Speaker 2 (01:35):
Mario Lopez coming up music rolls on Mario Courtney Lopez.

hitting TV and streaming.

Speaker 3 (01:43):
Well, as you just mentioned, the iHeartRadio Music Awards went
down live on Fox last night and if you missed it,
the awards begin streaming on Hulu today so you can
catch that. Major League Baseball gets going on Fox with
the first game of the Tokyo Series between the Dodgers

Speaker 2 (01:58):
A lot of the Dodgers players going to their homeland,
considering we have about five people from Japan on the
team right now.

Speaker 3 (02:04):
That's right. And Food Network premieres of the new series
House of Knives. Six of the world's most prestigious and
talented chefs join the House of Knives arena for a
groundbreaking competition where culinary skills meets strategies.

Speaker 2 (02:18):
You just heard House of Knives as a TV show,
you'd think it was a violent sort of elimination tournament,
but very different. Yes, very different. So if you partied
a little too hard for Saint Patti's Day yesterday, Missus
Lopez got some hangover hacks to share with a shortly
in Courtney's corner. Mario and Courtney Lopez here, so hang time.

Speaker 3 (02:36):

live hacks from my wife Cordo. She's always on the
lookout for ways to make our lives easier. What you
got for us today.

Speaker 3 (02:55):
Honey, Cordo has a Saint Patty's Day little life hack.
If you drank too much.

Speaker 2 (03:01):
I think it's now Cordo's corner. I think that's what's
Gordos corner.

Speaker 3 (03:05):
Well, this hack is straight from Harvard University, so you
know these are solid, like I stand behind this one.
Number one, drink water, Hello, drink water anyway. Number two,
eat carbs, Hello, eat carbs anyway.

Speaker 4 (03:20):
This is what you do every day, my daily drinking
or not.

Speaker 3 (03:24):
Then of course, take pain reliever, ibuprofen or thailand all
and I always say take it before you go to
bed that night, so it helps you when you wake up.
Drink some caffeine. The stimulant can help you with the grogginess.
Take some vitamin see and zinc and hair of the dog.
Sometimes a beer can bring you back around, and.

Speaker 2 (03:43):
All of these things solid advice. Thank you, Cordo.

Speaker 1 (03:48):
Moura, Mario Lopez coming.

Speaker 2 (03:49):
Up, Maro Courney Lopez, keeping the music and fun coming
your ways. We'll let you know where to see some
of our favorite artists on TV this week.

John Legend is stopping by Fallon later tonight and if
you're up early tomorrow The Today Show has Blake Shelton
the schedule to join them in the morning, and tomorrow night,
Dommiano David is set to take the stage on Kimmel
You're wrong.

Speaker 2 (04:10):
With Mario and Courtney Lopez going to dig into the
buzz and see what's trending a little later. Got a
music history lesson to squeeze in as well, and.

Speaker 3 (04:17):
Of course lots more music. So let's get to a request.
Hit us up on Facebook or X at on with Mario,
drop a comment in our mentions while you're there, and
we might even read it on the air. In fact,
I think we'll dig into our inbox next. But first, more.

Speaker 2 (04:29):
Music all right at all Mario on X and Facebook
at All, Mario Lopez on IG Mario and Kordo Lopez
here love hearing from you. That's her new nickname, Quardo.
She loves it. Questions comments, whatever you got? What'd you
find for est Quardo?

Speaker 3 (04:45):
This is from at Beeves Macboots, and he says people
say snooze fest like it's a bad thing, but I
would attend a snooze fest, no questions asked, and pay
high dollar for the ticket. You know what Beeves need to.

Speaker 2 (04:57):
Beeves I'm all about it. There was a me I
posted the other day where it said when people say
you made your bed, go lie in it. That sounds awesome.
One of my favorite things to do. Not a punishment
at all.

Speaker 4 (05:08):
That Mario Lopez coming up, Oh, Mario Cordy Lopez.

