group is called Rolling with Dads and what they do
is they jog on Sunday mornings with their kids in strollers.

Yeah, I mean moms do this all the time. So
I love that there's this like a dad group doing it.

Yeah, the boys, it's a boy band.

So as a guy is actually a trainer, a nutritionist
and the dad behind the movement. He started this whole thing.

I would say you, we thank you Ryan for your
grissma honestly having me on you on your show and teach,
just to tell the mission, the journey and what we're
doing to supporting fathers in the community and giving them
a space where they can just get the resources they
need to help and dismissity. Thank you once again for

We love this story. I wanted to put you on
the air, and I have to be honest with you.
As time goes by, there are things that start making
me want to be a dad, because I would come up.
I love a good job. I love an early morning
before and then a coffee after, like a big coffee after.
Speaker 6 (04:40):
You know, we're bigger, we're big on a coffee. One
of our our good partners that we worked with the
Capital One Cafe in Galtown, Los Angeles. So well, those
one of the good partners that always hand.
Speaker 5 (04:51):
Out some coffee.

So yes, a good coffee is always good to get
you doing a nice express. Honestly, I like a double
shot express.
Speaker 2 (04:57):
Though you know we're gonna a you about this. I
think it goes too fast. But you know, let's go
back to the mission. So tell me how you started this.
If you picture it, it's a group of dads right
with young kids and they take a run on Sunday mornings.
The kids are in the strollers and the dads are jogging.
So tell me how this started.
Speaker 6 (05:18):
So the whole thing of how wrong Dads started was,
you know, as the first time father, you know, I
was experiencing challenges navigating through fatherhood and just didn't have
that supporting resources. And my son was the inspiration buying everything.
Speaker 5 (05:34):
So I running with Dads.
Speaker 6 (05:35):
We are more just a run club. We provide a
space of mental support, emotional support, and we take a
holistic approach in supporting dads. And the run club was
one of the things that I always had in mind
that I wanted to do as far as the wellness part,
So I did say, you know, I want to get
this going. I want to get this going like soon.
(05:57):
And I remember being we got our baby, right my
mom got the stroller. She was like, I'm gonna get
you a run shuler so you can still work out
with him. Some wouldn't include that, you know, there are
a part of my life. This is a lifestyle now.
So we're going to incorporate working out together and we're
going to see what that looks like. We're also showing
what a community looks like in bonding and having fun

and coming together.

You know.
Speaker 6 (06:21):
And it's a wonderful thing. It's a beautiful thing to
see all the fathers that are coming out there, that
are supporting and also are just happening. And you know,
you're coming out there, you're working out, so you know,
you kill two birds of one stone, you know. So
that's the beauty of it.
Speaker 2 (06:35):
And he's saying that you reinvent the dad bod by
also spending time with your friends and your baby, which
is a great idea. So how many dads do you
run with on a Sunday morning?
Speaker 1 (06:47):
Yeah, there's a stroller. Gotta be a scene. I love it.
Speaker 6 (06:51):
So we're hap anywhere from like I've said about like
ten to fifteen dads, you know, after like Daview with
Tony just came flooding in, like so many dadstuff came
out and it was like they're like, this is such
a great community to have, not just the far just
working out, but just have a community to talk and
have that share that experience where we're all going through together.
So it's actually a great thing. I think we all
push each other, we all motivate each other to go hard,

and we also you know, hold each other accountable. So
somebody shows up like we've got to be like extra lap.
I'm like, come on now, man, my lady's got bust
so much.
Speaker 2 (07:22):
Yeah, you got you gotta. Dad's a stroller running It's
a club here, And where do you do the run?
Do you rotate where you go?
Speaker 6 (07:30):
Oh, we're at al a historical park.
Speaker 2 (07:33):

Down Yes, every Sunday eight thirty am at ten thirty am.
But you know, because we've got kids, sometimes we get
a little bit late, so really it'll start to nine.

know anybody ever clean that can?

it in the garbage like right put in its can

So I'm also torn, but I think I'm gonna wear

first night, and then I have like a leather skirt
and like a leather top situation that I might wear

mean this is but you do want to make a
good impression because all these stars, oh the artists look
so great that you can't come out just you know,

we are. We live in LA The traffic is just

not great. No, so we started with taxis back in
the day. Remember you'd have people over, yeah, and you'd
have to call them a taxi, a college cab, your
place called a cab. Then they're uber and lyft and
all that started, which was un you would never imagine
that would be in our lifetime. Right now, you're telling
me that uber choppers are going to fly around La

Oh yeah, it's finally happening.

