Speaker 6 (02:41):
All right, here we go. What Thanksgiving vegetables slash side
dish was grown in space? That is Courtning stuffing incorrect? Incorrect?
Speaker 2 (02:56):
Potato potato is correct.
Speaker 6 (02:58):
In nineteen ninety five, in collaboration between NASA and the
University of Wisconsin, potatoes were grown in space inside the
Columbia Space Shuttle.
Speaker 3 (03:05):
Wherever in space we can just carb up.
Speaker 2 (03:08):
We're good to.
Speaker 6 (03:08):
Go, love it all right? One to zero on average?
This is multiple choice on average. How many people attend
the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City? Is
it A one point five million, B three point five million,
C five point five million, or D six million? It's
Mario B B three point five million. That is correct.
(03:31):
Two more questions.
Speaker 2 (03:33):
How much?
Speaker 6 (03:34):
And this is closest without going over. How much did
the world's largest pumpkin pie weigh in pounds? Mario twenty
eight pounds Courtney the world's largest pumpkin pie.
Speaker 2 (03:48):
Pumpkin pie, not pumpkin pumpkin pie. See, I'm helping you.
Speaker 4 (03:51):
I don't even need to No, two hundred and fifty pounds.
Speaker 6 (03:55):
Courtney gets it at three thousand, six hundred and ninety
nine pounds.
Speaker 2 (03:59):
Wait what your beer?
Speaker 6 (04:02):
According according to the Guinness Book of World Records, the
pie made by the New Breemen Giant Pumpkin Growers in
Ohio in twenty ten, it weighed almost thirty seven hundred
pounds and was twenty feet in diameter.
Speaker 3 (04:14):
Oh my god, so yeah, that's literally one hundreds or.
Speaker 4 (04:17):
You said that game, I was going to say seven
hundred and fifty pounds so I was still off.
Speaker 3 (04:21):
I just I assume like one pumpkin and the biggest
pumpkin for the pie, right.
Speaker 6 (04:25):
So yeah, I miss multiple pumpkins. One last question, it
is still two to zero. This one will be crush
that pie.
Speaker 2 (04:30):
By the way, this.
Speaker 6 (04:31):
One will be worth ten points. So it's anyone's game.
What state raises the most turkeys? Mario Texas incorrect? According
Utah incorrect? Minnesota.
Speaker 1 (04:47):
Happy Holidays from the entire on with Mario fam more
fest and fun coming.

