(00:26):
and ding it. Yeah, youknow, just I guess it's gonna go
out there and trying to swing itand ding it. All right, Hello
and welcome to Swing It and DingIt and iHeartMedia Podcasts presented by Draft King
Sports Book. More to come onthat later in the show. I'm not
going to say who picked Kegan Bradleyto win finally got on the board,
but just saying it was in theseat of line second. If you can

(00:46):
go back and listen for yourself andalso moll Chevrolet our crowd sponsors. We'll
talk about them a little bit morewhen we talk about our golf outing.
But speaking of our golf outing, our friend West Patterson is back. West.
What's up man? Welcome back toSwinging and Ding. I appreciate you
guys having me on. It's definitelyan honor to be back. And West
will be back for our outing, sending drives, teaching people a little something

(01:08):
in the morning, and then outon number fourteen sending drives for the foursome.
So a lot of fun looking forwardto that, Um, West,
lot a lot we want to talkabout. Are you more known now for
your long drives or for your airportum hijinks and shenanigans. I would like
to say, in quotes traveling influencer, Okay, gosh man, it's been

(01:30):
an absolute nightmare, so I shouldstart doing like a blog about it.
It's just it's been brutal, butit's been brutal a lot of people,
so I can't complain too much.We can't get that Dormy Workshop PJ to
take you around the around The boysdon't have one yet, but we're working
on getting them one. They're gonnathey're gonna get there. We'll talk a
little bit more about the Dormy Workshopas well, a sponsor of WESS and
they've stepped up and helped us withour outing. But um, you know

(01:53):
West, let's talk about the latest. Right, You just competed in an
event, did really really well.Um talk about that event, and I
know you were coming off an injuryand how are things progressing for you?
It's been good. I mean it'sbeen a tough year and a half.
You know, I had a kneeoperated last year and getting a little bit
older, so I don't bounce backas quick as I expected. So you

(02:14):
know, it's been good. I'mstarting to get healthy, speeds are getting
back up there, and uh,you know, it's it's in a little
tough spot, but now I'm startingto have fun with it again and seeing
a few results and feeling good.Well, a lot's been made of the
PGA tour schedule and their elevated events. Tell us about your schedule, like
what is a typical year or youknow, calendar year look like for you,

(02:37):
and how do you plan that out? Yeah, I mean this year
has been a little bit different. They had a new company. I bought
World Long Drive. GNF Entertainment outof Long Island bought it. So our
schedule is actually a little bit longerlast year or past in previous before COVID,
it was normally from the end ofMarch to September, and this year
it's from the ind of the Marchthe end of October, So our season

(02:57):
a little bit longer. We're kindof in the middle. That's season right
now, having an event every twotwo and a half weeks, three weeks,
and so these are the dog daysof the schedule. But you know,
it's it's definitely different than PGA Tourbecause we don't really they get to
pick and choose what events they're doing. If we're doing every event, every
event, we can try to makeit too, which is good. You

(03:20):
can plan out where you're going andall good stuff and travel and as we
know, I'm a travel expert,as we can tell by past a few
weeks. But it's good, butit's definitely different. You got to peak
at the right times and luckily startingto climb that mountain, hopefully peak in
October. Well, it sounds likeyou have a schedule of a PGA Tour
rookie because they really can't pick andchoose their schedule. But last, talk

(03:40):
about just the growth overall of longdrive. I mean, you and your
buddies, you guys really kind ofhave laid, uh, you know,
kind of the framework if you will, for the long drive. Talk about
the progression of a long drive andwhere it's at right now. I mean
it's like night and day since Igot into the sport, got into the
sport in two down seventeen and eversince it's really really grown. I do

(04:01):
say a lot of it as socialmedia driven. It's good that we can
get out there and people can see. And then COVID helped golf. We
all know that, So COVID helpeda lot of people get into the sport.
And that being said, when everybodygoes to play, what's their favorite
thing to do is send drivers,so so they rip into it. So
the growth of the game has definitelyhelped us. I think more people respect

(04:24):
us a little bit because they kindof going down a little rabbit hole trying
to hit the ball further and theykind of realized, hey, like,
you know, these guys are tweinga one hundred and fifty miles per hour
plots. It's a little bit differentthan these guys sweing one hundred and twenty.
So but mainly, you know, social media's really helped us out.
A lot of guys are out theredoing events like myself and just really kind
of pushed it. But I thinkit's more that people respecting golf and respecting

(04:46):
what we do a little bit more. Yeah, you know, it's funny,
and you feel free to take thisidea west. But I always thought,
like, we don't know what's goingto happen with LIV in a PGA
tour. But instead of haveing inLive right, golf but louder and all
that, Like, why not havea long, prolonged drive on the Thursday
before the outing instead of a proam right, Like, imagine that scene.
It would be incredible. I'm justgonna go on. I don't want
to tear you down here, buddy, But you don't think we haven't brought

(05:08):
that up a couple Luckily, Iknow a few of the people at Live
we've had that conversation. That conversationdidn't go any further than the initial conversation.
Shocked, man, that's a messthat would be So would you know
you want to do things different? That's it right there, man, have
that excitement in there. We'll speakingof Live. What was your reaction when

(05:30):
the news came down a couple ofweeks ago now that there was apparently some
sort of merger and I put thatin air quotes. I don't know if
that's the right word between them andthe PGA tour. Can can I plead
the fifth here? Am I allow, sure, No, Um, sadly,
I mean I saw it coming.I think most people saw it riding
on the wall. Um. Idon't want to go too far into you