Speaker 2 (05:13):
Some good news if you enjoy a nice lazy day occasionally,
New Yale studies suggests that dedicating one lazy day per
week can significantly boost health and happiness.

Speaker 3 (05:21):
I'm there.

Speaker 2 (05:22):
Even the simple act of scheduling a day of rest
and relaxation can reduce stress and even extend your lifespan.
It's so important they mandate this in other countries. That's
why they have cs DOES and that's why on Sunday
it's supposed to be the day of rest. Although it's
hard for me to do.

Speaker 3 (05:35):
Yeah, you don't know what this is like.

Speaker 2 (05:38):
Well, here's the thing.

Speaker 4 (05:39):
I know.

Speaker 2 (05:39):
I have a trip coming up where I'm going to
be gone for a little bit, so I have to
get a lot done before I leave. But when I
do have time, I do manage to squeeze in a
good day of restaurant. We just kick back in bed
for a long time. That one the other day.

Speaker 3 (05:51):
That was awesome.

Speaker 4 (05:52):
You were in Vegas.

Speaker 3 (05:53):
Yeah, we had no kids. We had like we still
got up and went to the gym.

Speaker 2 (05:58):
Well, no, I would just kind of rode then answered,
you don't.

Speaker 4 (06:01):

You're on Mario and Courtney Lopez. Can't believe it, but
spring break is here? What quick heads up? If you're
headed somewhere warm, drinking in the sun can leave you
more than just buzzed. It increases your chance of sunburns.
Of course, a study from Florida Atlantic University found that
alcohol makes you more prone to sunburns. Why because it
messes with your judgment. You forget to reapply sunscreen, you

(07:03):
stay out too long, or you even pass out under
those rays. Ooh, that's when it's a meaning.

Speaker 3 (07:08):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (07:08):
Too many sunbirds, especially when you're young, crank up your
risk of skin cancer later on. I wish I would have.

Speaker 3 (07:14):
Known that before I lived in the tanning bed back
in high school.

Speaker 2 (07:17):
The tanning bed has its own set of issues as well.
I know dudes that used to put on baby and
just lay out for hours. Now granted their face looks
like beat on the weather. Yeah, but yes, it's very important.
The little sun is not bad. Too much, no good.
You need the d Almara dot com for more tips.
I'm being safe in the sun the spring break for

Speaker 4 (08:06):
That was Tezi nominee for impression.

Speaker 2 (08:09):
Adam Levine is forty five.

Speaker 4 (08:12):
Forty six is correct.

Speaker 2 (08:15):
Nothing on here, Wow, You're on fire today for two
a comedian actor alleged comedian Dane Cook.

Speaker 3 (08:24):
Dane Cook is fifty one.

Speaker 2 (08:28):
Oh, I was actually I guess that I got that
was a well we interviewed him not too long ago,
and I know his girlfriend's like nineteen or something, so
I'm gonna say he's actually, oh, you know that, yes,
because it was a big it was a big deal,
big deal.

Speaker 4 (08:39):
Yeah, fifty fifty three oh three, Queen latif sang it,

Speaker 2 (08:45):

What up Mario and Courtney Lopez here getting to one
of those shortly, hang on for that. In the meantime,
Why don't we squeeze in today's obscure holiday? What do
you sell lebrating today?

Speaker 4 (10:00):
Honey?

Speaker 3 (10:01):
It is disgusting National Sloppy Joe Day.

Speaker 2 (10:04):
Well, it's supposed to be a little disgusting. It's a
sloppy Joe. When you get a good one, they taste
so good. Well, you don't even meet, So.

Speaker 3 (10:13):
I didn't eat sloppy Joe. When I did eat meet.

