my character was faced with that big decision between Brandon

pretty profound thing, she said.

And that line really sort of stuck with me over
the many, many many years, and it's something that I
teach my girls. You know, it's like a really like
empowering statement for women.

Yeah, girls are very special, especially that relationship with the mom, right,
and they're going to take it out the most on
the mom usually because you're going through all these hormonal
changes and life is so big everywhere around and it's like,
how do I You know, it's very hard because when
we fill our our girls, especially pulling away from us,

it doesn't feel good. Yeah, So everybody has to like
take a moment to switch gears and adjust. And for me,
it was like a big realization, you know that that
is what they're supposed to be doing. They're supposed to
be detaching, they're supposed to be becoming more autonomous, right,
And it's just about encouraging that and then also being

really diligent and being like, you can't disrespect your parents.

sitcoms on CBS. It had Gene Smart, Dixie Carter, and
Delta Burke, who was really the standout actress there. She
played Suzanne Sugar Baker and she was great in it.

meth back in the day to curb her appetize.

And it's just bizarre because not cocaine but crystal meth,
which is usually affiliated with a very just down low
sort of street hardcore drug, and she was on TV

Is it cheaper? It's cheaper, right, really super cheap. It's
much cheaper, but you have awful side effects. Anybody that
has known people that use crystal meth their teeth full out,

a new character, Kelly Taylor correct.

Well, yes, that's a famous line from my like season
five of Beverly Hills nine or two and zero, and
my character was faced with that big decision between Brandon
and Dylan, and so in that moment she said a
pretty profound thing, she said.
Speaker 2 (08:28):
I choose me.
Speaker 7 (08:30):
And that line really sort of stuck with me over
the many, many many years, and it's something that I
teach my girls. You know, it's like a really like
empowering statement for women.
Speaker 1 (08:44):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (08:44):
Oh, that's always an option. You can always choose yourself
in any moment, whatever it is.
Speaker 3 (08:50):
I think it's the smart option, often the best option,
because you should always come first and then everything else
can follow.

Though people because people think like, oh, it's so selfish,
it sounds you know, you choose yourself. What what? We
do a lot of things for other people, as you know, parents.

A course, human beings, We're.

Always taking care of other people. So this is just
simply an opportunity to take a moment to appreciate ourselves
and do a little self care, a little self love.

with the BFF collection, with toy and I have some
really exciting things coming up on my own this year
with QBC. So this was a cool thing to do.

Fifty incredible women from all different walks of life and
professions all coming together to talk about the power of
what happens to women after you're fifty, because I think
a lot of people sort of think, ooh, you know,
it's over after fifty, or women don't have that much

so we are just talking about it, and good we
won't stop, you know what I mean? Yeah?

six year old.

You have a twenty six year old. Oh my god,
that's like a full on real adult.

Yeah.

I know. I can't see her that way though, whenever
I see her and see her so tiny. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
And I'm a twenty one year old and a seventeen
year old.
Speaker 3 (11:12):
Oh my, yeah, you're almost an empty nester. Huh.
Speaker 7 (11:15):
I'm a pery empty nester.
Speaker 2 (11:18):
Yes, and all girls.
Speaker 7 (11:21):
All girls.

Okay, so I have boys, but I do have one
girl and she's turned thirteen not too long ago, and
she's kind of yes, exactly, she's kind of putting us
through it a little bit more so, my wife. Any
advice on this is I'm assuming natural and.
Speaker 2 (11:37):
They're mean.
Speaker 3 (11:38):
They could be mean.
Speaker 7 (11:41):
Yeah, girls are very special, especially that relationship with the mom, right,
and they're going to take it out the most on
the mom usually because you're going through all these hormonal
changes and life is so big everywhere around and it's like,
how do I You know, it's very hard because when
we fill our our girls, especially pulling away from us,
(12:05):
it doesn't feel good. Yeah, So everybody has to like
take a moment to switch gears and adjust. And for me,
it was like a big realization, you know that that
is what they're supposed to be doing. They're supposed to
be detaching, they're supposed to be becoming more autonomous, right,
And it's just about encouraging that and then also being
(12:29):
really diligent and being like, you can't disrespect your parents.
Speaker 2 (12:34):
Right, Yes, there's that line.
Speaker 3 (12:36):
No, that's good advice. That's good advice.
Speaker 2 (12:37):

Yes, yes, I do. Was Oh no, no, nothing like gross,
are weird?
Speaker 5 (13:07):
I remember just ye.
Speaker 7 (13:13):
My character was like the you know, cute girl that
they pick up on the street, and I have one
line I think uh to them from the backseat of
their car. So it was it was not my you know,
shining moment, but it was a moment and I was
happy to have it.
Speaker 3 (13:30):
That was a big show.
Speaker 2 (13:30):
Of course, it's a big moment. Yeah, I remember that.
Speaker 3 (13:33):
Oh that's cool, that's funny, that's.
Speaker 7 (13:35):
Fun You remember your very first on air situation?
Speaker 2 (13:39):
I do.
Speaker 3 (13:40):
I was I was young, I was like ten, and
I did a I did a sitcom called Ak Pablo right,
shortly followed by this show called Kids Incorporated. And uh
and so yeah, I was little. I don't know what
I was doing. I just kind of like my mom's
that young you's got to do it what your mom says, right.
But then later on I'm like, up, it's getting a

real job, as my dad would say.

So I kind of stuck with it all.
Speaker 3 (14:03):
But hey, I'm glad we're still hanging around.
