I didn't know we're not allowed to.
Speaker 3 (00:26):
It's a building rule. You're not supposed to and it's
supposed to allow. Which one is it? I did read somewhere.
I don't know one handbook I was reading. If it's
for show content, the normal administrative rules do not always
apply the exact same way I read this.
Speaker 1 (00:41):
I like that. I mean that seems like a legit rule, like.
Speaker 3 (00:45):
The insults that we in a family way like to
trade back and forth for a good laugh, like the
winding each other up, like the fun things that we
tease each other about. Probably wouldn't do that outside these walls,
but in the studio it's all fine and the student's fun.
Speaker 1 (00:58):
I agree with you, one hundred percent.
Speaker 2 (01:00):
But you can do that with place sales department outside
it's playful in here. So no, no celebrate your dog today.
Speaker 3 (01:07):
If you can bring your dog to work. It's also
International Surfing Day.
Speaker 1 (01:11):
No, that's ride up bar Alley.
Speaker 3 (01:13):
We've all tried it, I would say, we've all tried
it and failed pretty well. Today's National Flip Flop Day
as well. Okay, and summer officially begins tonight. It's seven
forty one, seven forty one, Your summertime starts. So set
an alarm now for seven forty one tonight. You'll forget
(01:34):
why and then you go, oh, you know what, it's summer.
Speaker 1 (01:37):
That's exciting.
Speaker 3 (01:38):
It's something to look forward to. My mother used to
always say, you need little It doesn't matter what it is.
It could be a cupcake, but you need something to
look forward to.
Speaker 1 (01:44):
I agree, a cupcake.
Speaker 2 (01:46):
I mean something that you know you're going to get to,
Like maybe you haven't.
Speaker 4 (01:49):
A when you get dinner.
Speaker 3 (01:51):
Yeah, ever, just something to look little things to look
forward to, to treat yourself.
Speaker 2 (01:56):
It's looking like a really great first weekend of summer.
Speaker 3 (01:58):
We get sunshine this weekend in the forecast highs in
the upper seventies and upper eighties, and this morning we
start paying bills in just a second tier. We also
have a simple way, you know summer summer foods, summer cocktails,
summer teas, watermelons in season, tomatoes are in season. We
have a simple way to remember how to find the
(02:18):
perfect watermelon for summer.
Speaker 2 (02:21):
Summer starts tonight.
Speaker 3 (02:23):
Ruby, I I just want to prepare you that we
are coming to you because we got to talk about
it having a bacherette party in Porto Rico.
Speaker 1 (02:30):
Wow, I cannot wait. It's for me. I know I'm
married legally, but we're.
Speaker 2 (02:36):
Still doing the timeline is a little off field Puerto Rico.
Speaker 3 (02:44):
Fun to be had. That is exciting, And right now,
it's tell me something good. We're gonna go around the room.
There's something good you want to add to it. Please
reach out to us on the phone or on a
talk back Tanya, tell me something good.
Speaker 2 (02:57):
You have a smile on your face.
Speaker 4 (02:59):
Well, I'm it's not good because I am doing laundry.
But the good is because I'm doing laundry for my honeymoon.
So I'm like, full swing ahead. I'm so excited. I've
just been looking forward to this honestly my whole life,
so I'm just excited.
Speaker 3 (03:13):
Well, that actually is very very nice. Are there things
that you plan to do every morning of the honeymoon
that are like celebratory, Like do you have a schedule
of cutey cute so cute No? No, no, like trinkets or
like little notes or you know, you're the things you'd
like to do, leave a bread trail to a candle
or something.
Speaker 4 (03:32):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I have a couple. I have like
a couple tricks, not tricks, but a couple sentimental things
that I'm going to bring, Like I printed out a
couple of pictures from our wedding and I'm going to
put them in specific areas, and I have like a
couple thoughtful things I'm gonna do during our honeymoon.
Speaker 3 (03:48):
I love it very exciting. I know you've been waiting,
as you said, all your life for it. So here
it is.
Speaker 5 (03:52):
Here.
Speaker 2 (03:52):
It comes cherish every moment.
Speaker 1 (03:54):
I will.
Speaker 2 (03:55):
Let's see sisany tell me something good.
Speaker 1 (03:57):
I am hanging out with my friends tomorrow and their baby,
and we have been trying to get together forever, and
we put this in the calendar a month and a
half ago. So that just goes to show you how
busy our lives are.
Speaker 2 (04:11):
And you kept it. The fact you kept the commitments
pretty big time.
Speaker 1 (04:15):
That's what you have to do with friendships that where
we both live really crazy busy lives and we have
kids and et cetera. So I'm really excited that we're
all hanging out tomorrow. Long overdue.
Speaker 2 (04:26):
I'll tell you something good.
Speaker 3 (04:27):
It is a birthday celebration today for one of the
greatest people on the planet. If you don't know who
he is, google him or chat GPT him, or ask
somebody around you who he is.
Speaker 2 (04:36):
But he is. He's everything you expect him to be.
Speaker 3 (04:39):
He's got great energy, he's always positive, and he's one
of the greatest singers and songwriters and performers of all time.
Speaker 2 (04:45):
He's a living legend, and that is Lionel Richie.
Speaker 3 (04:48):
Yes celebrating his birthday today, and we've been blessed at
him in our lives on American Idol for several years now,
and he's just inspiring.
Speaker 1 (04:57):
He's a good person.
Speaker 3 (04:58):
He takes care of himself, and he's into you know, wellness,
and I just his energy and his talent and his
achievements and accomplishments are inspiring no matter what you do.
