I had a little curry last night. I don't get
it too spicy, but I have a little curry last night,
like the green curry myself, but I crave like the.

Speaker 2 (00:23):
I like the sopping it up in the rice.

Speaker 3 (00:26):
I don't smell it.

Speaker 2 (00:27):
So you're good, guys, very confused by my.

Speaker 5 (00:31):
Report of well, because sometimes I smell your garlic, but
I don't smell Yeah, because I like seep.

Speaker 3 (00:37):
Out of your pores for day.

Speaker 2 (00:38):
I ate that much as heaps out of my porch.

Speaker 3 (00:39):
I mean, it doesn't with everybody, it's not just you.

Speaker 2 (00:42):
We've only told me this now.

Speaker 6 (00:43):
I often don't smell you, but do you sometimes? Sometimes?

Speaker 2 (00:48):
What do you want me to tell you?

Speaker 3 (00:49):
You smell like garlic, like nothing about like you like
your cologne.

Speaker 6 (00:54):
Sometimes I feel like it's more overpowering potent than than
other times.

Speaker 4 (01:01):
Yeah, so putting in a bad way, God it well, listen,
I appreciate the transparency and honesty.

Speaker 2 (01:05):
That's why we're together. Yes, that's why we're here.

Speaker 6 (01:09):
Yeah, if we're not helping each other. What are we doing?

Speaker 2 (01:14):
That's the question to ask, isn't it?

Speaker 6 (01:16):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (01:17):
Uh?

Speaker 4 (01:18):
Had I not brought that up? Would you not tell
me about this garlic things? Isn't it's new?

Speaker 5 (01:21):
It was not a bad thing, and so you but no,
and you come in telling us I had tons of
garlic last.

Speaker 2 (01:27):
Night, and then different. That's different. That's different, is different,
I tell you, versus you telling me that's true.

Speaker 3 (01:33):
That is different. I smell bad. Do you ever tell me?

Speaker 2 (01:36):
No?

Speaker 3 (01:36):
Okay, so it's the same.

Speaker 6 (01:38):
You should tell her.

Speaker 2 (01:39):
I would feel awkward and that would be rude.

Speaker 3 (01:41):
I feel the same way.

Speaker 6 (01:43):
No, that's what we're here for. One time Becka told
me my breath smelled, and I'm so happy.

Speaker 4 (01:47):
She did have a different You have a different like, uh,
bar when it comes to personal space and personal.

Speaker 3 (01:53):
Things to share, Well, get on that bar.

Speaker 2 (01:57):
We we?

Speaker 7 (01:58):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:58):
Well, I guess maybe my point is she's it'd be
more on that bar. I guess that's what I'm asking.

Speaker 4 (02:03):
Ryan Seacrest with you. Wednesday, June eleventh, it is National
Corner of the Cob Day. It's National margueritye to Pizza Day.
It's also full moon. Oh which moon strawberry moon.

Speaker 6 (02:14):
Okay, really, what does that mean?

Speaker 3 (02:17):
Is it gonna be red?

Speaker 4 (02:18):
I guess names, or it's going to have seeds on it,
but I guess it's probably the red strawberry moon named.
Oh if I just read the article further, Oh, because
it is the peak of strawberry harvesting season and northern
and the Northern hemisphere. Ah, my eyes, my eyes, it
said Northern Hemisphere, but my eyes saw North New Hampshire.

Speaker 3 (02:37):
I honestly I kind of saw that too.

Speaker 2 (02:39):
You're not allowed down is not funny.

Speaker 4 (02:41):
Your brain that goes faster than what's real. I was like, Oh,
in North New Hampshire, what a big deal. So there
you have it, sunny later highs in the upper seventies
nineties Inland.

Speaker 2 (02:52):
It is the last day of school.

Speaker 4 (02:54):
That's big news today, the last day of school celebrating
that for Lake Elson or.

Speaker 2 (02:59):
Rosemead.

Speaker 4 (03:00):
Do you remember any good advice You got to think
about this while I read the list, But remember any
good advice you got when you're graduating. Right around that time,
you're transitioning into you know the next layer of academia
or career, you know, getting down there into the real
world and the wild.

Speaker 3 (03:15):
I don't remember any advice?

Speaker 2 (03:17):
Is that the same I I?

Speaker 4 (03:20):
You know, I've been asked before, what's the greatest advice
you've ever gotten?

Speaker 2 (03:23):
And I don't. I don't gotten there.

Speaker 6 (03:25):
Oh I have something. I have something from this show.

Speaker 2 (03:28):
Okay.

Speaker 6 (03:30):
It was from Chelsea Handler and she said, don't be competitive.
There's room for everyone.

Speaker 5 (03:35):
And you said you don't want to be competitive, and
you're like, I'm having a problem being competitive.

Speaker 1 (03:39):
I know.

Speaker 6 (03:39):
But it's interesting because it's not she went it in
the workforce. Mine's happening more in like my playtime. Yeah,
my playtime.

Speaker 2 (03:50):
Keep your playtime to yourself.

Speaker 5 (03:51):
Someone who told me, okay, so I remember one too,
now you now you mention it. They were a swimmer,
and you know, if you're kind of going for a
position or you're in like a job where you're not competing,
but like there's multiple people trying to get this role
or something. She said, don't look left, just like when

(04:12):
you would be doing in a race, like as a swimmer.
Right the minute you look left, you're gonna miss that
one split second and that's gonna be between first and
second place.

Speaker 3 (04:20):
Or whatever it is.

Speaker 2 (04:20):
That's good advice.

Speaker 8 (04:21):
M H.

Speaker 4 (04:22):
I think mind was something the long lines of like
show up every day for work like it's your first day,
but with the confidence like it's your tenth year.

Speaker 2 (04:28):
It's one of those touch things.

Speaker 6 (04:29):
Oh that's good, I love That's all right?

Speaker 4 (04:32):
So where was I Sentinella Valley, last day of school,
east Side, Garvey, Glendale, Las Virgines, Lynn Woods, the last
day of school for y'all or Dondo Beach and congratulations
at Torrents as well, you did it, you got there.
Let the summer begin and good morning. It's kiss FM.

Speaker 2 (04:51):
It's just a few minutes.

Speaker 4 (04:52):
They say doing this for three seconds will make you
more alluring. I'll tell you what that is. What's three seconds?
We could all try this that's in a few right now?
Is having a squabble up?

Speaker 5 (05:01):
I am having a squabble. I'm kind of winning though.
I feel like I'm winning him over with this whole debate.

Speaker 4 (05:06):
You're competitive now we're just talking about this. In fact,
you went right to winning is the case? It shows
the competitive edge. And by the way you are competitive.
Did you ever say you're.

Speaker 3 (05:15):
Not No, no, no, I'm not. I never said I wasn't.

Speaker 2 (05:18):
Oh, well you are competitive, yes.

Speaker 3 (05:20):
To my nature to the aries and me.

Speaker 5 (05:23):
So we have we are we are blessed with two
avocado trees in our backyard.

Speaker 2 (05:28):
Okay, okay.

Speaker 3 (05:28):
One of them is giant.

Speaker 5 (05:30):
It is like thirty feet tall and umbrellas our backyard
and gives us amazing shade.

