Speaker 1 (00:00):
All right, So, sy, what is you issue with the texting?

Speaker 2 (00:03):
I wanted to get your take on this. I know
that you kind of are not like the greatest texter,
so maybe you're not the right person to ask. But
I have this weird anxiety when I text that I
feel like I have to include an emoji to really
express my tone. Otherwise in my head, I feel like
the reader is going to read it like mean or

(00:24):
snarky or like if I'm I don't know, and like
exclamation marks bothering me. But I feel like my texts
are naked without an emoji, and am I alone here?

Speaker 1 (00:35):
I don't feel that way, but I when I say
something that could be construed as direct, I'll put an
emoji after it to make it seem a little light heart.

Speaker 2 (00:43):
Like the melty face emoji when you're.

Speaker 1 (00:46):
Yeah, it's like, hey, can we and can we do
a little bit more of this? Hi, happy face or sunglasses,
I face head, whatever it is.

Speaker 2 (00:53):
But emojis and emails I think are too professional. Yes,
but I sometimes I still want to put a happy face,
but I just do like the semi colon and like
the parentheses to kind of just make it all be
the same. Text.

Speaker 1 (01:05):
Yeah, I do add if I feel like somebody could
be read it's like, wow, that was direct. I'll put
an emoji at the end so that they can read
what I'm thinking. But it's not like I'm upset.

Speaker 2 (01:16):
I like an emoji in every text. I get it.

Speaker 1 (01:21):
What is your favorite emoji?

Speaker 2 (01:23):
Well, let's look at my favorites. I use the heart,
the heart around the smiley face a lot. Like I
love that.

Speaker 1 (01:30):
I use the smiley face, the winky eye, and the
face that has the heart on the mound.

Speaker 2 (01:36):
Are you sending the winky eye to excuse me?

Speaker 1 (01:38):
This is between me and my device.

Speaker 2 (01:43):
I use the that'sirty, the melty face, the melty face
a lot, and the like the nerdy one with like
the glasses and like the teeth. Yeah, I use that
one a lot, and the sweaty head one.

Speaker 1 (01:57):
The sweaty head one.

Speaker 2 (02:00):
Yes, Like, oh my gosh, we have to do all
of this by the end of the day, it's gonna
be fine. You ever use produce, I don't have any
of my frequently use a lot of produce. I do
have a disco ball in my frequently.

Speaker 1 (02:15):
Oh that's a fun one.

Speaker 2 (02:16):
No, one's fun.

Speaker 1 (02:17):
But like if I type you want to go for dinner.
Sometimes I had a pizza slice or something.

Speaker 2 (02:23):
Pizza and the winky face, the winky pace for Nash.

Speaker 1 (02:31):
It's not like intended for someone specifically, but I think
I do it just you know, like when you would
say something wink at somebody, you never sent us the winking.

Speaker 2 (02:38):
You've never gotten a winkie mabegie from you.

Speaker 1 (02:41):
Not once, going You're not going to get one from me.

Speaker 2 (02:43):
That's what I'm saying. Who's it going to? If you're
using it so much?

Speaker 1 (02:45):
I know you've asked me three times and it's not
going to anybody specific, I'm telling you. I mean, what
is with Tanya asking three times? Thinging this story is
going to change.

Speaker 2 (02:52):
I don't know why she does that. You don't use
an emode, you not once or ever with me at least,
And there's so many opportunities for you, like things pictures
I've sent from the kids or like whatever, and no
emotion ojis.

Speaker 1 (03:07):
I just I always I always just type yaya, even.

Speaker 2 (03:15):
Like happy birthday texts, you just put three exclamation marks.

Speaker 1 (03:18):
No, why do I find my most popular emojis?

Speaker 2 (03:21):
Oh my gosh, you just go like you're gonna use
an emoji, and then they're gonna be right there. They're
gonna say frequently used. Right there, you'll see them.

Speaker 1 (03:29):
Uh, frequently used. Okay, here we are smiley, winky, red lips, smiley,
upside down face, z's, the Italian flag, the birthday hat, crying,
and a wheel. I have no idea the wheel.

Speaker 2 (03:49):
Maybe wheel of fortune business text.

Speaker 1 (03:51):
I don't know anyway,
