like I know I'm sarcastic.

Speaker 2 (01:04):
Well, I don't know if that's a compliment.

Speaker 4 (01:05):
Sorry, Saria, you know I mean well, I mean you
have a healthy brain.

Speaker 3 (01:09):
Well, now, before I take it as a compliment, you
take A lot of the people don't day take it
as offensive.

Speaker 2 (01:14):
But I think you know what, get us sense of humor.

Speaker 4 (01:18):
Yeah, I think it's a compliment because sarcasm typically is funny.

A Maril Courtney Lopez, keeping the music coming your way.
But first, what obscure holiday are we celebrating today?

Speaker 3 (02:10):
Today is National Absurdity Day?

Speaker 4 (02:13):
Absurd to today? What was that absurd?

Speaker 3 (02:17):
Additional absurdity Day?

Speaker 2 (02:19):
Would you try a French accent?

Speaker 4 (02:21):
That was an absurd accent?

Speaker 2 (02:23):
That pronunciation was absurd? So does that mean you're supposed
to say things that are absurd or you abstained from absurdities?

Speaker 4 (02:32):
And we just observe all the absurdity around here?

Speaker 3 (02:34):
You can be absurd and it's okay, okay, all right,
lean into it.

Speaker 2 (02:39):
You're all Mario Courtney Lopez. Time to dish out some
common sense justice. All rise Courtney's court is now in session.
Today's case comes from at Tara Pine and they say,
recently ran into an interesting new situation at work. One
of my salary gen Z employees left a note on
my office door letting me know he would be coming
in three hours of late because he worked three hours

(03:01):
late yesterday. I don't know if I should punish him
or applaud him.

Speaker 3 (03:05):
Thoughts I have thoughts, Well, I do think and you
can come at me that think that this generation is
very lazy. They don't want to work, they don't want
to put in the time, they want to be paid
to do nothing. However, at the same time, if you
are not making overtime for those three hours, yeah, I mean,

(03:29):
if I were your boss, I would say I would
I applaud you this time for being so bold, but
try this one more time and you won't have a job.

Speaker 2 (03:36):
Look, I don't mind him pointing out, Hey, I was
here extra three hours last night just to give your
heads up, but I'm gonna be here this next morning.
That would show me he's ambitious or she. I don't
know if it's he or she. He's ambitious, she's ambitious.
They're working hard. You maybe kind of raise the awareness
level there of what you're doing. But you don't just
decide you're going to take no, no, no no. If

(03:57):
you want to come up, my best advice for this
young generation and work like it's your last day and
you have something to prove. If you're savage about it,
you're gonna get ahead. If you have this kind of attitude,
you can get left behind.

Speaker 4 (04:09):
More Mario Lopez coming up, Mario Courtney Lopez.

Speaker 2 (04:12):
You're a quick reminder of the CMA Awards, Aaron Live
from Nashville tonight, and a lot of our favorite arts
is going to be there.

Speaker 3 (04:18):
That's right. Pleas if you stay up late, Jin from
BTS is dropping by the Tonight show, and Blake Shelton
is set to be on Kimmel.

Speaker 2 (04:26):
You're all, Mario Courtney Lopez, keeping the festive fun coming
your way. Going to celebrate some CELEBT birthdays a little later.

Speaker 3 (04:31):
This hour, plus details on Sabrina Carpenter's upcoming Netflix holiday
special shortly, and I want to talk Thanksgiving movies, but
first more music.

Speaker 2 (04:41):
You're all, Mario Courtney Lopez. Thanksgiving going to be here
before you know it. And now we are basically into
the holidays. Everyone already talking about Christmas movies, of course,
but Thanksgiving movies usually get no love.

Speaker 3 (04:53):
Well, this year, Holiday Reporter broke down the thirty six
best Thanksgiving Day movies to feast on Fraser, would you
break these.

Speaker 4 (05:02):
Dons Adam's family values?

Speaker 2 (05:04):
I didn't realize it was the Thanksgiving movie. I've never
seen it though, so I'm just going to tell you
right now.

Speaker 3 (05:09):
I didn't know any of these were things Giving.