Speaker 3 (05:36):
I never want to cut that tree down.

Speaker 2 (05:38):
Okay.

Speaker 5 (05:39):
The other one is like a stumpy little tree that's
leaning to the side and serves no shade whatsoever, but
it does give us avocado where the other one does
not give us any avocados. The little one gives us
about twenty Michael County. The day he thinks he'll give
it'll give us forty this season.

Speaker 2 (05:58):
It's gonna yield forty.

Speaker 5 (05:59):
Well, I don't know, but it is in such an
awkward spot in our backyard that is, in my opinion,
more in the way.

Speaker 3 (06:07):
And I just think that we have children, we have
we're playing.

Speaker 5 (06:10):
Baseball back there, like we need this space, and if
we got rid of this avocado tree, it would just
open up that whole section of the backyard way more.

Speaker 3 (06:18):
And it's just it's gotta go.

Speaker 2 (06:20):
But why is it have to go? Why can't it
just be moved? Moved?

Speaker 3 (06:23):
It cannot be moved, you guys, this thing is like
leaning can take it down. No, you can't. It's like
it would have to go.

Speaker 2 (06:31):
No, you can't take it down.

Speaker 4 (06:32):
You can either you can either leave it or transfer
it to another hole Like.

Speaker 3 (06:36):
Nobody it can be transferred.

Speaker 5 (06:37):
It's a giant tree that would cost so much money
to do that. There's nothing.

Speaker 2 (06:42):
Well, you can't kill a tree.

Speaker 3 (06:44):
I wouldn't be killing a tree.

Speaker 4 (06:47):
Taking it down a fruit now, I should not say
you can't kill it. You're killing a fruit bearing tree.

Speaker 3 (06:52):
I'm with you.

Speaker 2 (06:55):
I think you should evaluate.

Speaker 5 (06:56):
Okay, can I tell you one more bit of information. Yes,
extra neighbor who is amazing. Him and his wife are
like an extra set of grandparents.

Speaker 3 (07:06):
At this point.

Speaker 5 (07:06):
We moved into this neighborhood. They're just like a part
of our life and we love them. He has his
own avocado tree farm in Seami Valley and he brings
us buckets of avocados during the season.

Speaker 3 (07:20):
So we are, we're fine, I bring some in here.

Speaker 2 (07:26):
Fine. I don't know that.

Speaker 4 (07:28):
I feel like you should assess the transferability of the
tree to see if it could move to another I.

Speaker 5 (07:36):
Will look into it, but what I gathered is that
it's very expensive to do that because you need like
a crane or something.

Speaker 4 (07:43):
I don't know how big it is. I'm picturing something
like like a Christmas tree.

Speaker 3 (07:46):
It's bigger. No, it's way bigger than that. But I
don't know.

Speaker 2 (07:50):
My Mashtag team Michael on this one.

Speaker 6 (07:52):
I might be has just this last weekend.

Speaker 5 (07:55):
We were chatting about it driving home and uh, and
he was kind of lean like, yeah, maybe you're right,
maybe we do need you know, the space.

Speaker 3 (08:03):
Whatever.

Speaker 4 (08:04):
So it's catching Charlie Brown's tree Christmas tree, like with
all the leaning remember Charlie Brown's Christmas tree seat every year.

Speaker 2 (08:10):
I'm sort of having this.

Speaker 3 (08:11):
It's bigger than that. This is probably at least like
ten feet tall.

Speaker 2 (08:13):
Still, let's know how it goes.

Speaker 3 (08:16):
But just stumpy and just in the way it's gotta
go it.

Speaker 4 (08:20):
Bring some avocados acado last, my mom.

Speaker 3 (08:23):
Takes a bunch. You gotta fight with her about him
one of.

Speaker 4 (08:26):
Two point seven kids. You try this next time you
meet somebody new. They say, if you do it for
three seconds, you'll be seen as more attractive and alluring.
It's very simple, and that is to pause.

Speaker 6 (08:41):
That is not what I guess.

Speaker 2 (08:44):
Pause.

Speaker 3 (08:44):
Give me an example.

Speaker 2 (08:46):
I don't have a pause button.

Speaker 3 (08:48):
Yeah, you don't like dead air.

Speaker 2 (08:50):
I'm not a big pauser.

Speaker 6 (08:52):
It's like, Sysney, how are you doing tonight? Pretend we're
on a date.

Speaker 3 (09:00):
It's like I'm delayed or something. I don't know. That's
weird to pause. I'm fine, Tanya. Now I answer exactly.

Speaker 4 (09:08):
See she waited to say exactly. Notice that well done.
Thank you played it out?

Speaker 2 (09:11):
I see.

Speaker 5 (09:12):
You know sometimes they say if you are silent, so
if you're trying to get like the truth out of somebody,
or you think they're lying or whatever, just respond.

Speaker 9 (09:19):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (09:20):
By not responding gets them nervous, and then they just
start like saying everything basically spell to.

Speaker 2 (09:26):
Stare at him and squint your eyes.

Speaker 4 (09:28):
Yeah, sure, they say when entering a room, pause when
you meet someone new, before you start speaking, pause for
three seconds. It shows confidence and builds connection. I'm gonna
try it. It can feel so long's it's like when
I surf, right, I'm up for three seconds.

Speaker 2 (09:44):
It feels like a minute.

Speaker 6 (09:46):
When I surf. He says, when's the last time you served?

Speaker 3 (09:49):
I feel like Tanya and I served sooner than you have.

Speaker 4 (09:52):
That's true, but you know when I did surf that
time twenty fifteen.

Speaker 2 (09:57):
It was up for a long time. I thought it
was like three seconds.

Speaker 3 (10:00):
That's how I felt when I was surfing recently. I
was like, oh my gosh, I could do this every day.
And then I saw the video and it was so embarrassing.

Speaker 4 (10:06):
Today's quote there is a version of yourself ten years
from now that is begging this version of yourself to
enjoy where you currently are just a little bit more.

Speaker 2 (10:16):
Paraz say, that is true.

Speaker 6 (10:19):
That is so true, so true.

Speaker 4 (10:21):
And Kendrick Lamarin sis after seven. There's a local tattoo artist.
It's carved out his own niche, and that niche is
tattooing those little la booboos. Is yeah, the booboos is
the ones you guys have attached your perss.

Speaker 2 (10:34):
Little dolls. Isn't tattooed the doll and on you. It
tattoos the doll, tattoos the dolls.

Speaker 5 (10:38):
So the doll will have tattoos on its base, tattoos.

Speaker 2 (10:42):
Exactly. We're gonna meet this tattoo oself so Rida Aura,
It's going to be on with us. But first, Sisney,
how's your headlines? FM headlines?

Speaker 5 (10:52):
Well Mayor Karen Bass announced a curfew for downtown LA
following five days of protests.

Speaker 3 (10:58):
The curfew is.

Speaker 5 (10:59):
In effect from eight pm to six am and is
expected to last a while. A fire broke out near
Burbank yesterday, All evacuation orders were lifted by six pm.
At three point four magnitude earthquake rattled the Manhattan Beach
area yesterday around twelve to fifteen pm, and Paris, Hilton

(11:20):
Well to return to the big screen to Infinite Icon,
a concert documentary about her second album on air.

