(00:00):
Hello, and welcome back. It'sMilwaukee Admiral Center Ice. I'm Aaron Simms
going alone this week. Michael Jahowskiis off. This is our final regular
season show. We'll be back,I believe later in the fall. But
follow the Admiral's website and social mediachannels and you can find out if we
will have a show over the summer. This is our exit meetings show.
We will hear from several players asthey head out of town for the summer.

(00:25):
The team will change, as weall know, so it's going to
be an interesting offseason, there's nodoubt. Always is to start things off
here and to talk about the wonderfulseason that the Admiral's had this year as
the head coach. Carl Taylor coach, thanks for the time, Congratulations on
the season where a couple of daysremoved here. What was funny is last
night, as we're taping this, last night, I get a ding at

(00:46):
eight thirty Central Time saying pregame showon my phone, pregame show at Coachella
Valley, and I'm like, ah, that one kind of that kind of
hurt me a little bit. Yeah, no questions run. Obviously, we
haven't done it for a while herein Milwaukee, but whenever it ends,
the train hits the brick wall andit's very stuten you. You feel like

(01:08):
you can run for a really longtime. But eventually, usually in most
seasons, there is an endpoint andit is always very sudden. But you
know, we're still recovering from travelinghome and the rest of it. But
today will be a good day toresets and just get some home time.
So when when the season ends,I mean, how long does that stay

(01:32):
with you? We always talk aboutyou have to have a short memory,
but when the season ends, it'shard to have that short memory, no
question about it. You don't reflectinitially. Typically for me, I find
the body is just drained and youyou just need to rest and recover and

(01:52):
tidy up what you need to withyour exit meetings. Allow the players to
have their time and allow them toget it's a long year. A lot
of the guys don't even have aplace to sleep in so a lot of
the guys are trying to manage thatand trying to go home for everyone.
So you have to just allow thatto get tied it up. But it
takes a little while and then youget time to reflect and chew on things,

(02:15):
but there'll be no video today,and that's I guess to a degree,
it's a blessing. Yes, wewould love to be doing it,
but then to know that, okay, now we can kind of shift modes
a little bit. Maybe maybe it'sa little bit of a blessing or no.
No, I think you always wantto you want to move on,
but when the season ends, there'sno question you can reflect. I think

(02:38):
the players that through the exit meetinga lot of positive feedbacks, and the
guys we asked them to be veryhonest because we always want to improve and
we always want to push and findways to treat them better, find ways
to challenge them more, find waysto get our group to play better and
to accomplish the final goal of winningthe Colder Coup. When we were close

(03:00):
this year, but how close areyou really? What? You didn't make
the finals. You are close, but you're not actually in the finals,
so you never truly had a chanceto win it because we didn't find our
way past mom springs and we didn'tgive ourselves a chance to play hersheet.
So you're close, but you're notin. So therefore you regroup, you

(03:22):
reevaluate. Now. The hardest partin the American Hockey League is that your
team changes so much every season thatyou're you're not stacking. And when I
say stacking, you're not building yearson top of years. Each year is
its own individual item that has itsown course, and every year, like
whatever we had sixteen new guys isthe last two years. Things change a

(03:45):
lot, and that's part of thechallenges at this level. But you're not
stacking and building towards that goal. You watch the NHL, you have to
lose to learn how to win.You have to do all these things.
You have to go through the process. For though those are teams that are
stocking. In the American Hockey League, that doesn't happen. And that's a
really good point because guys like Markdel Geizo and Coleschneider and Devin Cooley who

(04:06):
are with the Admiral's last season andyou lose in the second round to Chicago,
you can't ask everybody to be motivatedlike they're the nineteen ninety Chicago Bulls
losing to the Detroit Pistons. Youcan't ask everybody to be motivated because,
as you said, sixteen players havenot had that experience here in Milwaukee with
this group of people. Yeah,so like because of that, so you

(04:29):
really try to burn burn, Likeduring the season, you're trying to burn
the fire and get the coals. You get those summer coals that if you
just throw a piece of paper on, they're gonna light on fire. You're
trying to create that environment in thelocker room where it's just it's always burning,
that desire. You're always trying tobuild that. You're trying to get
the guys to be closer together.Welcome back to Milwaukee Admiral Center. I

(04:53):
Smeron Simms going solo this week. This is our final show of the regular
season. The Admiral's year, ofcourse, came to an end a week
ago when they lost in Game sixof the Western Conference Finals to Coachella Valley
by the final score of four tothree. Coachella Valley and Hershey are playing
in the final as we speak. We had had the exit meetings. The
Admirals had their exit meetings on Wednesday, so their season finished on Monday.

