Speaker 3 (00:21):

couple of days left to catch up. On the twenty
twenty four iHeartRadio Music Festival. This year's lineup included Big
Sean Camil, like A Bayo Doja, cad Dua Lipa, so
many more.

many superstars on one stage. It's currently streaming on Hulu,
but it goes away forever Sunday night, so you better
watch it.
Speaker 1 (00:42):
All right, let's get back to the music.
Speaker 3 (00:45):
You're on, Mario, Courtney Lopez. Let's take a look at
what's on TV today.
Speaker 4 (00:48):
Hulu and Disney Plus have Road Diary Bruce Springsteen and
the East Street Band. It's a talk about their latest tour.
Speaker 3 (00:55):
Okay, if you're a Boss fan, he's seventy five years old.
I got to give it to him. He looks in
great shapes.
Speaker 4 (01:00):
Netflix debuts The Last Night at Treymoor Beach, when a
tormented pianist is struck by lightning, he begins to have visions.
Speaker 1 (01:07):
Of his future.
Speaker 3 (01:09):
There's a premise.
Speaker 4 (01:10):
Apple TV premieres before a child psychiatrist meets a young
boy who seems to have a haunting connection to his past.
Speaker 3 (01:17):
So Doogie Houser but a psychiatrist?
Speaker 5 (01:19):
All right?
Speaker 3 (01:21):
Romarow Courtney Lovez. So I posted this the other day
and tag my sister. It said, they give you two
hundred million, but your sister got to go to jail
for a year. What would you do? I responded, Oh,
she's going to jail, but when she gets out, she's
gonna have a hundred million waiting on her. And my
sister took offense to that and said, you're so mean.
(01:41):
Why would she take a fit? I said, I just
got you. One hundred million dollars a year is nothing.
I would happily go for a year. A hundred million
substantial amount of money. The real question becomes, you're foolish
if you don't for a year. Seriously, anybody here would know.
Speaker 6 (01:55):
I would literally be on a plane right now to
turn my sister in.
Speaker 3 (01:58):
No, I'm talking about what you would do it yourself,
even if you could.
Speaker 4 (02:00):
Do it, I would stage a crime to turn my
to make my sister.
Speaker 6 (02:05):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (02:05):
But even about yourself, you would do a year.
Speaker 6 (02:09):
Und million or a hundred million.
Speaker 2 (02:10):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (02:10):
So the real question becomes, I think everyone would. The
real question becomes how low would you go? What would
be the number to go?
Speaker 7 (02:17):
A year?
Speaker 1 (02:17):
I would do it for fifty million.
Speaker 3 (02:18):
Would you do it for fifty million?
Speaker 1 (02:20):
Yes?
Speaker 6 (02:21):
Or a year in jail at your prison?
Speaker 3 (02:23):
Yes?
Speaker 6 (02:24):
I don't think I go. I don't think I go
below fifty million, So.
Speaker 3 (02:27):
Forty million, you're not doing it. See it. It's interesting
that you think I got homies.
Speaker 6 (02:33):
My line is thirty seven million, I got homies.
Speaker 3 (02:35):
That'd be like, what one point two? I'm there?
Speaker 1 (02:39):
I would go lower.
Speaker 2 (02:41):
More fun on the way on with Mario Lopez.
Speaker 3 (02:44):
Mario Courtney Lopez. Here was some quick buzz for you.
The Netflix show Beef is coming back for season two. Yay,
we love the first season. They've got a whole new cast.
Is time. It's going to star Oscar, Isaac and Carry
mull again. I like both of them. That's cool.
Speaker 1 (02:58):
I do like both of them. But we really liked
the first cast too.
Speaker 4 (03:01):
But we also love White Lotus and that's a different
cast every year. Apparently, the setting will be an elite
country club where a boss gets into an alarming fight
with his wife.
Speaker 1 (03:10):
Ali Wong is staying on as executive producer.
Speaker 4 (03:12):
The first season one to eight Emmys, including Outstanding Limited Series.
I think Ali Wong should just do like a cameo
or something.
Speaker 3 (03:19):
She was great in that. Oh, I like that. This
is going to be a White Lotus type show with
a similar premise, but with different casts. Oh that's Oh,
that's gonna be good. Maria Lopez here is celebrating something
every single day of the year. Today is National Breadstick Day.
Shout out to Olive Garden, who has endless amounts of
breadsticks that are being offered. At least they used to.
(03:41):
I don't know if they still do that.
Speaker 6 (03:42):
I don't know if they do it anymore. But when
they did, that was awesome.
Speaker 3 (03:45):
That was awesome. You you didn't really need a dinner
after that.
Speaker 6 (03:48):
I you technically have to order something, right, but something light.
Speaker 3 (03:54):

but it's it's fun.

big Tom Hardy fan, and he, like me, not only
does jiu jitsu, but he's got a girl and two boys.

