episode of Dancing with the Stars. Six couples left, and
they're going to each recreate a memorable dance from previous seasons.
Then there's gonna be an instant dance challenge where the
pairs will have five minutes to choreograph and learn a
new routine on the spot. Now we're getting crazy with
some of these challenges.
Speaker 3 (00:50):
Now do they know these challenges are coming up? Because
I would just have it already prepared.
Speaker 2 (00:55):
You gotta know it, because come on, if we know,
they know, yeah, exactly?
Speaker 3 (00:58):
All right, Well, Olympia and Alona mar should be on
the hot seat due to her scores, but after the
surprise elimination of Bacherette Jen Tran, you know, anything could
happen at this point.
Speaker 1 (01:08):
Wow, okay more Mario Lopez coming up?
Speaker 2 (01:12):
You're all Mari Courtney Lopez sticularly what's on TV today?
Speaker 3 (01:16):
NBC premiers yet another medical show called Saint Dennis Medical
and office style sitcom about a team of eclectic nurses
and doctors.
Speaker 2 (01:24):
It looks pretty funny. They're basically trying to do the
office in the hospital much like they did the office
in the classroom with Abbot Elementary. But the stuff like
scene looks pretty funny.
Speaker 3 (01:34):
A and E debuts Extreme road Ragers get to know
some of the country's most intense drivers with insights from
their family and friends. Ooh okay, Max and ID has
Operation Undercover. Get a front row seat to what really
goes on during high risk undercover staying the operations.
Speaker 2 (01:52):
Oh that could be good, Mario Courtney Lopez, here was
some quick buzz for you. Tom Hardy, my man continues
to rule the box office. Is movie venom. The Last
Dance was the biggest film for the third straight week.
Speaker 3 (02:04):
Okay, it added another sixteen million, bringing its total in
North America to one hundred and fourteen million dollars. The
Holiday movie The Best Christmas Page Ever was number two
with a little more than eleven million.
Speaker 2 (02:20):
So by Mario Courtney Lopez. Back to the music in
just to sec But first we did something really awesome
over the weekend to kick off the holiday fund. We
took a bunch of family and friends on a little
weekend wine trip to beautiful Temecula, California, which is about
an hour and a half outside of LA And I
know much as said about Napa Valley and that area,
(02:42):
but I got to tell you, Temecula Valley is one
of the best hidden secrets here in southern California. They've
got over fifty wineries. They're all outstanding. We've been to
a lot of them. We've been going to for ten years.
Ten years.
Speaker 3 (02:55):
It was our tenth anniversary.
Speaker 2 (02:57):
And we so look forward to it and our family
and friends have such an awesome time, and it is
on par with Napa, I'll tell you. And they do
such a great job of combining the wineries with the restaurants,
which are amazing there. And then you've got BATCHI and
sometimes badminton or pickleball and all these different fun activities.
(03:20):
And even downtown Temecula is super cute, so charming. It's
like the old wild wild West sort of town, stepping
back in time. It's been there since the eighteen hundreds,
so much so that we were thinking, you know what,
this would be a great place for a Christmas movie.
And I want to give a shout out to our
(03:40):
guy who always takes care of us there, Captain Lunis
with have fun tours. He is the absolute best. He's
just an awesome individual. And also shout out to Norma
from the Border tourism in Temecula. But I'll tell you what,
if you want a quick weekend getaway or just going
with some friends, they do a lot of weddings down
there as well. Gorgeous, It's absolutely gorgeous, and this time
(04:02):
of year was great to go by the way, that's
the move right after Halloween because it was gorgeous and sunny.
Oh I'm still feeling it a few days later.
Speaker 3 (04:11):
Me too.
Speaker 2 (04:11):
Yes, but I'll tell you what. Check out to Mecula
if you get a chance.
Speaker 1 (04:16):
More Mario Lopez coming up.
Speaker 2 (04:18):
A Mario Courtney Lopez about to fire up to Zoom
and get to today's guest, not only a member of Instinct,
but also a next judge on my old show ABDC.
Speaker 3 (04:26):
Love that show, mister j. C. Chase. He's got an
interesting new music project to tell us about next.
