Jojo made headlines with her raw memoir Over the Influence,
which was praised for being candid and sharing her journey
from childhood started to womanhood, and her new EP NGL's
also being heralded for being similarly personal and vulnerable, and
it turns out some of its songs are directly inspired
by parts of her book.

A lot of the EP is based on stuff that
I wrote about at the end of the book, like
the final few chapters about processing things about letting go,
about rekindling and then deciding, you know what, that's insane.
I really just need to make space for myself and
