Speaker 1 (00:02):
The Nintendo switch comes out today. Oh, we got somebody
on the phone randomly called in. What you're Henry? You're
waiting in line right now for your switch?
Speaker 2 (00:12):
Yeah? So I've been outside Costco for about three hours now.
Speaker 1 (00:16):
Geez, is there a line of switch people that are
all in line just for switch or what?
Speaker 3 (00:22):
How?
Speaker 2 (00:22):
Does not quite because since it's Costco, there's like it's
all outside, and there's like all the garage stores and
stuff that Costco has, so there's not really way they
can do a line.
Speaker 1 (00:32):
Oh, I see, so Costco's not even open yet.
Speaker 2 (00:35):
No, I see. Okay, everyone's waiting in their cars right now.
There's probably at least a dozen people here.
Speaker 1 (00:40):
No kidding. Are you out of your car by the
store door?
Speaker 2 (00:44):
I am in the car I have was first in
the parking lot here this morning.
Speaker 1 (00:48):
You know what's gonna happen though, somebody's gonna bolt and
beat you to the door.
Speaker 4 (00:51):
Go get out, Go get outside. It's nice.
Speaker 1 (00:53):
I would wait, Yeah, I'd wait in front of the line.
How many How many are you gonna get, Henry?
Speaker 2 (00:57):
Uh, it's got a limit of one per week, one
time for weeks.
Speaker 5 (01:01):
Jeez?
Speaker 1 (01:02):
How much is it?
Speaker 3 (01:03):
Is?
Speaker 5 (01:03):
It?
Speaker 1 (01:03):
Like four? Ninety nine for a Nintendo switch.
Speaker 2 (01:05):
To, so right now, for the bundle it's about five hundred,
and then for the console itself it's four fifty.
Speaker 6 (01:13):
Okay, what why do you want the switch to?
Speaker 2 (01:17):
I've had the old one for years now, like ever
since it got out, and I mean, of course the
new games are appealing too, but yeah, it's.
Speaker 4 (01:24):
So funny that there's a limit of one a week.
Speaker 5 (01:26):
It's like in COVID when they were like you can
only get one roll of paper towels one switch too.
Speaker 6 (01:32):
What are you looking forward to the most with your
switch to when you get it?
Speaker 4 (01:35):
Because I'm manifesting that you will get one.
Speaker 2 (01:38):
Oh boy, Mario Kart for sure.
Speaker 4 (01:39):
Yeah baby, So did you take off of work today
so you could do this?
Speaker 2 (01:44):
Nah? I got I start my shift in like two hours.
Speaker 7 (01:47):
Oh so you got to get in there right away
and get out of your car.
Speaker 4 (01:50):
Then Henry go get in the line.
Speaker 1 (01:52):
You know what I've been on. Like when Black Friday
used to be more of a thing. You'd get out
in front of you know whatever it was, Best Buy
or whatever, and then would sit in their cars until
one person got out. Yeah, one person gets out, then
everybody makes a mad dash and then you're mad at
the person who got in front of you because you
were there first.
Speaker 4 (02:09):
Yeah, you be that person, Henry, be the one.
Speaker 2 (02:12):
I think someone just see me to it actually.
Speaker 4 (02:14):
Then run out on the radio.
Speaker 1 (02:18):
I mean it was it was cool to have you
on the radio. But Henry, you gotta go get in
line for that. Will you call me tomorrow and let
me know how you like it?
Speaker 6 (02:25):
Absolutely?
Speaker 1 (02:26):
Okay, Please, I really want one, but I'm just not
going to ever stand in line for one.
Speaker 3 (02:31):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (02:32):
May the odds be ever in your favor.
Speaker 1 (02:33):
Yes, thank you, Henry. Have a great day, good luck.
That is the game that everybody wants comes out today.
Here's something else you do not have to wait in
line for. This is a trip to the iHeartRadio Music
Music Festival in Las Vegas with everybody from Brian Adams
to Mariah Carey to Ed Sheeran. We're gonna get your
tickets right now. All you gotta do is listen for
(02:54):
the keyword and then text that keyword. Here comes the
word and the special text number. Good lie one on
one point free. HEYDWB has your shot at one thousand
dollars and a trip to our iHeart Radio Music festival. Now,
text the nationwide keyword lucky to two hundred to two hundred.
