Speaker 1 (00:01):
Lenn. You need to know she's got you. It's three
good morning.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
We're just before nine o'clock. At nine oh five, I
have a chance for you to win that free trip
to Vegas to our iHeartRadio Music Festival, all expenses pay,
third weekend in September.

Speaker 1 (00:18):
Don't go far.

Speaker 2 (00:20):
I don't know if anyone has addressed this yet for you,
but I just want to let you know that I
support you if you feel like you're gonna be a
lost today now that the Olympics have come and gone.
I was just posting my final Olympics video. You know,
I've been covering them for the country for all of iHeartRadio,
and now I don't know what to do with myself.
It's like the only thing I've consumed over the last

(00:43):
nineteen days. So nonetheless, I'm with you in solid air
if you need that today. The Games wrapped up yesterday
with closing ceremonies. Some of the bigger things from the
weekend that you need to know. Women's volleyball took silver
against Italy. Both basketball teams took goal. Those are exciting
to watch women's soccer. It's a goal that was exciting

(01:04):
to watch. So those are some of the bigger ones.
It was trending that Jordan Chiles's bronze medal was taken away.
It's gonna get appealed from the Olympic Committee, I'm sure.
But just the gist of it was when she did
that floor routine, her judges and coaches, I'm sorry, the
coaches said to the judges, hey, we're going to contest
the score because we think her difficulty should be a

(01:26):
little score a little bit higher. They said, okay, yeah,
So they ended up giving her the higher score, which
bumped her from fifth to bronze position. Then they went
back in and looked and said, well, you only have
sixty seconds to make that appeal, and you did it
within sixty four seconds. So then it went to the IOC.
There's going to be some appeals back and forth. Our
thoughts are with Jordan Chiles. I can't imagine what it's

(01:46):
like to be like you did so well, like you
got the bronze, and then like nope, just kidding in
it not So those are the bigger moments. Closing ceremonies
started with Tom Cruise jumping in from the beginning at
the top of the building while her sang the national anthem.

Speaker 3 (02:17):
Yay.

Speaker 2 (02:30):
I love watching her play electric guitar, and it's been
whild to hear the national, the American National anthem, like
hundreds of times over the last couple of weeks, Doctor
Dre and Snoop Dogg performed. This was in La, so
that was the whole thing. It was like passing the
torch from Paris to La. The Hollywood sign had the
Olympic rings on it, just bringing me back to the

(02:57):
Super Bowl halftime show from a few years ago on
the Bengals for and then finally, Billy Eilish did Birds
of a Feather. Fans did not like her mic quality.

Speaker 1 (03:04):
Let's see if you can hear it.

Speaker 2 (03:19):
It's okay, It's not like the best, but Birds of
a Feather is a great song. I think Billy Eilish
just has a very quiet, slashed, high pitched voice, so
it's really challenging to hear her in general.

Speaker 1 (03:29):
Again, she'll be at Heritage this November. All right.

Speaker 2 (03:32):
Finally, in Three Things You Need, I think we're only
at number two. Kanye West versus Taylor Swift. It's been
a thing in the news since he came up on
stage years ago. Then the audio and video surface that
it was doctored about the famous lyric well Kanye West
took an ell I guess at the hands of someone

(03:52):
who said beef with for years, that being Taylor. I'm
just reading this off of TMZ if it sounds like
I am. Kanye's streak of eleven conc secutive number ones
was just broken with Vultures two. It fell short for
that top number one spot because Taylor Swift is still
in there, so I'm wondering if she's like sweet redemption
on that. Taylor, by the way, returns to London and

(04:14):
there for her three upcoming shows, and there'll be a
lot more security since the cancelations at her last shows.
All Right, finally, in three Things you need to Know
this morning, sending love to Nev Schulman. He's lucky to
be alive after getting into a bike accident and having
to learn how to walk again.

Speaker 1 (04:36):
That is the guy from Catfish.

Speaker 2 (04:37):
So if you haven't seen those videos yet or those pictures,
they're inspiring.

Speaker 1 (04:40):
That is three things you need.

Speaker 2 (04:41):
To know for the twelve of August. Your chance to
win that trip to Vegas is coming up next.
