com. Mays you killed that MalChevy Red. Oh yeah good. I
mean that was just tremendous, sosmooth. I mean, if they'll use
that on everything they're doing, Imean you've missed by them. They are
missing out there. I did that, you know. Actually that took me
two takes and I did it remotelyhere in Florida, so I was I
was wondering how it would sound, but I apparently it passed the test we
(01:08):
call you one take maze. Whatis now? Yeah? I used to
be like, who was who wasit? Rhonda? Who was our production
person? Yeah? Rhonda, Yeahshe was awesome. She would not want
two takes out of you, thatis for sure. Back at the Fanatic
and we will get into our draftKing's partnership a little further talk about the
offer we have going on. Um, Harry, good news. Um Danielle.
(01:30):
This was before I think you cameon. It was every week my
landscapers would show up at ten amwith the leaf blowers and the they are
done there, they've been in andout already this morning. Wow, we
are clear. So so what wasat seven am? I think they started
like a little close eight, butthey're like, you know, ten fifteen
minutes in and out. But wow, at least I don't have to work
to mute button on and off. That crazy good. I mean work that
(01:53):
would happen to me all the time. And I swear anytime at a Zoom
meeting or a podcast phone call,I was like, like, leaf flowers
so loud. There's gonna be someexcavating going on here at some point.
The guy was here at eight o'clockto prep it, and so I'm you
know, if that happens between nowand the end of the podcast, my
(02:13):
apologies, but there's nothing I cando about it. Yeah, you are
on location if you are not inthe Pennsylvania area where we're dealing with an
unseasonable chill right now, which isa lot of fun because yeah, the
tease of like, oh, springis here, all of a sudden,
summers here, and then winter cameback against. Yeah, great place to
live, Danielle. How are youafter a week in what I call the
(02:38):
most unique big city in America inNew Orleans? You know, that's a
great way to scribe that. Itwas my first time in New Orleans,
really, it was. Yeah.Yeah, So I did a little pool
on Instagram and I had people givingme all the spots that I had to
go and stop and eat and everythingelse, and I probably got to like
three of them because the majority ofmy time was spent at the golf.
(03:00):
You know, a lot of peopleare always like, wow, you travel
so much, and I'm like,we go airport, hotel, golf course,
repeat. But yeah, we didget to go to like Cafe Dumont
and Merrills, which is Emerald's likesister restaurant, had spignets, enough spicy
food to last me through this afternoonprobably, and you know, and a
(03:22):
ton of golf. So I enjoyedNew Orleans. It was fun and really
the weather they said we had likeunseasonable weather. We had one day where
the weather was terrible and we hada little delay, but other than that,
we got pretty lucky. Really wasn'ttoo soupy, no no, not
really dried up pretty quick and wewere good to go. Now, what
was the commute from the golf courseto the city. So there's a Harris
(03:46):
downtown where ye got golf and gamblers. Majority of the guys stayed down there.
The tour also has a deal withOmni, so there was a couple
guys staying up Omni. We werefortunate enough to have some good friends hosted
us in one of their houses,so we were right there in between that
Harris and Omni. So depending ontraffic, i'd say around like twenty to
(04:08):
thirty minutes each morning. That's notbad. Afternoon, yeah, yeah,
traffic got a little thick in thecity coming home, Like you know,
when we had like a late teatime. I think we were the last
group off on Friday, and thenby the time we got done with the
media, interviews, everything else.I swear it took its like forty five
minutes to get back home. Ithink it's the best food city in America.
It's like, what do we havecheesesteak? And then all we do
(04:29):
is tell each other that the placewe like sucks, right, so what
do we have? Like list,I love a cheese steak and a salt
pretzel and a water ice like thenext guy. But when you stack up
the food that New Orleans presents,it is tremendous. And I have a
shelfish hoururgy so I can't even haveOh wow, yeah, yeah that is
(04:50):
I need to just call the day. I need to pack it up.
You feel like they'd come up withsomething for that by now. You know
what I mean is launching people thespace left and right. I can't eat
a crab. Come on, hey, I give you like an immune system.
This is ridiculous. It would benice. No, I do.
(05:10):
Got to give a shout out though. Um our friends that hosted us,
they owned the chop House in NewOrleans and so they invited us out.