Speaker 3 (03:14):
You'll get a confirmation test and info standard data message
ry supply in this nationwide contest. That's lucky to two
hundred to two hundred. Okay, do that now, it's really
easy to do. Text the word lucky to two hundred,
two hundred thousand bucks and a trip to Vegas for
the iHeart Radio Music Festival. Two nights in Las Vegas.
Push up at a great hotel.
Speaker 1 (03:34):
Airfare, hotel, tickets, everything's included plus one thousand bucks. Bet
it all on black. Go to the rulette table. Bet
it all on black?
Speaker 4 (03:41):
What about like yellow? Can I better?
Speaker 1 (03:43):
Yeo? There is there is? You're an amateur, there is
no yellow? Oh no, no, there there's green. If you
are yeah, okay, okay, good, all right. You aren't difficult
to please. But if you want that money, you want
that trip, Lucky is the keyword you go. I've never
won this before. That might be true, but this could
be your time. So go Text the keyword lucky to
(04:04):
two hundred to two hundred. Vant did something he's never
done before. So far this year you had what did
you You went to Chipotle for the first time this year.
Speaker 5 (04:18):
Yep, in the past year. Never did that before and
it was a good experience. Then I barbecued I on
the grill. Never did that before, nobody ever taught me.
And then this I think was the best experience of
them all.
Speaker 1 (04:29):
Okay, and we'll tell you about it. There's actually video
that exists that we'll talk about coming up next on
Kate Worldwide. I mean, iHeartRadio app the Dave Ryan Show
on Katie w B. Good morning, What a beautiful day today.
I can't wait to get outside and ride the electric
bike take a high. No, I do not, absolutely not
(04:51):
the big we had with the big wigs tonight. So
we're gonna go home and take a nap. And yeah,
it's very important. Went on a little excursion the other
day with Bailey, and I was very impressed that you
two kids were kind of hanging out after the show.
Speaker 5 (05:06):
Well, we actually like each other, as opposed to everyone
else on the show.
Speaker 1 (05:09):
Yeah, I don't like any of you guys.
Speaker 4 (05:11):
So Bailey is such a kind friend.
Speaker 5 (05:13):
I've been talking to her four months about Costco because
I've never been, not because they don't have them in
New Jersey. I've just always lived with my parents. Then
they never went so I was just like, all right, whatever. Yeah,
And Bailey's offered her Costco card to me several times.
So I texted her Sunday and I was like tomorrow.
Costco immediately agreed. Bailey was like yes, So we went
(05:33):
and the video, if you want to see it, is
documented on Bailey's Instagram at Bailey on Air.
Speaker 1 (05:37):
It was so good.
Speaker 4 (05:39):
First of all, Costco the only my only qualm.
Speaker 5 (05:42):
Nobody gives a damn about anybody else in Costco. You
could be running down the aisle, the snack aisle, and
some woman runs into you.
Speaker 4 (05:50):
She don't care, she's not moving out the way. If
she sees you know, she's going to run right in.
Speaker 6 (05:54):
You go to right here, oh, the one across the streets,
and it is every man for itself at cost So
it's a lack of self awareness. And I told Vin,
I said, when you go in there, you're gonna have
to really pay attention to where your cart is and
where your body is because no one else is going
to like you.
Speaker 5 (06:10):
Know how if you're at a grocery store, if you're
standing in front of I don't know, the olives right
and then somebody tries to come get them. You'll move
out the way. That doesn't happen at Costco.
Speaker 4 (06:17):
It does not. They stare at you actually just be like,
what do you want? What kind of fun stuff did
you do in Costco? I tried some of the samples.
I was gonna say, was it a sample day?
Speaker 5 (06:27):
So many samples. I tried these delicious brownies that were good.
I got these the big jar of pretzel nugs that
were deliced with the peanut butter inside.
Speaker 4 (06:35):
The ones that you can hear shake.
Speaker 5 (06:38):
Peanut butter rattles in the pretzel. And then Bailey put
me on too. She wanted me to get a hot dog.
You know how you get the hot dog at the end.
It because they're so good at the end. It's like
a gift shop. Yes, it's like you went through. Now
you get this, you get a hot dog. I didn't
get a hot dog, but I got the pizza. That
pizza was so filling, it was so.