(05:53):
know, speculation, but if Ihad the guests the PGA tour might have
been a little nervous for those bookstoo. But yeah, and and rightfully
so. Um, you know they'vebeen all for the game forever, but
being a five, one, threec or charity based tours, it's tough
to keep up with every dollars. So I'm sure they're a little nervous when
those books were open. Yeah.Yeah, we'll take a further look at

(06:15):
that five page framework agreement that wejust got a little peek into yesterday.
A little later on in the show. Yeah, absolutely, West talk about
you know, you face of theinjury, had have a surgery. Did
you have any learnings from that?Right? Do you have to change anything?
Did you pick up anything new oranything that actually helped you or will
help you in the long run.Um, I mean, I think,
honestly, there's not necessarily injury. When I came out of the injury,

(06:39):
I started gett into some bad habitsand started seeing some bad results, and
then I kind of seeked a littlebit more help than normally would have in
the past. I think I've gota little bit more older and mature,
so I've taked a little bit moreinformation out there and it's helped me,
you know, make a few changes. And you know, coming off an
injury, being out for a fewmonths, you kind of start with the

(07:00):
slate and you start trying to figureout what works again, and you know,
it's it's been good. I've startingto figure it out. But like
we all know this, Uh,when you get a golf club in your
hand, you never have it figuredout. Yeah, you gotta follow West
on Instagram at West Patterson Golf.Make sure you're following him. Um,
but tell us about how many eventsdo you do typically in a summer,

(07:20):
like the swing it and ding aFox Sports, the gamble routings. How
many of those kinds of things doyou do. I don't do as much
as I used to. I wouldprobably say back in the day, a
couple of years back before COVID,I was probably doing forty fifty events a
year. Wow. And they're fine, don't get me wrong, but they
are tough, tough on the body. So this year I think I'm around
twenty five, twenty twenty five, which is awesome, and I got luckily

(07:44):
involved in a lot of great causesand it makes it really really awesome to
be a part of. Especially theboys that swinging and ding. It excrdy
to get up there. Oh yeah, it's gonna be a great new course
this year too. So yeah, exactly, which makes the fairway well for
for the actual outing where you're gonnabe helping people send their drives. It's

(08:05):
kind of like a Harry, it'sfourteen basically where we stopped. Oh where
we stopped? Okay, yeah atthat. So it's a it's the reason
why I picked in How West Ireceived your rider. I know you need
a DJ, I know you needpromo models, I know you need cocktails.
Right, I have all that stufflined up. I've I've received,
I've talked to your management. Wehave it all covered. Don't worry about
it. Well, yeah, thegreen m and m's and all those other

(08:26):
things. I have those, um, but where it's where West is gonna
be set up, Harry, youcould picture that, right, Yeah.
You can see from the patio, you can see from five or six other
holes. We're gonna have DJ reachstreets out there again with Wes and that'll
also be where Tito's and Exfinity Liveare taking over the Putting Green with the
buckle Bunnies and everything else that's goingon. So it's gonna be a scene
right there. Absolutely show. We'regonna get Hey, We're gonna get a

(08:48):
track man out there today. Uhthis year too, to make sure people
can can challenge me, because that'swhat everybody does. Beautiful. What about
you, Well, buddy, we'regonna switch jobs for us today. You're
gonna do this? Well, youknow what kind of equipment are you typically
working? How many different lofts anddifferent shafts will you be bringing to this
event? I mean I'll bring afew. Luckily, this year I've changed.

(09:09):
I've been with Callowe in the past, and this year I've changed to
Cobra Puma, which has been anawesome, awesome change for me. They're
great and that's a little plugged forthem. But they have to rename your
dog though coming I think it's statuteof limitations. Calloway's name is standing Callaway.
Yeah, you know it's good enough, but um, yeah, I'll

(09:30):
bring a fuel will have you know. It's another thing method the madness and
long drive. A lot of guysare starting to go a lot weaker shafts.
Um. Still that I wanted toask you that I've noticed, like
see, you didn't see that inthe past couple of years. Now you're
seeing that kind of whip. Imean, the equipment itself has gotten so
good over the past couple of years. Um, you know, the method
behind it is the lower to CPM, which is weaker. The shaft is

(09:52):
the faster. Theoretically you can swingthe golf club. Now, is it
gonna be easier to deliver it theright way and center punch? It's right,
No, But we get we getfive Mulligan, so you know we
have to hit one house six.But um, you know I've been dying
to going down that rabbit hole alittle bit trying to figure out, you
know, a little bit weaker shaftand swing it faster. But I've come

(10:13):
back to my old self to needa little bit more stifford shafton and have
been hitting it better. So butwe'll bring a few out there. We'll
have a few extra long drivers forpeople to try out and have some fun
with it. As we're gonna dothe demo in the morning. Harry probably
on the range, I don't know. We got to see if Wescins send
it over the net or not.We might be able to hang angle him
though. And I think people lovethat last year or two years ago and
they got just to get it,you know, just see how he does

(10:35):
it, ask him some questions. So looking forward to that. Our friends
from Comcast business are involved in thatventure. So really looking forward to that.
I did an event, hate tocut you off, on Monday.
I was in Delaware, Wilmington, and somebody came up to me and my
whole not making this up the firstthing. Looked at me like why are
you here? And I'm like I'mhitting drives for it. You're like,
well, we should have brought BrandonMatthews. Yeah, looks like who's who's

