Speaker 3 (00:06):
Courtney Lopez, You're backing the driver's seat for a few
hours of radio fun. Jenny gard is going to be
zooming in later with the scoop on her new podcast.

Speaker 4 (00:13):
Plus a new case in Courtney's court, Latest buzz a
good Deed, Lopezy and more So, turn it Up.

Speaker 5 (00:18):
You're on with Mario and Courtney Lopez.

Speaker 2 (00:22):
You're on Mario Courtney Lopez.

Speaker 3 (00:23):
Every week we celebrate someone who's done a good deed,
who are putting in the spotlight today.

Speaker 4 (00:27):
The owner of the Washington Commander's Dan Snyder. So he's
been trying to sell his forty nine million dollar mansion
for the past year, but he hasn't had any buyers.

Speaker 5 (00:36):
I wonder why.

Speaker 4 (00:38):
So he flipped the script and straight up donated the
mansion to the American Cancer Society. They won't be using
that twelve car garage themselves. They're going to sell the
mansion and use the profits for research and development. Man, Wow,
that's amazing. You just get fed up and they're like,
just you know what, I can't deal with this forty

(00:59):
nine million anymore.

Speaker 5 (01:00):
Here, donate it.

Speaker 3 (01:01):
He needs a text right off.

Speaker 2 (01:02):
Good for him, that's awesome.

Speaker 6 (01:03):
More Mario Lopez on the way, Mario Courtney Lopez with
your first look at Zoe Kravitz's debut as a director
movies called Blink Twice.

Speaker 3 (01:13):
It stars her boyfriend Channing Tatum as a billionaire who
lures women to his private island. Oh that sounds naughty.

Speaker 4 (01:19):
Ooh how was she dealing with that? I'd be like,
she ain't coming to this island. No, no, no. It
drops August twenty third, but you can see the trailer
here at on with Mario dot Com.

Speaker 6 (01:27):
Okay, what aut Mario Courtney Lopez here?

Speaker 3 (01:31):
Anyone with little kids knows how big Bluey is, Louie, Yes,
but this is next level. The special episode of Blue
that Disney Plus dropped last week had more than ten
and a half million viewers. Blue was the second most
stream show last year, nearly forty four billion minutes watch. Well, yeah,
everybody has small kids who kind of got to throw
it on that because it's safe.

Speaker 4 (01:52):
Yeah, but I think I think what they're referring to.
I did not see. This episode was about death and
I think teaching the kids. It was very improv it
was heavy, it was heavy, I think, don't at me,
not that easy, But I did see something social media.

Speaker 2 (02:11):
You are Mari Cordey Lopez.

Speaker 3 (02:12):
Time to dish out some common sense, just as all
rise Courtney's court is now in session.

Speaker 2 (02:18):
So this is from at Jade Anderson And they say
I'm not.

Speaker 3 (02:21):
A chaos machine, but I feel like I'm always making
enemies in some form, whether it's a coworker who goes
out of their way to avoid me, or a family
member who keeps in touch with everyone but me. How
do I know if I'm the jerk or not?

Speaker 5 (02:36):
You know what?

Speaker 4 (02:37):
This is interesting because I have a friend who attracts drama.
Like she's a really good person, but there's always drama
in her life, whether or not it's adjacent to her
or directly involved. Like it's just and she's a really,
really good person. I just feel like there's some people
out there.

Speaker 3 (02:55):
I think they like it. That's why they I don't know.

Speaker 2 (02:57):
I just some people look for coincident.

Speaker 5 (03:00):
Yeah, because I wouldn't be friends with somebody like that.

Speaker 4 (03:03):
And this is one person that I would never not
be friends with in my life, Like she'll be a
staple in my life forever. I told her unless she
does something with my husband or to my kids. That's
the only two things that would take me away from her.

Speaker 1 (03:15):
I don't know.

Speaker 5 (03:15):
I mean, I guess I would just.

Speaker 4 (03:18):
Try and figure out what the common denominator is if
there is one, but just go about being you. I mean,
if they don't want to be around you, that's their loss.

