Steve Harvey Morning Show on demand on the free, the
very free iHeart Radio app. So remember that again. It's
yes free on iHeartRadio. It's a whole app. Yes, your

(00:22):
favorite radio station.

Speaker 2 (00:24):
Musingly listen, Strawberry letter prank calls.

Speaker 1 (00:28):
Yeah, thank, I have a question for you. We know
how fond you are of the untruth. So have you
ever I mean, when did you stop? Have you ever
told the truth? And when did you stop? And when

(00:48):
did lies become your f Yeah?

Speaker 3 (00:49):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah yeah. I I've told the
truth and paid dearly, dearly every time. I mean the
consequences of just so dire that I've just learned. I mean,
like really, like my philosophy is, first, you know, I

(01:10):
tell the truth, but my initial reaction is to open
with a lie. That's just the initial reaction to it.
Because yeah, because I try to control the narrative and
I'm looking at your face, and because I have this
God has giving me this amazing skill and ability to read
the room and read people and assess very very quickly.

(01:33):
That's been the crux of my success is my ability
to read the room manufacture comedy immediately. Once I look
at you and determine that there is a vulnerability and
an inquisitiveness about the look in your eye. If I
see vulnerable, if I see inquisitiveness, or if I see

(01:54):
any form of accusation those three things vulnerability, inquisitiveness, or accusation,
I immediately give you what I feel would be best
needed for you at that time. And that is the
caring side of me, and I have cared for so

(02:15):
many people.

Speaker 1 (02:16):
What I'm not gonna do you need.

Speaker 3 (02:20):
What I'm not gonna do is let you down or
hurt you when easily I can provide you with an
answer that's satisfying for all of us.

Speaker 1 (02:31):
That is not selfish, it's very selfish. That is very selfish.
Okay for you.

Speaker 3 (02:41):
Yeah, okay, ladies, Okay, ladies. Here's what I want you
to do. Ask me a question, any question, call it
or sheley. Ask me a question, and I'm gonna tell
you two things. I'm gonna tell you what I think,
and then I'll tell you the truth, and you tell

(03:01):
me which one you like best. Go ahead, any question.

Speaker 2 (03:05):
Okay, what do you think about men and women being friends?
What do you honestly think? You honestly believe that men
and women can't be friends? Because we are friends on
this show. We're all married and we're all friends. We talk,
we talk on the phone, we text, we and we
are dear friends on this show and we hang out

(03:26):
and do that.

Speaker 3 (03:27):
Yeah, that's right.

Speaker 1 (03:28):
Now, Because people ask, why do you believe that?

Speaker 3 (03:31):
Yes? Not not? Do you want to know the truth? Yes,
I ain't really y'all's damn friend. I'm not really y'all's
damn friend. Now can we just come with this right here?
Next question? What else you want to know? I'm not
What is that? A lot of people come from my house?

(03:52):
Ain't my friend?

Speaker 1 (03:54):
Really?

Speaker 4 (03:55):
Eve?

Speaker 1 (03:55):
After twenty something years? Really we see I'm not your
damn friend?

Speaker 3 (04:00):
Truth?

Speaker 1 (04:00):
What are you? What are you to us? Our boss?

Speaker 3 (04:03):
Co worker, worker, co worker? That's titles for us now.
The lie is we are close friends, we are dear
to one another. We will help each other when chips
is falling down, And that's and that's true.

Speaker 1 (04:17):
That's the truth, though, isn't it?

Speaker 3 (04:19):
But ain't that truth? You all can call me? I'll
help you advise anything. We're going trips together, got it?

Speaker 1 (04:27):
Yes, and we have none?

Speaker 3 (04:30):
Right, and see that's that's that's truth. Now you want
the whole damn truth. I ain't your damn friends.

Speaker 1 (04:37):
I'm just I don't I don't understand.

Speaker 3 (04:41):
I don't understand.

Speaker 1 (04:42):
It's so confused.

Speaker 3 (04:44):
I'm just saying, don't push hey, hey, don't push up
on me real hard, because you're not gonna have ourselves.
Don't don't push up over here, don't test me.

Speaker 4 (04:57):
Next question, Okay, okay, let's keep what that's same thing.
Do you think that people men and women say who
work together and have a relationship, they started off friends,
they had a relationship, Can they continue being friends?

Speaker 3 (05:16):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah yeah yeah. See you can easily
do that. You can be in a relationship with somebody
you was friends with, you know, after the line was crossed.

Speaker 1 (05:25):
Yeah, go back being friends.

Speaker 3 (05:27):
The line was crossed. But now you want the truth. Yes,
the whole time, since I got this job, after I
looked at you, my whole plan was to have your
eyes rolling in the back of your head as see
as I could. That's the whole damn truth. I never
intended on being your friend, and I just played this
friendship role until I could get you along somewhere and

(05:49):
yeah and yeah, now we smashing, and that's what this
thing is.

Speaker 1 (05:53):
So that's your whole basis of saying why men and
women can't be friends because men.

Speaker 3 (05:58):
You see what I'm saying now that that little truth
that I told y'all, it sounded good, right, but that
ain't the whole truth. The whole truth was from a
moment I met you, when you started on this job.
My whole intent soon as I saw you, I'm gonna
have eyes in the back of her head calling me
daddy soon.

Speaker 1 (06:13):
If you want to roll your eyes or not, hart
it man.

Speaker 3 (06:20):
Well, y'all, have a nice day and let me explain
some to you. Talk to God today, because he will
tell you.