Uber is going full sci fi and adding helicopter flights
into its app as soon as twenty twenty six, so
instead of just ordering a car, you'll be able to
tap over for a chopper or a seaplane for certain routes,
obviously probably airport transfers city hubs first, but I'm really
pumped about this. LA is expected to be one of

the launch cities, so it's definitely happening in Los Angeles.
I just imagine skipping the four h five or the
one oh one that might take you an hour and
a half to get to the airport, and now it's
gonna take you five minutes how much?
Speaker 1 (20:21):
So that's the thing.

They don't have exact prices out, but Blades in New
York City is a company that does this already, and
they charge anywhere from one fifty to two fifty to
get into the city.
Speaker 2 (20:35):
For how long of a fly.

Pretty cool Aronic the airport from the airport into Manhattan,
So it would be I'm just kind of going off
of those prices, and I feel like we'll be somewhere
in the middle.

Do you feel safe in a I mean, let's assume
that it was gifted to you and you could do it.
Would you feel safe in a helicopter.
Speaker 3 (20:53):
If it was a clear sky, yes, I would. If
it was foggy, then no.

They're not supposed to fly in the far well.

I mean yeah, it's like, can you remember what happened?
How could you forget? Like that stays in my brain.
So that's the only thing that like really scares me
about helicopters.

But just thinking about like, okay, Tanya, so yes, convenience
versus say, I mean, I'm sure they are quote safe,
but I see more crashes of helicopters than I do planes,
and so they do worry me. But convenience and risk
the safety or would you just take the vehicle?

So I'm like a risk averse type of girly, So
I feel like I'd probably just stay in the car
until it's been they've been doing it for a while,
and then maybe I would partake.
Speaker 2 (21:38):
For a city like this, it is a very valuable,
you know, thing to be able to have because you
can almost zip across Lax up to what the valley problem.
I mean, if you could land in the valley, how
fast would that I think.
Speaker 3 (21:50):
It'd be five minutes. You'd look a five to ten
minute ride to get around LA.
Speaker 2 (21:55):
So I mean, if you wanted to spend that kind
of money, I do believe that I would. I don't
want to say this the wrong way. I would risk
my life for saving time in life. I would risk
my life for convenience. Sure, and I still get very
nervous if I'm in one of those. Remember Chuck Street,

As time goes by, there are things that start making
me want to be a dad, because I would come up.
I love a good job. I love an early morning

You know, we're bigger, we're big on a coffee. One
of our our good partners that we worked with the
Capital One Cafe in Galtown, Los Angeles. So well, those
one of the good partners that always hand.

you doing a nice express. Honestly, I like a double

Though you know we're gonna a you about this. I

back to the mission. So tell me how you started this.
If you picture it, it's a group of dads right
with young kids and they take a run on Sunday mornings.
The kids are in the strollers and the dads are jogging.
So tell me how this started.
Speaker 6 (05:18):
So the whole thing of how wrong Dads started was,
you know, as the first time father, you know, I
was experiencing challenges navigating through fatherhood and just didn't have
that supporting resources. And my son was the inspiration buying everything.
Speaker 5 (05:34):
So I running with Dads.
Speaker 6 (05:35):
We are more just a run club. We provide a
space of mental support, emotional support, and we take a
holistic approach in supporting dads. And the run club was
one of the things that I always had in mind
that I wanted to do as far as the wellness part,
So I did say, you know, I want to get
this going. I want to get this going like soon.
(05:57):
And I remember being we got our baby, right my
mom got the stroller. She was like, I'm gonna get
you a run shuler so you can still work out
with him. Some wouldn't include that, you know, there are
a part of my life. This is a lifestyle now.
So we're going to incorporate working out together and we're
going to see what that looks like. We're also showing
what a community looks like in bonding and having fun

and coming together.

And it's a wonderful thing. It's a beautiful thing to
see all the fathers that are coming out there, that
are supporting and also are just happening. And you know,
you're coming out there, you're working out, so you know,
you kill two birds of one stone, you know. So
that's the beauty of it.

And he's saying that you reinvent the dad bod by
also spending time with your friends and your baby, which
is a great idea. So how many dads do you
run with on a Sunday morning?
Speaker 1 (06:47):
Yeah, there's a stroller. Gotta be a scene. I love it.
Speaker 6 (06:51):
So we're hap anywhere from like I've said about like
ten to fifteen dads, you know, after like Daview with
Tony just came flooding in, like so many dadstuff came
out and it was like they're like, this is such
a great community to have, not just the far just
working out, but just have a community to talk and
have that share that experience where we're all going through together.
So it's actually a great thing. I think we all
push each other, we all motivate each other to go hard,

and we also you know, hold each other accountable. So
somebody shows up like we've got to be like extra lap.
I'm like, come on now, man, my lady's got bust
so much.
Speaker 2 (07:22):
Yeah, you got you gotta. Dad's a stroller running It's
a club here, And where do you do the run?
Do you rotate where you go?