Speaker 2 (10:15):
It's not something that you ever want to do, like
on a date, because it gets everywhere. Oh, Mario, Courtney Lopez,
keep you the music in fun coming your way. We
wanted to quickly mention that we've reached a milestone at
Costa Lopez. Our daughter Jia is heading to high school
this fall. This fall, she still got to finish her
eighth grade, but yeah, in September. She is going to

(10:38):
an all girls Catholic school, which I like. Grade school.
She is ready and prepared.

Speaker 3 (10:44):
And I don't know about that.

Speaker 2 (10:46):
Well, she seems pretty ready. She seems pretty ready in
gung hole about it. She's not reluctant at all. When
I went to high school, it was tenth, eleven, twelfth,
Junior high was seventh, eighth, ninth, and then you had
ten eleven, twelve. Kind of makes I think a little
more sense because you get to be a senior sort
of twice and it's broken up into three years. I
like that better.

Speaker 3 (11:05):
It was never like that where I lived. It was
always middle school was six, seven, eight, and then high
school is nine through twelve.

Speaker 4 (11:11):
He was born long before us.

Speaker 2 (11:13):
It makes way more sense K through six and you
get the six years broken up because you get to
kind of be a senior twice.

Speaker 3 (11:21):
You still get to be a senior twice.

Speaker 2 (11:22):
You want to hanging out with a little six year
old your sixth grade kids. You don't want to hand
out sixth grade kids. Seventeenth ninth is school?

Speaker 3 (11:28):
You know?

Speaker 2 (11:28):
Still pretty good?

Speaker 4 (11:29):
Trust me?

Speaker 2 (11:30):
Okay, more fun on the way.

Speaker 1 (11:33):
On with Mario Lopez.

Speaker 2 (11:35):
Maoro Courtney Lopez. Quick digital pit stop at Almario dot
com to see what's trending.

Speaker 3 (11:39):
Check out Ed Sheeran surprising a crowd with a song
no one has ever heard before.

Speaker 2 (11:44):
It's been a minute with Ed sheer and he was
having a hint like every other week.

Speaker 3 (11:49):
And Demi Levado's hilarious reaction to being savagely roasted by Ai.

Speaker 2 (11:53):
Oh Ai is out here roasted?

Speaker 3 (11:55):
All right, You're not safe anywhere at I'm with Mario
dot com for all that and more.

Speaker 2 (12:00):
Oh with Mario and Cordo Lopez. Quick reminder to hit
up Barbrare dot coundar relive all the big moments from
last night's I Heart Radio Music Awards fullest of winners
and some highlights as well.

Speaker 3 (12:10):
But if you want to relive the entire thing, twenty
twenty five iHeartRadio Music Awards is streaming on Hulu right now.

Speaker 2 (12:17):
On to Mario and Courtney. Lopez is talking about how
time flies. When we mentioned her daughter is headed a
high school. I remember her in our radio studio at
what one.

Speaker 4 (12:26):
Yeah, she was about one she was when we started
in twenty twelve. She was born in what oh, so
she was one and a half two Wow. Yeah, I
judge how much radio we've done by how much she's
grown up.

Speaker 2 (12:37):
Is crazy. Well, times are changing quickly. In fact, you
might be surprised that the things that were common just
ten years ago that are nearly extinct now. Someone asked
read it what has gradually disappeared over the last ten
years without people really noticing. Here are some of the answers.

Speaker 3 (12:51):
Well, number one toys in serial boxes.

Speaker 2 (12:54):
There's no prize anymore.

Speaker 3 (12:55):
There's real prop that was the.

Speaker 2 (12:57):
Best when you were a kid. I wonder why they
did away with that. Somebody probably did something stupid like
try to eat the toy, and nobody can have toys.

Speaker 3 (13:06):
Answering phone calls, Please don't call me.

Speaker 4 (13:08):
Are you like that?

Speaker 2 (13:10):
I like to answer you.

Speaker 3 (13:11):
I don't want to talk to people text me what
are you a teenager?

Speaker 4 (13:15):
See?

