Speaker 3 (02:49):
I'm starting off today.

Speaker 2 (02:50):
Look, this is probably the most compact and dense run
sheet we've ever put together for a Fox Sports pregames.

Speaker 3 (03:00):
So we're racing through a lot today.

Speaker 2 (03:02):
Might sound like we're hurrying, but there's a lot of
information before we get to the Eagles, before we get
to the playoff picture, before we get to offense defense,
before we get to JJ Watts, Who's my hero?

Speaker 3 (03:15):
Now? Can any is.

Speaker 2 (03:17):
Anybody else laughing at the fact that the Falcons are
gonna cut Kirk Cousins there?

Speaker 3 (03:22):
It is.

Speaker 2 (03:25):
All right, that's a good laugh. Serious one hundred and
eighty billion dollar deal signed in March, and he is
scheduled for cut before the March first or ten million
dollars roster bonus.

Speaker 3 (03:38):
Chanson. Is Kirk Cousins the new Sammy Sleeves?

Speaker 4 (03:42):
Yeah, the Samuel Season one is actually a pretty good comparison,
I'd say, but it is definitely very similar in that
the team thought they were going to get, you know,
maybe an upgraded quarterback stability at quarterback and then ended
up getting somebody that wasn't playable, and Kirk Cousins right
now is completely unplayable.

Speaker 2 (03:58):
As a quarterback.

Speaker 3 (04:01):
He's a mess.

Speaker 2 (04:02):
He's an absolute crap show.

Speaker 3 (04:04):
His agent is awesome.

Speaker 2 (04:08):
Serious, We'll stay with Sammy Sleeves, two guys that made million,
hundreds hundreds of millions, right.

Speaker 3 (04:14):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (04:15):
But it also proves and reinforces what I continue to say,
and that is that Arthur Blank may be the dumbest
son of a bitch in the in the NFL.

Speaker 3 (04:23):
Yeah, I said it.

Speaker 2 (04:26):
The only guy who's major sponsor, biggest sponsor is closed
on Sundays Chick fil All.

Speaker 3 (04:33):
So way to go, Arthur.

Speaker 2 (04:34):
I mean, he could be a genius, but all that
sponsorship money from Chick fil A just went into Kirk
cousins pocket.

Speaker 3 (04:41):
So Arthur, nice work as usual.

Speaker 2 (04:45):
And he can all thank the haslms in Cleveland for
starting that whole trend. By the way, are you filming
that so you can send it to Arthur? Tell him
I said hello, and he and he's a richard?

Speaker 3 (04:57):
All right? Where are we next? Jay J.

Speaker 2 (05:00):
Watt saying the Eagles defense is not getting enough credit. Perfect, perfect,
Let everybody think they got us, all right? Here are
the stats, Coach Carter, here are the stats for your ass.
Eagles are ranked number one in total defense. Let me
say this again. Eagles are ranked number one in total defense.

(05:22):
Have given up a total of two hundred and seventy
five point six yards per game, number one, and the
margin above every other team is substantial. The next best
team in total defense is over twenty yards more giving
up per game and five touchdowns. Ah Chanson, talk talk

(05:46):
about what you think is the biggest highlighter, the biggest
reason this defense is geling. Right now, I have two names,
but you could you can really pick anybody right now.

Speaker 4 (05:57):
Yeah, anyway, I think for me would end up being
the second. It ended up being Quenon Mitchell and Cooper Degene.

Speaker 3 (06:02):
Uh.

Speaker 4 (06:03):
To get two rookies like that impactful in your secondary,
like right away. Uh, that is game changing. Not only
game changing, that's like season changing. That is franchise changing.
They have two cornerstone pieces in the secondary and that's
pretty remarkable to have. H So, Yeah, I think it's
the rookies. I mean, that's that's wild, the amount of
production they've had in their first Yeah.

Speaker 5 (06:24):
And especially after the bye week and Cooper Degene came in.

Speaker 3 (06:28):
I mean it totally. It was a game changer.

Speaker 2 (06:31):
I mean, I like Maddox, but no Maddock kid guy,
Thank you bro, see you later. By uh actually, Mark,
I want you to weigh in on Jalen Carter and
what a beast this guy is.

Speaker 5 (06:42):
Yeah, he's definitely playing more snaps this year than he
did last year. I mean, he's up his game, he's
he's totally more Jalen Carter, not Jordan Davis, no Jayleen Carter. Yeah,
he's got He's got more snaps this this season than
I thought.

Speaker 2 (06:57):
He was played almost every down last year. I know
not he answering that accurate.

Speaker 4 (07:02):
I don't know if he's played every down this year,
but there have been a handful of games.

Speaker 2 (07:05):
I think he's played every snap a handful of games.

Speaker 5 (07:07):
I think he's played up Yeah, but last year he
definitely didn't play every snap.

Speaker 2 (07:11):
This guy is out of control. Literally cannot be stopped,
and it can't be stopped by not just one person,
but two double team. You double team him all day
long and that opens up sweat. And by the way,
the player that everybody gave up on that I didn't
Nolan Smith Junior.

Speaker 3 (07:28):
It is fun yeah. The Georgia Bulldogs stepping up. Man, Yeah,
you know, and.

Speaker 2 (07:33):
Everybody was ready to give up on Na Kobe Nikita,
Nikobe's moms, he's listening out there. We love you, Tony Brown,
Jalen's mom, We love you. Passing defense rank number one,
it's been a while. It's been a while for that.