(10:58):
Brandon Matthews. You don't know BrandonMatthews. I was like, no,
idea, never heard of him.All you hited further in you so likes
I'll look him up West. Greatgreat segment into when Brandon hit your driver.
You got to share that story foreveryone. Oh was it was it
Jacob? It was Jacobs. Yeah, we'll share that story though. Yeah,
we were at the event that thePress Golf that we ran a few

(11:18):
years back, and uh, andthe boys always uh, I want to
try the equipment. So Brandon Bradwanted Jacob Galladay Jesus a golf lawn driver
for see the swing's hard hand andsnapped it dead and half didn't even get
took it back. I think thevideo somewhere, there's definitely a video we

(11:39):
could probably pull up. Hilarious Brandonfirst time with a long driver's hand hit
at zero yards. We got toget one of those in Moose's hands.
I personally saw him clabbering drives lastweek at at this very golf course where
you're gonna be So we got tosee that onto other fairways. Hey there
was. It was on fairways andhe was playable, that's all it matters.

(12:01):
And it was a long way downthere, that's all. I got
one trick pony guy one. Butyou see West has that incredible logo on
his hat. It's one of thebest logos I think in golf right now.
And that is the Dormy Workshop.Make sure you're following at Dormy Workshop.
Head to their website so wes youwork with these guys. Right.
They started in twenty fourteen, twobrothers, Jeff and Todd Bishop and now

(12:22):
they've they're voted the best leather headcover by Golf Digest since twenty seventeen,
made all in house design, shippedall over the world. And you know
we talk about judges by the companywe keep right, these things are in
Seminole, they're in Saint Andrew's.Oh and if you notice brooks Kepka when
he won the PGA Championship, youwould have seen that logo on one of
his head covers. So great company. Talk about the work you do with

(12:43):
them, West, Well, Igot to start off with fear of the
cow man. That's what I like, the little half steck hear the cow.
But the boys, yeah, theBishops, they've been awesome to me.
Yeah, I met them last year. I've always noticed their stuff,
but met them last year really builta friendship. And I mean it's incredible
the time and effort where they builtthis thing. They're actually originally you know
PJ professionals in Canada played golf.I try to play professionally. There are

(13:05):
caddies down here in South Florida.Um, you know, they they've done
the grind and they figured it out. But you know they don't. They
don't use any shortcuts, man. They hit it, hit home, run
with it. They use the bestquality out there. They make sure every
piece they do is is unique andused to the best of their abilities to
do it. And it's you know, like you said, they're inseminal.

(13:26):
They're in sant Andrews. It kindof speaks for himself. And the cool
thing is they can do just aboutanything. You can customize from just a
head cover to a well. Igot a stash bag which I like to
call it to my purse, butstash bags you got. I mean,
they make everything, man, Andlike I said, they do the best
quality. They really enjoy what theydo and they put their heart and soul

(13:48):
in it. And it's a familycompany and they deserve every bit of it.
And I'm excited too. I know, last time we're on here,
I wouldn't sure if we start asyet, but I started a co founded
a golf FESTI full music, artfestival, party tour, and dormy workshop.
The bishops are coming in on thatas cope collaboration the next three events.
So they really turn into family andit's been really blessed to be working

(14:11):
with them. Tremendous. Yeah, great, guys. I work with Julian
over there, who's been fantastic,So their work is just tremendous and they're
helping us up for the outing. So the long drive champion for our outing
will get a custom twenty twenty threeSwing it and ding it out champion with
the belt on it. I mean, talk about that and West, So
we're actually doing We're gonna have threelong drive holes with prizes on each,

(14:31):
and then after those three who aresay it was two, because they're gonna
have a playoff for the final towin to get suited up in a custom
Robini suit and that dormy workshop headcover. That's gonna be tremendous. What if
the girl wins there, there's gonnabe a separate girl long drive, but
it's just one hole because there's onlylike four or five girls. Good question,

(14:52):
Danielle. Do I give Harry mycustom suit? I'll take it.
I need it for the next timeI'm on here. Presentable right? That's
right? Well, West, wedon't want to keep you forever. We
know you're busy, we know yougotta work on that swing. We appreciate
you coming home. Really looking forwardto see you in a couple of weeks.
Um. Well, obviously have youpop on when you get there,
Um, if you get there intime, if you're not stuck in an

(15:13):
airport or waiting for your bags orstaring or staring at people standing closer to
the luggage thing. Yeah, nowyou're getting fired up, man, you're
getting fired Follow along, follow alongon Instagram. It's a great follow goodness.
The closest you stand to the baggageclaimed, the faster bag comes out,
scientifically proven scientific and the and thequicker you get up on the plane

(15:37):
when the plane lands, the quickeryou're going to get out. Yeah,
yeah, the way front. Hedoesn't have to worry about that. And
you're finding up. They put youin the front of the plane. They
don't want you in the back. That's right, all right, West Patterson,
thank you, looking forward to seeingyou soon, and good luck with
your training and getting ready to senddrives all over the country here also love
it. Can't wait to get upthere, alright. Thanks West All.