(05:16):
They flew home last Tuesday, andWednesday they had their exit meetings. So
I went down with my microphone andrecorder and I recorded little short interviews with
several players. Some maybe back nextyear, some might not. Some might
be in Nashville, some might begoing back overseas. It's up in the
air. We'll just have to waitand see. One for sure, we'll

(05:40):
be resigned resigning with the team, and has resigned with the team, and
that'll be announced in the very nearfuture. We'll break that news coming up
in just a second. But again, wanted to get thoughts on several players,
experienced, inexperienced, rookies, veterans, all of that for this program
here today. So for the secondyear in a row, we are running

(06:00):
an exit interviews show and we'll startthings off right now, continuing our year
end meetings edition of the show withPhil Thomasino. Congratulations on the season,
back and forth a little bit withNashville. But um, really really a
fine year. How do you feelabout it? Yeah, it was good.
I mean, um, I thinkat the end it's it's always tough
and um our goals and my goalwas as well, was to win,

(06:25):
and um we didn't get the chanceto do so that's obviously, uh kind
of sucks to have that an inbut looking back on it, listen,
it was it was a lot offun, a lot of learning experiences for
me. So it was a great, great, great year for me.
And it's gonna be nice not tohave a little, nice little summer to
relax and get going again. Andin September, for I've asked a few

(06:46):
guys. It's only been a fewdays and we're already in the middle of
June. So one, is itstill pretty raw the feeling from from losing
out to Coachella Valley. Yeah,I mean, um, like you said,
it's I've never played hockey at stagebefore in June, so that was
obviously a new for me. Andum, you know, when you come
this far, it's it's tough. And um. You know, obviously we

(07:08):
thought we played we played really welland I thought we had you know,
I think we played well enough toto win. And a lot of credit
to those guys as well, theyplayed they played great, and um,
but it's it's definitely tough. Itsucks, and um, but at the
same time, we gotta look atthe positives and um, you know,
a lot of guys played played outstandingI think all year and in the playoffs
as well, So um, itdefinitely sucks, But at the same time,

(07:30):
there's a lot of positives and UM, I think we can we can
always look back on this as asa great year and UM, you know,
definitely a great year for for allof us. And it was a
lot of fun. And that's asa team. But how about for you
the growing and the learning and allof that stuff that went on this season
and much was made at the beginningof the year. You know that you
had to answer a lot of questionsfrom a lot of people about how you
feel about being sent to Milwaukee tostart the year. So what was it

(07:53):
like for you? Um, Yeah, I think it was definitely a bit
of an adjustment for me. Um. I think especially early on. UM.
But at the same time, Ithink as a year went on,
there's a lot of great guys here. UM. Coachy staff was unbelievable managing
it was unbelievable. And obviously theguys here, UM just creating the bomb
with them. UM just just itwas just it was just awesome. I

(08:13):
mean, UM, a lot ofa lot of things to look back on
and and be happy about and tolearn from as well. But UM,
it was I also had that youknow, that injury, UM, that
mid that made injury there, whichkind of sucked and kind of wasn't wasn't
part of maybe expected and kind ofkind of screwed a little screw me up
a little bit, But um,it was good. I think looking back

(08:33):
on it was this was the firstfirst year, um that I can look
back on and say, like,I went through a lot, and I
think I came out on the otherside and I learned a lot, So
um, it was. It wasdefinitely a great, great year for me
from that perspective. And at thesame time, I think there's still a
lot of things that I want towork on and I think that can that
can really elevate my game to thatto the next level. So we're in
the almost the middle of June, and like you said, you haven't played

(08:54):
this long, so your chance forbreaks there. There isn't a big three
four week bation coming up here becauseyou got to get back to work.
Yeah, it's it's definitely probably alittle bit shorter than um, but I
don't mind. I don't mind thatat all. But definitely a little bit
shorter than than previous years for sure. But um, it's gonna be nice
to spend some time with the familyand Um, kind of relax, and

