Speaker 1 (00:00):
From Hollywood to you, thank you for listening to Ryan
Air on Air on Air with a Ryan Seacrest.

Speaker 2 (00:09):
Because I'm doom scrolling. There's an app to help you
stop doom scrolling.

Speaker 1 (00:15):
Now. Technically, doom scrolling.

Speaker 3 (00:17):
Is when you just go down the whole like and
you just never come back, and it could be an hour,
maybe even more for some people of just scrolling and
scrolling and scrolling on TikTok Instagram.

Speaker 1 (00:31):
It's amazing how we just get sucked into it.

Speaker 3 (00:33):
You get sucked into your own algorithm, whether it's dog
videos or thrift halls, get ready with me, like all
that stuff and you just for me. It's like diy
house stuff. Yeah, And so you just get stuck into it.

Speaker 1 (00:46):
So there's an app to help you stop now. It's
called the one sec App.

Speaker 3 (00:50):
I haven't tried this app, and I'm more I read
about it, I'm like, man, maybe I should. You do
have to pay for it, I think it's like twenty
bucks for the year, so it's not completely like that expensive,
but it for you to take a quick pause before
opening up those addictive apps. So literally it's just a
few seconds and it tells you to breathe, so you
don't fall straight into the scroll because I feel like

(01:11):
for some of us, you pick up your phone to
text a friend back or to just see your text messages,
and then you went into something. Yeah, you get into
your doom scrolling and you even mean to do that.

Speaker 1 (01:21):
All you want to do is just text somebody back.

Speaker 3 (01:23):
So it breaks that reflex of opening up your phone
without thinking. Half the time after the pause, you apparently
didn't even want to open Instagram anymore at all. Plus
it shows you how many times you've stopped yourself and
how much screen time that you've saved, which can be
a little motivating.

Speaker 1 (01:39):
So that's the one sec app.

Speaker 2 (01:41):
All right, the one sec sec app if you want
to check it out.

Speaker 1 (01:44):
But it's kind of cool.

Speaker 3 (01:45):
I put some of the screenshots on here for you
can so you can check out what they look like.
And so it would be something like, okay, it's time
to take a breath, and then it would be like,
what's your intention of opening Instagram this time?

Speaker 1 (01:57):
Oh? Caught? Like a feeling caught? Right? Are you bored
to escape or avoid something? Entertainment? What are you running from?

Speaker 4 (02:06):
Right?

Speaker 5 (02:06):
Well, I'm just like sitting at the vet waiting.

Speaker 1 (02:08):
For my dog like read a book.

Speaker 3 (02:12):
The other ones are five attempts to open Instagram within
twenty four hours. Last years was eleven hours ago. So
it told you last sid it's a gamekeeper, it's a referee,
it's a job. So you can click right there. I
don't want to open Instagram and then it'll shut the
app down.

Speaker 2 (02:26):
I love I actually quite love it, because you're right,
I will open stuff up. I don't even realize i'm
opening it up, like I'm just like, I'm not imaginally grabbing,
reaching for it, opening stuff, checking stuff, opening stuff.

Speaker 3 (02:37):
Yeah, so I went in to see I'm like, okay,
how much do I spend on social media?

Speaker 1 (02:42):
I checked mine.

Speaker 3 (02:43):
My average was an hour and twenty two minutes a
day on social media.

Speaker 5 (02:49):
That's low.

Speaker 1 (02:50):
What is yours?

Speaker 5 (02:51):
I have no idea, but I'm sure it's high.

Speaker 1 (02:53):
She doesn't want to know. You don't want to know.

Speaker 6 (02:56):
Well, I don't want to get this app, because that's
how the whole thing starts with me. I have to read,
do my Apple, I upload my Gmail password, my screen time, Oh,
it'll pop right up.

Speaker 1 (03:06):
Well, they do this fun activity.

Speaker 2 (03:08):
We will take a quick break and coming up we'll
find out how much screen time, Tony has both of
you tab Actually, well, you have to tell me how
to find that.

Speaker 1 (03:16):
It's pretty easy, Tony. You were checking your screen time,
what'd you find?

Speaker 6 (03:20):
I'm in my social media apps an hour and fifty
two minutes, okay, which seems kind of low for me.

Speaker 1 (03:26):
Honestly, it's two hours a day, Tony, Tony, it's a lot.
I'm in my settings. It doesn't give me any information. Yeah,
I don't know what your screen is. It says screen
time get insights, but there's no insights. Does it then?
Know where to click? No?

Speaker 2 (03:41):
I mean I can click. It's have to set it
up or something. Yeah, I'll let two point seven. It's
kiss FM. So this is big on TikTok. Mikayla's going
to help us with this because this was her idea
to bring to the show. She recorded herself singing backwards
reverse singing. It's challenging and people are having fun doing it. So, Mikaitla,
what did you do? Actually boys backwards?

Speaker 7 (04:01):
Yes, yep, I sang it and uh.