So if you don't know who Lionel Richie is, look
him up. Happy birthday, Lionel. So let's see, uh, I
married Tanya. Robbie Nelson from way back in the day,
(05:18):
planned Sidney's bachelorette party. We're all here for that and
the stories after.
Speaker 1 (05:23):
Right. It was in Miami.
Speaker 3 (05:25):
I planned my sister's bachelorette party. He was in a
wine country. I was in charge of all the activities
and the fund So, Ruby, I know what it's like
to plan a bachelorette party, to marry someone, and to
hear about Sisney's bacherette party. So don't exclude me because
I'm unmarried or unengaged.
Speaker 1 (05:47):
Maybe I should include you. Maybe you should help me plan.
Speaker 6 (05:50):
All the details. You need a DJ, I need a DJ? Yeah?
Speaker 1 (05:58):
What like, what are you going to do?
Speaker 7 (06:01):
A book?
Speaker 3 (06:01):
Triple XL for her? I got it, I get DJ.
So you're planning your bachelorrett party. Very exciting you pick
Puerto Rico. Tell me a little bit of the background
as to what you're planning.
Speaker 2 (06:11):
Why.
Speaker 1 (06:12):
Yeah, I'm just excited.
Speaker 8 (06:13):
I know.
Speaker 6 (06:14):
You know, traditionally you do the bachelorette before you get married.
I'm legally married, so I had my civil ceremony, but
I still wanted a weekend to get away with my
closest girlfriends and just do it my way. Why not? Like,
I feel like we could still celebrate. It's a giant
slumber party. We're still gonna have a good time.
Speaker 2 (06:31):
So how many girlfriends?
Speaker 5 (06:33):
Ten?
Speaker 9 (06:34):
Nah?
Speaker 6 (06:34):
I did not think all ten would go, but everyone
was down and everyone bought their flights. Within a week,
everyone was on it. We have our space locked in.
We got an airbnb so we could all be together. Yeah,
and I'm really excited. Bad Bunny is in town that weekend.
He's doing his residency in Puerto Rico, so we're trying
to go to that. But it's kind of tough to
(06:56):
get tickets, so, especially for ten girls, a little bit harder.
Speaker 2 (07:01):
Right, isn't this where you can help.
Speaker 3 (07:02):
You're in the music department at I can't you call
a Bad Bunny Foundation establishment whatever they're running and get
some bad Bunny in here for them to fans in
Puerto Rico.
Speaker 1 (07:10):
I might know a guy who knows the guys. We
can figure something out.
Speaker 3 (07:14):
Well, yes, don't say stuff like that and then not
come through on a batcherette party.
Speaker 1 (07:17):
I don't, I won't not.
Speaker 2 (07:19):
I'll try my heart.
Speaker 1 (07:21):
Not guaranteeing anything, but I can make a.
Speaker 2 (07:24):
Phone call do you know why Bad Bunny is named
bad Bunny.
Speaker 1 (07:27):
Because he's so bad?
Speaker 2 (07:30):
No, why that's not it? So bad Bunny.
Speaker 3 (07:34):
When he was a kid, he was forced to wear
a bunny costume for school on an Easter performance, and
he didn't like it.
Speaker 2 (07:42):
He thought the photo was miserable.
Speaker 3 (07:44):
The picture of him, he was like angry looking bunny
stuck in his mind and later he started uploading music online,
especially on SoundCloud.
Speaker 2 (07:51):
Back in the day.
Speaker 3 (07:52):
He chose to name bad Bunny as a sort of ironic,
playful reference to that photo. I love you Bunny with
a bad rebellious twist. I didn't remember that right now,
Yeah I did, because I knew it, but I didn't
know all of it. So I just chated GPT and
read that right now. I knew it was about a
school performance. We had to dress up as a bunny,
and then he went with the joke on it. And
now look at him. He's the coolest, biggest star in
(08:13):
the world.
Speaker 8 (08:14):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (08:14):
I don't even like think of a bunny when I
think of bad Bunny. It's just like his name, yeah, same, yeah,
but he's just like it's just super cool.
Speaker 3 (08:23):
And now, Sisney, we're gonna check every day to find out.
Speaker 2 (08:26):
If she got you the tickets. No, we won't. We
won't be like that.
Speaker 3 (08:30):
You know, summer comes along and summer food, summer fruits,
tomatoes and watermelon.
Speaker 2 (08:37):
Why do I get excited about this? Me too?
Speaker 4 (08:39):
I love watermelon. I want to make a shaved ice
watermelon this summer.
Speaker 2 (08:43):
Ooh nice.
Speaker 3 (08:44):
So here's not fun to write one. It's easy if
you want to remember it. Remember R y T right,
R y TEA round yellow. You want to yellow, like
the field spot to be yellow, which is where it's rest.
Speaker 2 (09:00):
It on the ground. You know, there's like a yellow circle.
Speaker 1 (09:02):
Interesting, I never white thought about that.
Speaker 2 (09:05):
Yeah, because somebodys you would think I wanted to be
all the same you want to. I would pass that.
Speaker 1 (09:09):
One if I was looking at him and be like,
oh no, that was not good.
Speaker 3 (09:12):
White is not right, by the way I tell you,
white is not right. See buy it early and then
let it hit No, I.
Speaker 4 (09:18):
Just never remember which color. But some of them have
the white the white puddle, and some have the yellow puddle.