Speaker 3 (07:49):
There's a litany here.

Speaker 2 (07:50):
One hundred and seventy three point four yards passing per game,
that is all this Eagles defense is giving up. Only
fifteen touchdowed. Quinnyon Mitchell still has played every defensive snap
and not a single touchdown scored against passes that he
has been defending.

Speaker 3 (08:10):
Amazing.

Speaker 2 (08:11):
That is out of control, out of control. He's definitely
defensive Rookie of the Year.

Speaker 3 (08:16):
Man. You want to hear something funny.

Speaker 2 (08:17):
The only team that's given up less touchdowns in the
in their passing defense j e Ts Jets, Jets Jets.
That as useful as boobs on fish. But uh, Quinnon Mitchell,
here you go, and we're gonna talk about this a
little bit more because if you in my opinion, it's

(08:39):
it's not one person, it's not one group. It's not
the secondary, it's not the linebackers. It's not the D line,
it's not the old line, it's not Saquon Barkley. It's
Howie finally figuring out how to draft because for years,
when we're looking for these cornerstone pieces and we're not
getting them, then we have to go to the open

(09:01):
market and buy him. You can't put a championship team
together unless you have a compliment of both rookies and
those four and five year rookie contracts that allow you
to go spend thirty nine million dollars on Saquon Barkley
and get that final piece of the puzzle. But like

(09:21):
you said, or Jansen said earlier, weigh in on.

Speaker 5 (09:25):
On que Mark. I this guy, I mean stud stud Yeah,
I mean I was so happy when he fell to us.
I mean that was one of the best picks. You know,
how he's made in a long time, and he's proven
his worth. You know, all through training camp, everybody knew
this guy was special.

Speaker 2 (09:42):
You see him getting that in that scuffle. Yeah, dude,
he threw a punch. Yeah, he came right to the
defense late. That was awesome. That was awesome.

Speaker 5 (09:49):
That's the kind of guy you want in your locker
room and once again.

Speaker 2 (09:53):
If you don't hear quinnyon Mitchell's name during the game,
perfect right, It's called the Bobby Taylor syndrome. You never
heard Bobby Taylor's name because nobody would throw towards him.
That is the way to do it. Eagles number one
in scoring defense. Only twenty six touchdowns scored against this
Philadelphia Eagles defense all season, once.

Speaker 3 (10:16):
Again, ranked number one in the NFL.

Speaker 2 (10:20):
By the way, I want to send a shout out
to our friends Tim, Joe, John, everybody working behind the
bar here at the Parent Lounge. Thanks for allowing me
to be a blowhard once again when I'm lazy and
I don't feel like going on a road trip. So
can I send a shout out to the Miami Dolphins
for letting Vengio?

Speaker 3 (10:39):
Yeah, thank you, thank you very much.

Speaker 2 (10:41):
Well. Arthur Blank and Stephen Ross are the boardwalk water
Pistol horse Races.

Speaker 3 (10:46):
Worst owner in the NFL. H Yeah, other notables.

Speaker 2 (10:50):
I'm sorry, scoring defense only seventeen points, six points per game.
I'm not going dang green, but there's no so I
want you to weigh on this. Do you see any
deficiencies in any position on the defense, because even during
Gang Green, we still had toast. You had Eric Allen

(11:10):
on one side, but you had Isazel Jenkins on the other,
and that's where quarterback was throwing. I don't see any
weaknesses on this defense at all.

Speaker 1 (11:20):
No.

Speaker 4 (11:21):
I think maybe the only one I see is like
the fourth cornerback. If they really have to go any deeper,
that's when Avonte Maddox has to get on the field,
and that's where you have issues. But like that's it.
The secondary, including safety, has been really good. Defensive line,
I think the defensive ends have been awesome. Linebackers have
been great. Like every level is playing at a very
high level. I mean, I don't see much.

Speaker 2 (11:42):
I don't see why did when Reed Blanket Ship went
out a couple of weeks ago with a concussion, why
was Sidney Brown not in the game. I think he's
been hurt too.

Speaker 3 (11:53):
Is he still hurt?

Speaker 4 (11:55):
He's been nagging injuries like on and off. I don't
think like an extended injury, but it's just a few
things there. Then he got a concussion last week, Yes, Rudy, right, Yeah.

Speaker 3 (12:03):
Are we gonna have a continued issue with him?

Speaker 2 (12:05):
Because you know there's big hopes for him and in
all defense, when you're talking about that fourth quarterback situation.
I know he's not, but i'd certainly rather see Sidney
in there in some sort of mix if it's necessary.
As opposed to Avante. Avante is just yeah, he's down
on the depth chart. He's dead. Yeah, yeah, he just

(12:25):
can't play. He can't play anymore.

Speaker 4 (12:27):
Every time he's on the field, there's something he's getting
burned or they're targeting him. He is, he's a it's
a problem when he's on the field.

Speaker 2 (12:34):
Uh. Second in third down defense at thirty four point
one percent other notables seventh and rushing defense.

Speaker 3 (12:42):
Fourth in red zone defense at forty eight.

Speaker 2 (12:45):
Those two things right there.

Speaker 4 (12:47):
So third down defense, red zone defense, those are probably
the two margins that win you a game offensively defensively,
those two situations and the fact that they are that
good in those is telling for everything. That's where they're
winning football game, and that's where they're winning defense.

Speaker 3 (13:01):
How do you how do you like me dig it
in this week?

Speaker 2 (13:03):
Jansen? I love it?