Speaker 4 (05:12):
Well, I do know that Adam's family values. There's they
go to a camp and Wednesday is in a pageant
and she's dressed as a Native American, I think, and
I think Pugsley is a turkey or something.

Speaker 2 (05:22):
Okay, The blind Side, I don't know if that qualifies.

Speaker 4 (05:25):
Because they celebrate Thanksgiving in the movie.

Speaker 2 (05:27):
Maybe, huh, I know, I don't know. I don't think
about that.

Speaker 4 (05:30):
This is actually one of my favorites. Dutch with Ed O'Neil.

Speaker 2 (05:33):
Yes, okay, that's a good one. Charlie Brown, Thanksgiving classic.
That's another classic other than planes, trains and automobiles.

Speaker 4 (05:39):
Another questionable one for Brothers with your buddy Mark Wahlberg,
is that Thanksgiving.

Speaker 2 (05:43):
I don't remember that.

Speaker 4 (05:44):
They celebrate Thanksgiving movie.

Speaker 2 (05:45):
I don't know.

Speaker 4 (05:46):
I think that's not but okay, grumpy old men.

Speaker 2 (05:49):
I remember seeing that. I don't remember anything about Thanksgiving
or even a reference to it. Two more Rocky, Well, Rocky,
it could be yeah, because when he goes goes to
Adrian's house with a brother and Pauli gets upset, he
takes the turkey out of the oven and throws it
on the street, and then he takes her ice skating

(06:11):
that dad of a Thanksgiving movie, but they have a
Thanksgiving scene, so it counts.

Speaker 3 (06:15):
I guess these are scenes, right, So Christmas movies are
really based around Christmas and the Christmas spirit. These are
just like they're having a Thanksgiving.

Speaker 4 (06:24):
One more sense of a woman who I don't remember
that reference.

Speaker 3 (06:29):
She smell like pumpkin and turkey.

Speaker 2 (06:32):
I don't Maybe maybe because he couldn't see it and
he could only smell.

Speaker 3 (06:35):
Maybe, Oh, is that what that means?

Speaker 2 (06:38):
He was blind?

Speaker 1 (06:40):
More Mario Lopez coming up.

Speaker 2 (07:32):
Don't incorporate math in jokes too much? Wow, I don't
even know.

Speaker 4 (07:37):
I don't even want to do the math to make
sure that's correct.

Speaker 3 (07:39):
I don't even know if it is, but it sounded right.

Speaker 5 (07:41):
Yep.

Speaker 2 (07:43):
It's time to blow out the candles on today's celet birthdays.
You're all Mario Courtney Lopez. As always, Fraser is going
to tell U who's turning a year older, and we're
going to try to guess the age. Here do we
got Future mask on? Mask Off? He's the COVID theme
song king Future the Future is one of those guys too,
like he's got all kinds of he set records for

(08:05):
most songs.

Speaker 4 (08:07):
It's crazy because he also kind of flies under the radar.

Speaker 2 (08:10):
Flies Yeah, and he's a very futuristic.

Speaker 4 (08:12):
Yeah, there you go.

Speaker 2 (08:13):
My gosh, all right, go, I'll start now for after
that comment future gotta be thirty.

Speaker 3 (08:19):
Six, I'm going to go back to the future and
say thirty.

Speaker 4 (08:25):
Four forty one. Okay, okay, someone who's extremely sarcastic from
community from uh talk soup back in the day.

Speaker 3 (08:34):
Joel McHale, Oh, healthy brain.

Speaker 2 (08:38):
Had a healthy wig, but he got one now he's
going now.

Speaker 6 (08:41):
Joe exhale the candles at Wow, trying not to acknowledge it.

Speaker 2 (08:52):
One fifty one, fifty one, fifty one. I say he
is fifty three.

Speaker 4 (08:55):
Fifty three is correct? Hey, Bo, Derek, Wow, old school
Bo Derek.

Speaker 2 (09:01):
You know she's married to I don't actually for like
a long time now, wife of John Corbett for like
twenty some years.

Speaker 4 (09:09):
Oh, look at that. I did not know that.

Speaker 2 (09:11):
Baul's got to be coming in at sixty four, sixty five,
sixty eight.