(09:16):
um, obviously I want to watchthe Cup finals still, that's that's obviously
always a lot of fun to watch. But UM, listen, it's uh,
it's definitely a unique, unique situation. But I'm definitely grateful that we
had a chance to play this far. And um still still stings, but
I'm definitely definitely happy that I'm okaywith with that two week two week break
here. So absolutely, thanks somuch for doing this, Thanks for all

(09:37):
your time all season long. Havea great sovereign Simpson US Well. Phil
Thomasino continuing our exit meetings with Admiral'scaptain Cole Schneider, and I noticed this
season didn't end the way you wantedto personally or on the ice with the
team, but all at all, what a special season. Yeah, I
mean throughout the are we had alot of ups and downs and we stuck
together and uh we did the bestwe could in the end it was enough,

(10:00):
but we go home proud of ourselves, the Furthest. This team has
been in Milwaukee in eighteen years, the Furthest, A lot of players have
been in it. All in all, I'm just curious, how do you
feel now after a couple of daysaway the season has been done. How
do you feel a couple of daysaway from it. I don't know.
I don't think it's really going tosink in for a little bit. You

(10:20):
know, there's we're down three teamsleft, and this didn't get it done.
But to be that close that itstung a little bit and to lose.
But also now that's the reality. It's the American hockey Like players come,
players go every year. Sixty seventypercent of your team is brand new
guys, right, I mean you'renot going to have this team ever again.

(10:41):
Yeah, we're a pretty tight knitgroup, so not being seen every
guy that was in the room allthe time, it's gonna be tough.
But he makes some new friends, new places every year. So looking forward
to the future too. What standsout this season for you? I mean,
you had so many milestones this year, You're five hundredth point seven hundredth

(11:03):
game, all of these things,But what stands out this year when you
look back? I don't know.I mean we talk all the time,
and I don't really like talking aboutmyself, but just a couple of milestones.
It feels pretty good, you know, getting two hundred goals, getting
five hundred points, playing seven hundredgames, like I don't know, just

(11:26):
can't describe it. Just I don'twant to be done yet, so hopefully
I can hit a few more. There you go, and what you just
said. And I'm looking when Ithink of the team, and I'm not
insinuating that you're retiring or anything likethat when I say this, But my
dad when he retired, he says, I don't I missed the guys most
of all. I missed the peopleI worked with, and I got to

(11:46):
imagine and again not insinuating anything withyou, but again, you're not going
to have this team again, right, That's the most special thing is to
be with this group of people.Yeah, you know, we've we've worked
together for a while now and oneof the first guys in the room.
I like just hanging out with theguys talking, talking shop in the room.
And I mean that's one of thebest parts about the game. Well,

(12:09):
whatever happens, best of luck toyou. I'd love for it to
be I know your your your contractis up. Loved for it to be
in Milwaukee. But no matter what, You've been special here. You've been
special to me. Thanks for everything. Appreciate Cole Schneider continuing our exit Meetings
show with Admiral's forward Austin Rushoff. What was it like We talked about this
before, but getting traded and thenmy goodness, think about where this team

(12:31):
ended up. Yeah, crazy um, definitely one of the better parts of
my career for getting traded here.It was a fun little run first time
in playoffs. So just impressed withhow this team played and the character the
guys all showed and blocking shots, you know, taking hits, you know,
being physical. A lot of guysare beating up right right now.

(12:52):
So overall, I'm just just gratefulfor the opportunity. That's the thing about
the end of the season. Rightnow, everything is swelling up. You
haven't skated in two days. Everythingis swallowing up right, all the bumps
and bruises that have happened in sixteenplayoff games. Yeah, crazy um.
Definitely definitely beaten up. So takea few weeks off and hopefully just next

(13:16):
year get right back to it,you know. And again we're it's almost
the middle of June. There isn'ta heck of a lot of time to
take off A lot of times, you know, season's done April ish,
Easter whatever, and you got toI can take three week vacation whatever.
It can't be the case this year, can it? No? Yeah?
Almost, I feel like I gotto hop right back into it. Um
last year, I was done inthe beginning of May. So definitely a

(13:37):
different summer for me coming up.But because it's gonna be a good one,
well, a good one. Yeah. And so do you have any
inkling. I'm not asking you togive away any secrets, but any inkling
about what the future holds? Noidea, no idea. So I'm in
the dark just as much as everyoneelse is. But um man, I
would love to come back. Well, it was great to have you here.

