Speaker 1 (00:00):
From Hollywood to you.
Speaker 2 (00:02):
Thank you for listening to US Air on Air with
a Ryan Seacrest, The Pain of the Alarm on the
First day of School, one of two point seven Kiss
FM Los Angeles. I mean, it's the first day. It's
gonna be the first day for schools as the days
go by. Today you got specifically all Hamber Arcadia, Bassett Unified,
Beverly Hills and Williams Heart Unified. Welcome back. I know
(00:26):
you haven't been here every day. I know you haven't.
I can just tell.
Speaker 1 (00:29):
And we miss you, you know, but this makes fun
for kids the first day of school. You put your
outfit out the night before like all that. It's like it's.
Speaker 2 (00:36):
Exciting, you know what. I think, Hi, Tony, how are you?
Speaker 3 (00:40):
I'm good? How are you?
Speaker 2 (00:41):
You? Forgot to turn your microphone off?
Speaker 3 (00:42):
And I know, I know, I know.
Speaker 2 (00:45):
It's the fundamental things right so early. La Usd's back
on Thursday. But Sisnety to your point, I think it's
a combination of anxiety and excitement. I remember both butterflies
and excitement. I remember nerves and enthusiasm. I remember thinking
there's one teacher that's too strict on my c schedule.
I remember thinking who I sit next to in home room.
I remember a lot of things.
Speaker 1 (01:04):
You know, I remember thinking like who am I going
to have a crush on this year? Like will I
sit next to them?
Speaker 3 (01:11):
Will you guys kind of get those same giddy feelings
here on Sundays? No, Jez did not think this would
have listened.
Speaker 2 (01:19):
Somebody laughs, what the same giddy feelings except like.
Speaker 3 (01:23):
This Sundays when before we come back, like, oh my god.
Speaker 1 (01:26):
For a vacation. Maybe you know, Yeah, we've been away
this week Christmas.
Speaker 2 (01:31):
This week has been nice. Yeah, and this week after
we've been away last week, it's been nice to be back.
Speaker 3 (01:35):
Ye finny, but also can't really sleep.
Speaker 2 (01:39):
Sure there are things that we missed about each other.
I go, I forgot to tell you that yesterday. That
will happen a week.
Speaker 1 (01:44):
There's I know, I have so many things that I
have to tell you.
Speaker 2 (01:47):
Still, Okay, well, we got plenty of hours. Do you
want to start with anything now?
Speaker 1 (01:53):
No, I'm going to hold on to it because I
need to actually get so it's a working part.
Speaker 2 (01:57):
So one of the things that we should talk about
with every going back to school and if you're up
now and there listening to this, let me know about it.
Reach out somehow. You can do a talk back in
the iHeart radio app. You can call us. But I
think every student has a secret superhero student power, like
something they can pull off, and it's a it's a
(02:19):
secret power of being a student or in class, for example,
can you lean back in your chair just far enough
to not fall and hurt your head? Like I was
great at that. It's chair acrobatics. I was really good
at leaning back in my chair and kind of measuring
when it was too far and too much to be
called out on it, Like there's a there's a balance
you gotta be that's a secret power. You gotta be
(02:39):
very careful how much you do it, when you do it,
how far you go.
Speaker 3 (02:42):
Right, you're the person that sits down on the plane
and reclines or seat immediately before the plane even takes off.
Speaker 2 (02:47):
Let's go somewhere, let's go, let's go somewhere out at all.
Speaker 1 (02:53):
I never do either.
Speaker 2 (02:54):
I almost went pro with the lean backs in school.
I almost now.
Speaker 1 (02:59):
Or it's just like one arms behind behind the chair,
but the other ones like this and you're leaning back.
Speaker 2 (03:03):
And we had those blue chairs with two holes in
a back or three holes in yea.
Speaker 1 (03:06):
I would always get stuck in those.
Speaker 2 (03:08):
It was annoying. Secret class superpower. We'll reach out and
let us know about that, all right, So partly sunny
warm highs in the mid eighties, upper nineties Inland. It's
real heat. Tuesday, August swelth, Sisney and Tanya along with you.
Welcome back to your routine if you're headed back to
school today and getting ready for it this week. We
(03:28):
were talking about back to school things a second ago.
I wonder what your back to school superpower was. I
mean the back room mine was one of mine was
leaning back in the chair, knowing exactly when to do
it when the teacher wasn't looking, and not going too
far back, but far enough to make it look kind
of fun. Any superpowers in the classroom in the back room.
Speaker 1 (03:47):
I don't remember any.
Speaker 2 (03:49):
No, I'll give you another one. There's another one, Sisney tiny.
It was very good eating a Pringle chip, eating chips
without anybody hearing me. I could silently eat Pringles chips
in class.
Speaker 3 (04:03):
I made homemade cakes for all my teachers.
Speaker 2 (04:07):
That's a secret power. Well, I guess it is. You're chising,
so you're trying to you're you're contrivedly charming them. It
wasn't contrived.
Speaker 3 (04:16):
If it was their brow, just bring it. If it
was like their birthday, I would make them a homemade
like out of the box, remember those like they still
have them, but like I would make those like yellow
cakes with the chocolate frosts.
Speaker 2 (04:25):
Those are so good. And you didn't expect anything in return.
Speaker 1 (04:28):
No, no, no, no no, the prinle trick.
Speaker 2 (04:31):
Get them in your mouth, out of the can. No bag,
don't have the sound of the bag. The can right
open the can. You put them on your tongue. Let
them get soggy inside your mouth. You don't need your
teeth to chew a soggy thing. Yeah, you know your thing.
This is super power.
Speaker 1 (04:47):
I love it.
Speaker 2 (04:48):
All right, shall we tell me something good now? Let's
do it, trying to get you started off with the
right to vibrations right right, the wave links this morning,
some good news, some good framework to work from, Sydney,
tell me anything on your mind? Good.
Speaker 1 (05:05):
Yesterday I spent probably like an hour deep pilling my couch.
Speaker 3 (05:11):
I just bought one of those on Amazon.
Speaker 1 (05:16):
Literally, I wonder if we got the same one.
Speaker 3 (05:18):
Is it like blue?
Speaker 1 (05:20):
Mine's white? And it's like electric and so it's like
it's almost like a vacuum and it just gets all
the little balls that get onto the couch. And after
you're done it is I'm going to send you, guys
a picture of how much came out.
Speaker 3 (05:33):
Yes, send me.
Speaker 2 (05:34):
It's such an accomplishment when you feel something like that,
isn't it something? I don't know why it's such a
big deal.
Speaker 1 (05:40):
It is Michael go home from work and it was
a bag, babe, Like in the couch. It looks great.
Speaker 2 (05:47):
Yeah, but when you do it yourself, there's a sense
of real achievement. Yes, tell me something good.
Speaker 3 (05:52):
So yesterday, unbeknownst to me, my best friend Becka and
I ended up having hair appointments at We have the
same hair girl at the exact same time, so I
got to spend my entire hair appointment next to my
best friend.
Speaker 2 (06:09):
That is the universe isn't that special? The strength of
the might have been that moon. I think that moon
has been powerful. I'm gonna tell you something good about it.
