(00:49):
Harry May's Daniel Matthews Welcome into aI don't know. It feels like
a strange week in golf. Itfeels like things have settled a bit.
There's still some turmoil out there inthe world of golf. But you know,
a ho hum win from from TonyFinale, Harry, But like,
uh, I don't know, likehow about the one two and three from
last year or the one two andthree from this year, and it's,

(01:11):
uh, it's been a little bitrare. There's been some long shots this
year, but it just seemed likerom or Finale was gonna win and Finale
one. Yeah, I mean theywith the two favored golfers coming into the
tournament and it turned out that way. So you know, you gotta give
you know, John rom credit.I mean, he could just keep showing
up each week. You think, like, you know, maybe this is
the week he kind of has alousy day on a Thursday or a Friday

(01:33):
and just decides to maybe take theweekend off, No, sir, not
him. He's he just keeps oncoming. And when he when he made
birdie on fifteen on Sunday, I'mthinking, man, he's three shots back
with three holes to go, westill got a chance. There's drama,
and then he puts the second shotin a bunker on sixteen and has to
basically hold the bunker shot to keepyou know, keep it alive. And

(01:55):
he didn't do that, and thatwas the end of it. He ended
up bogeing seventeen birdieing eighteen. Butcredit to Tony fine Man he's taken some
advice from Bruce Lee apparently in hisputting, and you know, just decided
like he was one of these guysapparently that would change his grip or change
the putter head on like a weekto week basis, maybe sometimes during the
week because he wasn't making enough cuts, and he just decided to just go

(02:20):
and do the same thing and repeatit. Like Bruce Lee said something to
the other, I fear the guy, you know who throws ten thousand punches
or something the same way rather thanthe guy who throws ten thousand different punches,
something to that order. I botchedit, but it was a little
bit of Bruce Lee and Tony Fenell'swin this week, so I like,

(02:40):
good for him. Yeah, Ilike it. I like it. And
Danielle this at the time of thepodcast where I complain about the weather.
You guys are both in Florida rightnow, though Harry's not there for vacation.
Let's face it, you're doing Gilman'swork. But it's been awful.
It's been like this pattern of colt. We've had over five inches of rain.
The course of Legacy Club was completelyclosed multiple days. It's just being

(03:04):
raw and cold and brutal, andDanielle, you think we're crazy for just
continue to live here anyway, SoI did think you're crazy, but maybe
not. As of last week.Harrie's probably the only one who's probably having
the best weather being on the westcoast of Florida. So last Wednesday,
I had probably just below golf sizehail destroying my window aping us. We

(03:25):
had two tornadoes touched down here.My girlfriends took me out for my birthday
on Saturday, and I was gettingannoyed for all of the you know,
we have silver alerts, which whenthe you know, older people who maybe
have dementia decided to go to thegrocery store and don't come back for three
days. So we get those beepon our phone all the time, Silver

(03:47):
alerts. So I turned it off, which didn't realize it turned off our
weather alert everything. Saturday night,Brandon's flight got delayed, so I just
stayed out with my friends. Wehad tornado two miles from my house,
flipped cars over, destroyed houses.Every Jesus. I saw that. So
bad, So moose, although chill, We'll take it. Yeah, you

(04:10):
might be a little safer up therenow because we had I think two tornadoes
touchdown m both Saturday and Sunday here, so it's been a little bit crazy.
But now it's back to like eightyfive Sunday and not a cloud in
the sky. It looks like it'sgonna it's gonna break. Um, and
I'm playing Legacy Club on Sunday andI'm playing in the Amateur Golf Society event
Monday at white Manor, so startingtomorrow, it looks like the weather will

(04:34):
turn because I'm really looking forward tothat to match play event. Um.
You guys have heard us talk aboutAmateur Golf Society, check it out.
I know that it's it's a shame. It's like, uh, you know,
they started last week and the weatherjust has been like not the best.
So I think they're gonna have aneven bigger week next week with with
really good weather. So there's plentyof room to still hop in and take
advantage of the Amateur Golf Society becauseand again we'll do a full report next

(04:57):
week after we're playing the event onMonday at white Manor. But it looks
like it's going to be a lotof fun. The guys that I have
playing with me are really excited andyou know, some of Hung's guys are
playing in that event from Golf andGaming Club, so it's going to be
a blast. So looking forward tothis weather break. And I had a
great lesson with my guy Rob Shimoneyout of cricket, and it's like,
I haven't even gone through the rangeto the practice what he preaches. It's
like I'm gonna go back and geta reminder because I forget everything that he