Speaker 1 (03:28):
Or Mario Lopez coming up?

Speaker 2 (03:31):
Mario Lopez.

Speaker 3 (03:32):
Here was some quick buzz Foria Bethany Frankel putting a
pause on her podcast. No new episodes of Just Be
Divorced are in the works, and she's scrubbing past episodes
from the internet. Bethany's mother passed away recently, and she
wants some time to grieve and process.

Speaker 1 (03:47):
Well.

Speaker 3 (03:48):
Thoughts and prayers go out to her and her family
right now.

Speaker 2 (03:52):
What of Mario Lopez? Here are too bad?

Speaker 6 (03:54):
Things didn't work out in the love Department from a
man Ryan Seacres, he's a bachelor again at forty nine
after splitting with model Aubrey Page.

Speaker 3 (04:01):
The tour together for three years. A lot of people
didn't even know he was in a relationship. But I'm
sure he's gonna be alright. Best the luck in the
future to those two. What a Mario Lopez here in
too Bad Things didn't work out in the love department
from a man Ryan Seacres, he's a bachelor again at
forty nine after splitting with model Aubrey Paige. The tour
together for three years. A lot of people didn't even

(04:23):
know he was in a relationship. But I'm sure he's
gonna be alright. Best the luck in the future to
those two. You' ab Mario Lopez.

Speaker 2 (04:31):
Let's get to your comments. This is from at John
Felix forty nine.

Speaker 6 (04:35):
That guy ditched his wife on the honeymoon flights because
he had to mentally prepare for the rest of his life.

Speaker 2 (04:41):
Wow.

Speaker 3 (04:41):
John Felix forty nine is referring to the husband who
sat in first class and had his wife sit in
coach on the way to the honeymoon.

Speaker 2 (04:52):
I listen, did I also read he took her upgrade? Wow?
That's that makes it even because I think he did.

Speaker 3 (04:58):
Oh my goodness, that well if he was planning to
have a passionate honeymoon, I don't know how that worked out.

Speaker 6 (05:05):
More Mario Lopez on the way what aut Mario Courtney
Lopez here Today's lesson of music history takes us back
to the days when our wardrobes were totally crossed out.

Speaker 2 (05:14):
I'm gonna reveal it next.

Speaker 5 (05:15):
I see what you did there.

Speaker 6 (05:18):
You're Mario Courtney Lopez and on this day in history
thirty two years ago in nineteen ninety two, vividly remember
them when this drop this became the biggest song in
the country.

Speaker 1 (05:27):
Jo Jo.

Speaker 6 (05:32):
Jo that synthesizer, I'll never forget.

Speaker 3 (05:39):
That was actually the first single produced by Jermaine dupri
On a way who went on to produce a lot
of bangers, as the kids say, And that song it's
still pops.

Speaker 2 (05:48):
You put it on and still pops.

Speaker 6 (05:51):
You're a Mario Lopez and Delta Burke might be the
original Heisenberg.

Speaker 1 (05:55):
On with Mario. Hollywood was so I.

Speaker 2 (05:59):
Posted about this.

Speaker 3 (05:59):
I just thought it was such a wild story. Back
in the eighties, Designing Women was one of the biggest
sitcoms on CBS. It had Gene Smart, Dixie Carter, and
Delta Burke, who was really the standout actress there. She
played Suzanne Sugar Baker and she was great in it.

Speaker 2 (06:17):
And she was great.

Speaker 3 (06:18):
She's now admitting, however, that she used to do crystal
meth back in the day to curb her appetize.

Speaker 2 (06:24):
She was method. He yeah, very method.

Speaker 3 (06:26):
Literally, she couldn't get the diet pills that she was
taking in the UK. Obviously this was before oh zempic.
And it's just bizarre because not cocaine but crystal meth,
which is usually affiliated with a very just down low
sort of street hardcore drug, and she was on TV

(06:46):
made a lot of money.

Speaker 2 (06:47):
It was just an interesting choice.

