(00:25):
swing and ding it. Yeah, you know, just guess it's going to
go out there and try to swingit and ding it. All right,
Hello and welcome to Swing It andDing It and iHeartMedia podcast. This is
Moose along with Harry Mays, andwe are sponsored by our friends at Comcast
Business introducing Ultimate Speed for Business, the fastest Internet plans yet for Comcast Business,

(00:46):
Powering Possibilities, and they help powerour golf out in which we're going
to get into in detail. Ithink we have to break it down after
math down. Yeah. Also ourfriends at Tracking Sportsbook where we see the
line and also another spot I thinkall Access GT who were giving out a
trip give it up a trip toIreland and it was close. We'll talk
about that later too, because theguys that were working it were like your

(01:07):
boy GAINO might be on the hookhere. This is this is this.
This is a gettable hole here.So I was I was hoping he would
have to go to the while. But he's safe for one more year.
But again about it was about onefifty, wasn't it. Yeah, pretty
good, pretty good pin placement. But yes, we have to thank the
Legacy Club first and foremost our sponsors, I mean our sponsors, our hosts

(01:30):
who always put on a great event. I mean, it's funny from from
last year. I remember everyone waslike, you know, love the course,
but it was still kind of underconstruction some areas. This year,
all that was was done. Wewere able to take advantage of the AH
room and the place just just especiallywith as hot as it's been to the
course was in great shape. Yeah, it was a scorcher on Monday for
sure. But I got to tellyou, can we have a little some

(01:53):
kinder pin placements for the event nextnext season. Some of those were really
brutal, like some of the parfives, like number four with that front
pin and then number seven the parthree with the back right tucked pin.
I almost made it. I almostmade a hole in one there. I
hit the berm of the right bunkerand it went right past. Well,

(02:14):
why would you want the pin move? Then I was the only one in
my group and I went last.I was right. I was way far
right, I think. I thinkwhen you have an outing of our size,
the supers get very protective of theircourse. And let's put this in
a place where the memories usually don'twalk right exactly, We're going to really
mess with these guys. The eighteenpin. We had to set that there

(02:36):
because we knew we were going tohave the chip off after and that was
the best way to kind of havethe chip off so that I mean,
listen, I don't care where youput the pin on eighteen. Oh yeah,
it's not easy. We were farleft. We probably had about I
mean, we weren't close thirty fivefeet and the break on that putt from
left to right was about ten feet, no joke. Two of us came
up close, but none of usobviously made the birdie. Yeah, we

(02:59):
didn't make any. Are they anybirdies? Now? You got to make
birdies in that thing, man, there's some shooters in there for sure.
But uh, the magical meal foundation. You know the kind of the reason
why we do this, right thatyou know that our folks were extremely generous
right, And I think that's kindof the way we set it up.
Right. We have incredible sponsors andwe're going to talk about a bunch of

(03:20):
them that we're fortunate enough that covera lot of the stuff that we do.
I mean there's stuff going on prettymuch on every whole swag bags,
lunched and everything that we do beverages, so that allows us to you know,
you go to these outings where whereyou're going to the wild every five
minutes for something else, and that'sjust not what we do because of the
sponsors we have. But the factthat guys checked in at registration and bought

(03:43):
merch maybe just made a donation wasreally awesome. So we raised over ten
thousand dollars for the Magical Meal Foundationthrough the outing. So very proud of
that and proud of the work theydo and to be associated with those that
team awesome. Yeah, right, such a tremendous outing. Where do we
start? How about we start withWes Patterson and Mike Mnavian. It's funny

(04:06):
I play with those guys on Sunday. We'll talk about that. It's a
different game when you play with thoseguys. It's not the same sport.
That we play, but uh,due West sent one for our group that
was probably ten yards off the green. Yeah same here yeah, front right,
like it was about maybe fifteen yardsshort of the green. It was
unbelievable. And that was the firstone he hit. He hit one really,

(04:30):
it went to like fifteen yards shortright of the green. It was
something we were like, you can'tdo any better than that, Kenny,
He goes, now, you're good. It's fun. It's fun watching the
watching him hit. I think that'sa huge part of the outing every year,
right, the guys on the range, you know, watching him do
it and then seeing it on anactual golf hole that you get to hit

(04:51):
bef either before or after and belike, oh god, you think you
hit the ball far, but it'sno, I don't think. I don't
think I hit the ball. Buthe's got some people to six degree Cobra
driver. I was looking at thehead and then he's got those big grips
on it like Bryce and to Shampa. Oh yeah, yeah, it's got

(05:11):
a lot of whip to it.That thing too, right, you know
you think of the shift. Yeah, yeah, So it's funny. I
hadn't met Mike the day before andhe was he was supposed to go to
Scotland. So Mike's a teacher coach. He's Alex check as coach. He
works with Darren Clark on his puttery. We're supposed to go to Scotland.
He was on his way down fromor up from Firestone. I don't know

(05:33):
what. He travels around, youknow, coaching and teaching. And he's
like, I'm available tomorrow. I'mlike, come on, man, we'll
put you to work. So weput him on a whole number five that
was sponsored by Galatti Brothers, youknow, Shorter Shorter part three, and
he was like, you know, four feet eight feet, twelve feet ten
feet Like everyone I talked to,he's just like, just put that ball

(05:53):
right there. And he's friends withSteve Saraki, who's a coach at the
Legacy Club. So it was greatto have those guys out. Just it's
a really cool element when you getto see those guys hit a ball.
Yeah. I mean apparently he workswith quite a few players on the PGA
Tour champions He was rolling out,you were rolling out some of those names.
I mean there's a big time players. Yeah, and I think he's
thinking about maybe trying to join himselfby himself. I think he's in his