Speaker 2 (04:32):
It's up here on Mario Lopez joining me now on
Zoom Grammy nominated singer and songwriter, my old pal JC Chase,
Welcome the show man.
Speaker 4 (04:40):
Yeah, we're co co workers.
Speaker 2 (04:44):
That's right at one point. That's right. That was a
nice run of course on ABDC America's Beez Dance Crew
right there. Congratulations Will. Meanwhile, on your newest project, Playing
with Fire, is this like a musical theater concept album?
How would you describe it? So that's exactly what it is.
Speaker 4 (05:02):
So my writing partner and I his name is Jimmy Harry,
and we wrote a musical call Playing with Fire, and
we've written the book and the music, and in order
to kickstart the interest, we thought it would be fun
to release the music into.
Speaker 2 (05:16):
The world like Jesus Christ Superstar did back in the day.
Speaker 4 (05:18):
It's like they released the concept album to kind of
wet everyone's appetite for you know what the show could
be like. So we released the music Playing with Fire,
the music from the musical fun Man.
Speaker 2 (05:30):
Yeah, that's that's a lot of hard work right there,
because it's a mountain of work, you know. Yes, absolutely,
all right, jac hang on, I got to take quick break,
then we'll come back with more. J C almar A
Lopez JCE is a hang out this hour telling us
all about his new music project, Playing with Fire. So
break this down.
Speaker 4 (05:48):
So Playing with Fire is an adaptation of Mary Shelley Sprankenstein.
Oh okay, And so what our piece has done is
it's we musicalized it.
Speaker 2 (05:59):
You know.
Speaker 4 (06:00):
It's like we were thinking about, you know, different projects
that we wanted to work on, and you know, Mary
Shelley wrote a story two hundred plus years ago about
humanity and technology interfacing and you know, and and and
really talking about the responsibility that that that we have
(06:20):
to have as humankind when we create something. And so
we thought, what an amazing story to tell, and we
thought that we had a unique perspective on it when
we started working on it. And what we thought was, Okay,
we're going to write a story about humanity and technology.
And what we ended up writing in the end was
(06:42):
a story about a father and son working out their differences,
and that's what really struck me. You know, everybody thinks
Frankenstein maybe is just this story about you know, technology
and monsters and murderer and all of these things, and
really what we found it to be was a story
(07:03):
about humanity.
Speaker 1 (07:05):
More fun. On the Way On with Mario Lopez.
Speaker 2 (07:09):
Jac on zoom with us. You're on Mario Lopez. We've
been talking about his new music project, Playing with Fire.
So jac is this something you're going to play live?
Could there be a possible musical production in the future.
Speaker 4 (07:20):
Absolutely, Look again, this is step one again. We're releasing
the concept album Playing with Fire as an appetizer because
we want to make this musical, you know, and making
musicals takes many years, right, Yeah, But I come from
music and we thought, hey, you know, why don't we
control what we can control and at least get the
word out the way we know how as music people,
(07:40):
And so the goal next what we would like to do,
and I think we're going to do it within the
next six months, is a concert and then from there
take it into workshops and into out of towns and
then ultimately to one of the stages either in the
West End or you know, if anything is out there
that is willing to let us put it on Broadway,
it would be fantastic.
Speaker 2 (08:00):
That's awesome, man. Well, good luck with that. Yeah, thank you,
you got it. Let's get back to music. Mario Lopez
here getting back to j C. Who's on Zoom And
I know you co wrote one of Liam Payne's last songs,
tear Drops. Yeah. What was your experience working with him?
Speaker 4 (08:18):
You know, anytime that I was in the room with him,
he was fantastic. You know, And again I don't want
to speak too much on it, just because you know,
I want to be respectful to his loved ones and
his family. But we had a mutual friend, is a
(08:38):
songwriter named Jamie, and he put us in the room
together because look, we both came from this boy band
background and and things like that, and we had some
some fun laughs about, you know, the similarities and the
differences in the experience. But I have to say that
every experience that I had with him in the room
was absolutely wonderful.
Speaker 2 (08:57):
Yeah, I've spent I got to spend a lot of
time with and he was a really, really nice guy.
