Ladies and gentlemen.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
We got Paul Wall in the building today.

Speaker 3 (00:17):
I haven't seen you in so long that when you're
on your way here today, I had a memory of
you making me rose gold grills.

Speaker 1 (00:25):
For my birthday. I don't know what birthday was. It
was twenty first. It was my twenty first birthday, last
last year, last month.

Speaker 3 (00:33):
And they were so special. They were my bottles and
they were it was my first.

Speaker 1 (00:39):
I got.

Speaker 3 (00:39):
Do you think there's an age on when you could
wear grills anymore?

Speaker 4 (00:44):
I mean your grandfather then anybody who already has said
you can't get too old, now this is your first
sent that might be debatable. Now I'm a salesman, so
I would definitely say you're never too old to biase.

Speaker 1 (00:56):
But you old to wear set.

Speaker 3 (00:58):
I was the oldest person that is coming to say, hey,
I think I'm ready for some grills.

Speaker 1 (01:03):
It's definitely been a few.

Speaker 4 (01:04):
You know, sometimes people who get financially stable later on
in life and they're like I always wanted.

Speaker 1 (01:11):
Or well maybe their teeth don't.

Speaker 4 (01:13):
Yeah, yeah, now that there's they got veneers, they're like, Okay,
I can get grills too, and uh miss them all
ve all over again.

Speaker 3 (01:20):
What's crazy is I just said that Grills, the song
Grills is nineteen years old.

Speaker 1 (01:25):
That's crazy. Which is wild? How much has changed in
the grills game in that time.

Speaker 4 (01:31):
Well, one thing that I can definitely say, I gotta
shout out my boy Johnny Dang because the opportunity he
gave me to be a grill salesman where he was.

Speaker 1 (01:40):
Johnny Dang started.

Speaker 4 (01:41):
Off as a wholesaler for other actually for Dennis, who
sold grills so go sol Go Teeth, and then he
became a wholesaler for people like me who would sell
grills out of their trump and just show up to
wherever you at or go do pop ups at.

Speaker 1 (01:54):
Stores or whatever.

Speaker 4 (01:55):
And then of course Johnny was like, there's too much
money in the sales game. I need to be a
salesman too, and he started he opened his own store.
We've been in business for a long time. Big shot,
my boy Johnny Dang. But the same opportunity gave me
to make my own hustle. He gives that the song.
There's like at least five hundred different wholesalers. We had
the same opportunity I had, and I love to see
it when I see you new up and coming jewelers

(02:16):
who are just getting their shine on and icing people up.

Speaker 1 (02:20):
I love to see it. You never give me vibes.
You don't give me like none of none of that.
I ain't mad at them. Also, you're like, yeah you are.
You know your position a lot has changed too.

Speaker 3 (02:36):
You've also have been on like in the past nineteen years,
like your life even as an artist, as a person,
you did.

Speaker 1 (02:43):
On were you went like on a health journey? Yes,
what was that? Like?

Speaker 4 (02:46):
It couldn't have come too soon too, because you know,
it's an investment. When you invest in your life and
yourself and your family. I mean, you definitely see those
returns when it comes.

Speaker 1 (02:56):
To the health. Lie.

Speaker 4 (02:57):
Look, I was the last time I seen you, I
was big. Well, the first time I seen you, I
was big as a house. Last time I seen you,
I was big is like apartment she shed in the
back of a midtown apartment. And now I'm looking you know,
I'm living on my best like I'm really just just
just loving you know. I mean all of this, like
growing my hair out everything. You know, I've lived my

(03:17):
whole life with a fade, you know what I'm saying.
So now that I'm growing my hair out. For one,
it's something you know, you get stuck in your waist.

Speaker 1 (03:24):
You know.

Speaker 4 (03:24):
I didn't think I would look good with long hair
or people would talk about me and wouldn't like my hair.

Speaker 1 (03:28):
You know, I grow my hair.

Speaker 4 (03:29):
Out and they got me on TMZ Like what does
it say? Like that means don't think too hard about it.

Speaker 1 (03:34):
Just headlines on a.

Speaker 4 (03:35):
TMS headline with something about me being a zaddy or something.

