Speaker 3 (04:55):
How are you I'm doing good. Are you guys staying

Speaker 4 (05:02):
No?

Speaker 2 (05:02):
We commandeered the only air conditioned spot in this entire
tale game.

Speaker 5 (05:05):
You dog, Quimby, you dogged.

Speaker 2 (05:07):
Hold on a second. I'm not stupid. I might, I might,
I might be old, but I'm not dumb.

Speaker 3 (05:13):
Just just to make sure I stay hydrated out there, people,
it's a hot one.

Speaker 5 (05:16):
Good lord.

Speaker 2 (05:19):
We do have EMTs on site. If you feel a
little queasy, anybody go find him. They'll tap you up
with fluids. All paid for it. Don't have to worry
about it. Uh. Next to me, my seventeen year partner
who I've sat with it just about every single road game,
which is every road game we go to for seventeen years.

(05:41):
He's a lieutenant colonel, but you can call him Cat
in William DEM's cat.

Speaker 6 (05:44):
What's up baby, Good day, my friend. Welcome to the
new year. It is good to be with you. And man,
we're so excited.

Speaker 2 (05:52):
I don't know if anybody's ever really excited to be
around me. But I love like you know, I love.

Speaker 5 (05:57):
You a lots.

Speaker 2 (05:59):
Yeah, Jansen, you can go to hell too.

Speaker 6 (06:02):
You are my guy.

Speaker 2 (06:04):
And next to him, Wow, I have known this guy,
Jesus Billy.

Speaker 4 (06:10):
Hello, hold on, sorry, go again and check thirty years,
I would say, thirty.

Speaker 2 (06:17):
Years, thirty yeah, uh, put this microphone there you are,
good day? Uh wow, thirty years. Billy was the general
manager of Lost Weekend on Espanol Away in South Beach
and during my uh my formidable days down in South Florida,

(06:38):
Billy was domb and smart enough to hire me as
the Ladies' night DJ on Wednesday nights. And what a
great run that one. Hold on, man, And that was
when South Beach was was just at its pinnacle. It
was at it the top of its game. It was
an it was an industry. No hold on, ready, go ahead, yeah,

(06:59):
go ahead. It was the peak it was. And the
fun part about this, all right, Billy's idea, right, which
is genius. Right, you have Ladies Night all over the country,
all over the world, and you're still charging women something
Billy said, uh ten to three a m women drink

(07:22):
for free. And all it did was bring in every
horny guy on the planet. And the guys would spend
so much money. What was our average register ring after
we got it was a lot? It was a lot.

Speaker 4 (07:37):
But I don't take away from the fact that you
were djaying with CDs. Hold on, it was still he
had a library of CDs. I still have that library
and crushed it.

Speaker 2 (07:49):
By the way.

Speaker 6 (07:50):
But wait, can we can we take a step back.
You put this man in charge of something with ladies
that is like.

Speaker 2 (08:00):
I saw this from a mile away.

Speaker 6 (08:02):
How did how did you think that would work?

Speaker 2 (08:04):
I just knew it.

Speaker 4 (08:05):
You know, when you know something, it's a it's a
shee win bed right.

Speaker 2 (08:09):
Wow, hold on, Janson, I know for a second you
were on the dump button. Make sure you don't swear.

Speaker 5 (08:14):
I love how you already knew that.

Speaker 2 (08:17):
I am seeing you in Stadeo right now with your
right hand above just yeah, hovering over top of it.
It's great. So let's uh, I have no run sheet whatsoever.
I am completely unprepared, and that's usually when we have
our best shows. But it's also when we have four

(08:39):
other alphas on the show with Diaz Sacked, Trey and
Uh and Slash and Super Sam, who, by the way,
put me in my place a couple of times yesterday.
That was fun. Nothing better than working with the with
all females. I haven't won an argument in about six months.
It comes trying, giant ladies. Captain, you did a bunch

(09:04):
of research. Right now, we're gonna talk about last week's game,
but we're only gonna spend this segment on it. And
this segment's over in less than ten minutes. Man, I
thought last year, we heard that Jordan Davis looked really
good in camping. He was in shape, and he didn't

(09:24):
do squat last season and this year.

Speaker 6 (09:28):
What do you know, Well, he must have known that
he needed to perform because we didn't pick up the
fifth year option. We did this year but did not
last year. Correct, right, so he had to come in
ready to go. So look, going into last week's game,
he led the league in both solo and assistant tackles.

(09:49):
That was before the game.

Speaker 2 (09:50):
Right before the game.

Speaker 6 (09:51):
Now, the game he had last week one turnover on
downs with the run stop, two block field goals, one
return touchdown, five tackles, one sack, one tackle for loss,
and a bonus quarterback hit.