(05:20):
tells it unfortunately when I'm at onthe course. So that's the thing about
taking a lesson is you bring upa very good point. It's like if
you don't get out there at leaston the range for like three or four
days following your lesson, you canforget about everything and all the all that
little muscle memory that you just startedto learn can go away. Yeah,

(05:42):
Brandon's like swing flash cutting coach Toddstones Is he'll be a future guest on
the pod. But he's been withus for the past three days and we're
you know, it's just NonStop golftalk all through dinner and Brandon always I
don't have the right to get frustratedwhen I'm playing golf as I don't practice
enough. So Todd's giving me allthese little, you know, pointers,

(06:02):
a little practice tips, just likemoo Scott the other day. But I'm
like, when's the next time I'mgoing to get out to go and practice.
So he's like, yeah, anactual practice session. He's like,
you can't go and hit this. You know, you say you practice for
an hour. He's like, no, you hit balls for an hour.
You didn't practice. And I'm like, well, what's the difference, and
so like you said, yeah,Well, in advance of the Fox Sports

(06:23):
the gamblers swing it and ding itopen, benefiting the Magical Meala Foundation where
you're your team, your squad thatyou put together is looking to make some
waves. You know you're gonna haveto You're gonna have to have some serious
practice sessions before that event. Iwould imagine, I am, I am,
I already I still wanted Brennan's putters, but I'm going to get it
surethand I need a little bit moreaway in the front and back. So

(06:44):
I'm gonna send that to Scotty andhave that all refurbished and ready to go
by the time the well before thetournament gaps here. So I'm don't worry.
I'll be primed and ready to go. All right, wait a second,
did you just send you got tosend it to Scottie as in Scottie
Cameron. Yeah, alright, Iwent right past me. I'm wow.

(07:05):
I love how she just dropped thatin there. It's not like cousin Scottie.
Yeah. So I get some burgerstall the time, and my little
like insert fell out and uh andit also says Brandon Matthews on. I'm
like, just scratch out Brandon andright, Danielle, Well, we're gonna

(07:26):
need an unboxing when you get thatBaack All Blacks record in mine. This
time, I'll say, okay,we're gonna turn the tables a little role
reversal. I'm gonna have to geta little DM creative house on that putter
head. I mean, exactly promotethe biz with all the work you're helping
Bradmith on the socials making him looklike a social superstar, you know,
right a little bit. So yeah, that'll be exciting. And then uh

(07:48):
and a club fitting coming up.So well, we'll keep you guys in
the loop on the pod. We'llput some stuff up on the ground.
Nice. Nice, So Harry,we talked before we got all we talked
about, you know, next weekthe tournament is in Dallas. We talked
about some of the guys that areyou know, members at this course with
Bryson with Speeth, and it's likeyou're seeing this more and more, and
man, if you didn't see itlast week, the guys, the members

(08:09):
of Silver Leaf in Scottsdale must beloving life right now. Between John Ram,
Tony Fenale, Max Hooma. I'msure there are others in the Scottsdale
area, but those three, um, there's got to be some pride in
that in that club, and there'syou know, Tony talks about it.
Those guys are good friends, butthey compete. You know, imagine just
getting to practice against world number onea couple times a week and like you

(08:30):
know, having a top dog atthe turn and but still like you know,
learning and growing from playing with theseguys. But you're seeing a little
bit more and more of that whereyou know, guys are kind of all
gravitating towards one another and getting gettingto practice together. I mean, Danielle
lives in the Mecca obviously in Jupiter, but now you're seeing its satellite out
to different parts of the country.Wherever the weather is nice. Um,
so interesting to see that with thoseguys who who play together on a regular

(08:56):
basis. Yeah, no doubt. Those money games have to be pretty intense
during the week. Man, I'dlove to get some insight. And Coulton
knows. Does he get paid everytime he mentions silver Leaf on the CBS
broadcast. I think he does becausehe can't help but bring it up because
he's out there too, and youknow, runs into Max every day,
and it's just it must be alot of fun. It sounds like it's

(09:16):
sort of like Jupiter in the desertin that place. Yeah, Daniel,
what's the what's the what are thelike the top three courses where the most
most guys belong down where you are. I would say Bears Club. There's
probably a ton Grove, but that'syou know, that's a little different.
They have a smaller membership. Andthen probably Medalist Okay, yeah, yeah,

(09:37):
Medalist is the only here. Thenyeah, well there's I mean,
that's most of these guys aren't oneclub guys, you know, they're there
are all three that I just name, plus like Bear Lakes, Turtle,
Seminole like wherever. So maybe notas much as Seminal. Yet Jupiter Hills
Hill actually doesn't have pros really yeah, there, I don't know why.