(06:16):
late forties, and yeah, he'sthinking about if his game's there, he
might go for it. Why not. It'd be awesome to see that.
Yeah, it would be great. The Tito's Bar is always a big hit,
Harry, big hit. Yeah,I mean that's it's perfectly placed.
You could get to it from acouple different holes, right, Yeah,
and yeah on a day like thatwhen it was very hot, it was

(06:38):
great to have some refreshments out onthe course. Absolutely. That was my
second hole of the day, thetenth hole, and the whole group of
us imbibed a couple of transfusions.I had the Tito's and Club with a
little lime and hit the spot. And then we caught him back after thirteen
green. Could she come right throughthere again? We're like, Eh,
the Tito's Bar, let's go.How about our girl Cara who sang in

(07:03):
the national anthem? I mean majorshould have made a call. Oh my
god, yeah killed. I listenedto that that horror show at the home
run derby that night, and I'mlike, man, they should next year.
They got to get car of it. She was fantastic. She crushed
it. Yeah, and she camein hot. She's texting me, She's
like, I don't know if I'mgonna make it right. At twelve,

(07:27):
I'm asking around if anyone's got pipeson them that can help us out and
step in. There were no takers, just so you know, all these
brave guys we played golf with, there was not everyone was duck in.
My question, can anyone get upthere and belt out the national anthem?
But uh, that certainly sets thetone for us for sure. Uh.
I kind of Candy, who wasa sponsor this year, great setup.

(07:49):
Uh, you know, gave awaythat the trip to Costada Campo. I
mean, Russ Hartungue just should comewith a shopping bag when he comes to
No. I mean the guy justcleans up right, like we got a
suit last year trip. This yearthey won the chip off and yeah,
membership to Lulu, right, friendJohn Rusk, who's playing some really good

(08:09):
golf right now too. How aboutJohn Rusk and the gap event over at
apple Brooks. He's tied for thelead, I believe going into day two.
He looks good out there too.Man. I saw him, you
know, up there against those youngkids. Yeah, and Braydon Shaddocks in
there too. Yeah, you knowhe was putting played in some tour events.
Yeah, great, great, greatgroup. Yeah. So he Russ

(08:31):
gets the the membership to Lulu, which is awesome. The Angelo's pizza closest
to the closest to the pizza. It's funny. I get up there with
like because taller Rita, Dave andMichael and John Clark and all those guys
were in front of us, andthey're they're like debating, you know,
because for them, some of thoseguys, they can hit it long and

(08:52):
they're like, oh, we're gonnahit it way past that pizza. I'm
like, do you want to bea big shot and and this is not
the longest drive hole? Or doyou want for PiZZ upstairs at Angela's.
That's a decision, that's a personalchoice you're gonna have to make, you
know what I'm saying, Like yougot to hit a target or do you
want to just be long again likeyou are on every hole? You know?
So, but I think the slicewas further out this year it was
last year. Yeah, we putit a little bit farther out, maybe

(09:13):
about fifteen yards or so, fifteentwenty yards. You're right, you don't
miss the trick, no man, nothing, take it up. Yeah,
but it's fun. I'm emailing alot of the folks now because you know,
a lot of the tickets, concerttickets, Eagles tickets are all digital,
So just fun emailing with some ofthe winners. The long drive was

(09:35):
awesome. I mean the finals.Walter Blum, who's a caddy down a
Galloway, who just absolutely annihilates theball. I saw where our guy,
you know, we were the secondgroup out. Anthony Pascatto hit a bomb
on two, and I'm like, you got a good chance to keep this.
Tony and Nino Camarada, my friend'sTerra Nova. Nino hits it had

(09:56):
to be fifty yards past where Anthony'sand I played Legacy obviously a couple times
a week, and I don't rememberever seeing a ball where his ball was.
I'm like, oh, he's gotit in the bag. Walter Blum
put it past him, and thatwas on two. That's where he That's
what he got, That's where hegot it. But you know, we
start to playoff on fourteen each threeguys Don Melcurie, Dan Smith, Walter

(10:22):
Blum all hit two balls out.No one keeps it in the fairway,
and we're thinking, like, allright, that's not maybe the straightest hole,
so we move over to ten.Walter Blum he just went off of
the green, but Frankie from theclub said he drove. He literally rolled
up onto the green on ten, which is insane, insane. But Dan

(10:43):
Smith kept it in the fairway andwas way out there as well. So
that was a lot of fun.I'm thinking about maybe next year, like
having people enter somehow to be fedup and make that a bigger long drive
contest, so like maybe you donateto the charity, maybe something in the
beginning where you can qualify, sonot just the three long drive holes,
but maybe like a couple other qualifiersbecause everyone loves that, right, everyone

(11:05):
loves that part. And the Robiniesuit is goes back on the championship belt,
the dormy workshop gear which people love. Yeah, the head covers,
head covers, yeah they were sweet. Yeah, Yeah, that was incredible.
And your friend Leslie yeah, LeslieCallahan, Yeah, drains the putt
well. First of all, thatwas that was a tough putt that they
rolled out there for the qualifier, right, there were only six people that

(11:30):
made that one guy had to leaveand then you know the qualifier, one
round goes through, everyone misses it. Yeah, and then a lot of
people coming up short not Leslie,no, no, no, that ball
might have gone off the green ifit didn't hit the hole. She gets
out there barefoot and just rams thething in. So she's going to the

(11:50):
Eagles home opener for the butt.Yeah, and find skip the Line pass
which is gold. Well that's thatis gold. Yeah, no doubt about
it or the football season. Ourfriends from the Kibbits Room, they called
out the lunch, incredible lunch.Stay tuned. They're opening up another location.
We're gonna we're gonna help those guysout when it's closer to the time
out in North Wales. So reallyexcited about that. And I mean Tone