Speaker 3 (13:04):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (13:05):
Those numbers are eye opening. Those are really eye opening numbers.

Speaker 5 (13:08):
Yeah, because look at last week's game when we had
the turnover, when Dejon dropped the punt, and Eagles defense
held them right there, didn't get seven.

Speaker 3 (13:18):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (13:18):
Yes, that's a huge, that's a huge.

Speaker 4 (13:20):
That was huge.

Speaker 3 (13:21):
Yeah. And that started with the Green Bay game.

Speaker 5 (13:23):
If you guys remember, I mean we had some early
turnovers in our in our red zone and the defense held.
I was I was really shocked. And it all started
from then. You know, it's progressing. This defense is on fire.

Speaker 3 (13:35):
Man. We are.

Speaker 2 (13:39):
Oh cool, we got we got some stuff still. Yeah,
here we go. Uh okay, defense. We just talked about.
What about the offense? You ask, Eagles are six in
total offense with an average of three hundred and seventy
three point two yards per game and forty four offensive touchdowns.
Number one in rushing with one hundred and eighty six
point two average yards per game at twenty six touchdowns.

Speaker 3 (14:03):
Only Buffalo has more.

Speaker 2 (14:05):
Number one in time of possession with an average of
thirty two point fifteen all season six, and total offense
with an average three seventy three. I said that already
rest of the categories like red zone, third down, and scoring,
the Eagles are in the top ten or knocking on
the door. I think we'd all rather see more points

(14:25):
from this offense, especially the first quarter, but controlling the
clock in the game in general are more important chance
and win. That is just efficiency.

Speaker 4 (14:35):
Like everything I see, there is efficiency with running the ball,
and especially I think in twenty twenty two, the great
thing about the Eagles offense was they could chew out
the clock at the end of games. They could close games.
Last year they didn't have that capability. Now this year
they do again. They're number one rushing, they end up
scoring in the rushing game as well. But also like
the game against the Steelers, they keep the ball a lot.

(14:55):
If you can limit another team's possessions, like, yeah, that's
gonna be difficult for them to come back in a game.
It's gonna be difficult if they're down two scores. So
I think it's a winning formula all the way around.
Complimentary football by both offense and defense.

Speaker 3 (15:08):
And what does that mean?

Speaker 2 (15:09):
Jansen in the Fox Sports The Gambler World covering bety
under baby yet the under two Yeah ready, hysterical stat
twenty eighth in the league in passing offense with one
hundred and eighty seven yards per game and only eighteen touchdowns.

(15:29):
I wrote this because I wanted to make sure I
said it properly. Can you imagine if this running back
experiment works for the Eagles, who, in complete opposite of
Jeffrey Lourie's foundational passing desire win a Super Bowl.

Speaker 3 (15:45):
Being one of the lowest in the league in.

Speaker 2 (15:48):
Passing offense, Lorie wanted to throw has always been a fact.

Speaker 3 (15:53):
We know this. Maybe he's finally letting how he go.
I don't know. Imagine another scenario.

Speaker 2 (15:57):
If this works and the team now focuses on all aspects,
including linebacker and how he's let loose. Is he quickly
becoming one of the best gms in football?

Speaker 3 (16:06):
I think so. I don't know, Mark, what do you say.
I don't think he's be kind. I think he is
the best GM football.

Speaker 5 (16:12):
I mean, I gotta give it to it. There's no
question about that. I mean he you know, you know
when he came back after Chip left, I mean he
really honed down. I mean he took his he took
his beating when Chip was here. And I think he's
he's changed the game. You know, Chanson, how do you
feel about how we moving forward?

Speaker 4 (16:33):
I mean, how he's been great, But I do like
how he does this kind of thing sometimes where he
goes a bit against the grain. So he sees a trend,
but he goes, I'm going to go to the opposite
of that trend sometimes, which is good because I felt
like he was trying to be a model of what
a modern NFL offense is. But I think this year
they went, Okay, let's get the running back. You know
the running back market. We don't have to pay too

(16:53):
much for a guy like Saquon Hey, he's available. Let's
pay him not that much money and be a little
bit different and run the ball a little bit more.
And guess what, Defenses aren't built to stop the run
as much anymore because they're smaller. They have smaller linebacker,
smaller defensive linemen. It's all about speed, all about the
passing game. So here come the Eagles with this giant,
beefy offensive line that's really good at blocking, and this
running back more athletically, right, second largest in the league,

(17:15):
and they're more and the running back is more athletic
than any other player in the field.

Speaker 2 (17:19):
That's different, and good luck.

Speaker 3 (17:20):
Stop Janson that. I don't know if you know this stat.

Speaker 2 (17:23):
Ninety four point four PFF grade for Jordan Mylatta's second highest.

Speaker 5 (17:28):
All amazing right, a guy never played football in his life, right, amazing.

Speaker 4 (17:33):
That That's also where and changing is when you can
draft a player like that and continue to they have
with the offensive line, either bring in a free agent
that's that's not maybe going to get that much money
like Beckton Jordan Mayolotta, who you're drafting late, and be
able to use those projects with Jeff Staltlin and make
like the greatest offensive lineman.