I've seen it. The whatever moon we've been experiencing has
been like an oil painting. Yeah, it makes things feel better.
And then I don't started asking myself chat rs. Does
(06:30):
the moon move faster than the sun? Does the moon
rise move faster than the sun set? Because it seems
like the moon rise was rising faster than the sun
was setting. Yeah, now it must be the earth spinning
at the same Is it true or not because you're
the same, I don't know, but it does.
Speaker 3 (06:45):
I get what you're saying. The moon has been like
very outlat been.
Speaker 2 (06:49):
It's been telling you things. It's been trying to suddenly
tell you something. That sturgeon moon. I love a sturgeon moon.
If you ever tell me something good, you can reach
out to us. Eight hundred five two I want to
two seven. Also, the talkback is real easy way inside
the eye radio. Use that mic. By the way. The
Jonas Brothers they're starting the Walk of Fame as at
Hollywood and Sycamore. How do I know Because there's a
(07:10):
buffalo wild wings right there. That's my cheap. Buffalo Wings
are my cheap.
Speaker 3 (07:15):
Their new album is so good.
Speaker 2 (07:20):
There's just gonna be the Jonah there's I mean, the
Jonas brothers, even when they are great grandfathers, they will
be the Jonas brothers. Like now you know, like I
don't think it's like the new kids on the block.
I hope they do. How do the new kids on
the Blox kids? They gotta be getting up to teenage
years right, or maybe even older. I don't know, but
at some point they're still the new kids on the
(07:42):
block to me. And they could be grandfathers at some
point and I still look at them the same way.
The Jonas brothers are the new kids of the new
kids on the block.
Speaker 1 (07:49):
Sure, I mean, or like in Sync or Backstreet Boys.
Speaker 2 (07:53):
I just don't think they In my head, it's like
my sister right, same thing. I don't see her any
older than twenty like her. When I look at her,
I see her always as a kid to me. Yeah,
is speaking of the Backstreet Boys? Yes, what happened? You
went to go see him at the ear?
Speaker 1 (08:11):
I saw him at this fear so excited. And the
show is phenomenal.
Speaker 2 (08:18):
Okay, it is Friday.
Speaker 1 (08:19):
It's GiB blows you away. I don't I can show
you video, but I just feel like it'll give it
I give it away. You need to just go experience
it for yourself.
Speaker 3 (08:28):
I've seen all the video, but I hear it's better
in person.
Speaker 1 (08:30):
But the minute the show starts. It feels like you're
on a ride at Disneyland, Like it's just like wa
and like you're just you feel like emotions. It's kind
of hard to describe, however, if you are someone that
is prone to motion sickness. Me, I didn't think I
was as bad. And I don't think that the drinking
(08:53):
at Tiesto at Live Beach during the day and the
massive Italian before the show too.
Speaker 2 (09:03):
Your turnaround time while you shower recovers you. You're fine.
You know, it's like the shower turn around gets you.
You're fine. So that's what happened.
Speaker 1 (09:12):
I got very sick towards the end, like this is
my biggest fear. Yes, like I fear my biggest spearp
I know. But it wasn't because of I guess it
was because of the show. But it wasn't because of
the show. Wasn't there like performance. It was just like
all the lights and like we were like front center
(09:33):
but not on the floor, but we were at the
We were just in it. And so so do.
Speaker 2 (09:38):
You ever get carsick? Do you ever get the boats?
Speaker 4 (09:43):
You do?
Speaker 2 (09:44):
You're my mom?
Speaker 1 (09:45):
Yeah, a little kid.
Speaker 2 (09:48):
That's what my mom is. Like I thought it was
a scam back when I was a little kid to
get the front seat. That's what I think. So she's
making a move here to get the passenger seat and
off the back seat. Then, oh she actually does have
you know, well, the way I drive, if she really
has motion sickness, it's just right. I start and then
I break, and I go fast and I break. I
do that kind of a thing, Tony, Have you always
had motion sickness?
Speaker 5 (10:09):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (10:09):
But I'm going to see Backtory Boys on Friday, and
now I'm like feel like I should take something before,
like some sort of dramamine or something.
Speaker 1 (10:16):
No, but you don't want to be drowsy.
Speaker 2 (10:18):
Yeah, I so be warned. If you're going to this
fear about that, they must warn you. But I think
the power above didn't make me tall, obviously, I don't
think I know, but gave me no motion sickness. So
I am grateful.
Speaker 1 (10:32):
Okay, is nothing to do with it.
Speaker 2 (10:33):
I'm I'm saying, whatever you believe in the higher power,
I think the higher power makes choices for you.
Speaker 3 (10:42):
Like he's sure he doesn't get motion sick that's right.
Speaker 2 (10:46):
I don't think that power was going to double down
on short and motion sickness. That would have been like mean, yeah,
follow me on this. I follow you now, Like, so
what what what did the power that you God, whatever
you believe in, right wherever God you believe in, or
or speed or karma, that power that you believe in.
What did they give you as a So it gave
you motion sickness? What did they give you?
Speaker 1 (11:06):
They gave me my twins?
Speaker 2 (11:08):
There you have it? See Tanya, what about you my husband?
Or do you have it all? But I think Mark
had a car.
Speaker 1 (11:23):
I had gone through such a journey before, and then
I was blessed with two yes.
Speaker 2 (11:27):
Yes, that that I was not lost on me. I
think Mark want to include that. Toney, what was the
trade for you? What do you think my husband? But
what did you not get? Because you got Robbie, I.
Speaker 3 (11:41):
Got that, I get motion sickness.
Speaker 2 (11:43):
Yeah that makes sense. All right, Let's see. Here's the thing.
Speaking to Mark, our producer when we're away. So we
had a little summer vacation last week. When we're away,
I think if I send him more messages of things
we should do on the show than when we're doing
the show. Particular, I was very actively turned the holiday right.
Speaker 3 (12:02):
I loved it.
Speaker 2 (12:04):
I got more time to read pop in and all
kinds of articles in and out and halftime. I don't
read the article. I read the headline, say, Mark, read
this is this good idea? Anyway? This one I did read.
You know every says you get your ten thousand steps?
Did you get your ten thousand steps in? No?
Speaker 6 (12:20):
No?
Speaker 2 (12:20):
No, yes, yes, yes. They're marking their steps. They're counting
their steps. Now, ten thousand is not the real number.
That was a marketing number.
Speaker 3 (12:26):
What is it?
Speaker 2 (12:27):
Thousands? I'm gonna tell you coming up.
Speaker 1 (12:29):
No, I hope it's less.
Speaker 2 (12:30):
Mark knows because I sent him the text. Our break
partly sunny today, warm eighties and upper nineties Inland. We
got this second date update coming up in a second.
They met at hard summer at the festival and she
lost something, he found it. They hit it off. It
sounds like fate, but now it's cool little bit since
so we'll do that in a few minutes. I got
the fire and bucks and back to school cash in
the second two. You know, we were away last week,
(12:52):
and it's so interesting when I sit with my friends
and have time to be curious with them. I asked
them questions, especially my I read friends, and somebody at
the table was talking about, you know, they're so happily.