(13:58):
Thanks for doing this, Thanks forall the time you've given me this
season. Best of luck. Thankyou. Austin Ruschoff continuing our exit meetings
with defenseman Adam Willsby your season, you're the only one who played in all
seventy two games. You had theexperience late last year, but this year,
what was it like for you?It was like first half of the
season was a little bit up anddown. I felt like it was a

(14:18):
lot of new impressions and you startof Hawking new coaches. So but then
I feel like second half I foundmy game more and more, and especially
in playoffs, I feel like Iplayed my best. So I was I'm
happy again. You played in acouple of games last year in the playoffs
for the Admirals against Chicago, butobviously you didn't get much of a feel

(14:39):
of the city of anybody really, right, you come in, you pretty
much gone right away. Yeah,it was, it was not It was
good for me, Like I gotto you got to meet the coaches and
like the staff and also get alittle bit fail for it and see what
I had to work on during thesummer. So it's it's a different game.
So it was. It was perfectfrom it to see, yeah,

(15:01):
what I have to work on,what you worked on, And as the
season went on, you may havebeen the most improved player as the season
went on of this whole team.I don't know what they told you in
your official exit meeting, but mygoodness, the way you skate and play,
and you and Spencer Statsni were justmagnificent this year. I gotta feel
that you feel the same way.Yeah, for sure, Like first half,

(15:22):
as I said, it was,I was a little bit a little
road coaster, and then I feltlike I found my game and learned to
use my use my strength, andplaying with Stas was found. We we
got coached hard, so it wasa bit of found to get that from
the coaches. And yeah, itwas just very good and I found that

(15:45):
I improved during the whole system. So your your first goal was in Tucson,
right, do I have that right? Where was? Do you remember
where? Because I remember talking toyou saying it felt like it was gonna
come, like it was just amatter of time, and it was that
high clapper or just under the bar. Right it was here? Actually?
Right? It was in Milwaukee.Yeah, it was in Milwaukee. It
was just it felt like it wasgoing to come. And then like after

(16:06):
that, you just took off acouple of big goals in the playoffs.
What was this playoff run like foryou? Ah? It was fun.
I felt like before the playoffs,I was like, we had guys coming
out from Nashville, so I wasI wasn't hunting sure about my lineup spot,
so that probably made me more sharpand more dedicated. So yeah,
I felt really good. Like playingwith Stas, we were coach against usually

(16:32):
like their top players, So itwas fun to have. I like that
shutdown roll. You don't have todo anything crazy. You can just play
hard defensively and then take what's givento offensively. So it was pretty fun.
It's a couple of days since youguys lost and ended the season.
How does it feel here today?Pretty good. It was a little bit
weird feeling empty feeling after the loss, of course, but now I'm just

(16:57):
yeah, just happy to happy aboutmy sis, and I'm happy to be
part of this group of guys andand looking forward to go home to Sweden
again on the mid my family andmy girlfriend and everything. So it's gonna
be nice. That's the plan forthe summer. The funny thing is,
and I was, I was talkingto Spencer, it's almost the middle of
June here. You don't have aheck of a lot of time to do

(17:18):
a lot of fun things. Whatevertrips, you have to kind of get
right back to work, right.Yeah, it's gonna be a pact summer
like in Sweden. I'm used tobeing done in like April May, so
I never paid this long, soI'll make sure to enjoy it and take
a break from hockey and reached outmy batteries for the next system. Congratulations
on a great season and then tohave a great summer. We'll see you

(17:40):
again in the fall. Thank youso much. All Right, that's Adam
Willsby. So that there is segmentone of our Exit Interviews show and it's
Milwaukee Admiral Center Ice. More ExitInterviews coming up in just a moment.
You're listening to Milwaukee Admiral Center ICE. Welcome back. It's Milwaukee Admiral Center
ICE. As we do our ExitMeetings show, the season comes to an
end on Fortunately, we're gonna startthings off with defenceman Spencer Statsni. It's