(10:00):
He really don't entertain Like that's bizarre, guys, members it is. I
think it's kind of just like amoney club. Really pros take lessons out
of there with Jason Baile of coursea friend of the pod. But right,
they don't have really a pro membership. They just don't really entertain it.
It's awkward. So the Mexico openedTony Female six win goes up to
number eleven in the world, abogey free five under sixty six for a

(10:24):
three shot win and his fourth inthe past nine months. He was runner
up to Rome last year. Right, we talked about Brandon Woo, who
was runner up last year, tiedon the seventh hole in this when he
thought he was gonna make a run. But as Harry said, you know,
Feenale just was too steady. Ihad to look up Feenale's wins and
I'm not saying not taking anything awayfrom his wins, but like you,
I feel like for the you know, for us and for everyone else,

(10:46):
not for himself. He's a supersuccessful guy, but you know, he
wants to win that major. Youknow, he wants that signature win,
right, So he won the twentysixteen Puerto Rican, Puerto Rica Open,
twenty twenty one, Northern Trust, the three M, the Rocket Mortgage,
the Houston Open, and the MexicoOpen, right, so it's like he
needs that, he needs the players, or he needs you know, Jack's

(11:07):
Place, or he needs you know, the PGA or something. And you
know he's heading in that direction. He was a great watch on full swing
right when he got a peek intohis life where he puts his family first.
He saw him after the match, daddy and for his kids on the
part three. But Harry, whatdo you think about this win? I

(11:28):
mean, listen, having six winson a PGA tour is incredible. But
do you get that sense too thathe needs to take it to the next
level? I do too, Andyou know you always want to stack wins,
and you know, if you're gonnatee it up, and you know
you're trying to win the golf tournament. We now as fans put all this
emphasis, you know, and becausethe golf you know, the PGA Tour
wants us too on these elevated events. And you and I were talking even

(11:50):
before we signed on here. Likethe fact that these guys get together once
or twice a month now, itseems for an elevated event that typically has
more money available than a major championshipkind of has sort of maybe watered down
some of the majors outside of theMasters of course, which is, you
know, sort of in a classall by itself. But I don't get

(12:13):
a lot of buzz coming up forthe PGA Championship here in a couple of
weeks. You you seem to agree, and I think it's because we've had
all these guys getting together twice amonth for an elevated events for twenty million
dollars in prize money and the winnergets you know, four million or whatever.
It's it's insane, but yeah,he does need one. The Northern
Trust is probably his biggest win becauseit was a playoff event. If I

(12:33):
remember at Liberty National and he outdueledCameron Smith h in a playoff, I
think they win extra holes in that. That's his biggest win on property.
Oh you were for that day,for the final day, we were there.
We were there on Saturday. Wedidn't see the w but okay,
yah, yeah, we got tosee Tony a little bit out there.
Yeah, but I mean, youknow he could he could definitely win this

(12:54):
week. This is a kind ofgolf courts, a big boy golf course,
and he seems to play well onthose with the way he's you know,
driving the ball. He keeps puttingthe ball the way he is.
You know, this would be ahuge win for him. But I think
he's gonna run down one of thosemajors he's starting to to, you know,
to really become more of a consistentfour round player, no doubt.
And Danielle, how about the swingit and ding it bump right? You

(13:15):
got Eric Colet five, you gotKevin roy T eighteen. That's all you
gotta do. Guys, come onto swing it and ding it. Come
on the program, and then youjust work your way up the leaderboard.
No big deal. Let me justh slash, give me that, and
then when I'm sending a text message, I'll just send just your recording right
there to thank you beautiful. Lookwhat happens when you come on and you
join me Moose and Daze, Harryyour boy Batilla. Yeah, at a

(13:41):
fourth place, he needs he needsseventy more points for like the his permanent
you know membership. Yeah, he'sgonna get it. I think Harry in
the back of my head when Iwas doing my lineup last week and I'm
like, there's a palm tree,I'm gonna throw axe in there, right,
that's right. Yeah, him brilliantin contention there, you know,

(14:03):
for for much of the weekend, and he'll end up running one down.
He's too talented. Um, Butyou know that I had one guy that
made a top twenty out of outof my all my bets last weekend.
It was Hubbard who finished t eighteen. My when my one and done guy
craps out on Friday, I loseinterest in the tournament like you would not

(14:26):
believe. And that's on me becauseit was like the Mexico Open. I
just sort of like tossed it away. Aaron Rye missed the cut. I'm
out. Yeah, I know,it's it's true. That just tells me
you need to play more bets.I know, I know, I altually
pretty good. I had few Woodland, Batilla and then obviously Brandon and Noran

(14:48):
didn't help me out and missing thecut, but yeah, Woodland got a
top forty. I think he waswhat thirty eight or thirty he was my
one and done unfortunately, so yeah, he made the cut. Yeah at
least doesn't help me climb up theboard. But yeah, you know again,
a great event, right, it'sit's looks like an incredible resort where

(15:09):
they play someplaces. Yeah, yougo and check it out. But you
know, I think everyone is lookingforward to obviously the elevated events, the
majors and and really, um,you know, seeing what the next level
is very interesting. Um, alittle news that broke yesterday. Daniel Rapperporter
was the first one to really talkabout it with a little caddie change.

