Speaker 1 (00:01):
You're waking up with fifth in the morning.
Speaker 2 (00:02):
Hun kiss hella, good Hello, good morning. We back, mabe,
we are back. How are you?
Speaker 3 (00:15):
First of all, Mother Nature also made a harsh comeback
this weekend. Whoo tamlines for days. We're not even at
the tamline. We're a burnt city. Oh it's good to
chit chat and catch up with you if you're like,
what's going on, tiv. I just turned my radio on
and here I am, or I turned my phone on.
I had been traveling Ireland this past week. I went
(00:38):
on a big solo adventure and met up with some
friends for a wedding as well as a little combination
of the both. And oh, there's so much to debrief,
of course, which we'll do around seven twenty is this morning,
but I want to take the first couple of minutes
of the show to get settled in touch base a
little bit.
Speaker 2 (00:53):
Make sure your weekend was okay.
Speaker 3 (00:55):
Make sure that you found someone to date that has
an air conditioner.
Speaker 2 (00:59):
Because my god, what a treat that was.
Speaker 3 (01:08):
Shout out to those that are still rocking the window
units in their apartments for air conditioning. Man, I know
I'm not one to complain about the weather when it's
hot in summary, because I love that, but it is
quite a difference, you know, coming out that little tiny
bedroom with that AC window unit and then going into the.
Speaker 2 (01:26):
Main room and being like.
Speaker 3 (01:29):
I have no problem coming to work now that that's
air conditioning right anyway, So yeah, well debrief on Ireland
around seven twenty is this morning. I also want to
continue to stamp your Sincy Summer passport with your chance
to go to Land of Illusion. I've got gift cards
to Oakley Greens, like I just want to get you
up and out of the house and pay for the tab.
Speaker 2 (01:47):
So that's coming up later on in the show.
Speaker 3 (01:49):
And then we are one week away from this one
thing with the Bengals, which i'll dive into in three
things you need to know. That was a lot to cover,
I know, against a little bit of the rules here
that I usually do on the show one thing at
a time, But my brain's going a mile a minute.
Speaker 2 (02:02):
So if you and I are not.
Speaker 3 (02:03):
Connected yet at the TIF to f's potter like the
Wizard to start tapping through some of the Ireland pictures,
which we're gonna get to at seven twenty. And then
I often recommend searching kiss on iHeart Radio, that same
phone that you're on that way. You don't miss a thing, baby,
We've got a big show ahead of us. Good morning,
Chuck's gonna look at the ride for you.
Speaker 4 (02:20):
When you need to know she's got you. It's three
Things with tiff On Ki.
Speaker 2 (02:26):
Hey, good morning.
Speaker 3 (02:28):
If you're an NBA fan, you see Teres Haliburn last night.
We'll get to that in a hot sec We're just
suppose before seven o'clock on the first official Monday of summer.
Speaker 2 (02:37):
We made it to June.
Speaker 3 (02:39):
I'm going to continue to stamp your Sincy summer passport
here at seven thirty with a shot at a gift
card to Oakley Greens.
Speaker 2 (02:44):
We'll get you out the house, okay, Mini golf and
drinks on meat.
Speaker 3 (02:48):
All right, Before we get to the NBA Finals, let's
actually start off with the weather.
Speaker 2 (02:51):
We broke our record yesterday.
Speaker 3 (02:52):
For the first time in twenty twenty five, we surpassed
the ninety degree mark.
Speaker 2 (02:57):
Yesterday was the official day that we did.
Speaker 3 (02:59):
It actually came about a solid week to two weeks
later than it normally does. June ninth is usually when
we see our first ninety degree day, and with that being.
Speaker 2 (03:09):
Said, I mean it is hot, hot, tat tat, tat
out there.
Speaker 3 (03:11):
It's going to be in the nineties feeling like one
hundred over the next couple of days. Cooling centers are open.
It actually led to Lli de la Cruz falling. I
saw this like ill on Saturday because of the heat,
and it it led to a very rare mid match
cooling break during Club World Cup qualifiers that were happening
at TQL on Saturday as well.
Speaker 2 (03:28):
So I'm sure you're feeling it. It is hot out there.
Speaker 3 (03:32):
A shout out to all of our lifeguards, especially those
at Ziegler Pool. I spent a lot of time at
the pool in Pendleton, and you know they're working hard
this weekend, and so take advantage of that resource. I
do it all the time. It's only four bucks. You
do need a reservation. But we'll have hot temperatures to
the next couple of days. That's for sure. Summer has arrived.
It only took the first six months to get here. Second,
and three things you need to know this morning.
Speaker 2 (03:52):
Listen.
Speaker 3 (03:52):
I think violent crime and gun violence is a topic
of conversation because it's been very prevalent over the last
couple of weeks. In fact, on Thursday there was a
camp counselor that was shot and killed in downtown, and
that was a story I was getting caught up on
on my return from Ireland. Also one happened late last
night early this morning across the air and off center.
