Any audition for a leading role in a blockbuster is
going to be nerve racking, but Dampson interests. His final
audition for his biggest project to date pushed his performance
anxiety to a whole other level by forcing him to
drive nearly two hundred miles per hour in the pouring rain.
Dampson leads the cast alongside Brad Pitten this summer's high
octane racecar Flack F one, directed by top gun Maverick

filmmaker Joseph Kasinski, and the last thing producers needed to
know before Dampson got the gig was that he could
handle racing an actual F one car. Dampson tells he
w the feeling I felt before was absolute fear, but
driving up to one hundred and eighty miles per hour
going from track to track around the world as an
opportunity that I could never have dreamed of. But the
audition was insane. The universe decided to rain that first

day and I jumped in an F three thousand with
cameras attached. It was really a test of maturity, humility,
and patience f one. The movie races into theaters Friday.