We went on Thursday, and Idon't eat be for pork, so I
had fish. I had this incredibleredfish, like I swear to got a
pound of crab on top of it. Was incredible. Oh wow, Well,
the guys played decent Thursday, sothey said, oh, okay,
we gotta let's do the same thingtoday. Facts actually texted Broad and Eye
(05:34):
and he goes, what every eightfor dinner last night? I hope you
eat the same thing again tonight becauseb shot. You know seven they were
eleven under. They were eleven underas a team seven under for Yeah,
so what did we do? Weate a chop Alice sat in the same
seats with the same crew Thursday,Friday, Saturday. I'm sorry Wednesday,
(05:54):
Thursday, Friday, Saturday. Wow, but so I've had enough seafood literally
for the next two months. Itworked. I think I think Bee needs
to put chop house on his bagright. T seven for Brandon and Sean
are great. Great to see theresults for those guys for all the work
that especially. You know, obviouslywe don't know Sean as well, but
(06:15):
Brandon has been putting in and dealingwith some injuries. So um, you
know, we know Daniel, youknow a little bit better than us,
but we know the talent that isthere and just um, it's great to
see him putting it all together. But twenty seven year old Nick Hardy and
twenty six year old Davis Riley socool to get their first win on tour
together, get a final final roundseven under sixty five, a record for
(06:36):
the tournament thirty under. They geta two year exemption, they're in the
PGA Championship. Um, they splitfour hundred FedEx Cup points, a cool
like mill and a half and theymet at a junior event when they were
teenagers, right, so just justsuch a cool story. Um, good
for those guys to get to win. They played really really well, you
(06:58):
know, can't lay and Chocolate werethere, right, They get a T
four. We knew they were goingto be there. Some surprises with with
Colin Morcala at Maxi Holm hol Makawawent home early, yeah early. But
yeah, just just a great tournament. I mean, I love the format,
so it's good to see that theformat is so cool. I you
know, I was kind of interestedheading into it, as you guys know
(07:18):
it is possibly going to be onthe bag. Sean actually said he's like,
yeah, d should have been onthe bag because we started you know,
becoming friends afterwards, so it's kindof cool. But you know,
there's so many things that we don'tthink about. And obviously I didn't watch
the broadcast that since I was there, But just when you're playing alternate shot,
deciding so one of the guys hasto do even holes, one of
(07:40):
them has to do odd holes wherethey have to tee off every single hole.
But this it goes beyond the strategyof that. Sean hated Brandon's ball.
Brandon hated Seawan's ball, so Seana lot of times would have to
say, Okay, let's tee offwith Brandon's ball, because Brandon's approach shot
going in like he needs the ballthat he's used to that spin. You
know, for maybe some of thelisteners and myself, it doesn't matter if
(08:03):
I you know, I'm just pullinga ball out of my back hitting whatever.
But there's just so much more thanyou really think about that goes into
it. When you're playing those alternateshots, it's such it's just so much
strategy and you know, who's goingto hit the second shot in, who's
gonna you know, how far arewe now going to have the second shot?
And what is the spin right goingin. It's just it's wild.
(08:24):
I don't know, is that somethingthey talked about on the broadcast at all?
Oh? Yeah, I mean Inoticed that Brandon actually was hitting a
lot of the second shots in onthose par fives where they'd have you know,
Sean would tea off, which waskind of interesting to me. But
yeah, you mentioned the ball.I'm assuming does Sean play a tailor made
ball, because I know, youknow, Brandon's in a stricks On Sean
(08:46):
is titleist. Oh he is,okay, because I thought he used to
be tailor made. But anyway, yeah, I mean those guys are very
particular. It's not like you andme and Moose plan, you know,
where we just hit the shot andwe hope it goes the yardage that it
typically goes. I mean, theseguys have this stuff dialed down to the
yard you know, how it's gonnahit the green and react to the green,
and it's say, there's so muchmore that goes into it, and
(09:09):
usually you only get these situations andthese controversies or issues, you know,
at the Ryder Cup or at thePresident's Cup where they play this format.
So that's why I love this format. I'm not saying we should do it,
you know, five times a year, but at least once or twice
a year. I think it breaksup some of the monotony and it adds
a different element to you know, watching and playing the tournament. I'm surprised,
(09:31):
especially with all the sponsorships, thatthey don't just make this lift clean
in place right, like, youknow, pick up the ball, put
your ball down and play it.Okay, That's what I was saying.
I was saying to Sean. He'slike, no, I'm like wait.
I was like, so if youhit the t shot, can Brandon like
put down his ball, yeah, you know for his approach shot, and
then you put down your ball forputting. He's like, you are not
(09:52):
allowed to switch ball until the nexthole. So even if you know,
say BT's off and you know he'sa little left to right and it hits
the cart path and the balls allscratched up, if he used Seawan's ball
to tea off, he can't putin. He can put in a new
ball, but it has to beSean's Brandon. But yeah, yeah,
but I was like trying to likefind a you know, a little hole
(10:15):
bluephole. Hun's like Nadan y'all. You know, I want to get into
Harry's kind of recap of the tournament, but take us through the moment that
was all over social media where whereBrandon's caddy was on the roof of some
sort of beer tent, Like whathappened there? Yeah, you know,
I've I've learned to stay out ofthe comments section because I could just go
(10:37):
off and I'm like, it's justnot going to be a good look.
But he was on the tea boxand you know, there's a little bit
of wed and he got a holdof one and it just went left.
So the fairway on eighteen kind ofit's not I don't know, it has
a slight curve left. I wouldn'tsay, like, I don't know,
it's not straight. So anyway, there's a Michelobe ultras Seltzer tent that's like
(11:01):
it's made of steel or something likethat, and the top of it just
has this big square. So sinceI wasn't on the bag, I go,
you know, I'll be a fourcaddy because I know sometimes when he
gets after it, these guys arelooking fifty yards up front and don't know
where he's hitting it. So I'mup there and I'm watching this thing coming
and I'm like, okay, thisis coming straight at me. I'm on
(11:22):
the cart path. All of asudden, i hear like klang klang,
klan klan klang, and I'm like, it didn't come down. I'm like,
this thing didn't come down. I'mmoving stools, I'm going rummaging through
the michelobultra cans and everything else.I'm like, this thing's in here somewhere.
The guys are like, I'm like, it didn't come down, and
they're like well, and they're tryingto look in the ditch and everything else.
