Speaker 1 (00:00):
Because you're waking up with fifth in the morning. Kiss Hi,
good morning.
Speaker 2 (00:04):
Come on in, sit down, relax, it's gross outside.
Speaker 1 (00:08):
We're gonna chat about how do I want to phrase this?
Speaker 2 (00:14):
I mean, yeah, it's about children in marriage, et cetera.
But I'm more so curious as someone who's single and
hasn't been married and have kids, how someone maybe in
this situation.
Speaker 1 (00:24):
Would feel about it. And you know how we do it.
Speaker 2 (00:26):
We take what's going on in the celebrity world and
we just kind of bring it back to our own
kitchen table every morning here in Cincinnati.
Speaker 1 (00:32):
So Sarah Elise from WEBN and good morning. Yeah, I work.
Galie said, happy to be here. And happy Friday. Happy Friday.
Speaker 3 (00:42):
That is the one positive about today. Like the weather sucks,
but at least the weekend is here.
Speaker 2 (00:46):
So true and you don't even really have to put
that much effort into your life on a Friday.
Speaker 1 (00:51):
You can just really skirt mine. I'm just trying to
coast yup. Ah.
Speaker 2 (00:55):
So, Jenna Dewan Tatum and Channing Tatum married back Intoy eighteen.
They have one daughter together named Everlen. I'm sorry they
were married before that. They separated in twenty eighteen. Okay,
so it's been six years.
Speaker 1 (01:10):
It's been six years since they separated.
Speaker 2 (01:12):
Since then, Jenna Dewan has moved on and is engaged
to someone else, and I believe she has two children
with that person, and as of recent Channing Tatum and
Zoe Kravitz got engaged. Okay, but yesterday news broke that
Channing and Jenna's divorce was finalized.
Speaker 3 (01:34):
Six years later and they're just now wrapping it up.
I don't is that a normal thing? But it takes
that long.
Speaker 1 (01:40):
Well, that's what I'm That's what I want to know.
I am confused.
Speaker 2 (01:43):
I thought, and I'm not naive to how miserable divorces
if you're a millennial. Most millennial parents have been divorced
and remarried far more times than they should have been.
Speaker 1 (01:53):
But divorce is so much more normalized these days.
Speaker 3 (01:57):
Yeah, I mean, sadly, I would have thought the process
would have been like a two or three month thing, though,
I mean, but I don't know.
Speaker 2 (02:05):
The report is that they had a hard time figuring
out the financials because both of their marital money went
into the Magic Mic series, which is funny.
Speaker 3 (02:18):
To think about, Okay, but six years to figure out finances?
Speaker 1 (02:24):
How complex? Was this?
Speaker 2 (02:25):
Right? And when you have that type of money, you
would think it would get you know, sped along. I
guess the part that I'm hung up on is how
are you supposed to move on with someone else?
Speaker 1 (02:37):
Engage with the engaged with? Channing Tatum?
Speaker 2 (02:41):
Well, for real, though, that man is fine and Jenna
she's stunning as well.
Speaker 1 (02:47):
I know, yep she is.
Speaker 2 (02:48):
How do you move on with someone, get engaged with them,
have kids with them, and still be tied legally to
someone else one?
Speaker 1 (02:54):
How does that actually work? In two?
Speaker 2 (02:57):
Isn't that messy? Isn't that like hard to process and internalized?
Speaker 3 (03:01):
You know, it's funny you bring this up. That's how
my sister's relationship started with her now husband. They've been
together for almost five years. But when they got together,
he goes, I'm gonna be real honest with you. I'm
still finalizing my divorce and I think as long as
both people are okay with it, then it's totally fine
given the circumstance. But I appreciate that he was open
(03:23):
with her about that. And he goes, I understand if
this isn't okay with you, but obviously they made it
out on the other side of.
Speaker 2 (03:29):
Thing, how long have they been How long were they
together while the divorce was finalizing.
Speaker 1 (03:32):
It was a few.
Speaker 2 (03:33):
Months, okay, so okay, tell me I feel a type
of way about this if I was dating someone and
they're like, hey, I'm still married to someone else and
we're in the midst of finalizing our divorce, or we
like it was we just never wanted to get divorced,
because it really is so much more of a legal
hassle than it is an emotional one. Sometimes I heavy
(03:56):
I don't think i'd be able to date somebody that
was still married to someone else or that told me, hey,
I'm in the process of getting divorced, because in my mind,
I'm like, you have too much going on in your
life to really be able to meet me where I
am in mine.
Speaker 3 (04:11):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (04:11):
I think it all just depends on the situation.
