Speaker 2 (01:10):
It's always always fun, Like it's always fun.

Speaker 1 (01:12):
How did this all start? What was the first thing,
the first switch that went on for.

Speaker 2 (01:17):
You, I would say with music. It started just when
I just had left college. I went to Howe University.
I left college, got my own apartment in Jersey, and
I was.

Speaker 1 (01:25):
Just how did you afford an apartment straight out of college?

Speaker 2 (01:28):
First of all, I was making money from comedy skits
and stuff that I was doing for streaming, and already
streaming I was getting into. I was big on like
the TikTok, I like three million files going into college.

Speaker 1 (01:39):
And so you were getting TikTok money.

Speaker 2 (01:40):
Yeah, I get like TikTok money enough to get an apartment.

Speaker 3 (01:43):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:43):
I was doing brand deals and all that type of stuff.
So yeah, I got my apartment. And then I started
just freestyling on TikTok, going crazy with it, and it
started blowing up, and then here we are. I was
on a roll with it.

Speaker 1 (01:54):
That's amazing. Yeah, So you were doing comedy while you're
in school.

Speaker 2 (01:57):
Yeah, I was doing comedy.

Speaker 1 (01:59):
So we used the man on campus.

Speaker 2 (02:00):
I was one of them, like aside from like the
Q Dogs and the Ouphors and all that it was,
it was.

Speaker 1 (02:07):
Accused the Alphas and Zetti. How did that work with
the ladies in college. Was that like attraction or was
it like what was Yes, the.

Speaker 2 (02:14):
Girls like me. They was cool the tool and attract
you're a problem, and I was attract.

Speaker 1 (02:22):
They don't even see you coming, that's the thing.

Speaker 2 (02:24):
No, No, you see me, you see I'm not six
I'm like six to sixth Street. You're gonna see me
for sure.

Speaker 1 (02:31):
So college life was good.

Speaker 2 (02:32):
Yeah, I had a good time.

Speaker 1 (02:34):
By the time you got out of college, the fact
that you could afford your own apartment based on what
you was doing, it's a good time. Your parents must
be very proud. Yeah they are they What were you
studying in college? By the way, I was.

Speaker 2 (02:44):
I was doing fins, I was uh huh.

Speaker 1 (02:47):
Yeah, anything that you was learning.

Speaker 2 (02:49):
Play Absolutely not. No, I wasn't really paying attention that much.
I feel like because because I was like so much
on the media, and I was taking pictures on campus
with people. It was a lot going on, so I
really couldn't focus on my school. It was already like
a little he was already a celebrity, like a baby celebrity.

Speaker 1 (03:06):
Yeah, how is that now? Like you're from Queens. First
of all, what is happening in Queens right now? Because
y'all having a moment.

Speaker 2 (03:13):
Yea Queens Yeah, we all having a moment, having a
moment right now. Yeah, Swash had to swag too. But
I'm like being around Queen still, like you know, queens Bridge,
queens Bridge, going back, like going back to queens Biche.
I'm about to go back this week for like basketball
and stuff, like everybody just show love. Everybody loves what
I'm doing and they support it because it's not you know,
traditional like killer killer, bang bang. It's fun. So I

(03:35):
still relate to the kids. And then I got a
lot of the older people that rock with me because
you know, they kids could watch and listen to me.
So yeah, my city showing love for.

Speaker 1 (03:43):
Sure, I love that. For you. What is it like
growing up in queens Bridge, Like, is its notas like
a you know how like is there like oh yeah, no,
we gotta, we gotta. What is the legacy of NAS
as a kid growing up in queens Bridge?

Speaker 2 (03:58):
Nas got a big painting on the wall right across
the street from twenty first Street, Queensland Station. Queen Nas
is queens Bridge like like growing up like I never
really listened to a lot of hip hop, but now
that I'm in it and knowing that. You know, I'm
from Queensbridge, A lot of people know I'm from there, but.

Speaker 1 (04:14):
His presence probably went beyond that, right, Like.

Speaker 2 (04:17):
Yeah, Like I look up to a lot of what
Nas has done, Mob Deep has done, even mc shan rock, Like, Okay,
I'm telling you, I got to I got to come on.

Speaker 1 (04:29):
Somebody raised you, right, Yeah, my mom for sure they
raised you.

Speaker 2 (04:33):
Right, queens Bridge means a lot to me, Like while
I'm making music, yeah, and I'm you know, learning a lot.

Speaker 1 (04:38):
Yeah, So what were you You weren't listening to hip hop?
What was you listening to?

