Speaker 1 (00:01):
I like it and put a smile on our face.
One of two point seven Kiss FM. That is new
music from twenty one pilots. Actually, Josh Dunn is joining
us right now from twenty one pilots.

Speaker 2 (00:14):
Hello, d how are you?

Speaker 3 (00:16):
I'm great? How are you?

Speaker 2 (00:18):
It's good to see. I'm well thinking.

Speaker 1 (00:19):
We just played the craving, so give us a second
to come off with that fun backside another of my
two favorite songs.

Speaker 2 (00:26):
Nice.

Speaker 3 (00:27):
Yeah, those are two good songs I think.

Speaker 2 (00:29):
Now, is it, Tenny?

Speaker 1 (00:30):
Is it awkward having a best friend on the air here,
because I know you guys. You guys go way back
and just way back.

Speaker 3 (00:39):
Yeah, we do. It's yeah. I mean I don't feel
awkward to you.

Speaker 4 (00:44):
No, I mean I feel like we've been best friends
since we were like children.

Speaker 1 (00:48):
Can you tell us how you met and where this
started as best friends.

Speaker 4 (00:51):
We met at a wedding. We were both attending a
wedding and it was a destination, so we all spent
like the weekend together and and meet my fiance and
I really just fell in love with Josh. We just
he was so cool and he's just such a really
nice guy, and we felt like we've been keeping up
with you ever since we met you and we were

(01:12):
talking about your directorial debut in the music video and
a nice Yeah, we just really really think you're just
a special special person.

Speaker 2 (01:21):
Guys, come on, tell us who you really are?

Speaker 4 (01:26):
Then, Yeah, you're like fishing and I don't know, it's
just a really fun weekend.

Speaker 3 (01:31):
Yeah, it was really cool. Where where even were we? Colorado, Colorado?

Speaker 4 (01:37):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (01:37):
Yeah, it was our friend's wedding. We're we're all staying
in these cabins and I did fly fishing for the
first time and I caught some fish and yeah, I
mean were The rest is history and now we're now
we're just best friends.

Speaker 1 (01:53):
But Josh, do people like, do you get nervous about
going to things like that's so nice because people want
you to play?

Speaker 5 (02:01):
Well, I don't really, I don't really, I don't. The
good thing is I don't travel with my drums usually.

Speaker 2 (02:07):
But there's always a sat nearby.

Speaker 3 (02:09):
Yeah, that is true.

Speaker 5 (02:11):
I think if if I were, uh, you know, my
bandmate Tyler, who doesn't leave his house ever without it,
then I would I would.

Speaker 3 (02:23):
No, not really, but it's love that thing, that is true.

Speaker 5 (02:27):
Yeah, you could just you could just walk around with
that thing and uh, you know, play Wonderwall whilever where.

Speaker 3 (02:32):
You go.

Speaker 1 (02:33):
Josh Doub for twenty one Pilot's a new album, Clancy
is out. We just played that track to Craving. Let
me put here's the other one I was talking about
a second ago. Just a little taste.

Speaker 4 (02:45):
Side to stromside shake this again?

Speaker 2 (02:53):
Right, it's not a just just listening to it makes
me cooler?

Speaker 3 (02:58):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (02:59):
Literally? How did so how do you how do.

Speaker 1 (03:01):
You look at Clancy? Like, how do you view the
album when you when you talk about it?

Speaker 3 (03:06):
Well, you know what I think?

Speaker 5 (03:08):
You know, I think about when I listened to an album,
even if it's not my band, I think about performing
the songs live, what would that feel like?

Speaker 3 (03:19):
Also seeing it live? What would that be like?

Speaker 5 (03:23):
And so a lot of times I kind of like
I'll view an album through that lens. And and this album,
I I mean, we released it this week. I've been
living with these songs for a while, but like, what's
funny is for the first time yesterday I started at
the beginning and listened to it all the way through

(03:43):
in my house and it was a completely different feeling
from you know, the times that Tyler and I would
go listen and put in mixed notes, and you know,
once it's kind of like, once you're done with all
that and then it's release, it's a whole other It
just kind of is a whole other thing.

Speaker 3 (04:04):
So I listened to it and I think, I'm I'm really.

Speaker 5 (04:08):
Excited about the journey from start to finish on that
album and excited to play you know, a good handful
of these songs.

Speaker 1 (04:15):
What did It's a twenty minth pilots, Josh done with
this Now new album is clan C. What are the
two songs that you kind of fans expect you to
play no matter where you are in the world, you
can't go off stage without playing one or the other.

Speaker 3 (04:28):
Well, at this point, I think, you know, it depends
on where.

Speaker 5 (04:32):
But you know our song called stressed Out.

Speaker 3 (04:36):
You had that one ready to go.

Speaker 2 (04:38):
I a feeling you'd answer with it, yeah, that one, yeah, yeah, sure.

Speaker 5 (04:43):
Uh and then and then uh, I guess maybe maybe
at this point maybe Heathen's.

Speaker 2 (04:51):
Right right there.

Speaker 3 (04:52):
I knew he called it, yeah.

Speaker 2 (04:55):
But it's but do you ever do you ever skip?
You don't always do them.

Speaker 5 (05:00):
I've talked to so many bands or not talked to
I've I've heard you know, interviews or whatever. Bands who
are just like, yeah, this is our this is our
big song and we hate playing it, and Tyler and
I do not feel that way.

Speaker 3 (05:12):
Really.

Speaker 5 (05:13):
I don't think about any of these songs that's just
like wow, yeah it's cool, it's I mean. But but
I will say that none of these songs were written
to be like a smash hit. I think they every
song is really written to exist on an album, uh in,
you know, and fit on that album in a way
where if it was taken off it wouldn't it wouldn't

(05:35):
make a lot of sense. So I think that we
put as much care into into every other song on
the album as stressed Out, and and as much care
into Stressed Out as we did every other song, and.

Speaker 3 (05:50):
That that song just happened to get really big.

Speaker 5 (05:54):
And so yeah, I don't feel, you know, like like
some some bands or artists can not always do. But
sometimes I can feel a little bit of a resentment
toward a song for some reason, and we love all
those songs.

Speaker 2 (06:09):
Makes me so happy to hear you say that. I
have to know.

Speaker 1 (06:11):
I have to have you know that if you're listening,
you should know. Also, the Clancy World Tour the Into
It Dome in Los Angeles. That's in August, so check
it out. And all the new music is out too.
Best friend of Tanya, Josh, thank you so much for
coming on.

Speaker 2 (06:25):
It's a pleasure. You really are just the coolest. Continued success, bro,
We're happy for you.

Speaker 5 (06:31):
Thank you guys, and yeah, it's good to good to
see you again. And man, maybe maybe at the next
wedding Tanya first.

Speaker 4 (06:40):
Yea, hopefully it's ours that's next.

Speaker 3 (06:42):
Yeah, yeah, thanks again, Thank you guys.

Speaker 2 (06:47):
You got it.

Speaker 1 (06:48):
Yeah, check out the album. It's got great, great, great
stuff on it. Coming back here at one of two