(18:03):
been a couple of days. Howdoes it feel now when you look back
on the season. Yeah, Ithink it's still still pretty raw now that
we're done. But it was agreat season for the team but also for
personal growth. So I think justbeing here with the guys and being able
to end it with such a specialgroup as something that I'll always look back
on and be fond of. Youguys played this season. It's four to

(18:26):
three, you get that late powerplay, it's like we're going to overtime
for sure, right, Yeah,it seemed like the way the season was
gone, with how many comeback wins. We had years hoping we get one
there and it felt like we werebut I just didn't click at the end.
And it's unfortunate, but that's howit goes sometimes, and I couldn't
be proud of the group. Youknow, I look back and you're from

(18:47):
Milwaukee. You saw Jannis in hispress conference for the Bucks and they asked
him if it was a failure becausethey didn't win the championship. You guys
got to the final three. Imean, that's that's something that doesn't twenty
nine other teams. I would haveloved to have done that. Yeah,
I think, I know. Wetalked about a lot in the locker room.
This is something that the Admirals haven'tdone in a while, and we're
proud to do that for Milwaukee andhave such a special group. But I

(19:08):
think we're gonna have a lot ofguys coming back next year, a lot
of new faces, so we're gonnahope we can do it again and get
even further next year. So manyguys and got that experience of the playoffs
certainly, but also of the NHLfifteen players played both Milwaukee and Nashville,
You, among them, got yourfirst eight games in the National Hockey League.
A lot of you guys are raringto go for a chance in the

(19:30):
NHL more full time next season.Yeah. I think a lot of guys
are gonna ramp up our training herein the summer and really focus on what
we need to do to get betterand get up there. But at the
end of the day, wherever weare, whether it's here in Nashville,
where it's going to tire our bestand hope to keep on winning next year.
I've always found that it's one thingto go from. And yes,

(19:51):
you're technically a rookie, but youhad a couple of games last year you
kind of had an idea what toexpect. But that year one to year
two growth as a full timer,I think that's so big, right,
I mean, this is going tobe a huge summer. Yeah. Just
in my exit meetings as well,it's you kind of hear stuff that this
year one of year two growth anddevelopment is something that's that's real vital to
become a great player in this leagueand possibly in the NHL. So I

(20:12):
think just taking the time to reallytrain, focus on what I need to
do and get better. This summerwould be really important. Which time do
you take off here this? Imean we're in the middle of June almost
it's fourth of July's right around thecorner. There's you can't have a lot
of time because you got to getback at it, right Yeah. I
mean my college seasons were like thirtyto forty games. I think I nearly
tripled that this year. So I'lltake a little bit of time off to

(20:33):
see how the body feels, andthen once I'm feeling a little bit better,
healthier and frankly a little bored,I'll get back out there and start
training. So you had trips planned, I mean, what do you what
do you do? Are you stayingin Milwaukee in the summer? What happens?
Yeah, I'll visit my girlfriend downin Houston. I have my dad's
getting remarried this summer, so headingdown to Hawaii for that, and then

(20:55):
just finding time to train and maybetake some little weekend trips if I can,
just really focused on training this year. Congratulations on a great season and
good luck. We'll see you inthe fall. Thank you that Spencer Stasney
continuing, are you're in meeting showwith Anthony Angelo. It's been quite a
year, huh. I mean, you look at how far you guys went.
You went through a trade. Imean a lot of things, a

(21:15):
lot of heavy things going on.Absolutely, um, you know, I
didn't really know what to expect goingany to trade, but got my mind
right and just decided to make themost of it and try to embrace each
and every day. And honestly, honestly, I thought it went really well.
We made the Western Conference Final, top three in the league, and
you know, a lot of growthas a player as a human, and
a lot of experiences got to sharethese guys that will go along way.