Speaker 3 (06:46):
Coming up Mario Courtney Lopez here with details on the
next big Netflix stock It's going to be about the
Jerry Springer Show. They're calling it Fights Camera Action. That's
a great title, and it's going to future first hand
testimony from insiders and former guests.
Speaker 4 (07:01):
The show ran for twenty seven seasons from nineteen ninety
one to twenty eighteen. You can't believe that, but had
its cultural peak in the mid to late nineties. I
want to watch this because I used to put in
my VHS to record it. You could look for it
on January seventh.
Speaker 3 (07:16):
I got to know Jerry Springer pretty well. One of
the nicest guys ever, such a nice guy. He did
pass away unfortunately. Mario Courtney Lopez here, today's guest will
(07:38):
be zooming in any moment.
Speaker 5 (07:39):
Now.
Speaker 3 (07:39):
He's Canadian country singer Owen Wriggling. He's touring the US.
Right now, we get the inside scoop next, So bro,
Mario Lopez Jordan. Right now Canadian country music breakthrough Artists
of the Year, Owen Wriggling. What's going on on?
Speaker 7 (07:54):
Man, Nothing is going on.
Speaker 5 (07:56):
I'm just getting ready for a show this evening in
Nebraska and happy to be here talking with you, my friend.
Speaker 3 (08:02):
Well, I appreciate you taking the time. Congratulations. I know
you recently got married. Did you go did you go?
Big wedding intimate? What'd you think of the whole shebang?
Speaker 5 (08:13):
It was a much bigger wedding than I ever thought
I would have. I guess never put too much stunt
into my wedding as a kid growing up. But we had, like,
there was over three hundred people at my parents' farm.
Speaker 7 (08:24):
We had outside a.
Speaker 5 (08:25):
Big ten times the middle of a cornfield. It was
a pretty pretty awesome day. And yeah, I'm still still
riding the high. It was only two months ago, so
it's still pretty.
Speaker 3 (08:34):
Fresh, brand new. Well, congratulations, welcome to the club. The
latest single, Moonshines is climbing the charts right now. What
inspired this one? You have moonshiners in your family or
what I mean?
Speaker 5 (08:47):
I've I've definitely dabbled with moonshine growing up in high school.
Speaker 7 (08:50):
I'm from a town of one thousand people up in.
Speaker 5 (08:52):
The middle of nowhere in Ontario, Canada called mild May,
and certainly lots of moonshine footing around there. But no,
I definitely didn't run moonshine. Like the song kind of insinuates.
It's sort of a, you know, a bit of a
story song about you know, sort of what it might
have been like as a moonshine running back in the day.
And it's just kind of a fun, fun song to
(09:12):
open up the show. So yeah, it's cool that it's
it's outing and doing his thing.
Speaker 3 (09:16):
Nice man. I actually liked me some moonshine when done.
Speaker 7 (09:20):
Too. I had I had pickle moonshine in Nashville the
other week. Oh pickle very good.
Speaker 5 (09:24):
They got all kinds of flavors of moonshine now the moonshine.
I remember having at like a high school party back
in the day.
Speaker 7 (09:30):
Was it tasted like gasoline? It was disgusting.
Speaker 3 (09:33):
Yeah, No, I had someone like fermented and peaches or
something that was good. Well, we had a lot to
talk about. We got to take a break. I'm gonna
come back with Owen Wrigling in just a moment.
Speaker 2 (09:40):
More fun on the way on with Mario Lopez.
Speaker 3 (09:43):
Mario Lopez here. My guest today is Canadian country artist
Owen Wriggling and congrats. I know you recently won two
Canadian Country Music Awards, one of which was Songwriter the
Year for your song Old Dirt Roads. What about that
song's what's the backstory there?
Speaker 7 (09:56):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (09:56):
I wrote Older Roads in twenty nineteen in my college
of department and it was my first time experience when
what it was like living in a city. I come
from a small town, like I said, and I was
going to school, and I was driving to school every day,