(16:00):
Let's take a quick break and wewill be right back, all right,
and welcome back. Great to catchup with our friend Wes Patterson one of
the best follows on Instagram. Forlike, yes, seeing him sending drives
and stuff is incredible, but justlooking at his travel escapades, he documents
it pretty well. It's it's reallyfunny. And and our friends at the
Dormy Workshop who we work with,Wes who That's how we got got connected
with them. So it's the peopleyou meet in this in what we do

(16:23):
has been you know, tremendous. It's like you just keeps stacking up these
great contacts and great people and inthe end everyone just kind of works together,
right for a common cause. Soit's really good. But think about
the travel schedule for him, Imean he was what do you say you
did fifty events like ours last yearplus the long drive schedule. I mean
he's traveling around a lot, andit's not like something. It's not like

(16:44):
anyone's booking his travel like he's right, He's doing all his own booking and
everything right, So it is crazy. Travel has been a nightmare. If
you don't follow us, follow himand take a look. But literally the
past like four times I've flown, there has not been one flight that has
gotten out on time. That's whyI'm coming into town for our event,
like three days in advance, sowe're clear, we're good to go.
Nice, very nice. So KeeganBradley takes home the travelers. Yeah,

(17:10):
you forget. You forget about likehow long and how well he's played in
the past. Right, here's theguy. He's thirty seven years old.
Right, he's been on some Rydercups, but he's had some ebbs and
flows, just like a lot ofpeople do. But you know, he
sometimes he forget. I think he'sa lot younger than he is. But
um, you know, he getsthe three shot win. He shoots sixty
two, sixty three, sixty four, twenty three under two fifty seven,

(17:32):
a shot better than Kenny Perry andoh nine for the record at this event.
He faltered a little bit, right, He's glad he had that lead.
He Birdie's twelve to go five onthere, and then I think he
puts it in the water on thirteenfor a bogie Bog's fourteen and sixteen.
Ye. Right, So he's leakingoil coming in hair after taking par on
fifteen, which is one of youguys texted us that he's leaking oil.

(17:56):
Yeah, yeah, falling off.I'm like happening. Yeah, but well
it's funny because we were like, hey, he's a six shot lead.
It's over. Like it was almostlike, hey, let's make this more
interesting, right, so people tunein and wash right, because it was
getting like it was a drama freeSunday. And still he started making a
couple of boats and he stepped tothat seventeenth tea, which is kind of

(18:18):
a daunting tea shot with water alldown the right, and he striped it
and you could just see like sortof the weight come off his shoulders because
he knew, right then, allI gotta do is stick it on the
green on seventeen somewhere on the green, and this is over. Talk about
swinging your swing, Danielle, right, like we talk about coaches and teachers
or goo sometimes try to fit peoplein a box, like you couldn't teach

(18:40):
Kegan Bradlin Bradley swing or set upor anything like. It is so unique
it's it's I like watching it totally. He's very fidgety, you know,
and he's gotten better. Actually hehas to be more fidgety than he is
now. But he does that littlething where he twirls the club when he
set it up in the dress andhe was a driver and he's kind of

(19:00):
hunched over because he's kind of tall. And yeah, and how about his
kids getting trophies of their own greatwork out of the Travelers? And I
was like, oh, my goodness, what I need to know the story
that, Yeah, did they havethem like souvenirs? Maybe though they probably
have him in the shop place Winnermight have a kid or three. Let's
just got ten of them just incase. Well, it was weird because

(19:21):
on Saturday, Um, I waswatching it and when he finished his round
on Saturday, he sort of didlike a thing where the kids came out
and the wife came out, almostlike it was like, dude, this
isn't over yet. I knew yougot a big lead, but it's not
Sunday. He just sort of didit on Saturday too, you're right,
And if you're right, yeah Idid. I didn't think of it that
way, but now do you sayit. I'm like, yeah, yeah,

(19:44):
speaking about Saturday, you have talkingabout somebody making a charge just can't
lay. He shoots a sixty oneon Saturday and you know, talk about
it. He was at the topof the game. You know, a
year back right, and now he'sbeen a little bit off, but he's
coming around, coming into form, you know, obviously with Joe lacap on
the bag, and I'm impressive tosee him shoot takes one. I thought
he was going to really make arun and make a charge hair, Yeah,

(20:04):
so did I. I mean, you know, he plays really well
at that tournament a year and ayear out. But how about the big
names that missed the cut. Colinmorricow A, Max Homer, John Rom
Fleetwood, who I thought would playreally well coming off of what he did
at the US Open, see Woo, Kim, Billy Horschell, Matt Coucher
all missed cuts. And you know, when I think a lot of this,

(20:26):
I was talking to a couple ofbuddies about it. This elevated event
schedule is forcing these guys to playin a couple more events than they normally
would skip. And I think alot of these guys are gassed. I
really do. They just look gassed. And it's like, if I like
Rom, he's always gonna want tocompete even if he doesn't really want to
be there. But if he comesout on Thursday and doesn't have his A

(20:48):
or B game, I think theseguys are just fine with packing it in
on Friday and going home, gettinga couple of days rest. They don't
get fined, they don't lose pitmoney. You know, they I showed
up. I'm just here to soI don't get fine kind of a situation.
And if you know, if theyif they somehow find their game,
great, they're gonna they're gonna bein it. But if they don't,
you know, you need you needthe rest, you really do. We

(21:11):
saw Denny McCarthy, uh, Idon't know if you guys saw in his
Instagram story just laying in his poolon a little golf cart blow up,
floating and his Beyonce treated like muchneeded rust day. But I think a
lot of people don't realize we werejust talking about keeking coming down, sprang
it all over, being like wheelsfalling off, leaking oil, if you
will. People don't realize that adrenaline, the emotion, not only is it

