Speaker 1 (00:00):
From Hollywood.

Speaker 2 (00:01):
See you. Thank you for listening to us air on
Air with a Ryan Seacrest.

Speaker 3 (00:09):
Thanks for being with us this morning on Kiss FM
on a Friday. So, Georgie, you know my dog, Georgia
actually has learned how to speak to me without speaking
to me. Yeah, it's it's something that happens over time.
So I thought she was giving me the side eye
last night. Turns out she was trying to show me
her ear and inside her ear. I think she's got

(00:32):
a little inside the ear flap. Have you had that happen.

Speaker 2 (00:35):
Yeah, that happened to Diego. He got a really bad
ear infection. And you need to get you need to
take them to that they give him medication, and then
I believe there was something else you gotta do at home.

Speaker 1 (00:46):
It looks like an infection. It's like I can feel it. Yeah,
you should go. And it probably really hurts her. Well.

Speaker 3 (00:52):
I can tell she was bothered by it, and she
was up last night. She cpt, you know, and you
know when your dog there's a with their head and
their body and they just they shake it off. Yeah,
she just kept trying to shake it off, to shake
it off last night.

Speaker 1 (01:04):
And I couldn't forget. But it's just fascinating.

Speaker 3 (01:05):
How when you get to that relationship with your pet,
with your animal, they can really tell you what they're
thinking in some way.

Speaker 4 (01:14):
And Georgia doesn't sleep in the bed with you, right,
she sleeps on the next to you.

Speaker 1 (01:17):
You know, it's it's occasional.

Speaker 3 (01:20):
She will sometimes sleep in the bed with me, and
I can't figure out what triggers that. Or other times
I'll say, Georgia, let's go night, and then she'll go
down into her bed on the floor, which is fine too,
but she picks and chooses when she wants to stay there,
what she wants to spend.

Speaker 1 (01:35):
The night with me. I like that independent woman.

Speaker 3 (01:40):
So anyway, before this weekend gets I gotta get to
the vet later today. But today's National Beach Day, just
something to celebrate. If she can get to the beach, hey,
well be the weekend. We will be there tonight. We'll
tell you about that. If you want to be in
Santa Monica. Will take exactly what we're doing myself. Tanya
in Siciny Out Live seven o'clock tonight at the Santa
Monica Pier. Sunny Sky Today. Highs in the low eighties

(02:03):
and nineties Inland. Let's see Disneyland tickets. Tony, You've got
something you need if you want to be able to
sleep on a plane.

Speaker 2 (02:12):
Yes, yes, that is if you are playing Etonin.

Speaker 4 (02:19):
No, no, it's not Malowtnin. If you were planning to
take a flight anywhere in the near future, this is
the one thing that you absolutely need that is a
game changer.

Speaker 1 (02:29):
Okay, that on the way.

Speaker 3 (02:31):
So it's Friday night tonight to state the obvious. Friday
night lights in high school football is back. Just looking
at some of the football action tonight. Oh yeah, let's
get dramatic on it. Yeah, so I note, did you
see your ama mottos that let me just beat Western
last weekend seventy one to zero.

Speaker 1 (02:49):
That's how the Griffins do it. They just run up
the score. Trude. What is practiced like the next week
for that defense?

Speaker 3 (03:00):
I mean, oh man, I have I just can think
about when we had games like that first night. It's
a battle for Torrence bragging, right, says the Torrents Tartars
Battle of the Torrents West Warriors. Tarter's got a late
field goal from Carlos Hudgens to win their first game
this is West's first game.

Speaker 1 (03:19):
So that's when you get the Butterflies first night. Okay, fine.

Speaker 3 (03:23):
Number nineteen Warren Bears from Downey Head to Guardena to
take on the number thirteen Sarah Cavaliers.

Speaker 1 (03:31):
That's happening. We have a big one here.

Speaker 3 (03:33):
Number three Corona Centennial Huskies host the number eleven Santa
Margarita Eagles.

Speaker 1 (03:38):
Both teams lost in Week one, but two elite teams.

Speaker 3 (03:42):
Who will start at QB For Corona, it's a big
debate that I love that coach that makes you compete
for it during the week's practice to see who's gonna
win the right.

Speaker 1 (03:52):
To start the press. I would almost lose that.

Speaker 3 (03:55):
I would always lose that, and if I did win that,
I would screw it up within the first few plays.

Speaker 1 (03:59):
You play quarterback?

Speaker 4 (04:00):
No, you played smart safety?

Speaker 1 (04:02):
No strong se That's how I was confused. Are you
talking about the quarterback?

Speaker 3 (04:07):
You may ask your smart safety device to play. Why
don't you point safety?

Speaker 1 (04:13):
Uh?

Speaker 3 (04:14):
And college is back to UCLA plays at Hawaii tomorrow
for thirty USC plays LSU in Vegas.

Speaker 1 (04:21):
They go to Hawaii. They're playing Hawaii.

Speaker 3 (04:24):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (04:24):
Is that well? Ucla Hawaii USC Vegas?

Speaker 5 (04:28):
Wow?

Speaker 3 (04:28):
That's at four thirty on Sunday temps tonight in the
low seventies at game time. Now, we are going to
be out for Friday night lights at the Santa Monica Pier.
We're lighting it up to be the Wheel of Fortune.
So the wheel, the fairest wheel will turn into the
Wheel of Fortune wheel magically. Uh and Sisney Tanya myself
will be there, Yes, for all of that. If you're
in the area and wherever you're gonna be on the
west side, you'll be able to see it. So is

(04:50):
van A White going to be there?

Speaker 1 (04:52):
Will be there?

Speaker 2 (04:52):
Oh that's the headline forget about us.

Speaker 1 (04:56):
Yeah, that's true.