(12:13):
Wood who helped us out in somecases, river Horse who was out there,
you know, had to stay hydratedout there on number five and they
helped us. Miller Lite, ArnoldPalmer spiked. He had Santa Familia Tequilia
tequila at the end, which wastremendous. That watermelon drink watermelon rapefruit in

(12:35):
there or something. It was reallygood. Yeah, to the point where
the legacy clubs like, hey,can we talk to them? We want
to get them, you know, involved in our locations. That's that's how
that's how good it was. Youknow. Brian Dale from the Dout team,
a great real estate agent over here, had the Union League National was
one of the prizes for the forthe Long Drive, which is awesome.
We had Country Club of Scranton. We had Seaview. Alex McCann always helps

(12:56):
us out every year, so bigthanks to him. We talked about Parks
Casino and the uh oh we don'tWe talked about it. I think before
we got on about the comedian slashVan Trilloquist. Oh yeah, the back
Off Challenge Back Off Challenge with JohnPease and he had some guys backing off.
Unfortunately we missed it. He hadalready he had already taken off by
then. I think we were oneighteen Green and he was packing up.

(13:18):
I'm like, oh no, maybehe's not going to get to break my
buddy's balls. But I heard hewas great, and the cool part was
we had him on number one, which was also where the chip off with
Gerhard's the qualifier where people got tochip into a dryer, which come to
find out the way to do itwas to bounce it in. That's what
won it in the end. Everyonewas trying to dunk it in because it

(13:39):
was not a top load. Itwas a front load, Harry, you
had to hit a line drive. But the folks from Gerhards were out there
with us. It was a lotof fun on that hole. So,
I mean, perfect hole for himto rose because he got the roast you
twice basically, once when you hityour chip into a dryer, and then
once when you hit your ball offa one, so he had no shortage
of material. Well yeah, I'msure. I'm sure he went through it.
But I'll tell you that was alot farther of a chip than Rory

(14:03):
McElroy did on that television show.I'm telling you Rory mckal was like six
feet from the dryer. This look. This was about ten fifteen yards.
Oh man. But it was alot of fun, a lot of fun
if the guys from Rita's were outthere. Yeah, yeah, I mean,
just just a blast. It washot. You know, I'm really

(14:24):
thinking about a fall outing next year. It's been hot two years in a
row, but this year was adifferent level. Yeah, this year this
year, it was like, youknow, high nineties and humid. Yeah,
Like I felt bad that the guysfrom Brewerytown Chiropractic were out there and
they had this spot set up inthe shade. But even that, man,
I'm like, oh god, yourpoor table, it's gonna be uh,
You're gonna have to squeegee that off. But they didn't care. They

(14:46):
were helping people out and people lovethat. Man, little little adjustment before
you play by the guys from BrewerytownChiropractic, which was awesome. Yeah.
Day like that is like you're seeingpeople drive their carts and all these mysterious
players, Like what are they doing? Trying to find shade? See card
underneath. You know, you mightnot be maybe right next to the tee
or near the cart path, butyou're in the shade. That was a

(15:09):
gotta find that piece of shade. But yeah, we can't thank everyone enough
for participating, for sponsoring, foryou know, for for helping us pull
it off. It was awesome. And the planning starts for next year.
Yeah, a great job out ofyou and your entire crew, the entire
ground you know, the ground crew, all the salespeople that you have involved.

(15:30):
I mean there's one thing, youknow, I know, you go
through you know, the ring orto put the thing and set it up,
but then to execute it on theday of, you know, in
conditions like that. You know, that's that's really comes down to a great
staff too. Yeah, I meanthat's the people I have to help me.
That I get. You know,I should do a better job in
the beginning probably of telling people whatwe need, but sometimes you just get

(15:54):
in the moment and you're like, but I know that the people I have
on my team, whether it's Stacyfrom the marketing team or Re or Alley,
that we're out there with us,I mean, powers to help me
so much this year, Like, you know, having him with me this
year was made a huge difference. And he knows I always throw crazy stuff
at him last minute. And Kylehelping him setting up the broadcast, you
know, brace who's always willing tojump in and do whatever, especially there's

(16:18):
a microphone involved. Oh, heloves it doing that. Pa died during
the playoff and he couldn't call theplay by play. He was like a
lost dog. At one point,he had two microphones. He was announcing
to the inside and the outside.I'm like this is right up your rally
man. Two microphones, he getsaround one he starts itching. Yeah.

(16:40):
How about Chill Moody. Yeah, the golf bug. He's he's caught the
bug. We had him on priorto te off and he was there throughout
the day. Man, you cantell he loves golf. Now. It's
like you can see it when peopleyou know, experience it and they just
they just get it. Then youjust can see it. There's a certain
look. Yeah, there is.You can't you can't miss it. Yeah

(17:02):
he has. He has the NiceThings Invitational Invitational coming up at LETTERAC so,
uh, take a look. Checkout Shill Moody. There's still time
to get into his outing. Sohelps help support our friend Chill Moody.
But yeah, so you know backnext year, have bigger. Got to
think about new things. You know, we stepped it up this year with
some new new uh new events, new contests out there, so I just

(17:25):
got to keep innovating. Did anybodyget close to the car winning the car
on thirteen? Because that's such ahard hole. I think a couple of
people got I don't know. Well, here, let me tell you what
the closest was on that uh,thirteen, nine six inches was the closest
someone got. Russ Hard time,Russ Hart time. Yeah, he probably
hit like an eight iron too,But that's crazy though. Nine six like,

(17:48):
yeah, the closest you know youhad on number five, someone got
to nine inches, right, yeah, that's let me wait, let me
see how close someone got. That'snot near the difficulty of thirteen though.
Guess what three the closest I thoughtsomeone would have gotten closer. The closest
someone got was seven seven foot threeinches. It was really that was the
all access trip to Ireland. Andthen the consolation prize was dropkick Murphy's tickets.