Speaker 3 (06:48):
Is it cheaper? It's cheaper, right, really super cheap. It's
much cheaper, but you have awful side effects. Anybody that
has known people that use crystal meth their teeth full out,
their skin gets really bad.

Speaker 2 (06:59):
It is really really bad.

Speaker 1 (07:00):
So wows Mario Lopez coming up?

Speaker 2 (07:05):
What out Mario Courtney Lopez?

Speaker 7 (07:06):
Here?

Speaker 3 (07:06):
Billie Eilish coming to Fortnite. She is the icon at
the center of Fortnite Festival season three. You can unlock
some of her most iconic outfits or purchase special emotes
features her hits.

Speaker 4 (07:17):
Fortnite Festival is a guitar hero game that you play
within Fortnite.

Speaker 5 (07:21):
It's very cool. All right, let's keep him music going.

Speaker 2 (07:37):
What a Mario Lopez?

Speaker 3 (07:39):
Here is a few more songs, and we're gonna get
to today's guest. It's my buddy's Jenny Garth from the
OG nine O two one zero. Now she's got a
podcast all about self love. Can find out all about it.

Speaker 6 (07:48):
Next, sobra Al Mario Lopez joining me on zoom right now,
old friend of mine, Jenny Garth.

Speaker 3 (07:54):
How you pen?

Speaker 2 (07:55):
Jenny? Hey, Mario, nice to see.

Speaker 7 (07:59):
How are you.

Speaker 3 (07:59):
I'm very I'm very well. Thank you for asking.

Speaker 2 (08:03):
This is exciting. You just launched a new podcast, I
Choose Me.

Speaker 3 (08:07):
And the title is based on your nine on too
a new character, Kelly Taylor correct.

Speaker 7 (08:13):
Well, yes, that's a famous line from my like season
five of Beverly Hills nine or two and zero, and
my character was faced with that big decision between Brandon
and Dylan, and so in that moment she said a
pretty profound thing, she said.

Speaker 2 (08:28):
I choose me.

Speaker 7 (08:30):
And that line really sort of stuck with me over
the many, many many years, and it's something that I
teach my girls. You know, it's like a really like
empowering statement for women.

Speaker 1 (08:44):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (08:44):
Oh, that's always an option. You can always choose yourself
in any moment, whatever it is.

Speaker 3 (08:50):
I think it's the smart option, often the best option,
because you should always come first and then everything else
can follow.

Speaker 7 (08:59):
Though people because people think like, oh, it's so selfish,
it sounds you know, you choose yourself. What what? We
do a lot of things for other people, as you know, parents.

Speaker 2 (09:10):
A course, human beings, We're.

Speaker 7 (09:11):
Always taking care of other people. So this is just
simply an opportunity to take a moment to appreciate ourselves
and do a little self care, a little self love.

Speaker 3 (09:21):
You know, absolutely, you got to take care of yourself
or else who's going to and that way you're better
for everyone else. I like it. You can listen to
I Choose Me on iHeartRadio or wherever you get your pods.
Hold time, We're gonna come back with Jenny Garth in
just a.

Speaker 8 (09:33):
Moment more Mario Lopez on the way, Mario Lopez, You're
hanging out with actress Jenny Garth, and I know you
recently partnered up with QVC to celebrate women over fifty.

Speaker 3 (09:44):
What is that campaign about?

Speaker 7 (09:46):
Well, this was an incredible opportunity and I have to
tell you because sorry, I have a lot of dogs
my I you know, I do with work with QBC,
with the BFF collection, with toy and I have some
really exciting things coming up on my own this year
with QBC. So this was a cool thing to do.

(10:08):
Fifty incredible women from all different walks of life and
professions all coming together to talk about the power of
what happens to women after you're fifty, because I think
a lot of people sort of think, ooh, you know,
it's over after fifty, or women don't have that much

(10:29):
to contribute after fifty, but it's so the opposite, and
so we are just talking about it, and good we
won't stop, you know what I mean? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (10:39):
Absolutely, Oh that's great, really good stuff. We'll go to
onmar dot com to find out why.