(15:30):
And when you have names like TigerWoods, Patrick can't Lay, Joe Lacava,
it's it turns into a bigger storythan than most. But it's interesting
and it's it's the first thing Ithought of was all of the press that
Can't Lay has gotten recently about howhe plays right And I think does a
guy like you know, Joe Lacavahelp him or is it just you know,

(15:52):
he just does his thing. Veryinteresting to see how that progresses.
Yeah, that will be interesting.I mean, you know, Lacava has
been with Tiger Woods and Freddie Cuppamong others, and you know, Freddie
was a guy you know that didn'ttake a lot of extra time. I
mean, he just goes out thereand just plays golf. So it will
be interesting to see if if Joecan sort of speed Patrick up a little
bit. I'm sure he doesn't wantto do anything to take him out of

(16:15):
his game because Patrick Cantley is anotherguy that's going to run down a major
here pretty soon, and these nextcouple of events. This guy plays really
well at some of these events comingup, including the Memorial. I expect
a big weekend out of him atthe PGA Championship and also this week.
I think this is a good weekfor Patrick Cantley. This might be the
perfect week for Joey lacappin jump onthe bag. And when I got the

(16:37):
text yesterday, I was actually outplaying golf and somebody said, you know,
hey, can't Ley just picked upJoe Lacava. I'm saying, yeah,
I'm sure Tiger blessed that thing andprobably told him go do it,
because it gives you another sad indicationof where Tiger is in his game that
he can just say, yeah, hey, you've got to go find a
bag, Go do it because I'mnot coming back for a while, if
at all, that's the way Iokay, yeah, yeah, I took

(17:02):
it exactly the same way. Andyou know, they obviously talked about that
a lot with Tiger given him theblessing. But uh yeah yeah, I
mean, listen, look, Iwahas got to get out there even that's
his job, right, So I'msure he's very well taken care of.
I'm sure he has a great, you know, situation with Tiger. They
seem to be great friends and andgood good on Tiger. I mean,
you knew he would do that anyway. But yeah, but you know,
if Tiger was coming back in threeweeks or four weeks, I wouldn't have

(17:26):
had that indication. So uh,you know that it makes you REALI yeah,
we all kind of know, butto actually know, I know,
it's like, you know, butnow now it kind of is like,
wow, yeah, it's really obvioushe's not playing again this summer. Yeah.
Yeah, but I mentioned briefly atthe at the top the Amateur Golf
Society Tour. I'm playing Monday inthe match play at white Manor. But

(17:48):
make sure you check it out competitivegolf on your schedule. Head over an
awesome way to get in at anylevel, right, doesn't matter you're where
you are. You could play competitivegolf against people you know you're similar um
playing ability, So check those guysout. How about teller Goods just drop
just winning like four million every otheryou know, every seven days, No
big deal right in the world oflivgolf. See now I missed out on

(18:11):
this, So like, did theyhave back to back tournaments? They had
another one and Gooch won again Singaporeyep, so he wanted and then he
won the Singapore four million, fourmillion apiece. He's won Wow, over
nine and a half million dollars inin a couple of weeks. It's it's
interesting too because I feel it getsleveled out. And the discussion I wanted
to have with you guys today iswhere do you stand now compared to where

(18:33):
you were a year ago on livgoolf. Do you feel like it's kind
of settled out and it is whatit is? Do you feel like,
you know if if another player signedit would make more sense now or less
sense now? Just curious to seewhere you think the landscape sits now with
liv goolf. Start with you,Harry, then we'll talk to Daniel about
it. Well, I think thatwhole, the whole Kur fluffle with Brandal

(18:56):
Shamblee and all the you know, the stuff that he was making about the
moral type decisions. I think that'sreally kind of gone away. People have
sort of accepted, Yeah, youknow, it's dirty money. There's dirty
money everywhere if you really want tolook at it, and I think a
lot of people are more accepting ofthat. Like if another player made the
leap over, I don't think they'dget the same kind of flak that a