Speaker 3 (09:23):
And then you went tight lines, so round yellow and
tight lines not too far apart?
Speaker 1 (09:29):
Tight? Okay, got it? P white? What did you say?
Are white? R?
Speaker 2 (09:38):
White? And I like salt or taheen on mine.
Speaker 1 (09:42):
I like my playing.
Speaker 3 (09:44):
There you go, summer tip today's quote. You're not too sensitive.
You're just finally listening to yourself. I would have want
to hop your quote actually today, but there you go.
A you know sometimes that somebody will come on the
show and I will think about them after the show
(10:07):
or for a couple of days after the show, And
every time I do something in my real life in
the wild, I'll think of them. So as I've been
putting cologne on every day, I've been thinking about Larry
Joe in hammt too called in he's occupied brain space. Yeah,
because we're talking about le fragrances of romas.
Speaker 2 (10:24):
I like sense.
Speaker 3 (10:26):
I like to smell soaps that smell good, or candles
that smell good, or mean to by lotion that smells good,
fragrances that smell good.
Speaker 2 (10:34):
But sometimes I put too much on. Thanks Tanya and.
Speaker 3 (10:39):
Larry Joe reached out to us and said, listen, guys,
you're talking about fragrances and sense.
Speaker 2 (10:44):
He said this a cent is to be discovered.
Speaker 3 (10:47):
That announced Larry just sitting on that quote and Hamant
waiting for us and talking drops that on us. Who
is Larry Joe from Hemmott And does he know how
much time I spend thinking about it? Hi, Larry Joe
from Hemmant. It's Ryan Seacrest, Tanya and Siciny.
Speaker 7 (11:03):
Hi, Hi, good morning, Good morning mornie. Larry.
Speaker 3 (11:09):
You struck us with your profound comment about fragrances where
you said a cent is to be discovered, not announced.
And I think about you every time I apply.
Speaker 7 (11:19):
Perfect Yes, I don't remember where I got That's how
I've heard it years ago and ever since then. I'm
very subtle with my colognes. And you know nowadays you
have cologonnes and even body lotions that have said so
you got to be very subtle with that.
Speaker 3 (11:34):
You're in the category of subtle beauty. You are subtle beauty.
Larry Joe from Hemmett. So, Larry Joe just we're very
curious to meet everybody that listens, and we can't meet everyone,
but we're happy to connect with somebody. And when I
kept thinking about you, I thought I got to bring
this guy back to know more about him. Because I
have two cans of fragrances that I mix and combined together,
(11:55):
and I apply sometimes too much morning and evening.
Speaker 2 (11:58):
It's like a night I apply twice. So Larry, what
tells about youself? What do you what do you do?
Speaker 4 (12:05):
What's happening tonight?
Speaker 7 (12:06):
I work in the social services. I work with individuals
and disabilities and assisting them to get back into the workforce.
Speaker 3 (12:14):
And what is your cent Larry Joe? I often have
thought about that since you called him.
Speaker 7 (12:19):
Yeah, well, I my go to is Georgio R Rmani's
awkward did geo. That's been my sent for years. I've
experiment with others, but that's my goal to.
Speaker 10 (12:31):
I always go to that.
Speaker 2 (12:33):
And where do you purchase aquy geo?
Speaker 7 (12:37):
Well, usually I would go to any local mall, like,
for instance, Macy's got a good, you know, fragrance section,
so I usually would go there. I've actually bought like
a sixty four you know ounce cologne last time, so.
Speaker 8 (12:53):
It's it's I had that for you actually for the
past couple of years, so I'm still using it.
Speaker 2 (13:01):
Anybody have questions for Larry Joe from Hemmett.
Speaker 1 (13:03):
I imagine Larry that you don't based on your quote
that you don't overpower it, right, So where do you
spray it? When you spray your cologne.
Speaker 2 (13:11):
Oh yeah, positioning.
Speaker 10 (13:13):
Yeah, So what I do is I actually spray it
to from a distance on my neck and then one
near my.
Speaker 7 (13:23):
My my butt back.
Speaker 8 (13:26):
And I do have a teenage son, yeah, just right
behind well hit my arm, So basically how I'm holding
my clothes, I'll spray like towards.
Speaker 3 (13:38):
My neck, oh, the back of the neck, right, and
your teenage son, you said, your teenage son.
Speaker 7 (13:45):
He overpowers his fragrances. So yeah, so I you know
I often you tell him about that quote. He yep,
got to remember that and he walked away. And you
know when he's around because he can smell all right.
Speaker 3 (13:59):
And the final question I've few Larry jo because I
know you're busy in Hemmett. So the final question I
had when I was thinking about all of this conversation
every time I was putting on my colone after we spoke,
is there a missus Larry Joe to appreciate your effort.
Speaker 7 (14:12):
Yes. Yes, As a matter of fact, we were started
dating and that was the scent that I kind of
went with and she loved it. So that's the sin
I go with every time, every time.
Speaker 2 (14:26):
So beautiful, romantic. I love it.
Speaker 3 (14:29):
Well, Larry Joe, thank you for getting back on the
air with us, and you take good care.
Speaker 2 (14:32):
We appreciate be part of the listening family.
Speaker 7 (14:35):
I do have to say I do love listening to
you guys. You guys very entertaining, you know, on my commute,
and I do listen to the app. I do try
calling you in every time, you know, to participate in
those events. So I'm I'm gonna ask, are there any
extra dission and tickets for me?