This is going on and on about how happy they
are together they are, and of course thenybody says, why
are you doing it? And I get into that whole
thing with everybody, and it's like they feel like when
I'm a vacation they could really ask me about that.
Speaker 1 (13:14):
Yeah, the wine's flowing like all right.
Speaker 2 (13:18):
So anyway, then someone, my other buddy, chimes in. He says,
you know what they say. I said what he says,
All your relationships are going to fail except the last one.
Are you in your last one?
Speaker 1 (13:29):
Wow?
Speaker 2 (13:29):
And asked that to the table obviously, but think about that.
That's true. You're all gonna fil with the last one,
which is a simple way of putting it. But you
only think that way when you're going through it, right.
So it was one of the things that happened during our.
Speaker 1 (13:44):
Why are you bringing this up?
Speaker 3 (13:45):
Yeah, so you have something.
Speaker 1 (13:49):
Or after you were doing that underwater resistance weight training.
Speaker 2 (13:53):
What do you call that? Well, that's my aqua aerobics
workout that I was trying to im trying to get creative,
all right now, I posted this workout with the dumbbells
in the ocean, right, and Dodd who coaches me right,
helps me with the training. It's amazing. Guy Dodd in
(14:16):
the FaceTime in the picture exactly, he's well, he's not there,
he's on FaceTime, but he's there to make sure I
don't drown, so he can call somebody if I do. Anyway,
the point is you go. You'll go under water and
use the resistance of the water and the weights and
it's just so fun and creative. I got so bored
during exercise this summer that wanted to do something differentide
(14:39):
and in the water and all that stuff. When it's hot,
with hot you, I don't feel great in real heat
working out without being in water. So that was what
I tried, and I really enjoyed it. It's hard, but
I really enjoyed and I love being in the water.
But I started looking at the things and so someone
said to me after in the comments afterwards, then I said,
why do I post this stuff?
Speaker 7 (14:58):
You know?
Speaker 4 (14:58):
Why?
Speaker 1 (14:58):
Why why just post it? Don't have that was a
cringe mentality, like you need to just like post what
you want to post.
Speaker 2 (15:06):
The comment that stood out was, hey, why do you
shave your armpits.
Speaker 1 (15:10):
You shave your arm pits.
Speaker 3 (15:11):
Oh, I didn't even notice you didn't have hair under them.
Speaker 2 (15:14):
I do maintain my arm pits. I thought everybody did.
Speaker 1 (15:17):
Yeah, you never.
Speaker 2 (15:19):
You don't like to have like the spider looking. I
don't like hair hanging out from your armpits. I thought
men did do that, like hair. I thought we trimmed
our underarm hair. Do your men not? Does your do that?
Speaker 1 (15:33):
I think he prayed he likes them, but like I
don't think hectually think he does. But I keep him
pretty smooth though, but they're not very bushy.
Speaker 2 (15:42):
Yeah. I just don't like. I just don't like lie
of hair. And what's the issue, Tanya?
Speaker 3 (15:46):
Uh No, No, a zero issue. I think you look
so good. You should be so proud. Don't listen to
the haters. Look at your arms. Your legs look insane.
Speaker 2 (15:56):
Look at that.
Speaker 1 (15:58):
How do you look like a like a.
Speaker 3 (16:00):
Bona fide Olympic athlete in this?
Speaker 2 (16:04):
Oh there's a stretch, But thank you.
Speaker 3 (16:06):
I don't think I got it.
Speaker 2 (16:08):
I wasn't sure I survived that day to post it.
I mean it was the hardest thing.
Speaker 1 (16:13):
Oh, this was just one day.
Speaker 2 (16:15):
That was one day. That was one work.
Speaker 3 (16:17):
I'm also like, so impressed that you got underwater video? Like,
how did you get underwater video?
Speaker 1 (16:22):
You can take your phone underwater? They're all waterproof and
it can No, I take mine underwater all the time.
It's so scared. Three years old, my filone.
Speaker 2 (16:32):
Still works chat with a go pro.
Speaker 1 (16:35):
Now, so if this wasn't your trainer filming you, who
was filming you?
Speaker 2 (16:39):
No? No, we have friend filming. Yeah, you got friend
that's got a go pro. You everybody's friend. Everybody's creating
content these days. Yeah, so I have a content creating friends.
Speaker 1 (16:48):
Seem on your shorts.
Speaker 2 (16:50):
Yeah, I had short shorts on.
Speaker 1 (16:51):
I thought I would say three, Oh really and.
Speaker 2 (16:54):
Their leopard aren't they leopard print? Yeah? I like that.
Speaker 1 (16:57):
Maxim has a pair of those.
Speaker 2 (16:59):
It was one of those things where I didn't really
notice that until I noticed it, and it was too late.
Once I noticed they were too short and they were
an animal print.
Speaker 1 (17:06):
I like it.
Speaker 3 (17:07):
I think you'd get better results if you did it
in a speedo.
Speaker 2 (17:11):
Why are you pushing me? I thought I pushed it
a limit in that workout. Now it's not good enough.
Speaker 3 (17:15):
For no, no, no, because I feel like you have a
lot of like as I see you doing the squads
and stuff. There's a lot of material just like floating around.
I feel like if you were in a speed on
it was just like tight. It might just be easier
for you.
Speaker 2 (17:25):
Well, sisten, if history repeats itself, guess who's gonna buy
me one is a gift and her husband?
Speaker 1 (17:29):
Yeah, there you go the idea. There you go, monogram
it for you gif yeah, yeah, get it.
Speaker 2 (17:36):
Get your husband in the same speed o, red Rye,
We'll do a partner underwater aqua aerobic weightlifting workout.
Speaker 3 (17:43):
It's actually a great idea. Speedo.
Speaker 1 (17:45):
Oh my god.
Speaker 2 (17:46):
Let's get to this second date update. What is the
point of the second date update? It is to find
out why you got ghosted, to give you a little
piece of mind. I think both Ryan's Roses and the
second ad update the mission is peace of mind for
both those, isn't it?
Speaker 1 (18:03):
It sure is.
Speaker 2 (18:04):
The mission is to stop spiraling and just to settle
it and have a conclusion. That's what the mission rat.
Here's the story for this second date update. Out of Torrents.
It's Keith who reached out to us. So Keith he
went to Hard Summer the Festival Music festival and he
found a phone. Then you find a phone, and you
know how bad that other person's missing the phone, so
you feel responsible. I hope to try and find the
(18:26):
owner of the phone. So he took it. He put
it in the Lost and Found all right, finds the phone,
gives it to the right department, the Lost and Found
the department. Keith, I brought you on the air. Now,
how are you? I'm all right, how are you doing good?
So how did she what is her name? Kate? Kate?
(18:46):
So tell me what happened from the moment you took
the phone to the Lost and Found.
Speaker 7 (18:50):
Well, I found the.
Speaker 5 (18:51):
Phone in the pit, so I brought it and she
was just right there asking if anyone has found her phone,
and so I was like, maybe it's this and gave
it to her. It was hers, obviously, and after that
she was super grateful and just insisted on buying me
a drink to thank me. So I was like, all right,
you know, she's really pretty and why not. So the
(19:12):
god drinks and ended up watching a bunch of the
bands together and then we just really hit it off.
