Speaker 1 (00:01):
When you need to know She's got you.
Speaker 2 (00:04):
It's three things with tip on good morning.
Speaker 1 (00:08):
It's six fifty five.
Speaker 3 (00:11):
And the heat advisory ended last night at eight pm. However,
I believe temperatures will once again bump into at least
the nineties by later on this afternoon, so be aware
of that one.
Speaker 1 (00:22):
Let's start off with Walnut Hills High School.
Speaker 3 (00:24):
I read an article out of Sincy Magazine that it
ranked number two in Ohio for college readiness with an
index of eighty three point four. The number one spot's
at eighty three point five, so it's a very tight
race there. But the average high school index in Ohio
for college readiness is around sixty seven percent, so very
high up there.
Speaker 1 (00:45):
Walnut Hills.
Speaker 3 (00:46):
Other regional high schools in our area follow very closely
behind as well, Indian Hill at number four and Madeira
coming in at number six. Just proves that Cincinnati is
the place to be out of all the same. He's
in Ohio all right, including and most certainly Columbus.
Speaker 1 (01:04):
Second, and three things you need to know this morning.
Speaker 3 (01:07):
I talked yesterday about the New Heights podcast being picked
up by Wonderly under Amazon for one hundred million, and
the episode. The first episode for that You Know platform
came out yesterday.
Speaker 1 (01:18):
Typical Travis and.
Speaker 3 (01:22):
Jason Kelsey fashion talking about football, et cetera.
Speaker 1 (01:25):
Adam Sandler was the surprise guest.
Speaker 3 (01:27):
I'm gonna have clips throughout the show, but Travis started
off the podcast talking about how he still represents Cincinnati
even when he's playing video games.
Speaker 2 (01:38):
Pat Mahome City finally brought a TV. Did you bring
a TV this year? Now?
Speaker 1 (01:42):
YouTube?
Speaker 2 (01:43):
YouTube TV? You can just watch it on your phone
product so you could play college football twenty.
Speaker 1 (01:47):
Five which I did jump on that.
Speaker 2 (01:49):
Yeah, how was it? I did jump on that. It's awesome,
And I won a national championship with Cincinnati, which I
always dreamed about doing. You played so much that you
went through an entire season of college football? Yeah, what
is it? Just like you're on there like fifteen minutes
a game and.
Speaker 1 (02:04):
Then still representing sency.
Speaker 3 (02:07):
Adam Sandler was a guest on there, as I had mentioned,
and they talked about Taylor Swift quite a bit.
Speaker 1 (02:11):
We're gonna have more of that coming up.
Speaker 3 (02:13):
In our seven o'clock hour, all right, and then lastly,
in three Things You Need to Know This Morning, I
love this for Nicky Glazier. She was announced as the
twenty twenty five Golden Globes host. Now there's a good
chance you'll come to my show to get the Golden
Globes recap when this thing airs on January fifth. You know,
I understand if you're not setting any reminders to watch
the Golden Globes. However, I think this is a good
(02:34):
look for Nicky Glazier. She got a ton of press
after the Tom Brady roast and she just did really
really well there and I'm glad her career is going
to the next level. Speaking of Taylor, Nicky Glazier was
once like quoted for making fun of Taylor and then
quickly became like one of the biggest swifties on the planet. Also,
(02:55):
we don't typically talk politics on this show unless it's
you know, breaking newsworthy, and of course I got you
on that, but I just found this so wild that
Swifties for Harris. Oh, and Taylor hasn't endorsed a presidential candidate.
Swifties for Harris raised like one hundred and thirty four
thousand dollars over zoom last night.
Speaker 1 (03:17):
And she wasn't even there, And she hasn't even endorsed
a candidate.
Speaker 3 (03:20):
Yet it's just like the swifty thing is just the
swifty lifty is a real thing, all right. That is
three things you need to know for the twenty ninth
of August coming up in our seven o'clock hour, we're
commercial free and this Sunday is our Western and Southern
WEBN fireworks. If you don't know the theme, it's I
(03:42):
Love the Nineties. So we're gonna run through some top
nineties songs and see if you can guess the title
and the lyrics.
