Speaker 1 (00:00):
All right, a grande positions.
Speaker 2 (00:01):
I'm just going to tell you now, I got free
Postmates food for you here in a second.
Speaker 1 (00:05):
It's kind who doesn't want that? You know? Those things
are like there's a list of things like who doesn't
want that?
Speaker 2 (00:10):
This is on that list? Who doesn't want that? It's
on that list of who doesn't want that? Who doesn't
want Disneyland tickets? Who doesn't want only pay your bills?
Who doesn't want free food?
Speaker 1 (00:20):
Everybody wants all that stuff.
Speaker 2 (00:23):
I'm having a weird moment about this. Why well, I
didn't realize that we were going to talk about Cafe
Gratitude today here because this is where I'm giving you.
I'm giving you Postmates a Cafe Gratitude and other places
that Postmates delivers.
Speaker 1 (00:36):
I had it yesterday for lunch, Oh you did? I
had yesterday for lunch bowl from Cafe Gratitude yesterday? What
was in it? What was in my bowl yesterday from
Cafe Gratitude? Was it? The Which bowl was it? Do
you remember? How does Easton know?
Speaker 2 (00:52):
It was the Vegan bull? He ordered it. I just
got a bowl and started eating it was great. So
let me grab Patrick Hotchkiss from Cafe Gratitude. We're about
to give away some free Postmates to Cafe Gratitude here.
But here's why I love Cafe Gratitude. They've got vegan
organic dishes, and they got sandwiches, they got salads, they've
(01:14):
got smoothies, they've got sweets. But Patrick, what is it
that Cafe Gratitude is built upon?
Speaker 1 (01:22):
What is the mission?
Speaker 3 (01:24):
Yeah? So the concept was actually inspired by a board game.
The founders, Matthew and Jersey Anglehart, they took their life
savings to create this board game, it's called The Founding River,
which was centered around abundance of acknowledgment, gratitude, and really
an opportunity to get back to the community. So they
leased the space and they serve ethically sourced, organic, plant
(01:47):
based food while the customers could play this board game.
And it was such a hit, and that's it really
got the community involved, and that's how the concept was
actually founded.
Speaker 1 (01:58):
I did not know that, and I've Cafe Gratitude for years.
Speaker 3 (02:03):
Yeah, it's it's incredible what they've done. People really just
value the equality of the ingredients and and we're just
we're super grateful.
Speaker 1 (02:14):
And explain this.
Speaker 2 (02:14):
I'm about to give some away, but if you want
to get started on the right foot by eating some
plants and feeling good, this is a great spot to
do and they've got a lot of different things. But
also on the menu you have things named as positive affirmations.
Speaker 1 (02:28):
Explain that.
Speaker 3 (02:29):
Yeah, that's actually one of my favorite parts of our concept.
I love seeing how people light up during their experience
after we ask the affirmation. But yeah, when when you
order one of our dishes, like for example, our Blacky
Burger is called you I am magical, and we reaffirmed
(02:51):
them immediately to that process, so we would say you
are magical. And then we also provide a question of
the day, which changes daily, but for example, what are
you grateful for? And it's just so amazing where people
put their attention, they put their phones down and then
they start talking about it. It could be fifteen seconds
or it could be fifteen minutes, but it brings them
(03:13):
in alignment with one another. So it's pretty cool to see.
Speaker 1 (03:16):
Very cool. All right, Patrick, thank you so much for
coming on.
Speaker 2 (03:19):
They've got large smont Venice, Newport Cafe Gratitude on Instagram.
Speaker 1 (03:23):
You should check them out.
Speaker 2 (03:24):
But for the first five callers now I have free
Postmates for you. You can use a cafe gratitude or anyway
really one eight hundred and five to oh one oh
two seven at Kiss FM. I generally feel better in
the day if I eat something like that while working,
you know, like it doesn't slow me down. Sometimes if
I eat something heavier while working, it's like, especially while talking,
(03:47):
I get all kinds of indigestion.
Speaker 1 (03:49):
No, this is healthy, it's yummy, and you have the affirmations. Yeah,
it's got.
Speaker 2 (03:54):
To put you in a good gratitude mood. One eight
hundred five to one oh two seven. Now Sizza tickets
are next, and then it's Ryan's roses. So he was
drunk and asked her a question, and the question was
what would you do if I cheated on you? That
was the question he asked, like hypothetical, like what's he doing?
Speaker 1 (04:12):
Oh no, next,