Jac is hanging out with us. We have more with
him after a little more music. You're on Mario Lopez
catching up with jay Z Shase and before I forget man,
I wanted to mention I really enjoyed the documentary. I
just found it fascinating about the one with Ron Pearlman
(09:18):
Dirty Pop. There's been so many. Now have you seen
that one in particular? I don't. I don't know if
I've seen that one. I've seen a couple of that.
That one was really good.
Speaker 4 (09:27):
Kind of keep resurfacing every couple of years. Another one kind.
Speaker 2 (09:30):
Of that one was well done. And what I found
so fascinating about it is you had this guy who
clearly was talented as far as being able to have
an eye and recognizing talent, assembling them the music and
what have you, but he couldn't get out of his
own way. Even after he made legitimate money. He continued
to be shady, which is so weird your figure. Once
(09:52):
you start making legitimate money, why are you still gonna
go be shady so much? It was I was like
I was blowed away.
Speaker 4 (09:58):
It really is wild, you know, and you were.
Speaker 2 (10:01):
I'm sorry to rupt, but you kind of like, at
least in the Dock. It alluded to like you kind
of saw that and you kind of kind of sense
that this full shady all right from the.
Speaker 4 (10:10):
Dead, you know, and it's like, you know, you don't
realize it at first, obviously, because when you are and
I don't want to, you know, Yeah, when you're conning someone,
they're showing you something.
Speaker 2 (10:22):
And they're good at it.
Speaker 4 (10:22):
Look, we weren't the only people that that he manipulated.
You know. It's like he's he manipulated banks and he manipulated.
Speaker 2 (10:30):
You know what I mean. Well, no, that's what I'm saying. Like,
but once you started making real money with you guys backstreet,
this and that, he continued with his airline and I'm like,
why is he doing that? Wild good question? Yeah, it
was so wild to me. I was so wild to
be it was really good as I did piece.
Speaker 4 (10:47):
It's something I'll never understand. Look, even when we were
in the trenches and we thought, look, this is this
our careers could end in this moment right now, but
we just felt.
Speaker 2 (10:58):
Like we had to be truthful to our selves.
Speaker 4 (11:00):
When we were in court with him, It's like we
actually made offers that were reasonable offers to continue to
work together. You know, if he would have accepted them,
and he just didn't, just didn't feel like he had to.
Speaker 2 (11:17):
It's so sorry. It's so sorry, you know.
Speaker 4 (11:20):
In those moments to bully us, and it was just
kind of like what am I doing this for?
Speaker 2 (11:24):
I mean, I literally can't eat, you know.
Speaker 5 (11:27):
It's like he couldn't give up those blimps.
Speaker 2 (11:29):
Yeah, dude, the blimps, the faker.
Speaker 5 (11:32):
The blimps crashed at once, and no one thought that
was suspicious.
Speaker 2 (11:35):
The whole thing I was. It was really good. I
like the document just as a as an entertainment phase.
All right, JC, hank Ty, one more thing I want
to ask before we wrap it up. More with JC.
Speaker 1 (11:44):
After the break, we hear the full interview now on
with Mario dot Com more Mario Lopez on the way.
Speaker 2 (11:50):
Rabbing up with then sings J. C. Chase are on
with Mario Lopez and speaking and saying, you keep in
touch with the guys all the time. Oh, that's good
to hear. I'd like to hear that. Is there like
a god think you know, it's like everybody's got a
group chat now, you know what. Yeah, yeah, no, that's cool,
that's cool that you know. I haven't heard anything negative
about any strife, so that's cool. People always like to
hear that.
Speaker 1 (12:09):
Well.
Speaker 2 (12:10):
Ay, brother, congratulations on everything and listen. You can check
out Playing with Fire on iHeartRadio or wherever you get
new music JC. Thanks for hanging out. Yes, sir, all right,

at alimrio dot com.
Speaker 2 (12:54):
You're all Mario Courtney Lopez. Let's get to your comments.
Would you find honey?
Speaker 3 (12:58):
This is from at Bendito Jo. I like that name.