Speaker 7 (06:53):
Good, And you can get a whole pizza that's like
twice the size of an x L at Dominoes.
Speaker 4 (06:59):
If that's even a for I don't know.
Speaker 7 (07:01):
Like ten dollars dollars, right, Yeah, it so to do
that during like football season, go to Costco get a
ten dollars Costco pizza that was for football games obsat.
Speaker 5 (07:11):
I'm surprised, though, Bailey, that you have a Costco card
just because you live by yourself. Like I feel like
Costco even when I lived with my parents and there
was a couple of us in the house, we just
never had the need to buy anything in bulk.
Speaker 1 (07:21):
Correct.
Speaker 6 (07:21):
Well, my mom got a Costco membership for so you
get like the membership is like, I don't know, sixty
dollars or something, and you have two cards on it,
and the cards don't have to be on the same house.
So it's me and my sister. So my sister and
I both share a Costco membership. Okay, gosha, she makes
it worth it. And also I only get gas at Costco.
Speaker 1 (07:40):
So can I ask you a question, don't I've been
to Costco maybe three times. I don't go. Susan is
a member and she goes or whatever. But is Costco
more of an adventure than going to Target because you
can get kind of the same thing at Target kind of.
Speaker 4 (07:54):
I think they're two different adventures. Yeah, I've only went once,
so Bailey, you, I think I agree, they are two
different experiences.
Speaker 6 (08:00):
I just I love Costco because there's always like kind
of new stuff, and it is kind of nice that
you can get things in bulk because you never know
how much a toilet paper you're gonna need, and you
get a butt ton. Granted, it does suck when you're
a single person by yourself. Jenny and I have always
said we should go together and just split the stuff.
Speaker 4 (08:17):
In the parking lot.
Speaker 6 (08:19):
But I thought it was fun that Von got Togoni
already texted me this morning saying we have to go
back to Costco.
Speaker 4 (08:24):
I need a cooling pillow. I do that one, yes,
So it was really fun.
Speaker 6 (08:30):
If you want to watch the video, it's on my
Instagram at Bailey on Air.
Speaker 4 (08:33):
I put it to like a little Ferris Bueller music.
Speaker 5 (08:36):
I think the difference Dave like when you go to Target,
you go for one thing and then you're like, ooh,
but they have like these nice uh summer to core
when you first walk in, or like a pair of
khaki pants that you might need. Costco it's an adventure
because there's so much going on, it's almost over stimulating.
Speaker 1 (08:50):
It's kind of like an amusement park slash target.
Speaker 4 (08:53):
Yes, it's right here in our backyard.
Speaker 5 (08:55):
I know where else can you go where you could
buy a TV toilet paper, a big old pack of chops,
and a playground for your backyard.
Speaker 1 (09:02):
Right, and diamond rings too, Yeah, sell diamond rings so
and then get a hot dog on the way out.
Speaker 3 (09:08):
I love it.
Speaker 1 (09:09):
It is Katie WB will do Dave's dirt coming up
in a minute on the Dave Ryan Show. Cover that
for you, coming up next Dave's Dirt on Katie w B.
You play this a lot. Tomorrow New Mariah Carey is
called Type dangerous. It was a little snippet, little preview, okay, right,
(09:30):
I mean that one little clip is not doing it
for me. I think I get to hear the whole thing.
Speaker 4 (09:34):
Yeah, and then it tomorrow.
Speaker 1 (09:36):
Yep here tomorrow. I think pretty much every hour Jesse
j is sharing an early breast cancer diagnosis.
Speaker 8 (09:42):
Before no secrets came out. I was diagnosed with early
breast cancer. I'm highlighting the word early. Cancer sucks in
any form, but I'm holding onto the word early. I
have been in and out of tests throughout this whole period.
I just wanted to be open and share it.
Speaker 1 (09:58):
Hey, make sure you do your monthly breast self exam.
And I think it's something that a lot of people
forget to do or just don't think that it's ever
going to happen to them. But and here's some good
news if I can, you know, as a guy, offer
good news. I've known my wife, my daughter, my ex fiance,
and leave Olswick all did their monthly breast self exam
and found a lump. And my wife found one about
(10:20):
Speaker 7 (10:21):
Yeah, I found Well mine was when I was like
twenty four years.