Speaker 2 (10:11):
Yeah, hold on ready, that is that is a career
for some defensive tackles, right, it is, it really is.
I mean, you know, let's be honest, that when when
when you don't subscribe to how he uh how he
roseman equation of building a team from the trenches. You know,

(10:33):
a lot of a lot of teams are just trying
to make a lot of teams are just trying to
sell tickets, so they try to make a splash with
a with a diva at the receiver position or a quarterback.
But we've all found out and realize even though for
some of us, including myself, it took a while to

(10:53):
understand that his approach, his philosophy to the game is right,
it's accurate. But most teams are a lot of teams
will simply put some thick son of a gun in
there and hope to you know, crowd up a lane,
you know, crowd up.

Speaker 6 (11:11):
The a gap.

Speaker 2 (11:12):
You know that that's generally what they're there for. And seriously,
that game for him last week and by the way,
like little redemption for him as well, right, because he
knew he was on the hot seat. And you know
it's what is the god the bad movie? Uh Texas

(11:41):
College somebody? Oh no, no, it's Wildcats. Remember at the
end of Wildcats when the big dude jumps up the
field goal attempt and box but holds onto it, rumbling, stumbling.
That was Jordan Davis. By the way, he looked pretty quick.
Nobody was catching him. Now he had an arsenal behind him,

(12:02):
but nobody was catching up to him. And uh, Chanson,
you know what, look, bead cap then chance and I
want you to wait and Billy, if you want to
add please do so.

Speaker 6 (12:11):
So it took a minute, right, I think he looked
at that Miles Sanders situation looking like, hey, look I'm
working to Miles.

Speaker 2 (12:19):
Sanders getting cut by Carolina.

Speaker 6 (12:20):
They no, just not just not being resigned. Right, So
he says, hey, what do I need to do? And
he worked himself in the off season, coming in lighter
and man, now he's ready to cash in.

Speaker 2 (12:33):
Well, you know, generally speaking, professional football players only get
one cash in. They only get one Yeah, you know
your your your NFL salary cap. For the first round
is pretty impressive. Sorry, Uh, it's a pig man. You

(12:53):
ready to come on a little bit? Good? Uh, usually
we get one chance to cat your rookie salary cap.
You know, Jaylen Carter is a number ten pick, all right? Uh,
that contract I think is a chance of what twenty
six million, twenty four million guaranteed?

Speaker 5 (13:13):
I think, so I can't remember. That contract is.

Speaker 2 (13:15):
Some some somewhere in and around there. So it's a
decent amount of money. But as we know what's gonna
take place here very shortly, Jalen Carter is gonna be
making a whole hell of a lot more money. And
you know, Jordan Davis, if he continues down this road,
he'll have that opportunity as well. Janson, talk talk to

(13:37):
me about Jordan Davis. Talk to me about Jalen Carter.
Talk to me about that defensive line. And you know,
we're gonna we're gonna save what we need to do
for today's game because we're beat up. I don't like
Nolan Smith going down, But talk about Jordan Davis and
and and what he's done and what he's doing and

(13:58):
changing the perception of everybody.

Speaker 3 (14:00):
Yeah, just think of how much he's needed to step
up in like the first few weeks, right, Jalen Carter
is out the first game because of the he was
ejected and so he had to play every single snap. Yeah,
and then the defensive line, especially defensive end, aren't getting
as much pass rush as they usually have. So it's
just there's been a lot put in his plate and
he's been excelling at it. So I just think sometimes

(14:23):
guys do need a few years, especially defensive tackles.

Speaker 5 (14:25):
We've seen that.

Speaker 3 (14:27):
So I just I think he's really developed very well
and in a time where they really needed him, and
he stepped up in a big time way the first
few weeks.

Speaker 4 (14:36):
Kat Billy, anybody want to add Yeah, I mean I
just want to say it's amazing to see the amount
of Green jerseys walking into Steinbrenner Field right now. I mean,
it's like a parade of Eagles fans taking over Sneinbrenner.
This is I got to paint the picture a little
bit here. Yeah, that's it, for bid, perfect love.

Speaker 2 (14:57):
Where are we here? I am trying to get a
little bit better organized here because I have not.

Speaker 4 (15:05):
Been the Green Legion logo in this center field up
everybody's seen that.

Speaker 2 (15:12):
Look outside green Legion logo right in the middle of
the center field. Kind of cool. Love it, love it.
That's be patting myself on the back. I shouldn't be doing.

Speaker 6 (15:22):
Let me pat.

Speaker 2 (15:27):
Jalen Carter.

Speaker 6 (15:29):
Wait you so you wanna pivot there? You want to?

Speaker 2 (15:33):
I don't want to segue in it yet. You want
to keep talking about Jordan I I want to. I
want to talk about Jalen Carter right now and his
season so.

Speaker 6 (15:42):
Far, and then come back to Danna come yeah, We'll come.

Speaker 2 (15:45):
Back and and Jansen I wanna. I want to throw
this to you.

Speaker 6 (15:49):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (15:51):
You know, his presence on the field is enough, but
so far the season, I'm looking for him to get
a little you're in not in the middle of a
TV time out where they're trying to figure out, uh,
you know, how to get somebody off the off the field.
I want him to be angry after a snap. And

(16:11):
have you have you seen that yet? I don't. I
really haven't.