(18:11):
You like what I did there?Oh yeah, see that little marketing.
Yeah, yep, uh, Ithought that would have been closer.
Those guys were nervous. Yeah, like sorry, boys, this is why
it's why we do it. Wegot uh huh. Let's get Gayo to
that wallet. You know, oneof these years we're gonna get him to
have to give away that prize. But and then the Tallarta Jake Madalone,

(18:33):
Dave Tallerita and John Clark team werethe winners at thirteen under. That's pretty
impressive. Yeah, yeah. Thirteentwelve twelve eleven and eleven. I think
we were we were at nine orten. We were close. We were
not much because of me, butyeah, yeah we were not. And
if it weren't from my putter,we would have probably been even or over
par. So we did not havea good day. But I got out

(18:56):
Makefield, Yeah, the nude Makefieldthat I put on the head. But
John Clark's outfit, how about theimprovement? Yeah, I mean he he
When you get the live Phillies broadcastabout your outfit last year, yeah,
it probably gives you pause. Hedidn't have the crazy socks, so he

(19:17):
had a nice color corded blue, dark blue, light blue, look good,
looks sharp. Yeah. I don'tthink he spends a ton of time
in the closet, but I thinkhe probably spent an extra five before the
audi, right, like you know, like a couple like like no,
no, yeah, I'll take that, you know, not like me,
who tries on four different things.Right, It's like, what are you

(19:37):
doing? Aren't you golfling today?I'm like, yeah, why you Is
that the third thing you've had on? I don't know. Well, he's
a rumber out there at Radnor Valley. Now he's got to you know,
he's got to look presentable. Hedoes, Clark does. But thank you
to all. More information to come. We'll do the Early Bird special again.
I think people thought we were kidding, but I mean there were multiple

(20:00):
I would say at least ten foursomesthat I had to turn away. So
you know, I for all youguys are like, why didn't I know
about this? It's like, huh, yeah, right, how could you
not? So make sure you hoponto the early Bird when we when we
roll it out, probably in Januaryagain, and then we'll figure out a
date that we want to that wewant to do this. But yeah,

(20:22):
thank you to all. It's goodif you can pull that off. I
think I think people would love thatnice. I like October, right,
you're still before daylight savings, right, And that that's the issue too,
because we do need a lot ofwe'd have to bump it up probably another
hour maybe starting off the tea offat eleven, because we need that extra
hour after the outing. But guesswhat I had it? Let me tell

(20:42):
you exactly. With we had onehundred and thirty four golfers in one hundred
and thirty four Yeah, wow,I was telling people one sixteen that was
the goal. I just kept tellingpeople, Yeah, fine, but we
the last swing on so odd whowas out there on on twelve recording and

(21:03):
you're a video rating your drive? He said, first swing twelve thirteen,
last swing five oh two. That'sreally good. I mean for that many
guys players, and not just thatmany players, but also like a Tito's
bar yellow shot, like it wasn'tlike people were just rolling through. People
were stopping and doing stuff. Soyeah, I mean, kudos to the

(21:25):
folks at the Legacy Club for keepingus moving. Yeah, that was great.
So other than the outing hare, how's your how's your golf game going?
Man? Well, I mean I'veput up a thirty eight on the
back nine at the nineteen twelve Clublast go, which is the tie for
the best I've ever done. Andthen I did a forty one on that

(21:45):
same nine with a six on thelast hole on last Saturday. So things
are coming around, at least onthe back. I still can't figure out
the front. I just got tobring that front front nine score down.
About start the five shot, Well, yeah, I wish I could four
or five shots and we'll be inbusiness. But yeah, the new putter
I went out to see Mike Brownover at Makefield on last Friday and changed

(22:08):
out the head. I had theoriginal head on there, which which was
kind of large and kind of hadwings on it, and to be honest,
I didn't really like looking down atit as much. And it's a
big It sounds stupid the people thatdon't play golf, but you need when
you're looking down at your club, whether it be an iron, a driver,
or a putter, and it lookskind of off to you, it's

(22:30):
off putting to to try to executewith that. So we got the half
moon head on there, and I'vebeen I've been rolling them in man,
so it's it's made a big difference. So in that in that aspect,
it's good. Out at apple Brookon Sunday, I had you noticed I
had two gloves on at the outing, which was the next day. Previous
day played at Applebrook and had oneglove on my left hand and kept slipping

(22:55):
in my right hand and just ruinedmy back nine totally and then we got
actually pulled off because of lightning anyway, but I had to go to two
gloves. So now I'm changing mygrips. I'm going to put the wind
dry tax on once I get backfrom Connecticut, because they're supposed to be
the best non slip a grip onthe market. So I had some issues

(23:15):
with the sweating. We got toget tourist. Now back on the calendar,
we got right now. We hada great day plan. Our buddy
Sean Palmer had to set up Coopwas going to play with us. Oh
man, but you know, let'slet's get back on the calendar and make
sure we we locked that in becauseand we got to get to Lancaster too.
Yep. Yeah, yeah, let'stalk after this and and map out

(23:36):
the schedule and all right, andsee, yeah, I was I was
lucky enough to play aronom inc onon Sunday. Yeah? How that?
How did that happen? So WesWes was flying in. He told me
I'm flying in the day early,I'm gonna be up and he did an
event in New York, I thinkon Friday. He's like, I'm just
gonna drive down. Can you getus on any place? Can you get
us on Pine Valley? I'm like, yeah, hang on, let me

(23:56):
just let me call over to thepro shop and see have available, Like
what are you talking about? Sohe's like I'll make some calls. So
we were kind of both calling around. We had a couple of places you
know that that were possible. ButI guess the pro down at Tequesta is
that where he is? I thinkso? Oh yeah, I was the
former assistant at Aeronomic and he knowsJeff Kitty, former guest of Swing It