Speaker 2 (13:15):
I like old school talking to people. You're old no,
because you can judge tone that way and flex I
don't care. Just text me no. And that's why I
leave voice notes.

Speaker 3 (13:26):
Uh, small independent hardware stores. They're just going out of
business everywhere. That's old school buying movies. It's all about subscriptions.

Speaker 2 (13:34):
Now, well, you can still buy movies. You can just
buy them where they stream. You don't have the actual
physical disc anymore. You just you can kind of buy
them and they live.

Speaker 3 (13:43):
But I don't want to buy them.

Speaker 4 (13:44):
But because they stream typically somewhere all the time, and
most people have all the streaming services, they don't buy them.

Speaker 2 (13:49):
That's true. I had to buy some only because in
preparation for the oscars. Some weren't offered yet, so you
could buy them on a TV and Amazon. You didn't
get strainers three ninety nine. We didn't. They gave me
like a link. I think, I don't have to do
that click my phone. I have to match it.

Speaker 4 (14:10):
When it was just you need an IT guy at
your house.

Speaker 3 (14:11):
Yeah, yeah, real customer service reps press one for angle.

Speaker 4 (14:16):
Let me tell you something. If you're gonna have a
robot that can tell me that it understands full sentences
and can talk to me like a person, then have
it actually do that, yes, and give an option up
front to get to a real person.

Speaker 3 (14:26):
And custom ring tones you can still do that, but
every phone is on silent now I have.

Speaker 2 (14:31):
It on vibrate all the time.

Speaker 1 (14:32):
Of course, we'll be right back with Mario Lopez.

Speaker 2 (14:35):
Mario and Courtney Lopez wanted to mention this Thursday, I
will be on the Jennifer Hudson Show and look for
my entrance into the Spirit Tunnel. Her show has become popular,
specifically for this bit that they do where they sort
of greet the guests with the staff and they do
little original songs kind of clapping.

Speaker 4 (14:54):
I saw I saw your uncle George Lopez make his
way down home.

Speaker 2 (15:00):
He went viral because of his looks.

Speaker 4 (15:01):
Yeah, yeah, that's why I saw it.

Speaker 2 (15:03):
Yeah, let's hope. Let's hope my entrance is a little
more non controversial. Ah, Mario Courtney Lopez about to head
home for then, I just got to squeeze in one
last thing, hang tight for that.

Speaker 3 (15:16):
Got time for a request or two as well. So
you got a song you one a year? Just slide
into our dms over on Instagram at On with Mario Lopez, Al.

Speaker 2 (15:25):
Maria Courtney Lopez. Time for one last thing. We mentioned
our daughter's big milestone earlier. Well, our son hit went
over the weekend too, his first serious wrestling injury.

Speaker 1 (15:35):
Oh.

Speaker 2 (15:35):
I was so sad for him because he had trained
so hard. He made the weight. This was the state championships,
which is known as the toughestate championship in the country,
just because of the populace Calvernie having so many people,
and they also don't break it down into categories, break
it down. Everyone's in one group. He had like eighteen kids.
He won his first two matches, he was doing great

(15:56):
in his third one, and had he just won that,
that's when he got hurt. He would have been in
the semis and at worst would have got fourth at
worse in the state. In the state, but I think
it would have maybe even done a little better in
top three. Yeah, but you know what I told him, Hey,
sometimes a setback makes for a greater comeback, and you're
gonna come back even stronger. That sucks. You can't win

(16:16):
them all, can't win them all. Hang in there and
nego Mario Lopez.

Speaker 1 (16:20):
We'll be right back, all right.

Speaker 2 (16:22):
That's it. Thanks so much for hanging out on Mario
dot com. Relive everything that you miss, more fun tomorrow,
New case in Cordo's.

Speaker 3 (16:28):
Court, Latest buzz and more I quit until then. This
is Mario and Courtney Lopez saying good night.

Speaker 4 (16:33):
You're not allowed to quit