The exchange numbers and then when I texted her to
go out later, she passed, which was which was weird?
Speaker 2 (19:28):
Yeah? Passed? What did she say?
Speaker 5 (19:34):
She just didn't respond, and I know she had seen it.
I was I was left on red And uh, I
thought that was pretty weird. I mean, uh, can I
tell you a little more. I listen, I haven't been
in a relationship in a while, and I haven't really
(19:55):
met anyone that I was like excited about and forever.
So when I saw her lost and down over by
the lagoon, I mean I was a goner. Okay, we
both kind of broke off from our own group of
friends that we were there with and just spent the
day together.
Speaker 2 (20:10):
Like this is a move, I was. That's what I
was wondering. Don't you go with friends and then you
gotta bail on friends to spend time with her and
then now for what right and the end be in
a relationship. So you were very hopeful. I also think
in that moment, when you find her phone, she finds you,
you give her phone. That's the story of great marriages,
that's the story of great relationship. Sure, that's how they.
Speaker 1 (20:31):
Starts a beautiful love story.
Speaker 2 (20:33):
Random line. Yeah, acts like that, that's how they start.
Speaker 5 (20:38):
I kind of I didn't want to say that, but
I felt like that, you know, inside, I just you
don't want to verbalize it in case it sounds you know, yeah,
but it felt like.
Speaker 2 (20:49):
So, Keith, can you tell us about the text? What
exactly did she say to quote pass?
Speaker 5 (20:56):
So I texted her again the next day. I said, yeah,
I said to her, I can't wait to see you again.
And so I just got no response at all. And
so I text her again a day later and I said,
can I take you out on Friday night? And she said,
hold on, I have it here. Thank you for asking,
but I'm going to pass. I had a great time
(21:17):
with you on Sunday, but I don't wish to pursue
things further.
Speaker 2 (21:21):
I'm best get out. This is really clear and kind
of nice. Why call her and push further?
Speaker 5 (21:33):
Right, Well, it's just so formal. I was devastated by that.
I mean, I got to know what happened. Man, I
kind of buried the lead there. I told her she passed.
She did first, but this is I'm almost embarrassed about it.
You know, like.
Speaker 1 (21:48):
That response, did you feel like she was someone that's
like out of your league or did you feel equal
to her?
Speaker 5 (21:57):
Honestly, I felt like we clicked like a kiss that
day we sent it. We were holding hands, we were dancing.
It was it felt legit. I thought, I thought, this
is something real. Like I said, we left our friends
from the day and they were chilling at it that
which is cool, But I I wouldn't do that for anyone.
You know, this was a real chemistry.
Speaker 2 (22:17):
And yeah, I was, kay Keithy, we got enough information.
We're gonna put you on hold. I see, we have
her number to call here. Next we will call her,
put her on the air. We'll talk to her with
you listening in to see what we can find out
as to why she passed so politely here, because I've
I'm hanging for one second, don't you think? I think?
I think that the best relationships, the most successful relationships,
(22:41):
are those where each person feels like they're with someone
out of their lead. For sure, you want to feel
and you want them to feel like that. That's the
reason great equation.
Speaker 1 (22:52):
The reason I asked him that is because I feel
as if maybe she had beer goggles on and so
was all fun in the moment, like and then afterwards
when she looked back on her pictures on her phone,
that they maybe took and she's like, whoa, I do
not want to see this guy again.
Speaker 2 (23:08):
Who knows? We're gonna put Kate on to talk to her, like, Keith,
listen in for a second date. Update. Now this is
the moment of impact. So, Keith, we got Kate. Ain't tight,
don't say anything. Let's see we can find out about
why you met her at Hard Summer, the music festival.
You found her phone, got it back to her, She
asked you for a drink, and then you asked her
(23:30):
out and she blew you off? Like why she was
into you there and then not after right, that's the net,
Keathi there? Okay, hold on here, here we go. We're
bringing on Hey Kate. Ryan seacrests listening, Tanya, how are
you're on the Kiss FM?
Speaker 1 (23:47):
Hi?
Speaker 2 (23:49):
Good morning, thank you for jumping on with us. Here
I will get right into the reason for our call.
How was the festival? How was Hard Summer?
Speaker 4 (24:00):
Oh? It was fantastic.
Speaker 2 (24:02):
Why well, it turns out that we heard the story
about you losing your phone. I'm glad you got it
back right. The universe helped you out there. How'd you
get your phone back at the festival?
Speaker 4 (24:15):
Oh? Well, I actually met this guy that found it
for me.
Speaker 1 (24:20):
Nice.
Speaker 2 (24:21):
Yeah, well tell me about the guy. What a generous guy,
kind guy.
Speaker 4 (24:27):
Yeah, yeah, he was super cool at first, and we
wound up spending the majority of the day together and
you know, walking around and enjoying the rest of this festival.
Speaker 2 (24:40):
That's nice, fine.
Speaker 4 (24:43):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, my phone was totally Okay, Tanya.
Speaker 2 (24:46):
And Csany both lit up when you said at first,
I saw their eyes open up and I heard it.
What happened? What happened between that first and then after first?
This guy?
Speaker 1 (24:56):
Oh okay, So.
Speaker 4 (24:59):
We are spending you know, most of day together, and
then you know, you're like making small talk between bands
and whatever, and he starts scrolling on his phone and
we're just checking Instagram and he wants to show me
his friend's Instagram post. And then you know how sometimes
like after you scroll past the post and ad will
pop up on Instagram. Yeah, yes, so an ad came
(25:26):
up and it was like a woman bending over like
basically softcore.
Speaker 2 (25:34):
Wow, Okay, I understood, all right, And so that made
you run Yeah, got it, got it, got it, got it. Otherwise,
had that not happened, you would have been into a
second opportunity or date with him.
Speaker 4 (25:52):
Yeah, I mean like he was fun and we had
a lot in common. So yeah, all.
Speaker 2 (25:57):
Right, Well here's the good news. We're gonna find out
right now why that happened on Keith's phone. Keith is here, Keith,
what's your reaction to what Kate saw?
Speaker 5 (26:08):
Hey, listen, I know that sounds crazy, but I was
embarrassed and that happened. It's not what you think. I'm
not like Listen, I just want to know if something
really happened, because the day was perfect. I just I
can't stop thinking about you the video. Yeah, that's that's
not me. Okay.
Speaker 4 (26:30):
Well I knew that you weren't going to take no
for an answer, But you know why those ads happen,
Like the ads happen because they're related to what you're
watching and looking up like it's an algorithm. Ud.
Speaker 5 (26:45):
Okay, I get that, but I promised you that that
is not me. That like, it's really not and I
don't want.
Speaker 2 (26:51):
You to get Okay, here's the question. We have an ic,
we have a real ck. The question is do you
look past this first, I, Kate, or is it a
deal breaker? Let's just simplify it to that, because it
really is all the boxes seem to be all checked,
but the one ick. Can you get past the ick
to see if there's more to the story or is
it a deal breaker?
Speaker 4 (27:10):
Kke I need time to think about it. You guys,
I said.