to fire up.
Speaker 3 (05:16):
The zoom and chat with the hilarious Judy Greer, who's
got a fun new holiday movie out right now, the.
Speaker 4 (05:21):
Best Christmas pageant ever. Judy joins us with a scoop
on that and more.
Speaker 3 (05:25):
Next, it's up here on Mario Lopez joining me right
now on zoom.
Speaker 2 (05:30):
Actress Judy Greer.
Speaker 4 (05:31):
How are you, Judy, Ollie, I'm so good.
Speaker 2 (05:34):
How are you well?
Speaker 3 (05:36):
Thank you and congrats on your new Christmas comedy called
the Best Christmas Pageant Ever. It looks pretty funny. What's
going on in this one?
Speaker 5 (05:46):
Well, it is about a small town Christmas pageant that
has been directed by the same woman for many, many,
many years, and she she can't do it because of
an injury, and I reluctantly volunteer to direct the pageant,
and everyone's worried about it.
Speaker 7 (06:04):
And it turns out that like the naughty.
Speaker 5 (06:07):
Kids in town, like the kids from the other side
of the tracks, all volunteer to play all the lead roles,
and the town is in an uproar. And then, of
course it's aptly named because it turns into the best
Christmas pageant ever.
Speaker 7 (06:21):
And I think, sort of.
Speaker 5 (06:22):
Like bigger picture themes, you know, which I'm always interested
in when I'm working, is like about like you know,
it's about like hypocrisy, it's about welcoming in the other
it's about like opening your heart to something that like
you're not familiar with. It's about like like loving everybody,
and I.
Speaker 7 (06:43):
Think we achieved it. I think people are getting out
of it.
Speaker 3 (06:46):
Yeah, and I heard it's also got a cool nostalgic,
old school classic Christmas movie vibe to it.
Speaker 5 (06:52):
Yeah, Winnipeg we shot. It's like kind of a like
a local about how every Christmas movie is shot in Winnipeg.
Speaker 7 (07:03):
But it's true and they're ready for it. They have
lots of decorations.
Speaker 5 (07:07):
We shot our Christmas movie unlike a lot of other
Christmas movies during actual Christmas time, so nice.
Speaker 7 (07:13):
It was already cold. We didn't have to pretend.
Speaker 5 (07:17):
Yeah, all of our hats and coats were real and
they were needed.
Speaker 7 (07:21):
They were required for sure.
Speaker 2 (07:23):
That's fantastic. Congrats on that.
Speaker 3 (07:26):
Okay, hang time for me. We're gonna take quick break,
come back with Judy Greer.
Speaker 1 (07:29):
Happy Holidays to you and yours. This is on with
Mario Lopez.
Speaker 6 (07:33):
We'll be right.
Speaker 3 (07:34):
Back getting back to Judy Greer, who's on Zoom with
us this hour. Mario Lopez here been talking about the
best Christmas pageant ever.
Speaker 2 (07:41):
But I know you're also in the movie The Long Walk.
Speaker 7 (07:44):
Yeah, Stephen King very different vibe.
Speaker 2 (07:48):
I like it diverse. What is that about?
Speaker 7 (07:50):
So sad?
Speaker 5 (07:51):
I mean I haven't been the movie yet, but the
script and the book are so sad. It was written
by Stephen King in nineteen seventy nine and rich calliation
to the Vietnam War.
Speaker 7 (08:01):
It is a.
Speaker 5 (08:04):
It's a book about and the movie is about these
boys who basically you walk until you collapse, and the
last kids standing is the winner, and he wins money,
and he wins.
Speaker 7 (08:19):
One wish to be granted.
Speaker 5 (08:21):
And it's sort of this utopian or I don't know, dystope.
Speaker 7 (08:25):
It's not utopian. It's dystopian. Sorry, I went to acting school.
Speaker 5 (08:29):
It's dystopian in the sense that, like, you know, it's uh,
it's neither in the.
Speaker 7 (08:35):
Past or the future. It is really dark. It's really sad.
It's really.
Speaker 5 (08:41):
You know, there's like some elevated technology and other times
there's not technology. And it's so dark and it's so
weird that I was back like shooting that in the
heat and humidity of the summer in Winnipeg.
Speaker 7 (08:58):
Again. I can't get enough of When to pay All right?
Speaker 3 (09:01):
Well more with Judy Greer coming up after a little
more music. Mario Lopez been talking best Christmas Pageant ever
with actress Judy Greer, but this project also sounds pretty cool.
Rambler and the Birdie Machine work with Owen Wilson and
Mark Maren. I know that's that's an Apple TV. You
play his ex wife right in this one?
Speaker 7 (09:21):
Yes i am.
Speaker 5 (09:22):
I'm getting really good at playing people's ex wives, although
I've never been an ex wife. Knock on wood and Yes,
Owen Wilson plays Price. He is a retired pro golfer
who had a breakdown and quit golfing and is trying
(09:45):
to put the pieces of his life back together. Mark
Maren plays his best friend, and I think coach, do
you think that he was his caddie? But and then
he and sort of like in this like everything's coming
to a head. When we meet Owen's character, he's been
(10:08):
told by me, his ex wife, that he has to
move out of their shared house so that she can
sell it. He he's having financial issues, just all these
things are you know, he's just really not like dealing
with the trauma that he experienced. And so he sees
this young kid and he sees him hitting some golf balls,
sort of like secretly hitting golf balls at a country
(10:30):
club and he's incredible, and so he's like, please, let
me take you under my wing, let me take you
on tours.
Speaker 7 (10:36):
Let's like, let's get you out there. And this is
feeling like a real redemption story. And I had always wanted.
Speaker 5 (10:47):
To work with Owen Wilson, like I love Owen Wilson,
and now I can say that I love Owen Wilson
as a person, but I was such a huge fan
of his for I mean years, my co star and.
Speaker 7 (10:59):
The best Christmas pageant ever.
Speaker 5 (11:01):
Pete Holmes tells me I talk too much in interviews,
so you can tell me to shut up and ask
me more questions.
Speaker 7 (11:08):
You never stopped talking.
Speaker 3 (11:10):
Judy hank Ti, You're gonna play a few songs and
then back to or rab it up with Judy, rabb
it up with hilarious Judy Greer who.
Speaker 2 (11:18):
Was on Zoom with us Mario Lopez here and Judy
before you go.
Speaker 7 (11:20):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (11:21):
You've been in so many different TV shows and movies
over the years. What set was the wildest, most fun
that you worked on? I don't want to say the
best is what was the funniest?
Speaker 7 (11:31):
Fair? Fair not the best, but the funniest.
Speaker 5 (11:35):
You know, I did a TV show for two seasons
on FX called Married.
Speaker 7 (11:41):
Lash.
Speaker 5 (11:41):
Maybe that was like ten years ago, Like I don't
even remember it was. It was so fun, it was
so wild. It was like we were shooting in Valley Village.
Mostly we were in the valley and we were on FX,
but it felt like we were shooting an independent movie
like we were. So we were just like struggling to
(12:04):
make our days. We were working so hard. We were
shooting like three episodes at once. Everyone thought they were
going crazy. And then there used to be this bar.
I don't so the Sportsman's Lodge is now like a
whole different vibe, right, But before they turned it into
a shopping mall, it was like an old timey hotel
(12:25):
and there was a bar there called the River Rock.
Speaker 7 (12:28):
And I am not kidding.
Speaker 5 (12:29):
I think we drank there every single night after work,
like we were all so stressed out and we were
having so much fun. But every night our base camp
was at the old Sportsman's Lodge parking lot, so we
would go there in the morning, get ready, and then
they would drive us in vans deep into the valley
to shoot all day long. We would never go back
to our trailers except to change at the end of
the night, and then we would drink a river rock.
(12:50):
I think that's what it was called. Anyway, it was
so fun. We did so much fun. I don't know,
I really I remember that as being like a crazy set.
Speaker 2 (12:59):
You remember it, vivid that's awesome.
Speaker 5 (13:01):
Yeah, I remember a lot of it until we got
to the bar vividly. Yes.
Speaker 2 (13:04):
That cart well.
Speaker 3 (13:07):