Speaker 3 (04:14):
My sister and her now husband, they've known each other
their entire lives. They went to school together, and she
was just okay with it. So really everyone's totally different
in this. I can't say one way or another. I'm married.
I can't imagine being with somebody though that is currently
married and they're figuring it out.
Speaker 1 (04:32):
That's a lot to take on. That's a lot to take.
Speaker 2 (04:34):
On, and and I feel like there's no way that
you can really commit to whatever it is that we're
trying to build while you're either a still married to
someone else because of legal and financials and things of
that nature. I understand baggage, for sure or emotionally, and
I just I'm already on the fence as it is
on whether or not I want to pursue a marriage
someday in my future.
Speaker 1 (04:55):
I don't think i'd be able to share. It's tough.
Speaker 3 (04:58):
I'll look around our house sometimes and I'll think about
people that are going through divorces, because you know, we
talk about a lot of celebrities going through that on
our show down the Haul at WEBN, and I'm looking
around at our house, like, God, I can't imagine trying
to like dig y'all this crap up and the finances
and the emotional part and going through divorces from friendships
that our marriage has brought together. There's so much to
(05:20):
think about when it comes to that sort of separation.
Speaker 2 (05:23):
What's wild You would stay with your husband simply because.
Speaker 1 (05:28):
Our little baby Doxy. You can't split the doxy and.
Speaker 2 (05:31):
You can't clean out the house with the Christmas decorations.
Speaker 1 (05:35):
I mean, this girl's chomping in to be ready to decorate.
Speaker 3 (05:37):
Girl, I have over thirty Christmas mugs. That alone is
enough to just keep the house together.
Speaker 2 (05:45):
Okay, here's what we're gonna do. Five and three, seven, four, nine,
one oh seven one. If you are in this situation,
maybe like Jenna and Channing or Sarah's sister, let me
know your insight on this and you can either talk
back with Tiff on iHeartRadio you'll see the microphone next
to the play button, or you can call me and
in the meantime, let's just think about Channing Tatum as
(06:07):
Magic Mike.
Speaker 1 (06:08):
That's fine with me. Hi, good morning.
Speaker 2 (06:13):
You're waking up with TIF in the morning on Kiss
one oh seven one. My curiosity has gotten the best
of me this morning. I had found out that Jenna
Dewan Tatum and Channing Tatum had separated back in twenty sixteen,
but they just finalized their divorce this week, six years later.
In the meantime, they've both since moved on and are
(06:33):
engaged to other people and have kids. I don't think
that that is uncommon, but my curiosity is spiking this morning.
So if something is happening in your life that's very similar,
there are multiple ways to get in touch. First, we're
gonna start with the phone lines.
Speaker 1 (06:48):
Hi, you're on the air.
Speaker 4 (06:49):
I separated from my husband in twenty and sixteen, and
we are still legally married, but we have both moved
on of our own families. As far as my reason
why is a safety precaution because he has done a
lot of unsafe things with like alcohol. So I have
a daughter with him and I don't want him to
(07:12):
have her on his own, so that would be the
reason why we haven't divorced.
Speaker 1 (07:17):
But we both have.
Speaker 4 (07:18):
Our own families outside of being separated.
Speaker 2 (07:20):
Okay, well I'm curious, so you're let's talk about your
partner right now. Do you think your partner feels the
type of way that you're still married to someone else.
Speaker 4 (07:33):
Only because we want to eventually get married ourselves, which
divorce will eventually happen once my daughter is a little
bit older. But other than like him feeling like it's
stopping us from living. No, we still have our son,
We still basically live together. We still have our life together.
(07:56):
Her father has his own child outside of us with
his girlfriend he's being for years and it's just never
thought though.
Speaker 1 (08:05):
Okay, what's your name? By the way, but nighborhod you
waking up with me in this.
Speaker 4 (08:07):
Morning, Tiffany and I'm from Milford.
Speaker 2 (08:11):
Tiffany, thank you for listening to Tiffany in the Morning.
Speaker 1 (08:15):
A good day, you too, Thank you for the call.
Speaker 2 (08:18):
I don't think that that answer is very uncommon. I'm
just struggling with the idea of potentially being in love
with someone and them still being married to someone else.
More than welcome to jump in on the convo by
dming me or you know, using the talkback feature if
(08:38):
you are on iHeartRadio. That's a good win. We're gonna
put a pin in this. Coming up two songs from now.
There's a list of banned words from a classroom. In
one of those words we use just about every single
day here on this show. Maybe you have a guest,
maybe you're a teacher and you've banned these same words
from your classroom. We'll talk about that in Tucson.