(19:18):
lot of the early guys did inthat regard. But as far as me
do I still think do I thinkit's any more legitimate than it was?
No, because they don't play seventytwo holes. And I've said this since
the beginning. It's a fifty fourhole golf tournament. That's great, but
that's more like an exhibition to methan it is a real competitor to the
PGA Tour. If they started tomorrowand staid we're going seventy two holes,

(19:41):
now, you got you got something? No, that's it? Yeah,
Daniel, Yeah, what do youthink about where it sits today? You
know, I think I'm still prettymuch in the same place as well.
I am very true to your andI think maybe that's because it's a little

(20:02):
close to home. But watching thegrind that these guys go through the processes,
I mean, there's just so manychanges. I think the only positive
I look at from Live is someof the changes that have you know,
spilled over onto the PGA tour.I think the PAH still has a lot
of work to do, as simpleas looking at any other you know,
professional sport, NBA, NHL,MLS, anything like that. These guys

(20:25):
get paid, whether they win agame, whether they cut, catch a
touchdown pass, whether they make youknow, the free throw, shoot whatever,
it scoffs. Just such a differentgame. I think there's so much
improvement, and I think LIV hassparked a little bit of that. But
I think, you know, Ialmost I almost vision it or think of
it as almost like a sister ofthe Champion Store, like where you retire,

(20:48):
Like, hey, I just wanta lot of cash. I'm going
to retire. There's no cuts.I only have to play, you know,
like for Championstore, no cuts.I'm only playing three days again a
check. It's easy. I canwear shorts, it's still like I kind
of just view it as a retirementor someone who's like, you know what,
I want to be with a family, I want to chill and I

(21:08):
want not to cash. Like, yeah, it's just know what I view
it as. I'd be curious totalk to it. Like, you know,
like I said, Heath the Gala, right, if this was last
year, right, so that theversion of who he is now coming out
this year. I can't think ofwho that would be, right, A
young player who's starting to emerge.I wonder what they think about it now
compared to what they thought about ita year ago. Right. I'm sure

(21:30):
they have friends on the tour. They hear good things, they love some
of it, and I'm sure someof it is just like I'd rather be
here playing with these guys. It'sthe travel is crazy, right, I
mean more time with their family. But if you're flying to Australia and Singapore
and all these places, I don'tknow if that necessarily does it, but
yeah, just curious. I meanI'm so interested to see five years from

(21:52):
now, does the team thing reallystick? Right? Are people you know,
gravitated towards these teams? Are theybuying merch are their individuals like F
one. I think there's still alot more to come with this, but
it seems to have leveled out.So I just wanted to kind of get
your thoughts on it. But yeah, I'm not any more like attracted to
the team element of it that thathas not sort of grown on me outside

(22:12):
of range goat Merch, which I'dlike to get my hand on a shirt
outside of that, and yeah, hasn't done anything for me. Yeah,
And you know, everyone I've talkedto actually, and it's when I say
everyone, there's like three people whohave been to a LIVED tournament. They're
like, it's just not it's underwhelming. It's not what you think is imp
know, Ada Tour event. It'sjust like and it's funny. You'll see

(22:33):
on Twitter like, oh, lookat you know, there's not that many
people. But I'll tell you evenat the in New Orleans, which you
know isn't really there's outside of thatTPC course, I don't know where the
next closest golf course is. Therewas of course large galleries around like can't
lay and you know the bigger JohnDaly, like the superstars or more popular

(22:56):
golfers. If you will, butthere was there was still a ton of
people out there, and from thepeople i've heard, Live just isn't getting
that I'm actually gonna be going upthere to Central Jersey. I think that
the Trump Course has a live eventin June or July, I can't remember
when, but I'm gonna be goingup to there with a bunch of buddies,
oh for the event, for theevent. Yeah, I'm gonna go

(23:17):
for one day. Yeah nice,Yeah, very curious. See if for
someone who's been to obviously a tonof peach, I want to be on
the ground and see what this islike. Yeah, yeah, you know
that's awesome. Feedback on that,Yeah, I don't know if you guys
ever you know, read it ortook a look at it. We have
so many texts in our thread, but that Washington Post article or Harold Varner,
did you guys read that when he'slike it's all about the damn money.