Speaker 1 (04:05):
What do you do? How do you do it?

Speaker 7 (04:07):
So basically, you pick a song, like a sentence from
a song, you sing it and then it reverses it backwards.

Speaker 1 (04:14):
Sing it backwards.

Speaker 2 (04:15):
You you were You don't have to sing it live backwards,
it's just you reverse the audio.

Speaker 7 (04:19):
You reverse the audio first, but then there's someone else
that has to sing it backwards to try to get
it to sound correct.

Speaker 3 (04:25):
So you sing it backwards when you hear it, and
then you play that backwards and then that is technically
in the real.

Speaker 1 (04:32):
Way to hear it. So here's the song that way?
Then you did this?

Speaker 5 (04:39):
I want it that way.

Speaker 1 (04:43):
That's pretty good. Let's go to the judges on that one.
Why do it cringe? That's harsh? That was so good?
I don't know.

Speaker 5 (04:51):
That wasn't the best?

Speaker 1 (04:52):
Say it's not for me?

Speaker 8 (04:54):
Uh?

Speaker 1 (04:54):
I mean this is the reverse trend? Okay? Right?

Speaker 5 (04:58):
Hey, no where.

Speaker 1 (05:03):
Are you singing that? Or did they? That's reversed? Yeah?
Automatic with the machine? Okay, God, So now we have
to all.

Speaker 3 (05:10):
Take to try to take a shop re reenacting that. Basically,
can I hear it again?

Speaker 1 (05:16):
Which do you want to hear? The reverse? The reverse?

Speaker 7 (05:21):
Hey, no, you don't have to do that.

Speaker 1 (05:25):
You have to sing it then we reverse c one.
This is a trend. He' no, now you're right? No where?

Speaker 2 (05:45):
Hey, no language?

Speaker 1 (05:53):
Why is this popular.

Speaker 3 (05:56):
I watched so many of these videos because they're hysterical.

Speaker 1 (06:00):
Me, why tell me why?

Speaker 2 (06:02):
Two point seven? It's kiss off, m stick around because
we are not going on this.

Speaker 1 (06:06):
Morning, all right.

Speaker 2 (06:07):
So Mikayla has a great idea. How can you go
another day without participting this TikTok trend? What reverse singing?

Speaker 1 (06:13):
What is it?

Speaker 2 (06:14):
Well, you sing a song in reverse and then we
flip it to forward and see if you got it right. So,
for example, the backshi voice, she chose this way and
then she sang it like.

Speaker 7 (06:28):
This, I want it that way.

Speaker 9 (06:34):
Then it gets reversed like this, Hey.

Speaker 1 (06:38):
No, will are we trying to mimic it?

Speaker 2 (06:42):
We sang reverse and now we're gonna flip it forward
to see if we got close to correct correct. Here
we go, this is sisiny backwards cue.

Speaker 1 (06:56):
One. So she did that live.

Speaker 5 (06:58):
Oh that was the reverse like this is not?

Speaker 1 (07:02):
No, that was.

Speaker 2 (07:04):
Now we flipped it automatically forwards to see if we
get the correct version.

Speaker 1 (07:07):
And here is the automatic flip No on, isn't it
the same?

Speaker 8 (07:16):
Is that?

Speaker 1 (07:16):
Every time I see it online like they nail it, Like.

Speaker 2 (07:19):
How was that actually reversed automatically? That sounded like the original.
So Tanya live sang based on what she heard Live
sang the Backstreet Boys, I want it that way backwards.

Speaker 1 (07:34):
He that was live earlier.

Speaker 2 (07:39):
Now we automatically played it forward to see if she
says the English words.

Speaker 1 (07:52):
Yeah, I don't want to play mine. I feel like
yours might be the closest out of all of ours.

Speaker 2 (07:57):
At this point, it's impossible. So all right, is it
TikTok trend? So here's me live singing what I think
is the reverse of the Backstreet Boys.

Speaker 1 (08:07):
I want it that way.

Speaker 2 (08:09):
Hey, No, here's this I'm about to play supposed to
be this, and here we go.

Speaker 1 (08:19):
Oh you know where we went wrong on him? We
tried to sing it in the in the eye want.

Speaker 5 (08:30):
Were singing it in the way the way.

Speaker 1 (08:32):
And that's what happened. Accept the challenge and let's go
one more time. This trend.

Speaker 5 (08:43):
Loves it.

Speaker 1 (08:45):
Love this trend.

Speaker 2 (08:46):
Try it yourself, send us talk back of you doing it.
Pick a song again. I have the equipment to reverse it,
and maybe you can do it your phone. Two point
seven kiss FM seacrest with you, Tanya Sicity in the
back room. I got Abby on the phone. Abby, you
say your husband, Hi, your husband got.

Speaker 1 (09:03):
You a what.

Speaker 8 (09:06):
An old dog?