Speaker 2 (10:43):
Fifty is the new everything. Let's play some more music
right now, Mario Lopez here.

Speaker 3 (10:49):
My guest is Jenny Garth, whose new podcast is called
I Choose Me. And in the first episode, you talk
a lot about your daughters, who who've got to be
all grown up now?

Speaker 7 (10:57):
Right? How do they? Oh my god, I have a
six year old.

Speaker 3 (11:00):
You have a twenty six year old. Oh my god,
that's like a full on real adult.

Speaker 1 (11:04):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (11:04):
I know. I can't see her that way though, whenever
I see her and see her so tiny. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
And I'm a twenty one year old and a seventeen
year old.

Speaker 3 (11:12):
Oh my, yeah, you're almost an empty nester. Huh.

Speaker 7 (11:15):
I'm a pery empty nester.

Speaker 2 (11:18):
Yes, and all girls.

Speaker 7 (11:21):
All girls.

Speaker 3 (11:22):
Okay, so I have boys, but I do have one
girl and she's turned thirteen not too long ago, and
she's kind of yes, exactly, she's kind of putting us
through it a little bit more so, my wife. Any
advice on this is I'm assuming natural and.

Speaker 2 (11:37):
They're mean.

Speaker 3 (11:38):
They could be mean.

Speaker 7 (11:41):
Yeah, girls are very special, especially that relationship with the mom, right,
and they're going to take it out the most on
the mom usually because you're going through all these hormonal
changes and life is so big everywhere around and it's like,
how do I You know, it's very hard because when
we fill our our girls, especially pulling away from us,

(12:05):
it doesn't feel good. Yeah, So everybody has to like
take a moment to switch gears and adjust. And for me,
it was like a big realization, you know that that
is what they're supposed to be doing. They're supposed to
be detaching, they're supposed to be becoming more autonomous, right,
And it's just about encouraging that and then also being

(12:29):
really diligent and being like, you can't disrespect your parents.

Speaker 2 (12:34):
Right, Yes, there's that line.

Speaker 3 (12:36):
No, that's good advice. That's good advice.

Speaker 2 (12:37):
Oh, good stuff. Then listen to I Choose Me on
iHeart Radio. Let's play some more music.

Speaker 3 (12:42):
Right now, you're Almara Lopez wrapping things up with my guess,
Jenny Garth. So later this year is going to be
the thirty fifth anniversary of your first appearance on TV
in an episode of Growing Pains called Ben and Mike's
Excellent Adventure. Do you do you remember your time there
on set? But something stick on?

Speaker 7 (13:00):
Yes, yes, I do. Was Oh no, no, nothing like gross,
are weird?

Speaker 5 (13:07):
I remember just ye.

Speaker 7 (13:13):
My character was like the you know, cute girl that
they pick up on the street, and I have one
line I think uh to them from the backseat of
their car. So it was it was not my you know,
shining moment, but it was a moment and I was
happy to have it.

Speaker 3 (13:30):
That was a big show.

Speaker 2 (13:30):
Of course, it's a big moment. Yeah, I remember that.

Speaker 3 (13:33):
Oh that's cool, that's funny, that's.

Speaker 7 (13:35):
Fun You remember your very first on air situation?

Speaker 2 (13:39):
I do.

Speaker 3 (13:40):
I was I was young, I was like ten, and
I did a I did a sitcom called Ak Pablo right,
shortly followed by this show called Kids Incorporated. And uh
and so yeah, I was little. I don't know what
I was doing. I just kind of like my mom's
that young you's got to do it what your mom says, right.
But then later on I'm like, up, it's getting a

(14:00):
real job, as my dad would say.

Speaker 2 (14:02):
So I kind of stuck with it all.

Speaker 3 (14:03):
But hey, I'm glad we're still hanging around.

Speaker 7 (14:06):
Uh, look at us hanging around, right.

Speaker 3 (14:09):
I love it and I love seeing you, and I
hope to see you in person soon. Everyone, please be