Speaker 2 (17:51):
That's an incredible thing to have, right. I want to
get to this real quick. This is one of the
things I wanted to do before we go to break
our first one coming back. Then we're gonna go into
the changing of the guard, changing of the guard, the
NFL power rankings, But we're talking earlier about how a team,
a championship team is built and it's draft picks, its

(18:12):
proper draft picks. This is great From twenty twenty two.
Jordan Davis, Cam Jurgens, Nakobe Dean, Grant, Calcatara, Reblanken, Ship Britton, Covey,
Josh Joby gone now because he was in a crowded secondary,
there was no there was no space for him. But
he's playing well in Seattle. Jalen Carter Nolan Smith, Tyler Stein,

(18:33):
Sidney Brown, Kelly Ringo, Tara McKee, Moro, Ojomo, Quinnyon Mitchell,
Cooper de Jean, Jylex Hunt, will Shipley, Andiah Smith, Junior Trotter,
Trevor Keegan, and Johnny Wilson all making contributions. The only
one that hasn't really panned out in the last three
drafts is Kyron Johnson.

Speaker 3 (18:52):
I think it was what Kentucky, some.

Speaker 2 (18:54):
Weird linebacker, a linebacker for some not so pet football
And once again, my friends of a feather, this is
why this team is having success. There are seven players,
This is a great stat Seven players from these last
three drafts that are starting for the Eagles that were
not number one or first round draft picks. Add Davis

(19:18):
Carter and Quinnyon Mitchell and you have one less than
half of your total starting lineup on offense and defense
covered by rookie salaries. Rookie salary contracts that are less
than a million a year. It's amazing, less than a
million a year. This is why you can go out
and sign Barkley. This is why you can resign Davonte

(19:41):
and extend Dickerson and pay your franchise quarterback two hundred
and sixty million bucks. No positions of weakness right now.
The only position of weakness is going to be in
your knees, everybody, Because Friday, February seven, it's back wing

Speaker 2 (20:38):
Legion Radio is broadcasting the Fox Sports pregame show live

once again brought to you by Cheerleaders Gentlemen's Club.

Speaker 3 (20:48):
We'll be back right after this.

Speaker 1 (20:50):
If you can wager on it, we're talking about it.
It's the Gambler.

Speaker 2 (21:05):
All right, everybody, welcome back to the Green Leads. Your
radio is broadcast of the Fox Sports pregame show live

We're sponsored by Cheerleaders Gentlemen's Club. And I would love
if Ray got me another shot at Jamison Orange got

(21:25):
a girl lover. He's a he's a tool. He didn't
even know it. He thought it was stateside seaside. So
you know we're gonna have to have that talk later
on Love you, uh you guys, once again brought to
you by Cheerleaders Gentlemen's Club. All right, I uh at
at times I don't wanna give my my personal take

(21:50):
on on on things, so I you're gonna hear right
now there's a change of the guard took place after
last weekend's win against the Steelers. I'm sure everybody that's
a fan knows this already. NFL Power rankings now have
your Philadelphia Eagles as the number one team in the NFL. However,

(22:14):
I want you to hear what Eric Aedholm of NFL
dot Com wrote about the top six and this is
word for word, verbatim, everybody. Number six green Bay Packers.
The offense slowed down in the second half of Sunday's
win at Seattle, but the one two punch of Josh
Jacobs and Jordan Love was too much for the Seahawks

(22:35):
to handle early on. Jacobs has been a terrific fit
for the Packers after many questioned them going big at
the position in free agency. He has a physical tone
of the offense, the compliments the array of other playmakers.

Speaker 3 (22:47):
The aerial game was clean and fluid.

Speaker 2 (22:49):
Producing four plays of twenty one plus yards to four
different pass catchers.

Speaker 3 (22:55):
You cannot.

Speaker 2 (22:58):
You know, green Bay was was not an easy to
take asking week one, and they're not going to be
moving forward and you know, depending on what's your beta.
Here in this segment is how all of the next
three weeks is going to play out, or possible scenarios
for how this is gonna play out.

Speaker 3 (23:16):
Number five Minnesota Vikings.

Speaker 2 (23:18):
The defense to tone of the first half with two
turnovers on downs in a strip sack by Jonathan Grenard
that's in a tremor through US Bank Stadium, and the
offense scored after all three stops, giving Minnesota the thirteen
to ten halftime lead. Chicago kept hanging around and spied
of mistakes. Darnold threw a second quarter pick, found himself
in a third quarter funk, but then he ripped the

(23:40):
beautiful pass to Justin Jefferson set up the Aaron Jones
touchdown that them we're gonna get into this, all right,
because at this point, all right.

Speaker 3 (23:56):
Twelve and two, I.

Speaker 2 (23:58):
Just don't I don't see Minnesota has Seattle today, which,
by the way, if you're an Eagles fan, you are
a Seahawks fan today, right, because I believe the only
way that we have the number one seed is if
Minnesota loses to Seattle today. That's it. That's the only

(24:22):
only scenario that plays out in our favor. Now.

Speaker 3 (24:26):
It's not to say that we couldn't have Detroit win out.

Speaker 2 (24:29):
Because their schedule is kind of weak except for Minnesota.
But right now, I don't care what Dan Campbell is
gonna do. I don't care about how loud he's gonna
be and say we're fine, You're not fine here ready,
Let's let's.

Speaker 3 (24:46):
Go to the Detroit Lions.