Speaker 1 (03:42):
You know, Hello, he's Zaddy. Hello. How does your wife
feel about it? She loves it.

Speaker 4 (03:46):
Look, she been telling me from day one, don't die
your hair, grow your hair out, grow your beard out.
I thought she would setting me a failure. You're just
doing that, so nobody gonna want me. Then as soon
as she was like, I'm telling you, I like grew
my beard out, you was Saddy.

Speaker 1 (04:01):
Yeah, she was like, I told you, she loves it.
She loves Oh that's my daddy. You've been married a
long time, right, yeah? How many years? Nineteen years? Wow?
God bless ye.

Speaker 3 (04:10):
Wait, so you have a nineteen year anniversary of wedding
and also grills. So nineteen years ago, it was a
big shift.

Speaker 1 (04:17):
For you in your life.

Speaker 4 (04:18):
You know what matter of fact we shot the video
for Grills the day before my wedding.

Speaker 1 (04:23):
Wow, so it's.

Speaker 4 (04:24):
Always linked together, those days a link together for me,
you know. Wow, it's a blessing to be able to
make me because I've made plenty of songs. Now nobody
celebrating too to have any song. It's celebrated as a
huge blessing.

Speaker 1 (04:38):
The people's chap too. It's coming up like on twenty
next year, it'll be twenty years too. Also nineteen.

Speaker 3 (04:42):
That's crazy crazy, wow, God, bless man, what a run.

Speaker 1 (04:46):
Thank you. And you seem happy, definitely very happy. What
is making you most happy right now? If you that?

Speaker 4 (04:52):
My family definitely making me the most happy. But you know,
I mean just enjoying small little moments, you know what
I'm saying. Not anything major or anything tackle it, but
just you know, the little things. Is I really appreciate.

Speaker 1 (05:03):
You know, my mom, my mother in law.

Speaker 4 (05:05):
They both at an age where they need to be
taken care of. So like when my mom come to
visit me. She lives in Colorado. She lost her house
after Hurricane Harvey and she moved to Colorado. She lives
in the mountains, at the top of the mountain, but
she still comes to visit, like once a month, she
goes to the doctor, and it's just the biggest blessing.
I had to be able to take her to the doctor,
to help her in the car, to put a seatbelt on,

(05:25):
just to any of those things.

Speaker 1 (05:27):
I really cherish those moments.

Speaker 4 (05:29):
She feels bad, like she feels like she's a burden,
and I'm like, nah, Mama, you got this is a
blessing for me to be able to take care because
I know a lot of friends personally who lost their
mother and the father, but specifically when you lose your mother,
it's just a lot of times it's does something to you.
You know, Holidays, Mother's Day, all the birthdays, and they
would give anything.

Speaker 1 (05:47):
To be able to take their mama to the doctor.

Speaker 3 (05:49):
So it's sadly people don't think about that till after
their mom is gone.

Speaker 1 (05:53):
So you seem to like be in touch with it early,
like now, definitely.

Speaker 4 (05:56):
I mean, look, if you want to be upset about something,
you look for, you're gonna find it. There's a lot
to be mad about out there. There's a lot to
be jealous of. There's a lot to feel like you
know you got done wrong or you know feeling titled
about something or but.

Speaker 1 (06:11):
You know, if you want to be happy about something,
it's there too. That's what I'm looking for. I'm not
looking to be upset. I'm looking to be happy. So
I'm looking for something to make me something working. Yeah,
God blessed. What a beautiful what a beautiful life.

Speaker 3 (06:24):
So with that spirit, you got new music coming and
so is that all in?

Speaker 1 (06:31):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (06:31):
This is like when I was a kid freestyling at
the lunch table. You know, this is like, this is
my dream to be able to be here with you.

Speaker 1 (06:38):
You know still you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 4 (06:40):
So to be able to live my dream and for
God to answer my prayers that I still pray for
this every day, so you know, for me to prayer
God let me live my dream. Helped me make the
music I want to make, help me make people happy,
help the music make make me happy, and just help
me just live my life that I want to live.

Speaker 1 (06:56):
This is thank you. There's always a thank you.

