Boone has had one of the more unique paths to
music start him in quite some time. He didn't even
know he could sing until he got dared into his
high school's talent show his senior year and won it,
and a year later, in twenty twenty one, he found
himself an American Idol's Top twenty four before dropping out
because he wasn't sure about his path in music, but

he built a TikTok following powered by his talent, which
caught the attention of Imagine Dragon's frontman Dan Reynolds, who
flew him to Vegas to learn to write, and that
trip changed Benson's life, he was telling Variety after those
three days observing, the first song I wrote on my
own was ghost Town, which would go on to become
Benson's first charting song. He adds, figuring out how to
write music is definitely a very personal thing. Everybody does

it differently, and it's taken me a long time to
figure out the way I like to write the most.