Speaker 1 (09:15):
Count that.

Speaker 5 (09:16):
The countdown at Christmas continues in moments This is On

Speaker 2 (09:21):
Amaro Courtney Lopez got a first look at Sabreena Carpenter's
upcoming Netflix holiday special trailer just dropped for a nonsense Christmas.

Shania Twain, Quinta Bronson and Moore on with Mario dot
Com to check it all out.

Speaker 2 (09:46):
Oh that's like a little special. All right, let's get
back to the music. Al Mario Courtney Lopez about to
fire up Zoom and chat with a couple of actresses

(10:06):
from Grey's Anatomy, Jessica Capshaw and Camilla Ludington.

Speaker 3 (10:09):
They've got a new podcast to tell us about. Plus
we got to ask about the Anatomy of Lies doc
and Elizabeth Finch. It's a great doc. You need to
watch it back in ten with them.

Speaker 2 (10:18):
But for some more music, So everyone with Maria Lopez
joining me right now on Zoom. From Grey's Anatomy actresses
Jessica Capshaw and Camilla Luddington. How are you, ladies?

Speaker 1 (10:28):
Hello?

Speaker 2 (10:29):
Good, thank you for taking the time.

Speaker 7 (10:32):
Now.

Speaker 2 (10:32):
Y'all are actually best friends in real life and which
is always cool when you when you get to work
with somebody actually like that's always a lot of fun.
And it inspired you to create this podcast.

Speaker 4 (10:44):
Call it what it is? What's it about?

Speaker 2 (10:49):
The big Chris, very big question.

Speaker 3 (10:50):
It's an existential question.

Speaker 7 (10:52):
Really, No, it's about I mean You're exactly right.

Speaker 8 (10:55):
And I know that you've gotten to work with so
many of your good friends and it makes it so
much better because you have a shorthand with each other
and you know that you're being met with someone who's
going to assume positive intent, who is going to understand
that you are on their team, and also be able
to maybe say some things that other people won't and

(11:17):
maybe because of that relationship, you have a certain privilege
with them, right, Like, It's just that it's that it's
not brutal honesty.

Speaker 3 (11:25):
It's the opposite of brutal honesty.

Speaker 8 (11:26):
It's kind honesty, and it's the kind that makes you
feel like you have someone in your corner at all times.

Speaker 7 (11:31):
So that's where Yeah, well we're calling it like it
is with our viewer, with our listeners. So they write
into us, they share with us their stories, their problems,
and we're sort of building out our friendship circle to
include them and call.

Speaker 2 (11:43):
It what it is, and call it what it is,
all right?

Speaker 1 (11:45):
I like that.

Speaker 2 (11:46):
Yeah, you're right though, because it is disarming. You can
you can be vulnerable with each other and other people
get a chance to see side of you that maybe
they haven't yet morg Gray's Anatomy is Jessica Capshewan Camilla
Luddington after a quick.

Speaker 1 (11:57):
Break or Mario Lopez next.

Speaker 2 (12:00):
Catching up with Jessica Capshawan Camilla Luddington from Gray's Anatomy
The salur You're on Mario Lopez talking about their new podcast. So, uh,
what are some topics you're touching on?

Speaker 3 (12:10):
We've touched on so many.

Speaker 2 (12:12):
We have a wider ray Mario.

Speaker 7 (12:14):
Well, we've had recently.

Speaker 3 (12:15):
Joined Spooky season.

Speaker 7 (12:16):
We had Teresa Capudo on the show long.

Speaker 2 (12:19):
I don't know if you've got I've gotten I've had
her on the show numerous time. I God bless her,
I love her. Or hair gets bigger every time, no time.

Speaker 7 (12:27):
And that was an incredible Uh, that was an incredible episode.
But we've had a million guests too. We've had Beanie Welte.

Speaker 3 (12:34):
We started with Mandy Moore. We got to Davis Julian Hutt.

Speaker 8 (12:38):
At the beginning of Dancing with the Stars season, which
is very awesome.

Speaker 1 (12:43):
Wow.

Speaker 7 (12:43):
We had people from Gray's Anatomy like Sarah Drew, Yeah,
Kristin kind of what's gonna come on? We can talk
about all the witches.