Speaker 2 (24:48):
The only the only thing that Detroit couldn't afford was
another round of defensive injuries, and then the Lions came
out of their loss to Buffalo with significant ones suffered
by defensive tackle Alan McNeil, cornerback Carlton Davis, right, Alan
McNeil torn acl cornerback Carlton Davis fractured jaw, you're not

(25:08):
coming back right and Khalil Dorsey fractured leg. You just
lost your secondary pretty much. I mean, you still have
your top safety in the league, but you know he's
not gonna be able to cover everybody. The attrition hit
a breaking point against the Nuclear Bills offense, which is
why you saw Dan Campbell declare an on side kick
down ten points with twelve minutes left. That's the kind

(25:31):
of crap that Dan Jansen.

Speaker 1 (25:34):
Do you.

Speaker 2 (25:36):
How do you feel about Dan Campbell? I you know,
you gotta like the guy, but is he is he
too aggressive? Is he a Nick Sirianni?

Speaker 4 (25:45):
No, so Nick Sirianni would thinks too aggressive? I think
Sirianni for me. The only thing I don't like is
he's very hesitanting times to be aggressive, and it just
doesn't seem like there is any rhyme or reason. It's
just he goes by gut. I do kind of like that.
Dan Campbell has an ideaity and he's like, I'm aggressive.
Our offense is the best part of our team. I
want to give my offense as many possessions as possible.

(26:06):
And so they kind of needed that extra possession. They
needed something to happen quickly at that time. So I mean, yes,
it can get reckless, and it got reckless last year,
but also that's gonna win them a lot of games,
and teams sometimes are going to have to keep up
with that, and it's really hard to when it.

Speaker 2 (26:20):
Works, it's it's a in their situation now, all right
with you know, their best defensive end.

Speaker 3 (26:31):
They're not holding anybody like they're not well, I.

Speaker 2 (26:34):
Just you know, we're talking about we're about to talk
about scenarios with the playoff picture here, and I well,
if Minnesota doesn't lose to Seattle today, then we are
Detroit fans. And I say that because I believe they

(26:54):
could be beaten by a better team. Their schedule, you know,
it's it's garbage. I'm gonna get into that in just
a second here. But Chicago, what is it? Chicago?

Speaker 3 (27:07):
The forty nine ers next week?

Speaker 2 (27:09):
Who are They're done? Dead in the water? You know,
you have to hope that there's some pride left over there.
And then they played with Minnesota, and if this is
just a really strange situation here here, we'll just we'll
keep going in because we're not gonna get to everything
on this run sheet.

Speaker 3 (27:27):
Here.

Speaker 2 (27:28):
Here's the scenario that plays out in a way that
just doesn't favor us for that number one seed.

Speaker 3 (27:35):
If Atlanta loses.

Speaker 2 (27:36):
Today and either Seattle or LA lose, Green Bay clinches
a playoff spot, they are the sixth seed right now,
all right, And with two other teams in their division
having two more wins than they do, two or three
more wins than three more wins than they do. I

(27:58):
think they're nine and five, right, all right, three more wins.
They they can't move. They can't move. They might, you know,
get to they can't move. The sixth seed is the
number one wild card seed. So and here's the other part.
If none of those scenarios play out, all right, and

(28:21):
they beat New Orleans tomorrow night they clinch New Orleans
is coming to Green Bay tomorrow, It's gonna be twenty
two degrees in game time. It's not a favorable situation
for a Dome team, especially one that's playing in a backup,
backup quarterback at a backup backup quarterback exactly.

Speaker 3 (28:39):
So it's it's not a it's not a situation where.

Speaker 2 (28:45):
Any of this plays out well because Minnesota plays green
Bay next week and green oops, and more than likely
green Bay will have nothing to play.

Speaker 3 (28:56):
For, right, they can rest their guys. They can Chanson does.

Speaker 2 (29:02):
If green Bay clinches this weekend, no reason, right, I'm
resting players next week. You're resting players next week. Green
Bay cannot move their position if they if they if
they win, I think if they win, there's I mean,

(29:22):
Washington could leap frog them.

Speaker 4 (29:24):
But so is this meaning that you would when you
would not want to go after the one seed, like
you would concede the one seed.

Speaker 2 (29:32):
Green Bay can't get the one seed. No, no, no, no,
no no, I'm talking to If green Bay clinches, then
green Bay is resting players next week.

Speaker 3 (29:43):
There's no reason they can't move their seed.

Speaker 2 (29:47):
Right, Okay, regardless of wins or losses for the rest
of the season.

Speaker 3 (29:49):
If they win tomorrow night, they cannot move. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (29:53):
I don't know if that's a long time to rest players,
like two weeks.

Speaker 3 (29:57):
Well, but you're not.

Speaker 2 (29:58):
But you're not You're not going to injury and your
next game is against the Minnesota Vikings, which you know, miracle.
We want Carolina to win tomorrow night or New Orleans
to win tomorrow, which is that's gonna be in the
rest of these scenarios to not Yeah, so here, God,

(30:23):
Michael's here.

Speaker 3 (30:24):
What a pain in the ass.

Speaker 2 (30:25):
He does not let me let up for the elbow
any weekend.

Speaker 3 (30:30):
Uh so well, let me we backtrack here just a
hot second filled up.

Speaker 2 (30:36):
Eagles passed its way to victory over Pittsburgh once again.
All of this is from our friend Eric Edholm from
NFL dot Com. Eagles passed its way to victory over
Pittsburgh and everything was suddenly okay again in Eagle Land.
Last week's drama did admittedly feel spicy at first, but
the heat wore off pretty fast.

Speaker 3 (30:57):
Jalen Hurts and A. J. Brown did their best in
doubts Any narratives.