Speaker 3 (04:57):
You want to meet Vana White and see the legend
in person. Santa Monica Peer tonight, nice seven o'clock. We're
out there to celebrate the new launch of Wheel of
Fortune seven o'clock.

Speaker 1 (05:10):
I mean you want to be there when you get
sort of dark sunsetting.

Speaker 3 (05:13):
Yeah, let's get to the horoscopes.

Speaker 1 (05:17):
How's your day gonna look today.

Speaker 4 (05:18):
Let's start it off aries, examine your budget and look
for areas that you can trim.

Speaker 2 (05:23):

Speaker 4 (05:27):

Speaker 1 (05:41):
Scorpio, order in and enjoy a mellow night.

Speaker 4 (05:44):
Sagittarius, pop into an indie store and support a small business.

Speaker 2 (05:48):
Capricorn, someone's feeling flirtatious and vivacious. I would know, Aquarius,
today is the day to make a bold move and
five sees Today is the day to finish that to list.

Speaker 3 (06:01):
Okay, so think about that as you shape up your
Friday oh for the Friday weekend watch list. I know,
I know it's like I'm late on this and maybe
old news, but I re engaged watching The Bear and
I feel the stress though, Like it's one of those
things where you know when you have hot sauce and

(06:22):
you're it's so spicy, but you keep eating it. Right
this The Bear gives me stress and I want more
of it.

Speaker 1 (06:30):
What season are you on right now? Two? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (06:32):
So this is the season where he's opening up the restaurant,
and he's.

Speaker 1 (06:35):
Opening up the restaurant.

Speaker 3 (06:37):
Everything's Yeah, I feel that I'm carrying the weight of
having them open up the restaurant.

Speaker 1 (06:43):
Did you Jeremy Allen White is ripped?

Speaker 4 (06:45):
Did you know that Easton and his wife met Jeremy
Allen White? They just like saw him out in the
streets of I'm not sure the city, but I'm gonna.

Speaker 1 (06:53):
Say, Hollywood, I did not know that Easton.

Speaker 3 (06:55):
If you're around and want to share the story of
meeting one of the stars at the Bear Jeremy Allen White,
feel free chime in.

Speaker 4 (07:01):
His wife got a photo.

Speaker 3 (07:04):
You always want to hear that. You want to hear that, well, listen.
If you want to be in the wild with us tonight,
come out. We will take photos. We're ready for you.

Speaker 1 (07:12):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (07:12):
This is actually really really exciting, and the Wheel of
Fortune team has put this together so I feel it's
just I can't it's hard to say this because I
can't believe it's happening. But I'm hosting Wheel of Fortune.
It starts September ninth. We have taped episodes already. Yeah,
and the best part is meeting three people every night

(07:34):
and seeing their reaction to winning.

Speaker 1 (07:36):
It's the best part. It's the highlight.

Speaker 3 (07:39):
And tonight what we're doing is we're transforming the La
coastline by turning the ferris wheel at the Santa Monicapeer
into the largest Wheel of Fortune ever.

Speaker 2 (07:47):
Cool.

Speaker 3 (07:48):
It will light up like the wheel that you see
on the TV show. So if you're in Santa Monica tonight,
if you're on the west side tonight, come by the Peer.
You have a chance to make the wheel spin. And really,
if you're anywhere on the west side, you'll see this
thing light up.

Speaker 1 (08:06):
But we will. We will be there taking photos.

Speaker 3 (08:09):
Bana White is going to be out there, and a
brand new era of Wheel of Fortune starts September night.
I was reading this, this show has given away over
three hundred million dollars.

Speaker 4 (08:21):
Whoa, that is crazy.

Speaker 3 (08:24):
Three hundred million dollars. So Systaney Town, you're coming to
kiss Staff coming, Yeah, we'll be.

Speaker 1 (08:28):
There, and it sounds fun. I think I might come
the whole family.

Speaker 3 (08:31):
Oh yeah, it is that kind of a thing. Come
down and hang out, Yeah, wherever you want.

Speaker 1 (08:35):
We were, we were at the pier.

Speaker 4 (08:37):
We were going to do a date night tonight and
I was like, uh, Santa Monica.

Speaker 3 (08:42):
Peer, so Tayla Broadcasting lives, So you're gonna come down
with Robbie.

Speaker 2 (08:48):
Yeah, We're either going to do it a dinner before
or after. It's going to be really cool for people
that are in an airplane. Yeah, oh that's interesting at
LAX right, yeah, because it's so near. It's so close
to Lax. You're taking off or landing, you'll see it
and you see Sofi Stadium and you see everythinging.

Speaker 3 (09:05):
Oh yeah, get some photos of that and tag us yes,
what is that going to look like from the air
tag me? Uh jojo Kail are broadcasting live from the
cinemaicrap here three to nine, but that's at seven o'clock.
We'll be down there, so hang Friday night lights for
us too.

Speaker 2 (09:19):
Mm hmm.

Speaker 1 (09:20):
Tanya's tips have we been.

Speaker 3 (09:21):
Have wen Tipsy's She's got a lot of these, and
there were real zingers, but Tiny's tips this morning.

Speaker 1 (09:28):
This is if you're traveling a Tanya tip.

Speaker 4 (09:30):
Okay, if you're out there and any of you sleep
on the tray table in front of your seat, So
if you're like somebody that puts the tray table down
and you can sleep on it hunched over, this is
for you. You bit it on Amazon. It's less than
twenty dollars. You blow it up when you get on
the plane, and it's like this pillow and basically it's

(09:51):
like the size of your body right here, and it
has a hole for your hands to go in, and
then it has like a hole like a like a
massage table that you just like put your head in.
So you're literally just stacked like that arms you're all
condensed into your own seat. I slept seven and a
half hours straight with this bad boy in my lap.
So it is a game changer. No no achy, no pains.

