Speaker 1 (00:00):
Good morning.

Speaker 2 (00:01):
You're waking up with TIF in the morning, I had
kiss one O seven one on a post Oscars Monday.
We're commercial free for the rest of the hour. There
might be a chance that you dozed off during the performances, etc.
And some of the awards and speeches last night, So
of course we'll get to that here in a minute
or so. But I'm checking some of your talkbacks this morning,
just in case you wanted to weigh in.

Speaker 3 (00:20):
What she thought of the looks for the Oscars last night.
My favorite were Selena Gomez. She was just flawless head
to toe. I thought she just nailed it.

Speaker 2 (00:32):
Yeah, you know what. Agreed on Selena. I also thought
Ariana Grande looked beautiful, and a few others depending on
which carpet you were watching, whether it was for the
Oscars or for the Vanity Fair after party, because I'm
seeing some really good looks from there as well. Talk
back with TIF on that same iHeart Radio app. When
you see the microphone in the top right hand corner.
The microphone's right next to the play button. You two

(00:53):
can leave me voice notes on this Monday and what
you thought your thoughts were.

Speaker 1 (00:57):
Give me three or so minutes.

Speaker 2 (01:00):
I thought this was the worst Oscars that I have
seen in a while.

Speaker 1 (01:05):
I'll explain. Why don't go far. You're waking up like
fifth in the morning.

Speaker 2 (01:11):
I can't believe I stayed awake for this Oscars last night.
Good morning, Sarah Elise in on our Monday morning usual
chit chat roulette where we set the timer, we get
things ready to go, and we'll get right into it.
My boss said that we talked too much, so we
have to have this timer. Oh t minus five minutes,
okay on the clock? Go okay, Yeah, Let's start in

(01:33):
order of which they happened. Oscars Carpet moments.

Speaker 1 (01:36):
Yes, did you have a favorite moment from the Red Carpet?

Speaker 2 (01:39):
I thought the show started at eight, and in effects
started at seven, so I missed the carpet. But the
one I kept seeing a bunch was the Adrian Brody
and halle Berry kiss, which was everywhere. And I didn't
know that this was like a remake of some kiss
that they did years ago, so it looked odd to me.

Speaker 1 (01:54):
You know what, I didn't see a whole lot of
the Red Carpet stuff.

Speaker 4 (01:56):
I was doing a little bit of work yesterday, but
I was definitely too in right at seven o'clock to
see that ten minute performance by Cynthia Arrivo and Ariana Grande,
which it was flawless bye.

Speaker 2 (02:08):
By far, the best moment of the night was this
one right here.

Speaker 5 (02:15):
No wizard that there is.

Speaker 2 (02:17):
As you just hear how strong Cynthia Arrivo's voice is,

(02:38):
It's just so natural.

Speaker 4 (02:40):
It was, Oh my god, it brought me to tears.
I was texting with our buddy Bobby in Promotions and
we both said the same thing at the exact same time,
bawling because I feel like most of America was doing
just that watching these two. And I loved Arianna just
kind of staring at her in complete awe and support.
It was the most beautiful moment of the It was

(03:00):
between that and the other. The other highlight seeing Adam
Sandler in the audience with his Jim Shortz before.

Speaker 2 (03:06):
We get to the hosting moments.

Speaker 1 (03:07):
That was funny.

Speaker 2 (03:08):
The red dress was the sparkly red dress she wore
was an ode to the ruby.

Speaker 4 (03:13):
Slippers, yes, and it was gorgeous and it was something
that nobody was expecting, especially for Arianna to open up
and sing somewhere over the rainbow it was just beautiful.

Speaker 2 (03:23):
That's where we should have stopped watching the Oscars was
immediately after that performance, because the rest of it was
the like not.

Speaker 1 (03:31):
Great, three and a half hours of my life I'll
never get never get back. It could have been an
I talked way, way, way, way.

Speaker 2 (03:37):
Too much, like they need this timer, the one that
we have every time we do Chit chat roulette.

Speaker 6 (03:41):
Es.

Speaker 2 (03:41):
Conan O'Brien fine, I mean, he's a professional, good at
what he did, but it was just so long and
drawn out, so unnecessary.

Speaker 4 (03:48):
Well, they tried to get the speeches to wrap up,
but Adrian Brody, oh my god.

Speaker 7 (03:55):
I have to Yeah, it's not you, No, it's not you.

Speaker 1 (03:59):
It's him.

Speaker 3 (04:02):
You cause this.

Speaker 1 (04:03):
But He'm sorry. I'm sorry.

Speaker 2 (04:05):
Adam Sandler's showing up in jim shorts is something you'll
see on social media, and I thought that was a
funny skit. You know, he had gone up to Timothy Shallome
and did the whole showy.