(21:33):
physically and mentally, just that adrenalinegoing through what that takes out of your
body. They are gas. There'smany events that they have to play in.
It's it's a wild your boy Rorywasn't too complimentary on the golf course.
What do you think about that?It wasn't no, I mean,
yeah, he played well. Youknow, he played well enough where he
could have gotten himself back in themixed to win. I mean, you

(21:56):
know he drove it three plus yards. Yeah, said it was a little
too easy. You know, ofcourses like this might have been passed by.
Right, it's set up too hard, then it's the problem with it.
I don't know, but had listen, you're in a sleep well tonight.
You know why was Rory and Sergiohave patched things up? Their friends
again? They are in the world. When did this happen? It just

(22:18):
breaking? News is breaking breaking?Yeah, they patched things up. You
know. I know that. Iknow that you will actually sleep really well
tonight having that news. H Sergiojust said he's just happy to have his
friend back. Oh wow, Well, you know, Ryder Cup season is
upon us, so I think thatmight have something to do with it.
Let's let's make amends with one ofthe most popular players on the tour and

(22:42):
happens to be the you know, the ambassador really of the European team,
because Sergio is going to need tobe a captain's pick. Ye oh,
yeah, yeah, I can't waitto see how this all plays out.
I know, I really can't.And it's like, you know, Danielle,
we talked a little bit about tolive in the PGA, and I
think you have some info on that, hopefully, because I can't understand it.

(23:03):
It just seems to be like awhole lot of nothing, right.
It seems to be all these meetingsbut no real details come out about this.
Yeah, it really I tried tokind of condense it and put it
into layman's terms, if you will. So we got a first look at
the five page framework agreement signed bythe PGA Tour and the PIF which essentially
is set to change the structure ofmen's professional golf as we know it,

(23:25):
which me saying that that sounds waymore groundbreaking and like we have all these
updates and we finally have a betterunderstanding of what's going on. But really,
to me, anyway, the wayI interpreted it wasn't anything. It's
everything we had previously heard that wasin the deal is in fact in the
deal. Missing details are still missing. So basically we have an update of
what they're written framework looks like, and we also know that there's a lot

(23:48):
to yet still be decided. Somy key takeaways were, there are no
valuations or specifics on what's been agreedto, the new general board structure and
expectation of Saudi funding for they callit new Co. Hoping it's not,
yes, the new company. I'massuming, um that that's what it is.
They're all in there, but thisis stuff again that we've already heard.

(24:10):
So essentially, it's two sides expressingfor what I interpret it is their
desire to not want to spend legalmoney or risk further collateral damage and doing
so essentially deciding let's just put thisinto place and we'll figure out figure it
out later. So it's kind ofgiving pre settlement or like ceasefire vibes to
MEUM. So going a little bitmore on and I know this is all
jargon and kind of boring, butum, essentially, let's stop fighting and

(24:36):
here's a general outline, so specificsare filled in. UM, it's just
once a DOJ puts this through, like the antitrust ringer, it could look
way different than what we're seeing inthis five page agreement. But for now,
again, hasty agreement to stop fightingwith the general outline. UM,
of the future to cooperate and somehowhave structure. There's a line about making

(24:57):
a good faith effort to secure UMWorld Golf ranking recognition for live players,
which would not be very useful iflives ceases to exist, but we'll see.
And then there's no talk about howlive players are going to be reintegrated.
That's not addressed at all. Andit's also not addressed how players of

(25:19):
prominence who passed up the live cash. That's also not addressed. Yeah,
the loyalist there's no that's also notaddressed. So again, the most that
I could get out of it waslike, hey, let's just we don't
what like West was saying, wedon't want anybody looking in our books.
This is costing us so much moneyin legal fees. There's lawsuits all over
the place. Let's just say, let's agree to not disagree for the time

(25:42):
being. And that's basically all Igot out of it. So I don't
know if you guys got something different, But what go ahead moves, Well,
like a couple of times they purposelybecause you know, the biggest complaints
were we didn't know about any ofthis, Right, we're supposed to be
a player. Rand league we didn'tknow about. So there was a couple
of lines in the air about it'llgo before the player's advisory board, right,

(26:03):
it'll go before the players for review, Like they put that in there
purposely because I'd know that that's whatpissed most players off. Right. Yeah,
And the anti trust or according tosome a black letter anti trust violation
was Jay Monahan saying taking a competitoroff the board comment, So that could
have been an off the cuff error, which is bringing more scrutiny, more

(26:23):
questions and making his case harder toargument, harder to argue that this agreement
is simply one party taking on investmentfrom another for the benefit of all and
to improve the game for players andfor those who want to see it.
They get to see all the bigplayers all in one place. But when
saying we're taking competitor off the board, yeah, yeah, yeah, they're

(26:45):
still I mean, the dal Jayis definitely going to look into this,
I'm assuming, And what most ofgolf Twitter is saying was there also some
clause in there that said something inthe order that you can no longer disparage
the Saudis and there that was huge, Right, So there was a disparity
disparity clause in there, which isin every contract. Right, if you're

(27:07):
working for a company, you can'tbash them. But there was a gray
area because it basically is the Saudigovernment in the end. Right, It's
not like you know, you can'tbash the fund or live it's it's the
Kingdom of Saudi Arabias. So withall these, you know, with the
human rights nine eleven violations, like, it's gonna be slippery slope for a
lot of it. So what isBrandal going to talk about and what is

