Direct from Hollywood with Ryan Seacrest part to Believe. It's
been twenty years since Hillary Dupp's breakout debut on Metamorphosis,
which followed up on her success as Lizzie McGuire, and
that album title holds more meaning than ever because Hillary
Jester revealed on The Good Guys podcast her biggest reason
for wanting to make a record was to shatter the
Lizzie McGuire perception. She felt trapped by, saying at the time,

I wanted to start singing, and Disney was not on board.
My eventual label, Hollywood Records, didn't want to sign me
right away, so it wasn't like they were thinking, let's
just juice this for what we can. It was my idea.
I wanted to sing. I really didn't want to beat
Lizzie McGuire anymore. I just desperately needed to be my
own person, and I think that I thought music was
going to be a good way to reintroduce myself and
it was. Hillary also says she does want to record

a new album, particularly since her husband Matthew was a
talented music producer, but not sure when that's Direct from