Speaker 3 (16:14):
No, I'm not as much of an impact now. I
think with him, he is by far the best defensive lineman. Now,
there's no like edge rushing that is getting a lot
of attention.

Speaker 5 (16:24):
It's him.

Speaker 3 (16:24):
He's the one getting all of it and maybe that
opened things up for Jordan Davis. And while we're talking
more about him, but yeah, it's been a bit bit
of a start, and I think I think Jalen Carter
is is ready for I mean a game like this,
this is this is it. I mean, you're you're already down,
Knowlan Smith. It's a banged up offensive line you're playing against,
like Jalen Carter will pop.

Speaker 5 (16:42):
At some point.

Speaker 2 (16:44):
We did talk about this and you guys can weigh
in on it. Uh, that first game against the Cowboys,
all right, the fact that Jordan Davis had the game
that he did without Jalen Carter on the gild the
entire time, all right, that that to me, Like you say,
Jalen Carter, you know, is gonna make him better. But

(17:04):
what we saw in week one was Jordan Davis stepping up,
stepping up in a big way. Kathy. I mean, if
if this is what he can do when Jalen Carter
is out, damn so so Jalen starts picking it up.
This should be you want to see it just destructive.

Speaker 6 (17:27):
I mean the fact that Davis took that many snaps
was amazing. Right. And I will tell you I watched
the game and I was like, Ah, he's not finishing,
he's not getting after the quarterback enough. But I looked
at that replay and.

Speaker 2 (17:39):
He was all over it.

Speaker 6 (17:41):
It just didn't show itself live. And I think part
of that is because we're not expecting him to be
the player he was during that game.

Speaker 2 (17:49):
Right, Billy, anything you want to add so, but but
back to Jalen Carter, right, So nobody would argue that
he wasn't gonna be a key piece for.

Speaker 6 (18:02):
Our offense this year. I mean, he's really the new
Aaron Donald, right, and probably poison looking at being the
defensive Player of the Year, like he's gotta be. In
that conversation, I like that.

Speaker 2 (18:15):
I think I like that conversation. And here we go
and and you know, we've talked about this a hundred
times and we're gonna talk about it more when we
come back from break. Everybody, Cheerleaders, Gentlemen's Philly twenty seven

Speaker 3 (20:49):
Hey?

Speaker 2 (20:50):
Hey ge?

Speaker 3 (20:55):
Whoa?

Speaker 2 (20:56):
All right, let's make this perfectly clear. If I'm gonna
lose is my damn voice today? You sons of bitches
are doing it with me. Oh ready. They hit it
hard at the boxer last night, everybody. I think they'll

(21:16):
pick it up after another drink, so we should be
good to go. Chans and I do want you to
weigh in on the second.

Speaker 6 (21:28):
Alright.

Speaker 2 (21:29):
First of all, as most of you now know, I
am semi retired from this who just who just made
the farts out? Richard H hit the button? Uh, And
it's simply to kind of remove a little bit of
stress in my world. People don't realize, and you know,

(21:53):
I can handle it, but doing this day in and
day out, especially being on the road every weekend during
football season. That's eighteen nineteen weeks including playoffs, super Bowl, whatever,
it's it's a grind, all right. So Steph, Stephanie Morgan
is now my partner. She is slowly taking over the company.

(22:14):
And I have enjoyed a fairly stress free work season.
You know, our our season doesn't start it you know,
it ends whenever the Eagles are finished this season, and
then it picks back up in the middle of May
when the when the schedules released, and I have had
a fairly enjoyable you know, there was there were periods

(22:40):
of time this season where Steph and I talked once
a week, and as much as I love talking to her,
I love talking to her once a week, So removing
some of that stress. And then and then we play
the Rams this last Sunday and I start going Jesus,

(23:03):
I was trying to remove some of the stress from
my life. I don't need these games anymore. Captain. You
and I have talked about this a thousand times. Sure,
a great game, a close game of a last play,
a buzzer beat or whatever you want to call it.
All right, they are fun. I want to see a

(23:25):
full on board beat down every game. I want it
over after the first quarter, like Super Bowl fifty nine.

Speaker 6 (23:35):
Yes, sir, But.

Speaker 2 (23:38):
A little history on our road open for him? How
many times have you and I sat next to each
other on road trips and when Jesus Christ, here we
go again. Lots of them cowboys, I mean, keep it

(24:00):
coming in there. The Miami game eighteen, Hey, how did
how did the Beard come back in that game? Like
twenty nineteen quarterback Miami Fitzpatrick fits Magic kissed my ass.
It's magic.

Speaker 6 (24:18):
Oh look, he stole a lot of money. He did
right over his lifetime.

Speaker 4 (24:21):
And I.

Speaker 2 (24:23):
Almost as bad as Sammy Sleeves.

Speaker 6 (24:26):
Well, but fits Magic, I say, won a couple of games.