Well. Actually, Shawn's caddy firstjumped up on the table. I'm
(11:46):
holding the table still. Shawn's caddy, TJ, jumps up on there.
He's looking all around. He's like, I don't see it, and I'm
like it's probably inside because we heardso many clangs. So I'm like,
Pete, come on, let's go. I'm like, do you need a
boost, like, you know, back to my cheerleader days where I'm like,
okay, let's like lift you up. So I was like, step
on my hand. So he boostedthem up and he gets up there and
it's quiet for like I want tosay a minute, and I'm like,
(12:07):
are you kidding me? I'm gonnaclimb up here, like I told him,
it's step really up there, likeI promise, Like I heard the
clangs and he's like, we gota ball, and I was like,
oh, thank you, sweeping Jesus. And he's like and he's so funny.
He's like, you need to identifyit. And the Rules of was
like, no, dude, justpick it up. And from the town
(12:28):
where were they able to play itfrom because obviously that's a you know,
a manmade structure, so that theywere able to place it exactly, so
you get relief with a manmade structure. So um, literally we just went
from like the point of entry thatyou know that the guys and the rules
official had decided, which was kindof just on an angle from where that
was. So it actually, Imean showed me Bertie on his own ball
anyway, so it really didn't matter. But um, you know, should
(12:52):
have shone pollen in the drink orsomething like that. Like it was a
positive thing that he got relief. So if that manmade structure wasn't there,
that thing would have been probably youknow, oh by so um literally just
dropped it. Probably, I'd say, right, you know, from the
angle right to the front of theMichelo Ultra tent right there. Yeah,
you know, but what you knowthat that's funny whatever PD jumped up there.
(13:15):
But honestly, what I thought wasmore impressive was his shot from probably
just thirty yards over to the rightcloser on eighteen with his his three wood
in on eighteen on on Sunday. That was just in thing that was on
TV too. That sounded like arocket ship going by my ear a little
bit different sound. It sounded likean explosion off the face and you could
(13:39):
hear it on TV. I waswatching. I'm like, wow, what
is happening? Yeah? Yeah,So I think that was more impressive.
The clicks, the clicks, youknow, I'm like, hey, Mick
Ultra, like you want to geton the bag. Yeah, well,
Anneheuser Bush can use all the helpthey can get right now. Yeah.
Actually bought a case of Michael Ultriccans when I was down here. Everyone
(14:03):
call everyone calls them chick ults.Yeah, well I'm drinking. I'm drinking
chick Ultris. I'm trying. They'relow calories, yeah yeah, and I
have no no alcohol no liquor inthe house. So this is going to
be quite a week for me.Harry, Do I need a drive over
to you guys to thix that it'sa quick fix. I might have to.
I know, I'm that's an intentionalthing that I'm trying to do,
(14:24):
so anyway, but yeah, youtalk about this tournament. I never got
into this tournament, guys all thatmuch. I don't know. It's not
because of the format. I wasnever really brought in by the golf course.
It never really jumped out at me. And this year between watching it
on PGA Tour Live on Thursday, the way it was shot, I'm like,
man, this place looks really good. And then you know, I'm
(14:48):
noticing, you know, the blimpin the in the the drone shots on
the weekend on the CBS coverage,I'm like, this place looks awesome.
I mean, they had just someunbelievable blimp shots where you could see New
Orleans and then this area between NewOrleans and all of a sudden there's the
golf course. You know, it'slike this oasis that's really drone sounded like
(15:09):
a pack of killer beds. Ohyeah, I mean it got me like
ten times, I'm like, whatis that noise? And this thing is
like it is not and it's likewhat the size of a pizza box?
Right, It's like, really thatthat's a that's a great you know size
and analogy. The thing is humongous, right. But I really got into
it this year, and you know, the place looks like a place I'd
(15:31):
love to play. Davis Riley,Nick Hardy, you talked about it.
Davis from Alabama and Nick a studfrom Illinois. They shoot a final round
sixty five in the alternate shot.I mean that's just I mean that didn't
beat uh, you know, can'tlay and Chaflet sixty three on Friday,
but what around in the final roundand they end up getting two shots ahead
of the Canadians had one and Taylorwho came out of nowhere. When I
(15:54):
tuned in at three o'clock or whateverit was on CBS and I see them
at the top of the board,I'm like, what the heck just happened?
Did I miss around? Like allof a sudden? These guys they
shot sixty three didn't get up thewin. But song Jay I felt so
bad for Songjay, our guy allweek with playing with Cashmere Keith. I
think song Jay might have to takea couple of weeks off and get back
(16:15):
surgery because he was hauling Keith Mitchellaround the entire week. And uh,
you know, they ended up shootinga seventy two in the final round and
you know, kind of falling downthe board a bit. But there was
so much attention on those two becausethey were, you know, such a
great personality pairing. They became allweek, which was cool. Can't lay
and Chaffley sixty three sixty six inthe alternate shot rounds, which is just
(16:37):
you know, miraculous. You know, Horschel and Burns disappointed on Sunday.
Of course I had Billy Horschel,so it's it's par for the course.
