Speaker 1 (00:01):
Good morning, and thanks for kicking off here Wednesday with
the Mow and Sally Show. It is November twelfth, and
here's what's trending. Okay, so we're fifteen days away from Thanksgiving.
It's not exactly Christmas, but Thanksgiving does have its share
of feel good movies. So if you need a movie
to watch to get you in the move for Thanksgiving,
Mental Floss has put together a list which includes Adam's

(00:22):
Family Values from nineteen ninety three, Never Saw It, Miracle
on thirty fourth Street from nineteen forty seven, Never saw It,
a Charlie Brown Thanksgiving. I have seen that Spider Man
from two thousand and two.

Speaker 2 (00:38):
There's one Thanksgiving scene. I would not call that a
Thanksgiving movie. I think this list is a stretch.

Speaker 1 (00:43):
Yeah, now You've got Mail.

Speaker 2 (00:46):
No, I don't consider that a Thanksgiving movie at all.

Speaker 1 (00:49):
This is my favorite, and this is a Thanksgiving movie. Planes, trains,
and Automobiles. There you got one. New is eighty seven.

Speaker 2 (00:56):
The whole movie is about him trying to get home
for Thanksgiving.

Speaker 1 (00:59):
The best thanks Giving movie in my opinion.

Speaker 2 (01:01):
The others are stretch.

Speaker 1 (01:02):
Yeah. The second season finale of The Golden Bachelor is
on ABC. Tonight starting at eight o'clock. So a lot
of us use lol in our text maybe too often.
It seems that gen Zers have declared replying lol in
every message as one of the ultimate phone x, along
with the thumbs up emoji. Huh oh, guilty, guilty.

Speaker 2 (01:24):
Yeah, but I don't text any gen z or so
I'm og. Yeah, they could tell me what to do
when they learn how to not gen z sty all
over the place. Oh yeah, good point.

Speaker 1 (01:33):
Based on a new study. Twenty somethings also say having
a loud, annoying ring tone isn't cool either.

Speaker 2 (01:39):
Well, I'm going to agree with that.

Speaker 1 (01:41):
Yeah, But the most irritating, irritating thing they say is
when you take hours and hours to respond to a text.
Or conversely, if you text a question and don't get
a reply in a minute or two and you send
two question marks back like you're waiting for an answer. Yeah,
that's irritating as well.

Speaker 2 (01:56):
Some people are busy. Not everybody has their phones right
in front of their faces. Twenty four to seven.

Speaker 1 (02:01):
I'm guilty of that question mark question mark thing. I
did it to you yesterday.

Speaker 2 (02:04):
Yeah, but I was in a room that I had
to get a mammogram yesterday. Yeah, I'm all good. And
the room I was in you can't text.

Speaker 1 (02:13):
Yeah. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (02:14):
I think it's because of all the you know, machines
and equipment and stuff.

Speaker 1 (02:18):
I didn't know that. So she's texting me, trying to.

Speaker 2 (02:20):
Send you back a text, and it's like, won't send,
won't send.

Speaker 1 (02:24):
And I'm sending like question mark, question mark, getting irritated.

Speaker 2 (02:27):
Yeah, yeah, I think that happens to everybody.

Speaker 3 (02:29):
And finally, there's a viral video of a little boy
making the rounds on Halloween night now right when his
parents are telling him, you know, say trick or treat.

Speaker 2 (02:36):
Say you know how parents do that?

Speaker 3 (02:38):
Because he's just a little kid, and he's in the
little green costume, and the parent and.

Speaker 2 (02:42):
The people's house that he's at.

Speaker 3 (02:43):
You can see them standing there with a big plastic
pumpkin full of candy, and his parents.

Speaker 2 (02:47):
Are like, say trick or treat. Here's what happened.

Speaker 4 (02:51):
He said, excuse me, my gosh, and the people hold
the plastic pumpkin, lose it.

Speaker 1 (03:06):
He's so sweet.

Speaker 2 (03:07):
What do you say?

Speaker 1 (03:08):
I want to try that in our next meeting. What
do you think about November numbers?

Speaker 4 (03:13):
Excuse me, we're getting up there to age.

Speaker 2 (03:18):
You know, somebody's going to meeting.

Speaker 1 (03:21):
I can't control it.

Speaker 2 (03:22):
It just got a little closer to forty.

Speaker 1 (03:25):
So the next all in meeting. That's what's trending here
on the Moon. Saturday Morning Show

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