Speaker 6 (10:14):
It was.

Speaker 3 (10:15):
That's interesting, amazing. I even it started back when I
was in school. That's how I slept on my desk. Yeah,
you know, when we had a few minutes so you
finished your assignment and you were just beat, you just
rest your head on your arms. But I had to
take the So before I started working here, I was
taking the United shuttle up to San Francisco to host
a TV show and then flying back down for star

(10:36):
and at eight point seven in the afternoon, and I
was taking that five fifty am and five twenty whatever
the earliest shuttle was from lax up and down to
get back in time for the radio show. And that's
how I would sleep. Then I would be out out
but to think about being comfortable. It's a short flight,
but to be comfortable for seven hours like that, I'm.

Speaker 4 (10:54):
Telling you it was like a game changer. It's if
you're a little socially like ancient, it might not be
for you because you do it's a little bit embarrassing
to like blow it up and look at the people
around you and beer are kind of like, what are
you doing? So if you're a little I.

Speaker 3 (11:09):
Don't know, I think blowing things up in front of people, Okay, it's.

Speaker 1 (11:15):
To comfort, yeah, honestly, Yeah, do for yourself.

Speaker 3 (11:18):
All right, here's a quote for today. We love quotes
around here. We don't finish a lot of books, so
we are good with the short quotes. Healing isn't about
getting back to who you were before. It's about coming
to terms with the new you, the one who survived
a storm. Hard to do, but just something to think about.
Put in your pocket. We are into a Friday morning

(11:40):
one of two point seven Kiss FM.

Speaker 1 (11:42):
Kiss FM Headlines with siciny Well.

Speaker 2 (11:44):

Speaker 1 (12:19):
On air with Ryan Seacret.

Speaker 3 (12:23):
Hey, Fyi, Joe Jonas is coming with new music, but
he's saying that like he's not trying to put someone
on blast. I mean, he's been through a lot of stuff.
It's been very public, right, I mean he's not trying
to put people on blasts.

Speaker 4 (12:33):
Are we going to get a post divorce rage album?

Speaker 1 (12:36):
Is the question.

Speaker 3 (12:37):
I don't see Joe Jonas as like a rage more month.
Do you see Joe Jonas?

Speaker 1 (12:43):
See him more like Cake by the Ocean? Fun?

Speaker 3 (12:47):
Yeah, like like it's that colorful and fun. But you've
got some information and I'm I'm ready for some Joe Jonas.
He's been out of my life for too long, actually
too long, But there's a time when there was just
a the revolving door of Joe Jonas.

Speaker 1 (13:01):
I agree, you don't. I don't. I don't. I don't
like him off my map. I feel like the same thing.

Speaker 4 (13:06):
I feel like we have them around constantly for a
period of time and now they're just gone. Right now,
they're still brothers, Yes, they are still brothers, but.

Speaker 3 (13:16):
But they were like really in our house for a minute. Yeah,
let's play match game. We'll get to all of that
coming up. It is a Friday morning, just trying to
loosen up a little bit, right, let's not let's not
be too stressed.

Speaker 1 (13:29):
Made it to the end of the week.

Speaker 3 (13:30):
I got one more day to get through, got a
long weekend hopefully ahead of you. We're gonna be out
tonight the Santa Monica Peer live, lighting that wheel up
as the Wheel of Fortune, come out and say hi,
Lana is contested. See I'm rehearsing for Wheel Fortune. By
playing these games, you can tell, you can actually tell them.
You can tell when I do this, especially this one, Lana,
tell me about yourself from North through age.

Speaker 7 (13:51):
Good morning actually works with some talk.

Speaker 8 (13:55):
So I'm enjoying my life.

Speaker 9 (13:56):
Yere In La came back.

Speaker 6 (13:58):
From abroad after living in Boston, like fifteen years.

Speaker 9 (14:02):
I just came back last year with my baby, so
I'm super happy to be here.

Speaker 10 (14:05):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (14:06):
Say you work for TikTok?

Speaker 10 (14:08):
Yes?

Speaker 4 (14:09):
I do?

Speaker 1 (14:10):
Well? What can you tell us? Are you spying on us?

Speaker 7 (14:13):
Like?

Speaker 1 (14:13):
What do we need to understand?

Speaker 2 (14:16):
Everything is good?

Speaker 10 (14:17):
Don't worry.

Speaker 6 (14:18):
We have a bunch of regulations in place.

Speaker 3 (14:20):
Only I don't worry, but I do worry because sometimes
I'll text something and then a video will appear of
exactly what I'm texting about.

Speaker 4 (14:28):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (14:30):
Wow, I don't think that's ever happened to me.

Speaker 2 (14:32):
But I don't worry about.

Speaker 11 (14:33):
Everything is super kill everything.

Speaker 1 (14:36):
We'll take your word for it.

Speaker 4 (14:37):
I don't know it's called algorithm.

Speaker 1 (14:40):
I don't.

Speaker 3 (14:42):
Though, not if he speaks it or text it exactly
when I speak it. It's like it knows what I'm thinking. Yes,
let's go to contest number two. William who works for X. No,
I'm kidding William. Good morning?

Speaker 1 (14:53):
How are you?

Speaker 10 (14:55):
Yeah? I'm here.

Speaker 2 (14:56):
I wish I worked correct though?

Speaker 1 (14:58):
Are you well? Who do you work for?

Speaker 4 (15:00):
What do you do?

Speaker 1 (15:00):
Tell us about yourself?

Speaker 5 (15:01):
Wow?

Speaker 2 (15:02):
Well, my name is William.

Speaker 10 (15:03):
I work at a construction group.

Speaker 1 (15:06):
And a rock plant.

