Speaker 1 (00:00):
My most recent post is of my son Kemp. They
collaborated his basketball can collaborated with me. They miked him
up for a practice, and I really I've watched it
so many times. I just love it so much. So
I just kind of want, like my son's video to
be the highest most liked video in the basketball team's
Instagram account. So if everyone can go to I'm collaborating,
So if you go to John J. Vanas and you'll

(00:21):
see it, just like it, like it and make cool comments.
Apparently Dutch got into a fight with somebody on that
thread and he went back and forth for a long time,
and then the person started calling Dutch bad names, and
so then the school blocked the guy and cleaned it
all up.

Speaker 2 (00:35):
I know, I know anyway, one of three things we
need to know, Kah.

Speaker 3 (00:39):
It's Valentine's Day tomorrow, So for a perfect Valentine's Day,
Science says treat yourself with compassion and watch your relationships thrive.
They say you can boost your well being, reduced your stress,
and create stronger bonds by just being kinder to yourself.
On top of that, if you want your kids to

(01:00):
also be kind, show them how by practicing self compassion,
not self criticism. They say, prioritize yourself and you will
unlock deeper, more meaningful connections with the people that you love.
It just takes you recognizing that you are a blessing
to this world. And when you honor yourself, everyone's better
for it.

Speaker 2 (01:20):
Like that, it's being more.

Speaker 3 (01:20):
Positive and just like knowing how positivity is contagious. So
science also looked at dogs and they were trying to
figure out the easiest way for dogs to pay attention.

Speaker 2 (01:31):
They actually found.

Speaker 3 (01:32):
Both pointing and staring at an object is the best
way for dog owners to get their pets to follow directions.
So you may look at something, your dog may look
over there, but the point and look is going to
be the most strong way to make them do this. Now,
this blew my mind. Imagine just imagine living in a
forty million dollar mansion. Let that sink in. Where's your

(01:52):
mind going with a luxury? Right, that'd be so nice,
Like how wonderful?

Speaker 2 (01:57):
Too big? I get my steps in, you get all.

Speaker 3 (01:59):
Your steps just in your house.

Speaker 1 (02:01):
It's just that you.

Speaker 3 (02:02):
Got like a pool, a gym, a cinema, a wine room,
everything you could ever want, right, except one couple was
living in a forty dollars for forty million dollar mansion,
and it turned out to be a complete nightmare. Once
they moved in, they found out the house was infested
with moths, and at one point they were killing ten

(02:23):
to thirty five moths a day. The moths were in
their clothes, they were coming in the shower. This week,
a judge actually ruled that the couple was entitled to
give the house back to the cellar because there were
so many moths.

Speaker 2 (02:36):
That's not like snaps.

Speaker 3 (02:37):
Imagine you're like, oh, dream home, a forty million dollar mansion,
and just the moths are everywhere.

Speaker 2 (02:45):
Yeah, house intact.

Speaker 3 (02:46):
Part of the lawsuit was that that, like, how were
they able to conceal this?

Speaker 4 (02:51):
You know what I mean? That's insane And you know
what that reminds me of. I bet you that forty
million dollar mansion was possessed and have demons, because you know,
when you kill a demon and like a scary movie,
they turn into moths.

Speaker 2 (03:02):
I didn't know that. Yeah, well I didn't know that.
I didn't know that, But if.

Speaker 4 (03:06):
I'm a girl, I think I've seen something like that.

Speaker 2 (03:08):
I didn't a creepy Yeah, I'm with it. I believe it.
I'm with you.

Speaker 4 (03:12):
Yeah, so I think that house was formally possessed.

Speaker 2 (03:15):
And if you're deemon, why not go to a forty
million dollar house? Right, that's true?

Speaker 3 (03:19):
Or a moth for that matter. The moth was like,
this is great. Yeah, I'm glad they got it. Yeah, seriously,
And that's three things.

Speaker 4 (03:29):
You need to know.

Speaker 1 (03:30):
So we asked a bunch of kids what they thought
Valentine's Day meant. And I'm going to listen to this
and I want to get to Kyle being the mom
on the show with young kids, how they're handling Valentine's.

Speaker 5 (03:39):
Day when they go to fancy restaurants and kiss each
other a lot to love and and it they gave
think that. How about valentine To Day? My dad gets
her some red roses, then little chocolate a box of

(04:03):
like a big heart chocolate box, give each other flowers.
My dad loves my mom and mom Day like my dad,
they give each other school supplies. Well they they have
both of their tongues and they put it twogether.

Speaker 2 (04:26):
Wow, Hi, how are you Steberty valentine To Day with
your kids?

Speaker 3 (04:31):
So I always like to do a cute little thing
for my kids to wake up too, like I do
a little gift basket or whatever. And every year up
until now, I've always gone on Pinterest and tried to
be like the fun Pinterest all out Valentine for their
class exchange. And then like first I was like, Okay,
let's see the other Valentines that come home. There's the

(04:53):
paper ones from the dollar store or whatever, and I'm
like okay. And after five years of that, now that
ad is in fourth grade, you know you got her
garden all the way up, I'm like, I'm not doing it.

Speaker 2 (05:02):
This year, Like for what for?

Speaker 3 (05:04):
What am I doing this for? So I just got
the ones that come with the candies and we did
it that year and the kids are just as happy.

Speaker 4 (05:12):
I think the fun part of the Valentine is like
decorating the Valentine's box, not necessarily the actual Valentine that
you're giving to people.

Speaker 3 (05:21):
I think it's like the fun part is like reading
all the Valentines. And it's funny because like Addie is
now in fourth grade and this is the very first
year where she was very adamant about seeing what each
Valentine said, and she did not want to give certain
volunteers or certain Valentines to boys because she was like
it was like one one was like I'm crazy about

(05:42):
you or something like.

Speaker 2 (05:42):
That, and she's like, I can't give that to boys.

Speaker 3 (05:45):
I don't want to send that message.

Speaker 4 (05:47):
Got crazy about that?

Speaker 2 (05:49):
Right? I remember that about in elementars from my childhood.

Speaker 1 (05:52):
I remember, you know, being like an introvert and not
wanting attention and having to walk to every single person's
desk and give them a Valentine. It was give me
a pain in my stomach because I was like, what
if they take this to right?

Speaker 3 (06:03):
I know, I know, but it's like I was wondering
when that shift would happen because Easton he didn't care
about what any of them said.

Speaker 2 (06:11):
He just signed the names whatever.

Speaker 3 (06:13):
And I'm like, Okay, I guess fourth grade.

Speaker 2 (06:14):
Fourth grade is the shift. Fourth grade, he's the shift. Yes,
I feel like in fourth grade, I think so, I
think I.

Speaker 4 (06:23):
Had my first little crush in the fourth grade.

Speaker 2 (06:25):
But I remember thinking.

Speaker 4 (06:26):
Out like she's like paying attention to what's writing on it.
But is she like picking out the best Valentines for
her girlfriends?

Speaker 3 (06:32):
Oh yeah, she was like this one's just BFF, so
this one's definitely going to London and like.

Speaker 4 (06:38):
I remember that being a thing. Like if I was
beefing with some girl, I'm like, you get the lamest
valta you were.

Speaker 2 (06:44):
Yeah you started.

Speaker 3 (06:47):
Yeah, girls, girls, it happens earlier than fourth grade.

Speaker 1 (06:51):
All right, we got I remember I got it to
fight in fourth or fifth grade. And then I remember
the next day we had to get Valentine's Day card
and then like the dude, I got my card from
the guy.

Speaker 2 (06:59):
He was like nice, fake balue, cool, fine man. All Right,