Oh, we're at al a historical park.

I mean I hadn't seen him in so long. It
just I don't know, I wasn't expecting. I just wasn't
expecting to see him. It's like a random place to
run into somebody.

Right, But I think this is something that like your
your knee jerk reaction is to think, you know what,
I loved him, I liked him, It's easy. I met
somebody else. We should try it again. But he didn't
work out for a reason. And I'm not so sure
that reason or those reasons disappear so fast.
Speaker 4 (44:53):
Yeah, but as time goes on, his life priorities might
have changed.
Speaker 1 (44:58):
And how long?

How long ago was it?

It was about a year and a half ago.

I think it's still kind of fresh.

I think so. We didn't really get into that, but

Do you guys talk for a long time? Was it easy?

It was really easy, Like we kind of just fell
back into conversation. And I don't know, I think it
just kind of threw me. I wasn't expecting to see him, Yvonne.

I'm not so sure that the things that you broke
up about would disappear. But I will say this, I'm
a big believer in fate and timing as the stars,
And if he was there, what are the odds the
same time for the same thing. Maybe you connect with him,

you have a text, conversation, coffee, a bite to eat,
and just feel it out, but don't jump into it
all of a sudden.

So you know when you're at a big festival and
you lose your friends and there's no cell service. This
happens a lot at like Stagecoach and Coachella. It's just
like massive amount of people.
Speaker 2 (47:11):
Outside friends there. I have actual friends that tell me
stories they cannot find their friends and they've slept in yards.
Speaker 3 (47:18):
I know, I've like inherited and adopted people that lost
their friends at these festivals because I'm like, well, stay
with us at least until you find your friends.
Speaker 4 (47:26):
This is why you should always put your friend's phone
numbers with a pen on your skin.
Speaker 3 (47:32):
Sure, but phones are dead things like that, no service,
et cetera.
Speaker 1 (47:37):
So this is called the Totem Compass.

It's a wearable device that helps you find your friends
without needing cell service or Wi Fi or even a
phone in general.
Speaker 1 (47:46):
It's almost like a necklace with like this.

Big charm and it's like a circle almost resembles like
a compass. But what it does is like you, yeah,
I kind of and maybe around your neck. You can
have it on your on your wrist if that's better
for you.

But every one of your friends has a different color.
So let's say like I'm green, Tanya's pink, tubs is blue.

Mark is red or whatever.

And so you look at this device when you're throwing
your loss and you're like, I want to find Tanya,
and then it'll point with a little pink arrow in
the direction like a compass would north south east west.
Tanya is in this direction, so you go towards that
area of the.

Festival, it seems a bit just just east or west.
She's just shit, I.

Mean, it is what it is.

It's not going to tell you she's in the Sahara
tant like. It's just you know, it's just she's that
way versus going the complete opposite direction to find your friends.
And there's also a vibe mode. The lights will sync
up to the music that's being played at the festival
during that given time. It's about seventy bucks, but people
are saying that this has been super helpful, especially at
big events, outdoor trips. Even imagine going hiking with somebody anything.

I don't think it's kind of a cool device.

Do you lose people hiking if you right next to them?
Speaker 5 (49:09):
I do.
Speaker 1 (49:10):
I'm talking about like a big trip, like a three
day hiking trip or.
Speaker 3 (49:13):
Something you never know where you have to go and
get wood for the dinner and come back.
Speaker 2 (49:19):
Would I gotta go out and catch a squirrel in
some woodes right off my be gone for three days.
Make sure he's got his totem compass on.
Speaker 1 (49:29):
You know, you never know.
Speaker 3 (49:31):
But apparently the more these that are in an area,
the stronger the signal gets. Whereas like when it comes
to phones, is that it's the complete opposite. The more
phones in one area, the slower the service.
Speaker 2 (49:42):
I do like the like somehow you always have something
that I haven't heard about and bring it to me,
and then I'm like, I want that my life, or
I don't want that, or I'll consider it. But it's
it's what everybody's talking about.
Speaker 1 (49:53):
It's like the things you didn't really know you need
to hear about. But there you go.
Speaker 2 (49:56):