Speaker 1 (09:09):
And what's the problem.

Speaker 8 (09:10):
Yeah, yeah, Well, basically, I've wanted a dog for so
long and I've been trying to convince him, and he
finally caved, but instead of picking out a puppy or
like even just a younger dog altogether, he surprised me
and came home with a really sick, old senior dog.

(09:31):
And like his reasoning was just that every dog needs
a home, which I completely respect and I agree with
one hundred percent. But I'm struggling, and perhaps I'm overthinking it.
But I'm just wondering if maybe he picked a senior
dog on purpose that we wouldn't like have to be
responsible for it for as long. Like he gave me
what I wanted, but in a really temporary way, and

(09:54):
I feel really like bad and.

Speaker 2 (09:56):
Guilty even saying that, I'm just thinking about your car
after that, I'm just thinking about your car, even if
you feel dog, saying it's another step.

Speaker 1 (10:08):
It's a senior sick dog.

Speaker 6 (10:10):
She's not upset about love dog, She's not upset about
the dog. She's upset about the frame of mind that
maybe her boyfriend is in thinking that maybe it's a
temporary relationship and he doesn't want to stick around for
too long.

Speaker 2 (10:23):
Is overthinking it's her husband and maybe he doesn't want
to stick around.

Speaker 1 (10:28):
But still that's also dark.

Speaker 2 (10:29):
But Abby, we can't think of ourselves in this situation.
The dog is now with you. The dog needs your love.
The dog needs to feel love. We can't think about
this other stuff.

Speaker 3 (10:40):
He give me the dog. I'll take the dog. I
just lost one of my dogs.

Speaker 1 (10:45):
Either.

Speaker 8 (10:48):
And I know I sound ungrateful or like hurtless, but
you know, I don't know or.

Speaker 1 (10:53):
Ungrateful, just not.

Speaker 3 (10:55):
I just think it's not what you had in your
mind of your story.

Speaker 1 (11:00):
Just you got to take yourself out. It is the dog.

Speaker 8 (11:03):
I'm also I'm trying to figure out how to wrap
my head around like being a new dog mom. But
also the loss might become coming a lot sooner than
I don't even.

Speaker 1 (11:13):
Worry about that right now.

Speaker 2 (11:17):
If you are not going to love this dog, Abby,
there are people that will love this dog.

Speaker 1 (11:21):
Please love this dog. If not, please call us. We
will find this dog a home.

Speaker 5 (11:27):
I love the dog.

Speaker 1 (11:28):
That's not the problem. There's no problem. Got to move forward.

Speaker 2 (11:33):
Yes, this is your life now. The universe brought this
dog to you for some reason.

Speaker 1 (11:39):
What's the dog's name?

Speaker 10 (11:42):
His name is buddy.

Speaker 1 (11:43):
Buddy. Yeah, everybody needs a buddy, all right?

Speaker 2 (11:49):
Yeah, Abby, thank you for your honesty, but go love
the dog.

Speaker 1 (11:55):
Thank you, guys, you're welcome. Yeah, you can't say that's
sick dog, send picks. Why can't you take pictures of
the dog? No?

Speaker 2 (12:05):
No, I feel bad that she's feeling that way. I
went the dog to find the love. So Abby, you
have our number? Yes, overthinking it? You're on kiss La.
Alex in Venice has reached out in need of some help.
So Alex, let me run this by everybody. She was
rollerblading down the beach in Venice. Second date update here,

(12:28):
and you were jogging so you kept up with her
for as long as you could. Wow, that's nice.

Speaker 1 (12:33):
Good on you.

Speaker 2 (12:34):
After three miles he kept up at a rollerblade pace
for three miles. She stopped. She said, Okay, I'm impressed.
That's cute. So into this story. We had two dates.
The second date, she spent the night at your place, Alex.

Speaker 1 (12:51):
True yeah yeah, yeah, yes, yeah, so what went wrong?
Why don't you woke up the next morning? What happened?

Speaker 10 (12:58):
So?

Speaker 1 (12:58):
Yeah?

Speaker 11 (12:59):
I mean yeah, we like I said roller or she
was rollerblading. I saw her coming down. I was blown
away by her. I knew I had to meet her,
so I was just like running next to her, and yeah,
somehow it worked. So two dates. Our first date, I
took her to UCB. Thought it'd be fun and I
know a couple of the performers, so it was a
good time. Second date, we went to c and O

(13:23):
great meal, laughed the whole time. Brought her back to
my place, and you know, the second date, I figured
it was fine. And she spent the night, and I
mean at least a part of the night, because when
I woke up, she was gone.

Speaker 2 (13:35):
Okay, I need you to like sort of look around
your house or your apartment. Is there anything that might
stand out as a.

Speaker 1 (13:44):
Dick?

Speaker 11 (13:47):
I don't think so. I mean, I think my apartment's awesome.
And I had liked the embarrassing stuff, So I.

