Speaker 1 (00:01):
There. It is Friday Dance Party. Kd WB kind of
threw me off when I heard that Journey song come in.
There's like then it got kind of cool. It's KDWB.
It's gonna beautiful out today. David Busters is the place
to be the Southdale location today from four until six,
a little happy hour with the Dave Ryan in the
morning show playing games. It's a grand new opening, grant brand. Yeah.
(00:27):
And if you haven't been there, they have food, but
not just bar food. They don't have just wings and burgers.
They had everything. And we were there around Christmas time,
so good. They have all the new games, a lot
of your classic games, and we will see you there
four until six. Everybody in the show is going to
be there and you win like a year's free gaming
(00:48):
from David Busters. We did the brackets this week. Every month,
every week during the month of March, we're doing brackets.
We did fast Foods. That one was won by Culver's.
Speaker 2 (00:59):
Is that right?
Speaker 3 (01:00):
Yes?
Speaker 1 (01:01):
This week we did embarrassing things to buy at the store.
And number one want has been keeping track of the brackets.
Speaker 2 (01:09):
Oh man, can we run through them real quick?
Speaker 4 (01:11):
We have time just from the beginning because some of
these things, I feel like didn't get justice. So the
whole sixteen was pregnancy test versus laxatives, candy panties versus
headlice treatment, tampons versus adult diapers, cheese and a can
versus an enema, so stupid, plan B versus lube plunger
versus preparation, h condoms versus pads, and adult toys versus
(01:33):
bed bug killer.
Speaker 1 (01:35):
And the winner after all of this time, per week's
worth of voting, thanks.
Speaker 2 (01:39):
For all of your votes, was adult toys.
Speaker 1 (01:42):
Adult toys.
Speaker 2 (01:43):
Yeah, I feel like laxative should have made it farther.
Speaker 4 (01:46):
It made it to the second round, but then headlice
treatment beat it out. And I don't understand. I feel
like everybody gets licse laxatives. I just feel like we
much more embarrassing.
Speaker 5 (01:55):
Not everybody gets nice because everybody poops, everybody. Not everybody
gets light. Everybody could get LCE. I haven't had lice
me neither, That's.
Speaker 2 (02:01):
What I'm saying, But everybody could get it.
Speaker 3 (02:03):
I've got it twice, Dave.
Speaker 1 (02:06):
I don't really want to talk about it.
Speaker 3 (02:07):
Okay, you've had it a lot.
Speaker 1 (02:10):
Yeah, I don't really want to talk about it.
Speaker 3 (02:11):
I scorned you once you got your family.
Speaker 6 (02:13):
One of the best bits Dave ever did was he
told me to start recording from the studio that bounce
it's in now. And Dave was like, I'm going to
start talking about lice and I'm going to kind of
like scratch my head on the air. He goes watch
Stephen Fallon, see what they do, and they both started scratching.
(02:33):
I recorded them, but you did like a story on
you can't make this stuff up or something, but you
got real detailed into.
Speaker 7 (02:38):
It, and they both started like scratching.
Speaker 1 (02:42):
That's funny. You kind of like, if I bet there's
somebody scratching their head right now thinking about lice. Because
it starts off with just a little itch, not even
that big of an itch. And after a while and
then you start to get old. Then you got to
get the shampoo with a little tiny comb and comb
the knits, they're called knits.
Speaker 4 (02:57):
They traded license school like it was right. There was
lice and they scoliosis, both of those things. When they
did little checks every now and then they treated it like, okay,
you have to go quarantine for now.
Speaker 5 (03:07):
Well, now you can go to a place and get
your lice removed, like at like a salon, Like it's
a lice removal salon.
Speaker 3 (03:13):
Yeah, my friend Sarah used to work at one.
Speaker 1 (03:15):
When when you have lice, isn't it like in your
in your pillows, in your clothes or that's bed bugs.
Speaker 7 (03:21):
Right, yeah, that's bed bugs. So I actually know a
lot about lice.
Speaker 5 (03:23):
I won't get too far off here, but that you
can really only get lice if you are coming like
in contact with someone who.
Speaker 7 (03:30):
Has lice and your head is near their head.
Speaker 5 (03:32):
But like if they hand you their hat, their hat
doesn't just have lice on it, their their head has
lice on it. Okay, So the lice stays on their
head and it jumps from their head to your head.
Speaker 1 (03:41):
Does it jump?
Speaker 2 (03:42):
Yeah, they leap, okay Yeah.