Speaker 6 (15:07):
Actually that's where I'm at right now.

Speaker 3 (15:09):
A rock plant, yep is where we actually crush rocks,
take big rocks.

Speaker 6 (15:15):
Make them into little rocks, and then we build it
with them essentially.

Speaker 1 (15:19):
Oh that's cool.

Speaker 3 (15:20):
Interesting, huh. I guess that's stuff we don't really think
about unless we're in that business.

Speaker 10 (15:27):
Yeah. No, I mean that's you're completely right. I mean
I never thought of it until she got into.

Speaker 7 (15:31):
The business in the industry over there, So you're exactly right.

Speaker 3 (15:35):
Well, I'm fascinated by both of your worlds. I don't
want to get hung up on it. It's easy for
me to do, but so we'll keep moving here. The
game is called match Game. It's a lot of fun.

Speaker 1 (15:42):
We got the panel in on it.

Speaker 3 (15:44):
Our panel of sistany Tanya Ruby and our engineer Tubs
will write down what they think should go in the blank,
and then we'll hear your answers. Whoever gets the most
matches will win a trip to the happiest place on Earth.
I'll make sure I walk you through it easily. Let's
start with Lana tested number one. So, Lana, I need
you to say something here, but first, just think it

(16:06):
wild blank?

Speaker 9 (16:07):
All right?

Speaker 1 (16:07):
Wild? What what would it be? Wild? Fill in the blank.

Speaker 3 (16:11):
It's a you know, something goes with wild could be
a compound word, it could be a thought.

Speaker 1 (16:17):
I think the panel. Okay, wild animals got it.

Speaker 3 (16:20):
Here we go, Sysaney, I said, rivers, wild rivers, rivers?

Speaker 1 (16:26):
All right, Tanya, I said wild rivers too. No, you're
supposed to match with Lana. Not all right?

Speaker 3 (16:34):
So the game here is to match with the caller Ruby.
Did you say wild animals?

Speaker 1 (16:37):
No, I said wild cat, wild cot.

Speaker 3 (16:41):
Well, that comes down to tubbs, tubs, wild animals, wildflowers.
All right, Well, hold on, Lana. Let's get to William here.
If he gets one match, he wins yours. William is
paper blank, So think about that, paper blank, paper blank?

(17:02):
What's it gonna be? All right, panel, tell me when
you're ready match game.

Speaker 1 (17:07):
Here we go, William, paper what paper plates? By the way,
your voice is awesome. Do people tell you how deep
your voice is?

Speaker 10 (17:21):
Well, to be honest, Zakie, someone used to say that,
you know, I have a voice for radio, But I
was like.

Speaker 7 (17:26):
Does that mean to like my faces for radio?

Speaker 9 (17:28):
To then?

Speaker 3 (17:29):
Well listen to radio? But I love the baritone anyway. Again,
not to get distracted, here, let's go. You said paper plates,
Sisney paper plates.

Speaker 1 (17:41):
I said, paper airplanes. I love that song. Okay, and
it's Tanya.

Speaker 4 (17:47):
I said, paper rings, Taylor Swift rings.

Speaker 3 (17:53):
And ruby paper plates, paper clip, paper clip. Well it
comes down to tubs here for the win. Tubs, paper plates.

Speaker 1 (18:02):
Paper airplanes, tubs and match, guys.

Speaker 3 (18:06):
The game is to match with the caller before the
end of the day. I don't know why it's such
a struggle. Back to Lana, here's yours again, blank friend,
blank friend.

Speaker 1 (18:17):
All right, here we go, Lana, what'd.

Speaker 7 (18:20):
You say, best friend?

Speaker 1 (18:25):
Best friend?

Speaker 3 (18:26):
Okay, you have a match, Disney said, best said best friend.
To congratulations Lana. Four pack to Disneyland, And I gotta
tell you, William the rock Crusher. I love your voice.
I love what you do. I'm going to give you
some tickets as well. Everybody win it.

Speaker 1 (18:42):
Got it, got it, got everybody win? All right? So
to the back room. Uh, just fy.

Speaker 3 (18:48):
I don't know if you listen to the show, but
everybody gets tickets here.

Speaker 1 (18:51):
Yes, I love it. What do you think they're doing
back there?

Speaker 3 (18:55):
Sometimes I think they're on TikTok talking to Lana. Hey,
what's that you too? Thanks for listening to us.

Speaker 1 (19:04):
I have to tell you.

Speaker 3 (19:04):
We just played match game with William and Lana. Both
of them have fascinating jobs. She works for TikTok and
didn't reveal any secrets.

Speaker 1 (19:12):
And William.

Speaker 3 (19:13):
One of his jobs. He works at a place that
crushes rocks for construction.

Speaker 1 (19:18):
That would be big rocks, my son Max's dream job.

Speaker 3 (19:22):
Right that they mind then they crush them. But he's
got their thing. Everybody's got their thing. I'm so curious
to know about it.

Speaker 1 (19:31):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (19:32):
I think that's what Fred Flintstone did too. I mean, yes,
let's get to a trending report. So Joe Jonas we mentioned,
he's working on new music. He's got it ready, it's
all packaged. It's been a minute since we've heard from him.
There was a lot of news. I feel like it
was two years ago, maybe a year ago, year and
a half ago, whatever the timeframe was, of him in
a very public divorce.

Speaker 4 (19:52):
I mean, you know a lot more than I was expecting.

Speaker 3 (19:56):
Well, you tell me, I know, I know stuff that
you tell me. Yeah, So he and Sophie split publicly.
How to inspire some music? The question is what tone
will the music be? Tony you take it away?

Speaker 1 (20:09):
Correct?