in person soon. Meanwhile, listen, if you're looking for a

Speaker 3 (14:56):
What is the topic today at Courtney's Corner Chris Garland.
Speaker 4 (15:01):
So here's how to hang it around the house without
ruining your walls with tape or nails. The secret is
shower curtain rods. You just put a rod between two
walls and then you cover it with enough garland so
you can't see it. And if you want a fluffy
or a more natural look, alternate the direction of the
garland when you wrap it.
Speaker 2 (15:20):
Well, that's pretty clever right now.
Speaker 4 (15:21):
I saw this on the Tiki Talk.
Speaker 2 (15:23):

Speaker 3 (16:27):
Huh you don't, no, No, your mom made corn bread,
not cake. Corn Bread is kind of like a cake.
Speaker 2 (16:32):
It's kind of thick. Wow, it could be. Yeah. It
was a big old piece of corn bread.
Speaker 3 (16:35):
It was good, it was really good, but it was
like cake.
Speaker 2 (16:38):
It was cake thickness.
Speaker 4 (16:40):
Yeah, you know.
Speaker 3 (16:41):
And that's why I like a cup cake, because just
a little piece of a cake that's the way to go.
Speaker 4 (16:45):
So you I'd rather have corn bread. What's the National
corn Bread Day?
Speaker 2 (16:48):

Rita Aura, Rita is either thirty four or thirty five.
Speaker 3 (17:17):
No, I think she is thirty two.
Speaker 6 (17:19):
She is thirty four. Ooh, okay, one of your auras
was correct. Natasha betting Field unwritten.
Speaker 2 (17:25):
Yes, I'm gonna bet she is hitting the fourth level forty.
Speaker 4 (17:32):
Well, since I'm on the betting field against you, she

Speaker 6 (17:36):
She is forty three?
Speaker 8 (17:37):
Wow, Wow, all right, it's actually a musical day. DJ Khaled,
DJ Khalid another one.
Speaker 6 (17:48):
He is.
Speaker 4 (17:51):
Forty six.
Speaker 3 (17:55):
It's weird because DJ Khaled has looked the same forever.
I'm gonna say a DJ cowed is forty nine.
Speaker 6 (18:03):
Well, Courtney, you played yourself and you didn't because he
is forty nine.
Speaker 8 (18:07):
Wow.

Walk of Fame and now the parade, and they give

Speaker 6 (20:02):
All right.
Speaker 2 (20:03):
Let's get back to the music on borrow Courtney Lopez
more music on the way, but first to look at
the buzz.
Speaker 3 (20:09):
Because the game show world has lost a legend Hollywood
Buzz A bit of sad news breaking over the weekend.
Legendary game show host Chuck Woolery Well I Absolutely Love
back in the Day, has passed away at the age
of eighty three. Chuck was, of course, the original host
for both the daytime version of Will of Fortune and
Love Connection, as well as Scrabble and Greed on Fox
(20:32):
and Lingo on the Game Show Network. Fun fact, he
was also a Navy veteran who started his entertainment career
in music. I really liked him as a host and
I forever connect him to Love Connection. And he had
his famous slogan we'll be back in two and two.
Speaker 2 (20:49):
Yahtick around.
Speaker 3 (20:50):
I remember that too, You remember that.
Speaker 4 (20:52):
Of course, that's just like a staple. We say that
all the time, exactly, just randomly.
Speaker 2 (20:58):
Yeah, we'll be back in two and two.
Speaker 3 (20:59):
So rest in peace and we'll see you into and Tua.
Speaker 5 (21:03):
Co that more.
Speaker 1 (21:04):
Mario Lopez coming up.
