Speaker 4 (00:14):
We've also got a new case in Courtney's court and
all the latest Hollywood buzz. But up next, our Good
Deed of the Week. You are on with Mario and
Courtney Lopez.

Speaker 2 (00:22):
Yo, Mario, Courtney Lopez. Every week we celebrate someone who's
done a good deed. Who are we putting in the
spotlight today?

Speaker 4 (00:28):
Selena Gomez.

Speaker 5 (00:29):
Okay, the one and only.

Speaker 1 (00:30):
So.

Speaker 4 (00:30):
Last week, the girls volleyball coach at Colorado's Tell You
Ride High tagged Selena in an IG post and it
said Selena Gomez please sing the national anthem at one
of our home games. They were completely shocked when she
actually showed up on Saturday, she took photos with the
players and even their opponents. Selena happened to be in
town promoting her newest film, Amelia Perez. She says they asked,

(00:54):
so she came.

Speaker 5 (00:55):
Hey, you never know unless yes. Very cool of her.

Speaker 2 (00:57):
Nice, But did she sing I don't think Sol's would
have heard it, but hey, she showed up.

Speaker 5 (01:02):
She showed up.

Speaker 1 (01:03):
Four Mario Lopez, coming up, ya, Mark Courtney Lopez.

Speaker 3 (01:07):
Let's take a look at what's on TV today?

Speaker 5 (01:08):
What do we got?

Speaker 4 (01:09):
Hulu has season two of Tell Me Lies.

Speaker 5 (01:11):
Tell Lucy is.

Speaker 4 (01:14):
Back for sophomore years, trying to rid herself of Steven
once and for all.

Speaker 5 (01:19):
You did not know that Fleetwood Max song?

Speaker 4 (01:21):
Come on, I know that song.

Speaker 5 (01:22):
I was just yeah, right, you were just ignoring you.

Speaker 6 (01:24):
You're trying to tell us about the show.

Speaker 4 (01:25):
I was trying to tell you about the show and
pretending I wasn't hearing that.

Speaker 3 (01:30):
Wow, what else?

Speaker 4 (01:32):
Or Lee singing? Apple TV has season four of Slow Horses.
A London bombing puts Gary Oldman's team under new pressure.

Speaker 5 (01:40):
Wow season four and Gary Oldman has one of my
favorite actors. I'm so surprised I haven't caught up with this.
We got to get into this.

Speaker 4 (01:47):
Max premieres How Not to Get rid of a Body? Okay,
criminal minds who go to great lengths to dispose of
their victims, and how detectives solve these crimes.

Speaker 5 (01:57):
Ooh, okay, that could be interesting.

Speaker 3 (02:00):
Mario Courtney Lopez.

Speaker 5 (02:01):
Here, we got something special for new music Friday.

Speaker 2 (02:03):
This week we got the world premiere of the new
Halsea single Ego, just in time for the iHeartRadio Music Festival.

Speaker 4 (02:09):
Love Her no doubt she'll be performing it live in
Vegas just in two weeks. You guys will be playing
Ego all throughout the day on Friday, so make sure
you are among the first to hear it.

Speaker 1 (02:21):
All.

Speaker 2 (02:21):
Mariol Courtney Lopez time to dish out some common sense.

Speaker 5 (02:23):
Just as all Rise Courtney's court is nounce session.

Speaker 3 (02:27):
So today's case comes.

Speaker 5 (02:29):
From at any LORI and they say.

Speaker 2 (02:31):
Last year, I found a week's long text thread between
my husband and my friend. Nothing physical, but my husband.

Speaker 5 (02:36):
Never mentioned it to me.

Speaker 2 (02:37):
He said he was just being a good friend while
she was going through marriage problems. I cut her out
of my life because it felt like an emotional affair.
Now she wants to reconnect. Does she deserve a second chance?

Speaker 4 (02:48):
Hm?

Speaker 2 (02:49):
Hm?

Speaker 5 (02:50):
So many questions for me?

Speaker 6 (02:51):
I do?