Speaker 4 (20:09):
So he did just release a new single, but he
is gearing up to release a ton more new music,
and she did an interview with Billboard and he said
it was scary at times and also freeing. I'm not
trying to come for anyone on this album. I'm not
trying to put stuff on blast. So if you know,
obviously when you go through divorce, he went through his
divorce in September of twenty twenty three, so we're coming

(20:31):
up on a year that obviously like shapes a lot,
you know, you go through so much, but it looks
like we're gonna get some happy tunes because he said,
I have a beautiful life that I'm grateful for. I've
got two beautiful kids. I'm a happy person, and the
music needed to resemble that, but also the journey to
get there. So he's basically saying, like, look, divorce is awful.

(20:52):
It was a journey. I went through it, but I'm
a happy person. I love my life and I love that.
And so it's like sometimes you hear divorce album and
you think like the Adele route, but I feel like
we're going to get some divorce music, but it's going
to be a happier, lighter tone kind of just like
you can go through stuff in life and come out
on the other side and be happy, in light and free.

Speaker 3 (21:14):
Well it worked for Adele the other way, right right,
right works for everybody. I think, if I'm Joe Jonas,
what do I want to exist forever in the archives?
Because this is not like this disappears like an invisible text.

Speaker 1 (21:28):
It's an album. It exists forever.

Speaker 3 (21:31):
It's the kind of mentality that you probably want to have,
even if it's very difficult to have. But if it were,
if it were us, I feel like we do the
same kind of thing. This is the kind of album
we would make.

Speaker 1 (21:43):
Yeah, And I.

Speaker 4 (21:44):
Think it's also just very telling because you know, obviously divorce, heartbreak,
it's it's horrible, especially when there's kids involved. But I
think Joe is saying, like it happened, it doesn't define me,
and I am.

Speaker 1 (21:58):
I'm happy.

Speaker 4 (21:59):
I'm going to make happy me and all is well.

Speaker 3 (22:02):
All right, So we will look to hear from him
as well and invite him to come by to talk
about that. But Joe Jonas and a whole new album,
come in your way, let me grab see. This is Brendia, Brandia, Brendia.

Speaker 1 (22:13):
That's a great name. In saning Gabor. Good morning, Brandia.
How are you?

Speaker 9 (22:17):
I'm good?

Speaker 1 (22:20):
Cool?

Speaker 3 (22:21):
You want to tell us what's going on with your
boyfriend's family group chat?

Speaker 1 (22:25):
Everybody in on this?

Speaker 11 (22:27):
Yeah, yeah, I'll tell you.

Speaker 9 (22:29):
It's it's pretty embarrassing. So I just want some advice,
see if I can like salvage this situation or if
I should just go live in a cave somewhere because
it's pretty mortifying. But basically, like, you know how you
can name a group cat? Yeah, yeah, so I thought

(22:51):
that was just for your personal use, Like I thought
it was like.

Speaker 1 (22:54):
A contact name.

Speaker 9 (22:56):
Like I didn't realize that everybody in the group chat
could see it. So I've been dating guy for like
six months and uh uh, his parents started a family
group chat with me in it, which is like super
sweet of them.

Speaker 11 (23:10):
Yeah, so cute, very cute, but so I he is
the name of it, and I called it my future family.

Speaker 4 (23:21):
Oh cute.

Speaker 1 (23:23):
Okay, it's cute.

Speaker 2 (23:24):
Though, it's cute, but the whole family saw this.

Speaker 1 (23:28):
But isn't that so?

Speaker 9 (23:29):
Yeah? Well, I mean, so my boyfriend said something to
me about it, and I realized what was going on
and I died.

Speaker 11 (23:39):
It's just like I mean, honestly, like I do think
he's the one, Like I kind of do think they're.

Speaker 3 (23:45):
My future here to have it on total uh broadcast
to the whole family.

Speaker 2 (23:50):
Well, I could see she just thought it was for her,
like she was changing it on her phone.

Speaker 1 (23:54):
And that's cute if it was es you looking at it, oh.

Speaker 10 (23:57):
Man, Yeah, like I didn't. I was for me.

Speaker 11 (24:00):
I didn't mean to like show his mom, his dad
and both.

Speaker 1 (24:06):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (24:07):
So what I've used in the past is the home
team if you want to, if you want to change
it to something that, like I don't.

Speaker 2 (24:14):
Know, Okay, Yeah, has anybody else said you besides your boyfriend?

Speaker 1 (24:22):
Has there been any laughs for haha? Well?

Speaker 11 (24:25):
Yeah, I mean he's being cool about it. He thinks
it's really funny.

Speaker 9 (24:29):
His mom is sort of like going a little fast.

Speaker 3 (24:32):
Are we kind of like, oh no, it's gonna be
so uncomfortable with mama barr No.

Speaker 4 (24:39):
Give it a couple of weeks and then it'll be
old news.

Speaker 1 (24:41):
But do you change it back? Is that what it's
called now? My future family forever?

Speaker 3 (24:47):
It's just it's still called that.

Speaker 9 (24:49):
I just haven't changed because I don't want to like
throw more attention to it.

Speaker 3 (24:52):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, Well I think you just
got to lean into this one, double down, double down.

Speaker 7 (24:57):
Right.

Speaker 3 (24:57):
If it doesn't work out, then he's not the one
down go for it.

Speaker 1 (25:02):
So what you said? Your truth? Ah? How you like it?

Speaker 10 (25:05):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (25:05):
And it's kind of cute all right, I's your family.
Thank you brand Dia put.

Speaker 4 (25:12):
Some ring emojis in there, all right, I'm gonna own it.

Speaker 7 (25:15):
Thanks you guys.

Speaker 1 (25:17):
Bye.

Speaker 3 (25:18):
I actually tell you, I think I would not have
known that. Everybody can see the name of the group
chat as well.

