Well, Fat Joe now proud to say he's fifty five
years old, which could be considered an elder statesman in
hip hop game. But he just admitted that a much
earlier birthday milestone was quite a bit harder for him
to process.
Speaker 3 (00:15):
Yeah, you know, he opened up on his very own
Joe and Jada podcast that back when he turned forty,
it hit him hard.
Speaker 2 (00:20):
It actually made him totally depressed. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (00:23):
Actually, people kept telling him that no rapper has ever
hit one out of the park after forty, which is
so sad.
Speaker 2 (00:29):
Well, stop hanging out with those people. Yeah, lives into
the world, Low, Wayne Jay Z Ray Kwan. They've all
had hits in their forty so it's just not true.
But it was another EMBc who calmed Joe's nerves at
his fortieth birthday party.

Yeah, Dre of Cool and Dre reminded him that Tina
Turner didn't have a hit song until she was forty seven,
And eventually Joe also realized leaning into the lifestyle and
culture of hip hop was a good career transition, and
look at him, He's still going strong.

we play it, every time it comes on, every time
I hear it, it puts me in his zone. Yeah,