Speaker 3 (14:54):
Larry Joe from Hemmett, who has come back on generously
to answer questions spontaneously with us. You are getting a
four pack for you the misses your gate son. He
appreciates his scent all right, his strong scent.
Speaker 1 (15:08):
Right spread your sent all over Disneyland.
Speaker 2 (15:12):
Happy summary, Thank you so much for being with us.
Speaker 3 (15:14):
You got him brother hand on one second, back and
neck interesting geography.
Speaker 1 (15:20):
I know the back of the neck is key. And
now I'm going to change my position.
Speaker 3 (15:24):
You know, Tania is a trending report here, what do
you have? And then DJ Triple XL's got a great mix.
I just previewed it.
Speaker 4 (15:30):
Okay, we're talking about Kaya Gerber and Lewis Pulman. So
Kaya Gerber is a supermodel whose mom is the ultimate supermodel,
Cindy Crawford. So she broke up with Austin Butler aka
Elvis at the end of twenty twenty four, and everyone
has been wondering who she will date next. Enter actor
(15:52):
Lewis Pullman from Marvel's Thunderbolts. So he is the son
of Bill Pullman, who played the president in Independence Day
and he was in While You Were Sleeping with Sandra Bullock.
Speaker 1 (16:03):
So Lewis is.
Speaker 4 (16:05):
Very much the new Internet boyfriend of the moment. And
Lewis and Kaya were seen making out at a concert at
the Hollywood Bowl, so they clearly aren't hiding anything but
this hot new couple. I'm going to keep my eye
on them because it is the start of summer, so
is it a summer fling?
Speaker 1 (16:23):
I feel like Kaya, I.
Speaker 4 (16:25):
Don't obviously know her, but I feel like she's a
relationship girly, So I feel like this might blossom into
something a little bit more long term.
Speaker 3 (16:33):
And you actually don't know anyone at all, and you're
a huge judgment on their character.
Speaker 4 (16:38):
I know, but I feel like she did it Austin
Butler for a long time, so I feel like she's
not like a quick little summer fling. Girly, I think
this might be like a real relationship. Was at Laanford
and Son's, No it wasn't.
Speaker 1 (16:52):
Tyler Childers Tyler Childers Country.
Speaker 3 (16:56):
Yeah, all right, well I agree.
Speaker 2 (17:01):
I think you're right.
Speaker 1 (17:02):
I agree. What's it's not a summer flaning?
Speaker 2 (17:06):
I think yeah, No, I think let's go with it.
Speaker 1 (17:08):
It's I think when you go public, it's like you're
not really going to go public if it's just a
summer flame. Yeah, I'm excited about covering that covered that.
Speaker 3 (17:17):
We are going to get into the Benson Boone album
in a few minutes. New Today, very much excitement about
it on a New Music World premiere Friday. But first,
this is just random act of kindness paying it forward?
Is that what this is all about?
Speaker 5 (17:32):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (17:33):
But I'm also like, how do you have just endless
amount of money to continue to do this? As well?
Speaker 3 (17:38):
Jot this down if you don't have it. At Los
Angeles money hunt is on Instagram and it's uh. I
think it's three people, Joseph Edgel and Chris from LA
and they're just sending people on a money hunt. So
if you find a lock box where they put the money.
They post it up, you find it, you unlock it,
you keep the money. So what they do is they
scan the area to give you an idea of where
(18:00):
it is, and somewhere in that scan is the code.
You'll find it. But somewhere that scan is the code
to the lock box. Could be like an address or
somebody yeah, or can.
Speaker 1 (18:09):
You just a flyer? Or it can be anything that
you'd see for code, combination of some of sorts, and.
Speaker 3 (18:16):
The first person to crack the code gets the cash.
They're up to about seventy thousand followers because of it.
It just seems like good fun, no catch, good fun,
right exactly. Joseph Edgel and Chris, thanks for coming on.
Speaker 9 (18:30):
Thanks for having us ron Ron, you actually got you
actually got three of us on here. So Chris is
my brother and then Joe yep.
Speaker 2 (18:39):
Jel let me start with you. Is there no catch?
Speaker 3 (18:41):
You're just doing a nice thing for people if they
find the money.
Speaker 9 (18:45):
There is no catch. We actually started this thing just
under Actually this month will be a year ago. We
started doing this. Our whole philosophy was actually missions famous
to keep people winning and to pass it off. So
we started doing giveaways and cash shops and all that stuff,
and it's it's just starting to take fire. So that's
what we do. We actually, you know, hide money, make
(19:05):
a fun scavenger hunt and people find it. It's finders
keepers and then of course there's all kinds of other
things we do too, but that was the impetus of
this whole thing.
Speaker 3 (19:13):
Right, So this is on Instagram at Los Angeles money
Hunt if you want to follow. They've recently done this
in like mid City and Englewood hunting the Park as well,
and it's usually a couple hundred bucks. So Chris, where's
the money coming from?
Speaker 9 (19:27):
Well, a couple of different places.
Speaker 5 (19:28):
I mean, like my brother said, we started a company
called Pass Pass and Joe is actually the one who
started Los Angeles money Hunt, and we kind of joined
force and have just.
Speaker 7 (19:38):
Been really rolling into this thing.
Speaker 5 (19:40):
And we give away a bunch of different actually have
giveaways for vacation trips, cars, all sorts of different things,
and the flend in person scavenger hunts is just another
arm of everything we do. So it's all about giving
back and you know, we've got investors and yeah, that's
pretty straightforward, and we try some of it ourselves as well.
Speaker 3 (20:00):
Let me understand, Joe, let me understand the investment part.