It's still very much being investigated, but I do know,
(04:13):
and I'm right alongside you, especially as someone that spends
a ton of time in downtown and OTR and such,
that violent crime is up, especially from the news of
Patrick Heringer, etc. So I'll keep my eyes posted on
that for you and share any insight. I think the
city is still waiting on, you know, answers and for
someone to say something, all right. And then lastly, in
(04:35):
three things you need to know if you're an NBA fan,
the Pacers ended up taking the l last night in
Game seven. We went all the way to a Game
seven now in Indiana. I'll play a clip here for you.
In a hot second, I just lost it. Here we go,
Thunder taking home the win, Well.
Speaker 1 (04:53):
Thunder taking the NBA by store for the first time,
the NBA champion RESI well, all those sort of the
story books sis the first couplet.
Speaker 3 (05:03):
One hundred and three to ninety one. Therees Halliburton achilles
tendon I think is confirmed. You know, that's how my
Celtics lost too. With Jason Tatum. He'll be busted his
achilles tendon. All right, that is three things you need
to know for the twenty third of June. I'm back
from Ireland and we're going to do a full debrief.
And what's the one thing I learned about solo travel?
And what's the what are some of the things that
(05:24):
might maybe you need to know about if you're going
to be traveling too, coming up around seven to twenty.
The best way if you have any questions about solo
travel or about Ireland, if there's something you saw in
my stories and you want to participate in the conversation,
talk back with Tiff on that same iHeartRadio app I
mentioned all the time.
Speaker 2 (05:40):
We'll do that at seven twenty.
Speaker 4 (05:41):
You're waking up fifth in the morning, kiss on seven one,
good and rainy.
Speaker 2 (05:47):
Hai.
Speaker 3 (05:49):
I'm back, baby Tiff in the morning, returning full force
after a week long solo trip to Ireland.
Speaker 2 (05:58):
And let me tell you I'm coming back a Galway girl.
Speaker 3 (06:17):
You know, if you happen to be walking into Tiff
in the morning for like the very first time, and
you and I are not connected on social media.
Speaker 2 (06:24):
I went on.
Speaker 3 (06:25):
A solo trip to Dublin, and I talk a lot
about doing stuff on social media and on the show solo,
So this was a really big moment for me. If
you're a visual person, I've started putting stuff up at
the Tiff to F's potter.
Speaker 2 (06:39):
Like the Wizard.
Speaker 3 (06:40):
If you want to tap through my stories at the
same time of listening to this, forgive me. It's probably
gonna feel a hair longer than it normally does. And
I'm gonna try to tamper my rambling, but when I
get excited about something, my ADHD brain kind of takes over.
Speaker 2 (06:54):
So I'm gonna do my best to like just shoot
it straight.
Speaker 3 (06:57):
So things that I learned I can do on comfortable,
hard things, and I don't think we often do that
as adults. I think, think about your life and when
the lane, when's the last time you did something that
was like completely new and weird and uncomfortable, right, So
that was a big push for me, and I wanted
(07:17):
to do this so that I could create a blueprint.
That's kind of what I refer to my life as
like everything I do, I'm just creating a blueprint that
I can refer back to when I need to do
it again in the future. I wanted to create a
blueprint on doing something by myself somewhere that was like
new for me, just in case I wanted to do
it again. And I did that, and I'm proud of
myself for that. What was my biggest fear and guess
(07:37):
what it came true.
Speaker 2 (07:38):
I didn't have cell service, and.
Speaker 3 (07:41):
It wasn't necessarily so I could like text people and
go on Instagram.
Speaker 2 (07:44):
It was so that I felt safe and could Uber.
Speaker 3 (07:48):
And my phone company doesn't offer a data plant, so
I bought an eSIM and I couldn't figure it out
and my phone wasn't connecting to it. In fact, that
was the very first thing that I did when I
landed in Dublin. It was like a really immersive root
awake and I granted, everyone is so nice, and of
course it's English speaking too. I had to sit in
the airport and baggage claim for like thirty minutes and
try and figure.
Speaker 2 (08:07):
Out, Holy moly, what am I doing.
Speaker 3 (08:09):
And I kind of remember sitting there being like Tiff,
this is exactly why you did this trip. So relax,
try not to panic, and just take it one step
at a time. That's the thing about being uncomfortable. It
is literally one foot in front of the other. I
would not travel again without cell service. I would change
(08:30):
like carriers before I did that again. And it used
to be cool, like you can connect and Dublin.
Speaker 2 (08:34):
It was fine.
Speaker 3 (08:34):
You can connect to Wi Fi and download offline maps,
and I made it work. But because we're in modern
twenty twenty five, no matter what country you're in, you're
using Uber and you have to have Wi Fi to
get Uber. So I think the universe helped me out
a little bit on.
Speaker 2 (08:48):
Some of this stuff.
Speaker 3 (08:49):
You know, you kind of have to It's one another
thing I learned. You kind of have to be like,
all right, let's just like take it as it comes.