Speaker 1 (25:23):
I could see you not knowing that.

Speaker 3 (25:25):
But can they see the name of the person, like
if you put in there like Tony, remember you used
to put like uh Tony Miami.

Speaker 1 (25:32):
Right right right? Oh, like Michael's cad in my phone? Yeah?
Can they see that? No? Just is that your your
contact your contacts? Unless you share your contact with someone,
then that you're sharing it as baby and it comes
up as the name, yes, which.

Speaker 4 (25:46):
I've had an uncomfortable situation with that before where someone
sent me a contact and it had like the eggplant
emoji in their name and like yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1 (25:54):
Gross, I'm now buffering.

Speaker 4 (25:57):
Yeah, I know, I know.

Speaker 1 (26:00):
GTK on that though. Good to know.

Speaker 3 (26:05):
GTK. Well, this is a local business. It's something interesting
that we saw. Mandy Kolai is on the line with
this now from Echo Park. She started a place called
pot Studios. So, Mandy, thanks for coming on first to
tell us about why you started pot Studios LA. You

(26:26):
noticed it like it wasn't accessible making pottery and ceramics
in certain parts of LA and wanted to change that.

Speaker 7 (26:33):
Well, I noticed going into pottery studios as a hobby
potter my whole life, that there was like some diversity
and fun vibes missing in general. And I was constantly
going to studios that I didn't really feel I fit in,
or that weren't really fun or I want to bring
my friends or a date. And so I spent years
fantasizing about a space that I wished existed. And it

(26:56):
was kind of like years of wishing someplace existed it
up with one day me saying, you know what, I'm
just going to do it. I'm just going to make it.
So I started small and that's when I opened our
first studio in twenty seventeen in Echo Park.

Speaker 3 (27:11):
So one of the things is hobby potter. You were
a hobby potter. I love the.

Speaker 1 (27:16):
Tim, Yes, and it seems to me.

Speaker 3 (27:19):
I do meet people in the wild that are into this,
and I think it's a really interesting thing to do
because it requires some creativity and some patience and probably
a good outlet and nice hobby. But what were you
doing before? That's always interesting to me. What what did
you quit doing to start something like this? It's fun
for you.

Speaker 7 (27:35):
You know, I was your average LA millennial. I had
like an office job, you know. I worked corporate part
time office jobs where I did at minwork and then
I would take on side projects with my friends helping
them out. I was, you know, I was. I was
doing stand up comedy honestly, and trying to write and

(27:57):
get into writing and TV writing, and so I didn't
always think I was going to open a pottery studio,
but it was kind of the one thing that I
always loved from high school and on that I always
went back to. And I was just more and more
interested in things that got me off my phone to
be honest and unplugged me.

Speaker 1 (28:17):
That's a great way.

Speaker 3 (28:18):
That is an amazing outlook. So it's called pot Studios
La Now. Space is in Echo Park in mid City,
and it's a pottery studio.

Speaker 1 (28:27):
For everybody, everybody in the community.

Speaker 3 (28:30):
It's a cool thing to check out and get into
a hobby pottering or potting or whatever you whatever. You
called it fun hobby Potter. Yeah, without saying Harry Potter.
But you could be as well, I mean, why not.

Speaker 7 (28:47):
Yeah, yeah, you told me making Harry Potter Pott. You
can make it Harry Potter Pott.

Speaker 1 (28:51):
If you want.

Speaker 3 (28:52):
All right, well nominate somebody in your community. Here at
KISSFM dot com, we'd love celebrating these local businesses.

Speaker 1 (28:58):
Good luck to you. So nice to meet you, man
continued success.

Speaker 7 (29:01):
Thank you so much. So nice to meet you too.

Speaker 3 (29:04):
All right, so I'm gonna put on my list of things.
Remember when I started surfing, I stet a bike riding. Yeah,
I need to start Harry Pottering.

Speaker 1 (29:14):
Right, ceramics the list.

Speaker 3 (29:17):
Ceramics, Like, wouldn't that be wouldn't you think that's hot?
If someone goes, let's go pottering ceramic ing today?

Speaker 2 (29:23):
Yeah, because then you picture the movie Ghost when like
the clay is like going in between their hands.

Speaker 1 (29:28):
Well wait, Ruby, what's wrong with that? Bettering? Let's go pottering,
Let's go pottering.

Speaker 3 (29:35):
I think that's I think that's a cool line, Hey,
what are you up to Saturday? Let's go pottering. I
love this topic. Are dudes lying about their height? I
don't see myself as lying, but I do see myself
as always saying to tall people, what's it like?

Speaker 1 (29:55):
You know what?

Speaker 3 (29:57):
I'm trying to think of who I was with. I
was with a guy like a week ago, and what
do you consider tall?

Speaker 1 (30:09):
Five to ten?

Speaker 4 (30:10):
You're like just under five to ten?

Speaker 3 (30:13):
Yeah, And I consider myself almost tall. I consider I
think you know, six something. If something's tall, what's it like?

Speaker 1 (30:19):
Six and up? But I guess the guys have been known.

Speaker 3 (30:23):
I don't know if anybody has noticed this in their
dating in the back room, but I guess guys have
been known to lie about their height. And you can
check it, yeah, check it before you date it on
chat GPT.

Speaker 2 (30:35):
I was talking to some of my single girlfriends the
other night and I was asking because I saw this story,
and I was like, hey, and like, when you're on
these apps, can you tell if a guy is short
just based on his pictures? And they were like, yes,
you can if they do a point five, or if
they're hunching down with the dog, or if they're sitting
or like solo picks with no other guy friends or

(30:55):
only picks with girlfriends, like would down.

Speaker 8 (30:58):
Then they make like a height joke in the profile
and so and yeah, and then even sometimes if you
get to the date they said, they're already sitting down
and they never get up the entire time.