Speaker 1 (13:54):
What is the embarrassing stuff you here that you can
say on the air.

Speaker 11 (13:59):
Honestly, nothing bad, like you know, I've got like some
like bobbleheads and trinkets. I got a bog you know,
But I figured we hadn't talked about.

Speaker 2 (14:07):
That suf, so like maybe maybe she stumbled upon this
was your trash filled with crud?

Speaker 11 (14:15):
No, No, I actually I got a nice place and
I thought we had fun. I you know, I've been
told I'm a good kisser, So if I honestly, if
I had any idea of what went wrong, I wouldn't
have reached out. But I'm kind of at a loss here.

Speaker 1 (14:27):
How old are you, guys? I'm thirty thirty?

Speaker 2 (14:33):
All right, Alex, what do you think the reason is
that you're thirty and single? I only asked this, and
as it probably I shouldn't even ask this because people
ask me the same question at fifty and I'm like, well,
why are you asking me that?

Speaker 11 (14:45):
You know, you know, dating apps and all that. And
I thought, you know, this is great because it's kind
of the old fashioned way, you know, like what a
good like little meat, cute story. And yeah, I thought
things were going well.

Speaker 1 (14:57):
I think she got college frat boy vibes from you.
All right, well let's find out.

Speaker 2 (15:00):
Because it was doing well, and then she spent the
night and if you're good at all the other stuff,
then she sawnic or something happened at your place.

Speaker 1 (15:06):
We're coming back.

Speaker 2 (15:07):
It's a second date update with Alex on Kiss FM,
one of two point seven Kiss FM. All right, it
is time for a second date update results call. This
is it the results show episode. So Alex has reached
out to us. Dude meets a girl. This is a
really cool direction they're on. They're in Venice. He's jogging,
she's rollerblading. He goes three miles keeping up on her pace.

(15:28):
She turns to him and goes, I'm impressed.

Speaker 1 (15:30):
Love it.

Speaker 2 (15:31):
So they end up going out a couple of times.
She spends the night, then she totally blocks them and
goes him After spending the night, he says he's good
at all the things. But we think that there are
some artifacts or some items that he may have mentioned
right that are just like weird, weird to see, right,
Like I just think I think our hunch base on experience.
Here was there was an inck at his place.

Speaker 1 (15:52):
Hide him, so she must have found them.

Speaker 2 (15:56):
Right, or like little things can throw you off, like
sheets or smells right, or I mean just little things
can throw you. It happens. It's like a risk it
to somebody a dirty bathroom. It's a big risk to
take somebody into your place. Oh yeah, like oh here
comes the judgment.

Speaker 1 (16:16):
I mean, I'm like that even when my friends come
over and like want make sure the house is clean.
So let's find out Alex. You heard all that.

Speaker 2 (16:23):
I'm gonna get Jackie on the phone now, be very
quietly so you can find out.

Speaker 11 (16:26):
Okay, all right, thank.

Speaker 2 (16:29):
You, Hey, Jackie, Ryan Seacrestis, and Tanya. You're on the
erics M. Thanks for coming on with us.

Speaker 10 (16:36):
Hey, of course.

Speaker 2 (16:37):
So we're calling about a guy named Alex that you
met while you were rollerblading.

Speaker 1 (16:41):
Do you remember this?

Speaker 11 (16:43):
Oh?

Speaker 10 (16:45):
Uh, that was the guy on the beach right, Yes,
you were rollerblading, he was jogging.

Speaker 2 (16:50):
He sort of like kept up and then you said
you were impressed and went out with him a couple
of times.

Speaker 10 (16:55):
Yeah. Wow, this is it's really weird that you're calling
me about a guy I went out with twice?

Speaker 1 (17:00):
Well, did anything advanced happened with this guy?

Speaker 10 (17:08):
Did anything advanced?

Speaker 1 (17:10):
Question?

Speaker 2 (17:12):
What do you want me to ask? I'm trying to
find out what happened on the second date? So Jackie,
what happened on the second date?

Speaker 1 (17:17):
Then?

Speaker 3 (17:19):
Sorry?

Speaker 10 (17:21):
Yeah, so well I don't know like how much you know,
but yeah, so I guess we ended up back at
his place. After the second date and we were like
kissing or whatever, and we you know, we went to
the bedroom and I like started to pull the sheets back,

(17:41):
you know, to like get under the covers, and he
stopped me and he was like no, no, no, no, here
and he threw me a blanket. Okay, so whatever, right.
So so then after I'm like, okay, can I get
under the covers now? And he was like no, I
just sleep with a blanket that way, I don't have
to wash the sheet.

Speaker 1 (18:02):
That's what he said. All right. So here in lies
the plot thickening. And that was an dick.

Speaker 10 (18:11):
It was quite an ick. Yeah, I mean it just
seemed like juvenile and honestly kind of insulting, like like
am I not worth like washing your sheets for?