The TV coverage was so desirous,I think of the Fitzpatrick's winning this damn
tournament because they were just obsessed withthe brother combo and then those guys,
those guys fell apart on Sunday.Tig and Sue crashed and burned on Sunday
(17:02):
with a seventy three, fell allthe way down to tie for twenty third,
and they were near, you know, in the first page of the
leaderboard. It seemed like all week. So it just goes to show you
the volatility of an event that involvesalternate shot because you can move up or
you can move down really quickly. And how about the cut being ten under
par. I mean, I thoughtthat was incredible Daily and Duval plus fourteen
(17:25):
the first two you look like SantaClaus out there. Did you see any
of that, Danielle, those two, did you watched anything? I watched
them, um come in on nineand then watched him on ten because they
were awful different time than be soI only go, right, I have
to watch two holes and obviously theydraw a ton of attention. So yeah,
he can't see too much. Buthe was wearing like he couldn't put
(17:45):
pressure on outside of his body likehe is that right, Yeah, yeah,
he couldn't. He couldn't, likeI forget if I think it was
his left side where he couldn't likefollow through and put any pressure on his
left leg like he was injured.Yeah wow, yeah, plus fourteen.
So but I thought it was agreat week. And you know, and
that's despite you know, in youknow, Brandon and Sean O'Hare, which
(18:07):
I took him in the top twentyand the easily. I mean, this
is such a great week. Andyou see what Brandon did was he moved
up thirty five spots I believe inthe FedEx Cup from two hundred to one
sixty five. It just goes toshow you what one good week can do.
And if you can compound that withthis week in Mexico, I mean,
you know we could be onto somethinghere. That's all it takes.
(18:29):
I mean, I know you guysasked me a lot about Brandon and Sean,
but I don't know if you guysrealized that they were playing with Riley
and Hardy. So I got towatch these guys like starting out one shot
just better than Brandon and Sean. And it's funny because they didn't play too
much of a different game really, but you know I saw his family and
his girlfriend and everything else. Andthen you know that watching them start to
(18:52):
take the lead and then on seventeenthat I mean, they were kind of
upset with that t shot that waslike down to the bottom, like fringe
of the green on seventeen to theright, but them draining that put for
you know, for Bertie, thatwas kind of like the you know,
the the changing moment, But Ithink, you know, what's so tough
is finishing on eighteen not knowing ifyou won yet. Like I feel like
(19:15):
it's so much cooler to finish oneighteen and be like I just wanted to
a PGA Tour event, but it'slike, no, you got three groups
behind you that could possibly catch you. So like, you know, but
I was still like I was takingpictures for his girlfriend and stuff and trying
to help him with that, butit was kind of like, you know,
they're waiting outside the scoring ten andwe're standing right there with them,
and they're like, all right, well, what are they just doing seventeen
(19:36):
or are they doing eighteen? Andthen like a couple of minutes later,
like a man pulls him over. She's like, you guys just want and
it was just like it wasn't likewhat I would want be or somebody to
experience. Winning a PBA Tour eventwas like anti climatic. It's like,
yeah, I think you guys aregonna We talked about it a couple of
weeks ago, like there's different waysto win, right you right that win
you get the win where you whereyou you know, you're a foot out
(19:57):
and the other guy hits his andyou know you want to you tap it
in, and then you get theone where you have to make the shot
to win, and like the differentlevels of energy that those produced are wild,
and it's a win is a win. But yeah, to your point,
Danielle, it's like there's cooler, there's cool ways to win. I'm
sure any of these guys would takeit. But yeah, both of those
(20:18):
guys withdrew from Mexico. I thinkI saw on Instagram or Twitter that it's
like the first time that the previousweek's winners withdrew from the tournament. However,
I can see possibly why the flightout on Monday from New Orleans was
canceled. Something happened with the planedoor. So I spent most of my
Monday trying to like see arrange likeprivate jet transportation with like twenty of the
(20:41):
tour guys because they were all stuck, but they ended up just waiting until
the next day, so most ofthem didn't get out there until yesterday.
Wow. Wow, Yeah, listen, great event, Harry. I agree,
man. I think that they framedthis place a little bit differently this
year, and it really showed itoff. And uh, obviously we have
a vested interest in what was goingon this weekend. Other than that,
(21:04):
you know, it was some somereally good golf, and you love to
see these guys um respond to adifferent format and play play really well.
So good job. Sorry, verycool. How about a little news with
the PGA Tour merging the Latino America'sTour and the Canada Tours. Pretty interesting,
right, very interesting, especially whenit'll start yep, February twenty twenty
(21:30):
four. And this was really interesting, as you guys know, like Brandon
played on Latin America, even playedyou know, he didn't play on anything
Canadian or on the McKenzie Tour. But um, at first I was like,
okay, like this is interesting.Let me see. But two tours
are combining and now only sixteen events, so it's actually taking away opportunities for
(21:52):
guys. And there's no word onthe purse. So since we're combining two
tours, is the purse gonna goup higher or is it still going to
be you win first place and getwhat like sixteen thousand dollars, but you're
winning in Argentina and get thirty fivepercent tax, so you're going home with
eight thousand dollars to cover your flight, your caddy and you know what he
meants some like dinners for the day. But the top ten on the PGA
(22:15):
Tour of America's which is the newtour name pointless, will exert part of
me, will earn exempt Corn FerryTour membership for the following season and an
exemption to final stage of PGA TourQ School, which I think is huge.