Speaker 1 (31:08):
Well, that's weird. They don't stand up to say hello.
I think that's run.

Speaker 2 (31:14):
You get through the date and then then you get
up to leave and they're so short.

Speaker 3 (31:19):
Wait, but who doesn't stand up when someone arrives.

Speaker 1 (31:22):
That's just awkward.

Speaker 2 (31:23):
Anyway, I think so too, But you never know it happens,
and maybe these are all tricks that short guys or
short kings short kings since her kings do so. Now
with chat GPT ladies, you can take some of the
pictures that they have on their app, and you upload
four pictures and it uses proportions and surroundings to estimate
the height the real height of said man.

Speaker 3 (31:46):
I'm just scrolling through my crouched down pictures and photos
of me by myself, and uh yeah right, but.

Speaker 2 (31:55):
The point five I'd be laughing so hard because you
have the point five elongates, o.

Speaker 1 (32:03):
Legs so long, all of that I'm glad we identified
the trick.

Speaker 2 (32:08):
Yeah, and I guess a women tested this on ten
friends and family members and the estimates were spot on,
like maybe an inch or two off, but very accurate.

Speaker 3 (32:17):
Beware, we're on to you. Let me grab Beka Tilly here.
This is Tanya's best friend or a co host on
the podcast Scrubbing In with Becca Tilly, Tanya rad and iHeartRadio.
Also runner up on season nineteen of the Bachelor.

Speaker 1 (32:32):
Yeah, she returned seas.

Speaker 3 (32:36):
Uh in a big relationship now with the famous pop
star and now Becca High and welcome back. Hi, Ryan,
you're one of Tanya's maids of honor.

Speaker 1 (32:48):
Uh. You know I'm hosting the ceremony, so we will
see at the thing.

Speaker 10 (32:52):
Yeah, we're We're waiting for you to confirm a day
with your schedule.

Speaker 2 (32:56):
So trust line on Brian's availability.

Speaker 1 (33:02):
It's not it's not help put that pressure on me.
It's not. Tanya just wants to get married. Any time
you want. We will take a day off.

Speaker 4 (33:15):
The balls in your court now, you.

Speaker 3 (33:19):
Know, in an effort to understand more about Tanya for
my performance my mom on the wedding day, I want
to understand. So you recently shared a hotel room with Tanya.

Speaker 1 (33:30):
That's right.

Speaker 10 (33:31):
Uh yeah, it was a house, but we shared a well,
we shared a bed in a bathroom together. We did
have an extra bedroom, but she insisted on sharing a
bedroom together.

Speaker 3 (33:43):
And why would you let her when she can have
you can have your own space.

Speaker 10 (33:48):
I have to pick my battles because it was like,
what you know, it's just had to pick my battles.
And that didn't feel like when I was ready to fight.

Speaker 2 (34:00):
The iHeart Festival one year, Like she slept in my
room even though she had her own room down the
hall n company.

Speaker 4 (34:06):
You don't understand, like I loved my college days when
I slept in a room with like thirty other girls,
and so this is like me reliving those days when
I get to share.

Speaker 10 (34:16):
Great for you, Yeah, I just don't think it's fair
that that is put on others. But again, you do
things for the ones you love or something the sacrifice.

Speaker 1 (34:30):
How is she with her bathroom etiquette?

Speaker 10 (34:33):
Not great? I'll be honest. There was an emergency situation.
I don't need to get into the details, but I
was like, hey, I need the bat like I need
you to get out, and she's I was like she goes,
I need to brush my teeth. I'm like, okay, fine,
like brush your teeth.

Speaker 2 (34:49):
I walk in.

Speaker 6 (34:50):
She's slowly flossing every two and I'm like, you have
to find another space to do this in and then
she's trying.

Speaker 10 (35:01):
To put up her toothbrush.

Speaker 6 (35:02):
It's slow.

Speaker 10 (35:03):
It's just there's no rush at all.

Speaker 9 (35:06):
So I was.

Speaker 1 (35:08):
Your crisis.

Speaker 10 (35:09):
Oh gosh, I would say crisis, and there was no rush.

Speaker 1 (35:15):
Shanya read the room. I know. I'm sorry. I was
so stressful.

Speaker 4 (35:18):
And then when she told me to hurry up, I like,
I started like bumbling, Like I was like dropping my
toothbrush and they couldn't get it back in the case.

Speaker 10 (35:25):
It was yeah, it wasn't good.

Speaker 3 (35:28):
Now we have some audio. Let's pull up this ad
is amazing. We have audio from the stay in the
house in the room with Tanya.

Speaker 1 (35:35):
Do we want to pull that up?

Speaker 10 (35:40):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (35:41):
What what's that sound? Ear piercing?

Speaker 10 (35:44):
So I actually, you know, I've been friends with Tanya
for like eight years now, and I've I learned a
lot about her on this trip. And she won't walk
around a house and that includes her own home without
socks or slippers on her feet. But she didn't bring either.
So she wore her heels around the house and that

(36:04):
was the sound when heard all weekend.

Speaker 2 (36:07):
Oh my gosh. And she's an early riser, so that
was probably like five am.

Speaker 1 (36:13):
Clonk ay clonk clonk clonk clonk.

Speaker 10 (36:16):
Yeah, it was like right in the morning, and the
first thing I heard was not.

Speaker 1 (36:19):
So, oh my gosh, like a woodpecker.

Speaker 3 (36:24):
You need to get a checklist. You have your checklist.
I'm master this the checklist for traveling. You need your pillow,
you need your socks, you need some things that like
you need because walking around in your heels while sharing
a bathroom and a bed with another person is a
little inconsiderate.