You go to an investor and you say, hey, give
us money, We're gonna give it away.
Speaker 2 (20:05):
What do they get?
Speaker 9 (20:07):
That's basically it.
Speaker 11 (20:08):
They get the exposure. I mean, the page reaches close
to ten million accounts every single month. So it's a
win win because the community is getting, you know, a
fun scavenger hunt to do, they're getting a prize, and
the whatever restaurant or business that would like to collaborate
with us, they get the exposure and they have people
that are coming directly to their doorstep.
Speaker 1 (20:24):
Got it.
Speaker 3 (20:24):
What's the largest amounts of money someone has found in
a scavenger hunt here in La.
Speaker 11 (20:30):
In La We as of now, it was just a
little over one hundred dollars. We have a lot more plans.
We're doing five hundred dollars drops. We're doing you know,
we're working with like I said, other collaborations. We're doing
two hundred and fifty dollars drops. So it really the
prizes kind of vary each day, but overall that's the
whole point is, you know, it's just it's winning the game.
Speaker 1 (20:51):
Has it ever gotten out of hand to where there's
been a mob or it's like you guys have blocked
streets because there's so many people going, oh.
Speaker 11 (20:59):
Yeah, we have an Orange County page and it just
we did a five hundred dollars drop there for Easter,
and within probably two minutes it was just I mean, ma'am.
We were standing on top of a roof to film
and we could see cars just skirting around the street
and just running up.
Speaker 9 (21:16):
But the thing is is, even though it seems.
Speaker 11 (21:18):
Like chaos, what's really cool about this is because it
just kind of brings the community together. Everyone's cheering each
other on. So when they find the money, people start clapping,
they're all excited, and it's just it's a great atmosphere.
Speaker 3 (21:30):
I love that you're taking something so simple, making it fun,
making it active.
Speaker 2 (21:38):
And there's no negativity and no catch. I just think
it's super cool.
Speaker 9 (21:43):
Yeah, we appreciate that. Yeah, we thought so too. We
didn't know what we kind of stepped into and we
started doing it was just fun. But we're basically taking
this nationwide. Actually, you know, like we're when we met Joe,
my brother and I were doing this on our own
ride and then when we met Joe, we realized what
he was doing was a total alignment with our core values,
and so we've recently came up so actually all the pages,
(22:05):
including the one that you mentioned, is actually now called
Past Past Los Angeles and so all these we're actually
gonna be taking this nationwide because we have so much
demands for it, like our inboxes flooded, and so we
decided to actually just do this thing like the more
the merrier. We're just kind of spreading the pass it
on mission statement.
Speaker 1 (22:24):
Incredible.
Speaker 2 (22:24):
I love it. I love it.
Speaker 3 (22:25):
Joseph Edgel Chris Los Angeles money Hunt. Check him out
on Instagram. Follow along to see where this all goes.
Congratulations on spreading some good stuff here. Appreciate you coming on.
Speaker 9 (22:35):
Thanks And we went to Dumbodie High School, So there
you go.
Speaker 2 (22:41):
Shut the wildcat mouth.
Speaker 9 (22:45):
Wild We did.
Speaker 2 (22:47):
You went to Dunwoodie High School? That is my alma mater.
Speaker 9 (22:52):
Yeah, we know, went to right after that.
Speaker 7 (22:56):
Yes, I went to.
Speaker 9 (22:58):
For a minute, I was tripping out when we're gonna
get on with you because I was like, I've been
running in the same circles and I heard your name
when I got to school. They're like, oh, you know, right,
was the school I'm like, oh, that's really cool. And
then tonight I was like, I got it.
Speaker 3 (23:11):
No, for sure, bro, I mean we walked the same hall,
shared the same lockers, and I heard your Southern accent
and I thought, gosh, it sounds like a dude that
I would have grown up with.
Speaker 2 (23:21):
Actually I did.
Speaker 9 (23:23):
You're pretty cool.
Speaker 3 (23:26):
Abernathy Roswell Road. I mean, we can go way but
so well, guys.
Speaker 7 (23:32):
I grew I grew up.
Speaker 9 (23:33):
Yeah, we grew up right off of Spauldings.
Speaker 2 (23:36):
Yeah, I know it. I know it all right.
Speaker 3 (23:38):
I love you guys for the positive and energy and
go Wildcats.
Speaker 2 (23:41):
Thanks for the memory, Thank thanks for having it so
much right right by Benson Boone yep.
Speaker 3 (23:49):
And then of course he's a very popular act on tour,
very athletic on tour, and I'll say you're a great artist.
And his album is out American Art finally.
Speaker 9 (24:00):
Now.
Speaker 3 (24:00):
It came out late last night our time on the
West Coast, and LA's number one Benson Boone station is.
Speaker 1 (24:08):
Kiss FM, right, that's Kiss FM. Today. Yes, we're going
to be playing a lot of Benson Boone tracks from
the new album, including uh, some of his previous hits
as well as like You just heard Beautiful Things, which
we think kind of just really skyrocketed his career.
Speaker 2 (24:23):
So it's got a vibe this album to it.
Speaker 3 (24:25):
It's it's I mean, how would you describe some emotion
or some pop, like emotional pop.
Speaker 1 (24:30):
And it's and with like a throwback almost like a Springsteeny.
Speaker 2 (24:34):
Twist that photos is Springsteen? Ask, He's right, he's yeah,
the American American born in the USA.
