I did the dance form on Facebook Live.

Speaker 2 (00:14):
There. We appreciate it. Me a thank you.

Speaker 3 (00:17):
We've got some talkback messages.

Speaker 4 (00:19):
Youay, everybody, This is a Maya. I just wanted to
say happy birthday to Curtis and tell me to be
nice to you, especially today. Happy birthday to you, Happy
birthday to you. Happy birthday, Curtis, Happy birthday to you.

Speaker 2 (00:43):
Well, Maya should be in Happy birthday Curtis. This is
Amaya's mom, Stephanie, and she got called sorry. Thank you
Stephanie and Amyah. That was very lovely.

Speaker 3 (00:52):
We should be in course for real, very good voice.

Speaker 2 (00:55):
All right.

Speaker 3 (00:55):
We got another talkback here.

Speaker 5 (00:58):
Happy birthday, Curtis. This is Greg from Johnson Beach. You know,
studies show that the people who have the most happy
birthdays tend to live longer. Enjoy your special day.

Speaker 3 (01:14):
He's an a Dan joke for your birthday. I love him.

Speaker 5 (01:18):
I love him.

Speaker 2 (01:21):
Thank you, Greg, that was awesome.

Speaker 3 (01:25):
I love the talkbacks there.

Speaker 1 (01:27):
Thank you so much, and happy birthday Curtis going to
be celebrating again tomorrow because we left the shift on
the counter right this morning. All right, uh, I have
rants on pants and this is all Curtis's fault. Actually, well,
yesterday I had to wear pants. First of all, I'm
not a fan of this weather because two days in

(01:47):
a row now I've had to wear pants.

Speaker 2 (01:49):
You don't like your gams covert.

Speaker 3 (01:51):
I it's I feel just gross.

Speaker 1 (01:53):
If I'm just being honest, I feel gross, and yesterday
I felt gross all day. But you said something yesterday
you called my pants mom jeans.

Speaker 2 (02:01):
Yeah I did do that, Yeah you did. Yeah, and
dad jeans.

Speaker 3 (02:04):
You called them mom jeans.

Speaker 2 (02:05):
Yes, you know, because the joke makes it better if
I changed that.

Speaker 1 (02:08):
Yeah, but yes, anyway, that got in my head. And
then yesterday our boss said, hey, can I talk to
you for a minute, And we walked down to our
office and into our office and he started to say
something and he was like, holy crap, I just realized
I's wearing jeans today.

Speaker 3 (02:22):
He has jeans on it. I don't think I've ever.

Speaker 1 (02:23):
Seen you in jeans, And I was like, yeah, okay,
all right, And then we left here and I had
some errands to run and I had the jeans on,
and I just hated it, hated it. So I'm wearing
jeans again today. And I felt so out of place
yesterday because you made that comment comment about them being
mom jeans, and I had my tennis shoes on, my

(02:45):
comfortable tennis shoes, and I'm walking around home depot.

Speaker 3 (02:47):
And I'm like, I look like I look like an idiot. Yeah,
that far your head got that far.

Speaker 2 (02:57):
That's a huge mistake.

Speaker 1 (03:00):
I felt so out of place, like a turd and
a punch bowl, just so ridiculous. That is a graphic analogy.
Well that's how I felt. And I'm so I'm not
a fan of this weather. Two days in a row.
I'm wearing jeans. My legs are hot, things are sweating.

Speaker 3 (03:13):
Why did you just bring a pair of shorts to work?
And I brought a pair of yesterday but it was
too cold to put them on.

Speaker 2 (03:18):
Tomorrow you might be a better all right.

Speaker 3 (03:20):
I'm just saying, yeah, tomorrow is going to get up
to like seventy seven.

Speaker 1 (03:23):
Okay, or just embrace the mom jeans things. Things were
sweating yesterday. I don't think you understand and I just
felt gross, and I think it's all because you made
that comment.

Speaker 2 (03:33):
Yeah, it's my god, I have control over your sweaty undercarriage. Gross.

Speaker 1 (03:40):
Oh, turn in the Punch Bowl was gross. We apologize
for this segment.

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