(24:18):
and ding It, so he wasgracious enough to to allow us out there
unaccompanied and unaccompanied. Yeah, likeMike Manavian was was in route through the
area too, so he jumped onwith us. Greeney and I were supposed
to play that day at Green Valley, so we just had to adjust to
a different course. Wow, it'scool, like that was a huge bucket

(24:41):
lister for me. There's three inthe area right to me that are the
tops, and I've got two nowright, which is a huge, huge
deal. How about I hate todo it to our buddy Dan Herschberg at
the Amateur Golf Society AGS Amateur COFTour text me up like, hey,
you available on Tuesday. I'm playingMarion that I'm like, huh. He's

(25:03):
like wondering if you have any golfinfluences that could join me. I'm playing
with an investor in such slots.I'm like that, dude, like,
you don't do that to a guy. You don't do that to a golfer.
If the invitees coming to me,it's coming to me, not for
me to get somebody right right rightnow. I love Dan, and of

(25:23):
course I tried to help them, but yeah, I thought for a second
I was getting around to MC andMarion in the same week. Different level.
But but yeah, dude, Ironimis a grown man's golf course.
Yeah, that's big boy golf,no doubt. The place is spectacular.
It's gorgeous. I mean the conditions, the fairways are huge. I'm not

(25:45):
a big fairway guy, so thatdidn't really help me that much. The
rough was outragial or absolute killer. But playing with with Wes and Mike,
it just was cool to watch thoseguys play. I mean they were they
were playing from the far back andthey take different lines off the don't it's
the noise that that ball makes. And listen. I know some people are
listening like, oh, I'm agood golfer. I'm like, if you

(26:06):
played with these guys, it's it'sdifferent, man. I mean, Mike,
Mike hits some of the best golfshots I've witnessed in person in as
long as I've been playing golf. What that guy can do with a golf
ball. And Wes was fantastic.Like people think, you know, Wes
is a long driver, but hiswhole game is good. He's a pro
golfer, right, Like he's usinga different driver. But I mean,

(26:27):
those guys were like going shot forshot and it was so cool to watch.
But so we get we get done. Two those two guys tee off
on three and the horn sounds. Now we could kind of see the darkness
off but we're like, oh,we're fine. It's far away. But
you know, they had that radiusand you know, I respect the you

(26:48):
know, the safety that they're tryingto make sure everyone is cool. But
we came off and we sat fortwo two and a half hours and we
didn't see off until one thirty.I'm like, I'm not leaving. I'm
finishing around, right, I don'tknow if I'll ever get back here.
Yeah, but the caddies hung. They hung the whole time. And we
got back out and there were onlylike maybe three groups on the course and

(27:11):
we finished up. I don't know, probably like right it right when it
was like getting dark. Interesting, you got it. I mean, just
it's gonna be so cool to watchthe PGA there in twenty twenty six after
playing it and just you know,it just is a massive place. But
it's beautiful. Yeah, how doyou like that? Finish the sixteen the
par five and then you turn theseventeen the par three with the water,

(27:32):
and then eighteen you come up thehill with great finish. Yeah, great
good. I mean you know it'skind of like, you know, the
opposite of cricket, right you havethe uphill with the clubhouse kind of framed
where cricket coming down the hill. But yeah, just great finishing holes man,
great finishing goal, great opening holetoo, down the hill on one
son and then back up right andthen kind of go down and back up.

(27:53):
It does it does. Everyone kepttelling me stay in front of the
pin on one, stay in frontof the pin. But I actually hit
I was, I was one overafter two. I'm like, yeah,
I parted. I hit a halfwaydecent drive, hit like a seven iron
into into the bunker, and Ihit the best bunker shot I've ever hit

(28:14):
to a to a tap in andI'm like all right here we go,
then the horn sounds and then Idon't know, I'm shot a million.
And it's different playing a really goodbunkers too, like really good sand,
you know, because it's like it'snot too deep. Had it rained at
that point, so you knew whatyou were going to get, right,
you know. Oh yeah, that'sawesome. Yea. Now where are you
with the caddy experience, because I'vehad a few good experiences and then I've

(28:41):
had a few not good experiences.Well, it all depends on the on
the caddy obviously, just like everythingelse we had awesome. This dude named
Chris has been there for like fiveyears, who was just the dude.
He was awesome. You know,I appreciate a little line here and there
when you're putting right. Yeah, for me, that's awesome. Uh but
you know me, har I'm anaccessory guy in a golf cart. I

(29:03):
mean, it takes me five minutesto set up all the stuff I had
right right, I can't bring thespeaker, you can't, you know,
like I missed. I'm not.It's a different it's a different experience,
right like yeah, yeah, butI like having my stuff there like available
where I can go into my mybackpack in the back of the card or
whatever. You know, I havemy range finder and then I have my

(29:26):
GPS, and like you said, you got your speaker, and you know
your drinks, like what you like, you're walking around, I've gotta hold
my drink. I gotta hold mygatorade or whatever it was. You know
what I love is it makes menot look at my phone. Yeah,
that's true. Which like if Iget when I get to play on a
weekend, you know, I don'tlook at it anyway during the week if

(29:47):
I'm playing with clients, I stillhave to check it, which you know,
you get you off and then thenext three holes are a mess.
But yeah, it's cool. Imean I like it. You feel it
feels like you're playing a different gamewhen you're walking, you know, yeah,
caddie, But no doubt about it. I'm good either way. I
mean, listen, after the rain, we're like, man, I wish
we could take a card out therebecause we knew it was gonna get dark

(30:08):
and we want to just cruise aroundbut around. Yeah. Yeah, a
lot of fun, a lot offun. But well that's how they keep
those golf courses looking so good. With the ones with cats because the carts
aren't tearing them up. Yeah, you know what I mean. Carts do
a lot of damage to the grass. Oh yeah, so yeah, no
doubt. All right, let's takea quick break and we will come right
back. We'll talk about a lotgoing on in Scotland last weekend this week.