Speaker 2 (24:30):
Uh Chanson, where are you all right? Conversation that we
had on our Saturday show three or four months ago
and I'm with my buddy Mark Saint George. We're broadcasting
the Saturday Show from my house in Fort Lauderdale, and
Mark says, you know what, I'm I'm I'm so ambivalent

(24:53):
at this point. I'm I'm full. This was one of
the most amazing seasons. And let's be honest, it is
going to be, you know, aside something incredible. You know,
another super Bowl win awesome, But I don't think we're
gonna see a season like we saw last year. All Right,

(25:16):
So Mark says, yeah, I'm full. I don't even care.
I don't you know, we don't need another Super Bowl win.
And I agreed with him, and then of course I
was corrected punished. Jansen, What did.

Speaker 3 (25:33):
You say, Oh yeah, I said, this is for the
first time maybe, like as a franchise, you have a
chance to make yourself part of the upper echelon. Like
we talk about the forty nine ers and how many
Super Bowls they have, the Cowboys, Pittsburgh, all of these teams,
and now the Eagles have a chance this year to

(25:54):
go back to back, which not many teams have done.
We talk about like the Patriots dynasty and Kansas City's Dyning.

Speaker 5 (26:00):
They have done it. Eagles have a chance to be that.

Speaker 3 (26:02):
And also they have a chance now to have three
Super Bowls and you start putting them in conversations. We
have never ever thought that they would be in. This
is a chance to do that, So I'm not content.
This is an opportunity with great team that you have
to do something that I just never thought this franchise
would ever be or where they would end up.

Speaker 5 (26:23):
So yes, this is I.

Speaker 2 (26:25):
Also remember you scolding me because with a third Super
Bowl win, we are no longer the redheaded stepchild at
the NFC East. Yes, that'll be right on par with
the commodes. By the way, owner Daniel Snyder is somewhere
in house today.

Speaker 4 (26:45):
Hey, quitb I gotta tell you that you were sitting
here in this wee ballpeny club right steiin brader Field.

Speaker 2 (26:49):
This feels like a playoff game, does it not? You
feel like the every game down here because these guys
have had our number for way too long. All right,
I'm sorry, I've never forgot in that NFC championship game,
Joe Jarvisius kiss my ass right, all right? Serious, never
forgot it. You know why? Because it was four degrees

(27:09):
that day and I could have done something better than
watch that crap. They should have won, right, one of
the most disappointing games in Eagles history. Right, that was
our season.

Speaker 6 (27:23):
That was us.

Speaker 2 (27:25):
Sorry I digress.

Speaker 6 (27:28):
So so Jansen, you're you're you're on, You're onto something.
So you're a bit younger than us. When we were
going up, it was you hoped the Eagles would win.
Right now, we're in rare air where we go to
every game and we're like, that's a dub. That's a dub.
And when they don't perform and when they don't play well,

(27:49):
it is a legitimate surprise.

Speaker 2 (27:52):
Oh chance' sorry good.

Speaker 5 (27:53):
Please, Yeah, no, it is.

Speaker 3 (27:55):
And that's again, it's just territory that I mean, Eagles
has been in good territories ever since I've been watching.

Speaker 5 (28:01):
I'm thirty one, Jay nine, get over here.

Speaker 3 (28:03):
So I grew up with you know, Andy Reid winning
a bunch of games, and they were always successful. But
this is different. This is you've won two Super Bowls.
You have a chance to go back to back. It's
territory that has just never been and not just for
the Eagles, for any franchise in this city.

Speaker 5 (28:21):
It has been a long long time and.

Speaker 3 (28:24):
Probably since, like maybe the Flyers Broadstreet bullies that there
has been this long of assisted success.

Speaker 5 (28:30):
I know that was.

Speaker 2 (28:31):
Fifty years ago. It was so long ago. He's aging us.

Speaker 6 (28:36):
So here, here's the crazy thing about that old jasus.

Speaker 2 (28:38):
I didn't even know about that. Isn't it great when
you learn how to read.

Speaker 6 (28:45):
Bring back the Flyers Cup? But but no about that
expectation to win. So you know, my daughter is five, right,
and we have access to the stadium, and so we're
in there all the time. I wanted to get her
to take a picture with the trophies. Her phases are like, Dad,
why are we here again? Why are we in the
locker room now?

Speaker 2 (29:03):
Because all our stories or Uncle Quinby didn't give me
a ticket to the super Bowl this year, absolute facts, unbelievable.

Speaker 6 (29:10):
But that is the expectation. So I'm looking forward to
this season. But that is why last week was so disappointing. Right,
I don't know if we want to get there, but
we should probably segue to the differences in the half
where we have vanilla offense. Starting defenses are showing no
respect for our passing game, uh, and we're not being

(29:33):
able to get off the snod running the.

Speaker 4 (29:35):
Ball, right, that's that conservative play, right, the conservative play
first half, and then they open it up a second half.

Speaker 2 (29:41):
Hight. So every now and then we have a special occasion.
Today's special occasion has everything to do with you guys
not reading the goddamn web page. Dump dump.