Speaker 2 (12:50):
Yeah, that's awesome, all right, well, congrats ladies. Uh, hank tight,
because I have something I really want to ask right
after a little more music, a Mario Lopez chat and
Gray's Anatomy stars Jessica Cavshan can be letting to in
this hour and one thing that I'm fascinated in because
I saw the documentary and I was just blown away.
I know in a recent episode you discussed former GRAYZ
writer Elizabeth Finch. Have you I'm assuming you've seen Anatomy

(13:14):
of Lives?

Speaker 7 (13:15):
Wait, so I'm curious. I'm curious you watch the documentary?

Speaker 3 (13:19):
What did you think about it?

Speaker 7 (13:20):
After you?

Speaker 3 (13:20):
Did? You watch the whole thing?

Speaker 2 (13:21):
The whole thing? I thought she was the most diabolical
woman I've ever seen in my life. And the fact
that at least at the end I didn't follow up,
but it appears like she didn't suffer any real consequences
ruining these lives. And that poor woman with the family
and all that, and I doubt her brother did that,
and then the poor guy with the vampire diaries and

(13:43):
all that, and then the Scavi of Grays. I can't
even imagine being on the show and be like, Yo,
she did what and how? That's gotta be.

Speaker 4 (13:50):
That's a lot of hard work.

Speaker 2 (13:51):
You're using your memory, you're lying that often.

Speaker 4 (13:53):
I was blown away.

Speaker 2 (13:54):
What were your thoughts?

Speaker 4 (13:54):
Did Joe work with her?

Speaker 1 (13:56):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (13:56):
We both do, so you knew her? Yeah, yeah, on
the daily.

Speaker 2 (14:02):
And was she just she's just lying on the daily
or what?

Speaker 1 (14:05):
Well? I mean, but think about it.

Speaker 8 (14:06):
If someone is coming to you with that story and
has that kind of hardship in their life, why would.

Speaker 1 (14:12):
You question it?

Speaker 2 (14:13):
You're exactly why would you.

Speaker 3 (14:14):
Ever be suspicious?

Speaker 9 (14:16):
You would you ever ever if they have to excused
themselves for whatever reason, all you would do, hopefully, and
certainly what we did was throw love at it, right,
throw and empathy.

Speaker 3 (14:26):
So it's it's you're exactly right.

Speaker 8 (14:29):
Diabolical sounds right, you know, it feels, it feels and
at the very least, I mean, just from a personal standpoint,
it's it's really hurtful.

Speaker 2 (14:38):
It's just diabolical, all right, ladies, Hank tight if you would,
because I want to get back to this first more
music a Maria Lopez about to wrap up with Jessica Cavshwan,
Camille Luddington and raise anatomy, but real quick, getting back
to Elizabeth Finch in the Anatomy Elies doc. She was
like for his Gump though, and that she inserted herself
in anything that was going on, whether it was the
shooting at the synagogue, whether it's I think there'd be

(15:00):
two movement with it. I'm like, yo, this this is bunkers.
When I was watching it, thought it was so crazy.

Speaker 1 (15:05):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (15:06):
I think watching it in the documentary was such a surreal,
out of body experience. I was like, I only watched
the first episode. I couldn't get through the next two.
I was like sweating, And I said to Jessica on
our podcast, it felt like I was watching myself in
a dateline episode, right.

Speaker 8 (15:24):
And by the way, in these.

Speaker 7 (15:25):
Dateline episodes, you always think, oh my god, I would
know that person's lying, And so to watch yourself in
an episode where you feel like I really, I truly
believed everything.

Speaker 3 (15:37):
I believe everything.

Speaker 7 (15:38):
She was someone I loved and now I don't even
know who that person is.

Speaker 2 (15:43):
No, I mean, why would you question that? Like you
said earlier, of course not got to question that you're
gonna lead with love and be supportive and stuff that,
because no one's that sick to usually lie about that
sort of thing. But it was one right after another,
the Relentless Lies. I was like, damn, that was wild,
and I was I was fascinated, So I started, I said,
I wonder she's on social now she's all private.