(30:33):
All right, welcome back to Swingand ding It. We're going to
talk about Scotland. It's funny wetalked about the outing and All Access were
giving away an incredible trip to Irelandfor someone to get a hold in one.
But I mean that's what they do, right, Like, yes,
they could get you anywhere in thecontinental United States and you'll have the best
golf trip of your lifetime. Butyou know, their specialties is overseas and

(30:56):
they have a ton of guys outthere going for the Open, playing all
the greatest courses. So if that'ssomething that might interest you, if you
want to plan that for next year, you're thinking ahead to the Ryder Cup
at a dare manor any of thosethings. Right, don't let you know,
Charlie from your club, plan yourplan, your your your thing,
you know, like, don't lethim plan your trip like he might do
a nice job, but he's notgoing to do what these guys could do.

(31:18):
There's a there's a link in ourInstagram bio that has a special portal

(31:41):
golf experiences you've always dreamed of.Who doesn't love a good golf trip,
hair oh Man. I mean youget down to Melbourne, Australia. They
can send you out out there andput you on the best golf courses and
tell you where to get the greatmeal. And you know, the beauty
of the golf trip is the isthe group chat. Like I still have
a group chat with the guys thatwent to Costata Campo with two years ago.

(32:01):
That would be still and it's notall people that knew each other before
that. There's a couple guys thatdidn't know each other before that, but
literally still like text each other, send each other stuff. It's almost like
that six month anticipation leading up toit and talking about it. You know,
it gives you like a full yearof enjoyment and excitement. So checking
those guys out for sure. Butspeaking of enjoyment and excitement, how about

(32:23):
that Robert McIntyre, I mean, you know you couldn't You couldn't write the
script any better. He birdies thefinal hole to win the Genesis Scottish Open
with a sixty seven over that AdamScott. Hart starts two back on Sunday
with behind Obar and the young Scottgets it done. Yeah about that?

(32:44):
I mean he came in second lastyear to Rory. Rory hit that tremendous
two iron on the eighteenth hole toeventually beat him. But he has won
the Canadian earlier this year and nowhe's won the Scottish So that's two PGA
Tour wins. He could end upwith a Rookie of the Year on the
PGA Tour, which is which besyou know, an extra added bonus.

(33:06):
But how about what happened to himon sixteen. He'd made the birdie on
fourteen and it started to get interestingon sixteen he hits his t shot into
the fescue, and I mean it'sit's deep into the fescue. There's fescue
you can hit out of, andthen there's stuff that you're going to just
try to hope to advance at fiftyone hundred yards and take your next shot.

(33:27):
This was one of those where he'she could only have hit this fifty
to eighty yards maybe, but hefeels something under his his spike. He
was wearing full cleats, and maybeif he wasn't wearing full clets, he
wouldn't have felt the sprinkler head underneathhis foot. Calls over a you know,
a rules official, and they gavehim a free drop away from what

(33:49):
you know, so his feet wouldn'tbe where the sprinkler head was. He
gets a clean drop and he hitsa six iron two hundred and forty seven
yards to six feet and makes eagle. I mean, that was just a
great break. But then you takethe break and then you execute a shot
like that, you know, Simon, I know there's some people ielieve questioning
whether he should have gotten a freedrop and all that. I'm not questioning

(34:12):
that at all, because you stillgot to step up and hit the shot
and he did it. So,yeah, tremendous win. You talked about
Oberg. You had a final roundI think it was three over on his
final round and slipped down to Tfour along with Rory. They finished at
fourteen under par. But yeah,I mean that was great drama. I
mean the home, the countrymen, man, the people were going nuts.

(34:34):
Oh yeah, oh yeah, Imean just an incredible story. If there's
I mean I feel bad for himbecause he likes to celebrate. He says,
you should celebrate. You don't wina lot out here, and when
you win, you should celebrate. And there's probably a couple of guys on
tour I would want to celebrate with, and he would be on that list.
But you got to come right back. You're playing in the Open,

(34:54):
right you can't just party for nightafter night. And he's ready to bounce
right back and get it done.Yeah, I know, he said,
you know that's about some of theAdam Scott hare. Yeah. I mean
he had a tremendous about that.Remember this week, seventeen under par.
Some might be putting him on afantasy team for the Open Championship this week

(35:16):
because he seems to be in gearfor Links Golf. He's had a pretty
good history at the Open, cameup just short years back to Ernie El's
came and nipped him at the wire. But yeah, he had a great
week man, I'll tell you.And Oberg. I was really kind of
surprised. I thought Oberg was goingto close it out and yeah, three

(35:37):
over me too. Aaron Roby talkedabout him last week. He was T
four with Rory. Yeah, playsreally well. You have Colin Workal who
is getting a lot, a lota lot of looks. Yeah, ties
with Oberg, and then you hadWyndham Clark Corey Connors in T. Ten,
so very interesting going into this week. Yeah that Corey Connors just makes
cuts and just makes money. Man. He's he's always kind of in that

(35:58):
top ten to top twenty range. No doubt he really is. Well,
let's let's roll right into the OpenChampionship. Harry. I hate to say
this, but I'm not getting thebuzz for this for this last major like
I was for some of the oilerones this year. Is that just me
because I was distracted with the outingor I think it's just you that you
were distracted with the outing. Imean, you were very busy. I

