sitting around talking yesterday about something that made you think
about the dating world and men and things that you.

Had a problem with.

So I've been going to a lot of like singles events,
I did that Date Night podcast, I do Pitch a
Friend things, and so I've been hearing a lot of
like wants and needs from different men who are like,
here's my list of qualifications for dating, and so many
of these men who are likely in their thirties, the
majority of the ones that I've been hearing from in

their thirties, late thirties, even who said that they will
not date mothers, like no single moms period. And I
am I mean, I'm not really in a spot to
be like, why not, sir? Why not sir? Because I'm
in the impression here. I mean, we're all in our thirties.
For the people that I'm like dating pool in, we're

all in our thirties. The odds that you're going to
have a single mother in your dating pool is pretty high.

Yeah, And like if I was twenty three and I
said no moms, Okay, that makes sense. I'm twenty three,
but I'm thirty eight and I say no moms. What
do you mean no moms? Like you might have that
that might be your option is a mom. Because I'm
under the impression like, okay, if I'm looking for someone
to date, and if somebody said, oh, as a kid,
you're deal breaker, Absolutely not, because I don't need, like, okay,

you have a kid, because you have an entire life
before me. And I just think a lot of these
guys who say no moms, I want to know why
they say no moms, because in my brain it just
doesn't make sense.

I can take a guess. I think you would prefer
no mom. But at the same time, you might meet
somebody wonderful and then find out she's a mom. And
I know that certain women will not tell you upfront
that they are a mom. Yeah, they'll they'll tell you later.
I dated Julie. I was thirty ish or so, and

Was a mom. But she it was a weird situation.

She lived with her mother, so she had a built
in babysitter all the time, so her child, who was
about three at the time, never really was a factory.
It is like Julie and I would jet off to
somewhere exotic like Prescott, Arizona, and the kid was never
a factor. But I don't think that I've ever dated
anybody who was seriously who had a kid, and certainly

not past the age of thirty.

I because I'm thinking too obviously, there's a difference between
like not wanting kids, so like, oh, I don't want
to date a mom because I don't want kids.

Like if that's your path for your life, that's great.

If you don't want kids, you don't want kids.

But if you are somebody who wants kids and you're
a thirty eight year old guy and you say no.

Moms, that's what irks me. I don't understand.

How would you feel about a thirty eight year old
woman who said, I don't want I don't have kids.
I've chosen not to have kids. I don't want to
date a guy with kids.

I think that's fine because if.

Why is it okay? What's the doubles?

I just said, there's no double standard.

I'm saying if your choice is I don't want to
date a mom or dad or whoever because they have kids,
and your reasoning is because you don't want kids, that
is a valid reason to not want to date a parent, Okay,
but and so like not even mom, dad, whatever. If
you don't want to date a parent because you don't
want to be a parent, that's fine. But like, if

you guys are on the same page there, like me
and my partner don't want to be parents, fine, But
if you do want kids and you don't want to
date a parent, that's what doesn't make sense to me,
Like you only want your own kids.

Sometimes, Yeah, I think that might be it, because there
always going to be some other man's kids, and sometimes
you don't want to deal with another man showing up
at the graduation at the softball tournament. So I don't know,
I've never really dealt with that situation. Julie's baby daddy
was he was here and there, he was there, but

he was never a problem.

Yeah, so I don't really have a whole love experience before.

I'm just trying to like put my feet into the
shoes of guys who don't want to date a woman
with kids, And I'm gonna guess it's just it's kind
of like you don't want a used car. If you
don't have to have a used car, you want a
brand new shiny car that's only been your car, I
mean either analogy.

Even so, if you're thirty.

Five to forty five to in that age range and
you say I want my own kids, like you're getting
to the point where you're getting kind of older, and like,
so are you gonna forty five and have your own kid?

I don't know.

I think there are some guys who are absolutely fine
with dating a woman with kids, yeah, and some guys
who are not.

And that's just kind of the way it is. We

Yes. Hello so WHEN i first started dating my now,
husband he had a rule that he didn't tell people
that he was dating about the children that he had
right away because he wanted the person to get to
know him you more. Hands but then ALSO i have
talk to do this that have been LIKE i don't

want to stay a mom BECAUSE i want to sire
my own. Children AND i thought that that was the
most disgusting reasons behind.

my own childrens.

It is, gross but it's definitely something That i've heard.
Before so maybe that's part of like the weird reasoning behind,
it not getting it as like, yay that's a good.

You, know it's really interesting because some step parents become
just as close or closer than the actual, parent and
then some of them the kids just never really gets.
Attached and you, KNOW i don't know they didn't never
really form that, attachment BUT i think a lot of the,
time of course they do text messages to see, Basically,

Again, YEAH i JUST i was qualmed over the fact
that in my dating life in like thirty five to
forty five year old men say that they will not
date a single. Mom AND i don't understand people in
their thirties forties who are dating who say they will
not date a. Parent it doesn't make sense to me
because the likelihood the pool that you're looking in is

going to be looking towards parents and or at least divorce.

do want, KIDS i not date a parent BECAUSE.

oh on a troubled sixteen year old that can't stay

in the guy and also men in. General we are

came into his life and he rethought. That we've been
going strong for three and a half. Years it's little,
literally because he didn't want to deal with the possible

going to walk away from the love of your life

won't date a parent you're really closing yourself off to

date a guy with a. Beard beard's. Gross, Okay well

DATE a guy's got to be at least four inches

if you met a guy who was five foot six
and you're, like, Damn i've never met anybody who makes

young single mom with three. Kids i'm thirty. Seven twins
are about to turn. Seventeen youngest is about to turn. Eleven,

i have no interest in blending of family or anything
being that. Serious, okay so that would kind of like

be my line in this dand, like, yeah sure we can,
date but LIKE i don't really want anything to do
with your, kids AND i don't want you to have
anything to do with.

Why, okay so the by TWINS i had WHEN i was,
TWENTY i met my ex cousin and we had more children.

know especially with kids as old as mine, are as
they are almost seventeen year, old men, themselves like they

as someone dating in their, forties the difference between a
parent and a single person without kids is like living