Speaker 4 (06:59):
You got to be grateful for whatever you have, even
if it's not exactly what you want.

Speaker 1 (07:03):
Be grateful because it can always be worse for show. Yeah,
for sure, what does this music sound like? What do
we talk.

Speaker 4 (07:08):
You know, the album is called Once Upon a Grind.
It's a lot of motivation music. It's a lot of
music to make you want to go out there and
be your best self, to put your best foot forward,
you know, and just to do your best.

Speaker 1 (07:19):
To to strive to make progress. You know, however small
a little it might be. As long as you're making progress,
you know, the journey continues. So you know, what's that
what the music is all about? Once upon a Grind?
You got to get out there and get off your butt.
Gotta grind. You're a grind to for sure, right because
you must be.

Speaker 3 (07:36):
You have to be disciplined also not just for to
have a career this long, but also even to get
to take control of.

Speaker 1 (07:41):
Your health and your life. In that way, there has
to be discipline involved in that. What is that? What
is that grind? Like? What do you? What are you doing?

Speaker 3 (07:48):
Do you get up at like five in the morning, Like,
how do you what are your disciplines?

Speaker 4 (07:51):
Well, I definitely got my you know, my little cheats
here and there, like when it comes to food or
you know what I'm saying this and that, But you know,
you got to be disciplined.

Speaker 1 (07:57):
One of My main disciplines is drinking a lot of water.
Even though today I haven't drunk too much, you know
what I'm saying.

Speaker 4 (08:03):
A water, I mean and instead of drinking juice, you know,
because we get it, we get it stuck in our mind,
and juice is healthy for you.

Speaker 1 (08:11):
And really juice is just full of sugar, you know. Juice. Really,
really juice should be called kool aid. You know what
I'm saying.

Speaker 4 (08:17):
Like, if you ever had fresh squeeze juice and juice,
it is night and day you have fresh squeeze orange
juice or any juice, and you have orange juice out
of bottle from the you know, the store is night
and day different, you know what I'm saying. And uh,
that's that's what just me. I don't drink anything like that.
I try not to drink too much. I drink a
little soda here and there, but mostly it's water and coffee.

(08:38):
That is what You're gonna see me drink every now
and then. You gonna have me drinking energy, drink if
I'm like tired or something. But for the most part,
it's just just.

Speaker 1 (08:45):
Water and coffee. You know what about working out? Working out?

Speaker 4 (08:49):
Now, I do work out a little bit, but usually
I work out just so that I can not run
out of breath when I'm performing, you know, like because
you know, I saw them like at a weird age
where people will bring their kids to show and some people.

Speaker 3 (09:01):
When you're talking about that with the Locks, because they're
doing a reunion show and they just turned thousand to
turn fifty.

Speaker 1 (09:06):
Yeah, so the audience, he said, the Lock shows are safer.
Now you don't have to really worry about your life.

Speaker 4 (09:12):
You probably experienced some of that, but you know it's
weird when they you know, I don't want to go
out there, and I'm sure. I mean, well they obviously
killing and I've seen them, you know, perform plenty of times.

Speaker 1 (09:21):
They always kill it. But you know, I don't want
to go out there.

Speaker 4 (09:24):
And somebody who parents then told hey, Paw, I'll go hard.
I seen him he go hard and concert, he got
all these songs. And somebody you know, your parents or
your uncle or somebody been telling you this for years.
All right, I'm gonna check him on concert. And you
see me on stage huffing and puffing.

Speaker 1 (09:37):
Run out of around. You know, hey, I got to
kill it, because if I don't kill it, they gonna Man,
it's what you've been listening to.

Speaker 4 (09:43):
So you know, that's my biggest motivation for working out
is just for when I'm on stage.

Speaker 1 (09:47):
I love that you did one of our questionnaires. I
like this. Let's see on your bucket list you want
to go to Egypt. Yeah, I'm gon toy. What are
you gonna do there?

Speaker 4 (09:56):
I just want to go check out the pyramids and person,
why don't you do it?

Speaker 1 (09:59):
What's toup for you? Just maybe time or not committing
to a time to do it. Just is so many
distractions and other things to do.