Speaker 5 (03:46):
And then you can go to like the Lice Lady,
which is the salon that my friend worked at, and
get your lice removed.
Speaker 3 (03:51):
And I did as an adult, and it was kind
of fun.
Speaker 1 (03:53):
God bless morticians and people who remove your life. Yes,
I mean, thank you very much in the Lord's work.
Speaker 5 (04:04):
What do you got, Bailey, Hi, I just have I'm
gonna complain a little bit. Last night I went to
go see Dear Heaven Hanson at the Ordway. Very good show,
pretty depressing. But I'm here with a vehement PSA for
anyone going out public, especially to see live theater or
a comedy show or even a movie at a theater.
Here's some X, and you need to stay home a
(04:25):
theater X theater X. Okay, first, people on your on
your phone. If you can't sit for two hours without
looking at your freaking phone, don't go to the theater.
The lady two rows ahead of me had her phone
out almost the entire show and so, and it wasn't
like full brightness because usually it's full brightness. At least
it was slightly dimmed. But she would like look at
(04:46):
things with white backgrounds. So I'm constantly looking at this woman.
Speaker 1 (04:50):
Don't do it on her phone. It's just too It's like, oh,
my phone's on dim, but it's still very distracting to
people around you.
Speaker 3 (04:55):
Yes, exactly.
Speaker 5 (04:57):
That. Also, if you don't know how to set your
phone into silent or turn your phone off, don't go
to the theater period.
Speaker 3 (05:05):
Don't go to the theater.
Speaker 5 (05:06):
Don't go out in public when you have to sit quietly,
even church, if your phone goes off at church. You're
part of the problem. Don't go or leave your phone
at home. Okay, well, sorry, I'm really take a breath.
Speaker 1 (05:19):
Take a breath.
Speaker 3 (05:19):
Okay.
Speaker 5 (05:20):
If you can't keep your wine cup in your hands
even after you drink it down, let it clink clink
clink on the floor and roll around. Then don't go
to the theater. Gosh, darn it. Keep it in your hands.
I don't want to hear it rolling around on the floor.
Speaker 7 (05:35):
But it's empty. I don't want to hold it the
whole time.
Speaker 5 (05:37):
Then I need to set it gently somewhere, or stick
it between your legs so you're not touching it. Okay, gosh, okay,
here's another one. If you're sitting in front of anyone
and you're touching your hair, or if you get one
of those little seat cushions so you can be taller.
Speaker 7 (05:51):
Those seat cushions are for children.
Speaker 1 (05:53):
Take a breath. Take a breath. They're for childred, take
a breath.
Speaker 7 (05:57):
Don't go to the theater.
Speaker 1 (05:59):
I can't. Don't.
Speaker 7 (06:01):
She normally tell people to go to the theater.
Speaker 5 (06:03):
If you've got a cough and you can't keep your coughin,
get yourself a cough drop or don't.
Speaker 4 (06:10):
Okay, wait a minute, we can't cough at the theater.
Speaker 5 (06:13):
Well, it's always they always cough right when there's like
a really dramatic moment and there's silence on stage, and
then they feel awkward so.
Speaker 7 (06:19):
They go, oh, cute, keep it in your mouth.
Speaker 2 (06:22):
I don't choose when I cough again. Could we go back.
Speaker 4 (06:25):
You said something about people touching their hair, and this
is what's wrong with that.
Speaker 5 (06:29):
Well, if it's like something that they're doing constantly, like
touch on their hair, they're like being a distraction. Don't
be a distraction. Just sit with your hands in your
lap at the theater. Please go see theater. Please go
see comedy shows, go see improv, go watch movies.
Speaker 2 (06:42):
But don't be it.
Speaker 1 (06:43):
Okay, okay, I'm sorry. And God, if you could only
get this passionate about your job. Barely get any work out.
Speaker 3 (06:52):
It's my job, this is my job.
Speaker 7 (06:54):
I wrote this for this job.
Speaker 1 (06:55):
Yeah, we barely get any work out of Bailey. She's
the first one to leave at ten o'clock. And where
Bailey go? Oh she had to be somewhere for theaters
a happy hour.
Speaker 2 (07:03):
It's ten o'clock.
Speaker 7 (07:04):
I'm talking about They got good deals now Okay.
Speaker 1 (07:08):
Text messages regarding headlights jumping, it's a myth. They don't.
They do not jump. Well, I don't know if they
boom bop they get there somehow, but I don't think
they Yeah.