Speaker 1 (10:24):
Old, Okay, and you get really nervous, and my wife
went in because you know, it's a little frightening. Of
all those women, not one of them had breast cancer
and it was all just like a cist or of.
Speaker 4 (10:37):
Something weird, something weird, yeah, tissue.
Speaker 1 (10:39):
Something like that. Yeah. So so don't be afraid to
find it, and if you do, go in, because chances
are pretty good that it's just a lump or assist
and they'll remove it or whatever.
Speaker 6 (10:48):
And if it's not, it's a good thing that you
went in to get it figured out exactly right.
Speaker 1 (10:52):
Yes, So our Inni Grande and Cynthia Rivo sing four
good in the new Wicked trailer. This is kind of
an odd story. It hesitated to rather read this one
or not. But in the movie The Outsiders, which is
forty something years old, there's a publicity still and Patrick
(11:14):
swayzee you've heard of him. He was in this movie
with Rob Low, and I think maybe I don't know
if Tom Cruise was in a bunch of like young
stars around nineteen eighty or eighty one. And here's Rob
Low talking about how Patrick Swayzey looks taller than everybody
else in this publicity photo for The Outsiders.
Speaker 9 (11:33):
There's another sort of group shot of us that became
the Group Shop.
Speaker 1 (11:36):
We're standing in an alley and if.
Speaker 9 (11:38):
You look at it really closely, Swaysy's standing on a
platform of bricks that he's built for himself away so
he can be taller. It's the famous black and white
photo of all of us standing in the alley.
Speaker 4 (11:49):
And I was like, whenever you know, if I'm walking
out and people, hey, will you sign this? And is
that photo? I always circle the bricks.
Speaker 1 (11:55):
Paw, come on, Patrick Swayzey's dad, Rob Low. A little
respect for the.
Speaker 7 (12:00):
Dead, yeah, A little respect for people who break up
as well, leave Dakota Johnson and Chris Martin alone because
they are no longer together after about eight years.
Speaker 4 (12:09):
And I forget that.
Speaker 7 (12:10):
Chris Martin was with Gwyneth Paltrow for a long time,
but they broke up recently. Apparently they were seen leaving
a yoga class together and they were in a sour mood.
And who leaves yoga in a sour mood?
Speaker 4 (12:23):
You leave there? Not mus stays stay okay day.
Speaker 7 (12:27):
But they are no longer and there was quite the
age difference. But honestly, a Hollywood forty eight, Chris Martin's
forty eight.
Speaker 4 (12:33):
She is thirty five years old.
Speaker 6 (12:35):
Yeah, he's he has a lot of like long term
relationships that Chris Martin. He must be a good boyfriend type.
I mean, even though they haven't worked out for him.
Speaker 1 (12:43):
I will tell you this one though. I saw him
at the iHeartRadio Music Festival last year. It was just
him and a piano and a guitar, and that m
effort entertained that entire arena, arena of eighteen thousand people,
just himself with a piano and a guitar.
Speaker 4 (12:55):
Yeah, you love him.
Speaker 1 (12:55):
It was amazing. I loved him even more after seeing that.
Speaker 7 (12:58):
I mean, I've seen cold Play in concert and it
actually not being the biggest cold Play song and not
knowing a ton of their songs, it's one of the
best concerts I've ever been to.
Speaker 4 (13:05):
Yeah, Okay, it's very entertaining.
Speaker 7 (13:07):
It's a very colorful kind of vibe, super super upbeat
and fun, except for when they sing is It Yellow?
Speaker 4 (13:13):
Is the really sad one?
Speaker 10 (13:15):
Oh?
Speaker 4 (13:16):
Fix You? Is so sad?
Speaker 5 (13:17):
Will fix You? You were getting ready to leave the
Twin Cities. You were like, I'm tired of this cold weather.
You're gonna go move to I don't know, Seattle where
it's a bit warmer. But they're making Krispy Kreme back
here in the Twin Cities, so you decide. I'm gonna
say they're making their first location in what years? It's yeah,
wrong thing, but I guess it's.
Speaker 1 (13:39):
Life.