and I was waiting for like, you know, thirty forty
five minutes in traffic, you know, doing that for a
year for the first time. It kind of was a
(10:18):
bit of like a shock, I guess because the only
traffic I was used to is riding down a back
road behind like a tractor or a horse and buggy.
Speaker 7 (10:27):
And I think it just kind of that song fell
out of me.
Speaker 5 (10:29):
I was it was like a thirty minute right by
myself in my bedroom and I.
Speaker 7 (10:33):
Was just missing home. I wrote a lot of songs
about missing home, and it's just cool that.
Speaker 5 (10:38):
That's sort of the song that's allowed me to do
a lot more touring and you know, win that award,
And it's a song that I just never would have
thought it would have taken me there, you know, six
years later or whatever it is.
Speaker 3 (10:49):
So yeah, you never know, man, which one's gonna pop
right there? Well, it's hit pause for a moment. We
gotta play some more music. What Amaro Lopez. You're hanging
out with country artists Owen Wrigling and your new EP,
Bruce County dropped earlier this year, but talking about the
song dropping on November first, The Call, Yeah.
Speaker 7 (11:06):
So The Call is a very special song to me.
Speaker 5 (11:10):
I you know, I've lost some people growing up, friends, family,
lots of family and stuff like that, and this song
is just a buddy of mine had passed and I
started writing the song after that, I got a verse
and you know the chorus, and a couple months later,
my aunt had passed away and it just kind of
fell out of me and like I I don't know how.
(11:30):
I mean, everybody deals with grief sort of differently, and
for me, writing songs is always kind of in a
way to just get it all out there and kind
of say what I'm feeling, and that's where this song
came from.
Speaker 7 (11:41):
It's about a.
Speaker 5 (11:42):
Call that you never want to get, but one that
you definitely won't forget, and it means a lot to me.
We just did a one take recording of it in
the studio, I just acoustic and a guitar, kind of
stripping it back to where I started in music.
Speaker 7 (11:56):
So I'm super excited to finally have it out.
Speaker 3 (11:58):
Well that's cool. You're able to kind of channel that
into work, so good for you. Well, hold on, I
got to play some more music. You're all Mario Lopez
got Canadian country artists owned wriggling on Zoom with me
and none of you. Got a bunch of us tour
dates over the next month. What what can fans expect
when they come see you?
Speaker 5 (12:15):
Love?
Speaker 7 (12:16):
Yeah, We're we're traveling around.
Speaker 5 (12:18):
We got another like thirty shows I think to the
end of the years, so we're keeping busy.
Speaker 7 (12:21):
But our live show is it's dynamic.
Speaker 5 (12:24):
We you know, we start out pretty rocking, and there's
some loud guitars and some loud drums and and you know,
we kind of go through all the phases of what
I think a good live show should be. A lot
of stories, a lot of new songs that I've been
writing that you know, are just post metals in my
phone at this point that I'm sort of trying to
add on the road and nice I would say, I
(12:45):
kind of I bring a lot of me in my
hometown and the way that I was raised to these crowds,
which I think is the most important part.
Speaker 7 (12:52):
Of our show.
Speaker 3 (12:53):
So I'm sure, Yeah, you can resonate. Well, I go
one more thing I want to ask. We've got to
take another break. I'm gonna come back with own Wriggling
in just a moment.
Speaker 2 (13:00):
Will interview now on with Mario dot Com more Mario
Lopez on.
Speaker 3 (13:03):
The way Mario Lopez. He're ramming things up with country
artist Owen Wriggling. And does your wife go with you
on tour?
Speaker 7 (13:10):
Yeah, she does.
Speaker 5 (13:11):
She's Actually she was just in the bus before, but
I think she's now. But yeah, she's around with us
and help them with social media.
Speaker 7 (13:19):
Is very nice for me. Keep it in. You know,
she's great out here.
Speaker 3 (13:23):