And I think gen Z tends to and even Millennials
try to be like plan every second down to the wire,
and with this stuff, you tend to just have to
let it go. Another thing that I learned is four days.
(09:09):
If you're interested on whether or not you want to
do a solo trip, four days is probably the max.
Speaker 2 (09:14):
I would say three nights, four days, is like.
Speaker 3 (09:16):
Plenty, and it doesn't always have to be all or nothing.
Speaker 2 (09:20):
Right.
Speaker 3 (09:21):
I realize this too, like we tend to we want
to like if we're gonna do it, we gotta do.
Speaker 2 (09:25):
It one hundred percent.
Speaker 3 (09:26):
Even just going out for a solo dinner by yourself
is something and maybe you two can work into the future.
It took me three years to feel comfortable enough going
to a country on my own.
Speaker 2 (09:38):
And everyone's heart is different. That's something too.
Speaker 3 (09:41):
You know, maybe not having cell service in a foreign
country doesn't bother you, but everyone's heart is different.
Speaker 2 (09:47):
So trip itself was lovely.
Speaker 3 (09:49):
We ended up with beautiful weather for the majority of
the time, with the exception of the day that I
land at poured rain. In Dublin, I did the Daddy jamisonour.
Let me tell you, Daddy Jame did not disappoint. I
would say it was probably one of my favorite tours
that I went on in Dublin. Did a lot of
walking around the city itself reminded me of really any
city center like it was very Boston, actually very Boston.
(10:11):
And we went to a wedding that was the reason
why I was there outside of solo. So I did
a little bit of solo light. In the beginning, I
was by myself. I went to Carlow and let me
tell you about this wedding. I mean, it was the
most prettiest scenery I have ever seen in my life.
Like that's the thing about Ireland and Scotland, I hear
it is like your eyeballs, You're like, what am I
(10:33):
looking at? And I drink an espresso martini while petting
a horse on this farm in Carlow.
Speaker 2 (10:44):
It was. It was such a time.
Speaker 3 (10:46):
And the thing about that part of Ireland that I
didn't realize is that, like it get's remote. Like we
were calling we were calling a cab number. When's the
last time you dialed like one eight hundred. I need
a cab, like and come pick me up. That's how remote.
It was beautiful scenery and the bride was just stunning.
(11:08):
If you're the Brad and I are good friends here
from Cincinnati, and her families went there and put on
such an amazing event with they literally cooked the food
outside in front of us. You know, when you do
a wedding here, they make all the food in the
back and they bring it out in that silver tin.
Speaker 2 (11:24):
And sometimes it's cold and sometimes it's warm.
Speaker 3 (11:27):
They grilled the tender lorne in front of me, Espresso martini,
petting horse grilled, so no horse was not grilled. We
spent a couple of days there. That was a good time,
and then I made my way back to Dublin. I
did a day trip to Galway on my own, which
was a really cool experience to do the city by myself.
Speaker 2 (11:48):
Saw the Cliffs of More and that was great.
Speaker 3 (11:50):
And then if if you're familiar with the show, Tom
Brady is the guy that I've been dating. His roommate
happened to be in Dublin at the same time I was.
He took me out, we had it, we went, we
went dancing all night. I mean, that was That's a
story in itself. Maybe we can table that for a
different time, but overall.
Speaker 2 (12:11):
So exciting, happy to be back with you.
Speaker 3 (12:13):
If you have any questions, if you're a visual person,
you know at the tiff to F's Potter like the Wizard.
It's always my goal to just inspire maybe one person
to do something that they're uncomfortable with, and I hope
that I was able to do that for maybe just
one Cincinnatian. Would I do a solo trip again, solo light.
I think doing something by yourself and being by yourself
(12:34):
is super important. I don't know if I could see
myself doing a longer trip alone.
Speaker 2 (12:39):
All right, that's the debrief. We're going to continue to
stay up here since the summer passport.
Speaker 3 (12:44):
Give me a few minutes seven thirty your chance to
win tickets to Oakley Greens.
Speaker 1 (12:48):
You're waking up with stiff in the morning seven one.
Speaker 2 (12:51):
All right, I forgive me.
Speaker 3 (12:52):
I didn't realize it was already seven thirty.
Speaker 2 (12:55):
That's so quick.
Speaker 3 (12:55):
We're past seven thirty at this point where stancing is,
we're stancing and singing with singing. I am stamping your
sincey summer passport with a gift card to Oakley Greens.
Speaker 2 (13:05):
Right now.
Speaker 3 (13:05):
You've been yeah, golfing, beverages, TVs, roasting sun ice cream,
all of your favorites. It's our goal to kind of
get you out the house and we'll pay for the tab.
Speaker 2 (13:15):
So caller ten. You don't even need a keyword, just
great timing on your.