Speaker 1 (18:20):
You know? It's very weird that it's strange.

Speaker 2 (18:23):
Alex is on the phone. This is a pretty direct
response request, Alex, what do you say to Jackie about this?

Speaker 10 (18:29):
Now?

Speaker 1 (18:29):
You know why she blocked you? Oh?

Speaker 11 (18:33):
I mean yeah, I don't know. Maybe I didn't mention it,
but uh, the washer and my machine or the washer
my my building is broken, so I have to use
the laundromats.

Speaker 1 (18:44):
Still, Okay, who cares?

Speaker 5 (18:47):
What okay, maybe you like to go there?

Speaker 10 (18:51):
Am I not laundromat worthy?

Speaker 9 (18:53):
Like, I don't know you.

Speaker 1 (18:53):
That's over that you were into?

Speaker 11 (18:58):
Yeah, I mean, yeah, yes you are. I just I
wasn't thinking. I was just caught up in the moment.
I've just been using the blanket. So it's, you know,
not that not that big of a deal though.

Speaker 2 (19:10):
I heard of like stage design and set designers in
Hollywood and stuff like that. You know, they they just
they kind of set up an environment that is full proof.
I feel like, if you're going to invite a new
person like Jackie over, you gotta set the stage a
little bit. Since lighting blankets things like.

Speaker 1 (19:32):
That, right, being able to in the sheets.

Speaker 2 (19:36):
Because otherwise go to hers, I bet it's I mean,
on average, probably cleaner over at hers and her friends
and yours, you know what I mean.

Speaker 4 (19:45):
Yeah, but I don't know.

Speaker 11 (19:46):
I mean, that's really like the rest of the date
was nice, so it was all I.

Speaker 10 (19:54):
Mean, listen, it was nice. But now that we're I mean,
now that we're hashing this out, I mean you you
took home my leftovers for yourself. Oh yeah, and the
free garlic knots, and I just remember so the bill
it came to like seventy eight whatever and sixty nine cents,

(20:15):
and you thought that was hilarious because you're just like
two years old. So then, I mean, you might be
a good dude and whatever, but I don't know. I
don't know. I just think you're not like a fully
formed human yet, Jackie.

Speaker 2 (20:32):
I mean, I don't seldom as a human. But I
think Alex has a lot to learn here and for
sure not working out.

Speaker 1 (20:39):
We have clarity, and.

Speaker 2 (20:39):
That's good news, right all right, Jackie, thank you for
your very vague candor and uh alex teaching moment.

Speaker 11 (20:51):
Indeed, I guess so I thought it was funny.

Speaker 1 (20:53):
I mean, all right, I think it's back to the trail,
back to the path of venisonce thanks a second on
air with Ryan Seacrest, It's kiss. Now. Do you sleep
with a sound? No silence in my room? Okay? Do

(21:14):
you sleep with a sound? Tanya?

Speaker 9 (21:16):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (21:16):
You bet you what kind of noise? We'll color noise.

Speaker 5 (21:20):
It's like we have the hatch and it makes some
sort of like brown noise.

Speaker 1 (21:23):
I think is that an app like a child night?
I can't live the child? So she and cute it is?

Speaker 2 (21:32):
So have you tried. Have you tried soggio frequencies? Never
to be sad of that?

Speaker 1 (21:38):
All right?

Speaker 2 (21:39):
So soggio frequencies. There are nine specific sound frequencies. It's
a new trend. People are sleeping better with these sounds.
They believe to have a healing and balancing effect on
the body and of the mind. So they're supposed to
relax you and heal you while you sleep. Here's what
they sound like. Here's an example of a blue one

(21:59):
blue sound, so feggio frequencies.

Speaker 1 (22:05):
You can't do that. It gives me anxiety. You guys
like I can just give you anxiety. I don't know.
I don't like it. Well, here's green sound. That's the same. No,
it's a little higher, little higher. You don't feel this
in your heart. My heart is like that.

Speaker 10 (22:19):
No, I don't.

Speaker 6 (22:20):
I'm not sleep to.

Speaker 3 (22:21):
This does not relax me because I don't know what
it's going to end. I don't like how not I
don't know.

Speaker 2 (22:25):
Here's the brown sounds so feggio frequencies. I like this too.
I haven't the playlist of these, which is why we're
hearing this. Here's the yellow one, Sisney, don't belittle it.
This helps a lot. It relaxes.

Speaker 5 (22:43):
I could sleep with this because it's like I'm going
to church.

Speaker 1 (22:48):
What is your church sound like?

Speaker 9 (22:50):
Just like it sounds like everyone gather around.

Speaker 1 (23:01):
That's what it's supposed to sound. Hit a dong, by
the way, I'm happy we are not roommates. Oh it's
a gongs. I think it's very hypnotizing.

Speaker 10 (23:10):
I do do.

Speaker 5 (23:11):
I like it. I wonder if my hatch has it.