Speaker 4 (10:05):
Now that my kids are, you know, of age, this
is something that I really like want to share with them,
Like let's go to these places we see on TV,
we see on Ancient Aliens and all these other places.
You know what I'm saying, Let's go see what it's
all about. Just check out the Nile. Let's check out
you know. If somebody know he has a tattoo shop
right at the base of the pyramids.

Speaker 1 (10:23):
Wow, So for me to get a tattoo, right, you
got to get things like that. Maybe I'll go bring some.

Speaker 4 (10:29):
Grills for the for the for the leave them in
the pyramids, you know, what I'm saying. And they're gonna
be like, oh, somebody had grills fifty thousand years ago.

Speaker 1 (10:36):
It really was pow wow grills. Yeah at the Pyramids.
Your superpower is your positivity. I love that. Your celebrity
crush is your wife Crystal excellent. And then's smart answer. Yes,
I ain't got no problems when I go home, and
your pet pee, I'm.

Speaker 4 (10:53):
Gonna get me someone when I go home. I ain't
getting in no fight. I'm gonna get me something.

Speaker 1 (10:57):
You don't want no problems, no problem. You want her
happy with the Zaddy energy. Yeah, that's so funny.

Speaker 3 (11:03):
We have a little game for you today. It is
a grills Challenge. Okay, I'm going to show you some grills.
You being the grills King, you should easily be able
to identify what is the best set of grills you've
ever seen?

Speaker 1 (11:14):
By the way, that's set of grills, maybe not yours.
Like it's a personal I think it would be a
personal preference because you know, some people like the invisible set,
or they like the Prong set or just the traditional gold.
It's just a personal preference.

Speaker 4 (11:27):
My favorite is the Prong set where it's a you know,
a honeycomb where it's the round diamonds.

Speaker 1 (11:32):
They're all real close to each other. For me, that's
my personal favorite because the way.

Speaker 4 (11:37):
They usually fit. They usually fit really flush. You can't
really tell when you're wearing it. You don't talk like
you got a list, You don't sound like you got
a mouthful of food.

Speaker 1 (11:44):
Yeah, that's not good. That's that's my favorite. Those are
your favorites.

Speaker 3 (11:47):
Has anybody ever done one that you haven't done that?
You're like, dang those are.

Speaker 1 (11:53):
As.

Speaker 4 (11:53):
We talked about that too, like the changes and grills.
You know, back in the days you had to have, like,
you know, something that would symmetrical.

Speaker 1 (12:01):
Now it can be all over the place. You know
what I'm saying.

Speaker 4 (12:03):
Back in the days, he came to someone all over
the place, you're gonna get talked about.

Speaker 1 (12:06):
But now the style is different, Yeah, the artistic. So yeah,
there's definitely a few that I've seen.

Speaker 4 (12:12):
That maybe the old me, you know, would have been like, nah,
I ain't getting those, But now I see them and
it's like, oh, those are kind of hard.

Speaker 1 (12:19):
You get the style of it, all right, Let's see
if you know these? Okay, is that Caalise? That is
Caalise okay, okay for one.

Speaker 4 (12:31):
Slim thug Okay, Mike Jones, Yeah, I.

Speaker 1 (12:37):
Know these grills. He's like the prof he's a professional.
That Nelly. It looked like Nelly in the face. Yeah myself.
That's bum b juicy j I could.

Speaker 4 (12:54):
See those bumbe had those same grills. I know that guy.
That's the people's tampon.

Speaker 2 (13:03):
That is, in fact, the people's ship pull wall. Okay,
my grill was a little cook. Go back on my
my grills a little crooked right there. I need to
get it that adjusted o g grill master right there.
Katy Perry, Okay, yep, I know that is.

Speaker 1 (13:21):
I know that is. That's yachty. Wow. I thought this
was some Who did I think this was? I said
somebody else. This was the one that kept sticks, you know.
I gave it away. Was the braid on the side.
You saw that, and then and then they came together.

Speaker 4 (13:36):
When I saw the braid, it drew me to a
little yachty and I saw there's that's this big boat
there you go, that's him.

