a little bit, just in your own words about Ashley.

Well, Ashley, I met her over a year ago. She's
a really sweet young lady. I met her through my daughter.
They actually, you know, I started dating and we got
to know her and her family and her situation. And

you know, she's just been going through a lot of
stuff these last couple of.

Years, taking care of her whole family, like right since
her her parents died a little while ago.

That it is correct. So she is the oldest and
she takes care of her two siblings, and it's a
new responsibility for her. It's just a new situation for
the three of them, and you know, they they struggled
to try to, you know, keep each other in good
spirits and you know, trying to learn this this just

this new way of life.

How and when did her parents die?

So her father passed away a couple of years ago.
He got sick and I think COVID was related, or
he passed away because of COVID and maybe some other complications,
and then her mother just recently passed away. I think
it was maybe April.

Yes, this is her. Hey Ashley, it's John Jay and
Rich were wondering if we could put you on the
radio for just a second. Oh yeah, we have a
letter here.

Somebody wrote us about you, from Bertha, and it touched
all of our hearts, especially the love up board. I
mean you just your situation in your stories touched a
lot of people. So we asked Bertha to come on
our radio show and read it to you on the air.
Do you have a minute, Yeah, okay, Bertha, go ahead.

Dear John, Jay and Rich. Christmas is a time to
gather with family and enjoy. But for one young lady,
I know, time with family means something different. Ashley lost
her father and mother a couple of years ago and
is the oldest child of three. She has an eighteen
year old sister and a seventeen year old brother. The

three of them live together and are struggling to make
me Ashley currently works two jobs to try to keep
the siblings under one roof and must be both a
mom and a sister. Recently, their refrigerator and television broke,
and other bills are piling up. They so vally need
a break and some happiness this holiday season. Please consider

His name's Chris Edwards. He owns two Son appliants. He said,
there's no way she should have a Brooken refrigerator. So
two Son appliants, they're gonna let you pick out a
new refrigerator whatever you want from their location.

Really yeah, they'll deliver it. They'll do all of that.

Speaker 4 (07:11):
I don't even know what to say, like, this helps
me up so much.

You deserve it. Yeah, thank you. We heard Michael needs