Speaker 2 (11:31):
With Ryan Seacrest This Kiss, That's where we are.

Speaker 4 (11:37):
Yeah, Rita Aura very excited to see Rita. Rita Ora
is going to be on with us. She got a
new song called Heat, which is out now. She's my
New Year's Rock and Eve calls, So every New Year's
Eve for the last couple of years she has been there.

Speaker 2 (11:51):
And she's great at it.

Speaker 4 (11:52):
And also she visited recently the Seacrest studio at Orlando
Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children last month, went in
there to the studio that you guys have been to before. Yeah,
she was just inspiring all those kids and they were
of course loving seeing her. So she's a good person.
She was on toward Kylie Minogue. I missed the show,
but she was on tour with Kylie.

Speaker 3 (12:10):
She heard that show was incredible.

Speaker 4 (12:14):
And we'll talk to her in just a little bit
this morning. Now I've got Michelle on the line. Michelle
in Los Angeles. Good morning, Michelle.

Speaker 2 (12:24):
How you doing.

Speaker 10 (12:25):
I'm doing great.

Speaker 3 (12:26):
How are you?

Speaker 2 (12:27):
I'm great.

Speaker 4 (12:28):
So you're calling to tell me that you were listening
at the doctor's office and your daughter won pay your bills.

Speaker 2 (12:33):
What happened?

Speaker 10 (12:35):
Yeah, So I was having a procedure done and I
had my AirPods in and I wanted to turn it
up because you guys were going to call, you know,
pay my bills next, and I wanted to see if
it was going to be my name. And the doctor said,
do you need us fix it? I said, oh no,
I turned it up. I'm waiting for Ryan to pay
somebody's bills, and I'm hoping he calls me. And the
nurse and the doctor started laughing and they were like,

(12:57):
that's not real, and I was like, yes, it was.
They just recently called my daughter. I was listening for me,
and I'm like, they called my daughter's name and I
was freaking out calling her and she was on a
fild trip, but she got a hold of you guys,
and yeah, she won. And so a lot of people
don't think it's real, and it is definitely real.

Speaker 2 (13:17):
I love it's definitely real.

Speaker 4 (13:19):
But I love the behind the scenes of all the
action that takes place before you get to the call
within the thirty minutes.

Speaker 2 (13:25):
I mean, there's a real operation. If you will.

Speaker 10 (13:29):
Oh yeah, I felt like my daughter won the lottery.
Well I felt like it was me that won the lottery.
I was running around waiting for her to answer, and
she's on this fill trip and finally she texted me
and she's like, Okay, I'm gonna call right now. I'm like,
you have ten minutes to call them, hurry up, you know.
And it was amazing. I mean, I'm so grateful you
guys called her. But I tell her. The funny part

(13:50):
is is I was hoping you guys were calling me,
but I was like, I was so grateful that you
called her, you know.

Speaker 2 (13:57):
So yeah, well, we are.

Speaker 4 (13:59):
On the hat that you are giving credit to this
pay your Bills contest. It is legit and I'm thrilled
that you guys work together to make it happen. And
thank you for your persistence in listening and calling us
back to tell that story.

Speaker 2 (14:11):
Appreciate you. Congratulations on the winning of it.

Speaker 10 (14:13):
All right, oh thank you, thank you you guys. Have
a great day. I love listening to you.

Speaker 8 (14:18):
Guys.

Speaker 2 (14:18):
Say hi to your daughter. Hi will bye, sorry bye?
All right. Check it out Summer twenty twenty fives. Must
have accessory.

Speaker 4 (14:27):
Isn't a handbags, not a shoe, as you've discussed, it
is a leve boo boo.

Speaker 2 (14:31):
Yes, true, Now tell her what a love boo boo is. Liteny,
It's a.

Speaker 3 (14:35):
Little what do they call it? It's like a little monster, right,
and says, right, do.

Speaker 2 (14:38):
You have one on your purse?

Speaker 5 (14:39):
I do have one of my purse. Yes, it's called
the monsters.

Speaker 3 (14:43):
And uh.

Speaker 5 (14:43):
They're like these little tiny stuffies that are on a
key chain esque type, you know, hardware. And their teeth
are like a very smiley, cute little smile with all
their teeth showing. Their eyeballs are big, and they come
in different colors and when you you get one, you
don't know what color you're going to get or what
labuo bo you're gonna get before you open up the box.

Speaker 3 (15:06):
They kind of bind me of.

Speaker 6 (15:07):
Like beanie babies when beanie babies were.

Speaker 2 (15:10):
That kind of a thing.

Speaker 4 (15:10):
Yeah, so uh, I mean Rihanna has one, Duelipa has one. Uh,
Lisa from Black Pink has one.

Speaker 5 (15:16):
Beanie babies meet trolls, remember how I like, Yes, we
were so obsessed with.

Speaker 3 (15:22):
Trolls when we were little.

Speaker 4 (15:23):
But some people are going to get their labu boo tattooed.
Not not a laboo tattoo on them, They're getting the
tattoo artist to give the tattoo to the labuo boo.
That's where Hunter Chow comes in, an La based tattoo
artist who has staked his claim as the original La
Boo Boo tattooer. Congratulations, God, thank you so much. So Unter,

(15:46):
how did you come up with this idea to tattoo
the La Boo boos?

Speaker 8 (15:51):
So last year when I was in New York visiting
my boyfriend, we've already been collecting these trinkets and he
wanted me to person and Eliza for him. So he
asked me, would you beat down to tattoo one for
me and just like make it my own? And I'll
say yeah, So that's how it kind of started.

Speaker 2 (16:08):
And where do you tattoo the laboo boo like part
of the boo boo.

Speaker 8 (16:13):
So I do it on the side of the faces usually,
but it's kind of snowballs from there. I do the
whole thing. Now, I do the fingers, I do the toes,
I do the I do everything. Every vinyl or plastic part.

Speaker 4 (16:24):
That shows it looks super like cool, right, I mean
they're already cute, but this makes them look a little cooler, edgier.

Speaker 8 (16:33):
Yes, yes, it's it's super fun. There's been so many
trends about it, like even mail artists are hopping on
the trends. Even BBL surgeons are hopped them on the
trend and just giving la boo boos like little bbls
and stuff like that.

Speaker 2 (16:50):
Do you use a tattoo ink and pen or is
it something else?

Speaker 8 (16:55):
Yeah? Yeah, my machine, the same machine I tattoo humans with.

Speaker 2 (17:00):
Wow.

Speaker 4 (17:00):
Wow you did this one pop up? And how many
people showed up?

Speaker 8 (17:05):
One hundred? So that was my second pop up ever.
The first time I did it, I just kind of
showed up at the shop that I sponsored because we
also they also sell a boo boos, and so when
I was tattooing there, it was just spur in the
moment my first time the second time, which is the
only other time I've done one. It was planned and

(17:26):
I announced it on my Instagram and more than one
hundred people definitely showed up, but I think I physically
could only do one hundred.

Speaker 4 (17:33):
And So you're a self taught tattoo artist. He's doing
this on his own, and you are going to do
another pop up. I assume how do people find out
where you're going to be next.