Speaker 2 (31:00):
Got to love what aj said, by the way, mark, Yeah,
that dance told everybody to shut the hell up exactly.

Speaker 3 (31:07):
Yeah, And.

Speaker 2 (31:10):
You know what waiting on that real quick because we
do have a couple of extra minutes here. Why would
Brandon Graham, that's the consummate professional, the guy that we love.
Why why would you stir that pot?

Speaker 4 (31:26):
Or or?

Speaker 3 (31:27):
And this is what Leonardo thought.

Speaker 2 (31:30):
All right, Leonardo goes, dude, they're just doing it so
they can mess with everybody.

Speaker 3 (31:37):
I agree with you. Do you think that's what it is?

Speaker 5 (31:39):
I think so, I mean, you know, I mean, even
going back to the game after Caroline and AJ was talking,
I mean, you know, obviously he's pretty upset, but you know,
I think he was just frustrating. But I think the
media took it and made it more than what it was.
And then I don't know why Brandon Graham got there
and stirred the pot like you said, I mean, that
made no sense to me, and you know, it made

(32:02):
a story out of nothing.

Speaker 2 (32:03):
Jansen, what do you? How do you I haven't listened
to your take on this. I know you've discussed it,
but Beg posted that what was the purpose? I don't
know what was there a purpose? Was he just kind of.

Speaker 4 (32:18):
Maybe just from from his vantage point what he seeing,
So maybe he was just kind of going off of
what he sees. I have no idea, but I don't
know if it was all that big of a deal,
and it has ever been that big of a deal.

Speaker 2 (32:31):
Really, it just fueled the flames of.

Speaker 4 (32:33):
Everybody thinking the passing offense is bad and that there
might be a rift between Hertz and Brown because the
passing offense isn't good enough and aj Brown is getting
upset Like I just I think the passing offense was
having problems the last two weeks. I'm sure everybody was frustrated,
including DeVante Smith by the way, who also voiced frustration.
Jalen voiced frustration. And it got better, so that's a

(32:55):
good thing. I don't know if it was calculated by Beg.
I think it was just something that you know, from
his vantage point, that maybe something that he was seeing,
but I don't know if it was necessarily what was
actually happening.

Speaker 3 (33:06):
And I heard he apologized to the team, right, you
know he did did Yeah?

Speaker 5 (33:12):
In turn of yeah, he apologized to the team when
they had their in house meetings. So I mean he
cleared the air there, but I don't know if he
cleared the era with anybody else.

Speaker 2 (33:22):
But so here we go on continued playoff scenarios. All Right,
Detroit plays Chicago in Chicago today. That's a that that
doesn't hurt, all right, Chicago hasn't been playing bad. They've
just been playing and once again, you know you yeah,
you acts your your coach over that thing. Hey, Chicago,

(33:45):
you owe us one, you owe us one? How about today?
I get it you're still pissed off about double doink.

Speaker 3 (33:52):
Don't care? All right?

Speaker 5 (33:54):
Listen, they played Detroit good on on on Thanksgiving.

Speaker 2 (33:58):
You know they almost well and they kicked that field goal.
I got right, you know, I cover the over bastard.
But h Janson, does Chicago have any chance of beating Detroit?
I mean, you're talking about a Dome team coming to Chicago.
I don't know, Uh, anybody know what game time temperature is?

Speaker 3 (34:17):
Divisional game? Probably I could find that out.

Speaker 2 (34:20):
I imagine cold Jansen the Jansen does the Chicago stand
as shot?

Speaker 3 (34:25):
I mean.

Speaker 2 (34:28):
Game?

Speaker 4 (34:28):
And I think Marcus rightly. Yeah, Chicago did play well
last time. They should have won that game if it
wasn't for coaching and mental errors from Caleb Williams with
clock management. But this Chicago team, even just those you
know a few weeks ago back to Thanksgiving, is much worse.

Speaker 2 (34:42):
Uh.

Speaker 4 (34:43):
They have been worse since they fired their coach. Like
it's pretty much uh a team that I think is
given up. They don't pass the ball well, they're not
blocking very well, actually blocking very porous, and it's really
affecting Caleb Williams mentally. Uh. And their defense thinks I
they're nothing good about them. So as much as Detroit,
yes they have injuries on the defense, Chicago might.

Speaker 2 (35:05):
Be able to put up some points.

Speaker 4 (35:06):
I just don't know how Chicago's gonna stop a Detroit
Lions offense that has been nearly unstoppable.

Speaker 2 (35:11):
Do we do we have any any any Does it
hold any water that it's twenty nine degrees at game
time and Detroit's a dome team. No, anything can happen,
I mean, anything can happen.

Speaker 3 (35:23):
Banks. That's a divisional game Detroit, all.

Speaker 2 (35:26):
Right, So let's assume. Let's assume this. Let's assume you
guys are right, and I want to agree with you,
but I'm just I'm hopeful, and and from a business standpoint,
I would want the number two seed because possibility of
the number one seed getting knocked off and us having
a third home game, right, that's that's that's a that's

(35:46):
a bang in my in my pocket right in a
big way.

Speaker 3 (35:49):
But I don't want that.

Speaker 2 (35:50):
I want two games to the Super Bowl going through Philadelphia,
correct period. So assuming that Chicago does not have a
shot against Detroit today, next up forty nine Ers, and
you couldn't ask for a more polar opposite performance by
the forty nine ers from Week fourteen and fifteen. The

(36:10):
Niners blast the Bears in Week fourteen and then come
out in the most blase fashion against the Rams, even
while getting Nick Bosa and Drake Greenlaw back. This season
that has been disappointing for the Niners been hit by
the injury bug. John Lynch and Kyle Shannon have what
looks to be a bigger problem. However, when you have

(36:31):
a player in Devondre Campbell who refuses to go on
the field and finishes his tenure as a forty nine
er on the suspension list, there's trouble in Paradise.