(21:37):
It's one of the amazing things aboutthis season is there was three four iterations
of this team. With the tradesand everything. You come in and the
team really didn't miss a beat.It was really amazing to see how you
fit in, how how everybody justworked together. Honestly, I think I
got pretty lucky being able to comein and mashlo with the team. And
then we had the guys from Nashvillethat all came down and we had a

(22:02):
really good roster, and honestly,it was a lot of fun playing.
You know, everyone played their roleplayed at their strengths, and obviously,
you know in the showoff and theplayoffs that showed for itself. We would
have liked the different ones all againstCochello. But um, you know,
I don't think we can live withany regrets, if any at all.
I was going to ask you,if it's been a few days now,
does it is it raw? Oris it have you have you? Can
you how quickly can you move on? I guess if you haven't yet,

(22:26):
I don't think it's gonna be ableto be moved on from for a while.
But um, honestly, it's Ithink we can tip our cap to
this group. Um, the players, the coaching staff, the trainers,
everyone in the front office, thepeople behind the scenes. I think we
all, you know, went fullyinvested in it and did what we could
make a long run. Personally,I can't really turn my head and say

(22:48):
we have regrets. I you know, I thought we played really well.
I would have obviously loved a differentoutcome, but you know, Coachella is
a good team, and you know, I'll see what happens with them in
the finals. And my god,was it fun. Huh was a lot
of fun. Just it really amazing. So now, what's the future for
you? You had said before whenyou came here. Scott Nichol is a

(23:10):
guy that you've run across in yourpast, So I mean, do you
have any idea what's next. Idon't want to put you on the spot
here, but I'm just curious.No. I really liked this organization group,
and I think it would be honorto play here again. But I
am a free agent of summer,so we will see what happens come July.
A free agency, it can bescary, but it's also exciting,

(23:30):
right, I mean, for thefirst time, you're really getting to choose
where you want to spend the nextcouple of years of your life. Yeah.
Absolutely. Last summer I was myfirst year as a free agent,
and it was definitely stressful. Ididn't really know how to expect, what
to think. And you know, with one of those years under my belt,
looking forward to this year, andyou know, I think when a
team does well, I think allthe players do well. So I'm very
interested to see how this plays out. Congratulations on this season. Thanks for

(23:53):
all the time you've given me sinceyou've been here, and good luck.
Awesome. Thank you appreciate it.Anthony Angelo continuing our exit meetings with Keaton
Thompson, who we're breaking some newshere. You're signed for next season already?
Oh? Absolutely? Um, yeah, stat to be back. You
know it's part at this time ofthe year, it still stings, but

(24:14):
I think we got such a goodgroup coming back next year. It's something
we can look forward to and kindof have that fire in our belly for
next year. Yeah. Every yearthis league changes so much. You've been
a part of it, You've beenplayed for a couple other teams with all
the change. Can you hang onto this for next season or is it
something that eventually you just won't bebrought up anymore? Um? I think

(24:38):
it Maybe the guys who went throughwhat they know. I think yeah,
I think we have enough guys comingback next year that it's gonna be something
sought after for next year. Um, you're not going to forget about about
what happened. Um, it's gonnabe with a lot of guys most of
the summer. But all you cando is think about what you can do

(24:59):
better and come in with some firein your belly for you the reason to
reach one You're going to give peaceof mind this summer, which is nice,
right. You know what, thestress of free agency, I can
only imagine wondering where you're going tobe and now you're going to move and
all of that stuff. So you'vegot that straightened out. But what else
was it about sticking around? Ithink it was just a family mentality around

(25:22):
here. There's a new guy comingin at the beginning of year, pretty
nervous, didn't know a lot ofguys, but everyone is so accepting.
Made it feel like a family rightaway. So I think it's such a
good organization. We got a lotof great guys on the team. It
was an easy decision for me tocome back. I'm happy to be back.
I'm glad they wanted me back.So I think we're happy on both

(25:45):
sides here. What are the plansfor the summer. M gonna go back,
get settled in Minnesota, move allmy stuff in, try and get
home for a week or two,see the family, Maybe get it on
the lake for a little bit, kind of decompressed right away, and hopefully
in like a week or two, kind of get back into get the body
moving again and start firing up summertraining. Have a great summer. Thanks

(26:07):
Paul everything this season. Thank you. Keaton Thompson. Continuing our exit interviews
with Admiral's forward Zach Stanford. Thisquite a year, huh, I mean
making it this far. You becamea fantastic center, all of these things.
It was. It was quite ayear. Yeah, it was.
It was crazy, you know, with everything the team went through, guys
up and down and injured, andyou know, it was cool to see