Speaker 4 (02:51):
I have so many questions and mutual friends?

Speaker 5 (02:53):
Was she your friend first?

Speaker 2 (02:54):
With me?

Speaker 3 (02:55):
Friends first?

Speaker 5 (02:56):
That means a lot.

Speaker 4 (02:56):
I think you know your friends text me sure, and
it's obviously completely innocent. I don't know, but if she
says it was nothing, she read the text. So obviously
if you read it and you didn't feel like anything
was wrong, you just didn't like the fact that they
were talking and you weren't aware of it.

Speaker 2 (03:20):
I think she might be jumping the gun because you're right,
my friend says, I know, they're just probably one of
one's advice.

Speaker 5 (03:24):
It's not a good deal.

Speaker 4 (03:25):
I'm not here, yeah, and I don't tell you every time, right,
it's not me, and it's not because I'm omitting it.
I just well, I don't think that important.

Speaker 7 (03:32):
But also she says, it felt like an emotional affair.
Why not have a conversation with your husband and the woman,
I mean separately or whatever, but find out what it
was about.

Speaker 4 (03:40):
Oh, I guarantee she had a conversation with her husband.

Speaker 7 (03:43):
Well, the husband, yes, But I'm saying, have a conversation
with a friend and see what the deal was.

Speaker 5 (03:47):
Right.

Speaker 4 (03:47):
But obviously, if you're feeling something isn't right or there
was a line cross, then no, you don't give second
chances because how do you trust. But you know, I
guess at the end of the day, I would just
be honest with the husband and try not to jump
to inclusions and maybe it is a friendship worth saving.

Speaker 1 (04:04):
Get us up on Twitter and on with Mario and
hang on more. Mario Lopez on.

Speaker 2 (04:09):
The way, Mario Lopez here with my wife, Courtney Adele
has ten shows left in her Vegas residency. But then
she says she's taken a long sabbatical. She says she
spent the last seven years building a new life for
herself and now she wants to live it.

Speaker 5 (04:22):
Okay, good for.

Speaker 4 (04:23):
Her, that makes sense. In that time, she's gotten engaged
to sports agent Rich Paul and has talked about wanting
to expand her family.

Speaker 6 (04:30):
So you know, she ays, Sallan's house, It's right.

Speaker 5 (04:34):
Good for you, Adele, Get in there, Mario.

Speaker 2 (04:37):

Speaker 4 (04:57):
This is from at Ermine Iza Jam on YouTube. She said,
I loved your Rick Astley interview. I think he should
sing on the next James Bond theme. It's time for
a revival.

Speaker 2 (05:09):
Rick was such a pleasant guest, really nice guy, looks
fantastic the same actually and.

Speaker 5 (05:16):
Still sounds good. So I am not opposed to that
at all.

Speaker 1 (05:19):
More fun on the way on with Mario Lopez.

Speaker 5 (05:23):
You are, Mario Courtney Lopez. Time for today's birthday shoutouts.
We're gonna try to guess you a.

Speaker 7 (05:26):
Just stand up and creator of Two Broke Girls. Whitney Cummings, Oh,
frequent guest.

Speaker 4 (05:32):
Yeah, I believe she's really coming into her womanhood and
she is forty eight.

Speaker 2 (05:40):
I believe she's a new mom. I'm gonna say she's
forty two.

Speaker 6 (05:44):
Forty two is correct?

Speaker 3 (05:46):
Oh, pretty good?

Speaker 6 (05:48):
Star of Austin Powers three Beyonce.

Speaker 2 (05:52):
Beyonce Knowles is, Oh yeah, she has a lot of
same So for Noles Carter, isn't it Nols Carter Beyonce
Noles is also forty two?

Speaker 4 (06:01):
No, she's forty three.

Speaker 6 (06:02):
She is forty three?

Speaker 1 (06:03):
Wow?

Speaker 7 (06:03):
Well pretty so and from in Living Color in Major Pain,
Damon Wayns.

Speaker 4 (06:09):
Damon Wayns, he's weighing in.