Speaker 1 (24:42):
Uh huh. And it's like eight pack or twelve pack
or whatever he's got how many let's count his apps?
Speaker 2 (24:47):
Okay, one, two, two, four, six, eight?
Speaker 1 (24:50):
There's eight.
Speaker 3 (24:51):
Yeah, yeah, solid. I'm going to all right, thank you
tiny for reinforcing the ages.
Speaker 1 (24:56):
Yes it is eight, but yes, so go on. Super
excited for Benson. I feel like this year he's really
kind of just stepped into this full blown pop star energy,
from the Grammys to Coachella to SNL. He was recently
on Jimmy Fallon, so I think it's just he's incredible.
This album is so good. Some of my faves, obviously
(25:18):
Mystical Magical is the one we've been playing on Kiss
for the past few weeks.
Speaker 2 (25:31):
That don't have to get baby.
Speaker 1 (25:41):
There's a catchiness the day yes, here him in full.
Mister Electric Blue is also very catchy and kind of theatrical.
Speaker 3 (25:51):
It definitely stands out, like if you listen to the
music that's on right now, it definitely breaks through with
a different sound and a flashback sound to.
Speaker 1 (26:10):
Me absolutely and reminds me of you. It is probably
one of my favorites on the album. It hits that
gut punch late night drive kind of way. And this
is my surprise for you. So a few months ago
I was invited to a playback of his album with
him there, and he performed Reminds Me of You for us,
(26:32):
and so I videotaped it and this is the audio.
This is the live version of Reminds Me of You
with Benson singing it.
Speaker 3 (26:56):
You know what I really like about the album is
it takes you up and down on different tempo rides,
which is super cool. Now, when you listened back, he
was playing the music for you, and then he did
this one live.
Speaker 1 (27:07):
Yeah, he played the whole album and he I would say,
he performed maybe three songs from the album and the
rest we just like listened back and he spoke about
a few of them and gave a little insight as
to you know what he was feeling during the process
of writing that song, et cetera. And it's funny because
I forget which song it was, but it was like
about a girl back home. And he's like, look, not
(27:28):
all music is exactly truthful. You know, there's fiction sometimes
when you're writing. He's like, just so you guys know,
there was no lady back home, Like I had no
game when I was in high school. Like he was
just very honest, And I love That's what I love
about like going to some of these events where you
get to hear the music ahead with the artists, because
then they kind of just give you these insights.
Speaker 4 (27:48):
Did you ask him about his friendship with Tom Holland?
Speaker 1 (27:50):
I did not ask him about his friendship.
Speaker 3 (27:52):
But remind us about his frienship with Time Home. They're like,
they're like Hollywood bros.
Speaker 4 (27:56):
Yeah, they're like new I feel like they're like starting.
Speaker 2 (27:57):
A new romance romance this summer.
Speaker 3 (28:01):
Yeah, So American Heart is like a little over thirty
minute song. We're going to play tracks from it all
day and they're gonna play it again. It's entirety one
o'clock this afternoon, right, that's correct. That is the plan
Benson Boone's new album and to walk through the music there.
Her boyfriend hasn't introduced her to his parents yet, and
she started to thinking about this a little bit. So, Olivia,
(28:21):
thanks for coming on. Why are you concerned that your
boyfriend has not introduced you to his parents yet?
Speaker 12 (28:27):
Well, because we had a long distance situationship for five
months and when he finally got back, he asked me
to be his girlfriend. So I was really excited. But
it's been a month of us dating and she hasn't
told his mom and to my knowledge, a lot of
his hometown friends.
Speaker 13 (28:42):
So I don't know if this is a red flag
or not.
Speaker 3 (28:46):
All right, tell me how how long have you known
him and dated him? I give you some time frame here.
Speaker 12 (28:51):
Okay, So I met him last November and we met
like in school, and I knew him for two months,
but then he went abroad, so we did a situationship
for five months, and then he came back in May,
and then he asked me to be his girlfriend after that,
(29:12):
and I was very excited. But he hasn't told anyone
about it.
Speaker 1 (29:18):
Yeah, that's bad, that's not great.
Speaker 2 (29:21):
And why is he hih? Why is he hiding you.
Speaker 13 (29:24):
I don't know he told a bunch of his school friends.
But then when he went back home, like he didn't
tell me about him telling any of his home friends
or I even asked about it. I was like, oh,
have you told your mom about me yet? And he
was like, oh no, Like I forgot about it, but
I'll do.
Speaker 1 (29:40):
That thought about it.
Speaker 12 (29:45):
You're at home twenty four to seven.
Speaker 2 (29:48):
Yeah, thought less ness, That is not cool.
Speaker 3 (29:51):
I mean, if you're but he came to you to
ask to upgrade from the sid chip, right, yes, all right,
so you got to hold accoun for this or don't
hang out and don't stick around. It's still new enough
to where you can break it off for this cause.
Speaker 1 (30:07):
Yeah, I be blunt, ask him directly because it.
Speaker 3 (30:11):
Doesn't feel good. If you don't feel good, why do
you want to be with the guy that doesn't make
it feel good?
Speaker 13 (30:15):
Yeah, And I don't know if it' because he just
doesn't have as close as a relationship with his mom
or like that's something that he doesn't really talk about
with his mom. But it just doesn't feel great on
the receiving end to not be talked about.
Speaker 3 (30:27):
So maybe there's a step here where you do go
to him and say, look, this is not feeling good
to me. I want you to know that. Give him
a beat, and then see what happens. If he doesn't
shape up, then you move on. Still early enough?