Speaker 3 (13:19):
Behalf five one three, seven four nine one oh seven
to one. I've got an open phone line with your
name on it if you want to go. Let's check
talk facts it's been a minute since you and I

Speaker 1 (13:32):

Speaker 5 (13:36):

Speaker 1 (13:38):
Thank you, hope you enjoyed your time off. You look amazing,
welcome home.
Speaker 2 (13:44):
Well, thank you very much. Hunter is a truck driver
throughout Virginia.
Speaker 3 (13:47):
I believe I was just debriefing you on the Ireland
Dublin solo trip. If you and I are not connected,
I'm rapid fire putting up all of the pictures.
Speaker 2 (13:55):
So at the tip to F's potter like the Wizard. Okay,
I've got.
Speaker 3 (13:58):
One more UM phone LINEE come on call it ten
since he summer passport for that Oakley Greens gift card.
Good luck five one three seven four nine one oh
seven one. In the meantime, we're still commercial free with
eminem for my guy Josh.
Speaker 1 (14:12):
You're waking up with Tiff in the morning on Kiss
one O seven one.
Speaker 3 (14:15):
I must be just getting back from vacation with my
brain because there's no keyword.
Speaker 6 (14:18):
Hi.
Speaker 1 (14:19):
You are you are?
Speaker 2 (14:20):
Congratulations your caller ten?
Speaker 1 (14:22):
Oh my gosh, cool, Thanks.
Speaker 3 (14:23):
You are super welcome. We're stamping your sincey summer passport.
I'm gonna give you a gift card to Oakley Green
so you can go have yourself a little day with
friends or family or by yourself solo.
Speaker 2 (14:32):
At that point, heck y okay, what's your name with neighbor?
Are you waking up with me?
Speaker 5 (14:36):
And Abby?
Speaker 6 (14:37):
Quark?
Speaker 5 (14:37):
And I'm out from Amelia.
Speaker 3 (14:39):
Abby, you are the first person that I have talked
to in person in a week, so it is good
to hear your voice.
Speaker 2 (14:45):
I'm back from Ireland.
Speaker 1 (14:47):
Yes, it's really so cool.
Speaker 5 (14:48):
I can't wait to go see your social media.
Speaker 2 (14:50):
Yeah, you got it.
Speaker 3 (14:51):
I'm like trying to rapid fire put up the stories
right now. But thank you so much for listening to
Tiff in the morning. Of course, do a solo Have
you done a solo trip?
Speaker 7 (15:01):
I've not, but man, I haven't done it, but for
sure want to.
Speaker 3 (15:04):
We keep cutting out a little bit there, but yeah,
that's my whole goal.
Speaker 2 (15:08):
Hopefully I inspire you to do something. Yeah, all right.
Speaker 3 (15:12):
At the TIF to F's Potter like the Wizard if
you too want to look, I'm such a visual person.
I need like the girlies need the debrief, we need
the visuals. I need every single detail. So that's why
I do it the way I do, just in case
you happen to be like me. Can we trade each
other a couple of minutes of your time. I know
there's a lot going on, and you're hot and you're sweating,
but if you can sit in your car with the
(15:33):
air conditioner a few minutes longer, we'll dive into the
three things you need to know to get your day started.
Speaker 2 (15:37):
In Sincy.
Speaker 3 (15:38):
The Bengals are one week out, one week out from
this one thing.
Speaker 2 (15:44):
What is it? We'll get to it now when you
need to know.
Speaker 1 (15:49):
She's got you. It's three things.
Speaker 3 (15:53):
Well, good morning, good marning, or just before eight o'clock
thirty year chance to stamp your Sincy summer passport with
tickets to Land of Illution.
Speaker 2 (16:01):
So don't go firm. All right, where are we starting?
What day is it? What time is it? Where is
that going? Oh yeah, yeah.
Speaker 3 (16:06):
We are one week out, one week out from the
Bengals needing to decide whether or not we're gonna re
sign this lease with Hamilton.
Speaker 2 (16:13):
County or what are we gonna do?
Speaker 3 (16:15):
A lot of money on the table, a lot of
renovations on the table. The lease is said to expire
after next season. They need to make a decision within
the next week on whether or not they're gonna like
kind of do a like a light re sign for
two years, or they're gonna.
Speaker 2 (16:30):
Put pen to paper.
Speaker 3 (16:32):
Now, if they put pen to paper, then cool, there's
you know, a good we'll get some of those renovations. Essentially,
they want to split the tab up, right, The Bengals
play for a third, Hamilton County pace for a third,
and they want to try to get the.
Speaker 2 (16:45):
House to pay for a third.
Speaker 3 (16:46):
But the House is like, well, you guys have to
present a better deal, Like, we're not gonna give you
any money if you're not locked in with the lease.
So if we end up kicking the can down the road,
I might not get some of those club level renovations
when there's moral habit for you. By the way, natox
Fest was this weekend, and this fan is speaking to
all of us really directly.
Speaker 8 (17:04):
You're my favorite player because he's on the Cincinnati Bengals.