Speaker 2 (04:42):
R and B? Like my mom? My mom listened to
a lot of the R and B. Baby, Like, I
know all Larry.

Speaker 1 (04:50):
Fanta, we could do love at the karaoke. We're doing
karaoke at the barbecue.

Speaker 3 (04:54):
Case you want to jump, Yes, Love, I paid big
money to see that, any dude, I don't care.

Speaker 2 (05:04):
I'm doing at the end of my show. Some songs
you do, yeah, like ladies I want to sing.

Speaker 1 (05:08):
They be like, yeah, i'd like DJ place place your joint.
I love that all right? So what do people need
to know? Mixed tape? You did a joint? With fresh
Onetana shout out the French. How does that even? How
does the two of y'all even link up?

Speaker 2 (05:23):
You know, laying in bed one day and I got
a call and you know, he was like, yo, I
like what you're doing? You have anything for me?

Speaker 1 (05:32):
He called you?

Speaker 2 (05:33):
Yeah, woll uncle, he was in the studio.

Speaker 1 (05:35):
Wow.

Speaker 2 (05:35):
It was random, and I'm like French. He like, I'm
like French and he's like, you got something for me, Monny,
and I'm like yeah, And I sent him a song.
He liked it. I'm doing it real quick?

Speaker 1 (05:48):
Was it the song you had already done?

Speaker 2 (05:49):
Or sound like an open verse here? And he just
jumped it quick like. I was like, I know, I'm
really in the industry when you get a verse back
in thirty minutes, Like I've never got a verse back
that fast.

Speaker 1 (05:59):
That's sound like he out here working. He's looking around
fresh exactly. He was fresh out here. I love that
Maybe French will pop out at the barbecue, might see
him that he's been to them before.

Speaker 2 (06:10):
He comes sometimes he everywhere everywhere.

Speaker 1 (06:13):
Still, Okay, so so let me get the I'm trying
to get the whole story. So so you did so
you left after Howard you got an apartment and you
were still doing your tiktoks where you're streaming now?

Speaker 2 (06:24):
No, not yet, not yet.

Speaker 1 (06:26):
When did that kick in?

Speaker 2 (06:27):
I started streaming really after streaming university because now he
invited you know a lot of us out in what
it was May. That's why I really started streaming.

Speaker 1 (06:36):
Did you know Kai or Yeah?

Speaker 2 (06:37):
Me and Kai knew each other for like probably two
years now at that point, and you know, he invited
a lot of people around the country, around the world. Yeah,
people from Brazil, people from Africa, all that, and yeah,
i started really locking in with the streaming. So I've
been doing that ever since.

Speaker 1 (06:50):
Ever since.

Speaker 2 (06:51):
Two times a week. I try to lock in and
do it.

Speaker 1 (06:52):
That's so dope, what like, you know, people have ideas
like that and sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. But
the fact that a moment like that could impact you
so much.

Speaker 2 (07:02):
It did a lot for me. Like, yeah, streaming, like
the streaming world is so different. The fans are so
tapped in. Like if you drop a merch line or
you drop some merch and you dropped fifty shirts, like
they're gonna buy all fifty They're just so intune what
you got going on? Yeah, streaming is definitely another big step.

Speaker 1 (07:19):
I had Bean in here earlier. Basewag was here. He
said that I guess he dropped one of his songs.
He premiered one of his songs like yeah on your stream,
right yeah, and.

Speaker 2 (07:26):
It was going crazy. They were it was going crazy
to We're gonna drop O.

Speaker 1 (07:31):
How do you do that? Who runs? Like? Do you
handle all your business? Do you have like somebody that
books for you, organizes music? Stream Like? What do you?
How do you manage?

Speaker 2 (07:41):
You know? I got my manager, I how the Sean Press,
and I got Chanel that, I got the best publicist
in the game, and I got jurors who helps me
with my music. But in terms of like my Twitch
and my tiktoks and Instagram, I control all my pages
like wow, like six different pages just like working and well,
like I said before, it's not really work but everything.

Speaker 1 (08:00):
For but you're having fun, right yeah? What do so?
What at the core? What are you an artist? Are
you comedian? Are you entertaining?

Speaker 2 (08:07):
Say? Yeah, I could do it all. I could, I
could rap, I could. You know you're gonna see me
singing at your barbecue. You're gonna tell some jokes, some
jokes like I can dance, scance, stream all that. So
I would say, Zetti entertainer.

Speaker 1 (08:19):
So what ZEDDI entertainer? So where do we see you
in like five years from now? Was like, what's the
big goals.