Speaker 1 (16:03):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (16:03):
I still have a hard time actually putting the two together.

Speaker 3 (16:07):
I have a hard time.

Speaker 7 (16:09):
I have the person that I knew, and then it's
hard for me to imagine that those things were alive.
Like I still my brain can't really quite grasp it yet.

Speaker 2 (16:19):
That is such a trip. Well, your podcast sounds super cool, ladies.
How often you do it? Thank you once a week
or we.

Speaker 7 (16:25):
Do it twice a week?

Speaker 8 (16:26):
Okay, we have wed main episode that drops on Sunday nights,
and then we have a shortened sweet episode that drops
on Wednesdays.

Speaker 2 (16:32):
Yeah, the short and sweet nice.

Speaker 1 (16:34):
I like that.

Speaker 2 (16:35):
Well, congratulations and listen. You can check out Jessica Capshaw
and Coming to London's podcast call It What It Is
right now on iHeartRadio, and of course, catch all the
episodes of Grey's Anatomy on Hulu. Thank you so much

Doug More, Mario Lopez on the Way O, Mario.

Speaker 2 (16:56):

All Mario Courtney Lopez. Thanksgiving, of course coming up next week,

Caste Lopez has been looking festive.

Speaker 3 (17:28):
That's right.

Speaker 2 (17:29):
You did a great job, honey, you, your mom, your aunt.
It was a family effort.

Speaker 4 (17:34):
Did you help?

Speaker 2 (17:35):
I cheered them on?

Speaker 4 (17:37):
Okay, No he didn't. You brought the holiday cheer.

Speaker 3 (17:40):
He did not put the star on the tree.

Speaker 4 (17:42):
He hasn't Lopez yet, No, no, Lopez yet.

Speaker 2 (17:45):
I feel like our tree got taller.

Speaker 4 (17:46):
It did a bigger ladder.

Speaker 2 (17:47):
Last year. We got to get a bigger ladder last year.
I'll tree, I'll low pezzy it up. You're all Mario
Courtney Lopez. With Thanksgiving just around the corner, we're trying
to bone up on our Turkey day knowledge. Time for
another many Thanksgiving pop quiz. There, that's a little let's
get our hands on the.

Speaker 4 (18:05):
Buzzers meeting someone very anxious to answer. All right, here
we go.

Speaker 3 (18:09):
I like mine, mine's arm.

Speaker 2 (18:11):
I know which date produces the most turkeys.

Speaker 4 (18:12):
Hold on, we're not doing that yet. I don't even
know if that that was a question the other day
that should apply. Here's her first question it is. It
is multiple choice. How many pilgrims came over on the Mayflower?
Eighty nine one O two, one eighty five or two seventeen?
That is according B B which was what B?

Speaker 1 (18:36):
One?

Speaker 4 (18:36):
O two? Correct? Wow, gets a letter?

Speaker 7 (18:42):
I did?

Speaker 4 (18:43):
Okay, one hundred and two people? And how many ships
for a prop.

Speaker 3 (18:48):
Twelve?

Speaker 4 (18:49):
No one the Mayflower?

Speaker 2 (18:50):
The Mayflower, Well they had they had rescue boats, Nina
the Pinta in the sand.

Speaker 4 (18:59):
All right, and that's only three, not twelve. Yes, all right,
here we go. It's one to zero. Next question, in
what year did the first American Thanksgiving celebration take place?
Mario sixteen twenty four incorrect, Courtney eighteen ninety two, incorrect.

(19:19):
You are going to kick yourself sixteen twenty one. What
did you say sixteen twenty four you get a prop
because that was cool?

Speaker 2 (19:27):
That was pretty dangl like three years away you had
like two centuries away. I'm like three years away. That
was pretty good at all?

Speaker 4 (19:35):
God, that was pretty instead of God, honey yours.

Speaker 2 (19:38):
I'm so I have such a smart husband. You're over
arguing with me.

Speaker 4 (19:40):
You know what he's giving you compliments to give him?

Speaker 2 (19:43):
Yes, exactly, you should be. I'm not recognized, recognized.

Speaker 4 (19:47):
That was three years now.

Speaker 3 (19:48):
You are not forced compliments out of me like you