Speaker 3 (29:54):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (29:56):
We say at our tailgates recom men did twenty one
and over all right or over twenty one? We want
the next generation of the Green Legion here all the time,
big man, get close to that mic. Everybody wants you
to meet in the fear nine years old from Philadelphia's

(30:20):
mom Eva right here, and this is his first Green
Legion tail game, paved up time it off, no fear.
You watched that game last week, yap? How did you
feel about Jordan Davis running that back at the end
of the game. Get closer, a little closer there, you
are pretty good. Hold on, They don't call him the

(30:42):
best Colorado in the league for nothing money right from
Major League? All right, who's your favorite player? Jalen hurts?
Jalen Hurts. Good job. And by the way, let's talk
about that for a second. This is a great topic
you bring up, all right, can't throw the ball. Yeah
my ass twenty one for thirty two two and twenty

(31:05):
six yards, three touchdowns and all of it was in
the second hand and the most.

Speaker 6 (31:10):
Part and forty on the ground and one TTTD on ground.

Speaker 2 (31:13):
Come on, man, what's more exciting for you, Fear? When
he throws the ball or when he runs it? When
he throws to the mic? When he throws there you go?
All right? Awesome? What is your favorite Jalen Hurts play.

Speaker 7 (31:29):
Tough on?

Speaker 2 (31:32):
Hold on? I've been saying that since I woke up
this morning. Would it be maybe the dagger at the
super Bowl? The bomb to the Vonte Smith? That's about it? Right?
I think we can all agree on certain things that
might be Jalen Hurts best play and Dallas sucks. Right,

(31:54):
we can agree on certain things. The Fear appreciate you
coming on. Please stay as long as you like. If
you have something you want to add, do it. But
what I want you to do right now is I
want you to get real close to that microphone and
I want you to start an eag l ees chorus.

(32:15):
Are you ready? Everybody? Give him a little support? Ready,
let's go goyewe? There he is. Hold up, you may
have a future career in radio, brother, and you may
have one today because my voice is about to crap out.

Speaker 6 (32:36):
All right, let's not move off of that. Let's talk
about our psychopath quarterback.

Speaker 2 (32:42):
This small hold on. There is nothing about an interview
with him that is anything other than weird. I just
when you think he's gonna say something more introverted, he
goes to another level. Dante has now at least nine
or ten levels of the hell right, I didn't.

Speaker 6 (33:07):
Right, Well, he's just the definition of built different. Right,
So there was video of him. I rewatched the game.
He's actually in Patullo's ass on this thing, and we
never see that. Right at the end of both games,
both the Case game and the Rams game, everyone is
going nuts and he's just sitting there like.

Speaker 2 (33:29):
That when George Davis was running that ball back. All right, Uh,
Sirian is running out of side. Everybody is writing the jail.
It hurts who was Stowice lso statue. I mean, if
he's cool, calm and collect it's insane.

Speaker 6 (33:52):
None of us could do that. Everyone is losing their minds.
And that is why he's the best quarterback for this city. Imagine.
I had a little bit of that.

Speaker 2 (34:01):
More ice in his veins than any player I have
seen it. Yeah, I don't know, maybe period. All right,
and talked about this, Chansen, you're going to weigh in
on this one, the adversity that this kid has gone through,
this young man has gone through. I saying kid, yeah,

(34:22):
because I'm really old now and you guys can go
to hell. But most, oh my god, hold on most,
I say most, almost every single player that went through
what he did in college. Tom and Kim Robinson, by
the way, in the house, love you guys. Did you
hear me? I just sent a shout out to you.

(34:46):
I'm still not staying at your Sea Isle house. You
guys creep me out at times, but excid it? Uh, Chanson,
name me another player that had Shalen Hurts's college career
and he is NFL career six years, six different offensive coordinators.

(35:08):
All right, you get bench for Tua PA. Way to go, Miami,
Stephen Ross, still proving you're one of the dumbest sons
of bitches that owns a football team. Yeah, I said it,
all right, got the butt now, No son of a
bitch is fun? All right?

Speaker 5 (35:23):
That's scay?

Speaker 2 (35:25):
Yeah, yeah, I mean the letter from Stephen Ross and
the Green legion is no longer welcome in hard Rock Stadium,
might not be on the table, but uh, he got
bench by chance. And I'm telling you everything you know,
but I want to hear it from you talk about
his path too right now, because I don't he showed
those qualities as a college player, Am I accurate?

Speaker 5 (35:49):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (35:49):
He did, but it was he was a college quarterback
that had a lot to work on.

Speaker 2 (35:54):
Like it was.

Speaker 5 (35:54):
It was good.

Speaker 3 (35:55):
He was obviously a highly recruited player, especially when you
go to Alabama. He was a successful, winning player at Alabama,
but you knew there were parts of.

Speaker 5 (36:02):
His game that he needed to work on.

Speaker 3 (36:03):
And the amazing thing is every step of the way
when he faced that adversity, he got better and better
and better and better and better. Even still to this day,
I think he's getting better, Like there is improvement I
see every single year. He's not a perfect quarterback, but
he's working his way into being a very very great
upper echelon NFL quarterback. And to see that development through

(36:25):
so many years and in so many big time situations
is pretty special to watch.

Speaker 2 (36:30):
It is.