Speaker 1 (17:08):
Amazing, We're gonna have a great year.
Speaker 2 (17:10):
For you letter make the playoff.
Speaker 6 (17:11):
Wow, calling you out Joe.
Speaker 2 (17:13):
Rightfully, so right.
Speaker 3 (17:16):
Second, and three things you need to know in the
box office this weekend. I went and saw this last
night for movie Sunday. How to Train Your Dragon ended
up taking it with thirty seven million. Twenty eight years
later came in second place with thirty million, and then
just after that l e O debuted in third place.
I saw How to Train Your Dragon last night's super cute.
(17:38):
Loved the movie. And then lastly, in three Things you
need to Know, not far from us here, our Indiana
Pacers if you're an NBA fan, ended up taking the
l in Game seven of the Finals, and Tyrese Haliburt
looks like he tore up his achilles tendon. Few injuries
like that towards the end of the season for the NBA.
That is three things you need to Know for the
twenty third of June. Coming up at eight, Honey, we're
(18:00):
commercial free. I'm sorry, eight oh five commercial free on
kiss Good Morning, Good Morning Nelly on TIF in the Morning.
Speaker 2 (18:06):
I love that song.
Speaker 3 (18:07):
You're not far off from seeing him. He'll be back
in Cincy for like the third time in two years
later on this summer, and I'll continue to stamp your
Sincy Summer passport every day on TIF in the Morning
when you get up with us on your phone. You
won't miss a chance to get out the house, especially
if you're not gonna be traveling, et cetera, and you
still want to create memories. Who doesn't come on eight
(18:30):
thirty your chance to win a pack of tickets to
Land of Illusion. You will need the key phrase broken wrist?
Speaker 2 (18:42):
Have you ever gone to a wedding? Been at a wedding?
Speaker 3 (18:47):
Could be your own, someone else's wedding, and something major
happens while you're traveling, like a travel abroad wedding. I mean,
I guess something could happen while you're here in Cincy, right,
but you're close to a hospital. What happens when you're
traveling Lebron and you break your wrist right before your wedding?
Speaker 2 (19:05):
Nuts?
Speaker 3 (19:06):
Can you give me two songs? Give me two songs,
I'll explain the story. That's the keyword. By the way,
for the tickets I had mentioned. You can talk back
with Tiff right now to get a jump on the conversation.
Has something wild ever happened to you while traveling at
a destination wedding?
Speaker 2 (19:22):
You are not going to believe the story and how
it all turned out. We'll get to that next. Good Morning.
Speaker 4 (19:27):
You're waking up with fifth in the morning, Kiss one
O seven one.
Speaker 2 (19:34):
Good morning. We're back full force.
Speaker 3 (19:37):
I was in a doublin for a week for a
solo trip to Europe, mixed in with a wedding.
Speaker 2 (19:46):
Coming up.
Speaker 3 (19:46):
Around eight thirty, you have a chance to win a
pack of tickets to Land of Illusion, and it's about
seven thousand degrees outside, so perfect timing on that you
will need the keyword broken wrist. We're gonna talk about
your destination wedding stories. Maybe this is your story someone
in your inner circle or a friend of a friend,
(20:07):
But has something major ever happened while you were traveling
for a destination. Why I could not believe the story.
I felt so bad for everyone involved. Ah, but the
mother of the groom, like just days before the wedding
in Ireland broke her wrist and chipped her front tooth,
(20:29):
bruised her whole face while in Ireland, a couple of
days before the wedding, And of course we get this
like via text message and group messages from other people,
you know, as we're all arriving.
Speaker 2 (20:40):
We're like, oh my god, oh my god.
Speaker 3 (20:41):
So it was a couple of days until I got
the full story. But once we eventually all got together
on Wednesday in Carlo, Ireland, I was like, Jenna, you
need to give me the full debris.
Speaker 2 (20:51):
Shout out to Jenna.
Speaker 3 (20:52):
She's so sweet and she had such high spirits throughout
the entire thing. Like, imagine not only as your son
getting married and you're like almost front and center and
every photo video moment, but you're also dealing with like
major injury and insurance while in a foreign country. Couldn't
believe it. I felt so bad for her, so debrief
(21:12):
on it is. I think she might have been in
Dublin and there are a lot of cobblestone streets in
that area, right of course, and her husband.
Speaker 2 (21:21):
Of course, my husband wasn't paying attention.
Speaker 3 (21:24):
And tripped and took her out to the point where
she like broke her fall on her wrist and chipped
her front tooth, painful, wild And I think it might
have been like within the first day or two that
she was in Ireland. And so because the universe sometimes
gives you like a horrible situation, it also gives you
(21:47):
a gift. A dentist from Ireland happened to be like
walking around around the same area and came over and
just like ran to her side and helped her. But
she needed an ambulance, so she took the ambulance, went
to the hospital, got full blown surgery on her wrist,
and was casted with bruised fingers for the rest of
(22:08):
the trip, had this bruise on her face, a little
bit of a gash on her lip. And then she
was able to get into a dentist I guess within
the same day, maybe maybe the next day, and get
like a temporary crown or cap put on her front tooth.