Speaker 2 (27:17):
The door is open, Keeth, Is there anything you'd like
to say while she thinks about it? Here, we'll let
you all go here, But while she thinks about this.
Speaker 5 (27:25):
Yeah, I just want you to know that I'm a decent, normal,
good guy, and I want to give you the opportunity
to see that. I'm sorry you got thrown by that video,
but I promise you that is not indicative of me
at all, and I really want the chance to show
you that I am a normal, good dude and I
I would love to see you again.
Speaker 3 (27:43):
Your algorithm is very indicative of you. Though.
Speaker 5 (27:47):
Sorry, I don't know what to say. It's I promise you,
I'm not looking at weird stuff all day.
Speaker 2 (27:53):
It just it happens like what.
Speaker 1 (27:56):
Would you have been looking at for an ad like
that to pop up?
Speaker 2 (28:00):
And that maybe that maybe people heard him, the people
inside the phone, you know, the phones hearing you talking
about something. Sure, we're gonna let you both go, but Kate,
I mean maybe the door is open, but if it's
too much, then you move on. I understand you said
up a very polite text to say that you were
passing Keith. There you got. That's the story. We're gonna
(28:22):
let you guys work it out or not. Appreciate you
reaching out, Keith.
Speaker 5 (28:26):
I thank you for your help.
Speaker 2 (28:29):
Thank you, Kate, have a great day.
Speaker 1 (28:30):
I don't even know you could get ads like that
on Instagram.
Speaker 3 (28:33):
Oh sure you can get all kinds of ads on it's.
Speaker 2 (28:35):
My add good news. You didn't know that.
Speaker 1 (28:37):
I guess it's a good news. But like I like,
my ads are like, oh, look at this waterproof tote
that you can take to the beach, Like.
Speaker 2 (28:44):
Yeah, suh like trying that least to me, that'd be
a deal breaker for me. That total seacrest with you
and back to school all month. L A U SD.
You got the last few hours of your summer break.
What are you gonna do with it? I want to
know what are you gonna do with your past few
hours of summer break? Love to hear that reach out
to us eight hundred and five to one to two seven.
(29:05):
Want to know what you would do for me? I remember,
I remember it like it was yesterday. Mom would say,
time to go to Marshalls and the Olive Garden for
back to school Husky jeans and olive garden. It was
on the same shopping center the best.
Speaker 1 (29:18):
I love the Marshals. Just went there to get the
kid's shoes. The other day.
Speaker 2 (29:23):
I had mixed feelings because of the husky size, and
so that was a whole you know, I tell a
story every year. There's a whole mental issue for me,
the husky size.
Speaker 1 (29:31):
Well look where you are now, Yeah, look at the ski.
No more underwater training.
Speaker 2 (29:39):
Oh the Olive cortin though that shopping center at all
You got Marshals, Macaroni Grill and the Olive Garden all
on one shopping I love it.
Speaker 1 (29:45):
That's like the shopping center in Burbank where you have
the Target, the Olive Garden Atillies. What else is over there?
TJ Max or I don't even know, but it's a
main North From's rack. Like, that's a good shopping center over.
Speaker 2 (29:56):
There, stop shop and stuff.
Speaker 1 (29:58):
It's been all day.
Speaker 2 (29:59):
Your Maggie's on the phone, listen, so I MA need
some help on this one. So everybody's married around here. Oh,
everybody chime in.
Speaker 1 (30:09):
Yeah, I have a question as to when the date
was set.
Speaker 2 (30:12):
Let me bring everybody up to speeding. So, Maggie, Hello, Hi,
how are you, Maggie?
Speaker 7 (30:17):
I'm good? How are you?
Speaker 2 (30:19):
We are well. I want to try and understand this. So,
your sister's wedding is a few days before your due
date and she's having a destination wedding. Is that right?
Speaker 7 (30:27):
Exactly exactly? It's a few hours up north in Santa Cruz.
Speaker 2 (30:32):
And what's your feeling about all this?
Speaker 7 (30:36):
I mean, I just feel too nervous to go because
it's so close to my do date, and I just
I really don't want to go into labor and end
up delivering in some like random hospital far away from
my doctor, you know, my people, my support system, my
birth plan. That she is dead set on this and
(30:56):
not hearing it.
Speaker 2 (30:58):
All right, So pregnancy not nine months right, so we
know the math there. How did the math of the
destination wedding get set? Well?
Speaker 7 (31:07):
I mean I told her from the moment I found
out I was pregnant. I told her, and she locked
in her wedding date. And you know, we all knew
this would be cutting it close. So I told her
back then that I'd do my best to be there,
but you know, there's always like a real risk I
wouldn't be able to travel.
Speaker 2 (31:26):
So could she have I'm just saying, would she have
moved it upwards?
Speaker 1 (31:29):
Well, that's what I'm saying. So you were pregnant first,
you were pregnant before.
Speaker 3 (31:32):
She picked it day?
Speaker 7 (31:34):
Yes, absolutely, And I told her like right away, okay,
so what's better?
Speaker 2 (31:40):
We should she have moved it up or push it back?
Speaker 1 (31:43):
Moved it up?
Speaker 7 (31:44):
Yeah, yeah, probably moved it up. I would, I would say,
just because you just never know, and it's it really
is a risk because you just don't know what's happened.
Speaker 2 (31:52):
But usually is do you date window in the wedding?
Speaker 7 (31:57):
I mean it's like basically the same week.
Speaker 1 (32:00):
Oh is this your first baby?
Speaker 7 (32:03):
Yeah, this is my first baby, so we don't know.
I don't have any like track record to go buy,
you know what I mean.
Speaker 3 (32:10):
I kind of miss the wedding.
Speaker 1 (32:11):
You don't have to miss the wedding. You have to
use a destination. I was picturing like Italy like this
is doable, this is Norcow like this is fine. No,
I oh this this wasn't like the same week for me.
But because I was having twins. We didn't know when
they were gonna come, and they could come, and they
obviously came early, like four weeks early. But I flew
to New York to fill in for Kelly Rippa with
(32:34):
Ryan and I was thirty two weeks pregnant. And what
we did with my doctor, she helped me find hospital
in New York and a doctor that I would if
I were to go into labor. I had a backup
plan basically, so you could.
Speaker 2 (32:49):
Your sister in her story, I'm I'm your sister in her.
Speaker 1 (32:52):
Story, you could do the same thing. You could find
a great hospital up there, like you know, just have
the backup plan. If you do go into labor, it's fine.
Speaker 3 (33:00):
But what if she doesn't want to backup plan and
she wants to do her birth plan.
Speaker 1 (33:03):
Nobody gets their birth plan. Well that's not what right?
Speaker 2 (33:09):
Yeah, but I think just back down on Now you're
going to regret.
Speaker 1 (33:12):
Missing your sister's wedding, and then the wedding's going to pass.
The wedding's gonna pass, and you're still gonna be pregnant,
and you'll be like, totally could have gone.
Speaker 2 (33:19):
Can she move the date? Is there any possibility or is.
Speaker 7 (33:21):
It oh no, oh no, the date is not movable.
I have tried.
Speaker 2 (33:27):
Well, then there are two clear choices, as Sisney said,
either have the backup plan or you miss it. Life
goes on and exciting for you.