Speaker 4 (36:40):
I forgot you bring your pillow. Becca brings her pillow
everywhere too. She like does the suction. She puts in
that bag with the suction so it's like those flace
flat and she puts it in her suitcase everywhere she
goes smart.

Speaker 3 (36:51):
Yep, yep, yeah yeah, well Becca, I look forward to
telling these tales at the wedding.

Speaker 1 (36:57):
Thank you for giving me a little intelligence.

Speaker 3 (37:00):
Yeah on the bride, and look forward to seeing you soon.

Speaker 10 (37:04):
I look forward to it. Thanks all right. By Hurt Bye.

Speaker 1 (37:11):
She's just great. I see why she's your best friend.

Speaker 2 (37:14):
Yeah, the weekend watch list does not show.

Speaker 3 (37:18):
So what is on your watches? I was telling you
for me, I know, I'm a little late on it.
But I started season two of The Bear and it's
one of those things where I can feel the stress
of them opening this restaurant. But the casting is awesome
on this show, and I just I don't know. It's
one of those that I got back into and now

(37:40):
I want to watch as many episodes as possible in
a row.

Speaker 1 (37:43):
It's one of those shows you can binge.

Speaker 3 (37:45):
Some shows I can't binge, and those are harder for
me because I don't want to wait. So my weekend
watch list late on it, I know. But The Bear
season two Execsey, what's on your watch list?

Speaker 2 (37:57):
This movie was really fun to watch and it kind
of brought me back to like American Pie vibes from
like when The American Pie came out like years ago.

Speaker 1 (38:06):
It's the first week of high school, nless.

Speaker 2 (38:08):
The movie is called Incoming and it's on Netflix, and
it's just about a bunch of high school kids kind
of just getting into debauchery. It's the first week and
they have the biggest party of the year, and it's
just a really fun, kind of silly movie.

Speaker 1 (38:22):
I wonder if you watch this onhe your kids are
actually in high school.

Speaker 2 (38:26):
I mean maybe I know that, like a lot of
high school kids are watching it, and actually it was
shot at a nearby high school, at Newberry Park High School.

Speaker 1 (38:35):
Okay, incoming on Netflix, TNY, what's on your weekend? Watch this?

Speaker 4 (38:38):
Okay, So come on this journey with me, because this
is all thanks to Serena Carpenter's new album but her
music video for Taste. I don't know if you've seen it,
but it pays homage to this movie from nineteen ninety
two called Death Becomes Her. And so I was watching
the Sabriena Carpenter video a couple times over the weekend.
It made me want to rewatch this movie. It's called

(38:59):
Death Becomes Her and.

Speaker 1 (39:01):
It's with this movie me too.

Speaker 4 (39:03):
It's Goldie Hawn and Meryl Streep and it's just such
a good movie. And you can rent it for four
dollars on Amazon Prime Video.

Speaker 1 (39:12):
Love it. They should be our Halloween costumes. I know,
it's a good one.

Speaker 2 (39:16):
Oh my goodness, you just have to wear a textedo.

Speaker 1 (39:19):
I'm in go ahead, Ruby.

Speaker 5 (39:22):
So mine is American Murder Lacy Peterson on Netflix.

Speaker 1 (39:25):
I was so young when this happened.

Speaker 5 (39:27):
I was probably like nine, so I don't really remember
all the details. So rewatching this and learning all the details,
it was just like in this documentary was crazy. They
also have another version, face to face with Scott Peterson
on Peacock, So.

Speaker 1 (39:41):
That's gonna be my, uh, what I'm going to watch
this weekend.

Speaker 3 (39:44):
But like, do you think it's going to keep me
up at night? I'm worried it it might.

Speaker 1 (39:49):
Honestly, it kept David up. He just was so lucky.

Speaker 2 (39:52):
He was like, I watched this too, and it's an
easy watch. Yeah, and you'll get something. You'll do all
three episodes in one night.

Speaker 1 (39:57):
But isn't it frightening? It's more docum men is scary.
It's not scary. It's more like getting into the nitty.

Speaker 2 (40:05):
Gritty of like the police reports and like all that
type of stuff.

Speaker 1 (40:09):
It's very documentary based.

Speaker 3 (40:11):
Okay, well, Labor Day weekend is here, sunshine in the
sky highs in the low eighties nineties Inland and just
thinking back on you know, as we cover so many
things each morning, I can't remember what we've done every day,
but this one definitely stands out as our moment of
the week. On Wednesday, we were talking about TikTok's most

(40:33):
used song of summer and somehow we were talking about
Million Dollar Baby because it's on that list. I think
it's the top one, and I mentioned it was a
song I get ready to, including you know, trimming my
leg hair. It's like, you know, when you put music
on to get ready to, you needed sound track to
get ready to, Like you're in your bathroom getting ready
and you put stuff on, and Sistey and Tanya had
follow up questions and then it actually just fell apart

(40:56):
here it is legs.

Speaker 1 (40:58):
Well, the things I do to get ready shape legs.

Speaker 4 (41:02):
He trims the shin. Yeah, you trim trim, I know,
but then how far up do you go? And then
do you like feather it?

Speaker 1 (41:11):
I don't even want to think about that. I don't
feather it. How would you feather.

Speaker 4 (41:17):
Your leg because you can't just have shaved shins and
then just full like you think.

Speaker 1 (41:22):
He goes all the way up to his head, all
the way up.

Speaker 4 (41:28):
Unexpected.

Speaker 1 (41:29):
Really, yeah, the visual when you moisturize, where's Georgia in
the this is all happening, she wants to get in
on it. Sometimes that is unexpected. Every time this feather
make sure your ship shame. I just listened back. What

(41:53):
were we talking about?

Speaker 10 (41:54):
You?

Speaker 1 (41:55):