Speaker 2 (23:14):
I'll bet your search it's s O L F E
G G I O frequencies. So veggio a new trend
right now. People are sleeping great with these sounds.

Speaker 1 (23:23):
Is it Italian? Well, I'm guessing so veggio must die.
There's not a lot of science mind it, but some
scientists do beilee.

Speaker 2 (23:36):
The vibrations can change the brain weave activity and activate
the parasympathetic nervous system, which is the body's natural rest
and relaxed mode. I think there's no downside to try it.

Speaker 6 (23:47):
No anything that's going to improve my sleep. Sign me
up at a number one.

Speaker 1 (23:52):
Hit music station.

Speaker 2 (23:53):
We are on streaming on every device you have on
the Ihearts radio app. If you're going out of town,
take us with you don't have to miss a thing
plug into la no matter where are you're going. Mom
listens to us in the morning while she takes her
walks in Atlanta.

Speaker 1 (24:09):
She was texting me like.

Speaker 2 (24:10):
During the show, comments but random, like you know, we
talk about something. And she's like, that's right, what are
you talking about?

Speaker 1 (24:19):
She was, that's funny. I'm like, what, Oh, listen to you, guys.
I know it's part. My sister does that a lot too,
like no context. Yeah, and then.

Speaker 3 (24:26):
I'll get it like sometimes I'll see you like an
hour half later and no idea.

Speaker 2 (24:29):
What you And by the way, I don't remember what
we talked about anyway. Yeah, So listen to this. Tell
me where you stand.

Speaker 1 (24:36):
All right? I already know where.

Speaker 2 (24:38):
So there's a woman that posted this on TikTok. It
inspired a huge debate. Her name's Carra Ca. Call her Kara,
car Kara, Karra.

Speaker 1 (24:46):
What do you like? I would have said, Carra, Carra, fine,
let's call her Kara. I don't know her.

Speaker 2 (24:49):
But she was waiting to board at the Tampa Airport
a plane, and she asked a woman another passenger there
at the airport, sitting near her, if she would watch
her carry on while she went to the bathroom, so
that alone, I would not do.

Speaker 1 (25:02):
I don't know who's the person. What I do that
all the time a stranger. Yeah, I don't want to
watch someone.

Speaker 2 (25:09):
Are you allowed to even watch someone's bag? What if
it's a bag with something bad?

Speaker 1 (25:12):
Exactly?

Speaker 5 (25:13):
It gives my carry on into them?

Speaker 1 (25:15):
Then what if they don't come back? I'm like, now
you need to leave.

Speaker 2 (25:18):
What if it's got something bad in it and you're
watching the bag, then you've been set up.

Speaker 6 (25:22):
I assessed the situation, and I trust that my TSA
has protected me.

Speaker 1 (25:26):
Have you not seen that movie in the airport that
carry one he's watched? Yeah, you should watch that movie.
You really learn a lot Netflix security safety. I started
watching Oxford. What's Oxford? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (25:39):
That guy's could looking. I get frustrated. He's very cute, cute.
I couldn't be so cute. I couldn't watch him like
he's so charming and cute.

Speaker 1 (25:47):
I couldn't watch Is that a guy thing?

Speaker 2 (25:51):
Like when guys are so good looking and charming, I
can't watch the whole thing.

Speaker 1 (25:55):
Really, it's very fast on. Have you've been watching the
summer return?

Speaker 5 (25:58):
Pretty?

Speaker 1 (25:59):
Because I wonder if you'd but to get through that
summer I turned pretty No, oh, it's so good right now,
there's like two or three episodes left. I started all recommended,
and the guys are so good looking. I had to
stop Love Island. Maybe I don't know.

Speaker 2 (26:10):
Anyway, back to the story, Okay, so the woman said,
the stranger said, no, you got to take your bag
with you. I can't watch your bag and the bathroom
just a few steps away. She didn't take the bag.
But people are all up in arms about this, saying, well,
was the woman's so rude? Yeah, the others are saying, well,
you don't leave your carry on bag with a stranger.
I don't think the airport lets you do that, wants
you to do that unless you know the person, or
unless you know what's in the bag, because don't they

(26:31):
ask you did you pack your bags that've been with
you the whole time? Like it doesn't seem like it's
safe to just.

Speaker 3 (26:36):
It's nice, nice, and then you don't know that person
that was quote watching your bag put something in your bag,
and you.

Speaker 1 (26:43):
Know it's just keep your bags to yourself.

Speaker 2 (26:45):
But everyone was all on different sides of this. I
think it's your bag you gotta take away.

Speaker 3 (26:49):
You look it's just like here Tanya doesn't see an
issue with it, where you and I are.

Speaker 5 (26:53):
Like, hey, I don't want to roll my bag into
the bathroom.

Speaker 6 (26:56):
I don't have to, like I already have to wet
ones wipe all my luggage.

Speaker 5 (27:00):
I get home anyway.