Speaker 4 (04:13):
Oh it's good, Yeah, shall Am I snubbed by the way.

Speaker 1 (04:16):
We'll get to that in one second.

Speaker 2 (04:18):
The last Conan moment that I think you'll see is
the Kendrick Lamar comment.

Speaker 7 (04:21):
We're halfway through the show, which means it's time for
Kendrick Lamar to come out and call Drake a pedophile.

Speaker 2 (04:29):
I think the writers bet him like twenty bucks or
so that he wouldn't come out and say that joke,
but he did.

Speaker 1 (04:34):
I was not expecting that from Conan. I went to
my husband and I said, oh, Burn, all right, let's
talk awards. That happens every year.

Speaker 2 (04:46):
The award shows are a stark reminder that my tastes
are just completely different than the people that choose these awards.

Speaker 4 (04:53):
I never want to hear the name Amelia Perez or
a Norse Shoe.

Speaker 1 (04:57):
Or a Nora or any of.

Speaker 8 (05:00):
I'm annoyed at the fact that annoying dude, as Arianna's
biggest fan and supporter her not getting Best Supporting Actress
is absolutely insane to me.

Speaker 2 (05:11):
Are you drawing any correlation between the fact that Barbie
didn't really win a lot of movies last year, but
did so well in the box office and financially and
just changed culture for that year. It's got to be
ranged the same thing with Wicked this year, money in
the box office changed culture and then really didn't pick
up anything of value.

Speaker 1 (05:29):
Literally, Yes, I think they got best Costume and No
Wonder Cynthia Rino. They painted her grain it took them
six hours.

Speaker 4 (05:38):
And best Production Designed. Those are the two for Wicked.

Speaker 2 (05:41):
All Right, we got to move on to at least
one more speech that I think will get a lot
of attention. Is Kieren Colkin picking up Best Supporting Actor.
I love this one.

Speaker 7 (05:49):
A year ago from the stage like this, and I
very stupidly publicly said that I want a third kid
from her because she said if I won the award,
I would she would give me the kid.

Speaker 6 (05:57):
Uh.

Speaker 7 (05:57):
It turns out she said that because she didn't think
I was gonna win. But and people came up to
her and were like, you know, uh, really annoying her.
I think I think it got to her. But anyway,
after the show, we're walking through a parking lot. She's
holding the Emmy. We're trying to find her car. Emily,
you were there, so your witness, And she goes, oh god,
I did say that. I guess I owe you a
third kid. And I turned to her and I said, really,

(06:18):
I want four, and she turned me. I swear to
god this happened. It was just over a year ago.
She said, I will give you four when you win
an Oscar.

Speaker 6 (06:28):
Zero.

Speaker 2 (06:28):
I love it. That was probably the sweetest speech moment.
Zoe's eld on and did a good job as well.
But Timothy didn't win. Kylie Jenner was there.

Speaker 4 (06:37):
I know, and Timothy even showed up in the all
bright yellow. I'm like, there's your best actor right there.
I just watched a complete unknown on Friday and like, oh,
for sure he's going to get that for his portrayal
of Bob Dylan.

Speaker 1 (06:48):
No, no, all right.

Speaker 2 (06:50):
Thank you, Sarah, I appreciate you. In the meantime, we're
still commercial commercial free. If you ended up staying up
through the entire night for that, God speed on your workday.

Speaker 1 (07:00):
Hi, good morning.

Speaker 2 (07:00):
You're waking up with tif in the morning on Kiss
one oh seven one commercial free for the rest of
the hour. I'm sure much needed on a Monday with
it being a little on the chili side out there.
So if you didn't get a chance to watch the
Oscars Red Carpet last night, I thought, this is one
of my favorite moments with Bow and Yang. If you
didn't know this, he did Saturday Night Live with Tate

(07:20):
McCrae and Shane Gillis and then made it to the
oscars on the other side of the country by the
very next day. And you know what he did it
by using one common thing that you and I might
see day to day.

Speaker 1 (07:32):
Tell me, how did you get here today? Because you're
on S and L last night.

Speaker 6 (07:35):
So did you take the Disney Oscar jet? I did
not take the Disney Oscar jet. I was a man
of the people. I want to keep my carbon footprint low,
and so I just took the six am out of
JFK and here I am retired. No, no, okay, did
you sleep on the fl.

Speaker 1 (07:52):
Left on the flight?

Speaker 6 (07:53):
And Celsius is one of our great scientific convention.

Speaker 1 (07:57):
Oh chumping Celsius.

Speaker 2 (07:59):
I'm sure we could all use a little caffeine at
this point in the morning. In the meantime, we're still
commercial free. Coming up around seven point fifty. I'll dive
into the three things you need to know to get
your day started incensey, so don't go far