She keeps me saying, cool, you a Halloween guy? You
dressing up this year?
Speaker 5 (13:28):
I haven't thought about it too much. I kind of
realized that Halloween's coming up quick.
Speaker 7 (13:32):
I got to figure that I'm definitely gonna get a
costume of some sort, but I don't know what yet.
We'll see. I have you ever heard of the show
Trailer Park Boys?
Speaker 3 (13:39):
I don't think I have TV show.
Speaker 7 (13:41):
To Canadian the Canadian TV show.
Speaker 3 (13:44):
It's hilarious Trailer Park Boys. Okay, but uh.
Speaker 5 (13:48):
I always I always dress up as as somebody from.
Speaker 7 (13:51):
The Trailer Park Boys. Okay, so maybe maybe I'll do
that this year.
Speaker 3 (13:54):
Yeah, pain the wise, I like it.
Speaker 5 (13:57):
Well.
Speaker 3 (13:57):
Congrats on everything, Man. Be sure to check out all
of Owens music right now on your iHeartRadio app or
wherever you get music. Thanks for checking in, Matt. Good
luck on the road.
Speaker 7 (14:07):
Thank you so much for taking that time. Man, appreciate it.
Speaker 3 (14:09):
You got a brother. Take care, Mario Courtney Lopez. Here,
let's take a look at some of the podcasts that
are trending on the iHeart Areio app, Dudes.
Speaker 4 (14:17):
On, Dudes with Gronk and Jewels. Super Bowl champions Ron
Gronkowski and Julian Edelman talk about their favorite athletes, fascinating
Heaven's Helpline, and investigation into the finances of the Mormon Church.
Speaker 3 (14:32):
Ooh, that's pretty interesting.
Speaker 4 (14:35):
So Supernatural, the latest episode is about people who met
their doppelgangers. That means someone who looks exactly like them.
Speaker 1 (14:43):
Don't forget.
Speaker 4 (14:44):
You can listen to this show as a podcast. We're
so fun.
Speaker 3 (14:46):
Just search on with Mario Courtney Lopez. Have for another
fake debate with the topics. They're made upon the spot,
but the passion is very real. Who's prone? Who's gone today?
Speaker 1 (14:56):
I think I was pro last time.
Speaker 3 (14:57):
I'll be probably like when I'm pro because I'm positive.
Speaker 1 (15:00):
All Right, Today's topic, Okay.
Speaker 8 (15:03):
Today's topic is ghosts.
Speaker 3 (15:06):
I'm pro ghosts. Yeah. Here's the thing about ghosts. It's
encouraging to know that after you pass, you can still
come back in some form. It might be an apparition,
but you're still kind of hanging around and in the
scene and able to make your presence felt, and ghosts
(15:27):
can mess with people if they want to.
Speaker 4 (15:28):
I like that paranormal activity is not something that humans
who are alive should be experiencing. There are many many
paranormal experiences that people fear for their life, and you
shouldn't fear for your life while you're living from somebody
who is not living.
Speaker 8 (15:48):
Thank you your chance for rebuttal.
Speaker 3 (15:51):
There was a very popular movie where Whoopy Goldberg went
an Academy award called Ghost and that shows the beauty
of what a ghost can do aka Patrick swayze So
God bless him and ghosts.
Speaker 4 (16:04):
Unfortunately, not all ghosts are Patrick Swayzey, and they don't
come back like Patrick Swayzeye. They come back if it's
a child. They cry in the hallways of hotels, they
pay for hell, and I just feel that it is
unfair to the people who had nothing to do with
their disappearance.
Speaker 1 (16:21):
Thank you.
Speaker 3 (16:23):
All right for more with Mario Lopez after this John
Mario Courtney Lopez before we take off of the weekend,
We're gonna give you the final word with our comment
of the week. What do you got?
Speaker 4 (16:33):
This is from at Cory Girl and she said, just

had a location saved as Nicole's house, and I was like,

Speaker 3 (16:51):
Oh she Corey girl needs to apologize. Asas girls be

Speaker 4 (16:56):

Okay, never mind's a friend of ours.
Speaker 3 (17:13):

exactly it.
Speaker 1 (17:17):
They worked together. But I was like, oh no, who
the hell is Amber?
Speaker 3 (17:21):
She needs to say I sorry.
Speaker 4 (17:23):

Speaker 2 (17:45):