Speaker 2 (08:24):
For you acting? I could see that like a movie
or like a sitcom something like that. Definitely some TVs
and movies for sure, TV.

Speaker 1 (08:33):
For sure. You did wilding out.

Speaker 2 (08:35):
I did wilding Out. Yeah, at I was scared. I
was nervous.

Speaker 1 (08:38):
Were you It was so oubt it's scared.

Speaker 2 (08:40):
Yeah, I'm like you, like, you know, you funny until
you get on that stage in front of eighteen thousand people?

Speaker 1 (08:46):
Is that many people?

Speaker 2 (08:47):
It was a lot of people in there, And what
did you do?

Speaker 1 (08:48):
So you came out eighteen thousand?

Speaker 2 (08:50):
What did you do? I said a joke and they laughed.
They did laugh right away. They laughed right away. And
then I was scared because like I got my little
joke out, they laughed. I'm done. That was it. I
was done. I was hot in the back. Nicks like,
where are you at? Co Nah, bro, I'm not on
that one joke.

Speaker 1 (09:05):
You know you can't fold when the opportunity, well, I folded.

Speaker 2 (09:09):
I folded and I didn't go back over that stage again.
It was over. I got my little one joke.

Speaker 1 (09:12):
I'm cool, But are you gonna get back out there?

Speaker 2 (09:14):
You have to? I will will. I'm more confident now.
That was my first time in front of that many
people like ever, and that wasn't performing.

Speaker 1 (09:20):
I was tell you jo and you hit your joke.

Speaker 2 (09:23):
Hit they k I did the little bell then you know,
hit the little bell, say your joke. Yeah, yeah, exactly,
say my little joke and they started laughing. I'm like,
I'm cool for today. I'm done.

Speaker 1 (09:32):
I'm done. I don't want to prolong this risk anything.
It's so funny. All right, So what do people need
to know? Where they find you? What's coming up next?
Tell them all the things.

Speaker 2 (09:42):
HPCU tour. I'm just I love that. From that, we're
going to six cities.

Speaker 1 (09:46):
They're gonna go crazy.

Speaker 2 (09:47):
Yeah. We started at my alma mater at Howard August thirteenth,
and then I'm surprising the people with another tour that's
gonna happen around September with a special artist. I got
my clothing line out how the good Son. We're just
we're sat launching it right now.

Speaker 1 (10:03):
You're gonna launch that you're doing it right now, but
on socials stream.

Speaker 2 (10:07):
Like an Instagram page for the TikTok is called good
Son website.

Speaker 1 (10:11):
Is this is what you got on right now?

Speaker 2 (10:12):
Yeah boom, and you know, Andie's barbecue August outside.

Speaker 1 (10:19):
Outside, so excited and yeah.

Speaker 2 (10:21):
You know, just more music and more streams and more fun.

Speaker 1 (10:24):
I love that for your baby. Will you play a
little game with us? We have a little game called
check it or a little I let it slide. We'll
give you a scenario. You tell us if you're going
to check that ship or you're gonna let it slide.
You got it, all right?

Speaker 2 (10:37):
Come on, all right.

Speaker 4 (10:39):
A fan interrupts your meal out youbing, you eating, and
they ask for a picture. But they tell you that
I don't even know you.

Speaker 1 (10:48):
Like that.

Speaker 4 (10:48):
My cousin just likes you.

Speaker 2 (10:49):
Oh no, you don't know me. Let the cousin get
the picture. I'm hungry and I'm hungry. Thank you, I'm
checking it. Leave me alone?

Speaker 1 (11:00):
No, rightfully, so how dare you, sir? And by the way,
they could have not even told you that. He just
could have kept that part to themselves. It's a little disrespectful.

Speaker 2 (11:08):
Because it just took the picture and then gave it.
You could have swindled the whole situation. Didn't so so.

Speaker 1 (11:14):
Out of here checking it. They say you're two hood
for a mainstream but then they steal your slang and
your lingo for a commercial.

Speaker 2 (11:23):
Oh check it, lawyer, Absolutely check it.

Speaker 1 (11:28):
Okay, let me do. Let me do one more. She
asks for a soft launch photo, but posts it with
an emoji over your face.

Speaker 2 (11:41):
Do you check that. I'm gonna let it slide because
she might. It's just it's a little soft launch. She
might not be trying to like show who it is,
but she's trying to show that she got somebody. Okay,
let the slides.

Speaker 1 (11:56):
You're gonna fall back and let see how this plays out.