Speaker 1 (33:35):
Yeah, thank you, boy or a girl.
Speaker 7 (33:40):
I actually don't know. Well, we're going to be surprised
that some risk.
Speaker 1 (33:46):
No, that's really exciting. Wow. If I were to have
another one, which I'm not, I would do it that way.
I would not find out until they were born.
Speaker 2 (33:54):
Yeah. Well, thank you, Maggie. I think we got to
this one. I think we got a good conclusion and
good luck. Congratulations on your first you take good care.
Thanks for your help, all right, you too, I mean yes,
you think you for your help. By I did help
us because Susney told that story. I remember that day
so well. When you came, it was the whole the
(34:15):
whole host chat for the beginning of the show was
about this could happen at any moment on live television,
and here.
Speaker 1 (34:21):
I am, uh huh, and I had to do. I
had a walk on the plane every hour so that
my legs wouldn't tighten up like there was a whole thing.
Speaker 2 (34:28):
My sister had to come with he was so grateful.
She was so grateful, and you did that grateful. We
will play a little game for Jonah's Brothers tickets. What
do you think about this? Jonah's Brothers song or K
Pop Demon Hunter? What do you got?
Speaker 1 (34:43):
K Pop Demon Hunters?
Speaker 2 (34:45):
Jonah's Brother's Gonna Hunting? Anybody watched The Hunting Wives yet?
Speaker 1 (34:48):
Yes? I binged that in like two days.
Speaker 2 (34:52):
So I started it last night. I'm so jealous. Just
started it.
Speaker 1 (34:57):
You're gonna like it?
Speaker 2 (34:59):
Am I?
Speaker 7 (35:00):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (35:00):
You will, can't tell I finished the first one? I
love Malin Akerman? Is that? And also? Is it Britney Snow?
I'm not well. I hadn't seen him in a minute.
I like seeing him right.
Speaker 1 (35:11):
Last heard Britney Snow is when she was dating the
guy from the Real Estate Show and then they remember
the bad Yikes.
Speaker 2 (35:21):
It was one at the end of my first episode.
So those are always sort of set in the scene.
Am I going for two? All my friends my friend
keeps telling me, you gotta watch this, you gotta watch this.
You go? So there I went. I got through one. Yeah,
do you want any I should go to two?
Speaker 1 (35:36):
You'll like it.
Speaker 2 (35:39):
I roll your eyes when.
Speaker 1 (35:40):
You said I can't, can't explain on the air, Wyle like, I.
Speaker 3 (35:47):
Love your The Hunting Wives, but this is Taylor Swift moment.
Speaker 1 (35:51):
Oh right, wow, we all know she has her album
coming out. This is such big news.
Speaker 2 (35:59):
News. Yeah, are you wearing? Are you wearing orange to sell?
To commemorate this news.
Speaker 1 (36:04):
Between Look at the difference between us two wearing our
orange today.
Speaker 3 (36:07):
By the way, I'm going.
Speaker 2 (36:08):
To have an orange on your shirt or your sweatshirt. No,
Anya has a has a great dress.
Speaker 1 (36:14):
Wow, thank you?
Speaker 2 (36:15):
So so dresser a jumpsuit.
Speaker 3 (36:17):
It's a full on dress. It's like a Maxie dress.
Speaker 2 (36:19):
It's actually quite nice, beautiful.
Speaker 3 (36:21):
I didn't have any orange in my closet. So she
last night, all right, all right?
Speaker 2 (36:27):
So she got all dressed up in her orange to commemorate.
This is big news. What do you know?
Speaker 3 (36:31):
Because August twelfth, which is today, at twelve twelve a m.
We learned that Taylor Swift's twelfth studio album is going
to be titled The Life of a Showgirl and the
new era color is orange. So I'm sure we're going
to get more info. The official release date has not
been announced, but pre orders are available, with shipments expected
(36:53):
before October thirteenth, so some people are guessing maybe uh,
nine twelve or ten twelve as the rest day. Also,
I want to just point out she's on her boyfriend
Travis Kelsey's podcast that's coming out tomorrow at four pm
Pacific time, so I'm sure we're gonna get a lot
(37:14):
of information from that. But I wanted to talk about
the Easter eggs. So on December eighth, twenty twenty four,
when she ended the Eras tour, she said she had
orange fireworks and the orange stage and she left through.
Speaker 1 (37:25):
The orange door.
Speaker 2 (37:26):
On the screens orange, you glad you made it?
Speaker 3 (37:30):
Yes?
Speaker 1 (37:31):
I know, thought back then, what's up up with all
the orange?
Speaker 2 (37:34):
No?
Speaker 3 (37:35):
And then and then so people are also saying this
album is going to be very much Travis Kelsey inspired,
but the color orange is coming from the mix of
red and yellow, which are the colors of the Kansas
City chiefs.
Speaker 2 (37:51):
Ah, how is she that? Clever? Okay?
Speaker 1 (37:53):
How are how are we?
Speaker 3 (37:55):
And then and then I think I don't know the
answer to this, But all of Taylor's albums are usually
one word reputation, red, lover, fearless, Midnight's folklore. Evermore so
recently we got the Tortured Poets Department, this one is
the Life of a Showgirl, Like, what does the mean
is it supposed to be? There's something there that like
(38:15):
I can't quite ride.
Speaker 1 (38:16):
I mean, I'm not getting tortured vibes with the Life
of a show Girl. I feel like it's going to
be upbeat.
Speaker 3 (38:21):
Well, the Tortured Poet's Department was like mostly about Matty
Healy and that whole thing, So I feel like with
this one being about Travis, it's gonna be very lovey,
upbeat happy.
Speaker 2 (38:30):
There is something exciting about the whole Travis scenario here
in this for me, they're saying about these songs being
about this happiness, this extreme happiness and peace right that
we're seeing this that you want to hear more about it.
Speaker 1 (38:44):
As ye, And that's what we're gonna get with this podcast,
is like the way he speaks to her when he
called her sweetie.
Speaker 3 (38:49):
And the way he looks at her.
Speaker 1 (38:51):
Yes, they're going to get all of that that we've
just been wanting this entire relationship.
Speaker 2 (38:55):
I don't think I should ever mean him why because
I have put him on such a pedestal. Oh yeah,
I think there's no doubt you know what I mean, Like,
in my mind he may be the greatest human man
on the planet, so if I meet him, I'm sure
you will be. But like you know, when you don't
want to meet someone because they're like.
Speaker 3 (39:13):
Don't meetes, I don't meet your hero. I met Sarajessica Parker.
She was a hero of mine and I met her
and she exceeded all expectations.
Speaker 1 (39:21):
So it can go either way.
Speaker 2 (39:23):
I'm sure he would, but there's part of it likes
not knowing him personally, but thinking about what it would
be like to spend time with him. For me, I
know it's about the album, but you know what I mean.
All Right, let's get some Orange Gina and toast. Who
can gets what's what's Orange Gina going for these days?
Let's get some. Let's raise our glasses, celebrate in the
orange and the Taylor Swift News very much tomorrow, Austin Butler,

commed What does his voice sound like? That's what I
want to talk. I just want to listen to him.
