Speaker 1 (00:00):
Oh cool, your scanner stopped. It's John Jay and Rich.
She's a tax text JJR.
Speaker 2 (00:05):
Whatever's on your mind wherever you want to talk about
in nine eight ninety three, you got to put.
Speaker 1 (00:10):
JJR in the message. So we get it all vision
boards just to keep going on vision boards.
Speaker 2 (00:15):
So my family's doing vision board, the four of us
and Kemp is in Hawaii, so it's Jake, Dutch, Blake
and Me are doing our vision boards tomorrow. That's the
only time we could work it out on our schedule, right.
And then Dutch he's like, why do we do it?
And we're all together, the five of us, And I'm like,
because Kemp is in Hawaii and he does vision boards
all the time, like he's got his goals. Like that
guy's fine, you know what I mean. The rest of
(00:37):
us are disasters. So and then Kyle kept you know,
because you brought it up. I think you really planted
the seed in our in our families to get it done.
Speaker 1 (00:44):
So the only time we can do it is tomorrow.
Speaker 2 (00:46):
It's almost like I need to put together a vision
board with a vision board on it so we can
make the vision board happen.
Speaker 1 (00:51):
I know, I know.
Speaker 3 (00:52):
Because I was talking about it, and I have half
of my stuff cut out, and I still need to
cut out more, Like mine's not even done yet, but
it's in.
Speaker 2 (00:59):
It's probably that's fine. So I went yet on Friday,
my son Jake, and I decided to go. I'm trying
to get ten thousand steps a day, a minimum of
ten thousand SEPs a day. So and Jake was playing
video games like let's go, let's go hiking. He goes, okay,
So we went hiking, and he's in great shape and
he's hiking a little bit faster than me. And we're
hiking in this place that he's never been to, and
(01:20):
I thought I knew it. But you know, I'm always
following my friend this hiking, and when you're leading, it's
a totally different ballgame.
Speaker 1 (01:26):
Like, oh, this looks so different.
Speaker 2 (01:27):
And I don't know, say we got lost, but I
didn't know where we were, and that's lost it. But
Jake's you know, he found out where to go. But
he goes, hey, let's go this way. It looks like
there's a helipad there in case the helicopter needs to
come take you because you're breathing so hard. I was like,
so Anyway, after that, I went to Michael's and I've
(01:51):
never been to Michael's before.
Speaker 1 (01:52):
However in my life, I know, I just never have
that's you know.
Speaker 2 (01:56):
I have three boys. If I had three daughters, maybe
big chance, but you know, and if there was anything
they needed to do in high school or junior high
or whatever. My wife went in to Godles stuff. So I
walk into Michael's so overwhelming and makes you want to
do stuff. Yeah and cross yeah, but I got the
I got the boards for and I was only there
(02:16):
in there for a little bit. But along those lines,
I think it was last week. I was telling you
about wanting to get ten thousand steps a day. Right,
it was last week, so I was trying to get
ten thousand SEPs to day. And then Kyle said that
your husband has this treadmill. Yeah, right, And we were
on the air and her husband texted me the link
to the treadmill. So while we're on the air, it's
(02:38):
Amazon link. I just bought it and moved on, right,
forgot all about the treadmill.
Speaker 1 (02:44):
So this let's just say.
Speaker 2 (02:45):
This is Tuesday, last week. Saturday morning, dogs are barking whatever.
I'm watching TV and.
Speaker 1 (02:52):
I hear play go did you order a treadmill?
Speaker 3 (02:57):
It's like a standing treble, so it like fits under
the bed and like you could, like a lot of
people are using them at their desks at work. Now
that's what Scott does.
Speaker 2 (03:05):
So I look at Blake and I go, no, I go,
oh I did, And she goes, don't you think that
should be a conversation before you order a treadmill? Because
it came in a big box and it's taken apart.
It's in our front door. It's leaned up against the
front door, and it's about five feet high, right, And
I'm like, oh yeah, I'm gonna take it to work
and put it on the underneath the console so when
(03:26):
I'm walking i'm doing the show, I can get my
steps in.
Speaker 4 (03:28):
And she's like, okay, So that's her way of going, yeah,
you're probably does.
Speaker 2 (03:34):
I just think that you would have a conversation before
you buy a treadmill. I go, it's not like a
treadmill like you go to the gym. I'm sure I
should have a conversation with you about one of those.
It's not like one of those big ass treadmills. It's
a treadmill.
Speaker 3 (03:45):
It's like an affordable version of those.
Speaker 2 (03:47):
Yeah, but it's still pretty heavy the box, right, So,
I mean it looks heavy. I still have it moved
that it's still there. It's still the front door. Last
night I was going to bed, Blake goes, are you
taking the treadmill in the work? Yeah?
Speaker 1 (04:00):
Not now tomorrow. So I got it.
Speaker 2 (04:02):
I gotta get the treadmill from the house to hear
and then put it underneath here and then hopefully Grant
can put it together for us.
Speaker 4 (04:08):
You know what's gonna happen. You're gonna plug that thing
in here and everything's gonna blank out and we're gonna No, it's.
Speaker 1 (04:14):
Not a plug in tad think it plugs in it.
