said about the incredible debut performance of thirteen year old
Owen Cooper in Adolescents as Jamie, wowing audiences with a
role that was already extremely complex for any unseasoned actor,
but was made even more challenging as each episode was
shot in a single take, meaning any mistake would require
them to start from scratch. But Owen tells Deadline his

inexperience might have been a blessing. He says, I didn't
know what was hard versus what was easy, so I
just went with it. I didn't know anything other than
doing it in one shot and memorizing all those lines.
Whatever I got asked to do, I just did it
because I wanted to prove that I was right for
the part of Jamie. I wanted to impress everyone, So
I went in there knowing my lines. They told me,
if you get a line wrong, then you're gonna have
to go to the very beginning. I don't know why
