(00:47):
out the trash this morning, I thought, if only garbage
was money, we'd all be rich.

Speaker 2 (00:52):
Yeah, and that the truth?

Speaker 1 (00:53):
Can you imagine it?

Speaker 2 (00:54):
True? Yeah? You know what?

Speaker 1 (00:55):
I think? That made me think of a good program
I'd like to start. Oh, I like for someone to
start it for for all of us.

Speaker 2 (01:02):
Okay, once a.

Speaker 1 (01:04):
Month, you take out a big bag of trash and
when they come and pick it up, they just leave
you a big bag of money exchange for the trash.

Speaker 2 (01:12):
You know, Okay, never gonna happen.

Speaker 1 (01:15):
But okay, look, we can't all live in my world,
you know.

Speaker 2 (01:20):
No, you didn't even have to smoke nothing to get
there completely sober.

Speaker 1 (01:25):
Didn't even have that. I didn't even have wine last
night with dinner. So no, I'm completely sober and I
came up with that. So no, wouldn't that be great though,
You take a big bag of trash out and you
come home from work and you got a big bag
of cash, It would be awesome. It's cash for trash.
See that's my program. Okay, that's my platform.

Speaker 2 (01:46):
Good luck with that.

Speaker 1 (01:47):
Artists, did you do anything fun for your birthday yesterday?

Speaker 2 (01:50):
Yeah? I went out a little bit. Oh you did? Yeah?
My friends got me a cake and that was cool.
I can't Yeah I had a cake in a long time.
Oh nice? Can I ask for flavor? It was like
a mix of chocolate in the in the whatever.

Speaker 1 (02:01):
Oh those are good because you get both?

Speaker 2 (02:05):
Yeah? Nice?

Speaker 1 (02:07):
Did you stay out late.

Speaker 2 (02:09):
Uh, considering how I normally don't go anywhere on a Wednesday,
I guess it was all late, so like, uh, that's
kind of lost on you.

Speaker 1 (02:17):
I I apologize to you, Sally, because I don't know
how you sleep with me. I I thank god I
was facing the other way away from you. Last night,
I had a dream that some guy just randomly walked
up to me and he started leading me away, and
I'm like, what are we doing?

Speaker 2 (02:32):
What are you doing?

Speaker 1 (02:33):
I had just gotten out of a car, and he says,
we're going fishing, and I was.

Speaker 2 (02:37):
Like, I don't.

Speaker 1 (02:37):
I don't see any fishing poles. I don't, I don't think.

Speaker 2 (02:39):
So pulled a gun.

Speaker 1 (02:40):
On me and tried to shoot me, and I tried,
oh yeah, And I tried to kick him, and I
physically kicked you know. I felt I almost fell out
of bed trying to kick this guy. Oh my god.

Speaker 2 (02:51):
And yeah, I.

Speaker 1 (02:52):
Would kicked you right in the side, you.

Speaker 2 (02:56):
Know, Oh that would.

Speaker 1 (02:58):
And I thought, why can't I dream nice, pleasant stuff?
I always got a dream like somebody's trying to kill me.

Speaker 2 (03:05):
Yeah, you dream messed up stuff?

Speaker 1 (03:06):
That sure stuff? And again had water Yeah with dinner
last night.

Speaker 2 (03:11):
Maybe you should change. It didn't smoke anything, it's something else.
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (03:19):
I just I have just the way your brain's wired.
I guess, I guess. So this segment has really come
to think.

Speaker 2 (03:25):
I don't even know how we got here. Really, to
be honest with you.

Speaker 1 (03:29):
I know, from your birthday to most weird dreams, me
kicking somebody in my sleep.

Speaker 2 (03:34):
Yeah, I don't know this.

Speaker 1 (03:35):
This show is all messed up. All right, Well, gonna
start your day off at the six o'clock Comedy Club.
This is comedian Taylor Tomlinson, and she's talking about how
she's done with her twenties. I am halfway through my
twenties and I am done. Oh my god, I'm sick
of my twenties.

Speaker 2 (03:52):
I'm so sick of people telling me to enjoy them.
They're not fun.

Speaker 1 (03:55):
They are ten years of asking yourself, what I outgrow this?

Speaker 2 (03:58):
Or is it a problem? Like? Is this a phase
or a demon?

Speaker 1 (04:04):
I just need to know, like am I fun? Or
should I go to a meeting?

Speaker 2 (04:07):
Someone helped me and people get upset when I complain
about being young. I had a woman come up to
me after a show furious. She's like, you should really
appreciate this time of your life because someday you're gonna
have a family like me, and you're really gonna miss it.
Are your kids buried?

Speaker 1 (04:27):
I'm just trying to get to my car. Ghost of
Christmas future

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