(27:29):
Aimon going to write about? Well, that's what Aim was talking about,
following exactly yes before No and andSB Like their headline I think was like
am Aiman Lynch runs over Patrick Cantletwith a bus or something was the headline
to it, because Aman has justbeen going in. But if you know,

(27:49):
it's obviously, um, we wantobjective journalism, but if you want
at least one view of it inone standpoint, take a look at Aiman
Lynch and see at the coverage he'sdoing. Because definitely one perspective, um
that you can get from this.Oh yeah, yeah, more to come,
more to come. Yeah, Iheard your inside stuff that I'm just

(28:10):
I truly think that the team aspectis something that is the main focus of
all this, and I think that'sgoing to stay, even if it's like
maybe there's a team event during andI don't know, like, I don't
see that going away. There's toomuch with it invested, with these goofy
names that some of them have andsponsorships and all that. I just I
don't see that going away. Yeah, it'll be interesting. And also there's

(28:33):
definitely I mean, this is justmy perspective, like a chip on the
shoulder of what is it, yourmajesty, what do we call him?
Your excellence? Yea, his entireteam, like all of that. When
the Live and BJ tour merger,if you will, first leaked, there
was inside documentation from all the Liveemployees that was leaked as well, where

(28:57):
they took it as a win. They're like, wow, this only took
us less than two years. Wedidn't think this was going to happen.
But in the beginning they were like, wow, maybe we don't move forward.
We're not getting as many players. And they just said, you know
what, spend all the money, get all the best players. Let's just
do this and threaten them and sointernal conversations where essentially is like, ha,
we won and it took us lessthan two years. So that's all

(29:18):
over golf Twitter. But it's crazylooking at the different viewpoints and how this
is all all playing out. Butessentially we get this league and it's like,
oh, golf news and you youknow, I had to spend forty
five minutes We're reading through the dockand I'm like, we really don't know
anything more, right, what didwe really learn here? Yeah? Okay,
so it's an agreement not to fightand not talk about them and not

(29:41):
spend any more money. Yeah, crazy Harris speaking of his excellency even on
the Mike Miss podcast this week. How about that? Yeah, Jason Mertitas
and myself we're guests of Mikey Missand thanks to him for having us on.
But I'd say I just squeeze inat the very end of our episode.
I shoehorned it in, as youput it, and it's exactly what
it was that. You know,we're doing this swing It and Ding It

(30:03):
podcast. I've been doing it forover three years. I thought I was
going to get teed up for it, literally, but that didn't happen.
You know, give the podcast oneon one. You know, we're always
saying, hey, follow Harry May'sapp you know, yeah, well yeah,
and his producer Darren Degatano, tohis credit, you know, the
day before, said hey, everythingelse you guys want to promote. So

(30:25):
I told him about it, youknow, so I know he had it
there. Yeah. But when thegirls get talking, you know, our
friend, our friend Alex Loan fromfrom the Legacy Club who you met last
week. Harry was listening and hecaught that too. He's like, man,
I'm glad Harry stuffed that in there. Yeah. I'm like, oh,
yeah, got Danielle. I thinkit was punishment, right, because

(30:47):
you know, we don't want Harryto have too much practice on the Legacy
Club before you. So we tryto get out for a round zero raining
the forecast. Our friend John Clarkis joining us, and my buddy Mike
Fascuos. We have a great person. It rained off. Harry always says,
hey, if there's some place thatyou want zo zero, do not
invite me. And it was freezingfree Not only was it raining, which

(31:10):
I can handle. The rain.Come up with a nick jame for you,
like the cloud, the black storm. You guys didn't get any Yeah,
chance of rain shows up and itstorrential downpours. It was awful.

(31:33):
I mean, you know, Ifelt bad because I'm like, I actually
did bring this today. But wedid get through thirteen and like Moose said
when we had West on where wefinished it, part three, thirteenth is
kind of a really cool hole withthe with the green raised way above the
tea and then you come up thehill and there you are back at the
clubhouse and that's where West is gonnabe. And Moose is tell me,

(31:53):
now, DJ me streets. Youknow it's gonna be over here and it's
gonna be mayhem at that at thatspot on the bologeeze and absolutely zero alcohol.
I'm sure right. My line forthis outing is this is going to
be the most fun outing you've playedin. It's not going to be the
fastest, So buckle Lynn, Harry. I actually just had a foursome drop

(32:14):
out and like, I'm so happybecause because we have a waiting like people
too. Yeah, everyone keeps askingme and I'm like, guys, I
put it all out there, likeyou guys, everyone thinks. Yeah,
So we're talking about the you know, upcoming event and I told Gabby,
I said, look, we needto get on it. So we're gonna

(32:36):
start hitting up turtles seven am.Because I was like, man, by
the time I get done work,I can't get there. I can't hit
balls. Like what's going on?Friends like they open it seven and I'm
like, so we're now going tobe going there seven am. So maybe
we'll put some videos up on theswinging and dingan instagram of us up,
you know, up early in themorning practicing. But Gabby had a groundbreaking
question. She's like, what isthe theme? What are we wearing?

