Speaker 1 (00:00):
You're waking up with fifth in the morning.

Speaker 2 (00:02):
Kiss what I was seven one Good morning. We're back
full force. I was a in Dublin for a week
for a solo trip to Europe mixed in with a
wedding coming up. Around eight thirty, you have a chance
to win a pack of tickets to Land of Illusion

(00:23):
and it's about seven thousand degrees outside, so perfect timing
on that you will need the keyword broken wrist. We're
going to talk about your destination wedding stories. Maybe this
is your story someone in your inner circle or a
friend of a friend, but has something major ever happened
while you were traveling for a destination whinnying. I could

(00:45):
not believe the story.

Speaker 1 (00:47):
I felt so.

Speaker 2 (00:48):
Bad for everyone involved, all but the mother of the groom,
like just days before the wedding in Ireland broke her
wrist and shipped her front tooth, bruised her whole face
while in Ireland, a couple of days before the wedding,
and of course we get this like via text message

(01:10):
and group messages from other people, you know, as we're
all arriving, We're like, oh my god, oh my god.
So it was a couple of days until I got
the full story. But once we eventually all got together
on Wednesday in Carlo, Ireland, I was like, Jenna, you
need to give me the full debris. Shout out to Jenna.
She's so sweet and she had such high spirits throughout
the entire thing. Like, imagine not only as your son

(01:30):
getting married and you're like almost front and center in
every photo video moment, but you're also dealing with like
major injury and insurance while in a foreign country. Couldn't
believe it. I felt so bad for her, so debrief
on it is. I think she might have been in
Dublin and there are a lot of cobblestone streets in

(01:51):
that area, right of course, and her husband, of course,
my husband wasn't paying attention and tripped and took her
out to the point where she broke her fall on
her wrist and chipped her front tooth, painful, wild And
I think it might have been like within the first

(02:12):
day or two that she was in Ireland. And so
because the universe sometimes gives you like a horrible situation,
it also gives you a gift. A dentist from Ireland
happened to be like walking around around the same area
and came over and just like ran to her side
and helped her. But she needed an ambulance, so she
took the ambulance, went to the hospital, got full blown

(02:35):
surgery on her wrist, and was casted with bruised fingers
for the rest of the trip, had this bruise on
her face, a little bit of a gash on her lip.
And then she was able to get into a dentist
I guess within the same day, maybe maybe the next day,
and get a like a temporary crown or cap put
on her front tooth.

Speaker 1 (02:55):
Guys, it cost her zero.

Speaker 2 (02:58):
Dollars, isn't that nuts?

Speaker 1 (03:01):
Zero dollars.

Speaker 2 (03:02):
They were able to get it done like within twenty
four hours, and she was off to living her life
again and at the wedding within like forty eight hours, nuts,
isn't that crazy? Imagine? And she still looked absolutely stunning
and by the way, shout out to Shannon and her
parents put on like the most gorgeous wedding that I'll

(03:23):
never be able to unsee if you're a visual person.
At the tiff two f's Potter like the wizard, I
could not believe how poorly like that situation could have gone,
And how it ended up going. So let's do this
five one, three, seven, four nine, one oh seven one.
Destination wedding stories. I want to hear them. Broken wrist
is the keyword for the tickets. In a few minutes.
Good morning, you're waking up a tip in the morning

(03:44):
on kiss one oh seven one. Broken wrist is the
keyword you're gonna need to win the Land of Illusion.
It passes. It's seven eight hundred and fifty degrees outside,
So perfect timing on that here in a few minutes.
So we're in the midst of talking about your wedding
horror stories. I would be hard pressed to find another
Cincinnati and that experienced the broken wrist and chipped tooth

(04:05):
that I just saw in Dublin, Ireland from my friend's wedding.
But let's start with you. You're on the air, Hi, I was.

Speaker 1 (04:11):
Calling in with a horror story for the wedding.

Speaker 2 (04:15):
Yes, you do feel bad that you have one, but
I am excited to hear it. Go ahead, Its.

Speaker 1 (04:20):
Okay, it ended up well. Okay, So we also had
a destination wedding. We actually went down to the Seaside
area in Florida, had all of our family probably twenty
people all came down for our wedding, and my sister
was carrying the groom's wedding band on her thumb, and

(04:42):
as she's walking down the aisle, apparently bent over to
pick something up, ring goes off of with somemb into
the sand. No, well, no one thought to stop me
and my dad coming down the aisle, so I guess
in the moment, my room grabbed his dad's wedding band

(05:04):
and thought that that would just suffice for the moment.
So if they had stopped everything, we probably wouldn't have
trampled sand all over where the ring had been. But
we come down the aisle not knowing we were saying
our vows. Nobody prepared me for this. So we'd go
to put rings on and it's a yellow gold band.

(05:29):
I knew the band that we that we picked was
white gold or titanium. So I stopped the wedding. We
all had to go, like every member of the wedding party.
All of the guests are all down on our hands
and knees in the sand. I wasn't the groom, to
his credit, wouldn't let me look forward. They went not

(05:53):
like a little strainer from the resort kitchens. Yeah, and
fifteen sands. They good?

Speaker 2 (06:01):
Good, okay, good. What's your name? By the way, what Neghbharad?
You call me from?

Speaker 1 (06:05):
My name is Chat and I'm calling from Cincinnati.

Speaker 2 (06:07):
Thanks to the call, Cat, I appreciate you. Okay, that
ended up okay, listen both The thing in common about
both of these wedding stories that they were horrible at
first but ended up being okay. If you can give
me a few minutes. Broken risks is the keyword for
your chance to win the Land of Illusion tickets. If
you have a story, you can talk back with Tiff
on the iHeartRadio app Do Not Go Far. You're waking

(06:30):
up with Tiff in the morning on CHISS one O
seven to one. Hey, good morning, if you can forgive
my tardiness. We're all kind of getting back into the
swing of things. Maybe this is your first time walking
into the show as well. This morning, every day around
this time, we're stamping your sincy summer passport with a
new adventure out the house and I'm picking up the tabs.
So if you'd like to go to Land of Illusion,
since it's four hundred and eighty seven thousand degrees outside,

(06:51):
you and you have the keyword that I mentioned earlier
this hour, go ahead and start dialing. Call her ten
five win, three seven, four nine one seven one. I'll
get you in to land of Illusion again. Collar ten
if you want those tickets five one, three, seven, four
nine one oh seven one. Good luck. In the meantime,
we're still commercial free for a hair longer.