Yeah, fifteen corn Ferry cards upfor grabs and then the exemptions into
Q School, as you mentioned, which is that's massive. It is massive.
(22:38):
But what do you guys think withyou know, now there's only going
to be sixteen events across Latin America, Canada and the US. But it's
I mean, it's kind of takingaway spots for some of these guys.
Yeah, it seems that way.I guess it's just you know, economic
resources and economics, right, It'sit's just cutting back. But yeah,
I mean it's it's tough. It'stough to really tell what the reasons were
(23:00):
behind it, right, They don'treally get into that, but you know
I'm seeing Yeah, never mentioned thepersia, right, So that was my
first thing. I'm like, arethese guys going to get a little bit
more money and two tours combining, you know, becoming right even things you
would hope so, especially with thelive stuff going on, even if it's
just a tiny bit, you know, give him a little boost. Yeah,
(23:22):
let's see if it gets a titlesponsored name on it, and then
you'll then you'll see if there's achange of that for sure. Like the
form tour was like a local Qseries and yeah, and speaking of tours,
we have our local tour, theAGS, the Amateur Golf Society.
Our partners plays Begone Bella Vista andWhite Oaks. Also they have a really
cool event. There's limited spots remainingfor the first match play event. Speaking
(23:44):
of matchplay at white Manor on Mayeighth, I'm actually gonna be playing in
that, Harry, I wanted youto play in that. You were not
able to. You're playing something else. Um remember we had Um hung On
from Golf and Gaming Club out inLa Well, he has a couple of
his guys Um if you ever checkhim out on Instagram, Mac Bouchier and
Zach TTG that are going to beplaying in this. No, it's going
to be a really really fun event. Check it out if you could still
(24:10):
get into this registration still remains opensign up. You know, we've had
Dan on we know how cool thisis. But you know, if you've
been kind of wavering, think aboutit. Check them out fom one Socials,
you know, Heads Amateur Golf Society'swebsite and see what they have the
offer, because it's such a funway to really step up your golf game
this year and play at a competitivelevel on your schedule. So kudos of
(24:32):
those guys are off to a runningstart and interested to see the progression throughout
this year and into the next coupleof years. So yeah, I love
what he's doing. We got tokeep pushing that, letting people know,
especially in the Philly area, he'sdoing something really great. Yeah. I
definitely want to get involved with oneor two of those events this season.
It's just that I had already committedto another event on that particular day,
(24:56):
So but that that sounds awesome.Man. I'll be with you in spirit
out there at White a Moose,Yeah, no doubt. So I played
in the opening day tournament at theLegacy Club this weekend, which was so
much fun. The poor guy onart so it was ABC and D and
R a's guy named Sal Glati andtalk about someone needing to see a chiropractor
for carrying people. Uh huh,he carried the team right. Put it
(25:18):
this way, Harry, you knowthat when I go take a lesson,
why so, okay, I'm headingout the cricket today to see Rob Shimony,
to see if I can figure somethings out, because I just well
with the stuff that I'm going through. The only thing I had in my
game was like one once or twicein an outing, like that's a bomb.
Right, that's now even that's nowgone. So I have nothing.
I have nothing positive, So Ineed to figure some things out. All
(25:41):
areas, there have to be something. Yeah, there's got to be something.
You got to be able to roll, yeah, roll one in every
once in a while. Yeah,I hit one one long put that was
it? Now? How many howmany drives did you have to use of
everybody's in this team? Okay? All right? From the quote at one
point from Sal was unless that ison Root seventy, we're playing that drive
(26:03):
of yours. That's just a sumup what we were dealing with. Okay,
was it on Root seven? ButI had one drive on nine that
was a great drive like it wastruly a great drive. The other ones
were, hey, we have touse this. It's not you know,
it's not the best location, butwe have to use this. Sounds like
you guys caned to Michaelo Ultra.Yeah, well, there have been a
(26:26):
tent I've witnessed this, and Moose'sswing speed is something to behold, man.
He I mean, he really whipsat it, and so you're going
to have some dispersion every once ina while, and that's what you're trying
to dial that in a little bit. You know. That's so I get
it, you know. Yeah, yeah, I don't swing that hard.
(26:47):
Sounds like you and I have toget out to Legacy Club. Moose has
played this track how many times. Now we're gonna go in there. I'm
gonna at least probably be in thereblind. I gotta figure it out,
you know, I can't embarrass myself. Tremendous team. They're doing such cool
stuff that they they reopened the teabox. They did a lot of work
on number six and it was thefirst time that anyone got a chance to
play it, and it was tremendous. I mean, the stuff that those
(27:10):
guys are doing over there. It'sreally special to be a part of it.
UM not just a golf course, but the entire facility, the building,
everything they're doing over there is UHis tremendous. So excited that that
is our home base for our outingand hopefully we'll be for years to come.
I've mentioned it before we got on. We're up to seventy four spots
in the Fox Sports the Gambler,Swing It and ding It open benefiting the
Magical Meal Foundation. So there's there'slimited spots available and you're not gonna want
(27:33):
to miss this. I'm telling you. We partnered up with with Dormy Workshop
to our friend Wes Patterson who willbe out there at bombing drives for us
and doing a little demo. UMhave a little collaboration. So the long
drive winner for the men, I'mgonna have to come up with a with
a women's m Gabby and I yeah, you guys will just wrestle for something
that's all so a custom suit byRobini. Where as soon as we announce
(27:59):
it, he's going to take outthe tape, measure and measure right there
in front of everybody, right andI've had that done. That is something
that's an experience. It truly is, It truly is. And then this
sweet driver headcover from Dormy Workshop thatsays twenty twenty three long drive Champions,
So you know people are gonna loveto have that in the bag. Yeah.