Speaker 5 (06:12):
At I guess on his way fifty five. No, Damon Wayns.

Speaker 4 (06:19):
I'm sorry. That was good.

Speaker 2 (06:20):
We've had Wayn's junior in here. My guy's got to
be sixty one.

Speaker 6 (06:24):
We had Damon in here as well, right before the pandemic,
and he is sixty four.

Speaker 1 (06:28):
Okay, more Mario Lopez coming up?

Speaker 2 (06:32):
Why Courtney Lopez here was some quick buzz. Britney spears
dipping her toes into movies again. She says she's working
with Wicked director John Chew on a musical where she'll
play in extremely intelligent character.

Speaker 6 (06:44):
She's the only source of this information.

Speaker 3 (06:46):
This is okay.

Speaker 5 (06:47):
Brittany's last acting.

Speaker 2 (06:48):
Credit was a voice roll in the twenty nineteen movie
Corporate Animals. I was not familiar with that. I get
the sense that Brittany is just committed to doing her
dance videos in her living room. I mean, and I
didn't think she wanted to, like, really work work anymore.

Speaker 5 (07:03):
But okay, maybe she's had to change of heart.

Speaker 2 (07:18):
Mario Courtney Lopez here, just a little more than two
weeks into the iHeartRadio Music Festival, and we're bringing back
our house of music, just steps outside.

Speaker 5 (07:26):
Of the Tmobile Arena in Vegas, and it's totally free.

Speaker 4 (07:29):
It features thirteen mixed reality rooms inspired by artists like Shahboozy,
When Stefani, Camila Cabo, and Doja Cat. It's free to enter,
open to all, so check it out September twentieth and
twenty first, starting at four pm till one am. You
can get more infun on with Mario dot com slash
House of Music.

Speaker 2 (07:48):
Yoh, Mario Courtney Lopez. We're in a new golden age
of TV, so Rolling Stone has attempted to create a
list of the best TV episodes of all time. This
is a bold, bold list right here. Let's see what
they have for their top five.

Speaker 4 (08:04):
All right, So number five is Seinfeld.

Speaker 2 (08:06):
So hold on before you continue. They're not breaking it
down from drama to comedy.

Speaker 6 (08:12):
This is just TV shows, TV shows.

Speaker 5 (08:15):
Need I think it should be categorized, but that's just.

Speaker 4 (08:17):
Making These are specific episodes. Sure, okay, So number five
is Seinfeld and the episode is called the Contest from
nineteen ninety two. It gave us the phrase master of
your Domain.

Speaker 5 (08:29):
Okay. Again, as far as comedy.

Speaker 4 (08:31):
All right, number four we have The Sopranos College Season one.
Tony tracks down a rat while taking a meadow on
a tour of colleges in Maine, and Carmela spent a
tempting night with father Phil.

Speaker 2 (08:45):
Yes, remember that solid episode really sort of solidified Sopranos
as a major player.

Speaker 4 (08:51):
Number three is the leftover come on International Assassin from
season two. Justin Thureau swallows a lethal dose of poison
and Halluca to Nate that he's a hired killer.

Speaker 5 (09:02):
Oh that sounds pretty good.

Speaker 1 (09:03):
Actually.

Speaker 3 (09:04):
Number two see You Jump the Gun.

Speaker 4 (09:07):
Number two is the Simpsons.

Speaker 5 (09:09):
Again, another category they should have animated.

Speaker 4 (09:12):
The episode was Last Exit to Springfield from nineteen ninety three,
when Lisa needs new braces, Homer leads the Nuclear Plan
employees on a strike.

Speaker 7 (09:20):
I'm sorry, no, this is like early Simpsons. This is
not one of the best episodes ever of TV.

Speaker 4 (09:25):
And Number one Breaking Bad Ozzie Mendez from season five.
Skyler and Flynn finally realize who Walt has become and
Jesse learns that Walt was responsible for Jane's death.

Speaker 2 (09:38):
Yeah, that was a heavy duty sort of episode, and
I have no problem with Breaking Bad being there.

Speaker 5 (09:43):
Again, it was drama.