(23:37):
He was so candid. There wasvideo elements and then there was also
just like interviews. Did either ofyou read No, I didn't see that.
I'll resend it. But he literallywas talking about live like there's lots
of he was very candid, he'scursing. He's like, they're lying if
they think it's growing in the gameor whatever, it's about the damn money.
They just lying in there, LikeI'll pull some quotes from and send

(24:00):
it over to you guys. Butit's yeah, it's an interesting perspective on
Live Moose Sins were on that topic. Yeah, I'd love to read that.
And you think about Taylor Gooch. You brought up Moose with the with
the wins. There's no way TaylorGooches making eight nine million dollars, you
know, in the month of Apriland May on the PGA Tour. No.
I mean, so you know, when you're starting to look at how

(24:22):
it affects some of these guys's checkbooks, it's like, hey, you know,
smart move. Yeah, and itobviously Phills chiming in like crazy on
Twitter about official World Golf Ranking sayingcollusion between the PGA Tour and the networks.
But it's like it's forty eight guysin a three day event, Like
I get it, Like, yes, should should he have gone down in
points? No? Probably not,But I mean you set it up in

(24:45):
a way that was contradicted. Theway the points were gained and now you
want the points. I mean, something has to be done right, Like
you know, a guy like DJA, a guy like Brooks. These these
guys deserve to be when it comewhen the majors come around in them.
So they need to figure that out. But I mean, the debate about
it is just it's pretty crazy andI don't see that part of it going
away anytime soon, because every timeone of these guys wins, they're gonna

(25:06):
be pissed off if they've gone downand points that week, right, They're
gonna have to figure that piece out. I just don't know what the solution
is. Yeah, I think thebiggest thing for Live thus far has been
you know, the Masters with PhilMickelson and Brooks kepto with the way they
competed and you know how how highup the board they finished in a tie
for second. I think that kindof gave them more legitimacy than anything since
they started. Yeah, yeah,no doubt about it. So very curious

(25:30):
to see where that goes. Hetalked about in the Northeast with Live coming
there PGA Championship at oak Hill.Very very interested into seeing that golf course
present for a major. Um.I don't know if any of you guys
have any experience there, been there, But it looks like an incredible place
of um, and it looks likea challenge for sure. But you know,

(25:51):
it's always good to see the thePGA two or especially a major get
up into the Northeast to have thecrowds come out and uh and enjoy that.
But any history with that place foreither of you guys, none for
me, we been there. Imean that that place has many major championships
on its on its resume. UM. I think didn't Duffner win his major

(26:12):
there? I think he won hisPGA there way back now, but probably
what was that twenty eleven, twentytwelve something like that, which might have
been the last time they've been tooak Hill. Um. But that that
has a rich tradition, old schoolgolf course. UM, you know,
look forward to it. I meanI think they've had US a couple of
US Opens there in the past, way back in the day too. So

(26:33):
that's a classic venue. Yeah yeah, wait, guys, I got to
rewind it just one second because you'retalking about US Open. We were talking
about live so huge. He doesn'teven he still has to qualify to play
in the US Open because he Yeah, so he has to go through I
think I think he might have togo through just he maybe gets a pass

(26:55):
on local, so he has togo through sectional qualifying to play in the
US Open. That's about that. He's probably so bad, right, And
at that point, like if you'rea you're like, do I want to
play in the US Open? Becausethen if he doesn't, if he doesn't
get through qualifying, then it's likeright, or if he just passes it
up, what does he carry isseveral zero bank account He's like, I

(27:17):
don't need him, Ama, stayhome and count you're nine million, right,
yeah, yeah, yeah. Youtalk about Okkill. Nineteen sixty eight,
Lee Trevino won one of his USOpens there. Nineteen eighty Jack Nicholaus
won the US Open, US Open, Curtis Strange won one of his two
back to back in nineteen eighty nineat o'kill. They've had a Ryder Cup
there, They've had the US Amateurthere, PGA, Seawan McKeil I remember

(27:41):
that one in oh three won thePGA, and then of course Jason Duffner,
like I mentioned in twenty thirteen, won the PGA. So long history
at Oakhill looking forward to it.Yeah, absolutely. Jim Furich named captain
of the President's Yeah, President's Cupcoming up in Montreal. That'd be a
cool one to go to, righttrail, Yeah, that would be a

(28:02):
really cool one to go to.But good good for Jim. They have
their stable of US leaders basically thatare the champions stour that do a good
job with these guys. Yeah, and that'll be in September, like late
September, right, I mean,I wonder, what is the weather still
good in Montreal? Then I wouldI would imagine you're still gonna get up
some nice temperatures. I would thinkI would think, you know, I
wouldn't want to go to Montreal onFebruary, No, Janie, no,

(28:25):
No. I'm up in Lake Georgethe last week of August, right before
labor, and it's it's usually prettynice. It's it's walker. So yeah,
Mike Weir will be captaining the internationalteam too, mister Canada, So
that's gonna be pretty cool. Yeah, I'm sure Taylor Pendrith, Corey Connors,
right, these guys will will definitelybe in oh involved Um, speaking
of some of those guys, becausethey're in my lineup the DraftKings Contest.
We still have a couple of spots. Make sure you hop in. Check

(28:48):
out our socials. We have thelink also given a sweet Swing It and
Ding It hat to the to theTop prize as well. So make sure
you get in, get your lineupsin, and let's take a quick break.
We'll be right back to preview theWall Fargo Championship. All right,
welcome back to Swing It and DingIt as we head into the Wells Fargo
Championship at Quail Hollow and Elevated Slashdesignated event in Charlotte, North Carolina.