Speaker 5 (07:18):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (07:18):
And another one says, I'm working a school. Kids cannot
get sent home from school for having lice anymore. I
work at a school. It's no longer a valid reason
to be absent. Yeah, okay, well what should be?
Speaker 4 (07:32):
Yeah, we're just gonna sit in school day with lice
and just spread it to the people around us.
Speaker 1 (07:37):
Yeah, you know, you can't offend the little kids or
make them worry about their self esteem. Oh, little Jessica
Lou got sent home because she got head lice and
she cried, tough up. Toughen up, Jessica Lou, tough love.
Speaker 5 (07:48):
Don't hug her, rough house. Then they can't pass it
around with the hugging kids and rough housing.
Speaker 6 (07:53):
Well, then they have to sit on their hands during
the least thing that they could let me do is
stay home.
Speaker 7 (07:59):
Okay, life's rule. Just let me have my license, let me.
Speaker 1 (08:02):
Take some time off. They watch prices, right, come on,
we'll be back in a second. Remember you're never more
than thirty minutes away from your keyword for Sizza and
Kendrick Big Show April nineteenth, and hang on, we'll get
that for you coming up in just a second. On katiewb.
Jenny's been on Reddit. You find anything good on Reddit today?
Speaker 7 (08:22):
Something good.
Speaker 6 (08:23):
A lot of people are traveling in the coming weeks
for spring break. So I have a story about something
you should look out for when you're at the airport. Airport,
And no, David's not John talking on his phone super
loud so everyone can hear his conversation, because I know
that you are triggered by that.
Speaker 1 (08:39):
Oh big time. Yes, it that and people with fake
surface animals. But you know, we'll go we'll talk about
that another time. So it is what? Again? Is what?
Speaker 6 (08:46):
It's just something you should look out for at the
airport as you're traveling in the coming weeks.
Speaker 7 (08:50):
If you are.
Speaker 1 (08:51):
Okay, we'll do it next. Jenny's been on Reddit today.
Speaker 6 (08:58):
I want to tell you about something you should look
out for when you're at the airport.
Speaker 7 (09:02):
I'm going to read you a quaint little story.
Speaker 6 (09:05):
It says, I'm begging y'all take two minutes to think
about the people around you. I was waiting to board
a flight, and a woman sitting across from me was
fast asleep, headphones on. She missed the boarding announcement.
Speaker 7 (09:17):
Multiple people saw her but did nothing.
Speaker 6 (09:22):
I went and gently woke her up, and she was
so relieved she didn't miss her flight. Someone once did
the same for me at a gate. I'm not saying
it for cookies. I'm saying it because kindness is memorable,
sometimes pivotal, and it is in short supply. So if
you are traveling for spring break, I know some people
who are. Make sure you're looking out for people. Okay, Yeah,
(09:44):
And then there was just like a thread. Apparently people
fall asleep all the time at the airport. This other
perfect person said this happened to me once. I was
so exhausted and I said an alarm, but because my
phone was on airplane mode, it didn't pick up the
local time. At the airport I was in A girl
came over and gently tapped me, and I was so
grateful for her.
Speaker 7 (10:05):
And here's one more.
Speaker 6 (10:06):
I've never fallen asleep while waiting to board, but somehow
I left my purse at my seat when I went
to the restaurant restroom while flying alone. The couple who
were sitting a few seats away saw it and kept
watch over my purse until I came running back when
I realized I forgot it. I am still thankful for
those strangers fifteen years ago. So it's so not pay
(10:28):
attention to what people are doing at the airport. I
think the airport's one of those places where you're just
so in your world, but you're not in your world.
It's not a place that you're at very often, so
little things could happen where you fall asleep.
Speaker 7 (10:40):
Fine, you said you fell asleep one time.
Speaker 4 (10:41):
Yeah, last week when I was headed I was an
MSP headed back to Jersey, and I fell asleep because
I got there. I always get there two hours early,
but I was like, I am so exhausted, but I
tried to make sure I didn't fall deep asleep. So
that way, when they said now boarding group four whatever,
I was a weak and I didn't miss clearly, So
thank the Lord good.
Speaker 7 (11:01):
That's Jenny's been on raddit today.
Speaker 1 (11:02):
I would feel little funny going over to walk over
and I'd think, oh, somebody else will do it. Well,
that's somebody else is me? Yeah, somebody else is me?
To go over and walk wake.
Speaker 6 (11:10):
This person maybe, like if the person is not anywhere
near a gate that's boarding, don't go and wake them up?