I know it's you, no, I have it's his voice.
I am so enamored by the guy's voice.
Speaker 1 (40:09):
Me too.
Speaker 2 (40:11):
It's one of his magic powers. His voice is so
if you are to AI the coolest voice smoothies Hans
talk speaking voice, it would be Austin Butler's voice, wouldn't it.
They just still have that Elvis Twain to it though.
That's question here. Yeah, tomorrow we hear him. He will
be here for you to hear. I'm very excited Austin
(40:32):

Speaker 2 (43:50):
Well, I mentioned this guy's on tomorrow. Superstar actor from
Elvis and other movies, Austin Butler discovered at the Orange
County Fair.
Speaker 1 (43:57):
Oh, that's so funny.
Speaker 2 (44:00):
Discovered at the O C Fair. From what I hear, I.
Speaker 1 (44:02):
Love that, Wow, because you know performances. I used to
dance there.
Speaker 2 (44:09):
You just been walking around. The guy was a good
looking dude, right, because they you should be famous.
Speaker 1 (44:12):
Well, we'll find out he'll be here.
Speaker 2 (44:15):
So anyway, here's the thing. So, Mark, we were on
vacation last week. I said, Mark, ideas different time zones. Whatever.
I don't know anybody. I don't know. Where were you
when I sent that.
Speaker 8 (44:25):
I think I was in New York when you sent that.
Speaker 2 (44:27):
Wow, how was new York?
Speaker 6 (44:28):
New York was great? Yeah, we did a family vacation
in New York. It was wonderful. What was the highlight
of going to New York City. We went and saw
the musical Death Becomes Her. We saw three musical my
favorite hysterical. It is so a lot.
Speaker 1 (44:43):
How do they do the circle in the stomach?
Speaker 8 (44:45):
They do it. I don't know how, but they do it.
Speaker 6 (44:47):
And Michelle Williams from Destiny's Child was in it. It
was great that you or the kids or my wife
did a lot of research as to what the popular
shows are, so we did that. We did Hell's Kitchen,
which is Alicia Keys' show, and then we did uh
and really great.
Speaker 1 (45:02):
Very cool.
Speaker 2 (45:03):
Isn't that a lot of hours for the kids to sit?
Speaker 6 (45:05):
Oh, that's all they wanted to do, go see musical.
Kids are like adults.
Speaker 2 (45:11):
I can I can't. I love theatre is the hardest
I think in all the entertainments. I can't sit through
three in one money.
Speaker 1 (45:17):
Don't you think you did it all one day? Well,
one week, one week is perfect. That's great.
Speaker 2 (45:22):
Did you need anything good? New York City's got great
restaurant We did a lot of Italian.
Speaker 6 (45:25):
We went to Little Italy. We're into Brooklyn, but it
was mostly Italian places and it was great.
Speaker 1 (45:30):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (45:30):
An Canoli's in Lily.
Speaker 6 (45:31):
You know, we did not have Cannol's because I cannot
tolerate those, and the kids went for the gelato instead.
Speaker 2 (45:38):
I love an There was a Canoli king down there
was a Canoli king anyway, let me get back to it. So,
while Mark was not liking Cannoli's kids having gelato in
the middle of a musical, I guess I sent him
a note saying, hey, you know we haus talk about
this on the air we come back, and he said, great,
got it. So it's about Halloween all year long. I mean,
this is Systaney, I tell you love it too. But
Sisney's I think favorite right up there with Christmas Holly
(46:00):
of the Year.
Speaker 1 (46:00):
I'm already putting together our Halloween costumes.
Speaker 2 (46:03):
I'm thinking it's starting October. Originally I creeped back after
Labor Day. Now it seems the second school is back,
it's time to start talking about Halloween. So theme parks
are jumping on this, and it makes a lot of sense.
Halloween Time at Disneyland is starting August twenty second, I
believe it.
Speaker 1 (46:21):
Yep.
Speaker 2 (46:22):
At Universal, the Halloween her Knights is starting September fourth,
Midsummer Scream in Long Beach, which started back in twenty sixteen.
Back to school for a lot of suits. So parents,
maybe got your kids off to school and you get
a breather. How's it going that first nine o'clock hour
of the first day of school for you?
Speaker 1 (46:37):
I mean, that's the parent's summer break.
Speaker 2 (46:41):
That's that's the parent's summer break. Nine o'clock hour when
the kids go back to exactly, did you ever run
out of act? Did you ever get a fit activity fatigue? Sysney?
This summer?
Speaker 1 (46:50):
Yes, I wanted to go to the Orange County Fair
and I was like, you know what, No, I'm over it.
Like we've done enough, deprived my children's of the OCO.
I was just like, we're not doing it. It's just
it's gonna be less fun for me.
Speaker 2 (47:06):
Well, I mentioned this guy's on tomorrow superstar actor from
Elvis and other movies, Austin Butler discovered at the Orange

Speaker 1 (47:12):
Oh, that's so funny.
Speaker 2 (47:15):

Speaker 2 (48:01):
They do it.
Speaker 8 (48:01):
I don't know how, but they do it.
Speaker 6 (48:02):

Well?
Speaker 2 (48:35):
One week?
Speaker 1 (48:36):
One week is perfect. That's great.
Speaker 2 (48:38):
Did get anything good?
Speaker 6 (48:39):
New York City's got great restaurant We did a lot
of Italian and we went to Little Italy into Brooklyn,
but it was mostly Italian places and it was great.
Speaker 4 (48:45):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (48:45):
An Lily.
Speaker 6 (48:47):
You know, we did not have cannole's because I cannot
tolerate those, and the kids went for the gelato instead.
Speaker 2 (48:53):

Yep.
Speaker 2 (49:38):
At Universal, the Halloween hor Nights is starting September fourth,
Midsummer Screaming long Beach, which started back in twenty sixteen,
now starts this Friday, and now Universal stepping up even more?
Was this ise the articles about Universal stepping up even
more with this Universal Horror unleashed, it's year round in
Las Vegas. Now we've been talking about Las Vegas. Everything
happens in Las Vegas. So many great live shows. You've
(49:59):
got food, do you got magic? Now? You got Halloween
all year long? So the food too. Here the flatbreads
are all themed like they're chainsaw blades, and they got
many shoveled desserts, and they've got desserts in syringes. If
you like Halloween, it's gonna be all year available, like
(50:19):
The Walking Dead? Are these universal franchises? These Walking Dead?
Speaker 1 (50:23):
Yeah, Stranger Things, Yeah.
Speaker 2 (50:25):
American r story. So they're popular all year, And I
think it makes a lot of sense. People are into
that mood anytime, really into that vibe anytime.
Speaker 1 (50:36):
Yeah, I am, especially right now. If you go into
any store, Costco already has all the Halloween decorations up
like it's go time.
Speaker 2 (50:44):
So then I start thinking to myself, does this go further?
Does somebody also start doing Christmas experiences in the summer?
I would do. I would pay to go Christmas in July.
Speaker 1 (50:54):
Why not?
Speaker 2 (50:55):
Yes, Christmas in the summer. Like we love Christmas music,
you love that feeling, it's nostalgic. Why not a Christmas experience?
