You can get caught up on the news in about
seven minutes. That is my promise to you as the
host of the Seven podcast from the Washington Post, and
in that time I will run down seven stories, everything
from the most important headlines to fascinating new information you
might miss otherwise. My name's Hannah juwele go follow the
(00:23):
seven right now wherever you're listening, and we will get
you caught up.
Speaker 2 (00:32):
Glenn, you need to know she's got you. It's three
things with tif on kiss when I was seven one.
Speaker 3 (00:39):
Hi, good morning. We are just before eight o'clock. At
eight thirty, I have your chance and your last chance
to win. Justin Timberlake tickets for Wednesday show in Louisville.
It's worth the ride. I did make the drive to Reparma,
and I was so glad that I did.
Speaker 2 (00:53):
Let's start off.
Speaker 3 (00:54):
With Joe Burrow and of course our Bangals getting ready
to take on the Rams in the Sunday night game.
Speaker 2 (01:00):
I'm out in LA and this.
Speaker 3 (01:01):
Might have been the first time I've heard Joe Burrow use.
Speaker 2 (01:08):
Profanity at a press conference.
Speaker 3 (01:11):
You might have heard it before, this is the first time,
but it definitely had the media giggling.
Speaker 2 (01:15):
Listen to this.
Speaker 3 (01:16):
This is about receivers, depends. Sometimes it's on the sideline,
Sometimes it's a individual conversation in the locker room.
Speaker 2 (01:28):
Sometimes it's through you, guys.
Speaker 4 (01:30):
I know this.
Speaker 3 (01:31):
There's a lot of different ways that a receiver can
tell you, Hey, you get me the ball. The media
lost it, and then they went on to ask him,
you know, have you used that word before.
Speaker 2 (01:44):
In front of us? That first one? Sorry, guys, I'm
looking forward to the game.
Speaker 3 (01:53):
I have to find somewhere to watch it though, because
I don't have cable and that's very late.
Speaker 2 (01:58):
God, that's a late game.
Speaker 3 (02:00):
We need to win. He seemed like he was in
good spirits. Seems like the team's in a good mood.
Let's do it all right, a second and three things
you need to know this morning. Let's talk about this
Mike Tyson Jake Paul fight. First, we're gonna play some
audio from Jake Paul now kicks off on Netflix tonight.
I think the big card is, you know, in the
(02:22):
eight o'clock hour, Although some of the other fights might
start earlier, this is happening, I believe in Texas. Mike
Tyson slapped Jake Paul during the weigh in, and here's
a clip.
Speaker 2 (02:32):
He's angry. He's a angry little elf. Mike Tyson. I
thought that was a Q slap, buddy, But tomorrow you're
gonna knock fuck out.
Speaker 1 (02:46):
They must die.
Speaker 3 (02:49):
You have to know there's gotta be a lot of
fanfare with this, right. I mean, these guys both know
how to entertain. That's what's happening here. I had rattled
through some of the stats for Mike Tyson and Jake
Paul and yesterday's three things, but the one that's sticking
out to me the most is the year that Jake
Paul was born, Tyson was in his thirties and already
(03:11):
like a like several wins in at that point, several knockouts,
several wins.
Speaker 2 (03:17):
The other thing that's trending with.
Speaker 3 (03:18):
Tys is this bizarre interview that he did with this
little girl and Matt. She's gotta be maybe thirteen years
old if that, and this man just does not care.
After such a successful career, what type of legacy would
you like to leave behind when it's all said and done.
Speaker 5 (03:37):
Well, I don't know. I don't believe in the word legacy.
I think that's another word for ego. Legacy doesn't mean nothing.
That's just some word everybody grabbed on to. Someone said
that word, and everyone grabbed on the words, and I
was used every five seconds. It means absolutely nothing to me.
I'm just passing through. I'm gonna die and it's gonna
be over. Who cared about legacy after that? I'm gonna die.
(04:01):
I want people to think that I'm this, I'm great,
I'm non when nothing well, you have dead with dust,
absolutely nothing. Our legacy is nothing.
Speaker 2 (04:11):
Well, thank you so much for Sharre.
Speaker 3 (04:13):
That is something that I have not heard before someone
say that as an answer, and she was like okay,
and scene she handled it very well. Though, Like I
said that, he kicks off tonight. I also got to
figure out where I'm gonna watch that. Who's gonna air?
Someone DM me if your local bar is gonna be
airing the Netflix fight tonight?
Speaker 2 (04:34):
All right?
Speaker 3 (04:35):
And then, lastly, in three Things you Need to Know
this morning, let's revisit new music Friday. I had mentioned
earlier that Tate McCrae's got a new one out called
Two Hands if you want to search it. Also, a
new album announced for twenty twenty five in a tour. Unfortunately,
no dates coming to Sincy. Shawn Mendes has new music out,
but this one I think will put you in a
(04:55):
good mood.
Speaker 2 (04:56):
Of course.
Speaker 3 (04:56):
It's called good News and it's by Shaboozi. Second single
me so good, No.
Speaker 4 (05:03):
Send me sitting on cold shoot. Nobody knows with the
devils we saw one, So me living this up, me
trying to get away from me? Oh me, still start
singing these any means.
Speaker 5 (05:28):
So good?
Speaker 2 (05:29):
Right?
Speaker 4 (05:29):
I love it.
Speaker 3 (05:30):

I'm this, I'm great, I'm no wain nothing. Well it's dead,
but absolutely nothing.