Speaker 8 (17:42):
It's all going to be on my instagram, pried Baby
Hunter on Instagram. And Yeah, I'm definitely going to do
another one soon. I'm going to do on this Friday
the thirteens at Mad Rabbit Studios. But I'm definitely going
to be collaborating with a lot of small businesses and
just traveling and trying to build small businesses. I'm going
to try to do like a lot the farmer's markets,
you know, and stuff like that.

Speaker 4 (18:02):
Okay, Hunter Chow, it's at cry Baby Hunter. That's what
he said, Crybaby Hunter on Instagram. Well, thank you so
much for coming on and keep it up. Congratulations on
finding your niche.

Speaker 8 (18:13):
Thank you so much. I hope I tach to you
one day.

Speaker 2 (18:17):
Wow. Yes, that's a conversation. We should come in the studio.

Speaker 3 (18:22):
Let's all get matching.

Speaker 6 (18:23):
But he doesn't even know what he wants.

Speaker 8 (18:26):
You know, I will bring the table and everything I
can do a house call. I will bring everything so cool.

Speaker 4 (18:32):
I won't know what I should get if you've ever
seen me before, But I don't know whether it would
work on my body.

Speaker 3 (18:36):
What do you think would work on his body? Hunter?

Speaker 2 (18:39):
Oh?

Speaker 8 (18:41):
I mean if you want to get something cool for
it to look cool, we could figure that out. But
if you want something sentimental, maybe he get a little
microphone or something to commemorate.

Speaker 6 (18:49):
You see, you cannot walk around with the microphone to me?

Speaker 4 (18:57):
Why can't I walk around the microphone as No, Okay,
we'll give you.

Speaker 2 (19:02):
I'm with you, Hunter, it's hidden.

Speaker 8 (19:06):
Trump stamped.

Speaker 3 (19:10):
Now we're talking.

Speaker 10 (19:13):
Here.

Speaker 3 (19:14):
That is sabotage to be continued.

Speaker 4 (19:16):
We'll talk later. Goodbye, Thank you, Hunter? Job is that
a bad place?

Speaker 3 (19:21):
You don't want that for a guy, I mean or
a girl at this point.

Speaker 6 (19:23):
No, you definitely need to on your arm something like
here right, Yes, like the inner what is this is
your inner bicep?

Speaker 3 (19:30):
Yes, it's all right there gets kind of soft.

Speaker 6 (19:35):
Yes, your arms are.

Speaker 3 (19:36):
Like okay, not like that, like smooth.

Speaker 6 (19:40):
She didn't mean yours arms or so she said soft, okay, smooth,
that's what I mean.

Speaker 4 (19:46):
A microphone coming back with Disneyland tickets and Rita Aura
is joining us here. It is definitely flirty. It is
it is Rita Aura. The new song Heat is out.
Now are you flirtatious? Is the flirtatious reader or joining us?
Or is that just you and the character of the song?

Speaker 9 (20:04):
Hi, Ian, it's definitely flirtatious.

Speaker 4 (20:06):
Reater on yeah, where she is Reta Aura? I mean
it Actually, it's a super fun track. I'm sure to
have put together to record it and then let out now.

Speaker 7 (20:17):
Yeah, Well, thank you for having me and playing it.
First of all, I love you, and I really appreciate
this support. I just really wanted to have fun this summer.
I felt as if it was time to just get
back into my old sort of like swag of just
being free and feeling open. And I just always remembered
that feeling of I guess I've entered this summer chat,
let's start there, because there's been a lot of summer

(20:39):
drops I can see already happening, so it's just time
to feel good this summer. I feel like everybody needs it.

Speaker 4 (20:45):
You know, Yeah, definitely, you can't avoid I don't want
to use the double negative, but you can't not feel
good after sort of listening to that song and turning
it up and splashing at it, you know.

Speaker 9 (20:54):
Well, I was.

Speaker 7 (20:55):
I wrote it with choice of and it felt as if,
I don't know, we both were in this state of
just really celebrating out my womanhood and sweat and summer
and feeling just like your everything's right in your face.
And I think, more than ever, music is just so
intimate now, and so I really wanted to put that
out with my new record.

Speaker 4 (21:15):
I get to work with I work with such powerful people,
powerful women specifically, right. I mean, I've got Tanya and
Sistani and Vanna on Wheal Fortune and Rita on New
Year's Rocketing. Look at the wisdom I can do just
by all of the right, by all of this brain
power that's around me every day at work. And we've
been doing New Year's Eve together for a couple of years.

(21:35):
And a matter of fact, someone called in the other
day Rita just and asked him. It was asking me, like, hey, Ryan,
I watch you on New Year's Eve. But I really
want to know about Rita.

Speaker 2 (21:42):
Is she going to be doing New Year's Eve for
a long time too?

Speaker 4 (21:45):
And I didn't give any answer because I don't know
what's happening for sure, for sure officially yet.

Speaker 2 (21:50):
But I mean, you know what I want, but I
don't know if it's officially yet.

Speaker 9 (21:54):
Do you know what well?

Speaker 7 (21:54):
You know what I want. I think that I've made
it very clear. Working with you is dream. You have
become a great friend of mine and I love you,
and I feel as if I can't really.

Speaker 9 (22:03):
Imagine a New Year without you. It feels weird.

Speaker 2 (22:05):
Now, that's so sweet. I'm going to call Matthew back
and tell them I think it's on for New Years.

Speaker 4 (22:12):
But your album, this is this track that we're talking about,
Heat is part of an album that's coming right.

Speaker 9 (22:19):
Yeah. I'm actually so excited.

Speaker 7 (22:21):
This is my fourth album release, but it's the first
time I'm able to really say I can come to
America and do a tour. Funnily enough, I've never actually
toured the States, which is so insane. I just briefly
did an North American tour with Kylie Minogue where I
went to all these places I've never performed in Seattle,
and I just can't believe I have never done live
shows there. So this time around, it's all about live

(22:42):
music and concerts and really feeling the audience and being
physically there. So yes, an album comes out this year
and the title hasn't been released yet, but once I
get that out, I think everyone's going to.

Speaker 9 (22:54):
Understand like, oh, okay, well this is the world.

Speaker 7 (22:55):
Because I just wanted to bring a whole new world
and language to my fans, especially in places in America
where I haven't really touched yet.

Speaker 9 (23:03):
So I'm very excited.

Speaker 2 (23:05):
That's a hard thing to do. I mean, I think
about what we do.

Speaker 4 (23:07):
We kind of bring this same thing, like consistencies, what
we're supposed to do, right, It's like we do the
same thing every day, Whereas when you're an artist, you
really want to paradigm shift an entire world or universe, right, I.

Speaker 7 (23:20):
Think I think Matt now more than ever, it's all
about how you present a project to the public. You know,
It's like, what is the language you want to say
to your fans, what is the energy? What character you
You know, it is a three sixty thing now more
than ever, with all the platforms that we have and
people really want to feel like they get you and
they understand you, and you know, that's just the time

(23:40):
that we live in. So it's important to have a
story with what you're doing. And I really believe in
the idea of being honest and having this like intimacy
with the crowd and being direct, and that's all you
can do, you know.

Speaker 4 (23:55):
Rita or with us, who's I mean, I know you
guys have we talked about before.

Speaker 2 (23:59):
But you can do every I mean, I've seen you're
on TV.