Speaker 2 (04:18):
What's it gonna be like if I'm out of breath
hiking with my son, Uh huh. He might gonna be here,
but he's coming on. And plus I don't walk quietly.
Speaker 4 (04:27):
Boom the squeakiness of the shoes too.
Speaker 1 (04:29):
During commercial Yeah, so one.
Speaker 2 (04:32):
Of the things I did, uh, you know, like I
was trying to get my ten thousand steps. This guy,
this friend of mine, I think I told you guys,
a friend of a friend. He listened to a book
on tape and he goes for walks a lot. But
I took us about that guy and he was getting
twenty thousand steps a day.
Speaker 1 (04:45):
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah yeah.
Speaker 2 (04:46):
So he at the end of the day, he puts
on headphones and he listens to a book on tape.
So I'm like, I wasn't at ten thousand. I was
like seven thousand steps. So it's like, I'm gonna put
a book on tape. So I downloaded this book, put
the headphones on, and I'm just gonna walk to down
my read walk to a place where I thought, you know,
like a fifteen twenty minute walk. I thought, right, So
I'm walking to this friend of mine's building a house.
(05:07):
I'm like, this pretty far. I wouldn't walk down that way.
So I walk all over this house. I'm listening to
the book on tape and it's just it's a it's
a neuroscientist talking about brain stuff.
Speaker 1 (05:17):
And the book is called The Source, and it's a
pretty good book.
Speaker 2 (05:20):
And I'm listening to this woman talk and she's talking
about vision board she calls them activity boards, and I'm like, okay,
you know, and then I walk back to my house.
I back get back to my house, and then I
hear chapter one, Like.
Speaker 1 (05:32):
What the hell did I just listen to for twenty
five minutes?
Speaker 2 (05:34):
Like, although, you know when you get a book and
it's all the stuff before you get the chapter one, Yeah, it.
Speaker 1 (05:37):
Was all that.
Speaker 4 (05:38):
I felt like.
Speaker 2 (05:38):
I was like, it's such a waste, you know. I
thought it was like learning stuff. I thought I was
already like past chap. I thought, oh, maybe they don't
tell you, you know you're chapter three.
Speaker 1 (05:48):
I fished the book, started it one hundred steps. But
chapter one, I feel like I learned everything already.
Speaker 4 (05:56):
You heard the forward.
Speaker 1 (05:57):
I must have heard the forward. But that was enough
a good book. I'm a pain of the ass.
Speaker 2 (06:05):
Also, so my sister's in La with the fires, right,
the fire, and she won't leave.
Speaker 1 (06:11):
Why won't she leave? I don't know why she won't leave.
Speaker 2 (06:14):
And the fires aren't to her house yet, but her
car is covered in ash, right, she can't her voice.
She sounds sick. I just saw a think today that
the level of ash and smoke in Layah is the
every day's equivalent to smoking like two and a half cigarettes.
Speaker 4 (06:30):
Well, you think of all the plastic and buildings and
cars and everything that has burned with that, and all
the other stuff that's in that smoke.
Speaker 1 (06:36):
It's got to be just terrible.
Speaker 3 (06:37):
But I know a lot of people have said, like
it's a privilege to leave, because it's like some people
still have to work, and it's like, you know, you're
if you're Poe was still somewhat safe. It is like
it's a privilege to be able to say I have
time and extra money and resources to go and places
to go to be, you know, either money to spend
on a hotel or friends that are willing to let
(06:58):
you stay with them.
Speaker 2 (06:59):
Well, my nephew who goes to San Diego State, and
they had to take them back yesterday, right, So they
were gonna drive to San Diego. So I was like,
just keep driving and just come here, but she was like, no,
I'm staying home. Her husband took the nephew back to
San Diego and she stayed home.
Speaker 1 (07:12):
So I don't know what.
Speaker 2 (07:13):
And then my wife was talking to my wife, my
sister yesterday. You can hear her voice. Sounds terrible, right,
but she sent me a picture of her car just
covered and soot and covered the dash.
Speaker 1 (07:21):
It's terrible.
Speaker 2 (07:22):
Yesterday there was a Sun's game, Phoenix Suns against the hornets.
Speaker 1 (07:26):
I forgot I had tickets.
Speaker 2 (07:27):
It was the last and it was like the game
was at seven and it was like five point fifty
five when I was like, oh crap, I have tickets
in this game. Let's go. So we jump with the car.
And my car is a disaster, right, I mean, and
I haven't had that. There's a Valet parking thing. So
I parked because I was running late at Valet Park.
And when the game's over and I left a little early.
(07:49):
It was a great game, left little early. My car's
just a disaster. My wife's like, I wonder if they
wonder why there's all these nice cars here in your
car is just terrible, And I go, oh. When I valeated,
I told him that. You know, all I said to
the guy was I go, I pull up like hey man,
you go hey, guys like, hey, I just go. Fire's
l a terrible sorry about the car. That's all I said,
(08:11):
so that they would it would be implied that I
just came from l A.
Speaker 1 (08:14):
And then my car is covered in ashes. But it
looks like that. It looks like that because it's been
parked outside for so long. He's just covered in dirt.
So yeah, man, anyway,