Speaker 1 (13:43):
He got good gums too. I'm just saying gum health
is important. Health. You don't want them to be red
or puffy. Madonna Madonna, Madonna, did you do this? I
don't know what do you mean? You don't know? I
don't know.

Speaker 4 (14:01):
You so bad, Johnny, we do so much and it'd
be like, hey, we do I don't know, do we
do those?

Speaker 1 (14:07):
We did? H that one? Take your time? Take your time? Mmm.

Speaker 3 (14:13):
I know it's a little tricky because it's one of
them crooked ones you was talking about.

Speaker 1 (14:18):
Yeah, it's one of them stylish crooked ones. Who is that?
I don't know, Young, I don't know. I don't know
what that is. Jaden Smith? Okay, okay, I'll show you
the picture after. Okay, that is Jaden Smith James Smith
with grills.

Speaker 3 (14:34):
All right, you're only two you're only two off, and
one of them wasn't really off because then you're getting
it right.

Speaker 1 (14:39):
So I'm going to say you're one off. Jaden Smith.
Caught you m that. I don't know. I don't even
know who that is. Who is that? Oh?

Speaker 3 (14:51):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (14:52):
Is it? Okay? Well I was close. It was in
the asaf family. All right, this is that's kind of wrong.
But yeah, what bag yo? I mean you got half
his eyeball there, that's the kind of ship. Yeah, Young May,
Young May. I mean when you got barely nothing, but

(15:17):
that chat gives it away. This is a very close
up one. He's a pretty though. It's a nice set. No, no, yeah,
it is a nice ship. That's a very nice set.
Who is that? I don't know. I saw that.

Speaker 4 (15:32):
I see the tattoo, so it made me think it's
bird Man in some way, but I don't think that's
bird Man, not.

Speaker 1 (15:39):
South Side a mafia. I don't know who it is.
That is Kodak black, Kodak black. Okay, Yeah, he got
a nice set right there. How many we got more?
Three more and three more? Ok I don't know who
that is either.

Speaker 3 (15:55):
Oh, I know who this is. This is an Ellie chopper.
The belts may not for you because you got it wrong.

Speaker 1 (16:03):
Too easy to last one for the wind, for the wind,
this happen. His face is there too. It looked like
some boy in the face. But I don't know who
that is.

Speaker 2 (16:17):
So okay, okay, tell it again.

Speaker 1 (16:24):
I thought you have to price him. I was like,
you got the price the.

Speaker 2 (16:28):
Grounds champions very well there.

Speaker 1 (16:31):
I thought you did amazing. What was the one you
got wrong?

Speaker 4 (16:35):
I was gonna show it to you.

Speaker 1 (16:38):

Speaker 3 (16:41):

Speaker 4 (16:45):

like I need yeah.

Speaker 1 (16:51):
I need the eyes. Yeah, the birthmark might have helped
you even I don't know if i'd have got it.
Just be honest, I don't know if i'd have got
it from there. You need this whole you how about this? Now?

Speaker 4 (16:59):
You know he doesn't look anything like Orlando Brown. But
when I saw just the grills, I was thinking.

Speaker 1 (17:05):
Why make me think about Orlando Brown? You know what
I'm saying. So, I don't know, the little peach fuzzy.
I should have gave it. He don't look nothing like Orlando.
Thinking that well done, sir. You are officially not that.
We had to prove it the King of the Gress.

(17:26):
If you need a grills investigator, let me know.

Speaker 3 (17:29):
That's amazing you continue to investigate in the lineup.

Speaker 4 (17:33):
Yeah, when they was looking for the United shooter, if
he had grills, now I wouldn't you know, I wouldn't
have told her.

Speaker 1 (17:43):
They had to pay me a high right, that's no,
that's the number one story in this town right now.

Speaker 4 (17:49):
My daughter was like, hey, if you see him I said, baby,
they already caught him. They caught him to day yesterday.
I said, but they caught him.

Speaker 1 (17:54):
She said, what, I.

Speaker 4 (17:56):
Was gonna bump into him and Starbucks or something like,
you know, like he's just in there like a regular person.

Speaker 1 (18:01):