(28:19):
So really really happy to partner withthose guys for sure. Um they
were voted the best leather head coversby Golf Digests for the past six years.
So if you're looking for really coolleather head covers with custom designs,
checkout dormy workshop dot com. We'regonna have those guys on in a couple
of weeks just to talk about theirstory how they started. But really really
(28:40):
cool stuff, so make sure youcheck those guys out. And very happy
to have him involved with through Westin our outing. So beautiful. I
love those leatherhead covers. I gotone of them on my hybrid. They're
so easy to get on and off. That's what I really love about them.
Plus they look good. Yeah theylook good. That's the important part.
Yeah, yep. So looking forwardto to the outing, so much
still going on with that. Veryexcited for it, do you guys?
(29:02):
I just happen to notes on socialmedia. Um, I guess it was
eight Am Golf had an event inVegas for like celebrities, and you have
Jimmy Fallon and Justin Timberlake, whoare like a pair. They are so
high energy and and Harry, youand I are more of a lower energy
type of I'm very low energy, like they are a little texcellent. They
(29:23):
were jumping all over, really ridingeach other around. They've probably got five
hour hour energies. They've been chuggingall morning. Yeah, maybe maybe a
little more than that, but uhyeah, they're called transfusion. Yeah.
But jj Watt was out there. It looked like a cool event. But
I'm like, man, these guysare way too energetic for me on a
golf course, Like, yeah,I don't know if I could do it.
(29:44):
Yeah, but yeah, check outI've seen I've seen Timberlake, you
know at some of these events. He is a good player. He's really
into it, which I really love, I respect it. But yeah,
he's always he always seems to bejust shot out of a cannon. Yep.
Yeah, all right, let's takeit. Quick break now, go
ahead, our Daniel. Oh no, we can go, we can.
This might take a second, solet's go for the break, all right,
(30:04):
quick break, we'll be right back. We'll have Danielle's news that she's
working on, and then we willdo a previous Tiger Woods news too.
That's right, and live news,we sure do. All right, we
will be right back. All right, Welcome back to swing It and dan
It. Um, Harry, youwant to talk about what are we talking
(30:26):
about Tiger Live? Danielle? Whatwere you working on right before the break?
I just wanted to talk about localqualifying for the US Open. Oh
yeah, yeah, you know,we didn't talk about that at all,
And you know, um, Ijust think it's exciting watching some of the
local guys get through. You know, last year Brandon qualified in a five
(30:47):
for three playoff spot which was wild, along with Branny Quinn. So there's
always just so many fun storylines withUS Open qualifying. Um, but I
thought, you know, Nick Thompson, let see Thompson's I would say the
lesser known Thompson of them. Wegot Lexi, we got Curtis, but
Nick Thompson. We just I'm justlooking at the US Open qualifier and it
(31:10):
says like five things you should knowabout this week, and they keep posting
stuff. But I think there's somegood, good you know, headlines here
looking at it. There's this kidcalled in an Indiana qualifier. Happy Gilmore
earned his nickname after after winning along drive competition at age nine. The
kid looks like he's like thirteen yearsold and he's competing. First thought to
(31:32):
play in the US Open, amajor championship, and then you got a
California qualifier, Andy Millers of thenineteen seventy three US Open champion Johnny Miller.
As I mentioned Nick Thompson, hewas a member of the victorious two
thousand and five USA Walker Cup team. Cameron Kocher, son of Matt Coucher,
obviously, so lots of headlines headinginto it, so that'll be fun
(31:56):
to follow that. We'll keep updatingyou guys. One who qualifies anybody you
guys are watching. That's cool now, I mean there's some great names there.
Though I didn't know that that Koch'sson, you know, was that
far along in the game. Sothat's something that Matt you can imagine growing
growing up on Sea Island, Georgia, guys, you know, with the
Kocher's son, and you're out thereevery day on the unbelievable practice facility,
(32:19):
honing your game. I mean, moose, you'd be dialing that guy version
and no time, no doubt aboutit, No doubt about when when is
the um? When is the date? Is it June fifteen? It's usually
early? Well, yeah, theFather's Day weekend is the US Open.
It's usually like a week or sobefore that. Right, that's such a
cool day day. Yep. Yes, But we do have for them qualifying
(32:42):
ten thousand, one hundred and eightyseven total entries with the age range being
from eleven to seventy five. FiftyUS dates, eighty seven countries. Um,
there's eleven exempt and then four andqualify. It's just that age range
is unbelievable. Eleven years old, imagine, imagine being a leaven. Qualifying
(33:02):
such a US Open really is acool, cool thing in the game.
The way they the qualifying for thatis tremendous, it really is. Yeah,
that is uh a lot of fun. A lot of people look out
for a lot of people trying toget into that, no doubt. Yeah,
so we'll watch for storylines on that. But moving live guys too,
right, live guys will be tryingto qualify for that as well. I
(33:23):
think, oh yeah, forget whoI forget who it was, it has
to try me. I'm a bigname. I want to say Sergio,
but I don't know who who Isaw that needs to kind of get into
these qualifiers. Yeah, yeah,it probably would be because it didn't he
win the Masters and was I thinkhis exemption from that has already gone.