(32:58):
I was like, Gabby, thisisn't a theme. This is raising money
for good goals and having fun.Well, you're groping along with Russ.
Hard tongue is in high demand.I was getting texts this morning with guys
trying to get in there. Itected Russ and I was like, I
was like, they were trying totake you from me for the outing.
He's like he's like, meaning likeplay with another group. And then he's

(33:21):
like, I know, Jim,remember at DZC. He's like good buddies
with Harry. But I was like, they were trying to poach you.
But yep, I was like,I hadge and stay on. Moose came
in with the same He's like,I gotcha, har Yeah, So Harry,
that thirteenth hole is going to bethe mal Chevrolet hole in one.
That is going to be so toadd to everything else we have going on

(33:42):
at that time, at the topis going to be a twenty twenty three
Silverado just sitting there staring at you. Oh awesome. It's a great hole
too. I put it and justmissed the green and the right green side
bunker. But it's a it's aheck of a hole. And you talk
about a heck of a dealership. For eight years in a row, now,
maul Chevrolet has been South Jersey's numberone one Chevy dealer. Now,
it could be because they treat theircustomers just right. That's why Mal Chevy

(34:04):
was voted a top one hundred dealerin the entire country for customer satisfaction.
But I still think it's because oftheir motto, we sell Chevies for less.
It's that simple. Find your perfectdrive at mal Chevrolet. Visit mal
Chevrolet on Haddonfield Road right in CherryHill, across from the Cherry Hill Mall,
or online at Mal Chevy dot com. Find your perfect drive at Mauls
Chevrolet and mal Chevy dot com. Now, how far this part three that

(34:30):
you have the chance to win seventymaybe yeah, well it's it's got it's
got to play. One ninety fivemen, one eighty women. Okay for
the insurance. Yeah, yeah,so you're gonna have that, right,
I can't even touch on them all. You're gonna have the pizza Hut two
man chippin putt at the end, which is going to be I think the

(34:51):
way that I'm gonna do it nowis so the top ten finishers plus ties,
we'll be able to sign up inteams of two to complete in the
pizza hut. Two manships. Oneguy chips, one guy puts. Yeah.
I think you know, instead oflike having the winner or if there's
ties, get something like that's goingto do and the two people that prevail

(35:12):
are each each going to get atrip for two to Costata Campo. Oh
wow, no way. Speaking ofwhich, great segment into our winners that
are there right now. Ben's thereright now one our contest. He's loving
it. He's sending me more pictures. I mean, the place is great.
I'm like I need to go here. Yeah, we gotta go.
We all have to go. Yougotta do a trip, which it is
tremendous looking forward to Another place Iwant to get back to is Pebble Beach.

(35:35):
That's my number one Um. Iwent there on my honeymoon. I
didn't play, but I didn't playthough. I had a brunch there and
it was right when we were kindof forming the podcast and I was getting
more into golf, and I'm like, this is it. This is like
my number one course. I haveto play this one day now. I
Heeart does a client event there everyyear. I had some of my sellers.
You have to have at least threefrom your market who have the spend
level to go. So my sellersthey know that this needs to happen.

(35:59):
Get the whip out there. Yeah, yeah, what do you think of
it? We had the Women's USOpen out there Pebble, So, I
mean, the women's game is onfire right now, especially for stars.
Rosebuds is that what we're calling them? Yeah? I heard that the Rosebuds
was. They asked her where itcame from. She's like, I didn't

(36:20):
make this up. Some drunk guywas screaming on the side, She's like
Yo, Rosebuds. So now herher cult following is Rosebuds. But talk
about this. She wins her firstpro tournament, finishes top ten in her
first major. So I mean,if there's anyone to keep your eyes on
at the US Open, is itnot Rose Hair. I know you're I
had her women's top ten last weekat plus two hundred, to be honest,

(36:44):
but her roaning yin was at anothertwenty year old superstar who ended up
winning last week. That's her secondwin on the LPGA Tour. Young girl
from China. Um, you know, really fun to watch. I mean
I was watching it because they wereat Baltict Rawl and you know, it's
a major and I like watching, you know, the women play golf.
But what an event. I've actuallywatched a little bit more of that than

(37:05):
I did the vent in Connecticut,to be honest, because there wasn't a
lot of drama. Yeah yeah, looking forward to that. I do want
to talk about just one thing realquick. Taking it back. I saw
this tweet and maybe it's slightly skewednow, but my boy, chef Scotty
Chefler is now two hundred and threeshots under par this year. That's forty

(37:29):
eight shots better than any other playeron tour. That's a wild that's absolutely
wild. The chef's been cooking worldnumber one. That'll do it. That'll
do it. All right, let'stake another quick break. We'll be right
back to take a look at theRocket Mortgage Classic. All right, and
welcome back as we take a lookat the Rocket Mortgage Classic. Not an

(37:50):
elevated event, but still a bigevent. You have eight of the top
thirty. You have number nine,Max Homa, number fourteen, Tony Fenwe
who's defending as a favorite at plusfourteen hundred, and another favorite with him,
which is interesting at plus fourteen hundred, and Ricky Fowler in Detroit,
the Detroit Golf Club North Course. This replaced the Quicken Loans event. Of
course, Donald Ross Course with rootsback to nineteen sixteen. You know,

(38:15):
the guys can take advantage of thiscourse. It's it's definitely a driver's course.
They had Bryson win Fenale. WhenBryson and Fenale won, they gained
over five strokes off the teeth orin their winning week. So there's four
par fives too. Yeah, yeah, twenty two under last year won it.
But there's also about putting on thiscourse, so interesting to see.
What do you guys think about this? One's Harry, I'll start with you,
and then Danielle. Good you becauseI know you have some info on