(26:32):
the group pull together the way wedid and in times that we needed different
guys to step up, who steppedup and got the job done. And
I think we should be proud ofwhat we accomplished this year. Obviously our
main goal was to win the wholething, but you know, I think
a lot of guys grew as peopleand players and that's always fun to be
a part of. You you wentthrough and ended up winning in Saint Louis

(26:53):
a couple of years ago. Similaritiesdifferences, I mean, it's a different
league, I understand, but it'sall for the same goal, basically,
to win the whole thing. Yeah, it's it's tough to win no matter
what league you're in. Um Ithink, and I think every team that
wins is tight tight knit groups, and we had that in Saint Louis,
and the group here is awesome. You know, every everyone's hanging out on

(27:15):
around the rink away from the rink, and when you have bonds like that,
it's you know, you achieve specialthings. You've run through free agency
before. This year will be anotheryear. I don't know what the future
holds for you. It's exciting,is it? Is it nerve wracking at
the same time since you don't know, or is it? Is it more
exciting because I tell you what Itold you a couple of days ago.
The way you've been playing, it'sjust been such a joy to watch.

(27:37):
I have a hard time thinking there'snot an NHL team that can't use Zack
Sanford for seventy five games in aseason. Yeah, I hope so I
made you comment after that year,I'm gonna flatter you. Flatter you say
something that was Zach you might haveto get on the phone for me.
But yeah, it's stressful. Imean, it's you know, you never
know what's going to happen, andum, you know, I've played a

(27:59):
little but now and I've seen alot of different situations, so you know,
hopefully things can work out and hopefullyI can find a spot to play
and we'll see what happens. I'lltell you what, it's been awesome to
get to know you a little bithere. Thanks for all the time you've
given me, who appreciated. Bestof luck to you and have a great
summer. Wait, and by theway, what do you do in the
summer? You you've kind of gonethrough this all these guys that they've never
been played to the middle of June. They have no idea how to treat

(28:21):
a summer here because you're not goingto have the month long vacation here.
Yeah, it's gonna be short.Um yeah, I think you take a
stuff away. It takes some timerelax and then you know, it's different
for every guy when when you getback on the ice, when you start
working out again. But um,like you said, it's short. So
I think you know, enjoy enjoythis short time we got off and get
ready to go for next year. All the best to you is Zach.

(28:42):
Thank you, Zach Stanford. Continuingour exit interviews with Admiral's forward yo At
Kim Kemmel, What was the playoffrunlike for you? Amazing? And I
got a amazing experience. What isit here? And uh yeah it was
great? Well of course, sodisappointed how it ends, but you know,

(29:03):
you you're learning every year something newand you're just going forward and keep
buzzing every since you got here. You would you have told me how excited
you were to play in North Americaand play for this team and play in
Nashville hopefully very soon. We sawthat excitement on the ice and it just
can you explain how you were ableto handle it? It looked easy.

(29:26):
You made it look easy out there. Um yeah, it's hard questing,
but uh, I think it wasjust the mindset, you know, like
new new city, new country, everything is new. Just do your thing,
trust yourself and yeah, just dosimple things and be bossed you every

(29:51):
day, dron to learn something newevery day. That's important because when people
get called up to the NHL orwhatever, they think they got to change
a little bit. It's like,no, the reason you're getting here,
the reason you were a first roundpick, is the way you play.
So just be who you are, right, Yeah, that's right. So
what's the summer like for you? What are you gonna do? Um?
Yeah, actually I'm not sure yet, but I think so in summer,

(30:17):
I will go back to field fora while and practicing there and keep working,
keep working out there, and uhyeah, thanklem coming backs. Maybe
I'll goose September right back here anduh yeah, that's that's the plan right
now. Thanks for all your timethis year since you've been here. Congratulations

(30:41):
on your success, and enjoy yoursummer. We will hopefully see you soon.
Thank you all, will you too, Joakim Kemmel. Those were a
few more exit interviews that you heardthere from several players. The Admiral's season
coming to an end, as youknow a week ago when they lost to
Coachella Valley. Um, because theCalder Up Finals taking place as we speak,

(31:02):
Coachella Valley and the Hershey Bears.Coachella Valley the Western Conference champ and
Hershey the Eastern Conference champ. That'sgoing on. Unfortunately the Admirals didn't make
it, but this is the bestseason they've had in a long, long
time. First time they've made itto the Western Conference finals since two thousand