I think I saw that it wasthat it was Sergio, But speaking to
(33:44):
Live, yeah, Australia, Imean there was a tournament. They were
they were dying to have a professionalgolf tournament there, and they showed up.
For sure. I didn't see anyof this, but I understand they
were. They were basically it waskind of like the sixteenth hole at Phoenix
and a couple of the holes andreal rowdy, and you know, it's
(34:04):
sort of like a soccer game atmosphere, so you know, good on them.
Taylor Gooch gets the win and shotsixty two sixty two over the first
two days and then must have hadto hold on because he shot seventy three
on the final day, um,you know, and got the win.
So but I didn't see any ofit. Did your cappen to catch any
of it? A little bit?I wanted to see Cam Smith walking around
and I got a chance to seehim. I mean he was just like
(34:27):
the crowds were just following him like, oh yeah, crazy. It was
like Tiger in a major right right. Maybe okay, maybe not that much,
but I'm just saying, don't don'tscream at me. Um, but
yeah, it was. They triedto recreate basically the sixteenth at Waste Management,
you know, the four aces.Everybody knows the aces, Harry you
know, of course, well Iknow Patrick Reid's on there and yea DJ
(34:52):
and yeah, they got the teamwin. But it looked like, um,
you know, an incredible event.I mean, obviously with the with
the connections to Australia, with GregNorman, with camp Smith, we knew
it was going to be what itwas. So and then that they're over
in Singapore for the for the nextouting. So they are doing what they
said they were going to do,which is bring off to different places throughout
(35:12):
the world. So you can't knockthem for that, that's for sure,
no. I mean, yeah,Taylor Gooch about that. Yeah, and
we brought up the name, webrought up the name of Tiger. So
there was there was some news aboutthe cat. Yeah, I mean this
happened shortly after last week's episode, really is when when we found out about
it, and he had the subtalerfusion surgery in his ankle. And I
(35:36):
just can't keep track of how manysurgeries this guy has had over the course
of his life on different body parts. But this one is different in my
view because it doesn't really it wasn'treally done to improve or get him back
in a swing fashion or anything todo with golf. This is just for
his day to day life and more, you know, less pain, more
(35:59):
comforting, just living his life. And I found that to be very very
telling. Absolutely. I mean, how much can this guy indoor right now?
How many more sergeries can he haveand get out there and compete?
But he's got so many body partsfused together. Man, He's got more
than than Peyton Manning. Yeah.Do you think he'll compete again? Yes?
(36:22):
Yeah, I just just he justcan't. He can't shut it off.
I do you know, just thatinternal internal drive that he can't.
Yeah, especially there will come apoint where he just realizes the game is
not there and he's not going tobe one of these guys that's going to
be the celebratory X champion out theretrying, you know, like like Sandy
(36:43):
Lysle who has you know, wonthe Masters in eighty eight and this year
was his last year, and he'dbe shooting like eighty eight nineties. You
know, Tiger's not going to dothat. No, No, his body
just can't withhold it. No,all right, So let's head to Mexico
for the Mexico Open. John romdefending this is the shortest line that I've
seen in a long time. ToSixty's like a Tiger kings it is.
(37:06):
It's almost rom verse the field.Ye, it's very very interesting, right,
you know, you have three ofthe top fifty. It's a par
seventy one seventy four hundred. It'sa sixth longest on tour with the longest
part fours in part five. Someof the courses look like they're longer,
but maybe the part threes are justkind of a little bit more stretched out.
Was quoted as a bomber's paradise. So when you're looking at certain guys
(37:29):
right out there that could really doa good job, you have the phenales
um, you know, a lot, a lot to look at for this
tournament, and there's some guys thathave a really good chance that if John
rom Falters could possibly get their firstPGA Tour win. Yeah, absolutely.
I mean, you know, youlook at this rom and phenal and then
there's a huge drop off, youknow, in this field. But you
know, this is a big weekfor our guy, Brandon. I think
(37:52):
you can do really well and makesome hey at this golf course. Cameron
Champ as another guy who's in needof a good week, and I think
this sets up really well for him. In fact, I think he played
well here last year and the onlyother time they were here. I don't
know the golf course that well, but I do remember the tenth hole was
a beast for everybody, especially onthe wind direction. It's a par four,
(38:13):
five hundred yard par four, andthese guys were having trouble getting there
and two. In fact, alot of them were not getting there and
two. Think about that, apar four that they can't get two and
two. These guys routinely are gettingto five hundred six hundred yard par fives
and two. So this hole isa beast and the wind, you know
direction, depending on where they teeit up, that's gonna be a hole
to watch. But you know, you can't take rom. I mean,
(38:37):
you just can't. I'm not evengonna do it in one and done simply
because what happens if he just hasthe off week, you know, and
finish his tenth in your leg?Man, I just blew him, you
know, in a tournament, andhe finished his tenth when he was the
prohibitive favorite. So I'm staying awayfrom him. I'm gonna actually take Aaron
Rye as my one guy. Yeah, okay, yeah, you'll like it.