Speaker 1 (11:16):
Well, yeah alone. They chose an isolated gate to take
a nappy, like, hey.
Speaker 5 (11:23):
Yeah, they're like, my flight's not for four more hours,
leave me alone.
Speaker 6 (11:27):
They finally fell asleep in the uncomfortable chair that they found.
Speaker 1 (11:33):
And now name that classic video game? Any idea, anybody? No,
this comes from the classic era of video games.
Speaker 3 (11:48):
I do wonder why do you ask?
Speaker 8 (11:52):
Dave?
Speaker 1 (11:54):
The reason I asked because we're gonna go play the
classic video games and the new video games, the state
of the art video games. Everything from the that you
sit down inside and it's got motion simulation to the
Claw game to ski Ball. All tonight at David Busters
four until six this afternoon. Everybody from the Dave Ryan
Show is going to be there. I love David Busters.
I'm so excited about this one. There's food, there's drinks,
(12:16):
there's prizes, and there's games. Somebody is gonna win my
year's worth of free gaming. Any idea what this is?
Anybody want to take a game?
Speaker 3 (12:25):
It's a shooting game.
Speaker 7 (12:27):
It is I can tell?
Speaker 5 (12:28):
Is it?
Speaker 7 (12:28):
Space Invaders? Galaxy something game.
Speaker 1 (12:33):
Well there's Gallega and Galaxy and because this is Gallega,
it's not it's not either one of those.
Speaker 7 (12:39):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (12:40):
Somebody will know what it is.
Speaker 5 (12:41):
I will Math Blasters now thousand?
Speaker 2 (12:46):
No love that game? What about four thousand?
Speaker 1 (12:50):
If you want to guess what it is, then you
can call me and I'll get you in free. Upon
you want to see if that person on the phone
knows what this game is. It's a classic. It goes
way back, and I'm not surprised you guys don't know it.
Speaker 3 (13:01):
I yeah, I've not heard. I mean, I'm I'm here
for it.
Speaker 1 (13:05):
If you know it, you know it. There's gonna be
a ton of people that know it. And the longer
I play it doesn't do any good for you to
figure out what Heidi? Hello, Heidi, Hello David. What I
like that you call me David? My mom calls me David.
I like that a lot. What What is that game?
Speaker 7 (13:25):
That is one of my time favorites of Senipede?
Speaker 2 (13:29):
What do you doing this afternoon?
Speaker 1 (13:30):
Hidi? Between four and six.
Speaker 7 (13:33):
Am, I going to David.
Speaker 1 (13:36):
Ja Bers. You mentioned my name at the door. You
get you in free? Okay, sounds good. Thank you, bye, Heidi.
Can I love that?
Speaker 3 (13:46):
Can we clarify that everyone gets in for Oh?
Speaker 1 (13:48):
Yeah, that's true.
Speaker 3 (13:49):
That's a good point. Yeah, I just want to clarify that.
Speaker 1 (13:51):
Yeah, they are not charging you to get in. We'll
see either tonight, add David, but.
Speaker 8 (13:57):
Kd w B with your chance to see Kendrick Lamar
and Sissa April nineteenth at us Bank Stadium. Just text
a keyword Bill to five three nine two one. That's
Bill to five three nine two one. A confromation text
will be set standard message of day resupply.
Speaker 1 (14:12):
Hey, go do that right now. Bill. This is the
last chance on our show. After this, there is no
more chances on the Dave Ryan Show. That is the
last keyword that you're gonna hear on the Dave Ryan Show.
So if you haven't played yet, it might just be
the one entry that does it. So go text that
word Bill, Bill singular text that in to KATIEWB one
(14:33):
five three nine two one. Dave's dirt coming up. Ugly
rumor about Harry Styles. We'll cover it next on Dave's dirt. Well,
dirt on it, Dave's dirt on kat WB. Okay, thank you, Natalie,
Dave's dirt on KDIWB. There's a rumor going around about
Harry Styles and I'll tell you about that in a second.
First though, shout out to six one two injured timer
(14:57):
and Lammer's injury launch. Not an ugly rumor, kind of exaggerated.
It is that he's going to be at this sphere
doing a forty five day residency at the sphere. It's
not true.
Speaker 6 (15:06):
You did chalk that up. I literally was like, who,
what can't there be about Harry? Yeah, I gotta listen
to Daisty.
Speaker 1 (15:13):
We had a little discussion earlier about whether Harry is
the most successful post one directioner because he's the prettiest one,
and then Bailey said, man, maybe maybe not really.