Speaker 3 (36:30):
I was skeptical of herts coming into the draft, I
wasn't sure if he really could put it all together,
and he has proven me wrong every single year, every
single week of every single game.

Speaker 5 (36:40):
The dude really special guy.

Speaker 3 (36:43):
And it's pretty special that he's also a Philadelphia Eagle and.

Speaker 5 (36:46):
Is doing it here in this city.

Speaker 2 (36:49):
Everyone, we are live from Steinbernerfield here at the Green
Legion tailgate. Everybody it's here in this figured out that
there's a beautiful air conditioned spot in this place. It's amazing.
I mean it's not perfect, but it is minimizing my
under boom sweat. Show of hands, everybody in here right

(37:11):
now who thought it was a terrible pick in the
second round by Howie Roseman when he took Jalen Hurts,
raise your hand. You are a bunch of liars.

Speaker 7 (37:28):
You are all liars.

Speaker 2 (37:31):
Three of you raised your hand. I said it was
the dumbest thing I've ever seen. But somebody knew how
he knew. Somebody knew more than me, which, by the way,
keeps happening every day. By the way, everybody, be nice
to Stephanie Morgan because I left her at the hotel
this morning at seven thirty.

Speaker 4 (37:49):
What you left you first, bringer or you left her
like I left got the bringer. Ah wow, let me
let me talk about Stephanie real quick.

Speaker 2 (37:59):
I've listened.

Speaker 4 (38:00):
I've got twenty family members here, three generations of Eagles
fans sitting over here in the corner, including a Villanova
football alumni, Michael Devaccio, is in the house. Stephanie has
done nothing but be so organized. She is, you know,
for the Green legion. She is such an asset. And
I love what's going on here with with this room,

(38:23):
with all the green that I see.

Speaker 2 (38:24):
I mean, can you can you paint a better picture
than this? Not at all.

Speaker 6 (38:27):
Stephanie is definitely on top of it, and we appreciate it.

Speaker 5 (38:30):
And yesterday shoutout.

Speaker 2 (38:35):
Yes, sir, what do you guys still care about Villanova?
Yes we do, Yes we do. Oh my god. Ready
more people came to Villanova's defense that and lied about
hating the Jalen hurt second round.

Speaker 6 (38:51):
Bit Hey, Jason, So looking at the quarterback's growth, right
and how he's gotten better, do you think we're about
to unlock something different? Because again that video of him
getting in Batulo's ass, that's unseen. He does not do that.

Speaker 3 (39:07):
Yeah, it's stuff like that, but it's it's even more
just on the field. Stuff just getting better and better
in the pocket or at least more comfortable moving around
in the pocket. It's just like small fundamental parts of
his game that are getting better. And to see that
for an already successful quarterback, like it's it's a career
arc we've seen with some like Tom Brady did it.
Tom Brady wasn't amazing right away, he got there. Russell

(39:28):
Wilson was an amazing right away he got there. Jalen Hurts,
it wasn't amazing right away. He is getting there and
may already be there. And I think this season is
just gonna be maybe that the realization of that is like, Okay,
he is that guy. He is a special talent, and
I think he really puts it all together this year.
And I thought this the second half against the Rams
was an amazing example of that.

Speaker 5 (39:48):
He played extremely well.

Speaker 6 (39:49):
Yeah, and it just makes it difficult to be a fan.
So I sit here on the radio and we're supposed
to talk, you know, smart stuff. Listen, man, I'm not
betting against like I cannot smart. I cannot be unbiased.
At this point. It's Eagles by a million every single week,
and my quarterback leads to charge, right.

Speaker 5 (40:11):
Yeah, it has to be.

Speaker 3 (40:11):
And last week the Rams, like all the numbers, everything
indicated as a sports better for me that the Rams
were going to at least cover win that game, and
the Eagles found a way and Jalen Hurts was a
huge part of that. So yeah, it's just even even
a game like today where Tampa Bay has had the
Eagles number, they're getting a good number. I think they're
getting three and a half like everything points played Tampa.

Speaker 5 (40:32):
But at the end of the day, the Eagles just
keep winning over and over again and covering numbers.

Speaker 3 (40:37):
And beating teams even in situations where it doesn't look
like they're going to So yeah, it's hard to bet
against it.

Speaker 2 (40:44):
We're gonna continue to talk about that on our final
segment we come back from break Everybody. Nothing brings the
team together like hot crispy pizza from the new Fridgidaire
Pizza Oven, the only range that hit seven fifty degrees
for restaurant quality byes in just two minutes. Start cooking

(41:05):
fresh pizzas today and get yours at Gerhard's Appliances shop

Captain Demps Bellay who May No Fear, and John Jansen
back in studio. This is our final segment before I

(42:27):
start getting really hammered. In case anybody wants to know
if you think the Reaper is marching in today, No,
neither him or myself will make it over the fly
bridge before passing out.

Speaker 4 (42:46):
What so?