(38:59):
Yeah, I like to play alot. We'll talk about it and
see the line. But I havehim in a matchup. Yeah, okay,
good, very good. But yeah, this this tournament is wide open.
Gonna be a lot of guys thatare gonna have big weeks that are
going to really elevate them for therest of the season before they they reshuffle
this thing. So looking forward toit. Yeah, Danielle, this is
an interesting correcuse. You're going toa different country. Are they guys like
(39:20):
staying on property? Is are therehotels or what's the what's the situation down
there? If you're not staying onproperty, it is probably a not very
bright move. Um. Yeah, you have to you actually have to take
I don't know. If you lookup the Mexican Open, you can see
on on their Instagram. You literallyhave to take a boat to get there.
Um, they're even like a boatthat you can take to get to
(39:42):
the range. So it's not ifyou're staying, you know, off the
resort, you're going to be havingyou know, probably like an hour plus
commute that maybe isn't able to getthere via carum each jay. So I
think I would recommend staying on course, and I'm confident the entire field is
probably staying on site this week.Yep, no doubt. All right,
(40:05):
so we're gonna got I'm sorry,Yeah, I was gonna say. Brannan
FaceTime me this morning and then sentme a photo they were on the boat
heading over to the range this morning, so it's literally, wow, actually
on a boat head of the range. Yeah. Yeah, I'm not sure
if you could possibly drive to therange, but I'm pretty sure you have
to take a little ferrier a boatto get it to the range. Very
interesting. So we will see theline with our presenting partners, Draftking Sports
(40:29):
Book. I remember from Ta Greenthe best place to go to get in

the tournament starts to see what theyhave in store. We're gonna see the
line a little bit. Some guysomeone know I'm looking out for is Gary
Woodland. I took him in theone and done. Um, he's ninth
in driving distance. We talked aboutthis being a bomber's paradise. He was
T. Fourteen at the Masters lastyear. He had a T twenty four.
Here his numbers at twenty two hundred. You know, not too bad,
(41:14):
So keep an eye on that. We'll talk a little bit more.
But download the Draft King sports Bookat now. Use promo code ding d
I n G and booster odds duringthis week's tournament. That's code ding only

in our notes for all directions anddisclaimers. So, Harry, what else
do you see as you see theline here? Well, it wouldn't be
(41:36):
see the line on this show swingingand ding it if you didn't puff your
chest out about your wins from theprevious movie, I got a chest out
about your wins and ignore your losses. That's exactly move on. Nothing to
see here. O'Hara and Matthews Ttwenty English Schenhougi minus one twenty over the
Danes, Olason, Olison, andhoguards. That was a win. And
(41:57):
and I won two of the threematchups in the Jevron Championship, the Women's
Major. Oh yeah, you're achingall kinds of golf here, I mean,
I was, I was. Iwas dialed into that too, all
right. But for the Mexican TournamentMexican Open, Mark Hubbard is a guy
who plays really well in these typeof events with their shorter fields. Plus
(42:20):
three twenty in a top twenty looksgood to me. Chez Reeve is another
guy. Plus eight fifty in atop ten seems tasty. David Lipsky as
a guy doesn't get a lot ofattention, but it seems like when he's
out there, he plays really well, solid every week plus three thirty in
a top twenty. I'm gonna takeBrandon in a top twenty at plus five
hundred. I'm taking Lipsky over ourguy Cole at minus one ten. In
(42:44):
a matchup, I said Aaron Ryeas the one and done because I need
to make up ground. I mean, other than that, I would take
Tony Fenow and hope that he winsthe dog on thing. But I can't
because I'm so far behind. ButDylan for Telly is a name that I
found in the top forty Moose. This is a guy who has one.
He's won the John Dear, Imean certain weeks, he can really light
(43:05):
it up plus one seventy in atop forty. I figured, why not?
Yeah? I like it, HarryI, As I mentioned, I
took Gary Wildon into one and done. Um, how about the top brit
You could take Matt Wallace at plusthree thirty on Draft Kings. I like
cook. I like that a lot. I mentioned Aaron Rye plus one hundred
over Hoguard in a matchup. Whatelse? Oh? Patrick Rogers He was
(43:27):
tenth here last year at plus twentyeight hundred, not a terrible number.
The RAM and the female numbers area little bit too short, but we
will see after day one maybe umthey could straighten out and he can he
can come back. But uh yeah, check them all out on Draftking sports
Book and don't remember new year user. Don't forget new used that code ding
when you sign up. Danielle andthe other insights from your perspective of what's
(43:50):
going on down there. They sometimesthey talk about Bomber's paradise is, but
you know, you have a lotto deal with when you're in these certain
locations as far as wind and differentconditions. But it looks like the way
is gorgeous. Yeah, it does. Obviously with them missing their flight,
they got in late. They didn'tget in until yesterday, so I know
BE was trying to get into thepro am last night. Though they did
have a little Part three caddy contestwhere the caddies paired with somebody else,
(44:17):
so I guess that kind of went. I was under the lights a little
something to do there, so Iknow the guys enjoyed watching that last night,
But really I probably won't hear anyupdates about the course until today because
he was just on the range practicingall day yesterday. So we will see
gotcha, all right? Looking forwardto it. We will keep you updated.
Don't forget check out information on oursocial media about our golf outing.