Speaker 1 (27:01):
But do you go to a stranger to watch your back?

Speaker 5 (27:04):
Yeah? I usually ask a woman. I never I have
never asked a guy.

Speaker 1 (27:08):
Actually, why is that interesting? Very intr We're not trustworthy.

Speaker 7 (27:13):
I don't know.

Speaker 5 (27:13):
It's just like a natural instinct.

Speaker 2 (27:15):
So you it's just okay, you're afraid to leave it
with a guy, but not afraid to leave it with
a strangers.

Speaker 3 (27:20):
Feel it's kind of not nice to make someone watch
your bag.

Speaker 1 (27:25):
It's not okay.

Speaker 5 (27:26):
It's not just me. I'm not gonna go pick up
a sandwich, get a coffee.

Speaker 2 (27:30):
Why I I think if I work at the airport,
I'm telling you it's not safe.

Speaker 1 (27:34):
You don't know the person, you don't know what's in there.

Speaker 3 (27:36):
If somebody asked me, I'd be very annoyed. I'd be like, oh,
but you would say yes, and I would be very annoyed.

Speaker 1 (27:43):
Because then I'm like, when are they coming back?

Speaker 2 (27:45):
He'll be right back, Kiss, Kiss FM. Seacrest with you
one eight hundred and five to one oh two seven
is our number into the studio, keep it handy, send
when we give away stuff. Damien in Pomona, Good morning, Damien.

Speaker 1 (28:00):
How are you?

Speaker 4 (28:01):
Good morning? I'm doing good. How about you?

Speaker 1 (28:03):
I'm all right?

Speaker 2 (28:04):
So it says here on the screen she unmatched me?
Should I still show up to date? What happened?

Speaker 4 (28:11):
Yeah? So I matched with a woman on hinge and okay,
we had a great conversation on and off for like
a few weeks, and I asked her out and she
seemed excited about it, and we made the plan for
tonight at six and we confirmed last night. But I
woke up this morning and she unmatched me. So my

(28:31):
question is should I still go?

Speaker 1 (28:35):
Yeah? Well, Tony says yes, why she.

Speaker 6 (28:38):
Probably unmatched you because she has high hopes for this
date and she's like, I don't need this happen anymore.

Speaker 5 (28:43):
I found the one Wow.

Speaker 1 (28:45):
That is showing to a conclusion. Yeah, I don't know.

Speaker 3 (28:49):
So if she unmatched you, does that mean you can't
contact her at all?

Speaker 10 (28:55):
Right?

Speaker 1 (28:56):
Weird? I think it's weird. I don't know if I
would show up, right, it sounds like she's a goner. Yes,
she's moved on from you. It sounds like no.

Speaker 3 (29:06):
But if you're necessarily is that what you did when
you went out with Robbie?

Speaker 2 (29:09):
Yeah, to you, because she met her husband on Hane
how to work for you? I, well, we weren't just
talking in the app.

Speaker 6 (29:14):
We had each other's phone numbers, so even if I
would unmatched him, I still could have been able to
contact him. But yeah, maybe she's just excited about the
day and she just wants to be off.

Speaker 5 (29:24):
She thinks you're it, but.

Speaker 1 (29:25):
Then there's no way to contact him. If she's running
late or whatever.

Speaker 5 (29:28):
Well, don't be late.

Speaker 1 (29:30):
If you have, you made the plans. You made the plans.
Just show up. See how it goes. Roll the dice.
Let's see what happens.

Speaker 6 (29:36):
Worst thing, you get stood up, and then maybe you
find maybe you were meant to be at this bar
and the person you're supposed to be with is also
getting stood up at the same time, and then you
meet her, and then there's your love story.

Speaker 2 (29:47):
That's our fairy tale name Tanya, that would be Daman.
Go for it, edible, show up. You've made the plans.
Let's play it out. Then you'll know for certain if
it's on or off. Let's have clarity. I love you
for Colin, Thank you very much, good luck.

Speaker 4 (30:03):
Thanks dating.

Speaker 2 (30:04):
You can hear the depression in his voice. It's just
not fun, yeah, an enthusiastic Exactly. It's not good until
it's good.

Speaker 10 (30:13):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (30:13):
You just gotta find the right one.

Speaker 1 (30:14):
You gotta find the wrong one.

Speaker 2 (30:15):
Dam it, get out there, Okay, go for it. I
changed my swing. Take the swing.

Speaker 1 (30:19):
I would not want to date again. Sorry. As I
was saying, I was like, oh, this is not gonna
come off like to brag about. Well, you're just saying
how much like it sucks. And I'm like, yeah, you're right, Yeah,
I don't make it up. Yeah.

Speaker 6 (30:39):
My girlfriend doesn't even want to do it alone anymore.
She's like, you're all coming with me.

Speaker 2 (30:42):
I don't want to go out alone either. Let me
go with her. Well, that is going to wrap it
up for us. Hey, if someone assistant Tony, if someone
you used to like told you they had feelings for
you today, would you be flattered or annoyed?