Speaker 4 (24:02):
You're shooting something in some craziness that you showed me
the other time we were together. You're touring soon, you're recording.
You're great at live television. I mean, it's a real
I would say, a competent I think, to be able
to do everything at once, because that's the hard part,
isn't it to do all of it at the same time?

Speaker 7 (24:22):
Oh my goodness. I mean, you would know this better
than everybody. It says, if like you know, you do
sacrifice a lot. I love working. I love being a
hard worker. I love connecting with people doing TV. Mastinger,
especially in the States, it's so much fun. It's like
it doesn't feel like work. I get to meet amazing
musicians and put out music and then tour and then
do a movie. I've always just been inspired by women

(24:43):
that have multiple different plates that they juggle, my mum
being one, Jennifer Lopez, Lady Gargo. You know, these women
stand the test of time, and it's so cool to
see the shift as well in pop stars. You know,
you've got older pop stars, like you know, an age
group that you wouldn't necessarily have considered before, and it
doesn't matter how old you are anymore. And it feels
so exciting that music and people can stand in so

(25:06):
many different realms nowadays, and I love just watching it
and being a part of it in this timeframe.

Speaker 2 (25:11):
What does your mom do? What place did she spin?

Speaker 1 (25:15):
Oh?

Speaker 9 (25:16):
My mom's a psychiatrist and a mother.

Speaker 4 (25:18):
I feel like that, by the way, that's enough to
have a mom. A's a psychiatrist.

Speaker 2 (25:23):
Oh. I know, if that's a blessing or a curse.

Speaker 7 (25:27):
It definitely is a blessing in her mind because she
loves to help people. But I don't know how she
gets all of that off when she comes home, and like,
after all those conversations, it just feels so like piled
and piled on, and then she's.

Speaker 9 (25:38):
Got us as kids. I mean, I'm definitely a technical
seeker child.

Speaker 11 (25:42):
But you can always go to her for advice. I'm
assuming Yeah, she definitely does that. She's so good at compartmentalizing,
you know. I feel like that's like a tool we
can all use somehow.

Speaker 7 (25:54):
But I have so much respect for mothers, especially now
being a step by myself and seeing how they like,
how you handle kids.

Speaker 9 (26:01):
It's just it's real respect to parents, honestly.

Speaker 2 (26:06):
Shout out.

Speaker 4 (26:07):
Shout out to parents, Sisty Donnie, thank you so much
for coming. Congratulations on everything, and I do adore you
read I'm so happy for all the success you're having
out before to seeing you guys again on New Year's I.

Speaker 9 (26:19):
Know, I can't wait.

Speaker 7 (26:19):
I love you, thank you for playing the record and
supporting it, and I appreciate you all so much and
I can't wait to see you soon.

Speaker 9 (26:24):
Ryan.

Speaker 2 (26:25):
Okay, ready to take a care Bye?

Speaker 9 (26:28):
What big kiss?

Speaker 2 (26:32):
This is?

Speaker 6 (26:32):
Kiss?

Speaker 2 (26:32):
Are we playing this game?

Speaker 4 (26:33):
Tanya was talking about fish Bowl this hour is Yeah,
apparently it's.

Speaker 3 (26:37):
Being prepared as we speak, so we'll see.

Speaker 2 (26:40):
This is just a quick background. They'll get into it.

Speaker 4 (26:43):
Tanya's not liking herself becoming so competitive playing games at
home sides of her she's not comfortable with. So I
asked what game? She said, what's like fishball? What's fishball like charades?
Is it what we'll see? I've never played it before, Sidney,
have you ever played it?

Speaker 2 (26:56):
No?

Speaker 5 (26:56):
No, But if she's saying, it's like charades, and I
think I'm gonna not be great at it.

Speaker 4 (27:00):
I'm not great at that either. Anybody in the back
room played fishbowl, Bonzie, anybody Ruby, No, nobody's played fishball.

Speaker 2 (27:06):
I've played fish bowl.

Speaker 3 (27:07):
It's kind of like, uh, like heads up if you
have ever played that?

Speaker 5 (27:11):
App Yeah, it's panic.

Speaker 2 (27:16):
Yeah, it's like that both paper.

Speaker 3 (27:17):
I don't like it was like a timer involved.

Speaker 2 (27:19):
I find that to be kind of fun. It's so fun.

Speaker 3 (27:23):
You're probably gonna be good. Ryan, you always say you're bad.

Speaker 2 (27:25):
I'm not. No, No, I'm not good at this.

Speaker 4 (27:26):
I told you we had to do this on Live
with Kelly and Ryan actual charades, and I was, I was,
I was, I was afraid.

Speaker 2 (27:32):
I was fearful. I know that's coming.

Speaker 3 (27:35):
I don't like being fearful in a game.

Speaker 4 (27:36):
Like for example, I would never be a contestant on
the wheel of fortune because I'd be so panicked. I'll
host all day, but I would never want to be
a contestant. I would I would stress.

Speaker 3 (27:46):
I would blow it, and then I would think about
it for years and years.

Speaker 9 (27:49):
That would.

Speaker 4 (27:51):
I just not I'm so impressed with the contestants. It
can come in and be calm on TV and do
it so well. All right, uh, let's get into this.
It's gonna be a hot summer. We know that, like
a really hot summer. Yes, and there are some hosting
trends that will cool you off this summer. Since you've
got a list of what people are talking about.

Speaker 3 (28:07):
Yes, these are good for this summer.

Speaker 5 (28:09):
And I'm sure you've seen this one all over your
TikTok Jalapenno Savian Blanc. Okay, so I've tried this a
few times now. It does not disappoint and before I
know it like a.

Speaker 6 (28:22):
Spicy mar and I but I know that like some.

Speaker 5 (28:24):
People are like, oh, it's so disrespectful to the wine.

Speaker 2 (28:28):
Does wine have feelings?

Speaker 5 (28:30):
Well, you know what I mean, because it's like, oh,
you're ruining the flavor of the grape, you know, but
technically it's a frozen jalapeno slice and you PLoP it
in your wine, a white wine, and it tastes delicious.

Speaker 3 (28:43):
It just gives it a little bit of a spice.
I like to add ice cubes.

Speaker 5 (28:47):
Into mine because after like a few minutes, it's not
frozen anymore and it's very refreshing. It's been a big
hit with like all my mom friends, Like we did
this Memorial Day weekend and it was like we went
through bottles.

Speaker 3 (29:00):
Because everyone's like, I mean, it's delicious.

Speaker 6 (29:03):
The Hall of Pani is being frozen just like raw,
and it was still good.

Speaker 4 (29:07):
No, I think frozen makes it a little I like
the frozen versus the raw. I think they're all like
A two spicy, too fast for me, So that's what
I like. This second one here you go, okay.

Speaker 5 (29:14):
So this one I have not tried. It's called prosecco popsicles,
so cute. You pick your favorite, but let that and
you pop it into your prosecco drink and it apparently
it's supposed to be really refreshing and you can do
different flavors.

Speaker 2 (29:28):
Is sparkling wine. It's like a it's a champagnee vibe
and like.

Speaker 5 (29:31):
What I saw online was like, literally, it's like the popsicle,
just like upside down in the glass.

Speaker 2 (29:37):
It's so cute that looks.