Speaker 3 (36:44):
Yeah. I still don't understand the suspension. I mean, he'd
be cut, and here's the deal.

Speaker 4 (36:50):
I think they didn't want to cut him because they
didn't want him to go to another team and get
his wish. They wanted to kind of keep him, like,
you know, suspended off field.

Speaker 3 (36:58):
I guess spend it.

Speaker 2 (37:00):
You can't go anywhere but the forty nine you know,
the forty nine ers are just they're they're just there.
And it was no more evident than last week in
that awful game.

Speaker 3 (37:12):
They're done. The toast.

Speaker 2 (37:14):
I don't they're gonna sign. But you know he can
go to hell too because he was part of the
team that beat us. So we're still we're still looking,
all right, we're looking for that Detroit loss and a
Minnesota loss, and it all comes down to high sweetheart. Uh,

(37:36):
it all comes down to that last game. So here
we go, so one here here, I'll tell you how
this will play out. One of these teams, Minnesota or Detroit,
will lose one game in the six total games or
in the four total games that they had before their
final matchup in week eighteen. One of these, one of

(37:59):
these are going to be a lost. So then we
have to determine what we're rooting for in week eighteen.
I think the scenario that we're all looking for right
now and once again go Seattle. If Seattle beats Minnesota
today in that dreary, forty degree rainy, awful, twelfth Man

(38:24):
suicide Capital of the world crap hole called Seattle, and
it is it is I've been there five times and
every time I leave it's like Christmas. I just happy,
just happy to get out of there. So where are we, Jansing?
We got about two minutes, Yeah, two or three. But

(38:48):
once again we talked about Minnesota's road. It's today, it's
Seattle because Green Bay is gonna clinch by tomorrow. That's
gonna happen. I'll take odds ten to one anybody here.
Green By clinch is a playoff spot by tomorrow at midnight.
So we can't get that loss from the Vikings. All right,

(39:15):
let's try to cover this real quick, because we've got
keys to the game we gotta get to and an
excellent kajata in all right, chance and before we go
into it. Week eight team Vikings Lions in Detroit.

Speaker 4 (39:35):
Prediction Vikings Lions in Detroit. I probably would go Vikings,
but I'm not too set on that because I still
think Detroit. You know, their passing offense has really been
great and that is still going to win them a
lot of games, and their aggressiveness will win them a
lot of games. But I've been really impressed. Vikings looked
like maybe they were going to regress in the passing game.

(39:56):
And then they've had this turnaround again and have been
back to what they've been wing through most of the season.
So that's in credit to Darnold, that's credit to But
that's a really good team still.

Speaker 2 (40:06):
And and for our Fox Sports the Gambler fans, Detroit
playing any type of passing offense at this point, you're
going over. I will lay my mortgage on the over
in the Week eight team game between the Vikings.

Speaker 5 (40:24):
Seriously, I think Minnesota has a better defense coming into
that last game.

Speaker 2 (40:29):
Of course, but you can't deny Jared Goff right now.
You can't right in the dome, you know, you have
to give it to golf. You know what, We're good
enough here. I I think it's a Minnesota win. So
we need to find a Detroit course. Yeah, and we've

(40:50):
got to pull for the Bears today that that being
the case, you know, and we.

Speaker 3 (40:54):
Got to pull from Minnesota the last game of the season.

Speaker 2 (40:56):
So all right, let's do this. Let's take our our
final break. Let's take a break before our final segment.

go there we are Mark Mark.

Speaker 2 (43:10):
Mark has six friends here, nice work and back in
the studios in Balakin with John Jansen. When you make
the right decision, it feels good, like picking the perfect
furniture or choosing a good night's sleep over an all
night TV series binge. It feels really good to make
the right insurance decision.

Speaker 3 (43:25):

and then our favorite part of every show. Kajada Kidzada

(44:10):
is kick ass, jackass or dumb ass, and we and
the Washington Commanders, the commodes. Uh, easy material, babe, I'm
gonna rip through this. Mark the way in Jansen way
in Uh, Keys to the game. Don't let Brian Robinson

(44:30):
beat you. Continue to do what you're doing up front.
Let Jalen Carter loose. And that first game we had
three sacks and eight tackles for a loss. Again continue,
put q on Kerry McLaurin, shove Saquon down their throat.

Speaker 3 (44:44):
Simple, easy, awesome, Mark, What do you got well? I think? Uh?

Speaker 5 (44:50):
You know the Eagles have to keep the Redskins at
Bay Redskins.

Speaker 3 (44:56):
I'm sorry, No, you.

Speaker 2 (44:57):
Know there's a big petition by Native Americans to bring
that team name.

Speaker 3 (45:01):
They're gonna be the Redskins again.

Speaker 5 (45:02):
Oh really okay, oh yeah, yeah, so it's also to laugh.

Speaker 2 (45:05):
At all twenty of them that are backing their drum
in front of Exfinity at our tailor.

Speaker 3 (45:08):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (45:09):
I think we need to keep Jayden and Daniels in
the pocket, keep them contained, you know, and really stop
that run.