Speaker 5 (15:25):
Well, he's the prettiest one, yes, in my humble opinion,
but he is also actually very talented and charismatic, so
he's like the whole package versus Zayan, who is also
very pretty. He is talented, I wouldn't say nearly as charismatic,
not nearly as much of a whole package.
Speaker 1 (15:43):
Okay. Then we talked about justin Timberlake, how he was
not the most talented one of n SYNC. That was
probably j C. But he is the most charismatic and
the prettiest one.
Speaker 5 (15:52):
Yes, and that's probably why he did so well, is
because he is hands down the best looking out of
all of them.
Speaker 1 (15:57):
How come none of New Kids, none of Backstreet Boys
have had a solo career, I'm.
Speaker 5 (16:04):
Not because the only one in Backtory Boys that probably
would have had one is Nick Carter because he's you know,
the Yeah I tried, but I don't think he's nearly
as good of a singer as Justin Timberlake is. Yeah, Okay,
so that's probably why that, Like, at least Justin had
a decent voice and he was hot versus Nick Carter,
who was just hot period.
Speaker 1 (16:24):
Okay. Interesting, very interesting. It looks like Nicky Glazer is
going to return to host the Golden Globes next year
because everybody loved her performance at last this year's Golden
Globe So that's kind of cool. The fifth harmony, Aluma
Normani is engaged to NFL player DK Metcalf. They've dated
since two thousand and two, and DK shocked reporters at
(16:46):
a press conference announcing his trade to the Steelers and said,
I proposed to my fiance. She's right there. Hold that
rock Up Baby so interesting. Didn't know about that. OJ
Simpson's estate will auction his personal items. The prophet the
profits from all of his items he died. What a
couple of years ago are going to help pay down
his debt. Kim Kardashian offered to pay fifteen thousand dollars
(17:10):
that her dad, Robert Kardashian, gave to OJ on June eighteenth,
nineteen ninety four, which was the day of his arrest
for the murder of his ex wife, Nicole and Ron Goldman.
Robert Kardashian remember now he's gone too like he was, yeah,
long gone. But he was the attorney for OJ when
he was found not guilty for double murder. He wrote
(17:33):
inside the cover, God loves you. He will speak with you,
speak to you with his words. Read this book every day.
I love you OJ, and God loves you. But they
turned down. The estate rejected her request, saying they think
they can get more for you know, other things. So
Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni legal battle may cool to
(17:54):
a low simmer until their trials, scheduled for the summer
of next year. It takes that long. Wow wow uh.
A judge ruled in Blake's favorite to keep most of
the sense of material out of you. Looking for something
to binge this weekend? White Lotus. Yes, Jenny and I
have been going on a big deep dive onto this
show and we love White Lotus.
Speaker 7 (18:16):
It comes weekly, nay fully binge it.
Speaker 6 (18:19):
Yet there's been four episodes so far this season and
then there's still four more to come.
Speaker 1 (18:24):
Okay, good to know and that is going to pretty
much do it for the dirt. Just reminder that I'll
give you the keyword again because I care about you
and I want you to win the keyword the last
time during our show for Kendrick and Siss that We've
been doing this for a couple of weeks, but this
is the last one our show. Bill, But listen this
weekend for bonus chances to win because all weekend on KATIEWB.
Speaker 7 (18:46):
We have it all weekend.
Speaker 6 (18:47):
And just speaking of Bill, we do have Bill the
bag Piper coming in on Monday. I get a shout
out for that because it's Saint Patti's weekend officially Saint
Patty's Day on Monday, so he's going to be in.
I also would love to give a shout out for
everyone who's signed up for my fit club. Jenny's Fit
Club is happening this Sunday, This Sunday. Yes, we do
it once a month. That flight. This is in Saint
(19:08):
Louis Park this month. They have two locations, one in
Woodberry as well, so we switch off every month.
Speaker 7 (19:12):
And so I've got a full class so far.
Speaker 6 (19:15):

can still join because people drop out last minute a
lot of times. Just go to Dave ryanshow dot com,

Speaker 7 (19:23):
It's super easy.
Speaker 1 (19:24):
Okay, go do that David Busters this afternoon, last chance
we get to remind you. But that'll be a lot
of fun for until six this afternoon, all of us
is going to be there playing games, eating, drinking and
just having a good time playing video games and hanging out.
So have a great weekend and we will see you
coming up on Monday or tonight at David Busters in
(19:45):
Southdale with KDWB