Speaker 4 (29:39):
That actually looks really fun and it reminds me of childhood,
but it's with an ilcohol beverage.

Speaker 5 (29:43):
This next one is given me like Megan markle Vibes
because I think I saw this on her show. It's
garden ice cubes. So you freeze some edible flowers into
ice trays and then you have all these adorable floral
ice cubes that you can put into your friend's drinks
when they come over to your house and so also
take to you guys kind of just like you know, gives.

Speaker 4 (30:05):
It a little bit of a It is pretty, but
I don't know that I would take the time to
do that with my ice. Now, these are the top
keep yourself cool trends that are cool apparently for summer.

Speaker 2 (30:14):
What's the last one you got?

Speaker 5 (30:15):
This one is I guess it doesn't have to be cold,
but it's a cake grazing board. So just like any
other board display that you would have out on the
table for people to eat, this one is just little
small bites of different desserts. So it's not just like
you committing to one dessert for everyone. It slices of
like a bunch of different cakes and little tiny things

(30:35):
that everyone can just kind of like graze and grab.

Speaker 2 (30:37):
And that one looks great.

Speaker 1 (30:39):
I know.

Speaker 4 (30:39):
I like that idea. This is I mean, this is
all happy hour talking. You know what they say right
about happy hour?

Speaker 3 (30:45):
What do they say?

Speaker 2 (30:46):
It's always a few minutes after eight somewhere.

Speaker 3 (30:49):
Eat about it's bedtime.

Speaker 2 (30:56):
No, I'm singing right now, it's left eight.

Speaker 3 (30:57):
Oh, I see what you're saying.

Speaker 5 (30:58):
Okay, yeah, but I do at least like one of
these to like your get together. It just kind of
feels like you put a little bit more extra effort
and it makes your guests feel special.

Speaker 2 (31:07):
Yeah, I like it. Well done.

Speaker 4 (31:09):
Okay, let's see what ends up being the biggest trend
at the end of summer. Now, all right, So Tanya
came to us and said, guys, look, I am generally
not a competitive person, but I am feeling competitive playing
games at home on game night. What are you playing?
She said, this game fish Bowl? Well, what's the problem,
she said, Well, I just don't write. You don't like
yourself when you get too competitive, you get I don't

(31:30):
do it.

Speaker 6 (31:31):
It doesn't feel but I don't have control over it,
so well.

Speaker 3 (31:37):
Yes you do.

Speaker 7 (31:37):
I do.

Speaker 4 (31:40):
And so we are taking our own risks in bringing
out the competitive side. Possibly hear sistany by playing an example.

Speaker 3 (31:45):
Okay, so yeah, don't hold back.

Speaker 2 (31:47):
Tanya, Yeah, like you would normally play it exactly.

Speaker 3 (31:49):
I want to see just how bad it is.

Speaker 4 (31:51):
Don't overthink but blank okay, okay, all right, now how
does it work?

Speaker 6 (31:56):
So basically everybody puts their clues into the fish bowl,
and we're just going to play the first round of
fish bowl, which is you pick out the word and
you can describe the word without using the word. So
I'm going to pick out a word. We're basically all
playing for ourselves. Okay, so you just want to try
and guess the words.

Speaker 4 (32:13):
Okay, but you're going to pull the words? Yeah, okay, sorry,
Here we go.

Speaker 2 (32:16):
Okay, you're ready, feel the pressure already, contestant. Here we go.

Speaker 6 (32:20):
Okay. So this is something that you get in the
early hours of the day and it smells coffee no no, no,
uh cereal. It comes out of your mouth and washing stinky.

Speaker 2 (32:40):
Ryan's on the right path.

Speaker 6 (32:44):
Early time of the day is.

Speaker 3 (32:46):
What coffee morning breath yes, okay.

Speaker 6 (32:50):
This comes in your Amazon packages to keep your packages
safe bubble wrap.

Speaker 2 (32:54):
Yes, don't scream at us.

Speaker 6 (32:58):
Sorry, sorry, this is what happens. This is what people
use their mouth tap for to stop them from doing this.

Speaker 2 (33:04):
It's very loud.

Speaker 12 (33:07):
Uh.

Speaker 6 (33:08):
You hit this at parties and it candy falls out
of it. Yes, okay, Uh, it's a different word.

Speaker 3 (33:15):
A lot of cars on the road.

Speaker 6 (33:18):
It's okay, I guess password?

Speaker 2 (33:25):
Is it not password? The game that's been played for We.

Speaker 5 (33:27):
Are not just saying one clue. She's given us a
whole Jesus.

Speaker 4 (33:30):
There's the problem. We're trying to see Tanya's competitive side.
She just got to see us not be good to
answering questions.

Speaker 3 (33:36):
Well, here we got all change and I'm not going
to be great at this.

Speaker 6 (33:39):
I got four?

Speaker 2 (33:40):
What do you mean you got four?

Speaker 6 (33:41):
You guys answered four correctly, so I get four.

Speaker 3 (33:44):
So it's not about me.

Speaker 2 (33:45):
People trying to be rhy just think you have any
idea how to follow along. I actually do not.

Speaker 3 (33:51):
Okay, we're going you go on this at the gym
to No.

Speaker 5 (33:56):
Yes, you can go to Korea town and do this.

Speaker 3 (34:05):
Stop you have this. If you have a swimming pool,
you also have a.

Speaker 2 (34:11):
Diving board.

Speaker 5 (34:15):
Ride.

Speaker 3 (34:16):
Okay. Oh, when you get into this this car, if.

Speaker 5 (34:22):
You don't want to take the stairs, you take this
and sometimes there's something plain inside.

Speaker 2 (34:29):
I got that.

Speaker 3 (34:30):
I got that they these streets so that you slow down.

Speaker 4 (34:34):
Stop, thank you, speed hompspeed houmps pump.

Speaker 3 (34:40):
Okay.

Speaker 9 (34:41):
Oh.

Speaker 3 (34:41):
When you go to the beach and you have kids,
they want to build as I got that.

Speaker 5 (34:47):
Women put this on to make your eyelashes look more full.

Speaker 4 (34:50):
Well I should not have gotten that.

Speaker 9 (34:53):
Okay.

Speaker 12 (34:54):
When you go and get your hair done, hair, dryer, hair, Okay,
let's just see based on your count here and Tanya's count,
what happens Sidney, you obviously won.

Speaker 3 (35:04):
I got seven.

Speaker 4 (35:05):
Okay, So now here's what we're trying to get to.
How do you feel, Tanya?

Speaker 9 (35:10):
Not good?

Speaker 2 (35:11):
But how do you feel about sicity now differently than
it work?

Speaker 3 (35:14):
No?

Speaker 9 (35:15):
No, no no no.

Speaker 6 (35:15):
I don't feel I'm not harboring like anger towards her.
I could have done better. So I'd like to play again.

Speaker 4 (35:23):
Here comes the edge. Good job, though, Sisiny All right, Hey,
that's fun.

Speaker 6 (35:29):
It's a fun game to play at parties.

Speaker 5 (35:31):
That is fun.

Speaker 2 (35:32):
Understand it now? Which is good? Okay?

Speaker 4 (35:34):
Let's actually play a game that we know and is
a little calmer. It's called match game, and you listening
will play for Disneyland tickets.