Speaker 2 (22:22):
Guys, it cost her zero dollars. Isn't that nuts? Zero dollars.
Speaker 3 (22:29):
They were able to get it done like within twenty
four hours, and she was off to living her life again.
And at the wedding within like forty eight hours, nuts.
Speaker 2 (22:39):
Isn't that crazy? Imagine?
Speaker 3 (22:43):
And she still looked absolutely stunning and by the way,
shout out to Shannon and her parents put on like
the most gorgeous wedding that I'll never be able to
unsee if you're a visual person.
Speaker 2 (22:53):
At the tiff two f's Potter like the wizard.
Speaker 3 (22:55):
I could not believe how poorly like that situation could
have gone, and how it ended up going, So let's
do this five one, three, seven, four nine one O
seven one. Destination wedding stories. I want to hear them.
Broken wrist is the keyword for the tickets. In a
few minutes.
Speaker 2 (23:09):
Good morning, you're waking up. It's tip in the morning
on kiss one O seven one.
Speaker 3 (23:12):
Broken wrist is the keyword you're going to need to
win the Land of Illusion.
Speaker 2 (23:16):
It passes.
Speaker 3 (23:16):
It's seven eight hundred and fifty degrees outside, So perfect
timing on that here in a few minutes. So we're
in the midst of talking about your wedding horror stories.
I would be hard pressed to find another Cincinnati and
that experienced the broken wrist and chipped tooth that I
just saw in Dublin, Ireland from my friend's wedding.
Speaker 2 (23:35):
But let's start with you. You're on the air, Hi,
I was calling.
Speaker 5 (23:39):
In with a horror story for the wedding.
Speaker 3 (23:42):
Yes, you do feel bad that you have one, but
I am excited to hear it.
Speaker 7 (23:46):
Go ahead, okay, And it ended up well.
Speaker 9 (23:49):
Okay.
Speaker 5 (23:50):
So we also had a destination wedding. We actually went
down to.
Speaker 7 (23:54):
The Seaside area in Florida and all of our family,
probably twenty p bull all came down for our wedding,
and my sister was carrying the groom's wedding band on
her thumb, and as she's walking down the aisle, apparently
bent over to pick something up, ring goes off of
(24:15):
her thumb into the sand. Well, no one, no one
thought to stop me and my dad coming down the aisle,
So I guess in the moment, my groom grabbed his
dad's wedding band and thought that that would just suffice
for the moment. So if they had stopped everything, we
(24:38):
probably wouldn't have trampled sand all over where the ring
had been.
Speaker 5 (24:42):
But we come down the aisle not knowing we were
saying our vows. Nobody prepared me for this. So we'd
go to put rings on and it's a yellow bull band.
I knew the band that we that we picked was
white gold or titanium. So I stopped the wedding.
Speaker 7 (25:03):
We all had to go, like every member of the
wedding party. All of the guests are all down on
our hands and knees in the sand.
Speaker 5 (25:12):
I wasn't the groom, to his credit, wouldn't let me look.
Speaker 7 (25:18):
Oh man, Well, they got like a little strainer from
the kitchen.
Speaker 5 (25:24):
Yeah, and sifting fan they found it good.
Speaker 2 (25:27):
Good, okay good. What's your name? By the way, what
neighbor heard you call me from?
Speaker 5 (25:32):
My name is Kat and I'm calling from Cincinnati.
Speaker 2 (25:34):
Thanks to the call, Cat, I appreciate you. Okay, that
ended up okay. Listen.
Speaker 3 (25:38):
Both the thing in common about both of these wedding
stories that they were horrible at first but ended up
being okay.
Speaker 2 (25:46):
If you can give me.
Speaker 3 (25:47):
A few minutes, broken risks is the keyword for your
chance to win the Land of Illusion tickets. If you
have a story, you can talk back with Tiff on
the iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 2 (25:54):
Do not go far.
Speaker 1 (25:56):
You're waking up with stiff in the morning. Kiss when
seven one.
Speaker 3 (26:00):
If you can forgive my tardiness, we're all kind of
getting back into the swing of things. Maybe this is
your first time walking into the show as well. This morning,
every day around this time, we're stamping your sincy summer
passport with a new adventure out the house and I'm
picking up the tab. So if you'd like to go
to Land of Illusion, since it's four hundred and eighty
seven thousand degrees outside, you and you have the keyword
that I mentioned earlier this hour. Go ahead and start
(26:21):
dialing call her ten five win, three seven four one
o seven one. I'll get you in to land of
Illusion again. Caller ten if you want those tickets five one,
three seven four nine one oh seven one.
Speaker 4 (26:35):
When you need to know She's got you, it's three
things with tip on Kiss.