Speaker 2 (42:47):
Oh, come on, quiby, don't cut yourself short. Hold on
a second. I cut myself in half over the last
two years, so no, everybody Ejumbles. Cigar Lounge can be
found on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, at each eight Mobile. Cigar
Lounge website is ejmobilesgar loounge dot com. They will come
to you for any occasion and event. You know, the

(43:08):
premier luxury mobile, cigar and hooka lounge in the Philadelphia area.
EJ's a friend, Feel free to bust his nuts. Two
one five eight zero six three nine nine nine two
one five eight zero six three nine nine nine Jansen,
I'm gonna give this up to you, Captain Billy and

(43:31):
Fear because it's it's almost done. It's crapping out. But
what I want to know from you is how you
feel about the Eagles moves, re signing Marcus Epps and
Britain commy. You know from all of our shows over
the last few years how much I like Britain. Covey

(43:52):
guy comes in special, special teams, nothing more. Maybe your
fourth receiver or fifth if there's even one. Started his
career his first year as an Eagle average nine yards
per putt return, second year sixteen. Wait yet anytime today?

Speaker 5 (44:20):
Wait was what was that?

Speaker 2 (44:25):
I need you to walk out of that studio and
to come back in with a better attitude.

Speaker 5 (44:30):
There is that we are We're on the delay right yeah.

Speaker 2 (44:33):
Well right now, just why do you field up Marcus
EPs at Britain Covey.

Speaker 3 (44:38):
I mean it's fine. I don't know if it changed.
I mean, they're they're gonna need some maybe kick returning help.
So maybe that helps with Britain Covey because it has
not been great and Tank Bixby did not get off
to a great start with that stuff.

Speaker 5 (44:49):
Uh so maybe he can help out with that.

Speaker 3 (44:50):
But yeah, just it's already and all the NFL is
feeling this, I'm gonna need to sign some guys, and
injuries are already starting to pilo for a lot of teams.

Speaker 5 (45:00):
So that's just kind of what that feels like for
the Eagles right now.

Speaker 2 (45:04):
You know, you know what I like about the Britain
Covey signing. All Right, everybody's like, yo, Coop, Coop's gonna
be returning punts. I don't want that guy on special
teams at all.

Speaker 6 (45:15):
What idiots said.

Speaker 2 (45:16):
That, every one of you and all of you that
lied that said you knew that Jail had heard second
round pick was a good one was not.

Speaker 6 (45:23):
I mean, I don't even want Coop on the outside.

Speaker 2 (45:25):
Thank you, Like, go ahead, go ahead, that's it. I
mean Nichola is wearing what come on, you gotta go
more than that, go ahead. That's it. Marcus EPs Jansen
goes to Vegas for a couple of years. He actually
signed a pretty decent deal, right, it was coming up
his rookiey contract.

Speaker 5 (45:47):
Yeah, I think so.

Speaker 2 (45:50):
You guys are killing me. I'm asking you to talk
more so I don't have to. Anybody else want to
step up because everybody here sucks except the fear.

Speaker 3 (46:00):
Serviceable player like hasn't played a lot, didn't play a
lot last year, but just somebody that's been around the organization.
Nice to have the same thing with Britain Coby too.
That's a guy who's been around or a lot of
success in Leagles had, so it's just good to have
this guy's kind of back the way.

Speaker 2 (46:15):
Though, by the way, Britain Cubby, all right, if we
all enjoyed Sa Kwan's season last year, all right, his
second touchdown in LA was sprung because one hundred and
seventy pounds soaking wet Britain Cubby, who, by the way,

(46:36):
at Live Casino during the Green Legion Players show a
couple of years ago, as of Mormon cussed the first sentence,
saw that the shots right, seriously.

Speaker 3 (46:48):
One of the greatest moments in Green Legend Radio history.

Speaker 4 (46:51):
Hold on a second, were you able to hit the button?

Speaker 2 (46:54):
No question, no, no, no.

Speaker 5 (46:57):
I wasn't hovering the dumb button for that one. I
didn't think it right.

Speaker 2 (47:01):
It would be the one moment you think you don't
need to hover over it. Uh. Britain Covey smashed somebody
in Barkley's second TV in l A Second Long t
TD in l A last year. So fun to watch.
He literally like let both feet off the ground. Yeah, man, Superman.

(47:24):
All he needed was a cape and we were good
to go.

Speaker 6 (47:27):
So I did not have a Britain Covey segment on
my bingo card for today's show.

Speaker 2 (47:32):
And by the way, we are down to Billy John
Jansen and the fear host of the shows. You just
like Diaz, have been fired. All right, it's pretty simple.
We only have three minutes to go, which means I
can stop talking. Thank God. Back on.

Speaker 5 (47:54):
I'm gonna tell you this right now.

Speaker 2 (47:56):
I've been asking you guys to speak the whole time
and all.

Speaker 4 (47:58):
Four now and now it's like a takeover here, Like
the Philly fans just don't show up. They take over
a city, right, Like if you look at where we
were when we started the show and where we are now.

Speaker 2 (48:10):
This entire room is filled and and it's a testament conditioning.
I'm gonna kick about hand.

Speaker 4 (48:18):
It's also it's also a testament to the Green Legion,
I think the Green Legion, which.