Speaker 2 (35:40):
Here at Kiss now it is Kiss.

Speaker 4 (35:44):
We are gonna give away a four pack to Disneyland
right now, five to seven. I need two contestants for
match game, and let's get into it. Kathy here in
seem Valley, Kathy, good morning.

Speaker 2 (35:55):
How are you? Good morning?

Speaker 5 (35:58):
Ryan, Tanya?

Speaker 8 (36:00):
I'm great?

Speaker 2 (36:01):
What's like the energy? I got to hold on? Hold on?
Let me get Marjorie in Woodland Hills.

Speaker 3 (36:07):
I want to welcome Amy.

Speaker 8 (36:08):
Welcome Amy.

Speaker 2 (36:09):
Oh yes, Amy. A couple of days on the show,
and you already got fans.

Speaker 10 (36:17):
Family, family.

Speaker 2 (36:19):
That's right. She's our summer intern or our only intern.

Speaker 4 (36:25):
All right, Kathy, Marjorie, you guys are playing for Disneyland tickets.
It is match game. Here's how it's gonna work. I'll
give you a phrase with a blanket. Whoever gets the
most matches with our panel, it's going to Disneyland.

Speaker 2 (36:34):
We'll go Kathy, then Marjorie.

Speaker 4 (36:36):
Okay, all right, the first one, Kathy, You're up first,
So yours is blank dream. Don't say anything out loud,
just think about it blank dream is blank dream.

Speaker 8 (36:49):
Blank dream dream.

Speaker 2 (36:54):
Okay, what'd you say? Happy dream? All right? Let's see Sisney.

Speaker 3 (36:59):
What you say bad dream?

Speaker 2 (37:01):
Bad dream? Tanya?

Speaker 6 (37:03):
I said daydream, Ruby happy?

Speaker 4 (37:05):
I said sweet dream comes down to tubs.

Speaker 2 (37:08):
Did you say happy?

Speaker 1 (37:09):
Bad? Bad?

Speaker 2 (37:11):
All right? Well, Kathy, I am sorry about.

Speaker 8 (37:14):
That was a good one. That was a good one.

Speaker 4 (37:16):
Well yeah, okay, but some people aren't sleeping well from
based on that panel.

Speaker 2 (37:20):
Okay, Marjorie, your kids yours is baby.

Speaker 4 (37:24):
Blank, baby blank, Marjorie, that's yours baby blank. All right,
see what the panel is a ready and Margorie, what'd

Speaker 3 (37:47):
All right, Ruby, I said baby boy.

Speaker 4 (37:52):
It comes down to our engineer, Jeff Tubbs tubs for
the match and the win.

Speaker 2 (37:57):
Did you say baby name? I said baby boom?

Speaker 4 (38:03):
All right, Kathy, Marjorie, I feel a strange connection here,
and I feel as my.

Speaker 3 (38:10):
Sister same and I text her this morning, I said,
I'm trying to win Disneyland today.

Speaker 4 (38:18):
I don't want anybody to have to try any longer.
I am going to give you both four packs to Disneyland.

Speaker 2 (38:23):
Listening to.

Speaker 6 (38:26):

Speaker 2 (38:27):
Thank you, my family, Thank you. It is our pleasure
to do it.

Speaker 2 (38:44):
Okay, thank you so much. Ryan, my pleasure. We love
doing it all.

Speaker 4 (38:50):
Right now, speaking of giving away things, we are going
to give away a cruise next on the Virgin the
ship that Virgin is bringing to Long Beach called Brilliant. Lady,
bring it to Long Beach in April. You win a
cruise coming.

Speaker 1 (39:02):
Up Fun Air with a Ryan Seacrest.

Speaker 4 (39:07):
Ryan Seacrest, and this is a very exciting couple of moments.

Speaker 2 (39:11):
Here.

Speaker 4 (39:12):
We are going to give away a cruise aboard one
of the most beautiful things that's ever been in the ocean.
This gentleman might say, the most beautiful thing that's ever
set sail on the sea, and that is Sir Richard
Branson from Virgin Voyages. There's a brand new ship that's
coming to the port right here in Long Beach. We
will get into that, but it's great to have you.
Thanks for coming in it's always good to talk to you.

Speaker 13 (39:33):
Thank you.

Speaker 2 (39:34):
So A couple of.

Speaker 4 (39:35):
Quick things that are on my mind when I think
about you, and we don't get a chance to talk often,
so I've jotted them all down here on my note sheet.
When you sleep at night, what are your dreams like?

Speaker 13 (39:47):
I sleep pretty well. I have thoughts to dream about.
I've been fortunate that I've had a very very full life,
and so sometimes i dream I'm in space and floating around,
and sometimes i dream I'm back on Earth and and

(40:09):
uh with with the grandkids, and and and and the
kids and and so anyway, pretty pretty happy dreams.

Speaker 4 (40:17):
By having well, I think, what's interesting that you have
so many different things going on, so many exciting things,
a lot of I mean tens and tons of businesses
around the world.

Speaker 2 (40:25):
You can still fall asleep.

Speaker 4 (40:27):
I find myself with far less and I still can't
fall asleep so easily, but I will I will note that.

Speaker 13 (40:32):
Well, I mean, I try tricks.

Speaker 2 (40:35):
Like all of us. As you get older, you do
you do sleep less well.

Speaker 13 (40:39):
And so you know, you find things like red wine
maybe best not the best, not to have in the evenings,
and and not to you know, go to sleep on
a full stomach and anyway, so all the you know,
I think all of us need to work out what
works for us and and what doesn't.

Speaker 4 (40:57):
And and do you have a specific skill that allows
you to keep up with everything to compartmentalize. I'm just
looking at you know, all the many things that you've
done and do simultaneously, and frankly, it's impressive to to
see and to see the longevity of all these things.

Speaker 2 (41:12):
What is that skill set that you.

Speaker 4 (41:13):
Have that maybe we could share and people listening could
use to balance life and career.

Speaker 13 (41:19):
So I'm fortunate that I've managed to surround myself with
great people over the years and keep them with virgins.
And so if I'm launching a new company, like say
you cruise cruise company, Virgin Voyages, I can draw on
people from you know, Virgin Atlantic, and from Virgin Mobile
and from Virgin you know other other companies. And so,

(41:44):
you know, what I've learned in life is to be
a good delegator, not try to do it all oneself.
To be a good listener or you know, always to
ask other people and and write down their thoughts and
then act on them, not try to, you know, impose
my ideas on everything because I mean, I know what

(42:04):
I think, I want to learn from other people and
all that has been very, very valuable.

Speaker 2 (42:10):
And just to frame this up, he talks about the
Virgin companies.

Speaker 4 (42:13):
This started way back when service of Brandson here launched
Virgin in nineteen seventy. Is a male order record business.
This was the music business mail order back in the day.
And did you have visions of extending the brand to
do so many different things when you started?

Speaker 13 (42:29):
No, I mean I actually left school at fifteen to
start a magazine to campaign against the Vietnamese War, and
National Student Magazine, and you know, like a lot of wars,
it was an unjust war, and you know, we were
determined to try to, you know, create a student movement

(42:49):
around the world to draw it to a close. You know,
it was not interested in becoming an entrepreneur or a businessman.
I just love love creating things. And if more money
comes in at the end of the year then goes out,
then those things survive and grow. And if I get
bumped off a plane, which I once did trying to
get to the Virgin Islands, and.