Speaker 3 (26:42):
Sarah Jessica Parker talked about Cincinnati on the Call Her
Daddy podcast. I'll get that in a second good morning
or just before nine o'clock on the twenty third June,
with your chance to win one thousand bucks. I'm gonna
pay your bills on Kiss around nine oh five, so
don't go far. It is I whoo hey, we broke
our record yesterday. Well, I guess I don't know if
necessarily a record, but we hit our first ninety degree
(27:04):
day yesterday officially, and usually it hits Cincinnati like June ninth,
so we're a here late in that, but ninety degrees
filmed like one hundred for the next couple of days here,
summer has arrived. I often say I'm a big fan
of Ziegler Pool and Pendleton. I spend a lot of
time there. So if you're looking for a place to
swim it's four dollars. Okay, all right, let's start off
(27:25):
at the Bengals. So we're a week out from the lease.
They need to sign it. They need to decide what
we're doing. They on least need to side what they're doing.
They have a week to get that done. If you're like,
debrief me a little bit on it here. They want
Hamilton County wants them to sign a new lease. They
might kick the can down the road and sign like
a you know, like an extension for two years or
something because the thing expires next year.
Speaker 2 (27:46):
If that happens, and doubt that there'll be any of.
Speaker 3 (27:49):
The renovations that they want to do to the club level,
et cetera, dollars wise, you kind of want to split
it up in thirds, right, Bengals play a third, pay
a third, Hamilton County pays a third. And then if
we can get her act together and put a good
plan together for the House, maybe the House will give
us a third of the money as well.
Speaker 2 (28:07):
I'll let you know when the if and when that
ends up happening.
Speaker 3 (28:10):
Fanatic expesses this weekend, and this fan I think is
kind of speaking to all of Cincinnati directly.
Speaker 8 (28:16):
You're my favorite player because he's on the Cincinnati Bengals.
Speaker 2 (28:20):
Amazing, We're gonna have a great year for you. Better
make the playoffs, calling you out.
Speaker 3 (28:24):
Joe, rightfully, so right the kids like you, better make
the playoffs.
Speaker 2 (28:28):
Okay. Well see, I don't know, do you.
Speaker 3 (28:31):
Want a new lease in all those renovations, et cetera.
Is now the time to do it? Or is it
two years from now? I'll let you know. Second and
three things you need to know this morning. Sarah Sarah
Jessica Parker was on the Call Her Daddy podcast, and
I always need the reminder that SJP is a Cincinnati
but she was raving about us.
Speaker 2 (28:49):
What was ad hometown like Cincinnati?
Speaker 8 (28:52):
Wonderful? We go back to Cincinnati all the time. It
is a very impressive, exciting city.
Speaker 2 (28:58):
Okay, and it's beautiful. It's beautiful. Done.
Speaker 1 (29:01):
Yeah.
Speaker 8 (29:01):
I liked any new thing. I liked any chance to
get out of the house. I loved going to the theater.
Cincinnati has a really incredible theater called the Playhouse in
the Park, and my father was a stage manager there,
so we went to a lot of theater and University
of Cincinnati, their conservatory has an incredible theater department. We
(29:23):
went to the ballet all the time, Like there was
a lot of opportunities to be outside.
Speaker 3 (29:28):
Like I didn't know that she her dad worked at
Playhouse in the Park. It's in my neighborhood. So there
you go. I always need, like I said, the reminder
that SJP is from Cincinnati. And then lastly in three
Things you Need to Know this Morning, I find this fascinating.
Every time I talk about the fact that Cardi B
only has one album out, I.
Speaker 2 (29:48):
Put that in perspective.
Speaker 3 (29:49):
Invasion of Privacy came out in like twenty eighteen. Guys
are sitting in twenty twenty five and Cardi B has
yet to put out her sophomore album. Now, she's done
lots of features that we no of course, but she
did make this teaser announcement on ig and fans are
thinking that she's gonna make the album announcement later tonight.
Speaker 6 (30:08):
Seven years and the time has come. Seven years of love,
life and loss. Seven years I gave them place, but
now I give them hell. I learned power is not giving,
is taken. I'm setting feathers and no more tears. I'm
not back, I'm beyond. I'm not your villain. I'm your
car me the time here, the time is now.
Speaker 2 (30:31):
I got an announcement to make tonight.
Speaker 3 (30:33):
We'll see I mean it highly anticipated after seven years,
put out your sophomore album.
Speaker 2 (30:39):
That is three things you need to know for the
twenty third of June.
Speaker 3 (30:42):
Let's walk in together on iHeartRadio because they do have
your chance to pick up a thousand dollars. I'm sure
it'll come in handy as we start to creep into summer.
Don't blink because summer will come in. Go like that guy.
We're like not even two weeks out from the fourth
of July, notts. So if you're gonna need some extra cash,
allow me to, you know, hook you up. So coming
(31:04):
up at nine oh five, Okay, good morning, goodbye.
Speaker 1 (31:07):
You're waking up in the morning time.