But then will that dilute the Christmas season.
Speaker 3 (51:05):
I'm putting my Christmas tree up right after Halloween this year.
Speaker 2 (51:09):
I'm not against it. I want this. It goes, it
goes fine, that goes fast, so I'm not against it.
Speaker 4 (51:16):
Up.
Speaker 1 (51:16):
Yeah, you.
Speaker 2 (51:20):
Can't dilute Halloween in the same way you could possibly
dilute Christmas. I think.
Speaker 1 (51:27):
No.
Speaker 2 (51:28):
Right, like Halloween you can do and you can still
do it and get decided. If you had Christmas in summer,
would be less exciting and impactful in winter.
Speaker 3 (51:37):
I don't think so.
Speaker 1 (51:38):
I think it'd be great.
Speaker 2 (51:40):
Somebody's gonna do it then, and it's gonna be Las
Vegas and you could maybe you win, you get presents
or summer Santas there working all year round. How many
summer's we done? You've been here.
Speaker 8 (51:50):
Twenty one years and coming up on six months.
Speaker 2 (51:56):
A lot of back to schools. Actually kids have gone
the whole way through then they started, I mean they
were and then graduated college on the air. There you go.
It's a badge of honor, it really is. That's where's
David Alvarez. He's social extraordinary.
Speaker 1 (52:15):
I'm sure he's on this and he knows.
Speaker 2 (52:17):
He's a confirm with him on the air. He's here,
all right, he will. So David listening on this all
the Kiss Social team since he's got some news. Tanya,
you seemed alarmed by this Instagram maps. I'm shooting by it.
Speaker 3 (52:28):
I've been getting dms all weekend, like I don't know,
I'm not doing it right, all right.
Speaker 2 (52:34):
So Sisney take it away.
Speaker 1 (52:36):
So Instagram ruled out this new Instagram map feature. And
it's not the same old like tag a location when
you post type of thing like we've always had on Instagram.
This one lives in your d MS as a little
map icon. So when you go into your DM section,
you'll see like people at the top, and then you'll
see the map as like the third icon or whatever.
(52:56):
Instagram will ask you if you want to share your
real time location with specific people. You can do close friends,
you can do mutuals, or create a custom list. You
can do everyone. If you opt in, it updates your
location whenever you're using the app kind of like Snapchat's
snap map. That's why people are freaking out. Though it
feels way more personal than just tagging Los Angeles in
(53:19):
a photo. If that gives you, you know, the hebgb's
and you get the ick from this, you can just
completely shut it down in your settings. You go to
your phone Settings, Privacy, Location Services and then basically set
it so that Instagram never shares location. But that's the
latest when it comes to this update. And I went
in and I just I just completely turned off my
(53:41):
location in the settings. You could share. Here's the thing
with me and sharing location. Obviously, I share location with
like I don't even know how many people at this point,
forty people of my close friends. But that's in my
find my friends. With this, it's different. This is like
you would share your location to all of your followers,
(54:01):
and if you have hundreds of thousands or millions or whatever,
then they'll know, I guess exactly where you live or
where you're at.
Speaker 2 (54:09):
So tiny, did you turn yours off? Yes?
Speaker 1 (54:12):
I did this.
Speaker 3 (54:13):
I went and I hit the never like Ruby told
me to do, and I was getting dms all weekend
like people saying, hey, just heads up. I can see
your location. Oh yeah, but they were saying I was
in San Francisco, which I was not, and so I'm like,
I don't know what I was.
Speaker 2 (54:29):
Did you take my location?
Speaker 3 (54:30):
No? I don't know what's up with that.
Speaker 1 (54:34):
It's so strange. Why would it say San Francis.
Speaker 3 (54:37):
Somebody DM Robbie In the middle of the night. Robbie's
like scrolling through my phone. It's like one am. I like,
wake up, and he's like, somebody messaged me that your
location is on your phone. So he was like trying
to turn it off on my phone.
Speaker 1 (54:48):
When you go into maps, you're it. I'll say, right there,
location services are off like for me, okay, but I
can see I can see a bunch of people that
have theirs on.
Speaker 3 (54:56):
Can you see mine?
Speaker 1 (54:57):
No, but I did that one day when we were
like when we just found out.
Speaker 3 (55:00):
About it, Yeah, and you were looking.
Speaker 1 (55:03):
I didn't see it on mind, but Michael saw it
on his. He's like, but it did actually show your location.
It could also be if someone else has access to
your socials, it could show their location based on where
where they're at. I don't have logged into your account.
Speaker 2 (55:17):
If that means, let me give you access to mind.
So give your location. I would stay out of it.
As you jump back into the school routine. Do you
have good teachers, you have any strict teachers? You got
some funny teachers. Some teachers are working super super hard.
I do recall y'all every now and then. There was
one that I was a little worried about, not passing,
(55:40):
but doing better than the others. In some of the
teachers that I had could be a little tougher than others. Yeah,
And when I got to that period of the day,
I was Then I got the butterflies. Then I got
the nervousness and the anxiety that you sometimes feel when
you go back to school. So scientists, and I say,
don't spend any time with them. But I read about
this scientists. We're talking about this ten thousand step concept.
(56:03):
Everybody wants to hit ten thousand steps a day. Did
you make it? Do you do it? Do you follow it?
I apparently the ten thousand number is not the real
scientific number to achieve what you think you're achieving at
ten thousand. I knew it is not based on any data.
Speaker 1 (56:20):
So why did they say ten thousand to begin with?
Speaker 2 (56:23):
I think all those measuring devices somehow universally concocted it
to market the devices. That's what I think.
Speaker 3 (56:31):
I know when I start to feel when I'm doing
my ten thousand steps, I feel a shift at this
one marker and it's seven thousand steps.
Speaker 2 (56:39):
That's the number, is it really? That's the actual number.
Seven thousand steps a day was associated with lower risk
of dementia, cardiovascar disease, depression, type two diabetes, and falling
ten thousand steps lower disease RECEI even more, but not
by that much based on the extra three thousand steps.
So when you get to your seven thousand, you can
feel like.
Speaker 1 (56:57):
You have to day you did it.
Speaker 3 (56:59):
Seven to ten is like the brutal part for me.
Speaker 2 (57:02):
That is gonna do it for us this morning. Gonna
be back with you on this Monday, and we got
a full week ahead. Another Ryan Roses on Thursday today.
This was weird. It was weird. I mean, it would
have been easier if you missed it, check it out
on our podcast. Would have been I think an easier
call in some way if you were just physically cheating
instead of creeping. Yeah photographs, yeah, creeping exactly, having AI
(57:25):
photographs of its cowork on his laptop, so back to
school cash again tomorrow. Also a second date update. These
guys met at Hard Summer the music festival and she
lost something, he found it and they hit it off.
It is it is like a movie. Okay, but she
since cooled down, so why is she laying off? Fine
out seven twenty more Jonas Brothers tickets as well. Thank
(57:48):
you all for coming back on this Monday. I have
a fantastic day. Sisney's got you till eleven. Thanks for
listening to On Air with Ryan Seacrest. Make sure to
subscribe it and we'll talk to you again tomorrow