Speaker 4 (43:11):
You know it pumped off a plane like you lost
your seat or you pushed out of the side of
the plane.

Speaker 13 (43:15):
The pilot came on the on the plane or we'd
all boarded, and you said, the pars at b say,
we've only got fifty percent load factor. You're all going
to have to come back in the morning. So so
I got off the plane and I said to the
fifty percent of people hang about at the airport a second,
let me go back to the back of the airport.
And I went to the back of the airport. I

(43:35):
was twenty eight years old. I had a credit card.
I wasn't sure if it would bounce, but I heard
a plane went back, wrote as a joke, Virgin Airlines,
one way to the Virgin Islands. Went amongst all these people,
thirty nine dollars sold, sold out my first plane.

Speaker 2 (43:50):
And wow, what.

Speaker 4 (43:52):
I mean that is risk seeking? Well, you're not afraid
of risk. I've seen the adventures you've taken.

Speaker 13 (43:57):
And then the next day and rang bowing and asked
if they had any second hand seven four sevens for sale, and.

Speaker 2 (44:03):
They said that they would sell.

Speaker 13 (44:06):
Us one as long as we changed the name from Virgin,
because nobody would go the whole way on a company
called Virgin, or think they would.

Speaker 2 (44:15):
Go the whole way. Let's come back. Sir Richard Branson
is here.

Speaker 4 (44:21):
We are going to talk about the reason he is
here in southern California, and that is this unbelievable new
cruise ship going to be based here in Long Beach.

Speaker 2 (44:28):
We have a cruise for you to win.

Speaker 4 (44:30):
It's going to go up and down California as well Alaska.
It'll be down in Mexico too. We'll be back for
you to win that trip. On Brilliant Lady. This is
the new debut A Brilliant Lady we're talking about next
to Kiss FM.

Speaker 2 (44:41):
Hankton. It's a Gore Hills Joji Kats this morning on Kiss.
All right, let's get to the real reason.

Speaker 4 (44:46):
What if people call you that have spoken to you
a couple of times, they'll say Sir Richard Branson every time?

Speaker 2 (44:51):
Do they just rich.

Speaker 13 (44:54):
The anytime anyone's called me Sir Richard. I heard it
walking down the street in la and I thought there
must be a shakespeare a Shakespearean play taking place. I looked,
I looked around quickly, but it was there of it? Then, yeah,
Richard is good?

Speaker 2 (45:09):
All right?

Speaker 4 (45:10):
So Richard is debuting with a Virgin Voyages. This new
cruise ship called the Brilliant Lady, which it looks unbelive.
I don't know how these things flow. It looks insane.
It's modern, it's contemporary, it's brand new. It's going to
be based in Long Beach. Tell us what you're most
proud about and why this is such an exciting debut,
and about this ship a little bit.

Speaker 9 (45:32):
So.

Speaker 13 (45:32):
Look, I have never been on a cruise ships and
had no real interest in going on cruise ships, and
then started asking myself the question, you know, why have
I never been on cruise ships? And I sat down
with friends and we drew a list of all the
reasons why we didn't like the idea of cruise ships,
like boufets and screaming kids and a whole long line

(45:56):
of things.

Speaker 9 (45:57):
And then we.

Speaker 13 (45:57):
Decided, let's try to create our own own cruise line.
And ten years ago we started building four ships and
the team have got it absolutely right. I mean, it's
just a fun, very virgin very you know, it's just
a bang on brand. And I've had my birthdays, my

(46:17):
son's having his birthdays on it, and it's got everything
on it, and it's running tracks and pick up ball
court and the best entertainment. I mean Rolling Stones just
voted it today the best, you know, the best place
for music lovers and fantastic you know dancing, and so
the Latestship Brilliant Lady is going to actually come through

(46:39):
the Panama Canal and it's going to stay on the
West Coast, going you know, from you know, to Los
Angeles to San Francisco to Alaska to Canada and and
I think people would be in for a real treat.
And a lot of people from l A go on
virgin from Miami or from go to the Mediterranean, but

(47:00):
now they won't have to travel so far to get
to do.

Speaker 4 (47:04):
All of that, right while you're going to these cool
destinations that I've not been to Alaska myself and I
live here right so I think that that's that's one
of the great things. And you're gonna want to see
this and you will see it when it's in Long Beach.
I mean, it's such an unbelievable structure right to look,
it's like a massive hotel that's that's new and sitting
on the water. Just quickly before we give away a
trip on Brilliant Lady, why did you name it?

Speaker 2 (47:27):
Brilliant Lady? Because it's brilliant.

Speaker 3 (47:31):
She's a lady.

Speaker 13 (47:33):
Marketing people will give you a lot more, a lot more.

Speaker 4 (47:36):
Why are ships ladies? Why are ships ladies?

Speaker 2 (47:39):
Because there's a sex and this.

Speaker 4 (47:41):
Yeah, they're always right like she, They're always she's.

Speaker 13 (47:46):
Can I can? I can? I just try and try
to avoid politics, But can I just say, since I'm
in La, how sad I am to see not just
what's happening in La, but what's happening around America at
the moment. I was had a friend who has a
restaurant and the other day ice people broke into it
and they handcuffed.

Speaker 2 (48:07):
All the guests and all the.

Speaker 13 (48:09):
Staff and set off smoke bombs and not grenades literally,
but they were certainly making a lot of noise and
created an absolute misery on a very happy, happy evening.
And I think America needs to think about itself as
it was the Land of the Free, it was a
place of kindness and humanity. It needs to get back

(48:33):
to being a place of kindness and humanity.

Speaker 4 (48:37):
Very well, said Sir Richard Branson. With us this morning,
let's get a quick break. We're coming back here.

Speaker 2 (48:44):
It's kids in the morning. Seacrest, Sissiny Tanya with you.

Speaker 4 (48:47):
Sir Richard Branson is here from all of the Virgin
companies and brands and going into space and flying in
the air and starting with the record label Virgin Companies are.
So they're tens and tens of them around the world.
One of them is Virgin Voyages, which is the cruise
ship line. And you have you've come here in the
studio for an important reason. It's the launch of this

(49:09):
most beautiful new cruise ship called Brilliant Lady that is
going to be here based in southern California. And I
think together we have a chance for caller one oh
two to win a trip on this beautiful new ship.

Speaker 13 (49:24):
I think we've had three three cabins.

Speaker 4 (49:26):
So your listeners, you do yeah, three.

Speaker 13 (49:31):
Right now, Not just one trip the La these three
voyages on the La Mermaid in April of twenty twenty six.

Speaker 4 (49:41):
Okay, perfect, all right, Well you heard the numbers from
the guy that brought the ship over here, or is
bringing the ship over here. So this looks like a
great trip for anybody that is going to go. And
it'll be in April twenty twenty six till everything gets
set up there. But Sir Richard brads, and thank if
for coming in and sharing that with us. It's called
one O two, one oh three, and one oh four.

Speaker 2 (49:59):
We'll take thanks.

Speaker 13 (50:00):