Speaker 2 (09:44):
But if you don't include the Red Wedding from Game
of Thrones, that was the most shocking episode of television
I think I've ever seen made me sit up in
the couch and like, yo, this show does not mess around.

Speaker 5 (09:56):
That's what made it iconic.

Speaker 6 (09:58):
That and also the episode of Saved by the Bell.

Speaker 2 (10:01):
There's that the common category. And also True Detective. The
last that was you Got included the first season right correct,
the first the first season, the first season.

Speaker 1 (10:12):
More Mario Lopez coming up.

Speaker 2 (10:15):
Mario Lopez here, and my wife Courtney and the HOWK
Tour girl who has really managed to extend these fifteen
minutes is now getting into podcasting. Haley Welch is her
real name. She's signed with Jake Paul's Platform Better to
launch the show talk to Oh my Gosh. The first
episode comes out on Tuesday. She was doing an interview.

(10:37):
It was kind of funny. She's kind of charming, but
I still I'm blown away by the attention she's getting.

Speaker 5 (10:42):
When she was talking about jay.

Speaker 2 (10:44):
Z and Shaky's song from New York, she goes, what
did she say?

Speaker 7 (10:48):
It was the songs in something what did wrong?

Speaker 6 (10:54):
But it was so exciting.

Speaker 3 (10:57):
Because it sounded like it. I was like, oh, she
got that was kind of fun.

Speaker 6 (11:00):
We'll have to find and put on the website.

Speaker 2 (11:01):
Yeah, it was really funny. Okay, you need to listen
to this show as a podcast as well.

Speaker 5 (11:04):
Just search on with Mario.

Speaker 3 (11:07):
Mario Courtney Lopez.

Speaker 2 (11:08):
Here you got your first look at the reunion special
for season two of the.

Speaker 3 (11:11):
Real Housewives of Dubai.

Speaker 2 (11:12):
The ladies are all coordinated in red dresses and they
say it's going to be a blood bat.

Speaker 4 (11:17):
Oh, I see what you did there. One of them
is accused of having a secret sugar daddy. The two
part reunion debuts Tuesday on Bravo, but you can see
the trailer now at I'm with Mario dot Com.

Speaker 2 (11:28):
Y'all Mario Courtney Lopez, and this is something I'm posted
on my socials.

Speaker 5 (11:31):
We really need to stop worrying about things.

Speaker 2 (11:34):
Research says eighty five percent of the things that we
worry about never actually happened, and of the fifteen percent
of worries that actually do take place, four out of
five people say the challenge was easier to handle than expected. Listen,
most of the time, you can't do anything about it anyway,
so don't spend time worrying about.

Speaker 4 (11:52):
It before it happens.

Speaker 2 (11:53):
Before it happens, to deal with it when it does.
And channel that energy there. I say that as a
worrier though.

Speaker 4 (11:59):
Right, But you know what, I think the difference is,
you're also a great positive manifestor true. So I think
people need to concentrate more on doing those sorts of things.

Speaker 5 (12:11):
Yep.

Speaker 4 (12:12):
Keep it positive than taking the negative route.

Speaker 1 (12:14):
Yep.

Speaker 2 (12:15):
More Mario Lopez on the way, what on, Mario Courtney Lopez,
You're what obscure holiday we celebrating today?

Speaker 4 (12:21):
It is National Wildlife Day.

Speaker 2 (12:23):
Shout out to all the wildlife out there dealing with
this heat well, especially in the West Coast, We've been
dealing with some serious fires and a heat wave that
is just next level. It's supposed to be hitting one
hundred and twelve in the LA area. So Southern Cali
be safe out there and all the wildlife.

Speaker 3 (12:41):
Mario Courtney Lopez Here, let's take a liqu What's.

Speaker 5 (12:43):
Trending on the iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 4 (12:44):
Reggaetn star Nikki Jams talks about how packing groceries and
freestyling at a supermarket helped launch his career. You can
search on Purpose with Jay Shetty to hear that. I
think cool, When did he do this? Because I've been
dancing in the grocery store. And it hasn't launched.