Speaker 6 (30:55):
Tanya, I'd be flattered and I'd be like, I'm taking baby.

Speaker 1 (31:00):
I wouldn't feel a thing like I wouldn't feel annoyed.
I wouldn't feel flattered. I feel nothing. I feel both.

Speaker 5 (31:09):
Yeah, yeah, I think both right, right, they.

Speaker 1 (31:14):
Wouldn't bother me.

Speaker 5 (31:16):
But it's also like, why are they coming to you now?

Speaker 1 (31:19):
It's a hypothetical, guys, it's not happening. I just want
to feel out. I imagine they all do anyways.

Speaker 2 (31:24):
So right, I mean in Sisty's had, she's got her
movie written. Tomorrow, we're back. Thank you, back room, bye my,
thank you bye, and.

The Burden

The Burden

The Burden is a documentary series that takes listeners into the hidden places where justice is done (and undone). It dives deep into the lives of heroes and villains. And it focuses a spotlight on those who triumph even when the odds are against them. Season 5 - The Burden: Death & Deceit in Alliance On April Fools Day 1999, 26-year-old Yvonne Layne was found murdered in her Alliance, Ohio home. David Thorne, her ex-boyfriend and father of one of her children, was instantly a suspect. Another young man admitted to the murder, and David breathed a sigh of relief, until the confessed murderer fingered David; “He paid me to do it.” David was sentenced to life without parole. Two decades later, Pulitzer winner and podcast host, Maggie Freleng (Bone Valley Season 3: Graves County, Wrongful Conviction, Suave) launched a “live” investigation into David's conviction alongside Jason Baldwin (himself wrongfully convicted as a member of the West Memphis Three). Maggie had come to believe that the entire investigation of David was botched by the tiny local police department, or worse, covered up the real killer. Was Maggie correct? Was David’s claim of innocence credible? In Death and Deceit in Alliance, Maggie recounts the case that launched her career, and ultimately, “broke” her.” The results will shock the listener and reduce Maggie to tears and self-doubt. This is not your typical wrongful conviction story. In fact, it turns the genre on its head. It asks the question: What if our champions are foolish? Season 4 - The Burden: Get the Money and Run “Trying to murder my father, this was the thing that put me on the path.” That’s Joe Loya and that path was bank robbery. Bank, bank, bank, bank, bank. In season 4 of The Burden: Get the Money and Run, we hear from Joe who was once the most prolific bank robber in Southern California, and beyond. He used disguises, body doubles, proxies. He leaped over counters, grabbed the money and ran. Even as the FBI was closing in. It was a showdown between a daring bank robber, and a patient FBI agent. Joe was no ordinary bank robber. He was bright, articulate, charismatic, and driven by a dark rage that he summoned up at will. In seven episodes, Joe tells all: the what, the how… and the why. Including why he tried to murder his father. Season 3 - The Burden: Avenger Miriam Lewin is one of Argentina’s leading journalists today. At 19 years old, she was kidnapped off the streets of Buenos Aires for her political activism and thrown into a concentration camp. Thousands of her fellow inmates were executed, tossed alive from a cargo plane into the ocean. Miriam, along with a handful of others, will survive the camp. Then as a journalist, she will wage a decades long campaign to bring her tormentors to justice. Avenger is about one woman’s triumphant battle against unbelievable odds to survive torture, claim justice for the crimes done against her and others like her, and change the future of her country. Season 2 - The Burden: Empire on Blood Empire on Blood is set in the Bronx, NY, in the early 90s, when two young drug dealers ruled an intersection known as “The Corner on Blood.” The boss, Calvin Buari, lived large. He and a protege swore they would build an empire on blood. Then the relationship frayed and the protege accused Calvin of a double homicide which he claimed he didn’t do. But did he? Award-winning journalist Steve Fishman spent seven years to answer that question. This is the story of one man’s last chance to overturn his life sentence. He may prevail, but someone’s gotta pay. The Burden: Empire on Blood is the director’s cut of the true crime classic which reached #1 on the charts when it was first released half a dozen years ago. Season 1 - The Burden In the 1990s, Detective Louis N. Scarcella was legendary. In a city overrun by violent crime, he cracked the toughest cases and put away the worst criminals. “The Hulk” was his nickname. Then the story changed. Scarcella ran into a group of convicted murderers who all say they are innocent. They turned themselves into jailhouse-lawyers and in prison founded a lway firm. When they realized Scarcella helped put many of them away, they set their sights on taking him down. And with the help of a NY Times reporter they have a chance. For years, Scarcella insisted he did nothing wrong. But that’s all he’d say. Until we tracked Scarcella to a sauna in a Russian bathhouse, where he started to talk..and talk and talk. “The guilty have gone free,” he whispered. And then agreed to take us into the belly of the beast. Welcome to The Burden.