Speaker 3 (31:10):
Morning mental health mondays with Lori Sharpages, our licensed clinical
counselor just a quick tidbit of information to try to
kick off the week in a better place.
Speaker 2 (31:17):
Good morning, learning, Good morning.
Speaker 3 (31:19):
So forty nine percent of gen Z is going to
social media, specifically TikTok and of course Instagram as well
for their mental health advice.
Speaker 9 (31:29):
Yes, so the research is showing that they're actually kind
of skipping professionals altogether and going straight to social media,
which I.
Speaker 2 (31:35):
Understand accessibility costs totally.
Speaker 9 (31:38):
I think also that humanness, that that understanding that like,
it's not just me, that's That's one thing that social
media I think really gives people in the mental health
space that we need to give it props for. It
makes people feel less alone. But the challenge is is
they just did some research that shows that about fifty
percent of the trending mental health tips I think is
the hashtag they looked on contains misinformation and you in
(32:00):
the form of oversimplification, which I get, like when we
come on here for Mental Health Monday, we're trying to
give people that tidbit, that little bit that's going to
help them. Sure, and I think a lot of people
are really playing in that space, and that's a good
space for us to be playing it. But what can
happen is that we oversimplify these very nuanced things.
Speaker 3 (32:19):
Okay, so can give me an example of a tip,
maybe that would be over absolutely so.
Speaker 9 (32:23):
A good example of this always happening is people are
always saying on social media that people's poor interpersonal behaviors
or poor emotional hygiene is narcissism.
Speaker 2 (32:33):
It's not narcissism.
Speaker 9 (32:34):
No, it's people being unable to care for themselves, or
unable to communicate, or maybe having some level of narcissistic
personality traits, which spoiler alert, we all have them to
different degrees. But they will leave thinking that everyone around
them is a narcissist.
Speaker 2 (32:50):
And that's not actually really that helpful.
Speaker 3 (32:52):
You're only getting like the tid like the top tip
of the iceberg, when there's really a lot more to
learn about you.
Speaker 9 (32:58):
Absolutely absolutely, and so while these little tidbits are good
and impactful and meaningful, be mindful of the source and
be mindful that they're one piece of a very large
canvas that is your mental health.
Speaker 2 (33:10):
All right, Laurie, thank you so much. My goal mental
health Monday.
Speaker 3 (33:13):
Is just to make things a little bit easier on you,
just a little tidbit, you know, coming up around ninety
the daily Debrief, actually.
Speaker 2 (33:21):
Around nine and thirty.
Speaker 3 (33:22):
Have you ever been to a wedding and something horrible
has gone wrong? I felt so bad for the mother
of the groom at this wedding. I will explain what
happened next.
Speaker 1 (33:34):
Because you're waking up with fifth.
Speaker 2 (33:36):
In the morning, kiss, Good morning.
Speaker 3 (33:38):
I was traveling in Dublin this past week on a
solo trip and I met friends in the middle for
a wedding.
Speaker 2 (33:44):
You're walking into the daily debrief.
Speaker 3 (33:46):
The groom's mother chipped her tooth and broke her wrist
within like the first twenty four hours of being in Ireland,
just days before the wedding. So every day right around
this time, I choose the bigger thing that I think
we talked to about in the four hours of conversation,
and we revisit.
Speaker 2 (34:02):
It, giving you a chance to get caught up.
Speaker 3 (34:03):
Especially if you're just starting off your day and maybe
a new summer routine and whatnot. And we were chit
chatting about your horror stories, whether they were wedding related,
travel related or not.
Speaker 2 (34:14):
Good morning, You're on the air.
Speaker 7 (34:15):
I was at a poll party with my kids at
our part of my complex and we were eating pizza.
I don't know, it must have already been pretty in.
Speaker 5 (34:22):
Not good shape, but now I'll have to go in.
Speaker 7 (34:26):
Oh, it's you know, it's never happening before. So, I mean, hey,
it's one.
Speaker 2 (34:32):
So and you chipped your tooth on a piece of pizza. Pizza, pizza,
I know I hope you at least I hope you
at least dipped it in ranch or something.
Speaker 8 (34:45):
My god.
Speaker 1 (34:46):
Well, also, it was so good too.
Speaker 6 (34:48):
I'm so sad.
Speaker 2 (34:49):
I'm gonna never want to eat pizza again. I get it.
Speaker 3 (34:52):
You have to get caught up on the podcast at
some point today we debriefed Ireland. Of course, in the
wedding story, the poor mother of the groom, I mean,
her spirits were high during the entire thing, and what
surprised me most about that story was that she was
able to get such quick medical care. Everything we do
gets podcasted for you to get caught up at your leisure.
Speaker 2 (35:14):
Maybe you're going to do a walk outside today in
the heat. Good for you.
Speaker 3 (35:17):
Search Tip Tiff in the morning on the iHeartRadio app
to get caught up.
Speaker 2 (35:21):
Happy Monday.