Speaker 7 (30:37):
Yeah?
Speaker 13 (30:38):
How long should I wait till I ask him?
Speaker 7 (30:40):
Should I do it?
Speaker 2 (30:41):
Like?
Speaker 9 (30:41):
Right now?
Speaker 5 (30:41):
Right now?
Speaker 2 (30:42):
Yeah? Now it's on your mind now? Yeah? Now, one
minute ago?
Speaker 1 (30:48):
Literally yesterday?
Speaker 2 (30:50):
All right, good luck on this journey. Thank you, take care,
Thanks Olivia.
Speaker 3 (30:55):
If someone doesn't make you feel good and you just
started seeing them, you've got to bail now. Sit Ship
by definition, is like lack of commitment and a little
bit lazy, isn't it right?
Speaker 1 (31:04):
Situationship kind of yes, we're in it, but we're not
in it. It's kind I like people slip ship in there.
Speaker 3 (31:10):
Yeah, well, be careful when you say it. But it's
like a no label relationship.
Speaker 2 (31:14):
Isn't it?
Speaker 3 (31:15):
I think so too, Yes, which has become I mean,
it's always been something, but it's become more of a
non label label now called a situationship.
Speaker 1 (31:24):
Yeah, it's like a gray area, but it goes a
step up from the gray area.
Speaker 2 (31:28):
If someone doesn't make you feel good, why stay.
Speaker 1 (31:32):
So simple? Yet start?
Speaker 2 (31:34):
Why start like this is start.
Speaker 1 (31:36):
You might be in it already, but yes.
Speaker 3 (31:38):
Let's get into our weekend watch list here as we
roll into summer tonight and Friday afternoon and evening. Maybe
you want to sit down and stream a little something.
Speaker 2 (31:46):
A weekend watch list does not.
Speaker 3 (31:50):
I have to tell you, I officially think there's nothing
for me to watch right now. I've been struggling to
find something and I feel like I am out of
that I'm interested in.
Speaker 1 (32:01):
There's so much good shows out there. Did you try
yet with Owen Wilson?
Speaker 2 (32:06):
I did? Okay, I did? And yeah, did you like it?
I tried it?
Speaker 8 (32:10):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (32:11):
It comes out every week, so now you probably caught up.
And then you have to wait.
Speaker 2 (32:14):
I just I.
Speaker 3 (32:16):
Like CIA suspense psychological thrillers with Michael Fassbender, and I'm
out of them.
Speaker 1 (32:24):
Oh my weekend watch list might be up your alley
then with the twist, So that's why I do actually
need this segment to give me new ideas.
Speaker 2 (32:32):
What is your weekend watch list idea?
Speaker 1 (32:34):
So it's called Bridehard and it's in theaters and apparently
a mercenary group takes over a wedding and they have
no idea that the maid of Honor, who is played
by Rebel Wilson, by the way, is actually a secret agent.
So it's comedy meets action meets I don't know. I
haven't seen it, but I kind of want to see it.
Looks it looks really funny and good.
Speaker 3 (32:54):
Bride hard Okay, got it? Now tell you what's on
your weekend watch list?
Speaker 4 (32:58):
Okay, So mine is the material lists. It's the movie
in theaters. It's with Dakota Fanning, Chris Evans, and Pedro Pascal.
It's about basically a matchmaker. It's kind of like a
rom calm, and I just I have to see it.
They've done so much promo that.
Speaker 1 (33:14):
They got it.
Speaker 3 (33:16):
Okay, and Ruby, what's on your weekend watch list? If
we need new ideas?
Speaker 6 (33:19):
So if you like the first season A nine Perfect Strangers,
season two is on Hulu, starring Nicole Kidman as Masha.
She invites a new group of Nine Strangers to a
remote wellness retreat in the Alps. So the first six
episodes are on Hulu and then there's new episodes every Wednesday,
so you can kind of for me, Yes.
Speaker 2 (33:37):
That's for me. It's a guy I like.
Speaker 3 (33:39):
Okay, and I saw the first one, and there's a
lot of episodes on to stop wait exactly.
Speaker 2 (33:44):
All right, there you.
Speaker 3 (33:46):
Go your weekend watch list. Next week, FYI, the Bear
season four comes out there.
Speaker 1 (33:49):
That's exciting.
Speaker 3 (33:51):
That is on my radar to check out. We are
into the weekend. Seven forty one is the beginning of
summer tonight. If you want to set your phone there,
that's exciting. What's happening. I do set my alarm for
things like the next day, and I'm like, what did
I set that for?
Speaker 2 (34:04):
And then it dawns on.
Speaker 3 (34:05):
I know. I wish I could make a note next
to the alarm. You can, Ryan, No, I actually can't.
Speaker 1 (34:12):
No, you can. When you set the alarm on your phone, you.
Speaker 3 (34:16):
Can put a note. Yes, yes, I just got Apple
paye slow down with me because moved too fast. Your
tech talk is too fast.
Speaker 5 (34:27):
All right.
Speaker 3 (34:27):
The weekend is looking good, great weather. The Venice Summer
Fest is this weekend is all day tomorrow. They got
live music on four different stages, which is pretty cool.
It's along Venice Boulevard, Santa Monica Pride happening all day
tomorrow on the pier, along the promenade, and of course
down on the beach as well.
Speaker 1 (34:45):
Which, by the way, you can now drink on the promenade.
There's another reason to go down Wu Tang Clan.