Speaker 2 (48:22):
We don't talk about it enough.

Speaker 4 (48:23):
You know, you guys do an amazing job the first
time on the show. But you know, like I said before,
three generations of family here all going through.

Speaker 2 (48:31):
The Green Legion for this trip.

Speaker 4 (48:32):
This is this is an amazing and it's testing to you.

Speaker 2 (48:35):
And I want to thank you. Somebody to make fun
of Quimby for putting this all together.

Speaker 4 (48:39):
I want to tell you, Sarah Sen, I don't know
if anyone ever thanks you on the radio show. And
you're getting ready to do whatever you're doing and stepping
back a little bit. But but what you have done
for Philadelphia fans and and and across across the city alone,
I just think that that is a testament to what
you've done for this organization and at Philly fans.

Speaker 2 (48:58):
So thank you, quitting thank you. I don't want to cry.

Speaker 6 (49:03):
Knock it off.

Speaker 2 (49:04):
Yeah wow, thank you. All right, let's do some shots
if you guys want to hear another backdrop. Uh, Billy
did cater a few of our tailgates, but fiteen plus
years I did a tailgate party here, you did one
in Atlanta. You did one here, you get one.

Speaker 4 (49:23):
Man the Atlanta Wait, the Atlanta one was and I'm
talking this is a long time ago.

Speaker 2 (49:29):
But yeah, I don't you know what that was. I
think that was No, it wasn't It was two thousand ten.
The Atlanta one was bad. It was.

Speaker 4 (49:35):
Yeah, But you know, here we are in an air
conditioning Steinbranner Field with green leading logo in center field.
How far have you have gone? And and I just
want to say, it's it's amazing. It's an amazing trip
that you've done. Yeh, thank you, and thank you to
Billy's family being here. Thank you guys, you guys. You
know Billy has been family to me.

Speaker 2 (49:56):
For a long time. Captain is my family. Captain's kind
enough to make his daughter my niece. Ull hold on
a second, right, It looks a little funny walking around,
but you know there is so much love around here.
Let's do this because it's time actually to get to

(50:18):
some music, because I know you guys want to stop
listening to me. Let's get some projections, some predictions, and
the fear. I want to go to you first. I
want your prediction for today's game, a score, and who wins.
Get up in it. There you go. I think that

(50:39):
Eagles are going forty to twenty one.

Speaker 6 (50:47):
Day Wow, a forty burden.

Speaker 2 (50:52):
Hi, hold on, if you're enough, said brother, perfect, excellent, Billy.

Speaker 4 (51:01):
I'm not gonna put a number on it, but I'm
gonna tell you right now, Eagles win for thirteen plus thirteen.
That's my thing.

Speaker 2 (51:11):
Nice. Yes, he's nuts cat well though, I fear just
said thank you, So look a time.

Speaker 6 (51:18):
I'm thank you.

Speaker 2 (51:19):
I'm sorry. I'm stuck on forty to twenty two.

Speaker 6 (51:23):
I'm throwing out everything. I'm throwing out the records here,
I'm throwing out last year without a j without landing
all the players we missed last year. So I'm going
thirty one to ten. We finally get the running game
going up, and we're gonna start out with the past,
and then Sauan's gonna open it up and we're just
gonna control.

Speaker 2 (51:42):
To the rest of the Ready, is this Saquon's first good,
good game, He's gonna break out. I like that chance.

Speaker 3 (51:50):
Prediction I'm gonna go a little bit more low scoring,
but I'm gonna go twenty three seventeen Birds. I think
the the offensive line problems Tampa Bay certainly show up
in this game.

Speaker 5 (52:02):
And I think the Eagles defense overall plays a lot
and they have.

Speaker 2 (52:07):
All right, let's go qub. I will never predict an
Eagles game because if I predict a win, I promise
you they lose. All right, they'll do it. So I
will predict one win, which is this tailgate. Yeah, and
all of our friends at Stein Brennerfield, Jonathan Howard, Stepnio
driscoll I mean, come on, it's an amazing ready. We

(52:32):
always try to one up ourselves. We're always trying to
do something better or something different, something with sight lines
that you just love. How many times in your life
would you have thought you're going to a road game
and you're tailgating at a Yankees Grapefruit League stadium? Amazing?
This is cool, right, and it's it's beyond cool. And

(52:53):
I also predict that I'm gonna get too hot and
my ass is leaving by halftime. Anyway, the fear would
you do me a favorite? Sir? Everybody up, everybody in
this room up. Let's go the Fear. I need an
Eagles chan you to start, and I need this room

(53:15):
to give him some support to start.

Speaker 7 (53:18):
Come on, Amy hem hey again he crushes.

Speaker 2 (53:29):
It on the last letter. Creaen Legion Radio broadcast up
the Fox Sports pregame show here on one o two
point five at them Philadelphia, brought to you my friends
at Prodigy Health, r X Chanson and Studio Captain William
dam spelling the Fear. My name's Quimby. I appreciate you

(53:51):
guys putting up with us. Everybody go birds, baby,