Is that hear me out on this one. Let's cut
every day down to twenty one hours. We take those
three hours from each day and create a new day
between Sunday and Monday where nobody works.
Speaker 2 (13:14):
I like the way you're thinking, Bandito Juanito, but it's
not practical because I barely get stuff done as it is.
In the twenty four, twenty four. There's no way I'm
gonna be able to finish what I do in twenty
one hours. And if I try to, then I'm just
gonna get less shape.
Speaker 5 (13:32):
Yeah, those three hours are going to be sleeping.
Speaker 3 (13:35):
Take the work day or the sleep day, even if
it's an hour and a half from each, you're still losing,
you know, losing sleep.
Speaker 2 (13:40):
We're gonna be looking older, all tore up.
Speaker 3 (13:42):
Oh, that's me already.
Speaker 2 (13:43):
We're already. We're always harping on how important sleep is.
So good intentions, but more Mario Lopez coming up. I'mar
Courtney Lopez put in a spotlight on my wife. Who's
got a random thought? What you got, honey?
Speaker 3 (13:58):
Okay, how did one hour make it go from dark
at nine pm to dark at five pm? Somebody's lying
that's only a one hour difference, but yet everything changes dramatic.
Speaker 5 (14:09):
It's like we live in a different world.
Speaker 2 (14:11):
It's so wild. Ironically, we were just talking about Bandido Juanito,
who wrote in talk about cutting the day down. That's
what it feels like when you do the daylight savings
time thing. I don't I don't like it. I don't
like it at all. Mario Courtney Lopez here quickly making
a digital pit stop at our own Mario dot com
to see what's trending.
Speaker 3 (14:32):

Knight Rises and Hathaway.
Speaker 3 (15:10):
You know, don't say it.
Speaker 2 (15:14):
Where there's a will, there's half away. That's not what
it is.
Speaker 3 (15:18):
But I knew where you're going. It's something if you
can't figure it out, and half Away.
Speaker 2 (15:28):
And and goes this way and goes that way. It
doesn't matter and always has the way up. What that said?
Speaker 1 (15:36):
Anne is.
Speaker 3 (15:40):
Halthaway too, fifty five, she is thirty three.
Speaker 2 (15:45):
Thirty three is mathway way off the way. Your math
is not good. Your word plays off.
Speaker 3 (15:51):
Now it is a bad day today.
Speaker 2 (15:53):
She is hitting the fourth level. She's forty. She is forty. Hey,

La Land from Barbie.
Speaker 3 (16:02):

plow your nose in the napkin.
Speaker 2 (16:08):
Ryan turned my head. Well, you don't have a mic

Speaker 2 (16:37):
We treat every day like a holiday. What are we
celebrating today? Honey?
Speaker 3 (16:41):
It's delicious, and I never think about it until it's
out for like a holiday, and then I cannot stop
eating it. It is National French Dip Day.
Speaker 2 (16:51):
You know what's funny? You say French dip. In my
mind went to the sandwich, the French dip sandwich. But
you're talking about the actual with potato chips.
Speaker 3 (17:00):
Yeah, potato chips.
Speaker 2 (17:00):
See, I was thinking sandwich too.
Speaker 3 (17:02):
What is a sandwich?
Speaker 2 (17:03):
You know what I just got the other day of
prop You dip it in a in the ju sauce
and I put the horse strategy.
Speaker 3 (17:08):
That's for me. That's too late.
Speaker 2 (17:10):
So you just want French dip for chips exactly.
Speaker 3 (17:13):
Okay, I'm a Danny's.
Speaker 2 (17:14):

You're a Mario Courtney Lopez. Thanksgiving just around the corner,
so we're gonna squeeze in a mini Thanksgiving pop quiz.
Speaker 3 (17:47):
God I lose answering some Turkey Day trivia. Let's get
our hands on the buzzers on with.
Speaker 1 (17:53):
Mario pop quiz.
Speaker 2 (17:55):
All right, here we go.
Speaker 5 (17:59):
What Thanksgiving vegetables slash side dish was grown in space?
That is Courtney stuffing incorrect incorrect. Potato potato is correct.