(36:19):
think. I think by Thursday orFriday, when they're playing in the in
the rain and the wind, Ithink you'll get into it. Good good,
good. Yeah. But let's let'sstart with the course of course with
Harry Mays, because Royal Truon isa pretty interesting and special place. Yeah,
Royal Truon man Old Tom Morris parseventy one seighty five yards. They've

(36:40):
added some length since the last timethe Open was here. The shortest and
the longest holes at the Open. This course has both. They got the
shortest hole, which is the iconicpar three to eighth hole called the Postage
Stamp, which ranges from anywhere fromninety nine to one hundred twenty three yards,
and you'll see guys putting up fivesand sixes on this hole, trust

(37:05):
me. And then there's a parfive that they've lengthened. The sixth hole
is now six hundred and twenty threeyards. They've lengthened at about twenty or
thirty yards. The thing about thisplace is the wind. I mean,
that's the defense for all links golf, but this place, with the way
it's routed, you're gonna get somany much change of direction from the winds,
like one through six is straight awayfrom the clubhouse and you're gonna get

(37:29):
wind off the southwest, so it'skind of into you and off the right.
Then you take a turn, you'dgo inland on the seventh hole and
it's kind of dead right to left. Then you come back to the ocean
with the postage stamp hole where thewind's kind of in your face and off
the left. Then you turn backaround and a dog leg left ninth hole,
it's back over your right shoulder. Then the course really gets hard.

(37:52):
The back nine is what this placeis all about. Tenth and eleventh hole
are the two holes along the railwaythe rail road, both out of bounds
right, gorse bushes all down theleft, and eleventh is the hardest hole
in the golf course. The parfour four hundred and ninety eight yards par
feels like birdie. Like I said, out of bounds, all up the

(38:14):
right, gorse bushes all down theleft, pot bunkers front left corner of
the green. You just there's potbunkers everywhere. The twelfth hole, you
come back towards the ocean now witha cross breeze. A four hundred and
fifty one yard par four, doglegs right, lots of gorse bushes,
pot bunkers front, left and rightof the green. Then you come back
and take a right hand turn andthe wind changes again. Now it's going

(38:36):
to be off your left shoulder, kind of helping, but off the left
all the way home. Thirteenth holesa par four four hundred and seventy three
yards, tight fairway and a smallraised green. That's the only hole I
believe that doesn't have a bunker onit. Thirteen fourteen, Yeah, fourteens
of par three two hundred yards intothe wind. Two bunkers, short like

(38:58):
crossbunkers that kind of strupt your depthperception. And then you got short right
and right front corner and one onthe left. On the left side.
There's bunkers just everywhere, just trustfifteen sixteens a par five, the last
scoreable hole on the course. Seventeenanother long par three two hundred and forty
two yards with cross bunkers, justjust sand everywhere. And you know how

(39:22):
this works, Moose, You've playedPine Valley. It's like, you know,
the ball hits it and just kindof finds a way to roll right
into the bunker. You're like, did that get in the bunker? Yep,
yes, you're in a bunker. But the eighteenth toll is iconic because
it's four and fifty yards kind ofuphill par four. They call it craig
end T. Shot needs to beavoidance of the three bunkers which are spaced

(39:45):
down the left hand side, andthen they got one on the right in
the fair way, and then you'vegot a couple short of the green.
There are cross bunkers to mess withyour depth perception and out of bounds over
the green should be a great dramaticfinish for the hundred and fifty second open.
Those pop bunkers are fun. Iremember the best example I have of

(40:06):
one I haven't I haven't played overseasyet, but I played Sabonic. Yeah,
there's one little one right off ofthe green on eighteen, and that's
of course swhear my ball ended up. I was in there. I was
in there for a minute. Yeah, I spent some time in there.
Well, there's such odd shapes, and some of them are small, like
where you can't get both your legsin. You'll see you can get a
max swing and right right you haveto go out the other way. Maybe

(40:27):
you have to knock it off ofthe rivetted face so it kicks back farther
so you can actually hit your secondshot in the bunker. It's crazy,
really good stuff, really good stuff. But if you're hitting the links this
weekend, the pros are, theysure are for the open, be right
there with them. Get in onall the tee to green action at DraftKings

the last twelve winners where thirty fiveor older. Eight of the twelve or
thirty two were older. Fifteen ofeighteen winners had a ten nine or better
in the Open in the previous year. Five of the last six winners played
in the Open at least four times. Need some experience, had some success,

(42:46):
right, yep, no doubt aboutit. You know this place got
great history too. I mean HenrikStenson the the Mono Amano with Phil Mickelson
backed in what was it twenty Ithink sixtewenty sixteen. I think that's time
they've been there. Justin Leonard wonhis only major back at this golf.
Of course, Calkovecca back in eightynine out dueled Greg Norman in a classic.

(43:10):
Todd Hamilton, a kind of anunknown journeyman guy that played on the
Asian Tour, ends up in aplayoff with Ernie L's and takes down Ernie
Els Back in two thousand and four. Tom Weisskof won his only major here.
Back in seventy three, Tom Watsonwon one of his five, and
Arnold Palmer won one of his twoOpen championships. A lot of great history

(43:30):
here, no doubt about it.It's gonna be. You have Tiger and
Phil in the field right about twentythousand, Phil at forty thousand. They
were together on the range yesterday.I don't know if he saw this.
I didn't say much interaction though, right, No, not at all.
Well, of course, you knowPhil's left handed, so he's behind Tiger
with their backs were to one anotherbecause one's right handed, one's left handed,

(43:52):
and Phil was behind him. Butyeah, there was no yea conversing,
which is weird, right, youdon't know what they did when they
got there, and then you're hittingfalls, right, But like, yeah,
it's it's fun to watch that stuff. Is the Is the Sunday Red
starting to grow on you at all? Well? I like the logo the
Tigers. I've been on record ofsaying I kind of have come around on