Speaker 5 (13:00):
My career, not yet. You need to step it up.

Speaker 4 (13:02):
Don Cheedo goes deep on his return to performing jazz music.
You can check that out on Conan O'Brien Needs a Friend.
It's on Cheeto Nice and Jim Gaffigan exposes his green
thumb to us. You can listen to that and more
by searching for on with Mario.

Speaker 3 (13:19):

Speaker 2 (13:20):
And if you're sad that pop girl summer is over,
We're gonna keep it going.

Speaker 3 (13:24):
Thanks to our friends at ELF.

Speaker 2 (13:26):
They are dropping get Ready with Music, the Ultimate get
Ready with Me album. It's coming out on October fifteenth,

and music video on ELF Beauty's YouTube page. We can't
wait to hear the rest of the album, so get

Speaker 1 (14:00):
Mario Lopez will be right back.

Speaker 3 (14:02):
What on Mario Courtney Lopez.

Speaker 2 (14:04):
Here, we're less than forty eight hours from new music Friday.

Speaker 3 (14:07):
Can we look at by something.

Speaker 5 (14:08):
In store for us?

Speaker 2 (14:09):
A new version of her latest album, See Xoxo.

Speaker 4 (14:13):
He's calling it the Magic City Edition and it will
include a new song called Godspeed. You can look for
it on Friday on your iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 3 (14:22):
Mario Courtney Lopez, here was some quick buzz for you.

Speaker 2 (14:25):
Jax Taylor from Vanderpump Rules and the Valley has revealed
a pair of mental health struggles. He says he's been
diagnosed with bipolar disorder and PTSD. I just spent a
month in an inpatient treatment facility. He's also in the
middle of the divorce from fellow cast member Brittany Cartwright.

Speaker 5 (14:44):
Didn't we see these people not too long ago?

Speaker 3 (14:46):
We did.

Speaker 4 (14:46):
We saw Jack's at his bar, Jackson's Studio City Bar.
We read a friend's birthday right right.

Speaker 5 (14:53):
Yeah, he was with the wife right well, he.

Speaker 4 (14:55):
Was, but that was right before they announced their oh separation.

Speaker 5 (14:59):
That's sad to hear.

Speaker 4 (15:00):
It is very sad because they have a little boy
and I believe he's three going on four.

Speaker 2 (15:04):
So best of luck, jo Maril Courtney Lopez. Time now
for one last thing. There's a new trend in nightlife
sober bars. There are places that only serve mocktails without
the alcohol. They're propping up in New York, La, Austin, Orlando, Atlanta.
Owners want them to be community hubs where people can
have fun without alcohol.

Speaker 5 (15:25):
Wouldn't that just be a coffee shop, but with different
types of drinks?

Speaker 4 (15:30):
I mean, I guess so. But you can get a
mocktail anywhere.

Speaker 3 (15:33):
Yeah, if you just ask for that.

Speaker 5 (15:35):
You can just get a mocktail at a bar. You're
exactly right.

Speaker 4 (15:37):
I had one the other night. I had a non
alcoholic rose because I had to after our dinner, I
had to go pick up gas.

Speaker 2 (15:43):
You were still able to participate, and you were still
able to drive.

Speaker 5 (15:47):
Yeah, that's the way to go. I guess if you.

Speaker 2 (15:49):
Don't want to hang out with other people who are drinking,
maybe acting a little silly or obnoxious, But I don't
know that. The whole thing about drinking is you're supposed
to loosen up a little bit and maybe become.

Speaker 7 (16:00):
Some people don't carry them, so so I like to
have the option of alcohol if it is there, Like,
at least have the option.

Speaker 3 (16:05):
Yeah, not at a sober bar.

Speaker 1 (16:07):
More Mario Lopez coming up.

Speaker 2 (16:10):
All right, we're out here with the music continues all night.
We are back tomorrow to celebrate Throwback Thursday.

Speaker 4 (16:15):
Plus we'll have a New Life pack in Courtney's corner.