Speaker 2 (11:58):
Yeah. Yeah. The next time, no, make the emoji a
little smaller so they could get a little more of
my face. Yeah. The third time, whole face, old face,
whole face. He's going crazy, going crazy. Yeah, let us slide.
Let that slide.

Speaker 1 (12:12):
IVY.

Speaker 4 (12:13):
All right, a girl that you like pulls up to
your show ten minutes before it ends.

Speaker 1 (12:21):
Mmm mmmm that hurt my feelings for you.

Speaker 2 (12:25):
Let us slide because I probably found somebody else I
like before she even came in a crowd. Let it slide,
letting slide, it's okay because he has already moved on.
Show is not even over yet, so yeah, yeah, it's
it's alright. Let us slide. That's cool. I probably did already.

Speaker 1 (12:47):
Someone you helped put on and maybe mentored a little bit,
get a deal and doesn't shout you out, not once
M check it or let it slide.

Speaker 2 (13:01):
Mm hmmm, I let it slide. If behind closed doors
you show yeah, you show love and you recognize that
I'm the one that helped you out, that's cool. I
don't need the public attention. I let it. I let
that slide, but.

Speaker 1 (13:17):
Don't ignore me.

Speaker 2 (13:18):
Like there behind closed door, you let it rock them
be cool, be cool. I get that.

Speaker 1 (13:24):
I feel like you're somebody that will help a lot,
will help people.

Speaker 2 (13:26):
Yeah, I love you. A lot of people help me
all the time.

Speaker 1 (13:29):
Do people come up to you in the street like
asking for help or how to get on or.

Speaker 2 (13:32):
All the time? Everybody? Oh, can you be able to
store my stream? Or can you give me a future
real quick? Gig? I promise I get you the bread
when the song go like.

Speaker 1 (13:41):
You've always got anybody actually sent you to bread when
the song went.

Speaker 2 (13:44):
Oh no, I don't think i've even Nah, I've never
even charged my for a feature yet.

Speaker 1 (13:50):
You've done free features for people.

Speaker 2 (13:52):
Yeah, I've done some.

Speaker 1 (13:53):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (13:54):
I feel like if it makes sense, I've done it.
You do it just because for the love if I
feel like it makes sense, Like if I feel like
it's gonna go somewhere and I do it.

Speaker 1 (14:00):
That's dope. Okay. Here's one someone creates recreates your exact
skit word for word, and it gets more likes than yours.
Mm hmm.

Speaker 2 (14:17):
I'm gonnalet it slide because maybe you just funny to me.
It gotta be. You might just be funny to me.

Speaker 1 (14:28):
I'm making sure I do everything.

Speaker 2 (14:30):
It's violence in everything I'm body.

Speaker 1 (14:36):
Okay, do not confuse is letting it slide with it
being able to report.

Speaker 4 (14:39):
Yes, yeah, okay, you get posted on the shade room,
but it's from the time that you tripped on stage.

Speaker 2 (14:50):

you can't check them comments. They be bomming. You can't
win again. It's like shave room. Comments is family like, No,
it's yeah, they all against violence. I might I'm gonna
check it in silence. I'm not gonna check it like
in my head. I'm gonna be like, but I'm not
going in the comments and check it. No, we have

(15:11):
never had a check it in silence. That's a check
it in silence. You just gotta check it. You got
to do like a quiet like a like a little quiet.

Speaker 1 (15:19):
John and just checking it in silence, checking in silence. Okay,
she posts you on her story.

Speaker 2 (15:26):
She you know what I mean, right?

Speaker 1 (15:28):
She uh, but it says has a sticker that says bestie.
Then you tell her but your mind and she says
you funny.

Speaker 2 (15:40):
Why that's that's like a specific one. That's a real one.
So she posts me and put a sticker and says bestie.
And I say you mind and she started laughing and
she says, you funny, bestie. I'm checking that. Nah, you're

(16:03):

I'm gonna let you rock. But if you fit worse
than mine, I'm checking it.

Speaker 1 (16:44):
Od last one, last one, Come on, make it a
good one.

Speaker 4 (16:49):
You make a decision to cut your roster off for
a girl that you like, but then she hits you
with the I'm not ready for anything serious.

Speaker 2 (17:00):
Ooh ouch, pulled that roster right back up. It's okay.
You can always add to it. To you brother, that's
somebody's sister.

Speaker 3 (17:10):
That's cool.

Speaker 2 (17:11):
We could be friends. I'm gonna add that roster right back. Yeah.