(29:12):
No rom No Scottie Scheffler one andtwo sitting this one out. If you
remember last year this this event wasmoved to TPC Potomac. Right, you
guys were both at that event whereyou not Harry and Daniel, Yeah you
are ye. Uh this place getsyeah, this place gets some comparisons to
uh to AUGUSTA. First, Alot of talk about the first hole of

(29:33):
five hundred and twenty yard par fourto get your day started. Not exactly
a handshake hole that would that wouldnot qualify as a handshake hole, that's
for sure. Yeah, the placewhere Rory got his first win Um,
he has three wells Fargo. Maxhomagot his first win there too, he
sure did, he sure did.So this will be a good one,
right. You hate to see Romand Scheffler not in the lineup, but

(29:56):
a stacked field for sure. Alot of news about why weren't you there?
Why did you withdraw? Not givenup? Really too much? You
got Fenale who gets his win,He's right back up to the top of
the leaderboard. You have can't Leywho who's you know? Plus twelve hundred
with Lacavo on the bag, Zoe. A lot of storylines here. How
do you see this breaking out?Harry, no doubt about. And this
is a great golf course you mentioned, you know, Quail Hollow, It's

(30:17):
had a President's Cup, it's hada PGA Championship, which was justin Thomas's
first major back, I believe intwenty seventeen. Everybody talks about the Green
Mile, which is the finish sixth. You talked about the first hole sixteen,
seventeen and eighteen, get get alla lot of the buzz and rightly
so, but let's go before that. I love drivable par fours and I
think it's a it's a must tohave if you're gonna have a great golf

(30:41):
course. To me, you needa drivable par four in the closing couple
of holes because it makes such greatdrama, such great risk and reward,
especially for these guys. That's thepar four fourteenth. Then they got a
par five fifteenth, which is apretty decent birdie hole for these guys,
and a lot of eagle opportunities too. But then you go to sixty,
seventeen and eighteen, five hundred yardpar four. A lot of times it's

(31:03):
into the wind, there's water leftand water long. Then you get seventeen,
the part three that goes over thewater, two hundred and twenty yard
par three, No big deal, right, And then the par for eighteen
told, which is four hundred andninety and the second shot is all uphill,
and you got that creek that meandersdown the left hand side of the

(31:23):
entire fairway, which is just somebody'sgonna end up in that creek guaranteed on
Sunday afternoon, and it's gonna behigh drama. I love this golf course.
In this tournament, you mentioned MaxHolma got Ricky Fowler has won here
too. He's a guy that I'mlooking at this week to make a big
move, and I would wouldn't itbe great if this was the week that

(31:45):
Ricky Fowler got back into Winter Circle. Absolutely would be would be Danyell.
This event obviously was moved. Youguys were in Maryland when you were here
last week, but very iconic place. Seems like an incredible golf course property.
Everything here about it is just youknow, couldn't be more more positive

(32:06):
in the reviews of the golf course. Yeah, we, like you said,
Harry and I were at a differentcourse last year, so I haven't
seen this course. Um, Igot a pretty good picture right there through
Harry's play by play. Also justyou know, looking here online right now
too, but I haven't had thepleasure of being a feet on ground there
yet, so looking for He's noton the field, so we won't be

(32:27):
there this week, right Web Simpson, I think lives on the golf course.
I can't remember if the five onthe front he lives off the seventh
tea and that's seventh. Okay,He's got some long odds and I'm I'm
we will we will get right intoit. We will get right in to
see the line talk about segus. There's two brilliant segus by Moose in the
last five minutes. So from tto green, especially in Charlotte, North

(32:52):
Carolina, the best place to gois Draft King sports Book. We know
that and new customers will receive anodds boost to add plus one thousand to
any pre tournament wager up to tendollars on any golfer to win. Make
sure you are checking it out throughoutthe week. Download the Draftking sports Book
app now use promo code ding dI n G and boost your odds during

(33:14):
this weekend's tournament. That's code dingonly on DraftKings sports Book. Gambling problem
called one a hundred gambler. Alldisclaimers are in our show notes for more
details. Yeah, we talked aboutseeing the line for this. Harry Webb
Simpson, as you mentioned, longtime member, really long odds at plus
two fifty even sixteen hundred and attop ten. I think I'm gonna take