(38:36):
the course itself some of the issues. I know, daniel get to that.
But this course has a lot ofhistory. I mean, you can
talk about Donald Ross, you thinkabout you know, the Ford Motor Company
and all you know, all thepeople that belonged at this place over the
years. And guess who was amember. Kid Rock is a member of
the Detroit Golf Club. And ArethaFranklin apparently lived her house was off of
like the Seventh Green or something, and apparently penned some of her greatest music

(39:00):
inside that house that's right off thegolf course. So it's a pretty cool
and it's flat too. This isa it's almost like a Florida golf course,
an old school Florida golf course transportedinto the Midwest. So no,
up, not a lot of crookedlies. I'd probably like to play this
golf course. But but yeah,a lot of big names you mentioned them,
and it's not an elevated event. So I got to watch out because

(39:22):
some of these guys like I talkedabout, might be looking for the weekend
off. It's a really tough thingto bet this time of year. We
still have a major left. You'vegot the Scottish Open, which guys like
to get over there a week inadvance to get used to the time change
and everything, so they're gonna beplaying in that too, and then you
got the playoffs right around the corner. So I really got to be wary.

(39:42):
But one guy that definitely needs abig week, and he came off
a big showing last week, isJT. His game. He you know
they were talking about on the broadcast, he might have found something. Look
out and he would need a winhere along with Ricky Fowler, who I
knew everybody's gonna take Like Ricky Fowleris going to be probably the most rostered
guy you know in this entire field, so watch out with that. But

(40:05):
JT. He was T nine lastweek, including a sixty two on Saturday.
He has no course history here, but two of the four previous winners
had none either, and JT hasthree wins in his career on courses that
he saw for the first time.I don't think that's going to be an
issue, Yes, and I'm takinghim in my one and done, so

(40:27):
it probably means he will miss thecut. But plus eighteen hundred to win,
I'm gonna take JT and we cankeep going with some other guys.
I accept Straka as kind of anoutlier guy at plus forty five hundred to
win. You mentioned fee. Nowhe's going to defend. I think he
wants to be here. Plus onesixty five for a top ten. Aberg,
I'm two for two with my manAberg plus two twenty five in a

(40:51):
top twenty. And Gordon's sergeant, the long hitter from Vanderbilt. Interesting stat
here. He has sixteen points alreadyand you need twenty to earn your tour
card through the accelerated college program thatthey have. I did this research.
You need twenty by the end ofyour third year of eligibility in college.

(41:13):
He qualifies for that. He's gotan exemption this week and an exemption next
week at the John Dear. Hecould lock this down. So I'm going
to take him in top thirty atplus one ninety Gordon sergeant from Vanderbilt.
Wow, I like it. We'llcontinue to see the line after this.
But Danielle, what are you hearingwe had Brandon's in the field obviously,
so you know, is he upthere yet, and what's going on up

(41:35):
there with some of the weather they'vehad. Yeah, he's up there.
He Actually, all the courses areclosed down here in Florida right now,
just punch greens and you know they'reclose for summer to get them back in
condition. So no place to play, so he flew up to Chicago to
get some practice in. Was tryingto fly into Detroit Sunday night, and
similar to our friend Wes Patterson whojoined us earlier, he was delayed,

(41:57):
delayed, delayed. There was alltypes of storms they couldn't get out.
He finally landed in Detroit eleven pmon Sunday and gets a text first thing
Monday morning. The only holes availableto play at the course are eleven through
eighteen. Tornado had came through thearea, didn't hit the course, but
such bad weather there were trees downeverywhere. So finally the course was opened

(42:20):
back up yesterday, but they hadto do some quick cleanups there, get
all the trees, picked up,all the debris, everything else. So
Brandon also mentioned there was a littlebit of smoke from the wildfires coming down
as well, so a little bitof funky weather going on, but it
seemed to have all been clearing up, and he said it was somewhat of
a decent day by the end ofthe day yesterday, So we'll see what

(42:40):
that looks like. I was atthis event last year. The course is
great, Harry kind of gave agreat preview of it, but you know,
we'll have to see as long asthe weather stays away, both the
smoke and tornadoes and the rest ofthat. Like you said, it's the
four par fives. Say that fivetimes. Yeah, it is. It

(43:01):
is a big editor's course. Yeah, yeah. And I sent a tweet
out this morning just recognizing our CrownsCrew, our superintendents, are our maintenance
workers of these courses, because we'vebeen getting hit with storm after storm every
night. And uh, you know, you put that tea in the ground,
Harry on one. There's a lotthat went into getting that that course
cleared for you to be able toplay her around. So you know,

(43:22):
as many times we could give thoseguys and gals kudos, we will do
it on this podcast because they dothe best. I'll show you send a
tweet out too, Yeah, onthe swinging and ding it and I retweeted
it because you're You're absolutely right.Yeah, got my Twitter game up.
But I'm like, yep, yep, I want to continue to see line.

thousand and then Chris Kirk, whoplays really well on Donald Ross courses.
He's had a T twenty one orbetter the past three years. Here,
I'm gonna take him in a topten at eleven hundred. I can't touch
Ricky at that number at fourteen hundred. So that's about it for my seat.
The line, Yeah, I'm gonnatake eck Rote over Harmon in a
matchup that I like it. Ilove it all right, guys, Listen,