Speaker 3 (34:53):
It's their farewell concert Sunday at Crypto dot Com Arena
if you're a fan the Wu Tang Clan and the Dodgers.
Speaker 2 (34:58):
So we're talking about this.
Speaker 3 (35:00):
The Dodgers are home against Washington tomorrow night and it's
ice Cube bobblehead night.
Speaker 1 (35:07):
Oh I love that.
Speaker 3 (35:10):
So if you want that bobblehead of ice Cube, does
it look like ice Cube?
Speaker 1 (35:14):
Let me see.
Speaker 3 (35:15):
Okay, I'm looking at the bobblehead of ice Cube that
they've advertised.
Speaker 2 (35:18):
I'm not so sure it looks like ice Cube.
Speaker 1 (35:20):
It's ice Cube adjacent closely to any of the bubbleheads,
look like any of that. Now you have a bubblehead,
do you think that it looks like you?
Speaker 3 (35:28):
I'm it looks like me. Yeah, more than that.
Speaker 1 (35:34):
Remember we saw remember we saw the one selling your
bubblehead on eBay.
Speaker 2 (35:39):
It was one person who's still for.
Speaker 1 (35:41):
Sale ice Legend. Mark's looking it up right now.
Speaker 2 (35:47):
It out Mark Big News. There still the books. We
should buy it.
Speaker 1 (35:57):
I'm going to go buy it.
Speaker 2 (35:59):
Chair there.
Speaker 3 (36:02):
There's a few they will be for sale for years.
No one wants a bobblehead of me and cool Me
bobblehead trash. The Day Trip Music Festival is in Long
Beach on the Queen Mary Waterfront with live music tomorrow Sunday.
(36:22):
On this weekend. Uh, let's see Ruby is taking around
horseback riding. I remember that Mikayla is going to Rhode
Island to see the family. Internet Amy is going to
the Bay Area to see her boyfriend in How long
has it been the Internet?
Speaker 2 (36:36):
Internet intern?
Speaker 3 (36:38):
Amy? It's Friday, man, I'm done. I'm done. I'm out
of it.
Speaker 7 (36:41):
Internet. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (36:42):
Intern Amy, who's also very savvy on the Internet again
prep on a daily basis, researching although she's a chat
GPT more than the Internet.
Speaker 2 (36:51):
But still don't we all? Are you excited to see
your boyfriend?
Speaker 5 (36:55):
In turn?
Speaker 2 (36:55):
Amy, I am? I am.
Speaker 6 (36:57):
I'm going to try to have him take me to
the Charles Schultze Nice.
Speaker 2 (37:01):
Oh great, I've not been. Is Charles Schultz the Charlie Brown?
Speaker 11 (37:10):
Yeah?
Speaker 6 (37:10):
Yeah, it's like Peanuts, he created Peanuts.
Speaker 1 (37:12):
Yeah, okay, good Snoopean, it's like a Peanuts museum.
Speaker 2 (37:15):
Yes, all right, that's very very cool.
Speaker 8 (37:17):
All right.
Speaker 2 (37:18):
And then Sydney's gone roller skating on Sunday.
Speaker 1 (37:20):
Yeah, I don't know the last time I was in
roller skates, so wish me luck.
Speaker 3 (37:25):
If Tanya's going to celebrate an anniversary or a honeymoon
or one of the big things, honeymoon, all right, enjoy
have fun doing that, have a great weekend.
Speaker 2 (37:35):
Everybody.
Speaker 3 (37:35):
We are on on Monday. It's Ryan's Roses seven forty.
A lot more those Disneyland tickets. I'm seeing that. You know,
you could use these certainly for summer with everybody being
out of school. So we're just going to keep those flowing.
Make sure you check out Monday morning to win those
every single hour. And if you missed anything on the podcast,
it is available on airth Ryan Seacrest wherever you get
your podcast.
Speaker 8 (37:54):
Someday.
Speaker 3 (37:54):
I was reading that you might want to think about
you know, everybody's got their theory and how to stay
fit and how to manage what they eat, or at
least you think about it.
Speaker 5 (38:05):
Right.
Speaker 3 (38:06):
So, according to a lot of new research, lunch is
more than just a break in the day. It's a
biological checkpoint and it's really important to have lunch. I've
gone back and forth on this where I thought, well,
maybe you don't eat so much for lunch, but then
I'm so hungry for dinner and they say, you know,
you should eat less than midle the day. I guess,
but one common mistake is eating too lightly at lunch.
And something that they said is a guaranteed energy booster
(38:28):
that I just thought was so fun and good to
have is the nut butter sandwich. Peanut butter banana sandwich
on sprout of grain bread and a glass of chocolate
flavored oat milk.
Speaker 2 (38:39):
Like, apparently that's not bad for you.
Speaker 1 (38:41):
I would love that. That sound sounds awesome, delicious.
Speaker 3 (38:44):
Peanut butter, banana and chocolate oat milk, chef's kiss.
Speaker 2 (38:49):
Have you ever milked in oat? I've never milked.
Speaker 1 (38:50):
Okay, I haven't made the milk I have. I don't
need the chocolate milk.
Speaker 4 (38:56):
Yeah, I've tried to make oat milk before.
Speaker 3 (38:58):
Treat yourself. Enjoy your Friday into the weekend. I'll talk
to you tomorrow morning, eighteen forty. Have a good weekend, everybody.
Speaker 2 (39:04):
Thanks for listening to On Air with Ryan Seacrest.
Speaker 3 (39:07):
Make sure to subscribe, and we'll talk to you again Monday.