In nineteen ninety five, in collaboration between NASA and the
University of Wisconsin, potatoes were grown in space inside the
(18:19):
Columbia Space Shuttle.
Speaker 2 (18:20):
Wherever in space we can just carb up. We're good
to go. Love it all right?
Speaker 5 (18:25):
One to zero on average? This is multiple choice on average.
How many people attend the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade in
New York City? Is it A one point five million,
B three point five million, C five point five million,
or D six million. It's Mario B B three point
five million, That is correct. Two more questions? How much
(18:48):
this is closest without going over? How much did the
world's largest pumpkin pie weigh in pounds? Mario twenty eight
pounds Courney the world's largest pumpkin pie. Pumpkin pie, not
pumpkin pumpkin pie. Yeah, I'm helping you.
Speaker 3 (19:06):
I don't even need to No, two hundred and fifty pounds.
Speaker 5 (19:09):
Courtney gets it at three thousand, six hundred and ninety
nine pounds. Wait, what your According to the Guinness Book
of World Records the pie made by the New Breamen
Giant Pumpkin Growers in Ohio in twenty ten. It weighed
almost thirty seven hundred pounds and was twenty feet in diameter.
Speaker 2 (19:28):
Oh my god, so yeah, that's literally one hundreds or
you said that.
Speaker 3 (19:33):
I was going to say seven hundred and fifty pounds.
I was still off.
Speaker 2 (19:35):
I just I assume like one pumpkin and the biggest
pumpkin for the pie, right, yeah, I miss multiple pumpkins.
Speaker 5 (19:41):
One last question. It is still two to zero. This
one will be crush that pie. By the way, this
one will be worth ten points. So it's anyone's game.
What state raises the most turkeys? Mario Texas incorrect? Courtney
Utah incorrect? Minnesota?
Speaker 2 (20:02):
Really?
Speaker 1 (20:03):
Mario Lopez will be right back? What out?
Speaker 2 (20:06):
Mario Lopez here? And Jamie Fox ready to come clean
about the emergency that left him fighting for his life
last year, Netflix dropping Jamie's new stand up special. What
had happened was He's gonna talk about his hospitalization, which
he's never really explained. Jamie also says he was unconscious
for twenty days and woke up with no memory of
(20:26):
what happened? That's while the comedy special comes out on
December tenth. Mario Courtney Lopez. Here, we're getting six new
balloons that this year is Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade for
the first time ever, Mini Mouse believe it or not,

Speaker 2 (20:52):
That's fun.
Speaker 3 (20:53):
We're also getting a new Spider Man. Thanksgiving is November
twenty eight.
Speaker 2 (20:57):
Nice y'all, Mario Lopez. Time now for one last thing.
It is an end of an era for professional break dancing.
Australia's Rachel Gunn aka ray Gun has retired from competition.
She went viral, of course, during the Olympics for her
unique performance her and the Shooter from Croatia I believe
(21:20):
it from Turkey who took second place. Yes, that guy
was awesome. Those are my two standouts. Rachel says, all
the backlash got to her, so she's hanging up her
ADZ jumpsuit. She's still gonna do community jams and dance
at home, but she's done with competing. She should have
leaned into it and just kind of had fun with it.
Where it got controversial is come to find out she
was on the committee to pick the dancers, and she
(21:43):
picked herself. That's why people got to set that. Yes,
that changes everything.
Speaker 5 (21:48):
I can't wait for the documentary.
Speaker 3 (21:49):
I did not know that. That is completely different.
Speaker 2 (21:52):
Yes it is. She's like, I'm the best the country
has to offer. You know what, I will do it.
I will do it. She's picking act.
Speaker 5 (22:02):
I question her judgment on him.
Speaker 2 (22:03):
Many things so funny.
Speaker 1 (22:05):
More Mario Lopez coming up.
Speaker 2 (22:08):
All right, we're out of here, but we're back tomorrow
a new case in Court's court.
Speaker 3 (22:12):
Plus our good deed of the week. Until then, this
is Mario and Courtney Lopez saying goodnight.
Speaker 1 (22:17):
Drawn with Mario Lopez