(33:37):
him in a top ten plus sixteenhundred on DraftKings sports Book. And the
other one I'm looking at is KeithMitchell playing some really good golf. Has
a T three here two years agowith some nice odds at plus six thousand
on DraftKings sports Book matchups. Ilike Thigala even money over Matthew Fitzpatrick.
And I'm actually gonna go the otherway, Harry. I'm gonna go JT

(33:57):
minus one twenty over Ricky Fowler.I don't though it's just because all the
press that JT's gotten over the pasttwo days, because he wants to eat
pizza or what. But it's justyou know how it works when you gamble,
It's just stuff sticks in your mindand you do guys. But uh,
that's how I see the line withour friends of Draft King sports Book,
what are you looking at? Well? I love how John Ram and
Scottie Scheffler both said, you knowwhat, JT s dander, how about
you go win something. You knowwe're gonna We're gonna sit at home with

(34:21):
our feet up, you know, enjoying a cold one. You know Ram
will be walking around in his greenjacket and his underwear and thinking like,
you know, I'm just gonna throwone of the dust of the field.
I love that. But I thinkVictor Hoblin's gonna have a big week this
week. This golf course is absolutelyperfect for him. He doesn't have a
lot of experience there, but atop ten at two plus two ten looks

(34:42):
good. Cam Young is my oneand done, so now you know he's
gonna miss the cut. But aplus two twenty five for a top ten,
this is a great golf course forhim. Homa, it's hard to
avoid him. He hasn't been playinggreat of late. I wouldn't say,
but it's not max Homa level. But I think he gets back to it
this week plus two eighty in thetop ten Jason Day, perfect spot for

(35:04):
him. Top twenty at plus onetwenty Tigala plus two hundred, and the
top twenty matchups can't lay over McElroy. I think I think Rory's a big
fade this week Tigala over Mitchell minusone twenty and Cam Young over Morikawa at
minus one thirty in a matchup.I like it. I like it.
I actually took JT in the oneand done. Did you like elevated event?

(35:28):
Um? Yeah, you know,Homo was off my board. Some
of the other guys were off myboard, so yeah, took him,
and then uh, I have toredo my my Draft Kings fantasy lineup.
Uh for I swinging Dingy contest.I think I need to shake that up
a little bit. I always putone in and when I when I launched
the contest, I always put ina lineup like first, you know,
first guest lineup, and then Isee if I'm gonna go back and change

(35:49):
it. A lot of times thefirst the first crack is the is there's
battles that I've won where I've eitherforgotten to change it or haven't changed it.
So right, because gut your initialgut reaction, I think a lot
of times work. Yeah, mylineup's not in yet, but I do
have my irons as a couple ofguys, I'll be throwing in their Patrick
Cantlay, as we talked about alittle bit earlier on in the show the

(36:13):
Bag, but finished in the topfive and three of us past five of
them side a little bit um ofan opportunity to watch him a little bit
in New Orleans. UM, Idon't know. I think the guy just
plays such good golf, and likeyou said, we're betting. Sometimes it's
just that feeling. I've a feelingwith Cantley, so I know he'll be
in there. Outside of that,UM, you know, took some notes
off of what you guys were justsaying here, and we'll still have to

(36:35):
take a look and a round outthe rest of that lineup after we were
at here. I will throw moneyon Ricky Fowler at plus thirty five hundred
to win it though. Yeah,I mean that's absolutely It's a great opportunity
for him to get that w onof course that he knows and plays well
at. For sure. Stay tunedall week, we'll be we'll be resending
the links. We have limited, limited space available for our golf outing July

(36:57):
seventeenth at the Legacy Club in CherryHill. More and more is being added
to that as far as fun andentertainment goes, so you're not gonna want
to miss it. So whether it'sa twosome, foursome, single, still
some sponsorship of availability, So hitus up and we will make sure that
you you don't miss out on this. But you might want to reach out
to Sacks Underwear moves a x Xas they have just now signed caddy Gino

(37:22):
Banali as their spokesperson. Of course, Joel Damon's caddy gets an endorsement for
Sacks Underwear. Congratulations to him.Yeah, great stuff on Twitter, Great
adsum yeah, they had a bunchof the caddies involved in that, so
that was awesome. I love tosee, love to see the caddies getting
taken care of for yes, yes, all right, listen, great show,

(37:44):
great looking back. Congratulations to Tonyfen Now, thank you to our
sponsors, Drafting Sports Book, don'tforget that code ding D I n G
for new users and mal Chevrolet andwe will be back before the AT and
T Byron Nelson and then of courseleading into a major, the PG Championship.
I hope everyone gets a chance getout there and swing it and ding
