Speaker 1 (00:00):
Because you're waking up fifth in the morning.
Speaker 2 (00:02):
Kiss one Baseball is bag Baby Reds Opening Day, and
if you are looking to upgrade your Reds gear this season,
like I'm talking, you're going to the banks, or you're
inside GABP and someone taps you on the.
Speaker 1 (00:16):
Shoulder and they're like, where did you get that? And
you say, not the pro shop, Nope.
Speaker 2 (00:22):
This is one of a kind, unique custom like maybe
glowing up your style was on your vision board for.
Speaker 1 (00:29):
Twenty twenty five. I'm so excited to.
Speaker 2 (00:31):
Introduce you to Josh, who is the founder of a
company called Thread Legends, which creates unique, one of one pieces. Josh,
first of all, welcome to my show, and thank you
so much for joining us. Talk to me a little
bit about the creation of Thread Legends and where this
idea came from.
Speaker 1 (00:47):
Because these pieces are so cool.
Speaker 3 (00:49):
I don't know how we even got here.
Speaker 1 (00:50):
People got it.
Speaker 3 (00:51):
I do you know the feeling I got making myself
something and people saying that that's so cool. I wouldn't
to other people would feel that and be able to
offer that didn't know how to do it, but.
Speaker 1 (01:01):
You figured it out.
Speaker 2 (01:01):
Because the piece that I'm wearing today is so cool,
walk me through a little bit of this.
Speaker 3 (01:06):
You know, I knew this is idea. I wanted something
mid nineties, kind of Midwestern rustic, had some flavor into it,
and very well looked worn. So that's what I did
with you. But then it was really hard because you're
a very simple person, thank you. I mean not simple,
but yeah, yeah, it's not. You don't want a really loud,
big thing on you. So I had to like kind
(01:28):
of go through. Actually I grabbed that radio station. That's
a file from like nineteen ninety nine.
Speaker 2 (01:33):
All right, it looks like our seven hundred WLW tower
on the back, and it's got my name on it.
It's got a CD on it to kind of pay
tribute to the fact that I'm on the radio. And
when you're making a piece for someone, like if somebody
in Cincinnati they come to you and they say, hey,
I really want to make a custom piece for my
dad for Father's Day because he's a big sports fan.
Speaker 1 (01:55):
What would you need out of them?
Speaker 3 (01:57):
I would send him to a website and then I
have a little I say, I guess you say of like,
you know, just an inquiry form, yeah, and it says,
you know, what's this for how many pieces we're trying
to do. What's the main goal of this thing.
Speaker 2 (02:08):
It's a really special gift to give someone a piece
of custom Thread Legends gear, whether you want a hat
or a jacket.
Speaker 1 (02:16):
T shirt, blazer, sports coat.
Speaker 2 (02:19):
Really talk about some of the pieces that you made
that have been really unique to you.
Speaker 3 (02:23):
I've done some bags, some custom bags.
Speaker 2 (02:27):
We talk about making a custom piece because I saw
this Bill Murray piece and it's Ghostbusters theme.
Speaker 1 (02:33):
Yeah, did he ask for that? How did that come about?
Speaker 3 (02:35):
I didn't even know he got it? Or Oh I
knew he got it, but I didn't know he's gonna
wear it.
Speaker 1 (02:40):
When not only did he wear it, he like wore it. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (02:43):
So then I had my girlfriend's mother called me, Yeah,
the Monday after he wore it on a Friday. Yeah,
She's like, I think he wore your jacket. I'm like what,
So I go back and then I found out he'd
want it multiple days. He wore like two different interviews.
Speaker 2 (02:59):
He was just like, because Josh, your stuff is really
really unique to you, and you're being very humble right now.
But it's definitely a craft, it's definitely a skill. What
do you think separates thread Legends from like your normal
like anthropology or somewhere else, you know, outside of the
fact that it's one of one.
Speaker 1 (03:18):
I guess maybe that would make it unique. But what
is it? What separates it?
Speaker 3 (03:22):
Just the will to make sure it's like it's the
best I could give.
Speaker 2 (03:26):
You've got to check out the thread Legends booth today
outside of more Line. Myself, John John, We're all going
to be there and you'll see some of these really.
Speaker 1 (03:35):
Unique custom pieces.
Speaker 2 (03:36):

my god Father's Day's coming up, or I too want
some good gear for this coming season, go to thread
legends dot online for your chance to check it out.
On top of that, he's going to be giving away
some stuff at more Line lockerhouse this afternoon, so you'll