Speaker 3 (45:14):
I don't think they're really going to have much of
a chance today. Chanson.

Speaker 4 (45:19):
Yeah, just don't give him the big play in the
passing game. That's really what Jaden Daniels has done very
well since college and then even in the NFL, it's
been the deep ball. Now they've been missing a lot
of those now, so the passing offense has kind of
been struggling. Even last week they had opportunities against New Orleans.
But I think if you keep them in check, don't
give up any big plays, let try and make Washington's
offense be efficient. That's where you can start getting some

(45:42):
i think plays off of Jane Daniels and maybe some
turnovers as well.

Speaker 2 (45:45):
So, which is going to be very very difficult against
the best cornerback in the NFL in quinnyon Mitchell.

Speaker 5 (45:52):
But did you hear about what they're doing with McLaurin
Now remember last time we faced them, McLaurin didn't move right,
he stayed on the left side, right and Quinnon mash up.

Speaker 3 (46:02):
Now they're moving him around a little bit. You could
follow him.

Speaker 5 (46:05):
I doesn't matter, yeah, I'm saying, but they're gonna try
to match him up on different Q is gonna be
on the clarin all day?

Speaker 3 (46:11):
Well, I'm down with it. He doesn't. He doesn't need.

Speaker 2 (46:13):
You know, you don't have a number one cornerback for
any other reason than to cover the number one receiver
right period. So and it doesn't matter for cornerbacks. They
they know both sides. There's no longer a left or
a weak side cornerback or a strong side cornerback.

Speaker 3 (46:31):
You just have that person that's gonna stay on the
number one. I think Jalen car Is gonna a big
game today.

Speaker 2 (46:36):
I think Jalen Carter is an absolute freak today.

Speaker 3 (46:41):
He's he's a freak.

Speaker 2 (46:43):
He he is unstoppable, whether you put one or two
people on him.

Speaker 3 (46:48):
Chanceen have you.

Speaker 2 (46:50):
You know, let's not anoint him yet because he did
have a bit of that. He had a bit of
a shaky season, you know, last year, but the whole team, right,
so it we can't go to that, you know that
Moniker that suggests uh, yeah, you know he had a
bad season last year. No, the whole team did because

(47:10):
they quit, right, But this year, just watching him Bowl over,
I don't want to say it. I don't want to
say it, but man reminds me a lot of ninety nine.

Speaker 5 (47:19):
Yeah, he guys, you saw what happened last week.

Speaker 2 (47:22):
You got mad at that?

Speaker 3 (47:23):
Oh that was fine?

Speaker 2 (47:25):
Yeah, Chanson leigh in on that.

Speaker 4 (47:28):
Yeah, we're talking about that kind of like dominant player.
This is a Fletcher Cox, this is you know, Aaron Donald.
You don't ever want to compare too many people to
him because he's he's one of one, one of the
most dominant, maybe the most dominant defensive player ever, so
it's hard to make those comparisons. But yeah, we're we're
talking about that kind of skill level, that kind of
elite play, and he's been doing it consistently now for

(47:50):
like multiple weeks. He's one of the ones, you know,
since the bye week has also been just exceptional every
single week. But yeah, we're talking about one of the
highest level defenders in the NFL at the moment and
jailing cards.

Speaker 2 (48:01):
Chance and stay on this one predictions for the game.

Speaker 4 (48:04):
So, by the way, did you notice that I actually
almost got the exact score right last week?

Speaker 2 (48:08):
I don't know if I I know you did. I
was waiting for it. So you're obviously the polar opposite
of me, because I would have started off the whole
show with a five minute segment on the fact that
I was right. I know I was. I was just
a little off on each score.

Speaker 4 (48:21):
But I'm going to go thirty one to twenty birds
birds mark.

Speaker 2 (48:29):
Twenty eight fourteen birds, and once again, I will stay,
I will abstain. I'm not jakeson this. I had the
same underwear I've worn for every game, same to short
side worn for every game, and same undershirt. No they've
been washed, Lauren, same well. I have the Green Legion
Radio T shirt on during the show and then I

(48:51):
put my Quimby jersey on after that. So I'm just
I'm just I'm just following right, I'm not doing anything different.
You know what, Jansen, we need some theme music for
Kajada because it's time.

Speaker 3 (49:04):
Everybody.

Speaker 2 (49:05):
Our final segment on Green Legion Radios broadcast of the
Fox Sports Pregame Show, brought to you by Cheerleaders.

Speaker 3 (49:12):
Gentlemen's Club Kajada.

Speaker 2 (49:13):
Everybody enjoy this segment because it's a comedic relief we
all need during these stressful holiday times. Chanson you first,
Mark you next, all right, and I already know my
answers to all this kijada kick ass, jackass or dumb ass,

(49:36):
and Danny's here, which is kick assoo? All right, everybody,
kick ass, jackass or dumb ass. November fifteenth, twenty ten.
Think about it, yeah, I think about it. All right.

(49:57):
I'll help you out because we don't have that much time.
That was when we d up the fifty nine burger
on him nice at FedEx Field. Yeah, Michael Rick and
DeShawn Jackson, we're at a control. Yeah. It was a
game in the rain and I went to a game
with the Playboy playmate.

Speaker 3 (50:14):
Your hand.

Speaker 2 (50:15):
Yes, I did, even got to ride home from her.
I didn't get anything after that, but uh, can we
just say kickass?

Speaker 3 (50:25):
Yeah? Yeah, all right? Add on the loud speaker at