(44:12):
his stuff. So yeah, it'sit's growing on me a little bit.
I mean, you had that likewhite hoodie on. Like, yeah,
I don't know if I'm ready togo to the wallet yet, but I
might get a hat. Close, get a hat, I'm close, yeah
close. Oh hair. By theway, the uh, the rain delay
at Aronomic afforded me the opportunity togo you nowhere, of course, the

(44:36):
crow shot. Yeah, so whatwas the damage? Like I showed restraint.
Showing restraint for me was I thinkit was like four dollars? Really?
Yeah, I mean, listen,that's stuff's not you. I bought
Greenia shirt too, And then soI go up and they have incredible hats.
So I grab like three hats andI bring them up and guys like,
sorry, that's the member of logothe Indian Head. He's like,

(44:58):
you can't buy that. I'm like, no problem, but I got a
I did get a PGA a twentysix PGA shirt too, in advance.
In advance. But all right, well let's let's talk about seeing the line.
Harry. A lot of people likethis guy, I don't know.
I do like Hatton at twenty eighthundred, but that's not going to be

(45:19):
my main pick. I like ShaneLowry at four thousand. I like Wyndham
Clark at six thousand. How aboutthis for I actually think for a shorter
odd person, Colin Morrikow at sixteenhundred. But we talked about Adam Scott.
He's sixty five hundred, he's fortyfour years old. You know who
is forty four when they won?Darren Clark. He seems like a younger
forty four to me. Yeah, playing really well, I could see.

(45:43):
I mean at that number, I'mgonna throw a couple of shekels in on
this. On this Adam Scott andthen how we talked about Corey Conners.
How about you can get him evenmoney over Louis Ustasen. Yeah, that's
that's a matchup for sure. I'mtaking that, and I'm taking Cam Smith
even money plus one hundred over can'tlay. So that's nice that I have

(46:05):
so far. I need to Ineed to fill in my lineup. We
have the one and Done I hadOberg. I'm taking Oberg into one and
done, and I have to fillout my lineup. We still have some
spots in our DraftKings contest, sohop in check it out. Yeah,
I just hopped in yesterday and AdamScott is part of my squad. I'll
definitely tell you that. And I'mactually going with Rory on the fantasy squad.
He's my highest ranked player on myfantasy my fantasy team, you know,

(46:30):
another outlier. I think he mightbe about five thousand to win.
He's had his struggles, He's playedwell in his last two tournaments which were
tournaments with not the best fields, they weren't elevated, or Tom Kim significant
events. No. I had himlast week and one and done. He
ended up T. Fifteen. CameronYoung plays really well, has had two

(46:52):
Opens so far with two top tens. Six thousand? Is he six thousand
that I might take a little flyeron him just to you know, because
he's done so well the last twoyears at the Open. You know,
what do you do with the liveplayers? You mentioned Hatton, a lot
of people like him. What aboutBryson? I mean, Bryson just keeps
on performing. We all keep saying, well, is this really a good

(47:12):
golf course for him? I'm convincedthat he can just play anywhere. You
could drop him anywhere. Give himthree days to go play the golf course
and he go and he all havea chance to win. Brooks kept Gus
getting a lot of love as always, but he's disappointed thus far this year.
Dean Burmester is kind of an offthe radar guy and live who's had
a really good year and could bea good top twenty play. But I'm

(47:35):
going with Victor Hoveland top twenty atplus one forty he's also my one and
done player. Hatton top twenty atplus one twenty Cam Young plus two thirty
in a top twenty Cam Young overfitsat plus one oh five plus money in
a matchup over Fitzpatrick and Cory Conner'stop thirty at plus one twenty five.

(48:00):
It's funny we didn't mention. Wedidn't mention Scotty Shaffler is Ander Schaffley.
No right now today just automatic topfive at a top ten or you think,
what do you think Scotty does onthis course? I can't wait.
I'm watching him right now warm upon the range, not live on my
television. Can't wait to see howhe plays this course. Yeah. I
mean, he hasn't been great onlinks golf yet. He's had a couple

(48:21):
of okay finishes. But the randomnature of this event, due to the
weather and due to the you know, you could get an unfortunate kick in
the fairway off of one of thoselittle humps and end up in a bunker
and it just totally ruined your round, you know what I mean, Like,
it's so random that there's no wayyou could take Scotty, you know,
at his number. It's it's ridiculous, but I wouldn't be surprised if

(48:44):
if he's top ten, you know, he might be off the off the
pace, so to speak, inthe first two days, make the cut
and then all of a sudden, you see Sunday, you know, nine
holes to go, and there heis. You know what I mean.
Yeah, he's that kind of player, no doubt. All right, well,
good stuff, looking forward to seeingit once again. Thank you to
everyone who helped us out and participatedwith with the golf outing. We really

(49:06):
appreciate the support. As always.Yeah, tremendous keeps getting better. What
do you got planned to getting backout this week? Or going up to
Connecticut visit my sister and playing aprivate club up near her place on Friday,
and then we always get out tothe Donald Ross Course, which is
owned by the town of Groton,Connecticut, which is always in tremendous shape

(49:27):
and it's within walking distance of mysister's front door. So we'll get out
there. Tremendous, enjoy, enjoynothing. I don't have anything on the
books this week. Next week iswhen it gets crazy with Galloway than out
the Pebble Beach so beautiful. Ido have to get some rounds in though
to warm up, but yeah, looking forward to it and looking forward to
Open to the Open. Thanks againfor everyone for the swing and ding it.

(49:50):
Open and check it out. We'llhave some videos and more photos and
stuff posted if you weren't able tobe there, or if you were and
you want to see yourself. Butthanks for listening. Yell listen, swing
it and ding it
