Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's another jubile phone frame Mornings on the twenties.

Speaker 2 (00:09):
Hello is this is Trevor calling from Atto. I was
looking for Denise, who has her Chevy Equinox in here?

Speaker 3 (00:17):
Yeah, that's me. Is that ready?

Speaker 2 (00:19):
Yeah? So that's what I'm calling. Just a quick update.
It may be about two more days before it's ready.
But why don't you kind of give you just a
quick heads up?

Speaker 3 (00:29):
Why? What's what's going on? They said it would be
ready today, it's the latest.

Speaker 2 (00:34):
Oh yeah, I'm not sure. I'm just like the I
work the phones here, so wetle to put you on
brief hold and then I'll find out the specifics on
why your car is going to be delayed a few
days and I'll be right back with you. Is that okay? Okay, okay,
just please hold.

Speaker 1 (00:50):
Hey, these guys do take a long time. Don't tell
you that much.

Speaker 2 (01:00):
M m mmmmmmmmmm.

Speaker 3 (01:02):
Oh Hello, yeah, Hello, it's Pete.

Speaker 1 (01:07):
Yes, yeah, I was just checking to see if I
could keep it a few more days.

Speaker 3 (01:14):
Yes, I was on a hold. I was told that
like today was going to be the last day, that
it would be ready by today. Why why does it
need to be held?

Speaker 1 (01:24):
I don't I'm sorry. Uh, my name is Pete, and
I was just calling a few minutes ago. I'm, you know,
asking if I could keep it a few more days.
I was speaking of some lady. I was speaking of
some Yeah, I was speaking of somebody named Trevor.

Speaker 3 (01:40):
I was also speaking to a guy named Trevor.

Speaker 1 (01:43):
H oh, wait, okay, I think I'm trying to figure
out what's going on here. So my name is Pete.

Speaker 3 (01:48):
What's your name, Denise?

Speaker 1 (01:52):
Yeah, hey, Denise. I don't I don't know what happened.
So I was calling up because I got a car
from them, you know, and I was for a couple
of days here, and I want to keep it a
couple more days. So I was talking to Trevor. He
put me on hold, and now I'm talking to you.
They must have trade. They must have patched us in
together or something. I don't know how that happened, but anyway, yeah.

Speaker 3 (02:11):
So, oh the test, that's weird. I guess we just
wait until they pick us up or something.

Speaker 1 (02:16):
I guess. So, uh, this is kind of awkward, but anyway,
nice to meet you. I guess we just hang out
until they pick it up. Are you Are you getting
your car worked?

Speaker 3 (02:24):
Onne Or are you written, Yeah, my car's being worked on.

Speaker 1 (02:28):
Oh that's yes, that's something hell fluvely. They get it
fixed pretty quick. I love the way that this place
hangs it with the rental stuff though. You know, it's great,
well you have a rental Oh yeah, yeah. I love
how they do that. It's awesome. You know, I never
I never had a place that does that before, but
I think it's such a genius idea. You know, you
get a car in here, you get it worked on.
I mean, you work out the bugs by letting people

(02:49):
rent it for a few days at a cheap rate.
It is great. And you know, I don't know how
they do it legally, Honestly, I don't know, but I
run from these guys all the time. I got this
Chevy Equinox right now, and it is a beaut So
I just.

Speaker 3 (03:00):
Wow, you say Chevy Equinox. Did you say Chevy Equinox? Pete, Denise?

Speaker 2 (03:11):
Is this Trevor? Is this Denise? Are you still there?

Speaker 3 (03:15):
Yeah, Trevor, what is going on? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (03:18):
So that's what I was just finding out. And it
seems that, uh, there was just like a little bit
of an error that they were getting from a test
that they were doing, and so they need to just
keep it for like three more days to do the
diagnostic completely on it.

Speaker 3 (03:36):
That sounds like both you. You just put me on
hold with another customer and it sounds like they're driving
my car. What is going on? They said that you
guys like rent out the car to other customers, and
they said he said that he was driving the Chevy Equinox.

Speaker 2 (03:55):
I'm gonna have to one second. I'll be right back.
I'm gonna place you on a berefold again. I'm just
gonna no, don't put me on hold. I just all
just figured it out to be right back. Please, mister Meakins.
I think we need the car back today because I
have the customer on the other line and she sounds
like hello, upset that it's being rented because you know,
like we didn't tell her, so he cut.

Speaker 3 (04:19):
You idiots. You're talking to me. You're I'm the one
with the Chevy Equinox. I'm gonna call the police, okay,
oh okay, so you're gonna go to jail.

Speaker 1 (04:30):
I can't believe this, Denise. This is actually Doubil from
the Jubile Show doing a phone prank on you and
your husband. Set you up.

Speaker 3 (04:39):
Wait what this joke?

Speaker 1 (04:43):
You said that your car has been in the shop
for a couple of days and he wanted to mess
with you. So your car is not being rented out.
That's still there. Probably, I think, wake up every morning
with double phone.

Speaker 2 (04:59):

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