Speaker 4 (13:39):
Yeah, to get your Krispy Kreme.
Speaker 5 (13:40):
Krispy Kream is coming back to Friendly Fridley. There's no
I guess release date on like when they're opening the store,
but it's at uh Man, I'll give you the address.
Five five University A Northeast and Fridley.
Speaker 4 (13:51):
Oh, that's that.
Speaker 1 (13:52):
It opened in about two thousand or so and it
was a huge deal. But it came right on the
beginning of the low carb diet thing for sure, so
people didn't I mean, Krispy Kremes there used to be
all over the place and it was a huge deal,
and within a couple of years they were all gone.
Kind of like tim Hortons. Is that name ring a bell?
Speaker 4 (14:12):
Yeah, aren't there some of those around here too?
Speaker 7 (14:15):
No, it's more so a Canadian based Tim Hortons is
like the Starbucks of Canada. But then they tried to
bring it into the United States and miserably.
Speaker 1 (14:22):
Yeah, it does really well in Ohio because I have
friends that live in Ohio and tim Hortons is huge
out there. They brought it out here. I think it's
because Caribou and Starbucks are so dominant that there's just
no room for another major worldwide chain line.
Speaker 6 (14:36):
I love donuts, though, I feel like, I mean, I
could eat a donut every day. You can't even remember
the last time I ate a donut, and that makes
me sad.
Speaker 4 (14:44):
I love a donut.
Speaker 1 (14:44):
We used to a bit called donut or Done It,
and we would have people call their mother and then
mom would say whether they've most recently done it or
had a donut.
Speaker 4 (14:53):
And was donut.
Speaker 1 (14:54):
So I'm sure, let's write that down tomorrow, Bailey, Mama, Ronda,
We'll call Mama and ask her whether she's more recently.
Speaker 6 (15:02):
I just told her, Miranda, she's most recently had a donut.
Speaker 1 (15:07):
You don't know that for sure, I know.
Speaker 4 (15:09):
I feel like I know. Okay, can I share one
more dirt story? This is cool?
Speaker 5 (15:13):
So me and Dave watched this show Adolescence, and it
was about this kid who attempted or not he committed
murder on one of his classmates and it was a
whole thing.
Speaker 4 (15:21):
It was I think number one on Netflix.
Speaker 5 (15:23):
Well, the kid, Owen Cooper, was on Jimmy Fallton last
night and he got praise from two really big actors
and he sent me a.
Speaker 10 (15:29):
Video and it's Leonardo Kaprio sat next to him and
he's saying, hey, Owen, I'm such a massive fan of Adolescence.
Speaker 4 (15:37):
And I was like, what people were comparing you to him?
People are comparing you to Robert de Niro. Oh yeah,
you see something? Yeah, how does it feel? This is weird?
To be honest, I think it is.
Speaker 10 (15:50):
To me.
Speaker 4 (15:51):
He's just a normal kid.
Speaker 10 (15:52):
For Lawrenson to be even in the same conversation as
Robert Narrows is crazy.
Speaker 4 (15:57):
So the whole show is good.
Speaker 5 (15:58):
If you need any convincing that he's in line with
the Robert de Niros of the Leonardo Dicaprioles, watch the
whole show, but specifically episode three, the interrogation scene.
Speaker 4 (16:06):
Episode.
Speaker 1 (16:07):
Yeah, it really is a good show. I mean, it's
almost one that I would kind of want to go
back and watch it again, even though I know how
it ends. And again I've said it before a million times.
That's the one where it's one long camera shot per episode,
no cuts. No, it's just really a cool way to
do it. That is the dirt brought to you by
six one two Injuredheimer and Lammer's Injury Law. Remind you
that Bailey, Bailey, No, Jenny and I are going to
(16:29):
be at Burnsville Cub tomorrow from one until three. We
got free Halsey tickets, we got Cub gift cards to
give away. She's gonna hang out and get a selfie
taken and hang out at Cub Foods tomorrow in Burnsville
tomorrow for Bye Burnsville Center.
Speaker 4 (16:43):
Just to clarify because there might be more than one.
Speaker 1 (16:45):
It's the brand new one, so we'd love to see
you there. Have a great day, enjoy all that sun,
and we will see you tomorrow here on Katie WB.
